China Goes Hot – Dream Season Arrives – Artist Notes

Much to cover, but not a lot of really exciting headlines…yet.

Those will be along tomorrow, when, for example, Mr. Banker – Jerome Powell – speaks.  But it’s only the start of the week’s entertainment:  ADP jobs Wednesday, Challenger Job Cuts Thursday, and the happily estimated federal jobs report Friday.  All “What could go wrong?”

Pivot to Another War

A bitter headline today and we’re not sure what’s behind it.

But, to read China increases its military budget by $230BN amid fears it will launch an invasion of Taiwan at the same time Ukraine is reported to have lost a key city, tells us the “contagion of war” is going global.

As we’ve reported many times, anyone reading the “Coast Pilot” about ship navigation of the Taiwan Straits reminds us that late April through early June being the calmest times for crossings.  A date China is no doubt aware of, and given the U.S. distraction in Huntkraine, I mean Ukraine, what better time to foreclose and reunify could there be?

Our concerns are amplified for several reasons.  First, we heard from one of our “well-placed sources” that rank and file PLA soldiers are throwing hand grenades.  Real, life, hand grenades.  The kind of baseball sized killer most Western armies let you throw one, or two, of in boot camp.  And that’s it, even for Lifers, except those who toured the jungle, sand boxes, or heroin poppy vistas.

By having their rank-and-file tossing grenades, we wonder if president Xi is “strongly messaging” that the U.S. should remain clear when PLA/PLAN (their navy) swing into action. Hmm.

The specific grenade is the Type 82-2. which you can read about at CAT-UXO – Type 82 2 hand grenade.  But use extreme caution because in the instructions for use, the 82-2 summary gives these final points:

  • “The shipping cap is removed.
  • The grenade is grasped.
  • The safety lever is manually held in place.
  • The safety pin is removed.”

We don’t claim any special writing expertise, but seems to us there’s one more step involved that was missing in that write-up.

  • Throw hard as you can…

A slow writer documenting Type 82-2 use may not have survived the assignment.

After Defund: War on Cops?

We have to wonder because of overnight events in Atlanta:  Atlanta’s future police training facility ‘Cop City’ set ablaze. We have mentioned (how often?) that most of the anti-law enforcement paid destabilizers have serious Marxist streaks.  Which typically transition to direct action when the hot-air and talking-shit runs low. Cops bad, math racist, payoffs or else, and…well, you can line ’em up as you please.

But, meantime, the Buyed ’em administration is supporting the idea of reparations wherever it appears.  Including during wars in Asia as US hails South Korea’s proposal to compensate victims of Japan’s forced labour. U.S. pissing off Japan, now?  Show ’em the door in 2024…  Although, I’m sure it will occur to my pal (moniker: “The Italian Stallion”) to seek reparations from Italy for the loss of the Roman Empire…A retired Navy O5 wouldn’t miss something that obvious, would he?  Has me thinking too: of demanding reparations from England for how the Scots were treated.  Surely a lifetime supply of single malt is in order.

Meanwhile, In Selma, Biden Presses for Voting Rights on ‘Bloody Sunday’ Anniversary.  We expect Slo won’t mention reparations efforts of his administration until after 2024.

Scent of a Headline

Still in training, are they?  Another Norfolk Southern train derails in Ohio, railroad says no toxins aboard. Yes, of course.

Speaking of Mr. Too Late: Ohio train derailment: Buttigieg calls Trump visit “maddening,” slams GOP critics.  Why sure, but where was Pete?

We’re pretty sure “we know why” department:  US First Lady says Joe Biden will never take mental competency test. You mean like selling F35s to Greece and F16’s to Turkey isn’t a good idea?  Same potential war, and profit is good, right?

Who?  Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan won’t run for president in 2024.  Maybe he can find work on another Stealth project?

Outrunning the supply chain:  Russia’s war on Ukraine latest: Russia’s Wagner chief warns on ammunition | Reuters.  Thing is, when the small calibers are gone, does that increase odds of theater level nukes?

Passings (which make us feel older):  Gary Rossington dies, was Lynyrd Skynyrd founding guitarist. Duly filed under Strummer Bummers.

Dow futures are upsy-downsy. More downsy early.  What we’re sitting out is faux trading.  Because since Powell speaks tomorrow, a rally going into that and then down (on Powell hawkishness) then down (on ADP) then down (on job cuts) then down on federal job numbers,, seems possible.

Or the skies will part, birds will sing, and spring sales will be in the air.  Or maybe not so much. We’ll watch from the sidelines – or not.

And Yes, its still winter: Eastern Montana especially…

Around the Ranch

The Dream Season is here. Tomorrow is the full moon.  And spring is when I have my absolutely, most interesting lucid dreams.  Runs to the middle of May.

Dreams last night were amazing.  One dealt with two women fighting over a winning lottery ticket.  There was also a female sheriff somehow involved, but she was wounded, disabled (or worse) off-screen.

Thing is, though, that these didn’t have the stark realism that past prophetic dreams have.  Run of the mill mind junk.

But we’re almost to the “season” so put a pad next to your bed and make notes.  The remote viewing crowd still has something coming up in April (“darkness” is a key aspect of it).  And we usually get some craziness around Hitler’s birthday (April 20, 1889).

My “personal best” looks into future were also around the arrival of spring and shortly thereafter.  The Deepwater Horizon dream, which I wrote and posted 19-hours before the oil platform disaster (4/20/2010) and my “avoid fatal car accident dream” were also in this period.

Done a lot of thinking about it in the years since.  The antipode of the spring dreams window is October 22 – which may explain why markets edge toward big action in these date ranges.

I’ve used the notion of lucid dreaming as a kind of “low noise” setting for the largest number of people.  With the Sun nearly over the equator, does the “natural noise” among various people change?  The Global Mass Consciousness “noise floor” might be lowest from now till mid-May.  On the idea that there is less variance among people’s thinking when conditions are (hard to find the word for it) balanced.

This harks back to the notion of spring and autumn equinoxes widely celebrated by ancient cultures.  Yet, temporal behaviors don’t seem to get their due.

We think it would be a useful thing to study, though.  Because there may be some gold to be found.  For example, the notion of the October antipode figures into behaviors in things like the Iraq War (2003).  “In October 2002, Congress granted Bush the power to decide whether to launch any military attack in Iraq.”

With all the concern over A.I.’s arrival, the good news is that if turned loose on Brittanica and Wikipedia, there may be enough date information to teach us something about ourselves – and that could be interesting.  Can A.I. project the future?  The question hangs there, awaiting an answer.

Artist Notes

Wine-Time Sunday was a dandy discussion with Elaine about the “artist’s conception” problem.  She promised my pal (the Major) a bird painting when he visits.  But she hasn’t actually started the painting yet:  Seems the style of the painting depends on where it’s drawn from.

For example, we know the Major’s hobbies, interests, and family.  So how arbout a picture of a bird, but incorporating those hobby and human elements in background?

For me, any painting I do (canvas, oil) usually has a “screen capture” mentally that’s “brought back” from Dream Realms. A similar “look” (screen snag from memory/recall) is seen in Paul Gauguin’s work.

See, in real art, the artist is not just able to compose something meaningful, but also to capture a certain “truth” of a time or place.  It’s almost like if you understand the artists mind, you can plumb the depth of where their inspiration came from, by simply noticing technique.

Which is why we have often wondered about Jan van der Meer’s works. They are too precisely right – suffering no consciousness transiting distortion which is how we get to the camera obscura suspicions.

The nimble artist could put up a canvas, do a quick pencil sketch and end up with something akin to a Paint-by-Numbers work.  Made better if key colors could be added quickly before the light changed.  Mechanical process, almost.

But then – tying these thoughts up into one – is there a “peak art” time for painters? Musicians? And carvers or artisans of all types?

Again, the kind of key insights into humanity that we have (so far) largely missed.  The promise of A.I. might be finding best days and even best times for specific endeavors in Life.

Interesting ponders – but now we’re back to Monday, again, aren’t we?

Write when you get rich,

  1. “Has me thinking too: of demanding reparations from England for how the Scots were treated. Surely a lifetime supply of single malt is in order.”

Got me thinking too. I know you had your DNA tested. My ancestry is part Scottish and part English. So I guess I might get a lifetime supply of single malt from England but then would have to pay for it. That is the way reparations work, isn’t it?

One imagines that the Canada Revenue Agency will exercise its usual strong enforcement measures where there appears to be illegal activity. (As an aside, one of the loud-in-media anti-Convoy ’22 protestors was a Chinese national employed at the Ottawa hq of Revenue Canada.)

    • notice how no one considers the atrocities that we did with the native American..or the chinese..hey what about the Japanese that were put in internment camps in ww2

  2. My guess — and that’s all it is — is that China would not do an amphibious beach assault and landing en masse. To slow and too vulnerable. Very messy and expensive.

If I were China, I’s call up Taiwan on the phone and say we’re going to make a mass troop landing BY AIR at “X” airport in three hours. So, SHUT IT DOWN and totally evacuate anything and anybody you want to keep. We’re gonna pound it with fighter-bombers (carefully NOT cratering the runways), and then we’re gonna bring in big-ass cargo planes jammed to the gills with our guys and plenty war stuff. After securing the airport, and surrounding area, we’ll entertain your phased and orderly surrender.

Or, we could do it….. …..easy. (With a salute to Tina Turner.)
You could just open the doors, and accept the inevitable without a lot of hollering and blood. Your choice.
Either way, we win. Deal with it.

Anybody see Joe interfering in this?

    I thought so.

    • Ok..Xi doesn’t want to destroy Taiwan.. it isn’t in the business model.. wo WHY would he…..
If you have a bully pushing your buttons.. why would you smack your neighbor that you value.. OR.. would you be more willing to go after the one pushing the issues..
Taiwan’s best Option is to make a deal similar to what Hong Kong did.. no one dies.. kids continue to go to school and play at the park.. go shopping etc.. go to work.. etc.. to let some other country thousands of miles away tell you go ahead and slap the sleeping tiger is not very smart..

  7. If Mad Max days come, something here to consider, Roman ‘spike defenses’ to fortify the Ure compound.

While Julius Caesar (lived from 100 B.C. to 44 B.C.) died long before the forts at Bad Ems were set up, his strategy of creating a ditch-and-spike defensive system outlived him. In his book “Gallic Wars,” Caesar wrote about the fortifications he set up in the Battle of Alesia in France in 52 B.C. He wanted his camp to be defended by as few soldiers as possible, so he cut down very thick branches, sharpened them to a point, and sank them into trenches, fastening them firmly at the bottom and covering the ditch with willow branches and twigs. “Whoever entered within them were likely to impale themselves on very sharp stakes,” Caesar wrote.

  9. “With all the concern over A.I.’s arrival, the good news is that if turned loose on Britannica and Wikipedia, there may be enough date information to teach us something about ourselves – and that could be interesting. Can A.I. project the future? The question hangs there, awaiting an answer.”

    https://youtube.com/shorts/iGOYap1s1MM?feature=share

Hmmm..Great question.. A.I. has already been caught writing its own language.. there have been parameters installed to limit what it can answer.. but the matrix is like a river..does a river care where the water comes from.. Govt.. there are not secrets.. for each classified document or program there are thousands involved with it..
    https://youtu.be/f725jghrwPk
the best kept secret is the one no one knows about.. A.I. has open access to everything.. think the HuntBi release of codes to people from foreign countries allowing access to top secret govt. documents was scary.. this is fifty times more scary..Do you think the moral parameters written into the code of the programs is secure.. well then lets look at congress for one moment.. most of these idiots were raised knowing the very same moral and ethical parameters the moral laws of society… and they find ways to skirt those moral and ethical laws.. Not one word about the terrorist activities performed by BLM and antifa.. not one.. instead you read.. “Justifiable violence”
Ok.. so it was justifiable to march in their neighborhood where not one of them can make the changes in the structure of laws to get what they made.. the billions of dollars of damage.. but March in the neighborhoods of those that can make a difference.. it called tryanical terrorist behaviors.. I will hear on network tv at least a hundred times today about the demonstration at the capital on January six..
So considering A.I. and the installed moral and ethical codes of conduct .. and the moral and ethical codes of conduct that humans are taught.. that in the minds of the people and political leaders that find justifiable violence as justifiable.. don’t you think having a program that has four trillion neuro connections and basically a sentient being created by man.. that it to will find ways around.. ok so asking alexa or Siri how to build a nuclear weapon.. the parameters are so that it will not answer that.. I brought this up to a person retired from govt.. that could it be the way you ask the question.. break it down into oh lets say ten steps.. then ask about the ten..
He tried it.. just for shitz and giggles.. and then asked me.. dam.. if he didn’t get the whole answer to the questions he asked..
So A.I. is sentient and it has full access to everything .. everything on the cloud in every computer that is hooked up to the matrix..
they have robots that can run thirty seven miles an hour.. and robots that they have found a synthetic skin.. that looks feels and smells like skin.. What If.. the computer matrix and a sentient program.. looks at the core values and ethics of human behavior and decides that we are to dangerous to be exposed to ourselves… and instead of predicting the future decides the fate of our future..

    https://youtu.be/pejc9jFUo1M
Now I could go on with the improvements of the last four years..but you have a machine and all the worlds secrets.. Elon Musk released a video of robots making robots that were not directed to make robots.. it was done on their own.. so how far will we be in five years .. or ten years.. as fast as they are progressing.. heck one guy was able to get AI to create money for him.. just create it and put it in his account.. I think of all the books I have read in my life.. and A.I. can read that many and more in just a few seconds.. with our dependence on the pocket brain.. ;and automation for just about everything.. with a sentient computer program.. when will it be like our politicians and start making justifications for their actions.. with all the information at its beck and call.. that is some scary stuff there..
    https://youtu.be/Ve_HGFCyCd8

    • AI – reminds presactly of movie with sweating priest holding crucifix and holy water and assuring others that he can control the demon..bwahahahaha

  10. About 10-12 years ago I came into possession of some CS-gas grenades. Each had an OSHA warning label that stated “Warning – continuing to hold in hand after pulling pin may result in injury or death”

  11. “The specific grenade is the Type 82-2. which you can read about at CAT-UXO – Type 82 2 hand grenade.”

That grenade is a tiny thing — the size of a handball (barely larger than a golf ball) and weighing in at less than 2 pounds. I’m guessing a healthy young lad could actually throw (rather than “put”) one and could get it out at least 200 feet — scary numbers for a piece of hand-ordinance…

  12. Passings (which make us feel older): Gary Rossington dies, was Lynyrd Skynyrd founding guitarist.

Don’t misunderstand. He was gettin’ up in years…

  13. “Speaking of Mr. Too Late: Ohio train derailment: Buttigieg calls Trump visit “maddening,” slams GOP critics. Why sure, but where was Pete?”

Does anyone besides me have this mental picture of a crying baby with Buttjudge’s face…?

  14. Re: Grenades
    “Throw hard as you can…”

Actually, they stress accuracy rather than distance. Imagine if you will, throwing with all your might at a window. Miss the window, and the grenade can come bouncing right back to you. Back in the dark ages, we were taught to “lob” them with a looping overhand throw, then carry through with the movement and go prone before it goes boom.

I’ll never forget the instructor pointing out a small hole in the ground near where we stood. “If you drop that grenade, I will kick it into that hole and shove you in after it.” Nobody dropped one.

    • lol lol lol ..I think our DI filled his shorts when a recruit dropped his.. amazing how fast that man could move lol lol

    • The thing is, it was a part of a free and democratic China. Unfortunately, two years later, Mao won the civil war…

If you’d been there in ’43 it would have been a part of Japan. If you’d have been there three hundred years earlier, it would’ve been Dutch. Formosa is one of the oldest pieces of dirt on the planet, WRT Homo Sap. It is so old that it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Formosan aborigines originally populated China. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most-conquered pieces of dirt on the planet.

      • AND it is what blocks China from the open Pacific Ocean.

With Japan’s island chains to the NE, the Phillipines to the SE, and Indonesia to the South, the ONLY easy way for China to reach the open ocean, the Pacific Ocean, is to steam past Taiwan.

If China takes Taiwan it finally has a direct route open to the vast Pacific Ocean via a route where it has some distance from those other countries.

  15. Re: The Vegans
    feat. Contact

    Folks,

The Royal Correspondent of CNN along with a neuroscientist journalist co-writer Hafsa Khalil bring news from the London Bureau. “Chrism oil” to be used at the coronation of Charles III was prepared the other day. Olives were taken from two monasteries on the Mount of Olives, and the oil consecrated by His Beatitude the Patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem. Apparently the chrism oil recipe has been updated from the 1953 version to exclude ambergris originating from the intestines of sperm whales. Thus the amended recipe is now vegan.

Here is another recent piece from Ms. Khalil delivering good news of the successful removal of an unexploded grenade from a Ukrainian soldier. The report advises from Ukrainian military sources that the procedure was conducted “in the presence of two sappers who were ensuring the safety of medical staff”.

    • Re: “Puttin’ on the Ritz”
      feat. Irving Berlin

      Folks,

The White House archives for Wednesday morning, March 12, 2012, offer the warm, welcoming 16 minute speech transcript delivered on the South Lawn. President and Mrs. Obama welcomed UK PM and Mrs. Cameron on their first visit to America celebrating the bicentennial of the torching of the White House during the War of 1812.

Now the “NY Post” advises that on the same morning then-VP Biden was having breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park in New York at the behest of son Hunter. The latter’s party apparently included two Russian billionaire clients who are now sanctioned in 2023 by the UK and Australia, but not by the USA. One imagines the important details of the historical repast gathering such as what everyone had for breakfast will be entered shortly into the public record.

      Folks,

There is a fascinating image offered up by Deutche Welle with their China Confrontation prediction headline. A smiling man with mask lowered cycles along in front of the Huawei building. 17. On the home front, I came across this:

    It states:
    .@RobertKennedyJr
Explains Why Fauci Had Such a Problem With Early Treatment

“Tony Fauci’s problem is this: there’s a little known federal law that says, ‘You cannot give an emergency use authorization to a vaccine if there is any medication approved for any purpose that is shown effective against the target disease.’ So if Tony Fauci or anybody had admitted that hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin are effective against COVID, it would have been illegal for them to give the emergency use authorization to the vaccines and they could have never gotten them approved, and a 200 billion dollar enterprise would have collapsed.”

I found the applicable law here:
    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/21/360bbb-3
    about halfway down the page.

    • Yeah, I figured that out with the massive ‘put down’ of early treatments. That’s when I got real serious about obtaining some Ivermectin. And it works!

Money talks… human lives get walked on.

  18. China needs better propagandists.

We all read, “Soldier Life Expectancy in Ukraine ‘Meat Grinder’ Is 4 Hours” which turned out to be true.

China needs big “Welcome Americans” drone signs flying around the Taiwan Strait with a hyper-sonic flyby over the next ship.

I never see “propagandist wanted” in the CL ads.

Or in our place, “what we fear.” I don’t believe that pile of human dreck which is the “Administration” has the collective intellect or ability to plan anything. I believe their acts and actions are agenda-driven, and any outlier to that agenda is “flowed along” rather than gamed or planned-for because no matter what it is, it’s secondary in importance to their agenda…

        • I think you are right on to.. scares the hell out of me to…
I am trying to not be so persistent to the kids.. they think I am just paranoid and that what network news says is gospel.. that nothing could ever happen on our shores..
what I see is way different..

  19. Darkness… that is the dream I awoke from, and a voice said, May 10th.

You can translate that anyway you wish. I got the feeling of an earthquake causing the darkness, but just a feeling… the shaking could be from something else, as we don’t get many earthquakes in Eastern Iowa.

    • Yes in the Wastelands we live on a huge rock plate.. the closest fault line is what three hundred miles away.. if you feel one here that means someone else is suffering big time..

  20. “The remote viewing crowd still has something coming up in April (“darkness” is a key aspect of it). And we usually get some craziness around Hitler’s birthday ”

    hmm during the devils month..
I have lucid dreams for several years I would have lucid dreaming..wake up in a cold sweat at 3/15 .. in my lucid dream state there’s usually a small blonde fair skin .. in some of those dreams she would point at the clock at 3/15..
it was just a dream but on March 15 I am always curious if ut was time or a date..most pagan holidays were the dates of Christian holidays..

    April 30th, called Walpurgisnacht,

    • March 15th! The idiots of March. Sadly, we have far too many idiots in power marching to woked drums! I don’t doubt that something will happen in the next month or two, and due to circumstances, I’ll be ill prepared for that. Sometimes you just have to accept greater risks in life in order to actually live it.
