Winning Slowly in 2026

Getting rich fast?  No one we know.  And things don’t look much easier when the calendar rolls over in 22-days.

But getting rich slowly works for us.  And so our first major 2026 planning document lands this morning.  It’s a compilation of life stories, financial basics, and learning to “run the clock” to your advantage just like teams do in the last two-minutes of a football game.

Even the ChartPack is mainly the views, and not too deep on commentary this early.  No point talking until we see how real that quarter point rate cut is,.  And more important after that, the Chair’s remarks.

Bean up and click on brothers and sisters. We have another year to lay our conquest plans. Today is a “watch developments closely” time.

  1. [ADMIN NOTE: Flag hand reaching for the time out flag on this one… lots of emo, and an attack on a reader – which we don’t do around here…]
    Yeah sure,
the big fat orange fraud said LOOB was hoaxing the entire community with his “times are tough” stories of woe.
Thats right stories of high prices, run away inflation and disappearing Cash/Liquidity are all psy ops, “a hoax” according to his sword swallowing immenseness.
So stop whining and start spending, his pals will be happy to lend to you the moolah..happy.

Once again everything coming out of the orange classholes’ mouth is a LIE, DISHONEST at best.

Yeah yeah peace plan for the kraine while simultaneously pumping an additional $400 billion MOAR in new weapon plans. Never mind Childrens” failing healthcare system in USA – worst in western hemisphere, never mind failing Education system – compare against China&India.
    – Code Brown in USA be taking over, soonly we all will be runover by the hoardes..

Might as well start practicing now…”Allah Akbar!”

    • Attack ?

not my intent, sorry for “attacking” reader LOOB. last guy on planet I would attack, a cultivator of De has my highest regards & respect. cultivating De while working in real world = trey difficult..like extremely difficult, specially if you are/were in Sales.
No I AM ripping orange man BAD.

Who said yesterday in great state of Pennsyltucky that high prices & people struggling was a hoax..PREZACTLY what said about EPSTAIN..a hoax.

Besides – the new LAWs against criticizing anything israHELL are not on the books just yet..YET.

      Now you hoaxing..great!

feat: a new Sheriff in Rome

Apparently Tuesdays are typically a day off for the Pope. Yesterday however he gave an audience at Castel Gandolpho to the President of the Ukraine (for a fourth time?). “Reuters” video showed the pair exchanging child-themed gifts.

“CNA” (Catholic News Agency) published a writeup drawn from their Spanish language cousin ACI Prensa. The latters appear to be a subsidiary of ACI Group headquartered in Peru. ACI Group was founded in 1980 by religious order begun in 19th century Germany affiliated with the Jesuits. Their Lima management formulated a “Servants of God’s Plan”. Word of alleged religious order child abuse reached Rome’s ears. Jesuit Pope Francis parachuted in a Fr. Prevost formerly of Chicago as Bishop of Chiclayo (“Where the Green Hangs”?) in the heartland of the abuse problem. The Knights of Malta made the bishop a bailiff. This past January Pope Francis issued a “suppression order” against the Peruvian “Servants” nest and placed them under direct Vatican control pending dissolution in April. Cardinal Bishop Prevost became Pope Leo XIV the following month.

Meanwhile, the Servant of the People is understood to have departed Rome.

      • I can only access the previous day’s post.

It took me 3 tries to get the reply/comments box active.

Previously was able to easily click any post, any day, no problem.

Not anymore quoth the Raven. Please fix.

        • Oh-oh – this is one I can’t fix – sort of. We have a nested problem here. On the top layer, I only allow comments on posts that are 3 days old – or less. For you, I expanded this to 4 days. But experience is that if I open up all comments from 2012-ish – that people will reply t really old topics and jkuch of that iss ater under the bridge and low value. Either for us as learning or search engines as “recency.”
Second thing is people get out of the habit of clearing their browser cache – this is one of those needsd to be done very day thjings, which is what browsers have a “clear cookies on exit” feature whih will do the task automatically on shutdown.
BUT that isn’t a sure deal: See if you shut down and don’t close the browser FIRST then you can get cookie hangover.
And last point, it could be the web. We have an ongoing war with ad support here. that is a long one, but the short version is the web especially around holidays wiuth iet’s choking in click traffic tends to be an error prone place.
          Kinda like Washington DC
So that’s the long and short of it – not much I can do about the web – the idea I liked (the national digital network that my late friend Don Stoner had cooked up) would have eliminated a lot of crap plus each node had eto be named with a social security number – that would have prevented a lot of abuse we see todaty. But who listens to visuionaries, right?

  3. G you gone commie !! Eh? A dollar for you a 100 for me . Couldn’t be getting paid from the big hasbara budget like all the talking head gurus . Yeah it’s different this time!! • Bingo !

soon gonna be law against saying anything negative about israHELL.

You either support GENOCIDE and the slaughter of innocents or Ure wrong .

      Its yahweh or the highway..

  4. Very nice and thoughtful write-up for 2026 – lots to add to thinking pile thanks to you… LOL

re: anti-fragility training – after you’re comfortable with the distance, add some to weight to your walks using a weighted vest. Maybe not every time but as a regular periodic stressor.

Thank you for a good year of writing and commentary.

    • Thank you. I do it because I think PN is the best (and maybe straightest-shooting) newsletter you can get for under $300 a year.
If you have Peoplenomics, the only thing I can see worth adding would be the $149/year for Gerald Celente’s Trends Journal. “Survival” rags? meh,,,

  5. This is the last year Toyota’s Rav4 will be offered in ICE version – 2026 Hybrid only. The Camry already went over to Hybrid only.

That Big 3 which is only 2 are either managed by geniuses or headed to Bailout City to ‘ketchup’ or whatever their grift will be.

Instead of talking to movie producers Trump should be chastising the manufacturing base. Unless it’s 4D of course and those factories are planned to be emptied for the new jobs.

    • Rumor has it that Mazda rolls out the compression gasoline engine in the CX-5 in 2026. Wish they would do the compression engine in a camp-out plug-in hybrid micro-van with some towing capacity. OMG.

  6. Trump admin thinks we want low sitting station wagons.

“The Trump administration says its new fuel economy rollback proposal could allow automakers to resume building station wagons, a staple of 1970s and ’80s family travel.

“This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon — maybe a little wood paneling on the side,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said on CNBC. “We can bring back choice to consumers so yeah the minivan is awesome but maybe the station wagon is cool too.””

  7. “2026: The Art of Winning Slowly”

An excellent column today George. Being part of the retired senior crowd, there was a lot of good info to consider. I am in full agreement that any government senior benefit programs are in danger. As AI replaces more employees paying income tax, revenue has to come from other sources. Seniors seem like a perfect target.

A lot of high wealth baby boomers are going to be dying off in the next 5 to 10 years. I expect the government (especially here in Canada) to want a big portion of the wealth transfer in taxes. We presently have a very minimal death tax.

I agree that you should cut back if not cut out Urban Survivor. You will be following your own advice and probably reducing the number of troll comments too. With your aggressive use of AI, your paid subscribers are getting increasing value from Peoplenomics, even if only 2 days a week. I used to subscribe to Celente’s Trends Journal at $240 annually. It is very good but I find I get a better perspective from Peoplenomics for $40 annually (a steal) and 2 years ago I eliminated Trends Journal along with some other subscriptions totalling close to $1000 annually. Ahead of your recommendation for 2026 on this one.

Thanks for helping us navigate through this next 5 years. It will be very different than the past 5. That is for sure.
