The Amazing Joyriding Selectric Adventure

Unfricking real:

So mailed in Denver, July 7th, joyrides half a dozen USPS centers, goes to origination, not destination, and now they can’t deliver.  You just can’t make shit like this up.

We don’t know where the accident of incompetence is but we have eBay looking into it. Maybe time to get the Postal Inspectors on it. My insurance check to Dallas is still MIA, too. Mailed June 22…

And thery want higher postal rates? Come on…kidding…right?

Sheesh.

Good news: I understand why people drink on Friday’s again!

  1. you couldnt make this up . interesting in the 1930s sugar price was an indicator of the time . today could be the postal service

  2. Delivery in Denver, huh?
Your solution is in their note.
If you do nothing they will return it to Sender (so they say,)
Tell Sender it is supposedly coming back and when he has it SEND IT BY A RELIIABLE METHOD NOT CHEAP ASS USPS!!!
Or method two, just cancel your check and let the sender track it for the next few weeks until he has it back.
The gesture was nice and I am sure Elain appreciate the gesture and you, but the cats out of the bag, no surprise any more.
    Find her another Green Selectric.

  3. Well ok then I guess a refund is in order. You were about as patient as one could be but that right there tips the scale

  4. Dang, I was hoping to hear there was a happy ending to this Odysee of a gift giving adventure. Oh well, certainly Elaine had a nice birthday gift otherwise. I need to get the copyright paperwork done on my book/movie title, The Traveling Selectric.

I need to replace the tinfoil in my Stetson. This and other news items that slip through my shields make me think of a grand conspiracy to muck up everything as much as possible before the midterms. Where is the Reynolds Wrap?

    • Try one of these:

They’re probably much more comfortable than aluminum foil and being silver, likely healthier. If’fn yer gonna go down THAT rabbit hole, you should at least dress the part…
