Which we hinted at in the UrbanSurvival. column Friday. Today, we look into the rabbit hole and see how our “lookahead” is looking, if that makes sense.
Quiet and busy spring day and the scent of coronation silliness hangs heavy in the air.
So let’s focus on the useful part: Making a little money in markets and buying a solid defense against a chilling future.
We start by ordaining 3Chuck (Marketed as Chucky Kingness) and tell you about a Deep Fake video of the Fed boss, first…
No point getting too serious – it would wreck the weekend.

The other big ponder is USAF tactics over Syria – lighting up radar on Russian fighters, yet turning and RUNNING from any and all air to air engagements. Along same vein, appears US military is AFRAID to dogfight with the Ruskie aviators .
WTF has happened to our fighting forces ? Top Gun my ass, more like Broke Dick Gun – inferior equipment for 50X the cost.

It’s good to be King (BCN)! Drawing Ruskie fighter attention could well be an old electronic warfare (EW) tactic, getting the opponent to reveal their target tracking frequencies, which after analysis back at the home base or carrier, improves future chances of evasion and also improves the probability of friendly jamming capability. Yes, yes . . . we be Jammin’!

oh I didn’t know it was Charles coronation this weekend. I don’t watch or look at the news. I got to zero hedge once and a while, Steve Quayle (I really like steve) glp and here once and a while to get my news. most of the news. I get from the world around me. tells me everything I need to know. all the time.
good for Charles, nothing like being a puppet on a paper throne.
personal I like my throne better. every 10 loads is 1.2 million dollars. it’s good to be the King.
ETF’s or Options–
The better alternative is futures. ES and MES (mini contract) or if you want the same leverage with much lower capital, index CFD’s in a Forex account but you’ll have to use an overseas broker and fund it and withdraw in crypto.
Those eliminate the risk of time decay on options and give a great balance of leverage. Big Boys in Chicago do not like the fact that you can get 1:100 leverage with CFDs and would rather cough up premium to make your option plays with 85% of the rest, worthless. Hence the reason you can’t find them in the US. Many offer it on stocks as well, so rather than TSLA or APPl options which suck up premium, get the same leverage with a CFD which doesn’t.

“We sit around for hours on end pondering “Should we play with options?” where 10X returns are not uncommon, but so are 100 percent losses,”
– I believe that I have said that I trade options. It’s all I have ever traded. I wanted to learn how to day-trade the markets [ decades ago.] and had a friend on the CBOE – who took me under his wing and taught me a lot.
– The point of re-saying this? You do not ‘play’ with options trading., which I am sure the word ‘play’ was an off-the-cuff comment. Options are a different beast – and they can eat you alive if you take them lightly. I have done rather well lately – over 300% last year., and already over 240% this year., but I know that one “unwise” trade can wipe that off the books in the matter of hours. [ If you are inattentive..,]
– I did not trade Friday, even though I knew the market was going up – but I wasn’t going to be home for most of the day and couldn’t keep track., and did not want to hold the trade over the weekend.., so – I sat it out. Missed out on around 6% – but., I can’t break my Dirty-Dozen Trade Rules – so I left it alone.
– Consider Options Trading., rather seriously., and then – reconsider. It is rather “consuming”., but worth it – if you are willing and able.
Sage advice, brother.
I’m somewhat curious about this too. Unlike JP Morgan and George, I tend to jump too late rather than too early. Gambling for me is a chore rather than a dopamine hit. Winning is great as long as it’s generally consistent, but all that attention and work for a net loss is a non-starter. I’ve done OK with real things like work and physical assets, but never quite got the ability to read and win in the paper markets. I tend to agree with the Buffet rule #1: Don’t lose money!
You are absolutely right. If you consider market trading work and a chore – you should not be doing it. Very wise to stay out of it.
the only game I play on the market is the long game.
did you know once upon a time I was a casino Regulator. I was an inspector II at a couple Indian casinos. been to the fbi school to catch, theives cheats and systems of scam. I can still spot a counterfeit $100 bill from accross the room.
as a Regulator this the principles of the casino.
players play the odds.
casino plays the laws of probability, (longer one stays in the casino, the better chance of them loosing.)
Regulators play the law of potential. in God we trust everyone else is suspect.
casino spend billions every year to mind fuck customers out money. everything from the chairs that turn back forward to subtlety pull you back towards the slot machine to the busy carpet to the bubble eye in the sky that can see you but you can’t see it. to the tones on the slot machines.
now Indian casinos have to pay a certain amount back. slots are more like electronic scratch tickets. they have to give back by law 70% of the month they take in, in a 24 hour period. Vegas is different. most slots pay 90% back. because they want to keep ya coming in and keep you playing. people think when they push the button on a slot machine what comes up is what they chose. but when you push the button on a slot machine you are choosing the next pull. the one you see, is the last one you pulled. you can rub your magic troll doll all you want on the side of the machine. or chant to budah it doesn’t matter. because it’s all predetermined templates. percentage based.
changing buttons from $0.50 bet to $1.00.bet changes you to a different template.
think of each button as a bucket of pull tabs. people think oh I will bet low then bet high then bet middle to trick the system. which is funny. because each button on the slot machine has its own template. you are just switching from one bucket to another bucket. if you stick with one bucket (or bet button) your chances of winning are greater.
almost every time I go to the casino (which isn’t very often) I win. because of 3 rules I learned as a Regulator.
#1. listen. when the casino is loud? game# and slots are paying. bet high. when the casino is quiet? the casino is on the take.
#2. I only go in with $40. if I don’t win with that $40? I leave. as soon as I start winning. I put my original $40 back in my pocket and play with the houses money.
#3. I don’t stay in the casino more than an hour and a half. because that is what the casino is betting on. at an hour and a half, most people start loosing. 90 minutes is their rule.
#4. i don’t bet the rent money at the casino. ever. that is a super super important lesson.
this is very very important lesson about casinos: pay attention->>>>>>
I’ve seen someone hit 40 Jackpots in a day. the casino called me and said, hey this lady hit 30 (at the time) Jackpots on the $10.00 slot machine!!! shes won $74,000
you need to come have a look. she had a whole crowd around her. been in the casino all day. so I went and looked. went up to the machine and saw her players card in there. went and ran the numbers on her players card, and the machine stats. she spent $100,000 on that machine to win $74,000. the server system showed me exactly how much she put in compared to how much she won.
I went and talked the casino manager and showed him the numbers. said hey if she wants to spend $26,000 in 12 hours to be cool for the day? I suggest you give her a fancy free drink with a little umbrella in it.
in her mind she is thinking. I’m up $74,000 and everyone around her is thinking she is the luckiest woman in the world. but in reality she was down $26,000.
never forget that lesson.
that is why when I hit 6 Jackpots in 90 minutes for a total of $27,000 at the quest casino couple years ago. they asked me if I wanted a free room etc. etc. I looked at my timer and saw it had been exactly 90 minutes. I said no thank you, I would like an escorrt to my car tho. thank you very much. and i went in the casino with only $40.
never set foot in the door of that Casino ever again. LOL
good luck.
the average person pushes the button on a slot machine 8 times a minute. at a $1.00 bet. that $8.00 a minute. of the template is running at 90% casino pays back 9.00. so every single minute that slot machine is making a dollar. times 4000 machines, that is $4000 a minute average. but it’s within a 24 hour period and not all machines are running a 90% template. and end of day it has to be 90% per the template. end of day doesn’t mean midnight. it means when the template was installed and up and running.
so it can take 40% all day long and then pay a jackpot later. to make up the difference. but either way. it’s still taking 10% of every button push. if it’s running a 90% template. LOL it only has to be running a 70% template to be legal. according to the law of Indian gaming.
lol
I bet long on the markets. because of what my first ex wife taught me. she cashed me out of our house $50k. 2 months later the housing market crashed in 2008. she road that bitch out, didn’t sell it and sold the house a year ago for a big money profit. house tripled in value. she actually rented it out and use the rent money to make one payment and made the payment in her salary. so double payments. smart woman. can’t say a bad thing about her.
uhem at a 90% template the casino pays back $7 for every $8 it takes.
don’t forget the 90 minute rule. the only exception I make is if I lose my original $40 right out the gate? I leave immediately.
even when I am playing with the houses money. I never stay longer than 90 minutes. if I’m winning big and fast? I might roll out at the 60 minutes. before they send the pretty girls over to tell me how handsome I am, and lucky etc etc. offer me food and all that. hahahahha.
because they do that shit. I’ve seen fools have some pretty blonde sit next to them and start flirting and blow all them winnings back into the machine. hahaha. when I’m up big time, as soon as the pretty girl sits down on the machine next to me, bats her eye lashes, smiles and turns her head away, then the free drink lady comes by me and says, “cocktails!” I cash out my ticket out and leave the casino right away.
to this day. I have never met anyone ever, who met their soul mate on the slot machine next to them, while they were winning. hahaha.
you may be different. hahaha
HAHA George! You finally put in an ad blocker detector! Ure’s is one of the few sites where I don’t mind the ads, since some are interesting. The Harbor Fright ad reminded me to pick up my free bucket this weekend when I go to town. The only problem is that it takes far too long to click and examine all of the ads. I mainly use Brave, and I can set a custom parameter in the “Shields” section. I set Urban as a “Shields Down” entry. I didn’t even know I could do this until I tried. I do appreciate that this is not currently on PN though. It makes sense on the free side, but IMHO, not the premium side.
You can expect my autorenew this month if my bank or PayPal doesn’t fail first.
I wondered where that came from but I’m on my wife’s laptop using her phone to hotspot so everything is different. Brave blocks everything pretty efficiently.
We’re having a full-blown EMP practice run on the South end of the county. Found out on the way home from the grandkid’s tennis tournament that the power had been out since this morning. Went by the local power station and every single transformer looked as if it was missing and they were trying to shoehorn in a temporary power transformer package. So far the latest guestimate for getting ‘lectricity back is about 1 AM and that’s the third time it’s been reset down the time line. Looks like we’re staying in town tonight. Put towels down around the refrigerators as one had defrosted pretty well by the time we got back. I may have to bring the welder/generator in tomorrow morning if things look bad still.

Hi Elanor – I took off the MailChimp account that had been sending out the notices.
It was $300 a year even though it was only 520 people using it.
Sorry for any inconvenience – I am looking at hosting my own notification system – will keep you posted!
Thanks. I was feeling really lonely at breakfast until I realized I could google you.

I watched some of the coronation hoping to see a surface to surface. Or a glimpse of the Benben Stone. Neither. A lot of Middle eastern religion.
Re: Taintered
Folks,
I scanned today’s newspaper from beginning to end. There was no mention of The Coronation happening over in London today, nor of Mr. Trudeau’s journey to the event.
The flagship CBC “The National” late night news hour was hosted by heavy-eyed anchors situated under ghoulish lighting before the darkened silhouette of Buckingham Palace rendered upon digital screen akin to a virtual House of Horrors at the fairground. The broadcast’s documentary piece featured an in-house production from Jamaica. It interviewed local co-ed millennials lightly clad in a couture decidedly unobservant of the pending Coronation. They hoped for reparations. The piece broke for commercial as one gentleman in redolent pose admitted that he saw no reason for Jamaica not to be a first world country as his surrounding girlfriends dissolved in laughter.
The television schedule advised of the two hour bridging programming between the end of the newscast and the start of the CBC live coverage of The Coronation. It consisted of four back-to-back rerun episodes of the ended 3 years ago CBC sitcom, “Schitt’s Creek”. A formerly wealthy family beset by fraud relocate to the said named town which now comprises their primary asset.
God save the King.
Re: the Grim Rapper
Folks,
Here is a story from the shadows by the “Daily Mail” written by Ms. Okanrende, an Anglo-Nigerian former radio host turned journalist.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-12053999/Royal-fans-claim-spot-Grim-Reaper-King-Charles-Coronation.html
Her daughter was born with the assistance of a polyamorous top African rapper going by the pseudonym Olamide (tr.: ‘my wealth has arrived’). The child’s given name Asaiah, “God made me”, is shared with the personal secretary of the 16th King of Judah.
Let’s catch up with DJ George, perhaps basking in receipt of accolades for a proverbial hanging of Coronation bunting in his throne room, as he beats our path foward towards promising futures in the workshop. Meanwhile, seize the moment with Olamide from his first album on American shores, “Carpe Diem”. Wrap it up, folks!

Re: One 4 the Ages
feat. American Idol judges
Folks,
The last Coronation in 1953 apparently had future First Lady Ms. Bouvier stationed outside Buckingham Palace reporting for a Chicago media group. Thankfully the rained-on 2023 Coronation offered Dr. Biden and her accompanying grand-daughter, two Americans clad in the colours of Ukraine (as were the mother and sister of Princess Kate), shelter from the elements in a back row of Westminster Abbey. Attending journalists penned hopes that American entertainer Katy Perry’s substantive lilac hat did not pose a distraction to guests seated behind her. One imagines she would be welcomed into the Royal Compound at a future running of Ascot.
Anecdotal accounts would appear to indicate that the lioness king was well rested with her overnight accommodation at Windsor Castle prior to Sunday’s Coronation Concert. It seems Ms. Perry’s delivery of “Roar” was well received.
Show closers “Take That” were abruptly disconnected from the BBC One channel as their final song overran a scheduled 2200 bst finish. With plug pulled on the King as the Duchess of Edinburgh rocked the Royal Box (graced with Andrew & Fergie!), the nation was presented with the news followed by the football match of the day. Now they know how Sir Paul McCartney must have felt after the Beeb cut him short at Glastonbury.

Alaskan Trucking Fleets Promise $150K Driver Salaries Amid Drilling Boom
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/alaskan-trucking-fleets-promise-150k-driver-salaries-amid-drilling-boom
all I need to know about how things are going in the world is this.
last year I was working for that company Hos. driving side dump. working 6 days a week. we were running those trucks hard. tons of work. all these big Amazon, Microsoft, Google and other projects. one clearing 390 acres down in Frederickson in Boeing.
all those projects got canceled or post-poned until next year or further notice. I talked to a buddy over there and he worked 1 day in 3 weeks this last month. when last year we were working 6 days a week, 12 hour days. even the big clearing 390 acres job which was 3 years worth of work, got put on hold for 2 years.
and the government did a big gun grab in Washington state. passing laws to make it illegal to buy certain guns.
when I talked to a couple buddies and an owner of small dump trucking outfit. he said I’ve never in 30 years of running dump trucks ever seen it this slow. people’s house payments and bills are stacking up, everyone I know is behind on bills and food and gas are super expensive right now.
that tells me everything I need to know about the nature of what is in the future.
how long? probably 3 or 4 months till shit hits the fan. truth is shit already hit the fan. what we are dealing with now is inertia.
now see, I have a current passport and I have a secret stash. I can go, jump on a plane to anywhere in the world, and land there and make a go of it for 6 months. I keep that as a saftey net. I can literally toss my phone out the window of the car, park it at the airport, jump on a plane and land in Thailand 16 hours later, grab a cab, go get a new phone and have 6 to 8 months to figure it out. or anywhere else. I make fast friends where ever I go. and with my cdl, pilots license and background in security? I can pretty much work anywhere in the world. that is a fact.
right now, I’m really pulling for America tho. I really am. praying for a revival. Revival of God and a Revival of the American Spirit of Ingenuity.
but it’s not looking good at all.
Working road trip spare time suggestion list:
Work on reducing overhead, and increase functionality of gear without increasing volume.
Find a small place with a short lease or rent-by-the month. You can live in an efficiency or 1-bedroom place. You get a two-bedroom place with a long lease, you just start filling it with stuff you don’t use and will eventually abandon. Avoid buying furniture that doesn’t fold up. Save your money.
Review your travel kit and comms. Do you have a travel bag that will work on a commercial airliner? I like travel packs for maximum flexibility.
Look at Tello for phone and 5G data service. Get a phone which will work anywhere.
Get some aerobic exercise, not just weights. https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/ is good for ideas. You would benefit from a folding bicycle with carry bag that can be transported via mass transit.
Maintain your mobility.

Couple of things coming down the pike –
Certain antibiotic drugs that have been available OTC and without Rx in feed and pet stores will now require “veterinary oversight” (i.e. a Rx) starting June 1:
https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/antimicrobial-resistance/list-approved-new-animal-drug-applications-affected-gfi-263
So start buttering up your Vet. In all fairness, though, “The voluntary process outlined in this guidance is part of FDA’s broader efforts to support antimicrobial stewardship and slow the development of antimicrobial resistance.”
Luckily, perhaps surprisingly, Ivermectin is not on that list.
