NGC is a “New Global Conflict.” And it’s a long-simmering mess along the LoC – Line of Control – separating the two quite different countries.
Oh, and both have nuclear weapons.
Background and Foreplay
India has shut off water supplies to a part of Pakistan. IntelliNews – India and Pakistan face-off following killing of 26 tourists as water politics comes into play. And not to be outdone, and rather predictably, low-level conflict is rising: India-Pakistan LOC News Today: Indian Army retaliates after firing by Pakistan along LoC in J&K, days after Pahalgam terror attack.
Now, can India really turn off the water? In a word, yes. Pahalgam attack: Will India suspending Indus Waters Treaty affect Pakistan? You may want to go back and watch a few 1950’s American West “cowboy films” about water rights (and sheep herders).
Of course, none of this should come as a surprise. My firmed G.A. Stewart has prominently covered what’s coming in his study of Nostradamus prophecies. Keep an eye on his site here – but it may take a bit of time since he’s up to his butt in work. In the meantime, reader JC has been tracking his work closely so his summary is worth a look here.
Money and Rads
Because of our “cash-colored glasses” we think it’s important to notice that markets were somewhat blind-sided by developments: Sensex, Nifty Today, Stock Market Down Today key reasons: Sensex crashes over 1,100 points; Nifty drops below 24,000-level.
Why? Well, let’s consider possible impacts from a ugly south Asian war:
Yes, an India-Pakistan conflict could escalate to nuclear war due to their mutual possession of nuclear arsenals and heightened tensions during a crisis. They don’t “play nice,”
Both nations have approximately 160-170 warheads each, with delivery systems capable of striking major cities. As I have mentioned in many past articles on the region, the US-Russia Cold War was blessed with “long delivery times” which left time for thoughtful consideration of consequences.
You see, it all comes down to some ugly facts of geography, proximity and missile capabilities. India and Pakistan share a 3,300-km (2,100-miles) border, with major cities like Lahore and Amritsar just 50 km (31-miles) apart. Ballistic missiles, like Pakistan’s Shaheen-II or India’s Agni-V, can reach targets in 5-10 minutes, leaving leaders with minimal time to assess threats, verify attacks, or coordinate responses. This compressed timeline heightens the risk of miscalculation or preemptive strikes, as decision-makers operate under intense pressure with incomplete information.
Ifg you’re old enough, you may remember the famous “rising moon” incident in the Cold War: that was a 1960 NORAD false alarm during the U.S.-Russia Cold War, when a radar system in Thule, Greenland, mistook a moonrise over Norway for a massive Soviet missile launch. On October 5, 1960, the radar detected what appeared to be dozens of incoming missiles, triggering a high alert at NORAD. The U.S. briefly prepared for a potential nuclear response, but the alert was quickly debunked when technicians realized the radar echoes were from the moon, not missiles.
Because of the damn geography, we don’t see that kind of breathing room in this conflict. Then it gets worse.
Doctrinal ambiguities—Pakistan’s potential first-use policy versus India’s no-first-use stance—could lead to miscalculation, especially under the fog of war (or rising tensions and telling people to return to their homelands) or if conventional losses threaten regime survival. A limited nuclear strike could rapidly spiral, as escalation control is uncertain given the lack of robust crisis communication and the intense rivalry fueling distrust.
No doubt that global powers like the U.S. and China could push for de-escalation, though their competing interests- in the midst of a Trade War – might complicate mediation. But then it gets worse.
Takeaway: Monitor for “Kindling Effects”
One war can lead to another. Attentions change, priorities shift, supplies rise and fall…
An India-Pakistan nuclear exchange could indirectly trigger escalations in Iran or Ukraine, potentially spiraling into a global war, though the pathway is complex and not guaranteed. The massive regional destabilization—millions dead, refugee crises, and economic shockwaves—could inflame tensions in the Middle East, where Iran, already at odds with Israel and the U.S., might exploit the chaos to advance its nuclear ambitions or regional influence, prompting preemptive strikes. Our early odds line figures under a headline grabber (of even a limited nuclear exchange) that Israel would move on Iran and from there? Well, again: It gets worse.
In Ukraine, Russia could seize the opportunity of global distraction to escalate its aggression, testing NATO’s resolve and risking direct confrontation. With the global powers – U.S., China, and Russia – drawn into these theaters due to strategic interests, miscalculations or alliance obligations could cascade, but the likelihood hinges on the extent of the India-Pakistan fallout and pre-existing regional flashpoints.
Ah, and that circles us back to our recent reminder that one of the upcoming keys to Urban Survival could easily be a couple of rechargeable Geiger counters.
Around the Ranch: The Earthbloom Problem
As you may guess, I have been doing a lot lately with my brain amplifiers. Between working on projects like the bloodborne oddities of South Florida – and coming up with a new specialty area of dentistry (microsurfacing for longer filling usability) I have also been AI modeling the world’s general future.
The overnight-into-this-morning’s data runs with the AI stack revealed a terrible Truth. The World (as we know it) has only about a 15 percent chance of surviving to 2050. Now, let’s think that through. Because with India-Pakistan on the verge of “lighting up” we all – humans – need to think about the urgent need to “get our shit together.”
The problem was first clearly articulated in 1976. Gerard K. O’Neill, a physicist whose 1976 book The High Frontier: Human Colonies in Space (updated in the 1980s) discusses the urgent need for space colonization to address Earth’s resource limits.
“In The High Frontier (1976, updated 1980s), Gerard K. O’Neill presents a visionary yet pragmatic case for human colonization of space to address Earth’s looming resource constraints and population pressures. He argues that Earth’s finite materials and energy cannot sustain an expanding technological civilization indefinitely, proposing massive, self-sustaining space habitats—rotating cylindrical colonies at Lagrange points, built with lunar and asteroid resources—as the solution.
These “O’Neill cylinders,” powered by abundant solar energy and offering artificial gravity, could house millions, freeing humanity from terrestrial limits. O’Neill emphasizes urgency, suggesting that the technological and economic window to establish such colonies is narrow, as Earth’s resources could deplete to the point of making large-scale space ventures infeasible.
His calculations, rooted in 1970s engineering, show that space colonization is achievable with existing technology, offering a path to avert crises like energy shortages and environmental degradation, which resonate with the Peoplenomics “2045 Gauntlet” of risks (nuclear proliferation, climate, soil depletion) in your Earthbloom model.
O’Neill’s optimism is tempered by a call to action, warning that humanity must act swiftly to avoid being trapped on a resource-starved Earth—a concern echoed in your 15 percent survival odds by 2050. The book details practical steps, such as mining lunar regolith for construction and deploying solar power satellites to supply Earth’s energy needs, while addressing economic and political hurdles.
O’Neill envisions space colonies as interdisciplinary hubs, fostering innovation and reducing territorial conflicts by expanding humanity’s frontier, a potential counter to your 2045 Gauntlet’s racial division and nuclear risks. Critics noted challenges, like the untested scale of megastructures and social dynamics, but the book’s influence endures, inspiring space advocacy and aligning with your Earthbloom urgency to “get our shit together” before 2045. By synthesizing O’Neill’s vision with your AI-driven modeling, The High Frontier underscores the need for bold, systematic solutions to ensure humanity’s survival against compounding global threats.
As of today in our modeling activities overnight, the O’Neill lookahead turns out to have a time limit to it.
About 2045.
In fact, from the runs the odds of human survival run like this – and remember, this is as of today’s news flows,,,
-
-
- 2025: 90% (quarterly: 97%)
- 2030: 80% (quarterly: 95%)
- 2035: 65% (quarterly: 90%)
- 2040: 50% (quarterly: 85%)
- 2045: 30% (quarterly: 75%)
- 2050: 15% (quarterly: 60%)
-
It dawned on me that we can synthesize O’Neill and a huge number of composite (politically unpalatable to address) issues into what we (the AI and me) have labeled “the Gauntlet.”
No, the Earthbloom problem is not about an asteroid impact: NASA tracks ~34,000 NEOs as of April 2025, with ~2,500 classified as potentially hazardous (PHA) due to size (>140 meters) and proximity (<7.5 million km). No PHAs have confirmed impact risks through 2050, though new discoveries occur regularly (e.g., 2024 YR4).
What will much more likely “get us?” Near-certainties. Like compound interest.
Because by 2045-205o that’s when everything hits the wall: nuclear proliferation, climate, soil depletion, racial division, envy violence, effects of compound interest blowing up finance, the real indisputable Peak Energy…all kinds of things. Drinkable water…
So the next several weeks on our Peoplenomics.com side ($40.year since 2000) will be devoted to this “Earthbloom” problem.
Need to good news? Right now there is about a 97 percent chance of the world surviving intact to September 1st. But the quarterly estimates compound. And over time – as we all know – compounding kills. Kills, air, soil, markets…everything. But it’s like high blood pressure…easy to ignore. Fatal in the end, but millions ignore it, anyway. Same thing with planetary-level issues. Earthbloom or Earthdoom promises to be interesting.
Be thinking about it: Earthbloom. Because as we will go into more detail next week, we don’t need to go doom-scrolling any more. Just looking at the data works fine. It’s a preconscious thing…for now.
Oh – and if you need more for the brain? There’s a new Paper on my collaborative AI website: Crafting Cognitive Symbiosis: A Comprehensive Recipe for Human-AI Collaborative Problem-Solving – Hidden Guild. Where we take some of the systematic thinking from a book I wrote in 2017 and apply it to “Where next?” Point is? AI may help generate the workable avoidance plans for the pending potential life-enders.. Enough for now…

Hold the phone, buddy:
The quote attributed to Sir Alexander King, “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill,” comes from the 1991 book The First Global Revolution, co-authored by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider, published by the Club of Rome. The quote appears in the context of discussing global challenges that could serve as a unifying focus for humanity, but it has often been misinterpreted or taken out of context to suggest a deliberate fabrication of environmental issues. The book does not state that these issues were invented, but rather that they were identified as pressing global problems requiring collective action. The full context clarifies that the “enemy” is not a fabricated issue but a set of real challenges caused by human activity, with the text emphasizing the need for changed attitudes and behaviors to address them.
There is no evidence that Alexander King made this statement in 1999, as he passed away in 2007, and the quote is specifically tied to the 1991 publication. Claims associating this quote with a 1999 event or interview appear to be inaccurate or misattributed. Additionally, the phrase “let the cat outta da bag” implies revealing a hidden agenda, which misrepresents the context of the original statement, as the book openly discusses these issues as genuine concerns, not as contrived threats.
Thart said, Report from Iron Mountain – dismissed in the Mainstream as a humor hit piece not fact – does meet the test of Truth over Time as does this. Which is why I said “hold the phone” – not bullshit.

China is indeed leading the charge in renewable energy and green initiatives. It has installed more wind and solar power capacity than the rest of the world combined. they are way ahead of the rest of the world. they were the worst at polluting for decades due to their increase in industrialization ..now that they have made the commitment to expansion of green technologies.. and the securing of their grid by placing backup power plants .. embracing the past technologies and implementation of future .. puts their grid and water conservation advancements ahead of everyone else. they have a lot to overcome..but they are doing it..in the USA and most European countries we sold our souls for a number..

For almost 3 decades, wargammers and pundits cogitated over a regional India-Pakistan nuclear war. This site gives one of many viewpoints which emerged from a comprehensive Naval War College game conducted during that timeframe, involving “warrior, diplomat, missionary and investor” adding an air of legitimacy to the scenario, in which they “expressed fears that it [the war game outcome] was a plausible and worrisome possibility:”
https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA530651.pdf
The fear, held since the fall of the USSR and the end of the Cold War, is that long-simmering and wide spread regional discord could result in kinetic if not nuclear war, particularly considering the lack of viable arms control treaties and viable enforcement of said treaties. Even a limited exchange of nukes would result in a massive clean-up effort and clouds of radioactive dust blowing across the globe. So Ure radioactive cloud propagation prognosis is spot on! The only way to minimize the risk of a fallout cloud is to deploy earth penetrating warheads with lower yields, which result in contained subsurface blasts, the fallout from which is partially contained by the overhead earth at the blast site. This method could be used to destroy wide areas of cities, airports, naval facilities, factories and critical infrastructure such as hydro-electric dams and nuke power plants. Ugly stuff, no matter how you slice it.

That the day will see a conflict near the Ganges (River, India).
“The Great Duke of Armenia” is a very important reoccurring character in Nostradamus’ World War III theme. His first notable public appearance might involve some conflict between India, Pakistan, or China along the Ganges River.
Armenia and India share mutual defense interests. Recently, India and Armenia signed three cultural cooperation agreements. Therefore, “The Great Duke of Armenia” will most likely be in “conflict near the Ganges (River, India)” against Pakistan, The Elephant.

Fleet sprinkled, blood and bodies will swim.
What does this mean?
It means exactly what George wrote above; once a war between India and Pakistan erupts, so will war in those countries listed by Nostradamus.
The Mules are the Democratic NeoCons. The obvious symbol of the Democratic Party, which started the war in Ukraine in 2014.
Trump is going to be stupid enough to attack Iran. It will unleash China and Russia. Russia is an ally of the man who controls Libya, and Russia will have access to their ports.
This will expose the soft underbelly of Europe.
The fleet sprinkled is a U.S. Navy military disaster that will end Donald J. Trump’s presidency.
BTW, the post that JC, linked I removed the password.
There will be more in a post that I am trying to finish, but as George stated, work has me tired out by the time I get home.
There is also less incentive for me now because readership has fallen off at y site. Many people are buying into Trump hopium, and that just ain’t going to happen.
Remember, if Trump starts dropping bombs on Iran in the middle of a trade war, this country is screwed.
I have been telling myself to buy the things that I need right now and to stop writing posts and making movies. I should be getting my garden going and working on my own plans for Doom and not writing about it, because it is right around the corner.
I bow to Ure wisdom, Stu. Having lived, planned and commanded nuclear war planning and command and control units, I am sensitive to the intricacies of such things. I too am focused on “the things that I need right now.” I believe we, the human race, are about to get serious. Those from the past have presciently seen what we are capable of doing. Unfortunately, they appear to have been right!
Had a sizeable amount of work come into the shop today. I was getting concerned. The employer did reasonably well under Biden, and things are starting to look more promising with Trump. But you are right; best to get affairs in order for a long dry spell in a harsh operating environment.
The Elliott waveform I see forming when I look at the indexes doesn’t look particularly promising. Waiting for a trigger I would think. I don’t think paper PM’s are very attractive either.
Having storage food squirreled away sounds like good insurance. Self-sufficient food production is brutally hard work, even with the right equipment.

Pakistan and India have been looking for an all-out brawl for decades., and neither side is very good at remaining calm. One up-man-ship is their way of life along the border region.
This just could be the trigger they have been hoping for. They really do not like each other.
“Over the last fifty years the nations of India and Pakistan have clashed on both political and military fronts because of the current occupation of both nations within the states of Jammu and Kashmir. The conflict stems from both the economical welfare of the nations and from the religious differences of the people within the Indian sub-continent. The long-term religious conflicts between the Hindus and Muslim people of the region have forced the countries into countless skirmishes and three brutal wars.”

‘Unconscious Mind: Much of what the brain does is unconscious, and we are unaware of what drives our decisions. This aligns with the idea that the mind when left unchecked, can lead us astray. Apple is moving it’s supply lines out of China to India just in time!!
If Apple is lucky all that manufacturing equipment that they are moving (or rather Foxcom is moving) is now out of the Chinese factories and has already been landed at the port in India. They seemed to be in a hurry to move that equipment so I am sure they expedited it’s transit out of China and are doing the same with getting it to where they are establishing their NEW India factories.
Timing is everything … of so they tell me.
Just in time to be a target?
Apple actually has a foundry in the U.S. Foxconn manufactures cabinets and power supplies. With that said, after Gateway, Compaq, and IBM (in their original forms) went tango uniform (~25 years ago), I can think of no one (except possibly Supermicro) who makes computer cases in the U.S. Foxconn’s main business though is contract buildout and assembly of electronic devices. for instance, they build most cellphones and gaming consoles, irrespective of manufacturer. Taiwan Semiconductor makes chips — Foxconn assembles those chips into something functional…
Oh, and BTW, Supermicro just released a turnkey gAI computer workstation for the masses. It starts at about a steak dinner over two large, in case anyone asks…
I think were I he, I’d be booking passage to Kenya (or at least reserving a space), ASAP. Kollam is big enough to be a target. It’s bucolic, and more of a tourist trap than an urban mecca, but it also has a population of 1.1 million, of which 250k are Muslim.
Remember, Pakistan was “peeled off” “Greater India” as part of India’s independence, because even under British rule, they couldn’t keep the Muslims from killing off the Indians — not just Hindus, but Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, and the 180 or so “splinter religions” and sects that are common in India. They flat-out don’t like non-Muslim Indians and the Indians reciprocate — IMO more out of a self-preservational fear than actual hatred, but they reciprocate nonetheless…

“Profound astonishment…”
This is a line from Star Trek: “The Immunity Syndrome.”
The Starship Intrepid is manned wholly by Vulcans. It, and its crew were destroyed in a novel manner:
“I know the ship was defeated because I sensed its death.”
“What was it exactly you felt, Mr. Spock?”
“Astonishment. Profound astonishment.”
I remember the episode, and that particular phrase, because that is the exact phrase (Clinton’s CIA Director) George Tenet uttered after India’s nuke detonation — three days after Pakistan’s detonation, in May of 1998. Neither the CIA, nor the Clinton White House had any idea either Pakistan or India were “in the club” until Pak’s first aboveground test. We registered their underground tests but they were picked up by the USGS as local earthquakes. Our spooks had no clue.
Even today, we don’t get reliable intel from that part of the world on a steady basis. Muslims have no problem with martyring themselves. India supplies a bunch of mechanical and electronics engineering and tech to the West. Because of Muslims’ lack of appreciation of human life, there’s two billion people, and our only current alternative to China being the sole supplier of ~97% of all our generic drugs, living on a knife-edge. This concerns me a lot more than a mild elevation in atmospheric radiation…
“Federal judge has blocked President Trump’s efforts to require proof of citizenship to register to vote The objective is clear: nullify the election results and stall Trump until 2028. This is the REAL constitutional crisis.”
I’m guessing the eventual resolution will be that proof of citizenship will be required in Presidential elections, because “President” is the only office in the Land for which EVERY voter, irrespective their County, State, or Territory, votes. I also suspect it will only be required in “lesser” elections if a State passes a law which requires it (I believe about 28-29 States are doing so, so far, but I don’t care enough to look it up.) I already HAVE my RealID so I can pass a TSA checkpoint without issue.
“Hmm…running a bit long so how about we wrap with Passed the House: Gingrich on legislation that stops district judges. Trump wins. Dems wil block it, for sure…”
Of course they will… Except when a few Dem Senators are on a “Garcia junket to El Salvador and a couple are on vacation, suddenly it may only take 54-55 Senators to vote cloture.
Personally, I favor the “cloture buster:” Simply allow no votes on anything else until the judge bill comes up for a vote. There will be a spending bill, budget, or an emergency relief bill like from an earthquake or hurricane, come up and necessitate an immediate vote. Simply don’t vote on it until the judge bill is voted upon.
