Say, there’s a symbiotic relationship for you. Let’s roll the Gross Domestic Product out first. Because you have already suspected what the real agenda of higher prices has been.
Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 2.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022 (table 1), according to the “third” estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the third quarter, real GDP increased 3.2 percent.
The GDP estimate released today is based on more complete source data than were available for the “second” estimate issued last month. In the second estimate, the increase in real GDP was 2.7 percent. The revision primarily reflected downward revisions to exports and consumer spending (refer to “Updates to GDP”). Imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, were revised down.
Next, we drill into the Unemployment Filings.
Which has been pretty tame lately, because despite the “supposedly robust” economy, we are experiencing growth because of two (mainly) made-up industries. The “Division Industry” has been all about turning minor actual differences between humans into glorious administrative boondoggles. When you add that into the Death Industry (thanks Russia, thanks Ukraine, thanks NATO, thanks Defense Contractors) you can put economic activity anywhere you want. Scale threats, scale money. Like with Covid…
“The Division Industry?”
There may be one more chapter added to my next book that I’m editing. It’s called “The 100 Year Toaster” and it’s all about how the world screwed itself into a corner by placing employment, tax generation, and profits above the desirability of environmental responsibility. Balance. Remember the concept?
We don’t need the social tensions that arise from the mass marketing of division and hate. But no one asked. DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) programs are very much anti-climate and pro-waste. They operate very much like a communist marionette pretending to be Robinhood.
See, what happened in the evolution of the world is that given time and God-knows how many engineers and marketers, all products either rose to similar levels of reliability and performance… Or they perished. Commodores were fun computers. But just for a bit. 8-bits, in fact.
One of my favorite cartoons that reveals the hoax of DEI bullshit showed a couple of paramedics showing up to save some lard-ass having a heart attack. The Patient looks up and says “I sure hope my medical response team is the most diversified available…”
See it? Competence is out the door. Equality, too. Equality means “same starting blocks.” Equity means regardless of who’s the winner in the footrace of Life, they will have their prizes stolen from them.
And as for Inclusion? “Idiots Ahoy!” There really are people who should get get the f*ck out of the way and let producers produce.
Venomous Ure? Not really. Read the Data: Survey finds 68% of North American employers have a formal DEI program | Benefits Canada.com
Doesn’t make your car more reliable, beef-up security, contribute to profits of shareholders. Reduce environmental turnover? Save energy? Nope and nope. It’s a useless “socialist” layer where a phony value-add is claimed and people are dumb enough to buy it. Looking at the caliber of dopes holding office in North America should have been the clue: the public can’t be trusted.
The hell of it – as an honest environmentally aware tree farmer with 30 solar panels and a co-gen site – is this “sham progress” shakes out as the same template that classical communist dialectic employed. “Make up a phony problem and you can make up whatever answer you want.” Hegelian bliss, is it not? All begins with an innocent false premise.
Yep, people are that stupid.
Here we go, though: Evidence shows DEI and related insanity is in our face more than ever. BLM Dodges Adidas Legal Battle, but Other Brands Remain Targets (businessinsider.com).
Pardon Ure for asking this on such a fine spring morning, but as Adidas bends over to BLM but goes after non-racial “infringers” of their trademark, isn’t that – you know – kinda racist? Not that pussy-whipped Whites will get it. Call them a name and they cower on command. Not seeing how marketing, positioning, and propaganda really work.
Laughably, ADL calls White Lives Matter a “supremacist” group over at White Lives Matter | ADL. They don’t seem to apply such labels to BLM. Again, in a world based on EQUALITY, the same standard would be applied to Black Lives Matter. See how the social swindle works? Very “dis-equal” treatment, looks like to us.
The good news (such as it is) remains that Social Division and sheer ignorance is how questionable (at best) governments remain in power, operating the Wage Slaves (a non-racial group) at Maximum Theft (via taxes) to spin up the game to even greater heights of folly.
Unconstitutional scams of government (like civil asset forfeiture without due process) and socialist radical groups who want to seize your assets on “equity” grounds” are all symptoms of America’s massive decline of mental acuity.
Jim-friggin Dandy. Ya’ll have fun. Me? I’m just an Equality Champion whose circle is circumscribed by core competences, not race or gender, not the BS circulated on self-serving, government-influenced (and bought-off), social media.
All humans are equal in the eyes of God, and mine (as a minor aspirant) as well. But you don’t have claim on my time or money unless we jointly agree. We are totally EQUAL. But that doesn’t mean I’m stupid in the presence of thieves. Maybe that shoe fits you. Fine. Just don’t try to put it on me.
There. Blood pressure still good?
Now let me help. Go look for rights activists who understand the equality-equity swap scam. Maybe you’ll even find the New Tolerance Campaign. “The WHAT?”
Dude! About the New Tolerance Campaign.
Markets: Ure’s Forecast Arriving!
This is a kind of long story, so I will give you the quickie read-in.
- The Internet Bubble busted shortly after I finished by dime store MBA.
- The Financial Industry lied and blamed it all on tech.
- So we made an Aggregate Index which reveals an overall reading of markets, not the “marketing” convenient segments.
- Rinse and repeat for 22 years.
And using this proprietary equal-dollar adjudicator of Reality, here’s how it looked early this morning.
Yee-haw! Almost up to our declining trend line which we will likely kiss either today or tomorrow. A weekly close at this line MAY be the completion of a minor wave that sets up April collapse.
Future Offering Hints
Here we go again: Residents ordered to evacuate after train derailment causes fire in Minnesota. In response to this story, we have opened out pool on how fast the Transportation Secretary will go visit. No takers until mid-April so far… Still, too many train wrecks indicating track issues, so a Midwest earthquake is on our watch list. Track displacement being a possible precursor, right?

ATR: A “New” Old Computer
As an old man of 74, I do try to “keep a hand in tech” now and then. One easy way to do this is to force yourself to keep multiple computers and networks going for your own productivity maximization. (Hell, I should work for Gartner if I can string BS like that together!)
So here I am with a “new” used computer.
I’d happened to be looking at used and refurbs and found a HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Desktop, Intel Core i7 4770 3.4Ghz, 32GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB SSD Hard Drive, USB 3.0, DVDRW, Windows 10 Pro (Renewed) on Amazon for $200-bucks.
It showed up and it’s great. Sure, won’t run Win11 and the processor isn’t supported. But for a bargain basement serious Android for PC or Mint or Ubuntu box, what the hell, right?
Came with Windows 10 Pro – and I guess this is the last of it with support phasing out.
There are some hacks on the net to work around TPM 2.0 or better on the processor side, if I wanted to do a Win11 install, but where’s the fun in that?
There are useable OS choices all over the place. Android for PC might be interesting so I could run the surveillance drone direct off the big screen monitor. E.G. the main computer and a KVM to the Android box.
Or for playing at script kiddie stuff, another Linux machine, doubling as a local storage node and media server might be fun, too. Also, Linux would work for CNC and 3D printer work.
So many choices, so I thought I would throw it out there. As a long-term reader (like Ray, who’s a computer whiz) what direction would you take this box? Or, do nothing, but stay focused on mission and have ReactOS as a backup plan if/when Win10 Pro bites the big one.

“too many train wrecks indicating track issues”
Deferred maintenance. The money goes to pension COLA. The train operators know bailouts will happen. The nation has to have trains. “Even India has trains”.
I operate my Wyze cams using Bluestacks. Works great. Easy to save video, yada, yada. Not bad on memory.
Minnesota had a train wreck last night.
Considering tremors and small earthquakes, the ground is shifting. – they need people to monitor track conditions regularly. Specially since fracking has been causing some of this rumbles.
I’m missing the articles indicating track cracks from seismic activity.
There was video of the East Palestine train throwing sparks from a wheel 20 miles before the derailment.
The Minnesota Governor says last night’s crash was a safety issue and the state will spring for more staff.
“This incident has highlighted the critical need to invest in rail safety and the state’s emergency management response to prevent incidents like this from happening again.”
“Walz added that his proposed budget makes “significant investments” in rail safety, including $600,000 for rail safety inspectors. ”
And the RR were recently bailed out. $600,000 buys less than 6 inspectors.
“with average rail worker wages reaching about $110,000 per year by the end of the agreement.”
https://raillaborfacts.org/news/bargaining-status-faq-2022/
Grew up about 40 miles from the Minnesota train wreck. Never experienced earth tremors or an earthquake anytime that I lived in Minnesota. Probably more likely water erosion from melting snow.
Everybody blames the tracks. Fact is, the wheels are a more common mode of failure. Think of how many freight car wheel sets are in use. It only takes one wheel failure to take out a train full of hundreds of wheels.
George,
Taking the liberty to rearrange your “alcohol, preservatives, nitrates, and sugars” into Sugars, Nitrates, Alcohol and Preservatives,” a trendy SNAP acronym results for use in ‘Ure SNAP Diet’ or ‘SNAP Day.’ I’ll settle for a 2% take on royalties. ;-)
SNAP is also the acronym for the welfare credit card. “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program”
Oh, snap!
$129 Walmart Lenovo 14 inch Ideapad 1 Celeron n5030 4+0 cores 4/128 GB eMMC, 1.1/3.0 GHz 1 usb type c, 1 usb 3.0, 1 usb 2.0 sd card reader, hdmi, audio jack.
Windows 11 easily replaced with Linux Ubuntu.
Or replaced with Windows 10, not so easy.
11 leaves software on c: drive designed to prevent 10 successful install.
sd card and wi-fi may stop working.
Laptop 11 wi-fi runs at 1.3 gbs.
That is a good deal for a simple laptop. It looks to be the same one that George bought back in November (Lenovo Ideapad 1) but George’s only had 64 GB eMMC vs the 128 GB eMMC on this version. George (I bought one too) paid $99 but imo it is worth the extra $30 for the extra 64 GB of eMMC for the machine.
What I did with mine to get extra memory was I got a FAST micro SD card (I got a 256 gig) to use as additional memory and then bought a super small micro SD card holder that would hold that memory card INSIDE the machine instead of the SD card poking out the side.
(ie: this is to PERMENATELY install the SD card in the machine, NOT for putting in and taking out the SC card all the time – the holder WILL BREAK if you do that per customer reports)
The holder I bought fits FLUSH with the side of the computer so nothing is sticking out that can break … so now I have an inexpensive laptop (8 to 10 hours of run time) with 64 GB of internal memory (the 128 GB would be MUCH better) and effectively a hard drive with 256 GB of memory … and STILL have several USB ports I can use for removable storage. (I have no idea WHY the Idea Pad 1 only has a FULL size SD card slot and not a micro slot that holds a micro SD card totally inside, but it is what it is) (you will have to change the computer’s defaults as to where it saves stuff so everything NEW goes to the SD card and NOT the internal memory … easy to do)
The Micro SD holder that fits FLUSH against the machine for the Lenovo Idea Pad 1 at Amazon for $24.99 is:
“BASEQI Aluminum MicroSD Adapter for Lenovo Yoga 900 & 710”
Once you add the extra memory and the Micro SD card holder you are looking at a total cost of about $175+- … AND it is a Lenovo (ie: WELL MADE!)
Sure it’s not a power computer … but for a decent inexpensive laptop with good battery times $175 is a good price (imo). And of course you can add a bigger Micro SD card at the outset, but because those get thicker with more memory you may want to limit it’s size to 512 GB, only the 256 GB card though is guaranteed to be thin enough so that you can slide the adapter with the SD card in it into the computer.
THANKS for catching this …. GREAT DEAL imo

My “move the bigger 2 to the right” seems less crazy, now, doesn’t it?
It does look that way – don’t it…, there is an awful lot of cash sitting on the sidelines – just awaitin’ for someone to sound the bell.
A couple of days ago Charles Schwab said that if all of their investors made a run on their deposits [ talk of run-on-banks] they could ‘easily’ cover 100 % of the down-draw from their reserves. That’s a lot of money sitting-n-waiting.
George, Ure probably Okay with Windows 10, just ensure it is version 22H2 on the thing. It will be compatible with your 3-D printer and more than likely your drone(s) you use ATR. The hint above about Windows 11 installs is not bad either.
As for Linux… you really can’t go wrong there either, depending on what you want to do with the box.
I would say, it is a toss-up, depending on what you want to do with it. I think that is a good deal for $200, hands down.

The more a piece of property looks run-down from the road., the higher likelihood it’ll be by-passed by the marauding Mad Max types. So.., a little disheveled could be a good thing. [ sans – fire danger.] Can anyone see the solar panels from the road?
I live in a very remote area and don’t worry about the “Mad Max” types from the cities, but more about the others who live out here full time and don’t bother to prep. That includes the Deputies with our local Sheriff Department. Next would be the part timers and others who have some vacation property in the area who get out of the cities in time, but don’t bring enough supplies with them.
Late Summer wildfires are, of course a concern here, so keeping the weeds and sagebrush mowed back a reasonable distance.
As for Solar Panels, I can only think of the Spring of 2020 when it seemed like we had a “summer” level of traffic on the dirt road where I live. I kept seeing people stopping near the end of my driveway like they were scoping out my solar panels and rather large garden. Yeah, it made me nervous.
Boarding up with plywood and spraying black paint for simulated burn on the street side was my idea. I also seem to remember on the old westerns that the shutters had crosses cut in ’em as holy gun ports.
Question about the “darkness.” Is this just the beginning of something they can’t see beyond, or is it something short term?

JOHN WHITEHEAD: Ask yourselves: why are we being bombarded with crises, distractions, fake news and reality TV politics? We’re being conditioned like lab mice to subsist on a steady diet of bread-and-circus politics and an endless spate of crises.
Caught up in this “crisis of the now,” the average person has a hard time keeping up with and remembering all of the “events,” manufactured or otherwise, which occur like clockwork in order to keep us distracted, deluded, amused, and insulated from reality.
All the while, the government continues to amass more power and authority over the citizenry.

Amen to that. I anticipate the balance scale to tip towards merit and competency any day now. The whole everyone’s got to be a winner is such bogus s**t. Innovation has stagnated due to this mindset, and it’s results are worldwide. Let those who can DO it best, do.
Comment on a post made a few days ago…,
– A couple of weeks back I had an ‘incident’ while walking down main street in my small burg – seems a hygiene-challenged a-hole from the Seattle area thought an ‘older couple’ would be easy targets for an assault. As he laid on the sidewalk I was about to pull my knife when the misses convinced me that going full Viking on the miscreant wasn’t worth the jail-time. So.., we waited for the police – all turned out well and the sidewalk-hugger was arrested and taken to the hospital for what turned out to be a severe concussion. [ His assault ended with his head being introduced to a brick wall.]
Turns out there was an arrest warrant out for him for assault on a police officer in Tacoma. [ two-time felony loser that has spent the majority of his adult life behind bars.] Two days later, after medically cleared to travel, he was sent back to Tacoma and transferred to the County Sheriff’s custody. Two days after that, there was a mess-up in paper work and he was accidentally freed…, Taking full advantage of the situation he made a run for the border., where he tried to cross into Mexico from Texas.
That didn’t work out too well., and as he was being detained, he got into a fight with the ICE agents. He is now being held on federal felony charges on two counts of aggravated assault on a federal officer, Won’t be seeing him for a while.
My solution was much simpler, easier, cost effective, less paper-work and much more expedient.., [ a much better “Business Model”.] but, it is also highly frowned upon in modern society.
Modern society does have its draw-backs and limitations. There is something to be said for ‘frontier justice’ in a society that can revert back to savagery by simply walking down the street.
Let’s be careful out there folks.., it’s getting a bit crazy.
I’ve had a few incidents over the last few years or so that required confrontation and a touch of frontier justice. Without swift and obvious response, bad guys will keep coming back. At least two of them are incarcerated – for now. When seconds count, law enforcement is only a couple of hours away. That’s one of the challenges of living in a rural area. It’s not their fault – covering thousands of square miles with a handful of officers has its limits.
I attribute the increase in incidents partly to the Fourth Turning and partly to the woke idiocy. Of course, one may have triggered the other.
Same conditions here – County Sheriff is the only law around, and they cover a very large area. Response time is growing., but it’s not their fault – budget constraints limit even the most willing of officers.
keeping in mind Jorge sponsored DA’s in demonrat cities around country are letting all scumbags pass Go, while they collect $$. I’m writing this on a Windows 7 machine, since I haven’t had time to upgrade my crashed Windows 8 machine to Mint. The only expense for that is for a new SSD and lots of time to recover files(done) and installing the SSD and Mint.
George, if you want to stretch your tech skills, you might install an array of OS’s that are virtualized. Think Kali, Ubuntu, WinXX, Mint, OS/2, and any others that matter to you. “Equality means “same starting blocks.” Equity means regardless of who’s the winner in the footrace of Life, they will have their prizes stolen from them.”
The die was cast a long time ago.
When I was in my youth, I played a lot of team sports. When playoff time came, there was one winner and several losers. The winners got a trophy and the losers did not. The losers congratulated the winners and went home knowing they did their best and to try again next year.
When my kids played team sports, I tried to go to every game and cheer them on. When playoff time came, there was one winner and one runner up. The winner got a big trophy and the runner up got a smaller trophy. The two teams shook hands and went home.
When my grandkids played team sports, I tried to go to every game and cheer them on. I noticed very early that the effort was not quite at the same level as when I or my kids played. When playoff time came and was over, every team got a “participation” trophy, all the same size. All winners, no losers or is it all losers, no winners. Equity!
AMEN
Its the same here with my grandkids..and kids..

Entanglement Theories for sending information across the universe with NO time lag are now coming to the fore. Early versions of it now appear to already be in use for some military communications.
The Long and short is it requires a person to do a complete rethinking of “Time” “Space” “Speed” and “Distance”. I will refer you to the show listed below since for me to describe the actual science would be like asking a Citizen of Athens Greece at the time of their Wars with Sparta to describe a smart phone of today is and what it does.
Last night NOVA (on PBS) had an entire program on the issue of Entanglement Theory and it’s current practical implications. GREAT program to start to understand the basics of Entangement Theory (at least as it is currently understood)
IF you have a ROKU box, or other type of similar device, and have signed up for the FREE account with your local PBS station you can watch the recently broadcast NOVA programs for free (ditto their Frontline programs).
Since this strange science is now moving into the everyday REAL world, though not for us everyday folks yet, it is worth a watch … and if you do you will find that it really challenge your beliefs wrt “Time” “Distance” “Space” “Speed”.

Re: “The Division Industry”
feat. multiplication
Folks,
AfricaNews brings words of praise offered by touring USA VP Harris to the first woman president of Tanzania and who is democratically elected. AfricaNews is operationally based in in the Congo, formerly the French colony of Equitorial Guineau, where the ruling Bantu tribe still allegedly practices slavery. AfricaNews hq is in Lyon, France and apparently 88% owned by a Portuguese entity with affable links to the ruling Hungarian Administration. Moving from division to multiplication, five Tanzanians have had fatal outcomes in a current Marburg virus outbreak with three others under treatment. Africa CDC has deployed.
Meanwhile one day after the USA virtual Summit for Democracy unplugged, Hainan Island in South China hosted a packed hall of international delegates for the annual Biao Conference. It was opened by the director of the IMF. Later the president of Ivory Coast praised the benefits of the belt&road initiative and “brotherly ties between Europe, Asia and Africa”.
Hello, George,
Back on Thanksgiving Day, 2009, I emailed you a dream that I had.
I also had entered it into the Dream website you had at the time, but, unfortunately that one day, you had a computer glitch and my dream was lost. That was the more detailed version.
I, have over the years, resent that email to you once or twice to remind you about it. I have also documented it here, in the comment section, a few times since 2009.
Today, I searched my sent box, and inbox, and that dream and all emails to/from you have been removed from my yahoo email address by the fancy domestic or partnered international spy keepers that easily go in and out of ALL our private information willingly.
Now, let’s think on this: WHY did they feel the need to remove my innocent dream emails to you?
Does anyone have an answer to that?
So, here it is again, I had wanted to copy the exact words so this will have to suffice.
In a dream, I woke up, just like a normal day, all was as it is in the waking state, no difference. I walked down the hall to the front door, opened it, and my mail box hung there on the right hand side of the outside wall. In it, was a newspaper.
I took the newspaper out and opened it up, on the front page, in HUGE, BOLD BLACK LETTERING, were these words:
AMERICA’S TRADING PARTNERS DROP THE DOLLAR.
the byline:
CHINA AND RUSSIA DROP THE DOLLAR AS THE WORLD RESERVE CURRENCY.
Then, the dream morphed to showing a paper doll, like the kind you can make with rolled paper for the legs, arms, neck, torso, and this allows paper joints and paper shoes. On this Paper Doll(ar)s neck was a Platinum colored Doll’s head.
Then, this Paper Doll put on a Gold(en) dress material, and it descended over the Paper Doll Body to the floor.
Also, there was another scene of cards, and gray rabbits.
I took this to mean exactly what the bold letters stated about our trading partners dropping the dollar and China and Russia dropping the dollar as the world reserve currency, and that gold would descend over paper dollars, and that platinum would be at the head.
The timing appeared to be around Easter as it was Easter Cards and rabbits go with Easter.
Of course, this has never happened.
However, what do your readers think of this dream?

BTW, dump Yahoo! In 2004, they censored my anti-Bush emails by not sending them at all or else deleting attachments. None were threatening or vulgar–mostly just cartoons. I switched to Fastmail (then owned by someone in Australia) after first asking if they censored emails. I’ve had no problems of any sort with them in the ensuing 27 years.
The “Net nerds” dumped Yahoo before that. As a y2k “gift,” Yahoo invented the concept that every byte you stored on their servers became their property — IOW they owned your E-Mail, attachments, and any web content they hosted. That “concept” is a part of the TOS at Hotmail, Gmail, and many other Web-based E-Mail providers now, but Yahoo was first.
I was deep in the security community at the time, and between destroying Alta Vista and claiming ownership of the intellectual property of their millions of users, Yahoo went to the top of all of our shitlists and I, for one, never forgave them. Unless I’m following a news link, the only time I EVER go there is to Yahoo Finance…
