The reports that the navy knew – sort of – that the submersible Titan had suffered an implosion near the scene of the Titanic came as little surprise.
But, as these things will, it tweaks our thinking onto new pathways. You see, words have power.
A simple new word in our thinking processes can change our future. Reporters are particularly susceptible. After running around with the same question repeating for 50-years plus, you question everything. “What am I really looking at here?
Earth: Economic Debris Field
There’s a common thread between debris fields and minefields. The major difference is simply timing. In the Debris Field view, the “bad news has happened” and we become introspective: “What went wrong? How could it be prevented?”
Minefields are different: You look at an assembled pile of facts and wonder “Which one of these will “light things up into full blown conflagration?”
While the Titanic “Second Sinking” is a media circus, the concept injected into the GMC (global mass consciousness) is a useful perspective. Like a firefighter’s cup of coffee back at the station – after a working fire – a kind of
“There, but for the grace of God, go we…”
Debris Field Check
The “crash site” of the United States is only evident when you push back far enough to see it. Buddy who’s an expat in Ecuador sees it clearly. Like looking at the Milky Way, the further back you stand, the clearer things become.
He sent along a clip from this article: The U.S. Transitions from Superpower to Migrant Colony.
“While Joe Biden and his team of anti-border radicals have been busy turning our country into a make-a-wish charity for the rest of the world’s population, it seems little, if any, thought was given to where all these newcomers would reside. Most of our larger cities, which illegal aliens tend to live in or near, appear beyond capacity due to the White House-engineered border stampede.”
There’s more – and none of it’s pretty. The U.S. has, over the short course of my life, gone from an 85 percent White to arriving at Minority White without so much as a single overt vote on the matter. If you look, though, you’ll see stories like Hispanics are now the largest demographic group in Texas, census data confirms.
China’s going through something similar: Muslim populations and the changing roles of the Han Chinese.
Wandering the debris field, people aren’t sure what to make of it. Some simply want money (reparations or bennies in some form) while others want to wrap everything up in softer issues. The story how a Trendy French island limits visitors to fight ‘overtourism’ (france24.com) last week, frankly, set us back.
The core problem is the deliberately stoked differences between people instead of holding to absolute Equality. Hijacking the language means the laws will follow. Differences are a moneymaking scheme.
Environmental Debris
40-years ago, the word “environment” seldom appeared in “news.” We had real work to do: Electronics were going solid-state; most homes didn’t have a microwave or three big screens. Computers were in a Cupertino garage. As the word has come into focus, we see how the environmental debris field is one of our own making: Environment groups ask Biden to crack down on methane emissions from landfills.
Yet, with victimology in play, everyone wants a carve-out. “Yes, it’s a problem but…” Florida’s golf courses aren’t that bad for the environment.
Then the “environment” meets the politics. WWF Russia cuts ties with global environment group, now labelled ‘undesirable’ by Moscow.
Seems everyone is some kind of Special these days.
But it’s by design. Equity is NOT EQUALITY. Equity is the new discrimination, social is the environment and migrations front, and gender is the beginning of the die-back of population.
At least, so it seems with “Debris Field Glasses” on.
Humans have already failed in massive ways. Doing research for (another) book I’m writing (#12 or #13 I think): Turns out when you make a list, comparing the major religion’s rules, that most of the religions of the world have very similar core values. Where things go to crap is when the human implementations come around. Whew!
Many religions, though, as a marketing dominance tool, simply encouraged more sex and less birth control. Growth strategy, right? Maybe it even made sense, too. After the Black Plague in the Middle Ages? Maybe. But with 8-billion?
You can almost make out an unwitting bifurcation among people: The sex marketers on the one hand and the anti-offspring reaction as monosexual unions. Weird to think about, but again, like the Milky Way, you have to step back a bit.
Meanwhile, in the Minefield
Total War has not yet arrived. But news control is certainly on the way. Take, if you will, Meta says it will block news from Facebook, Instagram in Canada. We long ago saw this one coming and that’s why we generally have very small quotes, the useful part of “news releases” and – like that quote above, part of a larger discussion of contexts. RSS headline links.
Control of news (White Shaming, group thinking, City focusing) is important because ever since Dresden, the world has changed the rules of war to provide for holding of mass civilian populations as “hostages.” There’s a reason why the Rich (*ucks) are trying to keep people from “going rural.” The bottom 90 percent of humans are being readied to be served as “sacrificial pawns.” Just too dumb (and wrapped up in Cause Economics) to notice.
Which mines threaten us with destruction now?
- Taiwan could literally go any holiday weekend. Weather is moderate in the Strait and Blinken blinked so a Xi-storm is coming. But not without saber-rattling: Germany Warns China Over Taiwan, Voices Human Rights Concerns Days After Talks With Chinese Premier.
- All made a little hard when the derelict-in-chief is still pretending media is not universal. He’s presenting one thing IN China and the 180-degree polar opposite to domestic media: Dismissing tensions, US Pres. Joe Biden expects to see China’s Xi despite ‘dictators’ jab. Seriously? But this is how “they” rule – divide and segment the messages.
- Ukraine’s a mess: Could blow any second. Both sides are AT THE NUCLEAR TRIP WIRE: Russia Ambassador Warns U.S. Resolution Pushes for Nuclear War Over Ukraine.
The minefield is hard to assess: We get all roped into war to protect Ukraine’s borders while leaving our own wide open. All while the Stupid Administration mixed-messages to us as China eyeing military training facility in Cuba: report. They don’t know if they’re coming or going, I swear.
So that’s where we are: Debris field or minefield. Just depends on your clarity of thought and temporal orientation. Too many people, not enough agar and the walls of Petri Dish Earth are beginning to crystalize.
So much so that no one’s even “taking it to the streets” over ‘Cultured’ chicken grown in labs approved by USDA… Scientists are still working out what this will really mean. Trust you have already consumed the 2020 paper Gender Dysphoria: A Review Investigating the Relationship Between Genetic Influences and Brain Development – PMC (nih.gov)? Ask, maybe, if GMO figures into one or both? Excuse our asking hard questions.
The Band Plays On
SSDD (same shit, different day), I suppose: Let everyone focus on money and having more paper (and hashes) than the next guy. Bitcoin is over $30,000 on continuous hype.
Such as Bitcoin ‘parabolic advance’ means BTC price all-time high in 2023 — Trader (cointelegraph.com). Bet that’s going to make the people who bought at the $68,000 top in 2021 happy!
If not BTC, it would be some other made-up “secret number” scam. Japan’s largest bank MUFG to issue stablecoins tied to foreign currencies is nearly as interesting as Litecoin (LTC) Achieves Milestone in Payment Transactions as Halving Event Approaches.
If you need a “stock chart fix” look at the chart in Thursday’s column (about CFNAI and DC mud wrestling). We rallied and are set to give most – if not all of it – back today. Meh.
ATR: Profile Management
“Dad, you got a razor scraper?”
“Short or long handled? Second drawer down in the black roll-around tool chest in the shop. That’s the sharps drawer. Glass cutters, razors, scrapers, small saw blades…if it’s sharp…it’s in there.”
Suddenly, curiosity showed up. “What are you doing?”
“Taking all the stickers off the Lexus and the pickup.”
“OK, WHY?”
“I was going to drop by the Courthouse for a minute. Since you can’t carry a gun in the Courthouse unless you’re sworn law enforcement, having a Gunfighters Inc. pm your truck sticker screams “break into this truck and get my gun.”
Shit. Hate it when the kids have clearer thoughts than the Old Man.
“You can literally see some people’s back window and read their Life Stories. If they have one of those ‘honor student” stickers, says they have kids. A meth head will draw all kinds of conclusions about a home’s contents just driving around a neighborhood…
Think of it this way: Your Aircraft Owners and Pilots sticker says you’re not broke – and the Skip Barber Racing sticker says you can drive fast. The Gunfighter’s Inc. sticker says what? No offense to Adam at GFI. Do you really want to advertise any of that?”
“Ham radio callsigns OK?”
“Nope. Gotta go. Too easy to look up your callsign and pin it to an address. Besides, you want to really BLEND in. If you ever wanted to get away from a road rage, for example, you want nothing remarkable about your vehicle. Plain, no memory hooks.”
That DID get one item off my To Do list: I had been thinking about a ham radio callsign license plate.
“I have an Extra Class ticket, too. Think I want people able to look me up? Maybe long ago…but the World has changed dad. Parked me ego…”
Sadly, he was right. We are in transition from an Accomplishment’s Matter World to becoming a “Low profile and stay clear of crowds world.”
Not 5-minutes later I get an email from him.

“Morally, this is a terrible choice as we will use God’s weapon, thus dooming ourselves to grave spiritual losses. But if we do not do this, not only Russia can die, but most likely the entire human civilization will cease to exist.”
Serious warning from the Russian side.
Hey BotB (bear on the boat): what up? Summer season ATL gets social (real, not virtual) and so though I have popped in to read no time to write. Today? I attended to office bus. 3:4 days of this short week so issued myself a four day pass. Lounging? Nyet. Had a boat load of company last weekend as test run for the 4th Holiday when … due to #1 son (only actually) we will be invaded by many.
Mrs. Egor has now officially turned in her walking papers from every prior employer so thrives on reality social events. She barely put away food and fun from last weekend before advance cooking for the next. Tonight we dine out at a local drinkery with light battered all you can eat fish. Saturday is a Soiree (swah-ray) at the YC. Monday we host a rotating 4-couple dinner and cards pahtay. Then, Friday next, guests start to arrive.
Catch-up (as opposed ketchup):
Read the tome on financial participation side (members) re: solar. Our power Co. is a Coop, has always charged more to buy power than sell back (grid tied). I still aim to add solar due to perfekt siting but … repair chimney (spalling), paint upper story, re-roof. It’s so hard to arrange and engage contractors this may be a 2024 project. Haunting punch-line: like you I penciled out up front cost and … it pays for at least 10 years of electricity.
3M adhesive remover. I always have a can on hand, works a treat to remove sail numbers if you don’t buy new. I finally caved and bought a new sail (2) years ago so am giving hand-me-downs, perfectly good, to those in need. They come with a requirement my numbers come off. Pull #s / 3M glue stripes / apply new #s / sprinkle baby powder (residue).
I’d say more, possibly opine on Ms. Mkt. but … my 18 YO tomcat is giving me “the look” while standing at front door. Hunting time.

I hope you’re not referring to me — I have never hit more than two Powerball numbers. I just read a little and think a lot…

Excellent article, worth preserving!
Sadly, there were two viable peace initiatives, by Turkey and Israel, and both were apparently quashed by the USA. We have two senators(I forget which) that are trying to get NATO involved if Russia retaliates against the attacks on Crimea. The whole thing is a shitstorm and I see no indication of anyone except Russia having any interest in peace, or even a truce.
Lady Lindsey and da nang dick.
Over coffee this morning the Boss/Wife asked why I don’t put our brand on the truck like on Yellowstone. I noticed her up later last night so I think I know what she was looking at. I don’t think that’s necessary, do you? Since everybody who counts knows who and what I/We do and that is the best advertising you could have. How about you put the bank logo on the side of your car? Uh Oh…..Her Harley Quin stare and “It was just a question, sheesh.” Pointing her butter knife at me she said, “You can be such a grouch sometimes.” You smell bad, where have you been? “I’m working on the goat pens and you shouldn’t stay up so late.” answer was not received any better. “smells more like you are rolling around in them.” Yikes, I may find myself going to the train station.
Still not putting any stickers or brands on my truck either.
Stay safe. 73
There are times when having magnetic signs that can be removed from a truck in a moment could be helpful. I’m thinking of the “lockdown” nonsense that was attempted back in 2020, where we almost got to the point of having to have “authorization” from your company to go driveabout. I drove 4000 miles that year on a long trip and was careful, but sometimes we just need to do what we must. That trip was important to me and would never have been authorized under martial law – which they were attempting to impose more by media than actual authority.
The Navy’s “SOSUS,” and later systems have been listening to the deep oceans for decades. During that time, much has been learned about acoustic signatures and detailed waveform analysis. They almost certainly knew immediately exactly what had happened to submersible “Titan.”
Even so, you don’t blow your horn and illuminate your capabilities prematurely. Keeping the Other Guy from knowing just how much you know is all part of the deadly earnest game. (Jerkwad, ignorant, bloviating, grandstanding, congressidiots to one side…)
The submersible was a joke on us.
All week we watched a blue screen rescue operation. “We hear banging.” “96 hours of air left…” “They’ve only got to Thursday 9:00AM EDT.”
“They’ve been dead all week, suckers.”
All information is suspect. Nothing is reliable. Trust no one.
I’ve always hated bumper stickers on my car. I really don’t care if others have them, but it does give me an idea of who I’m sharing the road with. I’ve bought cars and trucks and had to remove stickers and all kinds of dumb stuff from them. A heat gun or hair dryer helps – soften up the vinyl and use a plastic scraper to get most of it off. Then solvents can do their work with the leftover gum. I’ve had decent luck with gasoline. YMMV. Watch carefully if it’s stuck on to a painted surface.
The worst are HOV stickers like CA uses. Some Goo Gone (dang it Nelson, wasn’t it Goo B Gone in the other timeline?) with a hair dryer and plastic scraper AND patience will do the trick, indeed.
peanut oil..Best sticker glue remover ever..
“40-years ago, the word “environment” seldom appeared in “news.”” It was a different world.
Nobody cared 40 years ago. We have to use some rounding but during the 1970’s rivers in Ohio caught fire. Smog in CA was worse than today. 1985 the Ozone hole was confirmed. Things were happening. Evidence of disaster. Love Canal?
Olden day Americans had no concept of environment. in 1940’s Detroit atomic bomb vendors just buried toxic waste right next to the river.
From 2019:
“A Detroit property contaminated with uranium and other dangerous chemicals partially collapsed into the Detroit River on Nov. 26, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy has confirmed…..”
“….Revere Copper was subcontracted in the 1940s to build the world’s first atomic bomb and continued to make uranium rods in the 1950s.”

was it? or is there? Panic in DC?
This is an extra good column today, George. I could really write a tome here in discussion of some excellent points you’ve made. Also, G2 has some things figured out. I reached similar conclusions sometime ago, myself.
First off, humans have had great success at propagating the species, but continue to fail at herd management. Like I said a few days ago here, I think we have failure baked in our cake. Is that on purpose or is it just ‘one of those things’. Personally, I think the former. Like you said, most religions have the same basic core concepts and following those concepts in daily practice leads to a stable society and well managed herd. The fact that we have to be told the same damn thing over and over again speaks for itself. Is there an ‘other’? An outside corrupting force that subtly interferes with us to keep us from achieving our full potential? Undoubtedly, yes. There’s an unseen world that has some bad actors in it. I’m not guessing, either. I’ve run into it from time to time. With all these different parties running their own ops against us it’s hard to really know what our true nature really is.
Which brings me to Ukraine. From the beginning there were many true believers that thought Ukraine (read ‘NATO’) would handily defeat those dirty Russkies with their outdated equipment and conscript army. I disagreed with some of them from the beginning because I live in the real world and not the fairytale land that clown world/globohomo would have you believe in. Some people believe that you can have the entire leadership (both civilian and military) of the western world simultaneously believe that a man can become and woman and that they can also successfully prosecute a war with a real country. It should be apparent now that the opposite is true. Russia is defeating NATO as I knew it would from the beginning. Although, Stu at the Age of Desolation gave us the prophecy side, any human with critical thinking skills should have been able to pencil out the probabilities based on the behavior of clown world. There are lots of places to find sober analysis, but you have to look outside the domain of western three-ring circus. Try here: https://voxday.net/2023/06/23/not-meeting-expectations-on-any-front/
I’m 50/50 on the prospects of nuclear war in Europe, right now. I think globohomo is will to fight down to the last Ukrainian because that’s easy. At their hearts they are cowards and will fold before crossing that particular Rubicon. On the other side of that bet is the certainty that they are also insane. So, I have hedged my bets and I do own a good supply of iodine.
For Taiwan, my prediction is that China will reunify and the west will do nothing because they can’t. Russia has pulled down the emperors pants and shown the world that the he can longer get it up.
Speaking of debris fields, when did they know there was a catastrophic loss, how long did they wait to tell the public and why? No need to answer this one. I’ve got a good guess why.
Finally, George, your son is right about maintaining a low profile. They really are out to get you. We used to live in a world where it was ok to ‘advertise’ a little, but that world passed away and no one came to the funeral. I promise you that bad people are planning for war right here. They’re making lists, predictive behavior models and plans. When the day finally arrives they hope to be able to neutralize their enemies quickly…that’s you, me and yes you, dear reader. I’ve warned people here before to dump ALL of the socials. Scour your identity. Those services are not your friends. They use your ego to trap you. You and your info are their prize. You are the crop and your behavior patterns are the fruit you produce. Furthermore, all of those silicon valley weapons against humanity could easily be destroyed overnight if we were able to eliminate their power source. That power source is your fellow humans. If everyone deleted their accounts and never logged in again that stain on history would disappear like a fart in the wind. The power is ours. Think about it. Think about what you’re personally willing to sacrifice to non-violently defeat your enemies. Non-compliance is incredibly powerful…just ask The oh-so recent King of Beers.
Anyway, y’all have a good weekend.
“I’ve warned people here before to dump ALL of the socials. Scour your identity. Those services are not your friends. They use your ego to trap you. You and your info are their prize.”
Good advice, MAJ13.
I never fell into the social media trap, so I have nothing to dump. No Facebook etc. It used to drive my wife crazy.
Wow – truth be spoken above, nice work “Army” and thanks for sharing.

There are indeed some very strong arguments against kids & social..as evidenced by social company execs not allowing their own kids access.
Has me wondering exactly what my “Ass, Cash or Grass” bumper sticker says about me and my lil pickemupz. hmmmm
“Little by little you must create a fog around yourself; you must erase everything around you until nothing can be taken for granted, until nothing is any longer for sure, or real. Your problem now is that you’re too real. Your endeavors are too real; your moods are too real. Don’t take things so for granted. You must begin to erase yourself.”
…
“Begin with simple things, such as not revealing what you really do. Then you must leave everyone who knows you well. This way you’ll build up a fog around yourself.”
“But that’s absurd, ” I protested. “Why shouldn’t people know me? What’s wrong with that?” “What’s wrong is that once they know you, you are an affair taken for granted and from that moment on you won’t be able to break the tie of their thoughts. I personally like the ultimate freedom of being unknown. No one knows me with steadfast certainty, the way people know you, for instance.”

Great post! I generally agree. There’s a conundrum regarding security though. If you maintain your place, it looks decent and occupied. If it’s derelict, it looks abandoned. The former might get attention from smart thugs with or without uniforms. The latter might get attention from stupid thugs and methheads. I think it’s probably better to look well maintained with layers of security in depth, but there are always limits. I think some serious brainstorming on this one is in order, along with other means to lower your profile. You don’t want to be a stranger in your community, but you don’t really want to stand out too much either. That might be more difficult than expected in rural areas or small towns. The USA has never had a true genocide in living memory and is vulnerable to one, especially from those who are easily aroused emotionally. That’s presuming that we can hold off the invading hordes that think they have a right to our lives and treasure.
A friend used to keep a very large stainless steel dog’s water dish on the front porch with the name “LANCER” on it in large letters. He always kept it full and clean. He did not have a dog.
I struggle, seriously struggle, to not offend any of George’s readers who wear (or wore) brass or silver, or even a cloth stripe.
Sometimes it is a hard thing to do. If this does so, I apologize, in advance…
Mr. Obama removed virtually every general officer who was loyal to the Constitution. In doing so, he also removed nearly every CO who knew anything about conducting a war, or even a campaign, and nearly every CO who actually knew how to fight.
In less than 15 years, we have become, for the most part, militarily impotent, and as long as the academies and war colleges pass out diplomas printed on pink rainbow paper, we’ll continue to be. Mr. Trump rebuilt the mechanical capabilities of the ground-based and airborne Military. He did nothing WRT rebuilding the personnel capabilities of any branch — with advisors like Thoroughly Modern, he likely never realized there was a problem.
I believe the Navy handled it correctly. Yeah – we heard the implosion – but can we prove it ? And they waited until they could. Makes sense to me. I think we all knew that it was a goner. Very fast – but a hard way to die.
.
I jumped in the market yesterday just before the close., based on a couple of assumptions – on my part. [ Put Options.] The fact that the Treasury Spread is getting deeper has to start making the big-boys take-note and ‘worry’ just a wee bit.
.
Norge Bank – manages over a trillion dollars. One of it’s portfolio managers has revealed that he is using an A.I. enhanced system to manage his portfolio. He is trading less., trading better., and making more money than ever.
– My question: What happens when the vast majority of traders and managers., and the millions of “small Day Traders” start using A.I. trading platforms ? Will the A.I. driven software start to recognize that the majority of trades being made are by other A.I. ‘bots’ ? Then what happens when the markets are traded and controlled by A.I. driven ‘auto-bots’ ?
– I can ‘see’ a couple scenarios – and they take the human-factor out of market investing [ betting] and place it squarely into the hands [ control ] of an A.I. software package.
– Turn on your computer at five A.M. ., sign into your trade desk., give the A.I. program $5,000 to use this morning., and walk away. Would that actually work? With 20 million others doing the exact same thing?
The assumption being the Navy knew the sub imploded Sunday AM. If that’s true then there’s something else down there that is/was banging in 30 minute intervals.
“In an internal email sent to the Department of Homeland Security leadership and obtained by Rolling Stone on Tuesday, the DHS shared that crews heard banging sounds in 30-minute intervals while searching where the sub’s five passengers disappeared on Sunday morning. ”
“”RCC Halifax launched a P8, Poseidon, which has underwater detection capabilities from the air,” the DHS email read, per Rolling Stone. “The P8 deployed sonobuoys, which reported a contact in a position close to the distress position. The P8 heard banging sounds in the area every 30 minutes. Four hours later additional sonar was deployed, and banging was still heard.”

Featured decades ago in David Lynch film, ‘Eraserhead’.
“The Man-made Chickens are artificial sources of nutrition in the Eraserhead world. Dialogue from Mr. X implies that they are relatively new products. They are known for the infamous chicken dinner scene, wherein they begin squealing, squirming, and what appears to be menstruating or defecating”.

The change will be similar to the 1980’s food manufacturing change from sugar to high fructose corn syrups.

the odds are.. they won’t ever tell you exactly what they use in it.. which is why I buy my hot dogs from a meat packing house that does our cow.. I can watch him ..
I had a coworker that for years manufactured hot dogs.. and the stories he told of what went on on the floor I couldn’t eat a hot dog for way over a year.. I either made them myself.. or got them where I can watch them being made.. and the dogs I do buy that are from a large manufacturer.. I make sure that they are not produced and packaged on a friday or weekend..
You’ll invest in it, but would you eat it?
I would not.
If enough people invest in it to make it viable, eventually we’ll ALL eat it…
I remember eating Chicken Dinner Candy Bars in 1940’s. Introduced in 1923 by the Sperry Candy Company of Milwaukee, the oddly named bar sold for 10 cents and featured a roasted chicken on each package. “An expensive, high-grade candy” was how a 1924 Sperry ad described Chicken Dinner, giving it a puzzling air of exclusivity considering it didn’t contain any actual chicken (it was filled with nuts instead, and was coated in chocolate.
Re: “Waterworld”
feat. The Mariner
Folks,
As the Fab 4 counseled all those years ago – “We all live in a yellow submarine.” Actually, perhaps we aren’t the “we”. Let’s pause to take a breath and jump in the deep end.
The BBC offered a report in the midst of the lost submersible search from Jersey, Channel Islands. A US Air National Guard C-17 had been shoehorned into the tiny airport, but left for Belgium requiring repairs after a botched loading attempt of a Magellan rescue submersible. The BBC report included a clear-as-day image from the Titanic seabed surrounds of jewelry including a gold decorated alleged fossilized tooth from a gigantic extinct Meladon (“big tooth”) shark. Jaws twitched as it kind of reminded me of the score-of-years-ago hijackers whose intact passports were found in a debris field.
My TV remote then made a rare flyby of the retrograde CNN world. A ponderous Anderson Cooper was interviewing “Titanic” director James Cameron. The latter was waxing on about the certifications of Florida-based Triton submersibles. I had to pause again for breath. Triton the namesake of the largest moon of Neptune (Poseiden) has outlasted Titan, largest moon of Saturn (Cronus)? I took a look at the Triton website which could be said to cater to the super yacht set. It’s mega-billionaire backer cruises unseen at depth. Some of their products are partnered with Lambourghini. The top end submersibles are rated to beyond(!) Challenger Deep depths. Of course, mythology tells us that Triton, son of Poseiden, lived in a gold palace on the seafloor. 70% lebensraum for the palace, and let the 8 billion squabble over the leftover dirt on Dryland?
Let’s surface and see what classic vintage DJ George is decanting from the studio holds. Inhale deeply, it’s going fast!

Re: Cuppa Bitter Joe
feat. Danish doesn’t butter up
Folks,
No wonder the US Secretary of State didn’t get the time of day from the King last Monday. UK msm is quoting anonymous sources from government’s Whitehall Palace that President Biden nixed the top 2 candidates for new NATO leader. The UK defense secretary is officially out of the running such that Whitehall suggests continued UK defense spending at 2% of gdp may be toast. It seems the EU nominee of a youthful, experienced Danish PM Mrs. Mette Frederiksen was deemed “an amateur” following her recent interview at the White House.
Visitors to London are kindly reminded that the Globe Theatre will have Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” commencing from this July.

Folks,
Northern Ireland’s Dept. of Infrastructure preliminary 2024 budget is out according to the BBC. Street lights will be out from January 1st to the end of March as a cost-saving measure.
Drivers, pedestrians and criminals are invited to comply accordingly with the new proposed measures.

Per Brainamp the S&P should have peaked at 4417 on W2.
Per the S&P chart on Yahoo Finance it hit 4448 intraday and closed at 4409.5 peak before the turnaround.
Sounds like the system is working per design.
Good job by the Carbon Sequestration Farmer.
“China eyeing military training facility in Cuba”
Y’all have no idea how hard I’m sitting on this, just lying in-wait to blast some Leftist or neocon for being a hypocrite. We can NOT angle Ureup to put nukes and training facilities on Russia’s doorstep, then get pissy when China does the same thing to us. If one is “wrong,” so’s the other; if one is “right,” so’s the other. SSDD (same standards, different doorstep…)
“So much so that no one’s even “taking it to the streets” over ‘Cultured’ chicken grown in labs approved by USDA…”
They take a stem cell and “5th Element” it into a ginormous chicken nugget. The process takes about 10 hours and costs about $100,000 per nugget…
Betcha Wuhan could be retooled…juss saying bro Ray…
I REALLY did not need for you to put that thought out into Universe…
Here’s an article discussing time on the submersible. It’s likely the sub occupants didn’t even see the carbon flex.
Titan submersible implosion was so fast victims ‘never knew it happened,’ expert says
“Expert Ofer Ketter said the implosion would occur within a millisecond, if not a nanosecond, if something breached the hull of the vessel to cause a loss in pressure.
“They never knew it happened,” he said of the five victims. “Which is actually very positive in this very negative situation.”
“It was instantaneous — before even their brain could even send a type of message to their body that they’re having pain,” Ketter, co-founder of a private submersible company called Sub-Merge, told The Post from Costa Rica.”

“That DID get one item off my To Do list: I had been thinking about a ham radio callsign license plate.”
Well **shit**
He’s exactly right.
I’ve made a conscious effort to never have a bumper or window sticker (other than Skywarn and ARES) but I do have my call on my license plate. That (and the ARES sticker) will go away when tag renewal time rolls around.
Thumbs up for G-2…
If there’s a need, you can always put your callsign in a window or elsewhere on the car. You can also remove it, unlike the license plate.

As I mentioned some months back: Every great (or long-lived) religion has, within its teaching, some version of the “10 Commandments.”
They are not just a religious teaching, but rules to live by, in a civilized society, to ensure the least friction with other members of that society.
“Don’t murder, lie, steal, screw your neighbor’s wife, etc.” Basic stuff, designed to keep your neighbor from having a reason to kill you (or you, from killing him…)

To clear up some misperceptions I had about the Titan sub, this was not it’s first deep dive. Josh Gates, host of Discovery Channel’s “Expedition Unknown” show, went out in the Titan during a shakedown cruise in 2021. He was evaluating the possibility of using it for a TV show. Being a shakedown cruise, they didn’t go very deep. They had some minor system issues, but nothing life threatening. Josh said he just didn’t feel comfortable committing to the new hull technology until it was well proven, and didn’t pursue using the vessel any farther.
The hull was a composite of Titanium and Carbon Fiber, and was stronger than steel. This was what allowed a larger vessel that would accommodate five people. Traditional deep sea vessels are solid steel, and none has ever failed. The Titan had been to these depths before without failure, so the initial design held up under pressure. The Titan was not on the bottom, but was only about halfway when it failed. My speculation, and others, is that it was a cycling failure of the pressure vessel. It weakens with multiple pressure and temperature cycles.
This happens with aircraft also. Here in Hawaii in 1988 an aging 737 ripped open in flight due to a fuselage failure when it rose to pressurization altitude.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloha_Airlines_Flight_243
The aircraft had 84,000 pressure cycles when it failed. So the maximum ratings on the aircraft were reduced to 45,000 cycles.
I doubt that anyone will continue with this type of composite hull design now.
Dang! Just got back from a trip to Colorado and everyone’s still here!? Thought the World would come to an end while we were in the middle of the trip and we’d be stuck with a bunch of weird-o’s but Estes Park (where Spanish has almost replaced English as the common lingo) would be a great place to get stuck ’til the food ran out after the first few days – then it’s curtains for all the adorable little chipmunks around there and Smokey better look out, too.
As usual, the day we left home all Hell broke lose and a lot of people within a .22 rifle shot of our house on South got hit with a Helluva micoburst that left a 2 mile long trail of BIG broken oak trees and damaged homes across the South end of our part of the county after temps hit 114. No one saw a funnel. Didn’t plan the timing of the trip that way but it did it again last night as the hot air slams into whatever it does as it rises and comes back down with a vengeance. At least we got some moisture out of it.
Got a lot of catching up to do as I didn’t have time to look at the news but got an eye full of the usual total crap that is on the television in the hotel rooms. God help us! – no wonder everyone out side of George’s site thinks the way they do. The local performing arts crew here in Podunk, Texas is even announcing a drag show performance this week or the next (family friendly of course) but it may or may not happen as FB lit up with “negative thoughts” almost immediately. Haven’t heard of Antifa arriving yet to “secure the scene”.
Got to go make sure the goats on the North end have something to drink today so I’d better get that done before the eggs on the sidewalk start sizzling.
Hey! The post previews are back! Thanks George!
