Although Ure has promised to lighten up on his keyboard, there’s not too much to be done until the Sun pops up.
- You can only shower and shave so many times. (Usually once)
- After one pot of coffee, the caffeine kicks the blood pressure too much.
- The neighbors aren’t out hunting.
- Rain threatens.
- Hard to garden in the dark.
So, the best use of early hours was working on the To-Do list and writing a short note about President’s Day
Why Today?
As Wikipedia explains:
“Washington’s Birthday was celebrated on February 22 from 1879 until 1971, when the Uniform Monday Holiday Act moved it to the third Monday in February, which can occur from February 15 to the 21st.”
The math-challenged may trip here “Wasn’t last Friday the third Friday and didn’t options expire and all that? Well, yes. But the first of this month was on Tuesday. Any time we can solve these big mysteries for you (like “How can the third Friday come before third Mondays?“) we’re here to help.
Services and Booze
The U.S. Postal and Storage Service won’t be delivering bills today. You can holster the checkbook until tomorrow.
UPS and FedEx will both be delivering. We like to order a lot of goodies to show up on P-Day so we can celebrate “Second Christmas.” Our UPS driver, however, not only won’t hitch up a team of deer, he also won’t put on the Santa Suit we left out for him.
Which really isn’t all bad: I doubt our double-wide roof would support a UPS truck, team of deer, AND a UPS driver who makes really good beef jerky.
Once the presents are opened, it may be time for a food run. One eye medication has a refill ready and that road leads by the liquor store.
Yes, liquor store in Texas will be open today. Most Churches will be closed.
Parking meters? Oh my God, this is a Las Vegas or Shreveport-level roll. It all depends on the city.
Our best advice is to stay away from people as much as you can. Not only are they mainly filthy and disgusting, incapable of independent-thinking if it’s not injected by left-wing media manipulators…
Humans also pass on dangerous diseases. Like Taxes, Assessments, Rules, Laws and Regulations. They charge interest and other silly social power games. Worst of all, they want to claim we’re all free, but you can’t discharge a firearm inside their city limits. This is just another Con Day.
It’s all quite insane, but that’s why the booze boutiques do well on “holidays” like this one.
Everything is a Business Model. Or we’re in a reeducation camp with no self-awareness of its plight, yet.
Queen’s Crud
If you have been following the writings of G.A. Stewart at The Age of Desolation, you may have figured out that WW III will tee off about the time the British monarch passes. (We’re still researching whether Commoners will be allowed in the Queen’s version of heaven.)
Odds are high that the disease threatening was passed on by one of those filthy commoners, somewhere along the line though. Britain set to lift all Covid restrictions as queen tests positive.
Monday Morning Missile Missive
Want the wildly-oversold happy-talk first? Biden agrees ‘in principle’ to Putin meet if Russia does not invade Ukraine. This is what we call a “diode story.”
In front of the War, Biden will be able to see “I offered” and on the backside, he’ll be able to say “Hey, I tried.”
As every budding electronics whiz knows, there’s never any gain in a Diode (with a small carve-out for microwave tunnel diodes which you can go ponder after class). [Further note: The “correct answer” will depend on your interpretation of “negative resistance” which sure sounds like gain to us…]
I had to learn all this stuff to be a tech rep during the Cold War. Which circles us back to…
What Went Boom in the Night?
Let’s begin with Ukrainian soldier wounded amid 80 ceasefire violations by Russian mercenaries over past day. From here we can move on to the report Luhansk TPP operation stopped due to shelling. Power, water supplies cut off in Shchastia town (ukrinform.net).
As you may be aware, the Ukrainian side has ensured Russian-friendly territory water was unsteady. Now, Russia loyalists are lobbing shells toward the power plant in the Kiev-backed area.
Topping things off, despite claims on the Russian side of pullbacks, the Ukraine information sources keep increasing troop level estimates: Reznikov: Russia amasses 147,000 troops near Ukraine’s borders. Dpo I here 150,000? Going once…going twice….
In Russian media, we noticed the story Information War Rages Ahead of Feared Russian Invasion – The Moscow Times.
Which all but tells us, you’ll know it’s “War On!” when the internet globally gets iffy and scratchy.
The Money War
We also caught sight of a story most people will jump right past: Russia’s Finance Ministry Submits Draft Cryptocurrency Regulations. It’s worth your time to read, especially the summary reporting that “The draft upholds the current ban on crypto payments for goods and services, sets a cap on the amount of rubles that people can invest in cryptocurrencies, and defines what it means to mine cryptocurrencies.”
One of the great public distractions of pending war in Ukraine (and points west) is it glosses-over how there’s a power shift in global currency regimes. As you can see, Russia won’t allow payments for goods or services, but it doesn’t stop there: Crypto is fully banned in China and 8 other countries | Fortune.
Hence, with China AND Russia taking a hard line on cryptos *(following our “governments hate competition axiom), it means the U.S. crypto bubble may be about to go down. At click time this morning, the BTC was trading $37,492.50 – still overpriced by $37,490 or more in our view.
With the end of the Crypto Bubble (which is helps to paper-over the second economic depression along with inflation), we stick by our latest premise:
- Not only is Everything a Business Model…
- …but to rip-off von Clausewitz, war is economics by other means.
When the Crypto bubble pops (watch prices) the U.S. stock bubble will likely collapse, as well.
And you’ll know WW III is underway when the Internet won’t clear funds.
At the Casino
The Germany DAX took out 15,000 falling more than 2% this morning. BTC leading us down? The Unclear Kingdom has a smaller loss – down just 3/4ths of one percent.
Happy talk will be seen on the crooked US networks today. Global reality screams caution, however. We’re still short.
Off to show my solidarity with Mexico with a couple of cheese and bean burritos to power the day.
Write when it gets dark,

I am slightly behind you in age and what I’ve come to realize I am excellent at what I do. I enjoy what I do. I’m extremely healthy. But now I do what I do on my own terms. Some version of Goerge that’s great for Goerge is also great for us.
Topic 2
As a rule, you never take a 3x short ETF through a weekend especially a long weekend. I know better and it is a loser almost every time. Maybe not this time.
Topic 3
Putin didn’t invade… He was invited in. The real question is who is next?
George.will you please help this low IQ Canadian reader out? A news report I read this morning said that all the USA has to do to stop Russia is to freeze their International banking capabilities. That will fix them.
With the apparent tight relationship Putin has with Xi and the fact that Germany and other European countries need Russian gas, does Russia really need the International banking community to survive?
No.
But to as corrupt a moneycentric government as we have, the only “skill” we have is financial engineering which is manufacturing of MacKay’s Popular Delusions.
Just as “To a man with a hammer, every problem is a nail…” So, too: “To a country with a bank making up money, All in international problems look like a loan app.”
In this way, the IMF, BIS, WorldBank and the Davos crowd can all pretend they are “solving global problems.” Which, frankly prior to the AmRev were fairly scarce, plus or minus a Genghis. My, oh My! See how the EU may do a “keys in lieu of foreclosure on ‘kraine?
Also, remember borders are lines on maps. Real sociopolitical regions are defined by language and culture. People that speak Russian in Ukraine are a powerful fact of life.
George, Ure right, but lets not forget serious mountain ranges, oceans and seas! These are also real geopolitical boundaries. Even rivers can separate states and regions.
I believe.. in the near future..their gold backed currencies will be the major currencies of the planet.. right now our currency is not backed by nothing more than a wish and a promise that oil backed countries use it as their currency of choice.
Our manufacturing is totally dependent on countries we are trying to control..
What IF Russia says no more fiat money as payment for resources. Gold, silver, or other assets that Russia may want for payment. Sanctions can work both ways.
“Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as a keynote-Speaker inaugurated the conference and without losing time criticized the risks of a U.S.-dominated unipolar world and the instability of the world’s reserve currency, the fiat U.S. dollar. He suggested Asian leaders and advisors to rethink on a single Asian currency that is linked to Gold. Dr. Mahathir advocated that the same currency can be used for international trade and investment amongst the Asian economies. And could also serve as an alternative to minimize the dependency on the U.S. Dollar. ”
https://politicstoday.org/is-a-common-currency-backed-by-the-gold-standard-achievable/
there was just a story on sky news this morning about the arab nations signing with the Chinese with their currancy.. the dollar like the BC I think is on its way out.. as the global exchange currency..
But then we all knew this years ago.. and the old saying in this household and chair acquirement is .. shuffle your feet and you loose your seat..comes to mind.. when all the while the US should have been working on strengthening the dollar building industry rather than tearing it down.. and the Federal Reserve knew that they needed to strengthen it.. they diluted it by the build back better of the Biden administration.. and their motto
print print print.. the implications of this really hit home when I went to order our spices and discovered the exact same spice is now in less than a year 140% more than last spring when I got it the last time..

Um, although there are whispers that Russia is trying to quietly go back on the gold standard, I believe the only countries which still have fractional currencies are Syria, Iran, and possibly North Korea…
BTW, the last two countries to go off the standard were Iraq and Libya, after we fostered their leaders’ untimely ends, thus providing an entire sector with conspiracy fodder…
“What IF Russia says no more fiat money?”
That is a very good question @Cynthia…
A few years ago.. a cargo ship refused to offload the cargo until they received gold.. instead Congress was able to convince them to.. what did congress do for them… is the question..
SO… with your question.. WHAT IF.. China said no more goods unless you use our currency or gold.. I believe the Dollar would instantly tank.. and What if.. the Arab nations decided to use the Chinese currency backed by gold.. right now the fiat dollar is known as the petro dollar.. once that happened I believe we would see prices similar to those in Zimbabwe.. and Argentina Just like the cartoon coin.. its only a number…. I have said for a long time that if I could I would use Peanuts.. to secure the currency.. NUT BUCKS…one hundred nuts gets you one nut buck..Luckily for Greek Austerity crisis….. it was insane for a while.. young women having to sell their bodies for a can of soup and old people dumpster diving.. the good thing was they eventually realized.. an electrician is still an electrician.. a house keeper is still a housekeeper.. etc.. and was able to barter for goods..
I am not sure if their currency came back or not.. I haven’t followed it.. during the Reagan recession.. I was able to survive the same way.. bartering for what I needed using what little skills I had.. day labor.. you scoop the hog pen out.. and I will give you so much pork or chickens.. etc.. my major skill was in graphics.. so I did glass etching..
https://youtu.be/6b6ZjmPxEyA
similar to that.. we use to use it to make printing plates.. and I did a lot of them for food..along with custom painting of murals and bike tanks.. gave my enlarger to my grandson that loves to draw for xmas two xmases ago.. he does a lot of super hero drawings LOL…
of course I did just about everything.. if they needed it done I was their man.. teach me I will learn.. and that is what I believe will happen when the federal reserve tanks if the world currency desides they have to go with something other than a texas chili cheese fluffy in the wind for their guarantee’s..
“… a couple of cheese and bean burritos to power the day.”
Don’t you know methane is a greenhouse gas worse than CO2?
My methane is particularly powerful…
THE TIME LOOP
We all know about cars, planes, computers, phones, advanced medical devices, building and engineering principles, quantum chips, etc. However, if the world were hit by a meteor, a nuclear winter, or a multitude of other events and all but say 144,000 people survived, it would be only three generations before people were existing in the stone age again.
The few people surviving a planetary catastrophe could build an elemental wheel, or a bow and arrow. Although advanced technology might be known by the survivors, it would be gone because the means to engineer it or build it are gone.
These 144,000 people could only advance the planetary civilization to move forward again slowly through evolutionary means, or maybe they could move it forward like was described by an allegory told in ancient books via parent to grandkid to traveling camel herder etc. Or a book or tablet could be discovered describing how to build the advanced technology, or objects could be discovered called alien technology which would leapfrog the evolutionary process. Or advanced good civilizations from out there that could be living here could help advance the human race again.
For the 144,000 to move it forward without outside help or discovery of technological books and objects, would be a slow drawn-out process just like most people believe we have now evolved into this place in time and space. At the same time, those that found alien technology, or conversed with aliens on how to assemble advanced technology might want to keep it to their small group so that they could control the other people that were not aware. It would take highly evolved souls to want to get the advanced technology out for the use of all mankind. When mankind has advanced to that point.
Like traveling to the jungle and taking flashlights and lasers and lighters and finding a lost tribe still doing things the ancient way they have used for thousands of years. They would think you were some god.
How many would have to survive a planetary event to keep technology moving forward at an evolutionary pace? Moore’s Law type evolution. Would it take 500,000,000 people like the Georgia Guidestones suggest?
A lot of destruction can happen in the life of a planet like Earth that has been around 4.54 billion years+-50mm. How many times has life on this planet blown up from in-bound planetary, space rocks, energy pulses such as quasars or pulsars, or other objects? How many times has the planet been wiped out from floods, solar eruptions, volcanoes, pole flips, or a returning planetary objecX(s) with tremendous gravitational pull that happens every 3600-12,000 years, or any multitude of other things, including wars from ancient, more advanced civilizations that lived on this planet?
Lemuria, Atlantis, or Mu as described from Plato to Edgar Cayce are civilizations that disappeared. Did they advance in their weaponry to the point of self-annihilation? Or did some other planetary catastrophe occur? Are we back to that point because evil people want war to pad their wallets and gain more power? They think they will survive in their underground cities built with your tax dollars. Little do they know that they will become their tombs.
As Don Henley sang in the song ‘Them and Us’ about Nuclear War: “One finger on the button, one finger up his nose, Johnny’s in some cornfield and the early warning blows. Bigger is better, more is more…there won’t be any winners this time…. Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust. In 45 minutes, it’ll all be done, we’ll all be nice and crispy, but we will still be #1. There won’t be any winners this time…….”
Albert Einstein said, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”
{Time travel concentric loops via CLOSED TIME-LIKE CURVES back to Paragraph 1. Repeat…over and over and over again never learned humanoids.}
Who’s to say that advanced technology would be a godsend to human kind?
“The few people surviving a planetary catastrophe could build an elemental wheel, or a bow and arrow. Although advanced technology might be known by the survivors, it would be gone because the means to engineer it or build it are gone.”
Phew so true WTHS… we are there now.. we know the basics.. but our industrial complexes have been dismantled..and sent to other countries..the tool and die makers aging and dying off..we have been Transformed from an industrial nation to a service and consumption nation..
All that would be available to the 144,000 by scavinging the remains.
Depending on the various skill & knowledge level of the144,000 they could advance very rapidly. Look at THE USA from 1650 to the present. From nothing but forest & hills to a booming nation. And the settlors started without knowing what the future held (& would not have believed it if you told them, maybe burn you at the stake) when the 144,000 know what the future held, but lost & why.
The most basic KEY to advancing a society back from an age of destruction is METALS. The ability to create them and to mold them.
Will people even know how to build a basic oven to make iron? and those that may will they even be physically close to the raw materials necessary to put into it and can they mine AND CRUSH the rocks that contain that metal?
Once they can make iron, or any other metal for that matter, will they remember how to harness it so as to amplify energy in order to assist the remaining people to do WORK?
Remember even in the early 1800’s in the United States most energy to do work was harvested from WATER, water that was descending, and the water wheels to utilize that energy were made of WOOD, including WOOD PEGS since metal was in such short supply. The ability to harness HEAT to do work was NOT YET AVAILABLE in the US in the early 1800’s … that only came about when the amount of metal to make things with became abundant.
Our entire advanced society is based upon using energy to AMPLIFY that which can be supplied by animal power, either human or draft animals of one sort or another. OH … and remember with draft animals for farm use, without IRON implements their work output is very very inefficient.
Once abundant metals are available, IF there is any ingenuity left, then society “can” advance …. but don’t forget people had metals available for THOUSANDS of years before they began to use them to harness energy!! (in the time of the Greeks they had them, in Biblical times they had them, in the Middle Ages they had them, but in reality it took at least 3000 years before they were able to use those metals they had to advance Agriculture and then later to make devices that could capture energy and turn it into a usable form)
“Will people even know how to build a basic oven to make iron? and those that may will they even be physically close to the raw materials necessary to put into it and can they mine AND CRUSH the rocks that contain that metal?”
There is good and bad to that. LOL LOL LOL LOL I had that same thought and decided to show the kids how to do it using only the sun.. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
that was the worst decision of mine.. I was scared to death that the kids were going to burn down the house LOL LOL LOL they was melting everything from stones to make lava to can’s and gummy worms LOL LOL LOL zapping ants.. I had to take it away from them.. then decided it was much safer to teach them how to make ice using the sun.. so the solar beer chiller was made LOL
NC
They had the advantage of thousands of years of advancement. They might have started in 1650, but they had gunpowder, wagons and wheels, iron yokes, guns, swords, axes, cookware, sailing ships, etc. from earlier generations. It all evolves the same way. Best regards.
“Although advanced technology might be known by the survivors, it would be gone because the means to engineer it or build it are gone.”
As is the incentive.
After any catastrophe of this magnitude, survival (meaning food & water, shelter, and self-protection) become a 24/7/365 full-time job, and anyone who sloughs off, dies.
What made societies advance, technically, was vocational specialization in a certain, distinct social direction. Until Man can “cut his or her hours” in half, there is simply no time to invest in building better machines than those required for survival (wheel, lever, and perhaps pulley). Accordingly, all knowledge of machines is lost, and unless someone shows their family, tribe, or commune how to chip obsidian, so is the ability to make knives and arrowheads. If ignorance progresses to this point, barring intervention by a neighbor, the ignorant tribe dies.
The real loss of technology comes from the loss of the luxury of specialization. When every man must hunt and every woman and child, gather, everything they possibly can, for every available hour of sunlight, just to barely survive, there will be no ability for a tribe to specialize vocation and dedicate people to just hunting, or just night watch, or just picking berries.
All true, and let’s not forget teaching kids to read, write, and do basic arithmetic! Most of the advanced sciences and math will tend to languish and be lost in many places. It may not be all bad, but the question becomes one of exactly how far do we fall. The multiplicity of languages and cultures won’t help. I’m reminded of the Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov.
Wars, rumor of wars – Lets Go Brandon..U poor dumb clueless bastard.

I think you maybe wrong in your assessment of that Bitcoin Maxamillist.. according to one of the fake news stories.. the kid signed a paper saying that they had six hundred million hidden so until the fiat dollar tanks. they would not actually be POOR . I think this Canada “Trucker Thing” is extremely important. More so than the punditry is admitting. I think it’s The Beginning of the Common Sense Great Correction of 2022. (I am an optimist…)
There’s gonna be a lot of hollering, and running around waving arms in the air, and some destruction and some deaths. Buy I do thik it’s the inception of a general revolution. (Kayannisquatsci — “Life out-of-balance: Crazy Life that begs for re-newal.”)
A demagogue often pops up in times like these. Watch for him or “it” as the case might be. But SOMEbody will be shortly offering bumper-sticker simple solutions. Asses will get kicked. Heads will get busted.
THAT can often go badly — but the governmental brutality and over-reach must needs be opposed now, or we drown in the rising tide. Reactive government will continue to dig in and aggravate things — it’s what they do best.
Caution and prudence are indicated. (But, are unlikely to prevail.)

I believe @william of the radio ranch.. that the ball is in play.. a truly tricky situation.. where it could have been de-escalated quickly a few weeks ago.. simply by moving the threat away from the Russian border.. and making sure that the Ukrainians didn’t threaten them.. is now long past..
Similar to what we were told in the military.. on particular country etiquette.. one country you had to burp after a meal.. don’t blow your nose in a hanky in another and definitely don’t cross your legs.. the shoe pointing at another could be seen as a threat..
for us to back away now.. could be interpreted as a sign of weakness.. and not going forward also a sign that we cut and run from the problem.. just like our exiting Afghanistan.. going in wasn’t the problem in Iraq either.. getting out of Iraq was the big issue.. A very bad situation.. doing the wrong thing will loose face with all our allies in NATO doing another could end up with the war or wars and the destruction of mankind.. all over a few bucks..that are nothing more than just printed numbers on a sheet of paper..
Funny. I heard tonight that the Trudeau “government” now wants to make the provisions of their “Emergency [whatever]” permanent. The first thought to pop into my head is: somebody should run a couple million firearms into Canada, so when the Canadian People begin to seriously starve, which they will now that they’re living under a totalitarian fascist State, they could at least be able to make an attempt to defend themselves and take their country back. When Justin orders the Canuckisanese Gestapo to start lining up the undesirables and shooting them, it’ll be too late.
BTW, this is the pattern for our fate. Pay attention, y’all…

Oh baby – keeps getting better – blue and white uniforms of the rough tough “hardened” UN Troops ? – say it aint so.
My son, Iraq veteran, said, blue helmets are NOT always used.
There are photos of two UN planes parked at North Bay which outside of Ottawa. Tail of one plane is blacked out
Common thought is the emperor can’t use domestic troops in North America to quell domestic resistance, because Americans don’t like shooting their kids and parents.
George,
George,
That darn Putin!
I know darn good and well that the only reason he’s put off invading Ukraine is to diminish your image in the eyes of your daughter and those of us faithful readers.
Well, no worries because it didn’t work, at least on me.

Once I saw a woman with Alzheimer’s snap out of it and wake up. She had been bedridden and no real mental capacity. But for about 45 minutes she was who she use to be with full mental recall. When she came to here senses, she was pissed and in a panic, even grabbed a desk phone and called her family. Demanding they come get her … but by the time they explained to her why she was where she way, she drifted back into that darkness. Saddest thing I’ve ever witnessed.
What I see going on, the push and shove between the new woke being imposed and the old ways, it’s as if people finally realize what’s going on. Pissed and panic. If we go woke, we go back to sleep. Dis-ease control won’t end. If we remain in the old ways, we’re just as controlled as we were before.
Something’s gotta give.
I have personally seen that too, PFB. Not the same circumstances, but same experience.

With congress back out on recess or vacation etc.. again.. and federal employees only required to work 1200 hours a year!!!! What’s the difference between our countries work ethics and why is Russia working on president day after all lol lol
Federal employees and representatives are required to work 359 days a year there .. no recesses no fact finding missions or lobbyist funded vacations.. if they are caught accepting bribes or lobbyists funding ..well let’s just say they would prefer being canned in Singapore.. where our representatives only put in 176 hours if they come every day of work .. I asked that nice young woman from Beijing about holidays there.. it’s similar..good work ethics and moral honor.. while our business models have all been changed to self rather than community

According to a ‘commentor’ from Janes:
– “Potential military costs, in the form of Russian losses on the battlefield, remain as the only viable disincentive that could stop Putin from invading.”
“Potential military costs, in the form of Russian losses on the battlefield, remain as the only viable disincentive that could stop Putin from invading.”
OR…would he go all out.. remember the story of him in a KGB headquarters….Look what the USA has done.. the people from the USA has not been able to afford the war upon wars.. instead we borrowed the money from .. GUESS WHO…..those that we should never have borrowed money from.. Now the ball is in play.. the players are on the court.. to run to the sidelines would give the world a reason to doubt us from this point on.. to continue could be disastrously bad.. ..
there is a price for everything we chose to dance with the devil for a few silver coins..

“The lieutenant colonel, left in charge, goes out to this crowd and tries to single-handedly stop the enraged people, addressing them: “The fact that the Berlin Wall has fallen is the goodwill of our country! Here is the building we are guarding. This is the property of the Soviet Union! Understand correctly – this is the property of another country. We are officers – doing our duty…”. There were eight of them, officers. They stood by the windows, as in the loopholes, with guns. A lieutenant colonel with a pistol with twelve cartridges in its clip was blocking the way of the crowd. The crowd pressed on and the Lieutenant Colonel said:
“You know – I am an officer. I have twelve rounds of ammunition. I will keep one round for myself. But in doing my duty, I will shoot. I can’t do otherwise – I’m an officer!”
He said this and began to walk slowly up the steps to the entrance of the building. He walked slowly, fully expecting someone to throw either a stone or a bottle at his back. He walked up very slowly. When he got up and turned around, he saw that the crowd had begun to disperse. No Germans entered the KGB building that night. No one touched the archive documents. Many people in Dresden still tell this story. This story, which has become almost a legend in Dresden, is still alive today. The Germans are proud to say that they obeyed the unknown lieutenant colonel, whose name at the time was not known to anyone. Now the lieutenant-colonel is world-famous. Russian president. Vladimir Putin.”
NOW what does that tell you about President Putin. From my perspective.. both Putin and Xi have left us the way out of the nasty situations our way out of the headquarters.. instead of leaving.. we refused to listen or see the gestures that have been offered..the setting up of the poison pawn trap…..
and considering that.. what does Sun Tzu have to say about it.. we had the chance to back away gracefully.. ( it wouldn’t have hindered our ability to defend anyone.. at all.. we live in the reach out and touch someone era.. but simply give the the symbol that their borders are secure and would remain so.. what happened..from my simple perspective.. we and Nato have backed them into a corner and now that we are there.. there is now the tricky situation of getting out of it without loosing our symbol to our allies of our strength and dedication to them and leaving the earth intact for future civilizations……..
Sun Tzu the art of war says..
“When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard.
Do not press a desperate foe too hard. When a foe is cornered, they must fight for their lives and will do so with the energy of final fear. If you force them to go down in a blaze of glory they will do so, taking more of your troops than you might otherwise expend.”

Comrades,
A staunch supporter of the monarchy, the 4th Viscount Rothermere, has seen fit to have his newspaper, “The Daily Mail”, publish a report on the estranged Prince Harry’s charity. It would seem 98% of donations went to salaried staff. Oh, dear. The charity apparently was in support of the prince’s new “coaching” app. Perhaps this episode will be filed in the “sneak play” folder.
Meanwhile, “The Telegraph”, previously guided by twin billionaire brothers who own a Channel Island, offers update on the Windsor Castle enclave. Prince Harry has renewed the lease on Frogmore Cottage which maintains his UK domicile to remain as one of the four Councilors of State to the Queen. It is heartwarming to know that the £2.4 million cottage refurbishment completed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be for naught. The Prince’s cousin, Princess Eugenie and family, are happily ensconced housesitting while the Duke and Duchess mix and mingle during their residence in the former colonies.
And now, ctl alt delete, back to the UK taxpayer-supported BBC…
“…Mr. Putin sending Russian peacekeepers to rebel held areas…”
Perhaps, the real reason behind the financail kill switch is that the Canadian banking system will be the first to lock up? Is this the Alpha test for for wider deployement? Now that the ” kill switch” is in place, just how money velocity is that swithc switch capable of diverting someone eleses money to pay for that UN mobilization? Design patterns… all design patterns….. sure seems like peer to peer means of settlement outside of hte existing control grid is coming. It’s not all going to be exclusively metallic based. That costs too much to lug around,

Steevo,
The drift I take away from it is that payment platforms like crypto and Paypal will now have to participate with the regulator fintrac, just like regular bank account holders already do.

Interesting guy – it’s long but last hour is the home run – don’t know if it will come across Joe Rogan with Maajid Nawaz
Happy Birthday, George
Congratulations Mr. Ure, another trip around the Sun !
Who sez no “trippin” at 73?
I will start phase one of my UPS/Solar back-up project soon. For now, the inverter has a picosecond trap surge protector plugged into it, and the whole pile is under a metallized cover for low-bid protection.
Ground that lid, of course
The temporary cover is a soft metallic aluminum foil composite (not sputtered)- it drapes to the concrete floor. Attenuation is unknown. I have material on order to make a cover from a broadband attenuation 45 db nickel -copper covered mesh for ventilation. I may put a layer of aluminum foil underneath on top of the concrete. Along with the plug-in trap and the line surge protection on the 120VAC charging circuit, that should do the job once installed. I will add additional protection in phase 2.
I think the material is shipping in direct from offshore, so I hope it makes it. My measurements indicate I will have enough material just to drape it by cutting the piece in half, and sticking it back together with conductive type. I also have some conductive thread on order for plan B if the tape won’t hold the mesh. Improvs…
Wow – sparing no expense! Our power center is not similarly shielded so you may be much better off than us should the crap light up… well done!
Less than $100 for the mesh, tape and thread, if it shows up. The trick is that my inverter and battery stuffs are free standing, so I can drape covers, instead of having to make an RFI shielded rigid enclosure.
The surge protectors may well be more important. Where cords come under the cover, I will clamp ferrites.
I figure if lightning EMP blows my VHF antenna board (again), and the UPS ? solar rig is still going, that will be proof of concept. Lightning has slower rise times than other sources, but is very energetic in close proximity.
Qualitative … paradoxically …
Incipient Quantitative Tightening … The thing on the mind of US citizens is consumer based inflation …food prices, fuel prices, used car prices, et.al. People have to live and survive in the current macroeconomic system that central bankers – to be fair – of necessity, have created.
The solution to Japan’s problem in 1989-90 peak valuation superbubble and follow-on debacle was a near zero interest rate monetary policy … which has resulted in a Nikkei valuation to date of about 12,000 points below its 1989 high, 32-33 years ago. That’s a long time and would be the future for the US equity, commodity, and real estate super bubble the US central bank created problem but for the caveat that negative golbal sovereign interest rates and further cyclical ‘quantitative easing’ with sequential 1-1.5 % , 0 to 0.5 %, and negative interest rate targets, can extend and do a world of good for equity valuations – all in cyclical time. The offsetting counterveiling problem to these further US central bank money creation strategies is that it will occur at the expense of the pyramid base of those who are the absolute essentials of the asset-debt macroeconomic system. The US working class are now being killed by the quantitative easing and near zero interest rate policy propelled consumer priced inflation. Those are the real Americans who I served for 28 years in the US military to protect and the ones, who do their jobs everyday, and whom I respect.
There is no good way out of this 1807 36/90/90 year :: x/2.5x/2.5x US asset-debt macroeconomic system problem. Maybe this conundrum calls for the solution of a US-Russia Pretzel Hold dilemma. (See below). HB GU.
A few years ago at the World Amateur Wrestling Championship, there was a pairing of an experienced and undefeated Russian heavyweight wrestler going up against an inexperienced, upstart American heavyweight.
The main reason for the Russian wrestler’s success was a hideous hold he had developed called the ‘pretzel hold’. He had pinned every wrestler he had faced using this hold. It was called the ‘Pretzel hold’ because when the hold was applied, his opponent’s body would resemble the shape of a pretzel. Once applied, no wrestler had ever been able to escape the hold.
When the match between the Russian and the American began, it was evident that the American had superior quickness, but the Russian was stronger and was just laying in wait for the American to make a mistake so he could apply the pretzel hold. Sure enough, that opportunity soon came to play and the Russian grabbed the American and applied the hold. The crowd groaned and the American wrestler’s trainers had to look away in horror as they couldn’t bear to watch their wrestler’s certain demise.
Unbelievably, once the Russian tried pinning the American and the referee had reached the count of two, the American escaped the hold and with what can only be described as superhuman strength, grabbed the Russian, made a hold reversal, and pinned the Russian.
After the match, the media surrounded the American wrestler and one reporter asked him, “How did you do it? You’ve never faced this Russian wrestler before and he applied the pretzel hold on you. No one has ever escaped the hold and you escaped it with apparent ease.”
The American wrestler replied, “Well, I was in so much pain that I was trying to find the referee to submit the match, but when I was trying to find him all I could see was a pair of balls right in front of my face.”
“I sensed an opportunity and bit them as hard as I could.”
“They were mine.”
With the Russian “peacekeeping” force deployed to Ukraine after a rambling one hour address by the Russian president is it possible that Putin is the prophesied “senile leader”? Something seems really off with his actions and behaviour of late and even his closest political allies look frightened.
“is it possible that Putin is the prophesied “senile leader”? ”
LOL LOL NO he is not senile..

This story will tell you everything you want or should know about PUTIN….
1 He loves his country
2. He takes his job seriously
3. He will defend his country to the very end even if that means he has to sacrifice his own life in doing his job.
4. He will protect the people of his country to the best of his ability.
5. He gave the eight men a way to save face and move on.. because he not only valued his job but their lives as well..
6. It has nothing to do with silver coins
7. The only places he has gone into were countries that invited him in asking for his help..
8. body language specialists don’t see deception in his mannerisms..
What do we know of our administration.. well there are a lot of accusations but the agencies in charge did hide and destroy the laptop hard drive.. those that read people by their body actions.. have all said basically the same thing about Putin in their evaluations.. after watching Brandon.. well they didn’t come out and say it.. but when they put a bell to it.. it sort of sounded like a phone ringing..

There was areally good documentary on television the other day about the above.. and today the Ukraine is the major hub of child trafficking for the globe. ( it always ends up to be about the money)

We are there for the raw resources… and the Silver and gold coins that some oligarch can get for it.. the other reason.. the country is in a very good military strategic location..

Does putin love the luxuries of money absolutely we all do and in his position he has been able to manage to get his own to enjoy.. but for him it is not all about the silver coin but more of honor, country, family and the people that he protects. https://www.sho.com/the-putin-interviews. excelent interview of him.. he is very open and candid on his thoughts.. while our country should be listening to their own analysts on this and maybe take some time to read the reports they are given .. if an unedjumicated old dingbat in the middle of the wastelands can and understand what is written in them.. they maybe could if they could get some of their marbles together in one basket and quit taking off for recess.. of course when I was in grade school recess was my favorite class….
it isn’t about the money for him where those he is opposing.. that is their major reasons…
Loob, seems like you have more love for Putin then most Russians do, only 6% of Russians see the West as an enemy, most do not support Putin and his invasion!

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/2/22/russians-bemoan-putins-decision-to-recognise-republics:
Alexey Krapukhin, a member of the liberal party Yabloko’s regional council in Moscow, told Al Jazeera: “Yesterday’s decision by Putin to recognise the LNR and DPR has put Russia on the path to social, financial and political catastrophe.”
On Sunday, a group of six protesters unfurled banners reading “Russia, don’t touch Ukraine!” in Moscow, only to be immediately taken away by police.
I agree. That’s why I used inverted commas. We all know people who were at the top of their game for a lifetime……until they weren’t. Putin is undoubtedly intelligent and a master strategist, and yet this latest move seems a touch unhinged. The risk/reward calculation is skewed by a rush for grandeur and restoration of empire. Out of character. Desperate, no matter how well choreographed.
Nostradamus’ “senile leader” may be referring to a respected, seasoned leader who has held power for a long time but finally succumbs to delusions of grandeur as the clock counts down to their ultimate demise.
A short video clip I meant to attach to my earlier comments. A rare glimpse of Putin’s demeanour, body language, anger in his eyes, fingers drumming the desk……

@Winter
What if Putin is merely Xi’s gambit? What if the object of the game really IS Taiwan, and Xi volunteered full support and cooperation in Ukraine, as long as Putin made enough noise to get everybody’s war machine into Ureope?
Keep an eye on our battle group movements…
You ok george ? Nah really ? You ok
G, I am not as learned as you on this subject, but this seems to be an electronics breakthrough of significant potential.

I think of that 4 by 4 cube back in the early seventies.. it was a hologram of the earth real time.. at that time when I seen it.. I thought dam I could reach down and touch a hurricane or the top of mount everest.. it was and still is one of the most amzing things I had seen..
back in the mid nineties.. russia was going to sell their satellite images.. there was a story in the news paper.. with that I logged on.. and you could get a six hundred foot blocked area dam good.. they said they were thinking about selling their image capabilities of a six foot by six foot for farmers.. Now we all know that never happened.. but if they could do a six foot by six foot.. which I am pretty sure they did.. as a kid we logged out a lens and on top of a building us kids would take pictures of the pilots picking his nose flying into National airport.. the cheap spotting scope I bought as gifts from china says ten mile radius but it only really does a mile where you can read a small street sign.. and heck what do you want for fifteen dollars LOL.. so does this new technology exist.. I am going to say.. absolutely.. don’t go out and pee by a tree anytime soon .. you never know who is going to be watching..
