Food for thought: How many of us were exhausted yesterday and/or the day before? We had a “surprise” geomagnetic storm that was rather intense, according to spaceweather.com, and there were a few immediate effects. The weather here was awful – cold with blasts of snow and rain, when it’s supposed to be Spring! The worst part was zero personal energy despite overdosing myself with coffee and supplements. I even had to take a long nap in the afternoon(no dreams noticed). After consulting two friends, I found that each of them had a similar experience, and they each lived 50-100 miles away in different directions. Sometimes storm effects can be magnified at higher elevations, but this was ridiculous. Beyond that, my cellphone battery refused to charge over 91% even after being rebooted with zero active apps. For some reason, it’s recovered to 99% as of this morning. So have I. I can’t explain this, but I’d certainly like to be able to find a valid reason for it. It seems rather woo-woo to me. I have found that I get such negative effects after an x-ray – even a digital dental one, though not as severe.
After this solar incident, what might be waiting for us next month? How do we prep for a sudden loss of personal energy and virtual narcolepsy?

My husband is on several medications for a rare neurological issue that so far as we know, doesn’t even have a name. For the last 24+ hours, he’d been in terrible pain, and had the lucidity of a drunk person, but he hadn’t been drinking. It was a terrible day for him. I believe the space weather was the reason for this. For anyone who can still turn their health around for the better, do not delay this. For those like my husband, it’ll only get worse in the coming years.

Some of us need to range far and wide, and these risks are known. Carrying cash makes sense, other than potential road stops when out of state, where cash is considered contraband until proven otherwise, and sometimes even then. I’d say having sufficient cash*2 to get back to home base is prudent, at least. Having reliable friends along the way, and always being one, is another safeguard. Next month seems to be especially hazardous for some reason. Regardless, we need to do what we need to do.
The movies/TV/media seem to have an encoded message of a creepy/martial future. That’s bad, and may or may not be real. The destruction of food processing, fertilizer, and transportation systems is certainly real. Since “reality” is influenced by consensus, prudence may be indicated.

I ran across a huge carton of old books in an store house across the pier from my ship when I was in the Navy so I gravitated to it like a magnet to steel and fished out one that was autographed by Lillian Gish. On road trips, I have towed a small covered trailer with enough supplies organized in plastic trunks to set up shop where I landed, then rented a storage place to house the trailer and serve as remote logistics hub.
If you roll by bus to cut transport cost, then a wheeled duffle or travel pack (I still lust after an Osprey, even if I’ll never use one again) and a rental closet may have to do. Raingear, a sleeping bag and water filter are something you want to have with you, even if you have a Sponsor attending to your needs. Nowadays a cell phone with a big data budget and a variety of charging crapola come in handy (AC, DC and solar). A trip to the grocery store as soon as you have access to a place to cook will help with expenses as well. The bushcraft pots and skillets work in both primitive or all-electric scenarios. I use them in my kitchen.
Having the basic personal logistics worked out and scalable does not detract from the journey; it allows you to concentrate on the tasks. Keep in touch.

But, there is still one disconnect that you need to forever remove from your thought process. You say you like his “policies”. Let me be clear…Trump has zero aptitude of domestic or global policy making and never will. Trump’s narrow cognitive abilities only are focused on the equivalent of broadcast ratings of Trump. Nothing else matters. The policies were conjured up by his staff and cabinet…all of which eventually through up their hands in disgust and then wrote books about their awful experiences. The policies you mention are long standing GOP policies and all decent members of Congress have been pushing those policies for years. It’s the extremes on both sides of the aisle that usually stand in the way of adoption of those policies.
I am sure there is a more qualified and less feeble GOP representative that can stand up and be noticed to lead us in the right direction…I would support such a candidate and would quickly re-set my allegiances to the right if that happened. The problem is…Does it sell advertising on Networks and social media to do so? Division is a ratings nirvana…unfortunately.

A tectonic shift of plates at the global dinner table will quietly commence this evening in the North Atlantic. Clocks in Greenland will move forward 1 hour tonight observing daylight savings time. Therefore most of the island will go from -3 to -2 hours gmt. However next October there will not be the usual fallback of one hour in time. The Kingdom of Denmark appears to want Greenland to have an extra hour in the business day so as to become more synchronized with Europe.

I went to a place to see a friend at a place. while standing outside some random dude walks up, hands me 2 pairs of socks and says, I got the wrong color of socks. you want these. i replied, yes, I will take them. thank you.
now that stuff happens all the time in my life. i think this is the best form of prepping for survival. that stuff happens daily in my life. I wonder if it does for everyone else all the time too and I’m just the last one to find out. I’m pretty used to it now. oh I only got 3 cigarettes, get air in my tires and 3 packs are now on my seat. came out of thin air. huh. okay. cool. thanks. happens all the time.

here is where today starts really getting interesting. I mean beyond the normal stuff like walking into the right bathroom stall on a ginormous 5th floor where there is 13 other stalls in that bathroom i could have walked into and 5 other bathrooms to find the exact phone charger i needed on a toilet paper dispenser with nobody around, kinda stuff.
I had a couple boxes of stuff in the trunk of my car. I thought well I will head home unload those in my room. I backed up my car and unloaded a few boxes. one with just books busted from the bottom and a red notebook fell out. I placed the box where was going.
went back and grabbed the random notebook off the ground. I opend it up and it was a journal I wrote from 2004. I totally forgot about it. I usually burn old journals. somehow, this one journal had made it through the last 19 years without me ever seeing it since I wrote it.
on the very last page was 2 autographs from a lead singer and a drummer from a famous rock band and it was addressed to a friend who is a HUGE fan. I was looking at it and thought ohhh yeah I ran into those two in a gas station in Aberdeen Washington way back in June of 2004. I told my buddy had like 20 t-shirts of their band and that is all he ever wears. so they wrote a personal note to him and signed it. I looked them up and the lead singer died 6 months later and the drummer died 6 months ago.
I called my buddy and I had never told him before. you will never guess what I just found. he laughed and screamed and said that is amazing dude!!!! I said I forgot all about that. I will bring them to you tonight. I’m gonna go up to an old spot on the beach I haven’t been to in a couple years.
as I read the journal. it was alot of anger and pain. when I wrote it, I was really hitting a bottom with anger. and fighting all the time. I used to have a super short fuse. I been in alot alot alot alot of fist fights. I remember going to counseling the counselor told me to journal about my feelings instead of whopping someone’s ass at the gas station. so that is what I did. and I went to the gym and worked out to relax better. take that anger out on a heavy bag instead.
I thought wow, I’ve grown so much and although I’m not afraid to get bloody and down in the gravel and dirt all sweaty. I don’t do it very often much anymore. haven’t in a long while.
I’m not so angy anymore. there is alot less pain in me.
so I got up to a place on the beach I hadn’t been to in a long time. when I got there, I took out the autographs and decided to burn it to relase all that pain and anger. so weird how that journal has traveled with me through 2 marriages and divorces, to California and back several times to Alaska, Idaho and I never noticed it or lost it or threw it away. hadn’t even opened it in 19 years.
so I had a smoke. then I decided to get out of the car and go to my spot to burn it. when I got to the spot i was going to burn it.
a Shaman dude i know really well, I hadn’t seen in over 2 years was there. he said how cool. I haven’t been to this spot in over 2 years. almost as long as it’s been since I seen you Andy. I said dude! I haven’t been here in 2 years either! he said come over here. I came up to start this bonfire, because the great spirit told me too.
I walked down on the beach and he had made a bonfire. he said I was at home. I was laying there and I heard go to the beach where you were 2 years ago and saw Andy. start a fire. so I did. and here you are. whatcha got in your hand Andy.
I said duuuuudde! I found this old journal today. it’s 19 years old. it’s full of pain and anger. I didn’t even know I still had it. I been carrying it around with me for 19 years. forgot all about it. I thought i should go to my old place on the beach and burn it. so here I am.
I said I release you. and I laid it in the fire. as it lay there on the fire. the flames opened it up and turned a single page burned it to ash then went to the next page and pulled it open and burned it to ash. like the fire was hand turning the page and reading it.
after we sang a song. talked and caught up. laughed and I said I gotta go take my buddy his present I got him 19 years ago. that autograph from the lead singer and drummer of his all time favorite band. we exchanged numbers and as I was leaving I ran into a lady I hadn’t seen in a few years too. talked with her a while. she just bought an older Porsche, 1993 911 turbo. very nice car.
as I drove away. I felt so much peace wash over me.
like a spiritual orgasm. so amazing!
Every morning I wake up and say thank you DUDE for another day of life. I’m super excited to see what you have planned.

after it was cleaned up, I was sent to work the exit door. I went in and out the exit door, laughing my ass off inside and made sure everyone knew when they left they couldn’t enter back in that way.
now you know the saying, “does the carpet match the drapes or do you have hardwoods?” it’s a reference a ladys to eyebrows matching her other hair or it being shaved.” and when you are standing by the back door reminding everyone it’s an “exit only” after standing next to “the wet spot” on “the hard woods” for an hour, the day after you see an all access badge to the hardwood classics with your name on it.

I would interpret the gift of two pairs of socks as a cosmic hint to pay more attention to basic skills, like dressing properly. For nomadics, a pair of light padded merino wool socks and four pairs of Gobi sock liner would be the minimum to keep with me. Get some proper footwear. I think about this stuff. like when i found that phone charger. there 5 other bathrooms up there. i could have chose not to go in the bathroom at all. I could have decided to chose to enter 13 other different stalls to clean my glasses or went to a totally different bathroom with 14 other stalls on each of them. but I walked into the right bathroom that had my phone charger.
