Rails Settle – Retail Out – Number Munching Thursday

Word that the national Rail Strike had been averted was the big story here early today.  Has us looking at a possible upside pop today and wondering “Is this a ‘Be Long or Wrong’ moment for traders?”

A lot of other data has landed, though.  Let’s roll through them:

Retail Sales

This one is the psychological lynchpin.  And, as you know, we have been watching the dynamic that develops when inflation is afoot:  To what degree will people buy-forward, realizing that with 8.3 YoY inflation things will likely cost more – lots more- in the future?  Today, a partial answer:

“Advance estimates of U.S. retail and food services sales for August 2022, adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes, were $683.3 billion, an increase of 0.3 percent (±0.5 percent)* from the previous month, and 9.1 percent (±0.7 percent) above August 2021. Total sales for the June 2022 through August 2022 period were up 9.3 percent (±0.5 percent) from the same period a year ago.

Big Box stores and onliner’s will be using this as input into Christmas sales forecasts.  Christmas is in 102 days from now (101 to hit Christmas Eve).

Import-Export Prices

Again, another closely-watched indicator.  Thanks to the recent strength of the US Buck (and the mess Europe has made of things) we expected some moderation, especially with falling oil prices:

“The price index for U.S. imports declined 1.0 percent in August and 1.5 percent in July, the first time import prices have decreased in consecutive months since February, March, and April 2020. Prices for U.S. imports advanced 7.8 percent for the year ended in August, the smallest 12-month increase since the index rose 7.1 percent from March 2020 to March 2021.

Fuel Imports: Import fuel prices decreased 6.8 percent in August, after a 7.5-percent decline the previous month. The declines in August and July were the first consecutive 1-month drops since the index decreased
in October and September 2020. Despite the recent declines, import fuel prices rose 48.5 percent from August 2021 to August 2022. Lower petroleum prices in August, down 7.1 percent, led the decrease in fuel
prices. The decline followed a 6.9-percent drop in July and was the largest monthly decrease since petroleum prices fell 7.7 percent in December 2021. Natural gas prices also declined in August, decreasing 2.8 percent, after falling 20.4 percent in July. The price indexes for petroleum and natural gas each increased over the past year, rising 48.1 percent and 66.5 percent, respectively.”

We expect that the Oil prices will move up as soon as the election is done, so we’ve got the attitude “Enjoy it while you can, sport.”

Empire State Manufacturing

First of two Fed regions to put on their look-ahead spec’s and tell us how they see future arriving:

“Business activity held steady in New York State, according to firms responding to the September 2022 Empire State Manufacturing Survey. The headline general business conditions index climbed thirty points to -1.5. New orders edged higher, and shipments increased sharply. Delivery times held steady, and inventories expanded. Labor market indicators pointed to a modest increase in employment and no change in the average workweek”

This isn’t the only District-level view out today.  there’s also the…

Philly Fed Report

This one doesn’t usually contradict the NY Fed outlook:

“Manufacturing activity in the region declined overall in September, according to the firms responding to this month’s Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey. The indicator for current activity returned to negative territory, the new orders index remained negative, and the shipments index also declined but remained positive. The firms reported continued increases in employment. The price indexes continue to indicate increases in prices overall. Expectations for growth over the next six months were subdued, as the future general activity index improved but remained negative.”

Between these two forward-looking reports, you can hedge your bets on whether the Fed will deliver a half, three-quarters, or a full one percent rate hike at 2 PM (Eastern time) Wednesday of next week.

UKR-UFO’s — Seriously Worrying

Just listen for a minute because while this sounds nuts…

We start with the story out that Ukraine’s Astronomers Say There Are Tons of UFOs Over Kyiv (vice.com).  Key part to take note of is when this flurry of activity actually started.  It’s not clear.

The story goes on a bit about how these might be UFOs under control of the US government.  But seems to us, that’s a crock.  The reason is?  There is not a lot of military concern about Kiev.  Rather, if there was a military aspect to this, it  would be the likelihood of the UFO sightings being more adjacent to actual fighting.

What we find TERRIBLY WORRYING is that Kiev could be a nuclear target in the near future.

Our reasoning is quite simple:  UFOs are a common event ahead of major earthquakes.  In fact, there’s a book on Amazon )”UFOs, Earthquakes and the Straight Line Mystery: The Answer to the UFO Enigma“) where some of the evidence is collected.  I don’t personally agree on the author’s view of the cause, however.

To my way of looking at the data, it’s more likely related to portaling phenomena and, as a results, when we have things like (possible) UFO near the Trinity site (Roswell case) as well as major quakes (earthquake lights?) then we might want to consider that just as the 2004 sightings came ahead of the Banda Aceh quake, then so too, the worry here is that UFOs could be coming to look at the area where a dimensional shift is likely (earthquakes and nukes may be involved).

Seems to us, the appearance over Kiev could be a prequel to a nuke in the ‘hood and something to be very much concerned about as time rolls along.

Various and Sundry

Sundry: (n) “Various items not important enough to be mentioned individually.”

The Migrant Dumping Wars are on.  First, Texas shipping illegals to New York.  Then, New York shipped some to Florida.  Then presidential hopeful governor DeSantis got serious: Ron DeSantis ships 2 planes of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard (nypost.com).

The Case for Big Caliber guns: Hunter attacked by moose after attempting to bow-hunt it.

Speaking of Hunters, the Kid Cover Ups continue:  Judge won’t force disclosure of records on alleged episode with Hunter Biden’s gun.Special People, Special Treatment: Which part of the judge in this being appointed by a democrat (Barack O), surprises you?

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden trying to lower child support for 4-year-old love child.  Did he give too much to Pops?

Mah-Mah-Mah-My Fiona: (An old man  riff off My Sharona, the Knack, 1979)

Say, wouldn’t this be an ideal time to set up and own a kite shop on Grand Turk, maybe a short walk from the Kitina?  Meantime, I was shocked (speaking of Turks and Caicos) that one of my haunts on Providenciales  when we were setting up jet service there in ’84, or so, was learning the Third Turtle Inn was no longer providing the best tourist view of the small fleet of Cigarette boats running “agricultural products” into the Florida Keys from points south badck then.  Magic times, the eighties, in the Caribbean… Like living on the fringes of Miami Vice sometimes. (All night long. L. Ritchie, 1983).  Lunch at Christy’s in Boca, anyone?

Speaking of riffs:  Are we the only ones to notice the Queen’s burial Monday will come on International Talk Like a Pirate Day?

ATR:  The 7-hour Roof

Great crew (all five) who put the new roof on our old trailer in the woods Wednesday.  It was like watching choreography how the shingles went from ground level up to the roof:

One worker would get a bundle, shoulder it and up the ladder.  As soon as he was loaded, a second worker on the ground (resting) would pick up his load to follow.  While the first worker got on the roof with his bundle, another worker already on the roof would come down.  He’d become the new stand-by to come down.

As the shingle laden worker took his bundle to the right spot, the fifth worker moved in queue to the ladder, and the process repeated like that, with the worker having dropped his bundle in place came back to stand for his place going back down for another load.

It was really useful to watch.  Absolute team work.

We tend to forget, I think, on American construction projects in particular, that in the end, it all comes down to humans doing things.  Anymore, construction sites (especially on big data centers and the like) tend to having too many people with noses in computers, tripping over each-other’s dick and just ruining good work by making upo bullshit/useless reports and “supervising” people they’re wholly unqualified to either judge or work with.

Reminded me that human labor is what counts.  Not reports in Excel or pages of change orders in Project.

Watching the work going on as a whole roof *(down to the decking and with new membranes and vents) all happened in an Amazing 7-hour stretch.  All helped by usiung a 10-gallon add-on air tank so that when the nailing began, there was always plenty of air and no waiting on anything.

Even the cleanup was minimal.  Because the crew backed the 16-foot high-rise trailer right up to the sidewall.  As things came off the roof, they didn’t go on the ground – right into the dump rig.

When I see crews like that, I sometimes think that before today’s “project managers” should be allowed on ANY worksite, they should be required to reach senior apprentice or journeyman status first.  THEN when you go to school, the theory will make a lot more sense.  Remember, I didn’t bother with my first college degree until age 37, or so.  I was the “come up on the working side” and have a ton of respect for anyone who does.  Because they can handle a hammer, read a plan, and  actually make shit happen.

Not saying all project managers are bad.  But mostly, my first-hand experience is that they’re on scene only because the shitheads in HR hire based on politics and checkboxes instead of teamwork and getting the job done.  I was the “contracting company” boss on a lot of construction projects.  I made it a practice to do my (other, real) management job and only go to the sites being built once or twice a week, and then it was only for decisions the end-user/customer needed to make.  Maybe move a light which didn’t look right on the plans.

I stayed the hell out of the way and let the journey do he journey.  Next time you hear about late and over budget on any project?  Count the number of managers.  If more than 1 per 20 real workers, something’s off.  Yesterday, my “project management” duties consisted of 2-minutes lining out where NOT to run the truck over the septic field and a few words about my ladders.

Pappy always told me in his firefighting days, a 3 (sometimes 4) man engine company didn’t need a “supervisor” – they needed another hand on an inch-and-a-half to knock down the fire. Oftentimes, too many chiefs and not enough hoses on the fire.

We live in hope for change but looks like a long shot.

Write when you get rich,

  1. Shitheads in HR, how appropriate. Bunch of knuckleheads.
Lots of work this time of year in prep for deer season getting stock moved to safer areas. In the meantime the 2 herds are combined and run through the squeeze chute for checkups before being deployed to their safer pastures meaning both Barney and Andy are available to all the ladies. Andy is more of the lounge lizard type so he seems to be moving around quite a bit while Barney, being the more Tony Bennet type just stays cool until Andy gets too frisky and has to be put in his place.
If the herds had an HR department I suppose both Barney and Andy would be facing sexual harassment, or lack thereof, complaints that could result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
And the answer is “No”. The only issues with HR I ever had was for calling a supervisor a dumbass and the one time I left a recruit at a corner because he would not stop picking his nose in the car.
    Stay safe. 73

  2. Well, darn. I was hoping the rail workers would go on strike., at least for a couple of weeks – a real “wake-up” call.., looks like that won’t happen.

  3. I heard that the Ukraine has been reporting that Russian soldiers were running away from (areas) as the Ukrainians advanced … but they captured no one … was it that the Ukrainians couldn’t catch them as they ran or, we’re they just gone? (Heads up? Moved out of the areas?) I’m not at all saying “abduction” Not at all.

And now, UFOs are there, in numbers. (???) WTF?

I’ve always felt there was a connection Russia has with ETs. Weather it be found engineering or, “I know a guy”. Ya know?

I also heard Putin was having an important meeting, after his 8(?) buddies fell to their deaths mysteriously. (Something about strikes where decisions were made.) And then, I’ll be damned, UFOs show up.

Lots of coincidences. But I don’t believe much in those.

    Somebody’s pissed off.

Just dreaming about what could be.

  4. Glad your roof is done!! AND that YOU weren’t climbing around up there doing it yourself!

I will have have to politely disagree with you wrt project managers on BIG projects though.

Without ON SITE project managers on a billion dollar build, or even $200 million build, the carefully choreographed process will get hiccups and suddenly plumbers are waiting on electrictions and the drywall guys are waiting on both. The guys in the 200′ overhead cranes are watching the clouds go bye while the steel workers are sitting on steel versus putting it in place and connecting it or hanging outer wall pieces. Every day’s slippage caused by little hiccups during the week adds literally millions to a big project’s cost. ON SITE project managers are a MUST for those BIG projects where multiple skill sets are working simultaneously.

I AM surprised that on your roof job they were using manual labor to carry the shingles up to the roof. Around here that disappeared long ago even for very small jobs. Here they all use a conveyor that carries the shingle bundles up (like farmers use to carry bales of hay up to hay lofts) or use a high lift forklift to lift half pallets up to the roof. (wage rates are higher here … so maybe that is why that process was automated here long ago).

Glad to know that you now some night you won’t be lying in bed suddenly looking up at the stars or getting a surprise shower!!

    • Speaking of working on roofs, and being on ladders, my father never wore a ring after a guy he knew, that was on a ladder, lost his balance and tried to grab onto the building, but there was a nail sticking out enough that it caught his ring finger, so besides falling off the ladder, his finger got torn off. Ugh.

      • Yeah I was changing a battery on a D9 years ago , about 40 ago . Damn thing shorted to my wedding ring . Told other half you have it . Never again

      • Story I heard from a transmitter manufacturing plant, working on a 50v DC supply at several hundred amps, distributed across the PA racks backplane with copper buss bars. You could touch the 50v rails and not normally feel anything. Until one tech got his ring finger across a couple bars. The resulting arc weld cauterized his finger clean off.

  5. 10 year bond is at a 10 year high this morning – that’s gonna bite down hard on someone’s bottom line. ., and when the fed raises rates 3/4., or a full 1 %? Guess it could be the trigger for the recession to go full steam ahead.., wouldn’t want a variable rate mortgage right now.

  6. “We start with the story out that Ukraine’s Astronomers Say There Are Tons of UFOs Over Kyiv (vice.com). Key part to take note of is when this flurry of activity actually started. ”

I think of the story about the Watchers.. and all through history.. they have been monitoring our nuclear capabilities.. now we may not care about our planet.. or our leaders may not care about the people or our resources.. but this is not a common planet.. most of them are hundreds of millions of light years away.. so.. DO they come in and shut it all down if we are going to get studpid..
and maybe this is the reason why it hasn’t gone nuclear already.. good lord knows that JB , Democrats and the family business shure seems to be pushing for one.. with Us in the wake of the global destruction they desire.. all over a stupid number on a sheet of paper mind you.. that takes brilliance.. they should be living the Dao or the ways of confucius.. instead their wants are the driving forces..

LOL what a Piece of Shizt ( POS ) in my honest opinon and he will get away with it and get his child support lowered so that the kid goes without.. Look the allegations that he has been accused of.. and photo and documents published.. passcodes to the most sensitive materials the USA has.. and all the perversions that he posted videos of himself..

      • “there are worse, IMHO.”

Oh I totally believe that that is true.. but my god.. What a depraved perverted drug addicted POS its all so bad that its actually funny that no one is willing to even question any of it…… what has been alleged makes any decent man sick to his stomach to even think about what they have done or are doing…and stop and imagine.. what if.. Trump had given away the TOP SECRET passcodes to the DOD site with access to everything to foreign agents or drug or human traffickers.. what would everyone be saying Trump had a few documents in a safe and protected by secret service and they were talking about execution..
        https://www.nationalreview.com/news/sounds-about-right-ex-cia-chief-michael-hayden-implies-trump-should-be-executed-for-taking-classified-docs/
if it was DJT or anyone else that even tried to do one one thousandth of what the family business has been alleged of having done or is doing you wouldn’t hear an end to any of it..remember four years of trump patted a legal aged woman on the azz.and had sex with a sex worker… not one word about the incest or pedophilia corrupt business dealings and drug issues that have been alleged or the thousands of photos and videos showing the depth of the depraved mind.. or giving access to the nations most sensitive materials to some one while in a drug induced state.. there would be some serious consequences to be paid over any of that..

      • “there are worse, IMHO”

YES there are and when they are caught.. they are safely locked away from the public.. in mental hospitals and prisons..and they are put away for a fraction of what the POS posted himself on porn sites..
and think about it.. these are the issues that are being discussed at the coffee houses truck stops and restaurants and in public groups the nation wide..Not just a few..that is why I want to run for office.. just remember a vote for me is a vote for NONE OFTHE ABOVE and VP Big Daddy YUM YUM
People do have a heart and realize that a father has no control over what a child does.. but instead of letting the child face his choices.. they cover them over and pretend they don’t exist..

      • Really? Somebody purportedly bangs a bunch of preteens, including his own niece, and you want social clemency because (AFAWK) he didn’t kill any of ’em…?

    • “LOL what a Piece of Shizt ( POS ) in my honest opinon and he will get away with it and get his child support lowered”

      I hope so.

For this to happen, he’ll have to present his income and outgo documentation…

      {Big Evil Grin}

      • “he’ll have to present his income and outgo documentation…”

The problem with that is also a common issue with executives nation wide and the countries tax laws.. like Trump that shows an income of 10 thousand a year.. ho we much of that is hidden..
One woman I worked with got a divorce from her husband that made 4 mil a year but showed an income if 400 a month.. she didn’t get any child support.. my grand daughter is faced with t he same thing no we. Her husband is self employed.. he hasn’t given any support at all

      • Um, the only actual Trump 1040 I’ve ever seen a facsimile of showed him reporting a taxable income of $189 million.

      • “a facsimile of showed him reporting a taxable income of $189 million.”

I didn’t even see a facsimile.. just some news story .. more than likely similar to the russian collusion story that was really a democratic russian collusion story made up to discredit him..
I do know that is a big thing here though for CEOS and execs.. I worked one place where all the boss’s homes were owned by the company and so were their cars and campers etc.. money is tied up in the company even the gas they use.. the woman I worked with.. she got forty bucks a month.. my grand daughter not one dime.. oh wait he did buy a small pack of diapers in June..

      • “I do know that is a big thing here though for CEOS and execs..”

It IS, and I know it. You have to get into the mindset where it is okay to not personally own stuff, and it’s okay because “the company” owns it and you have full use for as long as the company remains solvent.

I could never get into that mindset. Even though I didn’t pull more than a “middle class income,” living in such a “company structure” has had its tax advantages for at least the last 50 years, even for folks of modest income — provided they could embrace the mindset and do the tax forms.

  8. The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates four times – we are still over 8% inflation [ Fed target is 2%] and at 40 year highs.
“A major Fed rate hike risks deflation,” Elon Musk
Chief economist and Global Strategist Peter Schiff disagrees ” A major rate hike by the Fed risks hyperinflation. Higher debt service costs, a severe recession, exploding Federal budget deficits, and collapsing asset prices will produce a worse financial crisis than 2008. The Fed will respond with massive QE [quantitative easing], tanking the dollar and sending consumer prices soaring,”
One other economist agrees., adding that unemployment will spike upwards, the housing market will collapse, retail prices will climb dramatically and agrees that “.., the modest recession we are currently in will heat up creating the pain that chairman warned about.”

  9. Somewhere there’s kid whose mom is a stripper and whose dad is a crackhead…and their grandfather is the worst president in the history of this country.

    • “Somewhere there’s kid whose mom is a stripper and whose dad is a crackhead…and their grandfather is the worst president in the history of this country.”

What will the child say when asked.. who is my granpa and who is my dad.. and will grandpa pay any attention to the child..
I use to drive truck.. anyway on the trip there was a local farmer that had some hogs.. one particular hog kept getting loose.. dam it was always out.. well one day.. I was driving back to the garage and there is this guys hog running like hell down the road.. I parked the truck and drove back to tell him his hog was out..
he looked at me.. then at his hog pen.. and as calmly as he could said.. THATS NOT MY HOG… so will that be what the child tells someone.. No thats not my grandpa.. or I don’t have a father.. will the kid get free college to.. the kid deserves something out of this mess..

  10. Aki-An and the First Formers and Monitors are not interested in our feeble and early futzing around with mere nuclear fission and fusion. This is Kid Stuff.

BUT certain aspects of nuclear reactions emit “signals” into adjacent dimensions, and act as an alarm for all the truly advanced civilizations that Earthlings are just beginning to gasp at the threads of Type2 and Type3 power and energy sources — which DO pose a potential threat to the more advanced races.

Earthers are like a three-year old toddler alone in a roomful of colorful toys and no supervision, holding a loaded .45 with the safety off, cocked, and one in the pipe. A source of Chaos.

(The real reason SETI has been unproductive is that the Formers have no need for such a quaint and antiquated system as “radio,” and have something much better. We no longer use semaphore or smoke signals. Same thing.)

  11. I wouldn’t bet against the dems cutting a deal with the railroads, say a big tax break or something, hidden in a bill , to make up for the big rate raise. Oh , and what is increased rail rates going to do for inflation? Just a high school grad asking a stupid question.

  12. Tsk, tsk. Such a to-do with hunters getting stripped of their assets these days. Of course in the olden times of 1936 while romancing the heir to King-Emperor of England & Dominions, Mrs. Simpson’s first husband was being knighted by Italy’s Benito Mussolini. Well, onwards and tally-ho into another God Bless Scotland moment.

Upon the American socialite spurred English constitutional crisis, the curtained mists of time perhaps have somewhat drawn about the late Queen Elizabeth II being more than a touch Scottish by virtue of her mother, daughter of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kingmore. The family seat was Glamis Castle, site of the passing of King Malcolm II in 1034. He had apparently more or less united Scotland after defeating the Angles at the Battle of Carham at age 64 and marrying a daughter to the Viking Sigurd the Stout.

It seems rather a slam dunk that the new monarch would share the name of the last two Scottish House of Stuart Kings to rule England in the 17th century. Unfortunately both were destined to leave their heads and this realm upon blocks in London bracketing the Republic and the Third Civil War. The eldest of the Second’s 11 illegitimate children was unable to regain the crown in the intrigues of the day. Fear not, third time is the charm? God save the King!

Okay, time to catch up with DJ George charting up the hits. Light up the incense and mirrorball, let loose the dancers, as we reach back into future psychelia with Pink Floyd-

  13. My dad’s best friend was a part-time roofing contractor in Pasadena, Texas. When I was in junior high & high school (late 70s/early 80s), he’d ask my dad for help on occasion, and my brother and I would be ‘volunteered’. The four of us would show up early on a Saturday and we’d lean sheets of plywood against the house to keep the old shingles from dropping in the flowerbeds and would scrape off the old shingles. If possible, the trailer was parked next to the house. My dad had rigged up an platform lift using a telescoping ladder, a go-cart motor, and some welding know-how, and that contraption raised 4-5 bundles of shingles at a time. My brother and I would unload the shingles and spread the bundles out over the roof. Once the shingles were loaded, the two adults did the roofing, and the two kids loaded the old shingles onto the trailer and cleaned up the yard. The roofing was usually finished by early afternoon, and the work day ended with a trip to the dump. We didn’t stop for lunch. At the end of the day, my brother and I had some spending money, and to this day we have an appreciation for working hard and getting things done.

  14. An October 1987 type of nonlinearity?

    Current Fractal analysis.

Global assets including housing are grossly and historically overvalued relative to prevailing total debt loads and prevailing interest rates, the latter which have been increased at a historical pace by central banks to combat consumer inflation which was caused by grossly both too low and too long low of interest rates and by the central bank’s underwriting of mortgage backed securities.

From its March 2020 lows, the valuation hegemonic composite Wilshire (and Bitcoin) qualitatively appreciated to 8 November 2021, at which time both consumer inflation was evident and the central bank’s required response to that inflation was evident.

Gold’s valuation in US dollars today collapsed to a 2 year low. Gold bears no interest, unlike the one year US treasury currently earning 3.8275 % at the end of today’s trading day.

Quantitatively for the Wllshire a 33/66 week first and second fractal is observable from the March 2020 low ending 24 January 2022. From this low a 31/72/63 day fractal is observable. The current 63 day fractal started on 16 June 2022 and consists of a 19//(9/20/18 of ?20) or 19/45 of ? 47 day fractal.

Is it possible that a 1987 type of nonlinear asset devaluation event will occur over the next 2 equivalent trading days for equities, crypto’s, and commodities including gold?

  15. The UFOs are so regular and plentiful we have to trust grainy .gov pics. I don’t want to discount UFOs but where is all the armature cell footage?

  16. DeSantis is shipping illegals deep into the U.S.

Is that really helpful? We get, “DeSantis is really going to show the richies up north.” But in is in.

Not to say illegals are sewage… if your main sewage line was backing-up would you snap pipes to it and send sewage into the upper rooms? Would the spouse cheer you on?

People cheer for him. Once the illegal is in, no matter the route they’re here forever.

    • DeSantis’ policy and action are not the cause of the illegal aliens being present in the United States. Martha’s Vineyard is a “sanctuary” for illegal aliens. My understanding is that means they welcome and provide for them. Florida, Texas, and Arizona are not sanctuary States. My understanding is that means Illegal aliens are not welcome.

ISTM it is a “win-win” when the governor of a place where illegal aliens are unwelcome totes the note to send them to places where they are welcome.

The commies on the teevee “news” shows are whining because Abbott and DeSantis are engaging in a political stunt by sending 3/4 of a percent of one day’s invasion force to places which welcome these invaders.

Not a one has mentioned the political stunt the Biden Administration is pulling, by assisting between 7000-8000 invaders EVERY FRICKIN’ DAY for nearly 600 days now, to illegally cross our Southern border.

      • Ray, this is what’s crazy to me.

WHY does anyone have to explain the difference between Biden’s OPEN BORDER agenda with DeSantis or Abbott’s transferring of illegals in sanctuary cities and states.

IF THEY ARE GOING TO TALK IT, THEY MAY AS WELL WALK IT. (The sanctuary cities and states.)

And with regards to Obama’s, Soros’s, and other multi multi gazillionaire’s headquarters in Martha’s Vinyards, they shipped out those illegals ASAP; with all sorts of ridiculous reasons.

Those sanctuary cities cannot hack it, they are not only incompetent, hypocrites of the highest order, but ninCONpoops as well.

Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, we have been under ASSAULT for decades, this year the worst.

Maybe we will have a THIRD PARTY; the NEWBIE Party, or the MIGRANT party, or the IMMIGRANT party to compete with the RePUKERS and the DemonCrappers.

THE AGENDA is full steam ahead to destroy the United States of America, NEVER FORGET THAT what you are watching with your own eyes is TRANSFORMATION (promised by Obama), and DESTRUCTION as evidenced by Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, et al’s ACTIONS.

        • Totally with you on a “you talk it, you walk it” and so every time Texas gets over a certain border jump to loegal pop ratio, the excess should be divided amongst the states all EQUAL like.
This is the spew from the wokies, right?
Washington DC, Westchester, Hamptons – yessir, they need homeless like Gruesome is trying to topic-change out in the once golden state…
Gruesome is looking for face time. Abbott’s just an honest attorney pursing equality for all. Even if inconvenient in Messychusetts.

      • “WHY does anyone have to explain the difference between Biden’s OPEN BORDER agenda with DeSantis or Abbott’s transferring of illegals in sanctuary cities and states.”

Because it is an election year, and the vast majority of Americans who vote are notoriously low-information voters who are singularly lacking in attention-span.
        _______

“IF THEY ARE GOING TO TALK IT, THEY MAY AS WELL WALK IT.”

Um, no. Their talk is never based in truth or reality, and they never expect to be “called” on a lie.
        _______

“And with regards to Obama’s, Soros’s, and other multi multi gazillionaire’s headquarters in Martha’s Vinyards, they shipped out those illegals ASAP; with all sorts of ridiculous reasons.”

Now, if’fn you stop to think about this: A few days ago, the Gruesome one called on the DOJ to investigate DeSantis for “human trafficking.”

        Both Abbott and DeSantis are getting a signed affidavit from each “traveler,” attesting to the fact they really want to go to {wherever the bus is taking them.}

I wonder if the racists in charge of Chicago and Martha’s Vineyard are getting signed paperwork from the folks they’re sending to internment camps on military bases…?
        _______

“I am thinking Lara Logan has an interesting twist.”

Not new, and too narrow. The EU was the first step. The idea is to form a North American Union, an Asian Union, an African Union, a South American Union, then merge North and South America, Europe and Africa, Asia and Australia. Read 1984…

Lara Logan is really sharp and a really good IJ. She has been shot, raped, and blown-up, to get a story. She has friends and contacts in every shithole on Earth, including the one in which most of us live, so I have little doubt she also has contacts at the UN. I miss seeing her. FOXNews bumped her to online only after she dared spring a truth leak. I DID notice OAN has a better makeup artist than FOX…

  17. Folks,
Everyone delighted to hear Mr. Biden’s electrifying announcement yesterday at the Detroit Auto Show? Just like your smartphone, ev’s will have deals on chargers when you purchase. It’s only a $900 million subsidy. What’s that, 5 bucks per working American? Sorry I misunderstood before and thought they were giving out Lincolns. My bad. Don’t give up hope, maybe lightning will strike before voting day and they’ll be handing out Benjamins.

      • LOL .. that is something I get a chuckle out of.. How they pose just one small issue.. or one small print a thon.. and say see its just a five dollar bill… LOL at eight percent interest..
Dam I can’t find the study I read.. that basically said that for the deficit to be paid back.. ( without any new money printed on the national budget.. ) in a five year period would be roughly a quarter million a second for every man woman and child in the USA.and that figure didn’t even take into account compounding interest.. since that was a month or more ago that I read that.. my guess is it is a lot more by now…. LOL LOL that last little bit that was printed up to give to Ukraine was five million per person.. and that doesn’t even get to the money printed up to build back better.. LOL LOL LOL that hasn’t done one thing LOL LOL LOL

  18. I had an amazing crew install my (leased) solar PV system. The company flew them over from Oahu… Honolulu… to do installs in the rural boondocks of the Big Island. Five people. Licensed electrician was the group supervisor. He had two wiring assistants on the ground. The roof crew was two gals with tools (no jokes here) who installed the roof frames and panels. They showed up early and fresh from the hotel and attacked the job like a symphony. Well before noon they were finished, and talking about where to have lunch, and what to spend the afternoon doing… tour the volcano, maybe? Apparently they are assigned one job per day and are so efficient they are able to spend afternoons being leisure tourists on a neighbor island. It was a well paid working vacation for them.

    • Phew.. I never could wrap my mind around why someone would lease a system rather than buy one..

If your lease is fifty bucks a month.. then you pay out six hundred a year.. times ten years.. the system is paid for considering the rebates for it.. if you live in a state that has state rebates.. your even further ahead..
I paid a considerable higher chunck of change for mine ..( they hadn’t come down then.. ten bucks a watt.. ) and it paid for itself in five years..

      • ” I never could wrap my mind around why someone would lease a system rather than buy one..”

1.) I didn’t have the cash outlay to buy outright. Nor to support a debt mortgage on the system.

2.) My lease payments supply me with more electricity than I get from the grid for that price. It’s cheap juice, and getting cheaper as the oil and grid prices go soaring.

3.) I have no maintenance costs. Has turned into a godsend now that the lease company is on the hook to replace a bad, defective battery… maybe $10k? And now they are unobtainium.

So there’s my big three points to wrap your head around. It has made sound economic sense for me, and keeps getting better.

Oh, yeah, I didn’t have to deal with all the grid tie paperwork and permits, either.

  19. Perhaps as a child you had a pet dog. Did you ever get the dog to chase it’s tail?

“Chase your tail! Chase your tail!

“A top medical journal at the heart of several pandemic-related controversies published a major COVID-19 Commission report Wednesday that concluded the deadly pathogen might possibly have leaked from a United States laboratory.”

  20. My island electric bill arrived. Stable at $0.554/KWH same as last month. Prior was $0.5625. My overall bill was lower with many good solar days this month knocking it down.

  21. So, I hear a couple of busloads of unexpected illegal immigrant guests showed up in the Washington, DC neighborhood of the VP and the second gentleman. Other hopefuls were delivered to the upscale Martha’s Vineyard setting. Are you feeling a Katherine Hepburn flashback too? “I brought you the latest bulletin. Guess who’s coming to dinner now?”
