A busy Sunday with coffee, so I’ve been tuning the automated news-surveillance fleet again — this time for faster reading.
The structure remains 4/19/45: four major stories, up to 19 inside-page items, and at least 45 source scans.
That gets me to the shop sooner.
News Compressor: ON
1. Israel rejects Trump Gaza plan.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed, turning a difficult implementation dispute into an outright rejection.
Popcorn Sunday. Let’s see how “Wag the Trump” works from here.
2. Houthis claim Saudi refinery strike.
Yemen’s Houthis say they struck Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery just after Saudi Arabia entered its new mutual-defense pact with Turkey and Pakistan. Saudi authorities confirmed a refinery fire but have not publicly confirmed the cause.
WW III continues to enjoy weekends.
3. Ukraine launches major drone attack on Russia.
Russian authorities say more than 150 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight and five people were killed in Belgorod. Damage was also reported near Novorossiysk.
4. New Saudi-Turkish-Pakistani defense bloc hardens.
Turkey is publicly describing the pact as technically equivalent to NATO’s Article 5: attack one, attack all.
If Russia ever goes heavy against Europe, Turkey suddenly becomes a very interesting swing force with fronts all around it.
