Profound Truth Arrives

Glorious it is brethren when the Universe sends you a profound message of Truth. I was looking up the latest draft of a House bill just now and this is what the Congressional Servers dished up:

Minutes?  (coughs)  Years, maybe?

So simple. So True.  So…um…on point.

  3. perfect day to make sweet mustard eggs

    Roughly 3-18 packs of eggs (boiled and peeled)
    -2 cups Apple cider vinegar
    -1 cup white sugar
    -1 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup mustard
    1 tbsp mustard seed
    -1 tsp tumeric
    -1 tsp garlic powder
    -1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    -1/2-1 cup sliced peppers

    Place peeled eggs in a glass container. Combine all the above ingredients except the eggs, simmer until sugar is melted. Pour over eggs in container, this will not fill the gallon container. Top off the gallon container with white vinegar. Slowly shake to combine. Refrigerate. Pickled eggs are best if you allow them to sit in the brine for at least 1 month, the longer they sit the better they are. Enjoy!

  4. Barge Alert!

    Date: April 12, 2024

    At 11:25 p.m., Pittsburgh Fire, EMS, and Police were dispatched for reports of barges breaking loose and floating uncontrolled down the Ohio River.

    In total, 26 barges broke loose; 23 were loaded and three were empty. Those that were loaded had dry cargo such as coal, and no hazardous materials on board. There have been no reports of people injured, but Peggy’s Marina sustained extensive damage.

    • OUCH …

      Barges get loose on the Ohio and Mississippi on a regular basis, but usually it is one or just 3 or max of 6 (two groups of 3 across), often during high water events or not going through a lock properly.

      For 26 to break free somebody screwed up BIGGLY. Somebody has some serious Egg Face now that they will NEVER live down as long as they are working the river.
