We are hoping for an “Eartbloom” before 2050 but there’s one hell of a gauntlet to run first.  Time to take a closer look because 20 years can come and go in a heartbeat.  the “good news” – such as it is – is that we do have time for avoidance maneuvers but how many will pay heed to the Threat Board?

I will be discussing a period labeled “The Gauntlet” in our modeling.  Today’s  report may be especially timing with one of the Gauntlet data loci’s on the verge of nuclear with overnight missile launches between India and Pakistan – both nuclear powers.

To cheer you up after? A few headlines and we’ll do the final ChartPack before the FOMC meeting announcement this afternoon.

    Folks,
    Yesterday a Canadian Carnival visited upon Washington. Assembled journalists may have harboured high hopes that the Oval Office presser before a planned luncheon might precipitate heated exchange and a Zelensky-like early exit. Alas it was not to be for hungry scribes. The esteemed guest merely brushed foreign dust bunnies off his trouser leg as the President pontificated. The merry troupe subsequently recessed to partake of delicacies atop beds of baby lettuce.

    Across the pond in London, this past Monday heralded the commencement of 3 celebratory days dedicated to VE 80. The Royal Family took up station in a specially constructed platform on the Victoria Memorial for a prime vantage view of the military parade along The Strand. President Zelensky had spared 11 youthful soldiers led by a chaplain in attire unsuited for a parade of such great gravitas. The unit therefore perhaps suffered the consequences by placement to march behind the manure-generating King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery. The RHA equine regiments date to 1793 and saw action during the Crimean War.

    As the Ukrainian troops were being left to fend for themselves in the British mud, President Zelensky arrived by limo greeted with lengthy walks of red carpet leading into the Brobdingnagian expanses of Prague Castle. There a photo-op ensued for the visiting First Couple beside the Czech Republic President against a background of larger-than-life Holy Roman Empire family member portraits.

    Afterwards journey was taken to Eastern Europe’s oldest university, Universitas Carolina. It was founded by issuance of a Golden Bull in 1348 with the blessing of French Pope Clement VI to the German Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV.

    Upon return to the Palace in Kyiv, the President posted video of an elaborate, formal presentation of medals to assembled soldiers. The President chose attire of a black t-shirt bearing a Ukrainian slogan which seems to translate as: “Ukraine is standing because it stands correct”(ly).

    Will China intervene with its ally Pakistan against India creating a chink (‘a narrow opening or crack’) in the BRIC gauntlet? To paraphrase President Trump speaking in the Oval Office to his dear Canadian friend: “It is what it is”.

      Teardown day after a carnie leaves town can be a sombre affair. No matter, the website of the Wilderness Festival invites its readers to “roll in the grass, run away with the circus, and discover the city of play”.   7. Wars between India and Pakistan have already happened since their split in the late 1940’s so I wouldn’t worry too much about that corner of the world at the present.

    Kabuki Theater is what is currently happening. India HAS to respond to the terrorist attack on it’s citizens in order to keep it’s population placated … which it did but was targeted. Pakistan then has to LOUDLY PROTEST in order to keep it’s population placated, which it has now done. Neither side wants to let the conflict grow into a real War … but both must cater to their own population and make it look like they are standing up for them.

    Unless some serious fighting starts soon this will die down in quick order as emotions cool.

    Relax … find a table with a great view, get a good cup of coffee, and do a crossword puzzle. A bigger Fish Fry is on the horizon … THEN you can worry.

    phew.. I can sure relate to feeling like I ran the gauntlet…
    you know about the recent threats I have received.. plugged the phone in one night.. woke up to a nightmare.. without opening any messages they were open .. the most disturbing part is .. the police acceptance that threats aimed at the elderly like this is now a common acceptable occurrence. I don’t allow any violence of slash sally on any of our television programing..then to Gey the horrendous videos and images and threats of being murdered if I didn’t send money.. with this being the new normal acceptable threat.. what has gone wrong with society.. but then look at modern gaming and prime time television.. the get to know you sites like been verified and white pages that openly share all personal information about anyone at all. while HIPPA laws at any medical facility that won’t give the patient his information yet the get to know you sites share everything..modern hospital systems with Satan as their collection agent and health insurance companies reaping huge profits by denying services.. that information is readily available on the get to know someone sites.. by the evil ones doing personal touch threats demanding cash and it readily accepted shows just how far society has traveled down the gauntlet of depravity. during times of war the USA hands out booklets in other countries to families and children so they can fashion devices with kitchen materials to protect themselves.. will this also be done as these type threats increase? I believe there are interesting times are coming..

    • Taser-like devices are pricey, but they might work for you. They aren’t usually lethal. I probably should look into them too. I really prefer Glocks and sharp edgy tools, but I dislike lawyers, judges and surgeons.
      The most dangerous places I go to on a regular basis are grocery stores and medical facilities. I am very selective of restaurants. I prefer deliveries for most everything else.
      Having had issues with vigilantes at times in the past, my favorite vigilante show has become The Boys.

      • I actually have a taste gun that I got years ago. there was a local man that was abducting women and killing them.. I put it away after he was caught.
        I will dig that out. it was quite disturbing to see a black man speaking in an american accent on video saying my name and everyone in my family each with their real world information and phone numbers and I was next if I didn’t pay.. that he knew I had seen his previous texts photos of beheaded and chopped everything gruesome. I deleted all and blocked his number. then threats were coming in from other numbers all around the country these came with just photos. another person I know was telling me that their mother was getting threatening texts and threats in a larger city that was similar. A friend told me last night that he got one at 2 am telling him they were cutting his power at home.. they knew his medical information and that his electricity was absolutely necessary..
        the last one had a foreign accent. the general thought is these kind of threats are increasing. the friend I visited with last night is thinking they bought in a me lists on the dark web possibly credit rating then with the access to everything that’s available on the get to know you personally sites they can make it more personal. like yesterday we got a notice in the mail saying they were going to place a Leon on our home if we didn’t send them money. I showed it to our banker and he said its a scam.. but that’s totally possiblee. years ago there was a list cal person that did just that to big farmers and home owners that they didn’t like. no one knew anything until they went to sell or get a loan. my wife moved out of a place in 80 in 94 she was summoned to court… unpaid utilities she had another court date proved she wasn’t a resident and the judge threw it out the collection agency went after the residents that had simply called in claiming they were her.. three months later they garnished her income.. we went to check why.. since the judge had said this is obviously not your bill.. we went to the court house they said..she didn’t come to her court appearance.. the collection agent simply penciled in her name at the bottom of the summons and sent it certified mail to a town that she never had ever lived .. she refused her mail.. we petitioned The court for this went back.. the judge got mad and threatened to toss me in jail when I asked isn’t it illegal for someone to pose as another to gain utilities? we paid that bill .. what we discovered is if someone calls a business office says they are you even if the representative is in another country or state you made that call.. they had lists of the calls that were made and the business office showed us a stack of envelopes that was close to a cord of wood of how many people that are doing just that.
        if you have the resources to fight this it doesn’t happen..for those at the bottom its a daily occurrence.
        the most disturbing part is.. this is now considered normal and even though its wrong its an threat considered a common occurrence among the poor and elderly..
        in other countries during Times of war the USA hands out booklets to any and everyone on how to protect themselves.. similar to this one.. using kitchen materials.

        I believe since these kind of attacks and threats are becoming more common as society implodes that there’s a possibility that chaos will erupt especially in the cities. I asked while we were on vacation.. why no one smiles my host said its a big city thing.. if they smile or look someone in the eye it could be mistakenly be translated as something else..
        there’s some interesting times ahead.. and nothing any of us can do about any of it.

      • I am not a gun guy..I hunt at the local grocery srore.. the only sharp thing I have is my grandpas order of the templar Knights sword well I actually have two of them..we keep them hidden away so kids won’t see it as a plaything and some child getting hurt..
        I’m a hallmark channel guy and I love Lucy type guy.. prime time television that teaches and desencetizes children by promoting violence are not watched game shows that promote the winners that can demonstrate the sociopathic tendency is the one that excellent in society are not watched either.
        on shows like naked and afraid where the one that can adapt and overcome I like.. even that is changing to a platform that the one that can be similar to the other game shows work on..where I won’t watch those..if it was a platform where the skilled survivalist taught someone unskilled..then it would be a hit..
        A story I was told as a young man.. my great great great grandpa was considered an American hero.. there’s stuff in the history books that paint his exploration as a great achievement and brew ha ha.. what is missing is the other side..what they did was amazing but at what cost.
        My mom would tell me how important he was to history..we got there and o the o!d homestead and everyone was sitting on the porch visiting.. I brought him up..the older realities quickly changed the subject and said they didn’t discuss him..this shocked me..why didn’t they like him.. So my great great uncle was showing me around the next day he showed me the remains of the shelter Sacagawea lived in and I asked..why didn’t everyone see how important he was.. he said ..well he wasn’t very nice.. then told me a story that won’t ever be seen in any book.. whether or not its true is long gone no historical importance.. the family.. here’s what he told me.. when Lewis inquired about whether or not he was interested in joining him on an important exploration.. he didn’t know how to tell anyone that he was going to head out and leave.. so he made a berry basket for everyone said how much he wanted berry pie.. while the family was all out searching for yummy berries..he packed his kit and left.. they got home and he was gone.. the provisions weren’t enough for them to survive.. his brother George rogers was shocked and upset over his brothers lack of ethics was voicing his opinion to his friend Daniel Boone at what a sh#tty thing his brother did. they decided that they should go teach is family how to get provisions and get them provisions so they could survive.. they simply thought he left them to die.. Daniel Boone was the family hero to them.. the one that’s seen as a important to the country as what I hear very often a nickname as that( Sh@t Ass )
        when they were burning stuff I better for something I got one of this berry baskets he had made.. I use to keep toys in it and then magazines..I just cleaned out the shed and was going to toss it..my daughter wanted it..A couple hundred years old.. made for the Grande escape story..what they did is profound and important. sacrifices and hardships on both sides the family stories long forgotten..what’s not heard is..the rest of the story.. I think that’s what I like about archeology.. we only know the things society sees as important and what our leaders and politicians want us to see..the other is untouched.. at the reservation they have a wall of similar stories passed down by the families of tribal members of old.. Indian history is vacant by our schools and what really happened.

      • I wonder…what the good news is and what the bad news is.. if the drama that has surrounded me or the un-ending fight with insurance etc.. I wouldn’t ever have met or seen so much..made the friends I have.. I just returned from the very first vacation I have ever had.. in an area where it truly felt like I had entered the twilight zone..surrounded by people that its obvious have never seen the real world that those at the lower end of society experience daily..
        I truly understand now how what the lower end of society deal with daily seems bizarre and unrealistic..
        we went to a grocery store the checkout girl had the expression that in my world I would be asking.. hey wanna vent ..or are you ok..the one I was with was oblivious to seeing it..I actually asked as we drove around in a vehicle that I couldn’t afford the gas for..did you see anything crazy in there..he walked right by …to him..it didn’t exist.. hob-nobbed with a group that each of them have gained great wealth..
        I got to visit and learn to.. A master chef showed me a few things.. it was a good visit..
        while what my life’s journey has been one that seems bizarre and unbelievable at why..
        I’ve seen the other side even contemplating how to find a crack in that world where I could enter. so many times I have wondered why the strange deal seems to head in my direction.. but after this journey I made.. maybe the why was because so many are oblivious to its very existence.

  10. If ever we are to become a ‘spacefaring’ civilization, with something like a spoked wheel space station (2001 movie) it will take MUCH more power available ‘on orbit’. Thorium reactors are the answer to that. A failed launch of a thorium reactor degenerates to salts that are not terribly toxic or harmful to the environment, unlike uranium or plutonium. The only reason US and global nuclear power plants were designed for uranium was to acquire the plutonium waste to build nuclear weapons. We have enough of those already. Time for a change in the power plants. And China is leading the way.

    Having used tools made by Indian toolmakers and tools made by Pakistani toolmakers, I’d have to say neither knows what steel is, or how to make it. I’m not sure either is capable of initiating a “blow of steel.”

    Perhaps a “blow of potmetal…?”

    • India would not be my first choice for tool steel, but a lot of US manufacturers use 300-series stainless and carbon steel from India. With proper QC surveillance, mild steel from India is as good as anybody’s. The number of US manufacturers who would be SOL without Indian steel might surprise you.

      • It took Japan 20 years to figure out how to make high-quality steel. It took Taiwan about seven years, after Asian production shifted there. India and Pakistan have both been cranking out junk steel for a century. Is that every grade from every foundry? Of course not. I’ve seen fine steel from every country that’s ever cranked out a bladed weapon. Everybody has artisans who know how to make highly-refined steel and do wonderful things with it. It’s just a number of countries choose not to. China, and these two, are three of ’em…

    THIS is where AI fails miserably. AI works on given or known information, along parameters that are delineated by the person using the AI tool. Without George Soros’ backing and encouragement, would the riots and building takeovers at universities be happening? He has dealt himself in on the side of Hamas and radical Islam. It is reasonable to assume he will also deal himself in on the side of the Pakistanis, acting as a huge force-multiplier for the Paks who go nutso at your local 7-11.

  14. A couple decades ago I was on Samsung’s website where they stated their end goal is for their phones to hold the human consciousness. That slightly spooked me so I bought one for everyone at home and at the business.

    Somewhere in all of this, if one is to believe The Book of Revelation, there comes a time when a human makes a decision there is no coming back from (eternally?). Maybe Musk’s people tinker too much with attaching wires/wifi to the brain and people choose to place their consciousness in their phone prior to being assimilated?
