The Leading Edge of Tainter

While in the shower Monday morning, one of those “Doh!” moments hit me. I won’t spoil the (deep) thought, but it explains nearly 100 percent of what’s going on both socially and economically around the world today. If you want to understand news headlines, read Joseph Tainter.

Which we will lay out – vastly simplified – after we get through some “wake me up” headlines to fire “first neurons” and then ponder what the tea leaves have dropped into the ChartPack this week.

But then – our main event – is short, simple, and to the point.  Offering mind-bending outlooks into the future.

It’s the “Leading Edge of Tainter.”

  1. Large bankruptcy filings are spiking:

    https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/us-bankruptcy-filings-surge-fastest-pace-2009

Are rising interest rates culling the brown shirt herd ?

This dovetails with some of Andy’s comments. When will the tinkle down economic misfortune turn into a main street level economic golden shower tsunami? Maybe it already has, and you are ankle deep and haven’t noticed. Andy has made some sort of call for bad economic mojo around 11/02/2023. The timing sounds right.
If you can’t get out from under debt (especially bad debt) in the next 10 months, then at least have a liveable & stocked cash vehicle ready, and housed somewhere besides your driveway. Maybe there is a promised land, at least one county over.

    • People I know are all living on plastic.. the cost of living has spiked.. and wages are not going up to maintain balance.
Those living on set incomes.. the price of existence out paced their income.. then the removal of the tax credits that most of them relied on for survival in an escalating economy .. Income and Outgo has to be equal.. when it is as grosley out of balance as it is now..there is only one thing that can happen.. you cut spending.. or increase income.. without a way to increase income.. you are sunk..

I always called it the death spiral.. you think you might be evening off.. but you are upside down.. and as one scale increases the other scale decreases.. I have been in the death spiral several times in my life.. and survived.. one time was with a post dated check for electricity.. yup.. don’t do it.. the electric company deposited it before payday.. by the time the checks quit bouncing.. that thirty seven dollar check had escalated to over two grand.. not much in todays standards but back then it was two months wages.. Luckily my boss at the time seen his employees as members of the family.. and he saved my butt..
that is where the USA is today.. everyone is in the juggle it.. and go forward.. the worthless eaters are the ones that keep the economy going.. they buy the products to create the wealth of those on top.. once that stalls.. it ends in what will seem overnight..
On paper I look good.. but.. I am insurance poor.. the cost of insurance and taxes.. kill us.. I don’t know how the kids are doing it.. they have daycare and the cost of clothing and food for the kids and if they are in sports or some other activities.. the teller at the bank.. her total income for the week after daycare and insurance cost of driving back and forth.. is two bucks..
that is where the USA is today..at least that is my view from the bottom of the heap.. looking up.. I see a whole lot of people that are not paying attention..

      • I’m thinking that the first wave will be over-leveraged corporate employers, which fits with the news stream. Next wave will be the corporate SOL employees, and employees of all the businesses dependent on the dollar turnover from the corporate sugar-daddies. The folks who are max’ed out on plastic today, will be living out of their cars just in time for next winter. The ones who take action now may avoid a 1929-style debacle; the ones who keep holding on, waiting for a miracle will be Fed economic cannon fodder.

        • Credit card debt is UNsecured. What are they gonna do, lower Ure credit rating for non repayment/default? bwahahahha

I suggest loading up on as much UnSecured debt as you possibly can – F em, they been bending you over for Ure entire adult lifetime. Play to win – and stick it to them when you can.

SelfOrganizingCollectives -SOC – like living amongst the Mennonites and Amish.. ; )

        • I heard the cr@p about maxing out credit cards back in 1999. Party like it’s 1999. The folks who did that wrecked their credit ratings. You probably can’t join a SOC with bad credit history.
Once everyone is playing the fr@ck the creditors game, then all you have to worry about is unsecured leg breakers coming back into style. When times are bad, the get’er done debt collectors make a comeback.

        • “You probably can’t join a SOC with bad credit history.”

you can’t N___… I had an employer that tossed all his employees under the bus gambling with the money they paid for health insurance playing the stock market..
then a freak accident and it no health insurance and the effects destroyed me..
that was forty Years ago and it follows you the rest of your life..

        • “then all you have to worry about is unsecured leg breakers coming back into style. ”

lol lol the collection agent for the hospital wasn’t a leg breaker..but he did come in and set his gun on the table.. we actually became friends.. years later the same thing that happened go him and I was one of his care givers..

      • LOOB its actually a virtuous circle as they say. Whether circling the camode in clockwise or counter clockwise fashion is all up to the Corelalis effect..

        Got Blockchain?

        • “its actually a virtuous circle as they say. Whether circling the camode in clockwise or counter clockwise fashion is all up to the Corelalis effect..”

You are absolutely right to.. IT IS A CIRCLE…. Nothing for something they desire nothing so they can get something. Your life and liberty depends on you having a lot of nothings to survive..I believe that is why AI was able to create a great deal of block chain out of nothing for someone.. the computer knows it is just a number LOL. and when there is a reboot of society those that have something will be the kings.. even though they acquired it with nothing LOL LOL LOL.
god there was a song about it..

      • CC debt can be cleared in bankrupcy and then see how quick they send new cards. Been there done that on $120000 cash.

  2. one last song before I go adventuring. always reminds me of my time on the mountain. grabbing gears, working in the quarries, mines and driking coffee, listing to loud music, the smell of diesel exhaust, dust and Big Bucks on the road. side dumping off a 400 foot cliff on the fly at 30mph. driving the line intuitively a foot from the edge. wearing Justin cowboy boots and calling out on the CB “inbound dumpster corner.” “out bound two on the one.” and “in bound skinny bridge”.

working for Hos and that fella on here in the comment section calling me hoss. and me laughing because he didn’t know i worked for Hos.

coming 6 inches from flying off a cliff to my death when a tye rod busted and ripped the steering wheel out of my hand and I had to dynamite the wagon breaks to stop. super thrilling moment in my life.

wonderful morning sunrises and sunsets, and seeing the mountain change though the seasons. and that beautiful girl who drove me fucking nuts.

this song will always remind me of that time of my life. I can close my eyes and smell it and see it. and feel it when I listen to it.

    and, now for the new…..

the best of life, the very best of life.

  3. “The specific work doesn’t really matter. It can be driven by natural (NOT man-made) climate change. Anasazi. It can be a result of corruption, earth changes, and politics as in Rome. ”

what if its a combination.. Look at what’s going on..

corrupt and greed flows freely in DC. the dual standards of law has those in power scurrying to cover over and legitimize their actions and greed.

    we have endless wars

    we disassembled our industry

A runaway economy and failure to repair and rebuild vital infrastructure
    dumbed down our children.

jeopardizing our national security over our lack to secure our grid and borders over profit and greed..

opened the borders to illegals from countries that openly threatened our country by using those exact methods to enter.. ( I read once there could have been a donation to get this done. which we will never know for sure )
We subject our youth to illegal deviant and illicit ethical behaviors as a form of entertainment. promoting them as good and honorable.

we removed the adult supervision by deregulation of our basic necessities for profit. forcing the youth to rely on gangs and multi media as their source of learning.

our medical system is one of the worse on the planet. by with holding medical necessities from the general public.

turned schools of higher learning into party paradise.

forced civilization to seek dependence on social programs.

de-funded police in extremely high risk areas..

the effects of climate and food production

reduce the area for crop production by our aggressive expansion policies

to turn thing around would be a monstrous job flipping everything 180 degrees..

    • WmoRR smacked the same buzzer (*winning this round and going on to Curtain #3)

It’s all kinds of novel (ideas) seeded, blooming, and dying back all about the same time.

    • I kinda like some of the ideas LOOB has here.
      1 totally open border.
      2 No welfare on entry.
      3 No food Stamps
4 no assistance of any kind.
      5 no free medical
6 no free schooling for children.
      7 no anchor babies.
You must pay a $25,000/head entry fee. (Quit paying the cartels, pay us instead.) You get for this the Ugly Sister entry. You must work 7 years, pay full taxes on everything with no deductions, full 15.6% payroll tax, send NO money home to relatives, and break not one law, code, etc. No Drunk Driving, no human trafficking, speeding, rape, child molestation, anything or you lose all and are repatriated across the border via trebuchet. And you must maintain full auto coverage and homeowners while here.
To get the “Full Rachel” version, after completing your 7 years with your nose clean, you may work a further 7 years with a 7year green card, you may start a business if you wish and work for yourself or as a 1099 contractor, and take all tax benefits that accrue, you may purchase property, and have all the benefits of a visa to live in the USA. If you complete this 7 years in good standing you are given a permanent green card, the right to stay and be an “American in name only.”
Oh, and no voting ever. If you want to be a citizen, go back to the border and wait Ure turn, and come in the hard way. This only allows you to skip the line, not be one of us.
We need to make this pay for us somehow, not the globalist Ben & Jerry’s having kids pack ice cream in Vermont.

  4. Fireworks exhibitions usually end with a Grand Finale. Very satisfying.

Movies most often have a key wrap-it-all-up scene, often more symbolic than deterministic — “Casablanca” ends with Rick and Reynaux strolling into the night fog as Bogey says,”Ya know Loowy, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.” Perfect! Theme swells, roll credits.

Woody Allen (who I consider creepy but brilliant) said words to the effect, “Life is imperfect. The Movies are our only chance to get it right.” The Good Guys win in the final reel. (Usually, but not always.)

    Yeah.

But in Real Life, “things” often end stupidly, or they just peter out with NO clear actual end. Divorce. Korean war. Things that don’t end cleanly, with a big explosion or some Big Music. The Main Enemy Guy does NOT get gooshed by his own evil machine.

Very UNsatisfying, but much more common. No Big Period, or FULL STOP sign.

They say we may be in the Final Reel — of what? Life? Civilization? The Old World Order? The “Church Age?” The Greater Post World War Two International Industrial Interregnum Prosperity Era? Just what?

Whatever it is we’re living through, it’s not terribly likely to end with a Quick-Cut-To-Black, and music and credits. We might not even know THAT it ended if we happen to miss seeing the exit and notice a bit further down the road that things ARE somehow different now, and maybe we grope to define How or Why or When.

After some Action and a few swans, we might not even be able to identify what the last event was before the Langoliers came and ate the scenery.

We’ll be well into The New Future before we are even aware of it.

    • Well, totally with you on being in the future before noticing.
But Tainter is more like “All Civilizations/moods/periods/ages end when the last reel winds up on them.”

Having numerous reels playing doesn’t stop them from all ending about the same time. So I’d urge generalization to the scene projected, not the hollow plots and specifics.

  7. The first comment to the Yahoo Atlanta’s Buckhead District secession story reads, “When the amount you pay dosen’t equal the services you receive, you leave. People fighting back against Taxation without Representation is a founding principle.”

    Talk about synchronicity!

  8. “Seceding From City.”

Don’t we all want to secede? Sears has been gone for 10 years now.

Yet today we still drag Sears around our necks by funding their pension plan a second time AND lose purchasing power to the required inflation that makes the funding possible. The BAGS. Opt me out, baby!

We’re trapped in a car with a drunk driver. We’ll have survive the crash to leave the car.

      • Yeah, we’ll never be satisfied.

My 90+ Y/O uncle loves FDR and FDR programs. “We were poor back then.” 1930’s Detroit.

        • LOL. My maternal grandfather had a picture of FDR on the wall and made his kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance to it, not the flag. In his mind FDR WAS America and, coming from the Eastern Mediterranean, he’d seen what war and little potentates could do to a country and its people. No other country treated its people like America did at that time.

    • “We’re trapped in a car with a drunk driver. We’ll have survive the crash to leave the car.”

Now from my experience.. they don’t loose memory.. they pick an age and that is where they reside.. we had a professor.. highly intelligent.. but the age they settled into was the first year of school.. as long as you stayed in the contex of the age they picked.. you were ok.. we had a specialist from Cali come in and they were determined to get them to todays age.. so they told this patient that their mother had died.. HELL CAME LOOSE.. oh my god.. it was not good.. the aides came out and said.. we need you now.. the so called specialist told them their mother died.. I had to run in and said.. what are you doing.. you got to get ready for school.. Im telling MOM.. and that was all it took.. bathrooms.. they get bowel excessive they know they have to go but forgot why or what they had to do…. and when it gets to the late stages.. you can sit them in front of a mirror and give them a pile of towels and wash cloths..to keep their mind busy.. sun downers.. phew.. and if they are violent in real life.. that becomes real prominent.. seen an aide that was put in the hospital because the patient ripped a toilet off of the floor and beat the aide with it..
I use to play golf with a really nice young doctor that worked as a tech with me.. we played golf on wednesdays.. it was a good time.. we had one patient that needed some intervention.. but he would say.. its all in your approach.. I said no it isn’t.. he would say.. I am a doctor and I tell you it is all in your approach.. anyway.. the patients room mate was a button pusher.. LOL LOL and he came to do his monthly rounds.. the nurse had to run get the chart.. the patient went off.. grabbed his tie and almost killed him.. had him up against the wall hanging him holding him in the air LOL LOL LOL he pushed the button.. by the time the nurse got back to the room he was blue.. LOL LOL LOL LOL had hangmans scar for a long time.. anyway the patient got the help they needed. ( today they have the drop and flop law no chemical or physical restraints..a completely different world and ways of dealing with those ) . but when we went to play golf.. as he was walking up to the ball.. I said be careful doc.. its all in your approach .. LOL that was the last game he ever played with me.. wouldn’t even give me the time of day.. that is sad I really did like him.. he just didn’t understand.. sometimes the floor worker has more insight..

      • A long-time friend is a “mental health expert”. She told me of an Alzheimer’s patient she had that was sitting in his room when she arrived, smiling. Said he was waiting for his wife. The ‘expert’ did as she does on every visit, and informed the guy that his wife had died 10 years ago. I told her that was mean, and why did she have to make him unhappy. Her response is that he has to be brought back to reality. I figure if his reality is a happy time from his past and he’s not harming anyone, he should enjoy his reality.

        • lol..the specialist is absolutely correct with early onset.. with a patient with early onset you do re-establish them to current day date and time.. i personally believe as the brain calcification progresses that communication between the neurons ceases..

          https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1742706122001349#:~:text=Brain%20calcification%20(calcium%20phosphate%20mineral,the%20disease%20are%20not%20clear.

the specialists rarely work the floor..they work the desk.. so they have the intellectual studies down but lack the practical hands on experiences..
with people in the very late stages you can basically sit them in front of a mirror..they will recognize the person..
which is why I love Urban survival.. G.. has a great diversified subject matter..this allows all of us to contemplate life situations from many different perspectives.
it’s like my time doing moles and logs..I use to do them in my mind today I’d have difficulties with a calculator.. I bieve it would come back to me.. but the use it or loose it .. if you notice the clinical exercises that are given to dementia patients is to stimulate different portions of the mind.. so when you see balloon toss.. etc. it’s for a purpose..
of course I’m no expert..just a schmuck that worked the floor..

  9. “Because as you read his work, it becomes very clear that in all failing civilizations, every trick in the (historical) books to avoid collapse and the walk-away outcomes are tried.”
    – .., and as the failing, the collapse continued, more and harsher ‘tricks’ were applied – to the point of punishment on the citizens., as those in power became desperate to remain in power – which only hasten the collapse as the citizens ‘walked away’ in greater numbers, even faster because of their mandates and ‘punishments’. On a smaller scale, Chicago is an excellent example of this ‘cycle of failure’.
    – In each case of a failing civilization, once the collapse started and the cycle of failure began, there was no salvation., there was no saving that society /civilization. The collapse was inevitable and predictable. [ Hind-sight is, after-all, 20/20 ]
    – But now., this cycle of failure, seems to have gone global and not just one civilization, one society., by many, all at the same time. A joint cluster-f_ _ _ . So.., is a global collapse inevitable and predictable ? Will there be a joint “push the button” moment and all societies., all of civilization, in unison – collapse ??

    • And now you are at this morning’s point: Insert predictive biphasic survival exponential decay here.

The Economic Fractalist would no doubt concur. Triphasic, or multiphasic, but the exponents are in play

  10. None of this mania about the collapse of societies is true. However, the controlled media’s depiction of it makes us question that we are collapsing. Fox’s recent admission of their role in flaming the fires about the stolen election lies ( I abhor the fact that they felt the need to lie, but give them credit for finally admitting it publicly) and CNN’s complete overhaul (not enough) is a start, but a fraction of what needs to happen.

In reality, life is better than good. It’s amazing. The key is to measure what you feel is really good and bad? What’s the benchmark? Is it society, the media or your own? That may be everyone’s problem. Quit worrying about what everyone else is saying or doing and win your own personal day, everyday. It’s really easy of you focus, listen, learn and try real hard. We all have the ability to be the equivalent of elite athletes in our own domain.

    • In terms of the mouse experiments they did back in the 50s I’d say you were one of the “pristine mice” that retreated back into the recesses of the enclosure and didn’t participate in the day-to-day socializing and general rat race. Those experiments mirrored human society so well it was amazing.

Whether you wish to acknowledge what’s coming or not is up to you. I personally think Ben at Suspicious 0bservers is right and we’re going to have a micro-nova event in the 2030s or a bit later and things will be taken farther back than the Georgia Guidestones ever dreamed about. You have to admit, though, that the World leadership is running out of intelligence faster than anything we’ve ever seen before.

    • One can interpret most of the pushback against failing central control as mass composite normalcy bias. Nothing is true until the normalcy bias becomes so absurdly obvious that even the most deluded ignoramus pulls their head out into the light of day and recognizes that they failed to see the elephant in the room. And normalcy bias plays all sides of all issues.
Having said that, I agree with a measure of what you are saying; however, that doesn’t mean that the grim economic reaper isn’t coming to a main street near you. Prepare for reality, enjoy what you have, and don’t be manipulated by either public manias, or by people with heads up their @sses.

“The six were relieved of leadership positions due to a loss of confidence in their ability to complete assigned duties, the press release stated.”

    • Pathfinder Bob,

That’s too bad. The last paragraph of your linked article leads on to a just-concluding case against a retired Air Force member. It would appear there in the context of classified documents that homework is an oxymoron. It also reminds readers of the recent revelation of another past USA VP’s search for classified documents at home made “out of an abundance of caution”.

Oh, someone dropped a penny in the jukebox again. Here’s DJ George with “Sing a Song of SixPence”.

  12. Revisiting the lab-leaked pandemic, I reported a year ago that blood work indicated I was leaking albumin into urine due to endothelial damage…..just as several reports on mRNA vax damage described.

Another blood test a year later shows that the condition has only improved slightly. Here is a link to research that may explain why:

    https://www.infowars.com/posts/mrna-vaccines-contain-dna-that-can-turn-human-cells-into-permanent-spike-protein-factories-study/

Methods of stopping the process have been put forward – here is the latest one (I have not tried it. This is not an endorsement):

    https://petermcculloughmd.substack.com/p/dissolution-of-spike-protein-by-nattokinase

    • Nattokinase
      Serrapeptase
      Glysine
N-Acetal-Cystene (NAC) (Antidote for Tylenol OD).
Take the four for three months and it is supposed to destroy all Pike proteins in the body.

  13. Black Swans change linear progressions to an entirely different and non linear location for what is being measured. We are CLOSE to such a Black Swan Event (imo) wrt markets, and our society, as the various conflicts and potential conflicts come closer and closer on the time scale.

    1) Israel WILL be forced to go after Iran, by itself if it can’t drag the US and France with it, in the very near future.

With reportedly 9 different UNDERGROUND sites needing to be hit will Israel be able to do that conventionally, or will second suns be required?

Without US and France involvement Israel does not have the ability to destroy all of those sites without the use of it’s full range of weaponry … but if (once) a second sun is used the world on the other side of that time line will be an entirely different world than exists today. A major Black Swan event will have occured that philosophers and moralists will discuss for decades, if not centuries, since the door to the use of those types of weapons will have been FULLY opened and can never be closed again.

    2) A conventional attack on and invasion of Taiwan by China would be another Black Swan event that would change the world as we know it.

The reason for that change being that we no longer produce not just the specific items we used daily that come from China or Taiwan but because the base level products that are NEEDED in order to produce stuff outside of China often COMES from China (steel 10x US; aluminum 20x US; titanium 50x – 100x if you count Russia in) US; shipbuilding 50-100x US; merchant marine 100x-200x US; and rare earth minerals for producing the super efficient electric motors etc., near INFINITY x US).

    3) A third Black Swan event is the eventual US involvement in the Ukraine /Russia war.

The US keeps creeping closer and closer to being directly in that conflict … and eventually WILL be directly in that conflict (which was created by and desired by the US and British Neolibs /Neocons – they WANT that War to occur and WANT the US to be involved in it).

By the end of 2024 we should have had one, if not two, of those Black Swan events (could even be by the end of 2023)… and from there it will only get worse as our society starts to become “reorganized”, because of the new way resources are allocated, or are missing, and not reorganized in a way that is positive for the everyday people.

Barbara Tuchman in her great book “The Guns of August” talks about the period just before WW 1 began and the collapse of European Societies began. Dancing at the grand ball … and then suddenly they turned out the lights and it was dark outside … with the lights were never to be turned back on again.

In Georgetown for many decades there sat, a street up from the main drag of Georgetown, the foundation remnants of the Austrian-Hungarian Embassy. It was obviously a HUGE building for being in virtual downtown Georgetown, and because of it’s location had to have been one of the early BIG Embassies in that city, maybe the biggest. It lay in ruins when I first encountered it … and for many years thereafter almost everytime I visited that city I would make it a point to drive past those ruins for a psychic reminder that even GREAT Empires can die a sudden and cruel death, and once the stake is driven through their heart they MAY NEVER RISE AGAIN.

The wealth and power that Embassy represented prior to WW1 would only have been rivaled in Washington DC by the British, German, and French Embassies … and in a FLASH that entire Empire was gone, and gone so completely that it’s former Embassy became just a pile of rubble in short order.

I was in my early 20’s staying just down the street when I first saw it and it made a huge impression upon me. I have never fogotten that pile of rubble, can still see it in my mind today … and it struck me quite deeply the first time I saw it and learned what it had been since I instantly knew what it represented, the sudden and complete collapse of an EMPIRE. As I see it in my mind again today that lesson of the suddeness and completeness of a many centuries old Empire’s TOTAL POLITICAL COLLAPSE still resonates in my mind.

    Black Swans will do that.

I have mentioned these two solutions to many of the problems outlined today on numerous occasions with your concurrence as I recall.
What is great about Right Now is these options would allow the Small Government RIPS in the House to stab back at the Globalists Banksters and Corporations, with the Full-Throated support of the FauxCahantist Progressives on Tax and Spend left.
    The plan is:
    #1
An Excise tax on all transactions made on Wall Street of $1.00 per trade on Any Computer Generated (Front Running, house generated rip-off scam) trade made for the Benefit of the trading houses accounts. The Excise would not apply to any Retail trade made by a retail trader for a personal account.
(What is the volume of trades on Wall Street every day? They would continue to do it because each trade has to be making more than $1 dollar. So, there is $2Billion of more new revenue a day.)
    #2
Each Robot in US industry no matter where located (from the car washes to the new burger flippers to advances spark shooting welders and additive/subtractive machines, etc.) SHALL pay 4X the rate of SSI payroll tax of an average Minimum wage worker ($15.00/hr). This will cover the loss to Social Security of the four workers on rotating shifts that the robot replaces. We won’t try to calculate what the wage rate was, and we won’t charge the payroll tax for machine down time for maintenance rebuilds etc. But whenever it is running the robot pays the payroll tax,
This will also thrill the Lizzie the lizards that want to ream corporations, while allowing the Rips to stick it to the Globalists.
Someone tell me why either of these is not a fair tax, as the original intent of the Constitution was to run the entire shebang on excise taxes.
Someone has to get this in front of the tax writing committees of the House right now!

  15. Interesting background and current info should anyone be interested in reading up on desantis. Hopefully everyone has determined Fox news can’t be trusted for truth by now. Delayed truth maybe, but only when it suits them.

Seems all the noise is to distract us from the fact that our votes still don’t count. If we don’t fix that then the deep state will keep winning.

Or do an internet search for the conservative treehouse and put desantis in their search box on the right of the home page.

    • “Hopefully everyone has determined Fox news can be trusted for truth, but only when it suits them.”

      Fixed that for you…

Fox is still the best, and least biased of the big news channels. Understand though, that that is saying absolutely nothing.

Rupert doesn’t rule the roost any more, and his kids are nearly as far Left as the overlords at CNN and MSNBC. Fox is not going to can their talkers, because they make buckets full of money, but their actual news coverage, whilst retaining the “tabloid feel” is slowly moving Left…

  16. Re: The Prince & the Pauper
feat. A Ribbeting Tale of Frogmore

    Folks,

It’s a moving season. As the bough breaks that “peep, peep, peep” sound you may be hearing is perhaps one of the brood falling out of the nest. The Firm has had its way with the media again regarding the “eviction” from the 5 bedroom Frogmore Cottage. The Sussexes had converted their long-term lease with the King last April to a rolling 12 month term with options to renew (or not). One wonders if the Sussexes have already boxed up and shipped the suspected Matisse painting from the living room if it was not part of the Crown Estate. It should surely fit well into their much more opulent 9 bedroom Montecito estate in California.

The pauper in this whole charade would appear to be the prince of york. His peak of grace and favor perhaps was his wedding gift from the late Her Majesty of the Sunninghill Park estate in Berkshire whose toilet roll dispensers allegedly issued forth with “God Save the Queen” during operation. Now he must decamp from the palatial Royal Lodge of Windsor Park into the the confines of Frogmore Cottage. The abode of course is famous for having housed Mohammed Abdul Karim CVO CIE (aka the Munshi) during his tenure as “beloved manservant” of Queen Victoria for the final 19 years of her life. Later the home was subdivided into apartments to house Windsor’s servants. It should not be confused with fit-for-a-queen Frogmore House which served the wife of King GeorgeIII. To add insult to injury, the prince probably won’t receive any prorate back on building improvements he was forced to make by lease to Royal Lodge. He bids adieu on paper to perhaps £5million in that regard.

Meanwhile, in the ancestral home of the Windsors, Deutsche Welle has reported upon the letter from the CEO of German publishing giant Axel Media to staff. He anticipates that AI will soonly be replacing many of the duties currently fulfilled by human journalists. Employees are advised to plan accordingly.

    • OMG … after the yorkie got back with the fergie (are the toes in still in good shape?) they are being forced to move to almost civilian accommodations? What would his friend, the Lord of 9 East 71st Street, have said about that?

It sounds awfully small, is there room there for the former Fleet Street Baron’s daughter to visit, once she is allowed?

  17. “Which means the government is no longer under control of the elective population. For if it were, Continuity of Government would demand an immediate no-holds-barred track-back to sources and swift punishment if not death for crimes against humanity for Gain of Function.”

    OR…..

you don’t want them to discover ..WHO… designed sars covid…
one side says it was designed in one place..TBE other claims the other side designed it..
you wouldn’t search the who unless you were concerned as to who would be found..
smells of dirty fingers on several levels..
