Prepping and the Art of PH&LP

Personal Hysteresis and Latency Planning. Which is totally worth  (verging on absolutely  necessary) considering when markets are running hard and fast while we’re all trying to figure out how to make “the most” out of what have turned into very uncertain times.

We’ll begin with some basics of “cause and effect” then move to a discussion of the difference between latency and hysteresis.

How these apply to managing your personal life is seldom taught in schools, though Life’s a fine teacher for the attentive student.

        • As a knowledgeable site says on point

“Delivering bitcoin transaction data to miners requires internet-enabled devices. As a digital currency, you cannot buy, sell or exchange bitcoin without the internet. As such, even a single day without internet access could cost bitcoin miners, exchanges, and traders millions.”

      • Is there any value to keeping some cryptos offshore in a less red, white & blue hemispherical locale for contingencies, not that I would ever think about doing that?

Possibly. The issue will be: When the HEMPs start popping, who will still have Internet. I can think of no-one, except possibly servers on that part of Antarctica that’s nearest to South America, provided they’re cabled into Chile. I don’t see Chile having Internet though, so…

If a Bitcoin falls on an ice floe and no one hears it, does it, in fact, even exist…?

Like I said before, even the USD will have purchasing power for a few weeks after a grid hard-down, because people have faith in the physical fiat, until they don’t. The only way a crypto can achieve a similar status is if it incarnates itself as a physical currency and becomes accepted as a means of exchange (which, I think, would make it no longer a crypto.)

    • If you check out the past several years’ issues of the major RV newsletter, “RV Travel,” you’ll discover that buying a NEW RV is about the worst thing you can do. They’re being built in a rush with cheap parts and no quality control. People have spent up to a quarter million dollars on a unit, only to have to park it on a repair lot within a month and then wait for up to six months for parts and/or a qualified repair person. Some units never do get fully fixed. You’d be incredibly lucky to buy a new RV that you could actually travel in immediately without problems that are severe enough to force you off the road. All RVs have some problems (I’ve owned them for 29 years), but they were built better in previous years, so you could fix them yourself or spend minimal time in a repair shop.

      • A friend bought a very nice Class A with little use, almost new, for about $100k and on his first trip out of town the engine blew and cost him $50k to replace.
If I were in the market, I wouldn’t even consider an RV much newer than 2005, Cummins diesel pusher, 3 slides and less than 25,000 miles.

      • Yes, you are correcto.

In our SMALL big city and surrounding millions of people area, the RV sole mobile mechanics are banking $500 just to come take a look see; if you go out 30 – 70 miles to an independent shop, they gotta send 2 people from the repair shop, and that’s $450 just for the trip, not for the diagnosis. That’s just to take a look see; that’s not the price of the parts, the delay in getting the parts, and the labor to fix them.

Our wonderful 21 year old RV purchased from an old con artist, the slide broke on the first showing, but we paid to have it fixed and checked out and replaced the cylinders for the slides, and had it serviced, but the RV repair shop are also on the con artist business, for example, a $400 pre buy check MISSED: windshield wipers don’t work, a/c broken, starter issues, batteries low, one stabilizer would not go back up on its own, hydraulic system did not work correctly, light cover broken, the first time we emptied the gray and black water (this was a few months later), the connections just broke down and off!!! Crap all over the place!!! And the third time we used the slides, the hydraulic hose ruptured and the slides no longer work; it appears as if they nipped them when they pushed in the slides manually!!! Gosh I have forgotten now, what else. WHEN I called them back over the immediate issues one week later, I got the con around, very nice gent, perfect voice seemed so nice, but basically said the guy that repaired and checked out the RV could not remember our rig, and, oh by the way, they are not mechanics (which they did not disclose up front)!!! Yeah, as it turns out they are ROOF REPAIRERS using your insurance; that’s their specialty!!!

Anyway, the point is, it is not only buyer beware from the seller to the buyer, but taking it to any place to have it pre-checked or repaired is a crap shoot, too. Long story short, you don’t want to know what the repair cost to the 21 year old RV is.

Oh, and guess what. IF you go to the manufacturer, they have a fine-looking all sweet and rosy website that will let you put in your zip code so you can find a REPUTABLE RV Repair shop, approved by them supposedly. Within 500 miles, I kid you not, the TWO that came up, after calling them, would NOT work on an RV over 10 years old!!! And no, they could not recommend anyone that did!!! That’s another dirty little secret in the RV selling and repair world; 10 years old or older, tough luck.

And if you can get through to the manufacturer, Winnebago, and ASK for the schematics for the slide system so you could try to fix it yourself, it took TWO months for them to call back, and if you missed their call, good luck, back on the call list you go.

Then, you finally get to talk to someone in THEIR shop and guess what, he’ll send you a picture, non pdf, that you cannot size, and you will squint to try to make out how to fix anything AND he’ll give you the short short short mechanic course over the phone in a huff and gruff cause he’s really too busy to talk to you.

So, when you get a good RV, it’s truly heaven, but when you get one like we got, the downside just sits on you heart like an old weight. Are we going to fix as much of this ourselves, absolutely, but just a little story repeated ad infinitum across the USA.

      • ” I kid you not, the TWO that came up, after calling them, would NOT work on an RV over 10 years old!!!”

Count your blessings RV…I had ( and still do.. ) a leaky power steering hose.. took it in.. the kid is fresh out of mechanics school..they teach them..punch in the computer the symptoms..so he punched it in and put a whole new steering rack in.. still leaky hose.. in the process of doing that he loosened a brake line so the brakes were leaking..no brakes.. took it back ..this time the outer told the mechanics to put in a matter cylinder.. he didnt fox the loose brake line or the leaking power steering hose..
I now dont have brakes or steering.. so i take it back..the mechanic says well its fixed..did you drive it.. I told the kid toss the computer and look for the leaking hose the hose squirting you in the face is the culprit..
And do you have the coupon.. what coupon he asked.. the one for a free casket.. you have to have brakes and steering in winter.. well this time the boss goes with him and fixed the leaking brake line.. I had to point at it and say watch there while I press the brake..all of this i had to pay for.
All the while theyare telling me this kid was the top of his class.. I said..heaven help us..

      • @LOOB

This is why I do my own troubleshooting. It is also why I know that shops which repair tractors and heavy equipment, and diesel shops, all have high-pressure hose crimping apparatus, and all of them can make a new high quality power steering hose or bend a new high-pressure air conditioning or turbocharger tube, in a few minutes, and usually for much less money than a (made in China) hose, belt, or tube costs at your local, national car parts store chain.

“Brakes” was the first job I learned how to do on a car. When I was 14, I could do a 2-wheel brake job in 15 minutes.

I don’t do brakes any more. Most brake pads & shoes are guaranteed for life now, and a quality shop will guarantee their work for life, too. (It’s not beneficence, it is a calculated bet, that you will sell, trade, or wreck your car before your brake linings wear away.)

ALSO, I know where to get stuff. For instance, “RV’s” slide-outs are oversized drawer slides, available from Alro or a bunch of other structural steel shops, and the motors or actuators which make them slide in and out can be had new from Surplus Sales, for a few percent of the cost of the part with the “Winnebago” stamped on it. It’ll likely have the same part number and may even be American-made NOS. The Winnie’s windshield wiper bits are GM, as are most of its chassis parts. A lot of the mechanicals interchange with Prevost bus parts.

RVs are incredibly expensive, and their value drops like a ton of lead as soon as they’re purchased. Most people who work on RVs believe the RV’s owners are all wealthy, else they couldn’t be driving a vehicle which cost between $200k and $2.1million.

I see lots of 20-30yo Class-A’s for between $5-8k. They ALL need work — perhaps a lot of work, but every one is a place to start. Every used car needs work, sometimes a lot. This is why I advise the kiddies to budget 30% of their used car bankroll for repairs. My budget for an old RV might dedicate 50-60% for R&R. RVs are typically lugged, and not driven much. I’ve known several owners who drove their land yachts for 3-4 vacations, and never used them again, except as a guest bedroom. That doesn’t mean the RVs don’t rust, corrode, and leak, and engines, transmissions, & gensets don’t dry out and crap themselves.

GOD RAY… I wished that I could…. I use to… I can make just about any creature comforts that we need.. ( if I have the crap to do it..) But have to have my grandkids do it and me tell them how..
my body started to give out twenty plus years ago.. what I didn’t know was the chemicals etc.. that I did when I worked day labor making pesticides and cleaning chemicals and running photo labs.. you cannot even buy the chems to do kodachrome in the usa anymore.. we use to go through thousands of gallons.. took their tole on the body and the issues I had when young just proceeded to get worse… As I aged it got worse.. ( Thinking about that.. now consider that disgusting corrupt perv.. with power that loves drugs and every other disgusting activity.. god I bet those other countries supplying him are laughing all the way… I am sure they give that POS the very best and the most corrosive ( heck why they even could be adding a little rat poison or worse.. I figured that the old man would have had it all legalized so that it had to be what they say it is without any additives.. consider cigarettes and a mild Benzine, nichotine spray on parchment paper LOL a way to get you hooked even more LOL flavor inhancers LOL.. LOL) besides the other crap they give him or the disgusting things they allow him privilege’s to do.. just for their compliance.. ( a pimps way.. they own his azz LOL and let him distroy himself.. ) seems it builds up in your body.. and boy did it do a lot of damage.. right now I have use of one hand and the other is on the mend from the weather changes.. and my sight.. I am blind.. I have to have my nose right on top of it.( my biggest fear when I started to go blind was I wouldn’t be able to read.. dam that scared me.. had prof’s from several colleges tell me that they would send students if I had a room they could stay in just to read to me for extra credit. and all my grandkids.. The way I read would drive them to drinking.). ( blindness is why I do cardboard projects.. I don’t use the table saw , bandsaw etc.. anymore..I have no depth of field you could get hurt..) My kids all know that the tool sluts tools are for the grandkids.. if they want to build a house or whatever the tools are theirs’s and when they do get their own shop etc.. the tools go into it .. the ones they want.. I had thought about selling them.. but heck its crap.. and what I would get at a sale I wouldn’t get any enjoyment over.. but to know that the kids or grandkids can make something for themselves gives me a lot of satisfaction.. I have one grandson that is a construction engineer.. and a son in law that is a construction engineer. I think he is doing a bunch of bridges someplace down in Georges neck of the woods..
At least I am not in a wheel chair anymore.. and get around fairly easy..

        GOD RAY… I wished that I could…. I use to”

You found your leaky power steering line, didn’t you?

        I didn’t say “fix,” I implied “find.”

Once upon a time I sprang for $300 for an alternator, because some greenhorn kid with an electronic box determined my work truck’s alternator was bad, even though I knew the bad part of my electrical system was the truck’s battery.

A week later, I went back to the garage and exchanged my bad Interstate battery for a new, Interstate battery. The $300? Pissed away, probably to buy a Chinese alternator which will die at ~500 hours of use.

        Never again.

Like you, I knew better, and put my trust in a kid 10 years younger than my son, because he had a magic box.

I strongly suggest you never take a wrench’s recommendation over your common sense, again. Remember: “Fool me once…”

    • “Possibly. The issue will be: When the HEMPs start popping, who will still have Internet.”

DAM RAY….That is an interesting question and one further from the bottom is.. WILL THEY STILL BILL US for services..

      • Without the internet, you probably won’t get a bill—for ANYTHING! Manual calculations will be almost impossible, and even if they do manage to overcome that hurdle, there will be no online billing and the snail mail will be in such chaos a paper bill may never be delivered.

  2. “what is the non-computer way to regain access to one’s “stored wealth?””

Go to the bank this morning and ask.

As I said in the past I went around and around with the City Treasurer when I paid property taxes. In the end if the city network and all back-ups become unrecoverable they may accept a canceled check print directly from the bank proving I paid property taxes. The city will trust nothing from me.

How much physical cash is in a bank. If you are good with a bank manager ask. There’s not billions or even millions. Go to the bank and ask about withdrawing 100K. They might have to order the cash, by computer, for a next-truck withdraw.

If something big, big happens it’ll be the reset. Government may give everyone $2,500 of new digital currency to get the ball rolling. Just like restarting a Monopoly game.

    • In case you did not know this years ago under the FALSE narrative of keeping money out of robbers hands. The feds put limits on what banks can have on hand in cash form and they established FINES if you were caught having to much from depositors, they ARE required to remove that money from the bank.
Of course you can really guess the true reason and it has nothing to do with what a BANK robber MIGHT be able to take as we are only talking peanuts in reality. Once again the sheeple were lied to and accepted it without any questions. 99% anyway did.

      • If I have to go to the bank and they are running low on cash, I’m taking all I can. The people in line behind me can wait for the truck.

Russia won’t be blamed for a grid-down. Internals will catch the rap. I think all governments work together.

Electric grid is ‘attractive target’ for domestic violent extremists in US, intel brief says

(CNN)Domestic violent extremists will “likely continue” to plot and encourage physical attacks against electrical infrastructure in the United States, according to a recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence briefing obtained by CNN.

      • I use to stop by the bank after work just before they would open.. have coffee with the people working etc.. one day.. they were getting the tills ready to open.. and had fifteen hundred in each till.. then said.. don’t tell anyone that is all we have.. LOL LOL LOL… the money is in digital format on paper..

      • It had to be at least 10 – 13 years ago, a family member asked me to take money out of his Wells Fargo account, $30k in cash. The bank did not have it, had to order it, and I picked it up several days later. I had a good conversation with the bank manager that day about what was going on in the country and the financial markets.

AS you know, a rule went into effect, that the banks are supposed to report ANY transaction of $10k cash in or out to the FBI for tracking of possible money laundering.

So, IF you want to get cash out of the bank, you have to do 2 things: 1) get started now, and 2) don’t take out over $10k at a time, and maybe not even $10k in one month (research further/ask questions).

So, you see, it can get pretty tricky pretty fast.

Our bank has enacted no cash over $2,500k through the drive through have to go inside to the lobby. Lobby hours have been cut.

I think it’s better to have cash on hand in case you need it. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. You can always redeposit in back into the bank; keep the original withdrawal receipt, and IF you are questioned, show them the paper trail, and they should not report you.

Make friends with your tellers, go to the same bank, pretty soon, you will be called by name. YES, it still happens because most people online bank and never go in person any longer so the youngsters working the teller positions are happy to greet people. I always go up to the drive through window that I can see and talk to people and look them in the eye; however, not all drive throughs have that feature any longer, so try to go inside during lobby hours; it really makes a difference.

      • And banks are now required to “know your customer”, so tellers are encouraged to chat up their customers in an attempt to discern if there is money laundering going on. When I retired and moved to another island, my bank had a branch here. The first time I visited the new branch the teller was quite chatty and curious why I was banking here instead of back in the ‘big city’. I had no problems telling her my retirement story, but I knew the aim of the conversation from her end.

      • “have cash on hand in case you need it. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.”

You know got cash.. that is why everyone that went through the depression had money hidden around the house or buried in jars..
Wealthy people instantly discovered they were penniless after the banks closed..
Gold..I use tohave a photo of people going out to trade gold and silver for vegitables..bitcoin..heck you cant even wipe with that lol.. on the show the colony on amazon prime.. there was a segment where a trader came by.. a simple bic disposable razor was worth to thematically great deal in trade.. money had no value.. if you had ten pounds of flour.. how much would you part with for an ounce of gold..

      • The banking industry lives by the actuary’s spreadsheet.

A bank’s actuary has a complete history of the amount of currency which passes through every bank branch, every day, buffered by day of week, day of month, and seasonal concerns (like holidays or vacations.) My bank’s tellers typically have $3000 in the drawer. The branch safe is stocked daily, typically with 20% more cash than the actuarial department says they’ll need.

If I wanted to withdraw $1000 that’d be no problem. If I wanted to withdraw $100,000 (somebody would first have to give me about $98k) I would have to notify the bank two days in-advance so they could requisition the cash from the main branch, which would requisition it from the regional clearinghouse bank, which would requisition it from the Federal Reserve, which would deliver it to my branch on the morning of the second day. It would come from the nearest physical FRB which had a $100k actuarial surplus laying around.

I don’t know how it’s done in Liberal bastions but out here in flyover, we trust people to not steal (and shoot them if they violate our trust…) We also have mag-locks on all bank doors so no one comes in if’fn the cameras can’t see their faces, and some banks have ferrous metal detectors in their walls to announce when a customer is carrying.

      • Our business got kicked out of a bank with them using the money laundering rules…I went to DC and met with our Senator’s chief of staff and were told ZERO people had been prosecuted under that law and it was useless (apparently it only ‘catches’ law abiding people because the ‘terrorists’ the law supposedly was for only use cash and NO banks), but there was nothing they could/would do to assure our business wouldn’t keep losing banks. Found out later the bank just didn’t want to do all the reporting. We were a “cash intensive” business. Yes, that’s an official irservice definition.

Then around 15 years ago we were audited by the irservice because we were red flagged for having naughty withdrawals. They accused us of owning a hotel, having safe deposit boxes, and all sorts of other things, as well as, forcing us to hand over our electronic bookkeeping files, and doing an office visit where they accused us of many other things in front of employees. It took them 14 months (two months longer than legally allowed) and then they tried to get us to sign a document allowing them to continue their audit. After an er visit with slurred speech from the massive stress, I decided to call someone for help. He said don’t sign the document as they have no right to do it and you’ve done more than anyone would ever do. He made one phone call and the hell was finally over – no charge. What they told him is something they could have asked in a short letter and we could have answered in a short letter. All they had to do was ask us what the withdrawals and deposits were for…or, duh, all they really had to do was look at our tax return and compare our business with others like ours and they never would have ‘needed’ to threaten me and send me to the er. Yes, they made me go to the federal building in our area and talk to the auditor’s supervisor where I broke down crying from the stress and blubbered all the way home and had my wife take me to the er after my speech started slurring and difficulty walking. We have video of this. We didn’t owe them a single penny more than we had already paid when we originally filed the return when the nightmare was all done.
Oddly, the guy who resolved it with one call died out of the blue a few weeks later.
Oh, the a$$hole$ told our guy I “was difficult to work with” and they threatened to audit us again. LOL, no one has ever been more easy to work with…I bent over backwards being a goody two shoes to give them everything they wanted as quickly as possible. I guess when you breakdown from 14 months of stress that you suddenly become “difficult”. They destroyed my health and tried to destroy our business and turn our employees against us. Thankfully, we had always been good to our employees and they had been with us a long time. Well, they haven’t been back…14 months of there being nothing to find is a great deterrent to a future audit I guess and I’m guessing that auditor probably got fired for not being able to justify all the billable time on our audit. If they come back I won’t talk to them…I’ll hire someone immediately…I refuse to be abused like that again…thought I was doing the right thing talking to them/cooperating. Nope. We no longer own that business. Sold it. Too much risk with all the crap going on. We were withdrawing over 13millioncash each year when we sold so I’m sure there were over 250 reflagged days each year for 18 years. F-IRS
NEVER talk to ANY fed. Always hire a representative. It’s cheaper than a hospital bill and losing your health for several years…still haven’t fully recovered.
Keep your cash withdrawals under $8,500 per day. They say 10k, but there are reports for 8,500 too. FJB wants reports for 600 or more of any deposit (cash, check, transfer, etc, NOT just withdrawals) per year…um, that will be just about everyone being reported on.
I may or may not be done with my rant now…not sure. Stayed up to trade London, took the GBP/JPY back up. Time for some sleep.

        • Wonderful – educational report/.

Even so, My consigliere would likely advise – as he has me – to be very careful of what are called “structuring” rules. Need to look into them.

That’s what get’s hauled out to f*ckk with honest people who pay their taxes and they can’t find a legal means to otherwise jerk ’em around.

          Or run for high office.

Then you can structure, inside trade and get a fat cat retirement.

Of course, since you’re reading Urban, your moral character is probably too good/high for such alternatives.

Crime then? Hispanic surname change? And a car license #13…. There are other tracks.

flyover wastelands is really family oriented Ray.. when you read about all the crap I get emotional when it comes to damaging children.. give them a chance to find their own way but be kids first.. It is like that here family oriented laid back in the Wastelands of the great planes… I left my CC at a place long before we moved here.. I didn’t know where I left it.. finally I had called the small station and asked.. they said oh yea but we knew you would be back in LOL… I do business there all the time… dropped my phone out of my pocket.. came back to the buggie and there it was.. someone had picked it up and placed it on the windshield. I never even heard of Racial discrimination when I was young..It isn’t something you noticed until you get to a big city.. there are good and bad in all places and in all races and religions.. be the blind man.
The big thing is it is rare and few that evil like that.. there isn’t a part of any city except Minneapolis now that they defunded the police its like dodge city there..you can’t walk up and down the sidewalk without being mugged.and no one smiles…everyone looks at the ground..
I was in Sam’s Club and some guy from LA and I got talking.. he had just moved here.. what surprised him was no one cared about the fact that he carried a gun..( in an old west style holster to LOL) I laughed and said.. hell everyone has a gun here.. they just frown on it if you bring one into shoot your turkey for thanksgiving.. LOL they figure its already dead and frozen you shouldn’t have to..
I get that.. but about eighty percent have them on them or in the car..
everyone hunts here.. ( except me.. I get mine already shot and frozen LOL) you can sit out in the evening..( a favorite activity of mine and the mrs.)
If your grilling out then BOB the patrolman.. ( he has a sixth sense if your grilling) stops by to say hi.. burgers and brats are on and we share.. If he or one of his coworkers were to be walking up to the door all somber.. I would be scared because someone got hurt..
When I was building my house I had borrowed a cement mixer.. ( yup don’t have one of those) and the guy I borrowed it from came and picked it up.. Bob rushes up and says someone just took your cement mixer.. I can still catch him LOL…Its about as close to Andy’s MayBerry as you can get in modern times…
NOW there are Evil people here most of them are transplants from LA or Chicago…waving and a nice cup of joe and good conversation or a cold beer.. ( We do not go to the local pub for a drink out.. wanna know the reason) You walk in there and everyone is sticking drinks in your hand..You cannot go in and not get plastered..or begged and begged to embarrass yourself by playing darts.. So we avoid it.. I do go down and pick up stuff.. but nope we don’t go in.. LOL LOL LOL you would become an alchy in no time or break a bone falling LOL…

      • “After an er visit with slurred speech from the massive stress, I decided to call someone for help. ”

LOL I think I know how you felt… Cashbox
A guy I use to work with.. a friend.. drove truck.. He made a like two hundred dollar mistake on his taxes and they audited him.. He didn’t call anyone and thought heck I can deal with this…
The guy started to get nasty and had him owning all kinds of crap and hiding crap everywhere LOL LOL LOL which irritated my coworker..
and he said…. (YOU CAN JUST SUCK WALLEY) LOL LOL he came up to the house white as a sheet and scared to death.. and he says.. NEVER EVER tell an IRS to suck walley.. LOL LOL LOL LOL they were going to seize his bank accounts and sell his home and all kinds of stuff…
That is when he called someone..
I do not mess around or take extra deductions doing taxes.. I have a tax man that does them and I would rather pay in than to be dragged through the mud.. only rich people can do that… I am at the bottom..

      • @looking out of the box, I started NOT taking all of our expenses off the taxes so they would owe me if we were audited again. Funny thing is, in the industry we were in, the withdrawals/deposits are automatically recorded 3 different ways/places (bank account, processing/backend office that’s 3rd party off-site, at the client’s site) so we really couldn’t cheat the system anyway if someone sat down and crunched the numbers. The expenses I held back weren’t enough to brake the bank, but was enough to balance anything if we did make a mistake. I also started paying what I call blackmail to have someone else do our taxes so we weren’t looked at an easy target for an audit. Hedge and insure, lower the risk…hmm, sounds like trading.

    • Property taxes are one of the few things I insist on paying in person with a check and I always get fully receipted bills back from the treasurer. It’s worth the trip to their office and the covid craziness involved. Even though there are a couple of year’s grace, it’s too important to less than perfectly the first time. Between the check and receipted bills, it would be hard to argue with.

  3. Over the years many, myself included, have become dependent upon the digital receipts and statements. I have made it a point in addition to digital records to have hard copies of Tax returns, receipts, titles, deeds, lien releases and cash on hand yadda yadda yadda. It only makes sense.
As far as after crash nobody accepting your documentation that could result in taking your property I believe would likely happen only after an extinction event. Just like stopping or changing Social Security payments, the reults would be revolutionary.
    Molon Labe.

  4. George,
I sad I would let you know if anything has changed that I was aware of on the war drum issue. For weeks now the fighter pilots have been flying in OVERTIME and that is not normal after seeing it for 20 years now. and NOW for the last 3 day NOTHING! I would say they shipped them out. I am seeing If I can validate that or not and will let you know. The key to knowing this without actually being told is IF you see a flight formation lying and those jets have some large pods hanging under them, those will be aux. fuel tanks and the pilots personal items. Things are continuing to be prepped by the military for war

  5. To be intellectually thorough and honest, one must at least consider the possibility that China, Russsia, (and the U.S.) are only (expensively) posturing, and no actual shootin’ hostilities will happen?

I mean, the threats alone have “the whole town on its feet,” and maybe The Bad Guys (who are, of course, not US), can just wait for the stress and the fear to make the wheels fall off the self-indulgent, soft-bellied countries. (US)

War is messy. Makes a Big Inconvenience that SOMEBODY has to clean up. Lotta perfectly good assets and infrastructure get screwed up, and need expensive re-building to be useful to the new owners.

Maybe Ole Russia and China are working (again) in a coordinated manner. At least for long enough to let a few ripe apples fall, and collect the rewards.

Ole Sun Tsu would prefer it that way. (Win without fighting.)

    …just a thought.

I believe a multi-theatre war IS about to break out, involving Russia, China, AND “The Terrorists”–which latter I believe are NOT done with us quite yet, and who may perceive license and distraction from all the other hollering and gunfire, once it gets rolling.

    BUT!

    It just might not.

(I am an optimist by nature…)

    • I don’t believe that China is postering about Taiwan. Delay – Distract – Confuse., yes.., but I honestly believe they will militarily invade & take Taiwan. [ ., and possibly secretly fund the terrorists.]
      .
Putin? He is pretty damn good at world-poker., and he holds a lot of very good cards. [ Controls most of the heating and cooking gas for the vast majority of Europe., for one.] Will he order an invasion? He would really love to have his old stomping grounds back under Russian control. Through military force? I am not 100% convinced of that, as yet.

      • “He would really love to have his old stomping grounds back under Russian control.”

What the tricky part is ..the people asked him for help.. those I visit with say that putin and the Russian army as their saviors and protectors.. their fear is of nato forces and the cruelty they show the people..
We complicate it with our maneuvers and staging.

    • Yes staging a Kabooki theater show is a lot easier than mansplaining the reason why the ACH ledger had to be frozen and ported to NY ICE/Bakkt blockchain. Attempting to explain whats going on in a comprehensive format that can be understood by the 6th grade level of education CRT scholarly population watching real it y t v isn’t so easy. I encourage all to do their own research…..

    • Don’t forget that these munitions are from OUR stock pile and so the NEW orders to resupply will or already is being done to the tune millions going into the owners and stock holders pockets. WAR has always been a HUGE money maker. and IF nothing else these funds are going somewhere, my guess into slush funds for the next elections, LOL

  6. You said…”Frankly, if we make it to April Fool’s Day without something coming off the rails globally, it will be a miracle.”

Again…nothing is going to happen ever…not this year, next or in our lifetimes. Throughout modern history, there have always been a good assortment of cooked scares, and some real skirmishes…but like religion, which is based on fear, the Global elites like to keep us off balance and eventually in line. We are pawns in a social experiment. War has lost it’s panache and no longer rallies countries patriotism. In fact, it’s just the opposite…Nothing to gain but dissent. If, and that is a BIG IF…the pandemic was semi-planned, this 2 year pandemic has run its course too. It rallied us for about 6 months, but has since divided us even further. North Korea is a joke…the Taliban is just a rudimentary feudal power that will eventually implode upon itself as refugees from the countries where they rule populate other countries. That said…China remains the biggest threat…although, they are so dependent on Westernized/Capitalist countries to fuel their coffers, what possibly could they do that wouldn’t backfire on them?

Their eye on Taiwan is based on the one thing and one thing only. Chip production. The one thing that they are scared of is AI and robotics. If we start robotically making the very things their thousands of factories produce, their market and their country will collapse. Those that control the chips…control the technology.

    • “nothing is going to happen ever…not this year, next or in our lifetimes. ”

The USA is about the most Waring country in the world.. we are at war all the time.. It is Just that our warring nature going to the final countdown hasn’t happened yet.. and even though they are trying to force it to happen.. I think they don’t want future survivors to reflect on them as the ones to cause such an event.. instead.. I think they will wait for NATO and the leaders of the countries that are trying to force this to happen to be the ones who’s reputations will be passed around camp fires in emergency shelters for future references to stupid irresponsible actions of greed..
the good news for today.. we only have 2years and 359 days left that we have to survive this FUBAR administration..

      • As opposed to the previous 4 under the dumbest and most corrupt leader in the history of world politics? I will take my chances and continue to thrive with Biden.

    • Wish I was as positive as you Mark … it is my nature compounded by what I do for a living though that makes me LOOK for potential problems (looking for problems that “may” happen is my job)

We have come close to major War in the past. If Curtis LeMay had gotten his way we would have had one but first Eisenhower and then JFK weren’t receptive and the country lucked out and we avoided one.

At the present the 3 Russian Navy RoRo ships that left the Baltic a little over a week ago and are still at sea. Pravda reported at the time they were heading towards Cuba (which I saw a couple of days later) and so far there are NO reports that they have gone through Gibralter or past Istanbul (should have passed Istanbul yesterday) IF on their way into the Black Sea. That would indicate to me that the Pravda news article was correct, they are heading to Cuba and if so should reach it by mid next week.

Now what could 3 large Russian Navy RoRo ships be carrying from Russia to Cuba at this point in time? Tanks make no sense. Trucks make no sense. landing craft make no sense. On the other hand if you remember back to just after the first of the year Putin said that “maybe” Russia should put missiles in Cuba to counter the American and NATO missiles in Eastern Europe.

      EUREKA!!

Are those three Russian Navy RoRo ships carrying Russian Missiles to Cuba for a replay of the Cuban Missile Crisis, where the US was FORCED to withdraw it’s short range nuclear missiles from Turkey in exchange for their removal?

Personally “I” think that is Putin’s game for the next two weeks.

Increase the “PUCKER FACTOR” of the War War War crowd in DC, let them experience a Tit for Tat moment in the nuclear standoff arena. Might give them a “heads up” as to where Russia is coming from in not wanting the risk of nuclear weapons right on it’s borders, but back at least 300-400 miles.

I guess we will know in 2 to 3 weeks if my analysis is correct and those ships have missiles inside of them … of course maybe they are just carrying new city buses for use in Havana … but really?

(warheads can of course be shipped by air later … or could be on those boats too … but our “sniffers” would know if they are on those ships by the time they arrived in Cuba if that is the case which leads me to think those would be air delivered later if Putin really wanted to tighten the screws and increase the “Pucker Factor” in DC)

      • “then JFK weren’t receptive and the country lucked out and we avoided one.”

Where JFK was fortunate from what I have read and been told is .. JFK was willing to take the missiles out of turkey… After we dropped bombs in japan.. we proceeded to build a missile defense base in Turkey even though Russia was upset and kept telling us to back away from their border they seen it as a threat…. ( exactly what we and NATO are doing right now) Russia built up on the borders just like they are now.. its a symbol… told us to back down.. we were stubborn just like now..So they put a missile station on Cuban Soil as a reverse symbol sort of the see now how do you like it…. JFK was smart enough to see this is not a good thing and the missile defense system on the russian border was removed and russia removed theres from Cuba..
I can’t find the papers on that right now.. but it was quite intense.. The whole scenario is happening at this moment.. I just haven’t heard whether or not Russia will drop a few missiles off on cuba yet.. they don’t need to.. at this point in time.. either side can reach out and touch someone from a great deal.. we are upsetting them.. they are being defiant to the actions we are taking on their border.. and it is just like before over some raw resources that someone covets.. the people of Ukraine should have a say in their lives

      • Dam I should have read your post first lol lol Stephen.. I hadn’t heard that they were moving there..
“Increase the “PUCKER FACTOR” of the War War War crowd in DC,”
Makes the fence around his house and wall around the White House almost obsolete..
The older how do you feel moment..now is the man behind the earbuds as smart as kfk? Or has there been so much money that they felt they lost during the last administration so great they insist in seeing this through..

    • If we have the IP, we can replicate the fabs – eventually. Apparently that’s starting already(better late than never). It’s vitally important that we have all the IP and other information necessary available and backed up in the USA.

      • …Assuming the grid doesn’t go away and there’s sufficient power to run the factories, fabs, and facilities.

  7. .
“I am absolutely not a fan of loading up on food….”
    – Curious. Then what is your ‘plan’ for the first six months, or so, right after ‘any’ collapse – for food ?

      • I have a great “garden interest”.., been working it for many, many years.., but around here, due to weather constraints I would absolutely need an emergency 6 month supply of munchies., a year would be fantastic. As I can grow and can from that point onward. ., but if the SHTF say in late Sept I now have four to five months before I can get a garden in the ground., then 90 days. ergo – my question.
-and.., do you have much of a “weather window” in Ure neck of the woods? I can cut my window by using the greenhouse – which would help.

      • “I have a great “garden interest”.., been working it for many, many years..,”

You know D… when I dream it is usually me making something.. always building something in my sleep.. Lately I have been dreaming over and over HYDROPONIC POTATOES.. each night I put it together then take it apart and redesign it.. about to drive me crazy.. I will put it together as a window garden and try one plant..

    • boy my pantry has saved us.. several times in the past… I will never change.. the toilet paper shortage should be a great indicator.. toilet paper was selling for as much as silver..
sodium hypochlorite is nothing more than salt water gone through an electrolysis unit.. you can make one easy enough but I bought mine.. the reason.. they have little kids making them.. and for everyone they sell they can make one for remote area’s with bad water.. and I support that Idea.. years ago I gave a small water well drill head.. this is easier.. http://swimforhim.org/chlorine-producing-unit/
wow.. the one I had bought years ago is almost three times more than what it was then.. WOW
      http://www.deeprock.com/Default.aspx
BYU engineering students made one a few years ago.. the wagon wheel water well drilling rig.. awesome design….

    • I believe in loading up on food, but only an excess of the foods that you eat each day anyway and are non-perishable. The “survival” foods may have their place, but hope for never having to eat them. It’s always a good idea to try them when/if you get them though, to see if they are even edible.

Gardening is definitely worthwhile for those who’ve figured it out. I’ve never figured out gardening and have poured hundreds of dollars worth of water into the ground. When I can get around to arranging stored lower pH water and effective ways to exclude critters, I’ll consider this again.

  8. “the difference between latency and hysteresis.”

I have a day of two of supplies.. But then I go by the one can method.. If you use six can’s a week of a product.. then buy seven.. when the sixth can is used then buy seven more.. before you know it.. you have a day or two of groceries on the shelf.. If your hungry .. then eat.. But then I have been doing this since the kids were born.. to frantically go out and start buying is just dumb.. long term meals.. if you only buy oatmeal.. dam that is a lot of oatmeal.. mix it up.. the freeze dryer is the way.. your meals are made your way.. and have a thirty year shelf life.. ( I did add an oil free pump to mine. this year. ) I have a farmer friend that raises a cow for me.. every year.. no pork.. I am the only one that likes pork chops etc.. so I buy that at the store and just enough for me to eat once in a while .. from my traumatic times.. my times of serious need.. the things you don’t think about are the things you need.. like herbs.. spices.. OIL…a simple bowl of cottage cheese curds.. or cheese.. fresh butter and fresh eggs.. I have tried canning eggs.. or jarring them up.. put eggs in liquid glass or oil.. but.. that kinda works..

this is basically the recipe I use a few variations.. but with the butter in it.. you have to store it in the fridge..
    https://www.food.com/recipe/instant-magic-white-sauce-mix-140441
Here is the extension service recipe.. love to make this stuff.. they to don’t put the butter in.. because they make it shelf stable..
    https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/publications/food-nutrition/milk-master-mix-magic-white-sauce#section-3
thinking about that a can of cream of what ever soup is a buck or more.. the cost of this without the butter is about three cents.. with the butter puts it just shy ten cents a can.. same soup.. I love the butter in mine.. but then that could be added afterwards when you are cooking..
spice it your way.. I love it in tomato soup and even make tomato soup mix.. get the tomato bullion.. or make your own bullion.. easy peasy..

    • My wife makes ghee! She watched some of the videos you linked and liked them. Thanks for posting them.

      • you are very welcome..
We make a lot here… some stuff its just cheaper to buy them already processed.. but we still do it.. I make Ghee.. the magic mix is to die for.. what a life saver.. I like the one with the butter in it.. but then butter can be added later..

  9. “that cell phones are dangerous and no one paid attention? Well, now read how Cell phone usage may damage a man’s sperm, study warns. ”

I knew it… keeping your phone in your shorts on vibrate was a bad IDEA.. dam..

    • Then there’s all those li-ion battery bombs I’ve been warning you about. If they throw the switch, there’ll more than a party in your pocket.
      “Just like every day, Pinky….”

      • We had been issued some new tactical lights to test before I left the field and went into the office. They were extremely bright LION powered “Night Fighters”. One night on the way to turn the car in I was behind another unit that suddenly stopped in the middle of the driveway and jumped out slapping his backside. I thought it was some kind of joke but turns out he had been sitting just right for the flashlight push button to be activated. The Xenon bulb became so hot it ignited his pants and the vehicle seat. Got a serious burn from it too. First thought was to blame the batteries but figured out the button was pressed by the console pressing againt his holster.

      • “One night on the way to turn the car in I was behind another unit that suddenly stopped in the middle of the driveway and jumped out slapping his backside. ”

You know Jim.. the L-ION batteries is what almost killed a young woman down the street.. she was sleeping and a laptop in another room went up.. she didn’t make it out.. coded 4 times before they could get her to the hospital by helicopter.. I in turn bought smoke hoods for everyone in the house.. and another AED for the car..
I really nice young lady.. she was in the burn unit for over a month and back home.. she will suffer from lung damage the rest of her life..

  10. Right now Germany and Croatia are bailing on the Ukraine. That is your de-escalation news right there. Unfortunately, in the forgotten Georgia war of 2008, Germany also said they were against it. Now Georgia is a possible future member of NATO. Soooooo….

    • I don’t remember the actual percentage., by it was over 80 % of Germany’s heating and cooking gas comes from Russia.., so Putin could easily put Germany into a deep freeze by shutting off their gas supply. Germany should be nervous. If war does break out in the Ukraine.., do you think Germany., a major player in NATO, will just “sit this one out?”. No sure they could.

      • Germany has no army.

They have a strategic air force.

They HAVE contributed to the Ukrainial Madness — They donated 5000 MIL-Spec helmets to Kiev…

      • “I don’t remember the actual percentage., by it was over 80 % of Germany’s heating and cooking gas comes from Russia.., ”

D….. 3 guesses as to why there is such a great drive for control over Ukraine…

    Interesting de-escalating article:
    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-ukraine-crisis-deescalating-nato-countries-break-bellicose-us-uk-stance

Closed most of my trades from my 12:45ish eastern time entries Monday. Left a small fraction on in case things continue in the current direction. Stops moved up two levels below the current market…out of the way enough to handle a news spike, yet up high enough to lock in profits on what’s left.
A very nice week so far…very happy with my entries and seeing the reversal in process. Happy with the call on Bitcoin filling the gap and reversing up. Grabbed 159 pips from the GBP/JPY trade = a very nice % return off of 2% risk with a 20.4 pip stop loss equates to a 15.58% gain on that trade. (159/20.4) x 2
Time to step away and let the big $ do whatever they’re going to do…just riding their coat tails. In other words, it’s time to work on the honey do list.

  13. “However, as the dashed lines offer, there’s then a very good chance (seeing Russia’s success) that China will take Taiwan. At which point, it becomes clear that the US will be in a steady economic decline lasting a very long while.”

Now seriously.. what could happen with Brandon at the helm right…..
I think since Brandon and Nato are so anxious for something to happen and won’t back away from setting military up on their border that they will feign a move to get Nato and our leader to jump..
    https://judoinfo.com/ojudo1/
Judo.. the gentle way.. if there’s no threat from an aggressor then no action is required because there is no threat…. but if an aggressor moves you need to be able to move swiftly to take down a foe with the least amount of effort..
Putin is a Judo Master…. Xi.. lives as a Chinese ruler.. china is one of pride and honor and dishonor is a really big thing…. and china uses the art of war as one of their guides the chinese philosophy of war is quite simple…
    https://www2.bellevuecollege.edu/artshum/materials/engl/Bessho/Summer05/101/WarandPeaceChinese.htm#:~:text=Abhorrence%20of%20war%20is%20the,if%20there%20is%20no%20alternative.
Abhorrence of war is the highest military principle.
A distaste for war is the most basic principle of the True King.
Between heaven and earth there is nothing more valuable than man.
[This being the case: ] You must go to war only if there is no othe alternative..
Then everyone has been real patient in setting up the fall to subdue the country without going to war….Realizing that greed was the motive for western leaders and their anxiousness to rush to war over stupid crap of coveting anothers goods rather than negotiating or working for them.. all it took was to feed the greed buy the compliance.. set the stage for a soft takeover….
Brandon and the NATO forces Use Greed as their main motivator.. BUT then thinking about that.. theres no real threat on someone using greed and impatience as a motivational tool is there.. just good business model ….So..what could happen right…
Maybe as good as those darn peaches are.. I should buy one more case of them LOL….

      • Thanks for sharing that Steevo.. I enjoyed it very much.. and you are right.. popcorn is a necessity LOL

    • LOOB,

It’s ok. The bankers are still working the room. This week the EU Commission Chief rolled out a €1.2 billion loan and grant package to Ukraine of which €600 million is of immediate effect pending legislative approval. Then the executive branch of the EU is upping its Ukraine contribution to €280 million this year. The IMF still remains to weigh in with its contribution to the cause. One would hope that Ukraine’s President Zelenskiye will be successful in any hunt for advice in handling this embarrassment of riches.

  14. Got a feeling February will be when tptb’s action(s) will really kick in … on a lot of things. There’s a lot of “explaining” (wanted) and a lot of “justice” warranted to be served (but won’t be on the actual plate presentation) as it’s easier to shovel death and destruction to erase those things.

It sucks when all the hour glasses get this low on sand at the top.

    • Agree with Feb. Gold has a long handle on a long term cup formation and the handle trend lines are narrowing down to force things to happen…my chart suggests a breakout between now and Feb 20ish. Don’t know what will happen, but, strangely, when the chart formations suggest a move is ready…that seems to be when a catalyst happens to make things move. Have seen this happen a lot. Strange. The next Gold forced break out after Feb 20ish suggests late June/early July, but things will happen when they happen. Very interesting to watch.

      • Yeah, there are several indicators that lean toward (something) happening. I’m inclined to believe it won’t be just one thing but rather, a combination.

        February = a death month.

    • I am praying that you are wrong.. but after ole Joe flipped the other day at the reporter and his true personal nature momentarily stood out .. you might be on target..

      • I would LOVE to be wrong about that.

And I really hope you’ve been feeling better. You had a rough several weeks. Kindest regards, buddy.

      • “I really hope you’ve been feeling better. ”

I am and I am not.. the fever is back.. the tests they gave showed that the COVID gave me a slight bit of heart failure.. nothing real crazy thank god and it can be managed with medications..( another thing I have to buy) and the lung damage was small but still I have some COPD from it.. ( another medication and a spendy one to boot.. ) I am back on antibiotics.. but its all good.. I am waiting the chinese herbal medical books are coming today.. so I am excited.. I believe in the herbal remedies.. when they were sure I had pancreatic cancer and gave me the come back in six months.. I knew.. do I wait and get the free trip to disney world.. or take a chance.. so I had been reading a lot of material on chinese medicine and their use of herbs.. so I took it.. what could it do right.. if you let it go.. your a dead man anyway .. six months went by and I went in.. and they couldn’t find any of the tumors or anything.. best thing I ever did.. that was five years ago.. the oncologist released me.. the only bad thing is the twenty five pounds I was loosing a month all came back.. to my regular weight.. I have read these books before.. and unfortunately I have some idea but want to read them again..

    • “Got a feeling February ”

MARCH 15th..If we make it past March 15th.. then I will rest easy..

  15. The next big distraction:
Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is planning on retiring at the end of the current term. [ NBC News ]
Is this ever going to start a political and media shit-storm !

    • Just another political fund raising opportunity. A mere ripple in the cesspool.
I still remember the “Impeach Earl Warren” billboards – kept the Birchers going for years.
Wonder what Ivy League Wonder they’ll nominate this time?
Or… I hear Hillary’s got some time on her hands. Apoplexy could be the new COVID.

    • I had read a couple of months ago that Justice Breyer had no intention of retiring soon. Wonder what changed his mind? Maybe some one (or more than one) was leaning on him because the odds are the Republicans will take both Senate & House in 22? And/or Presidency in 24?

Think about that for just a minute.. a laptop hard drive with thousands of images , documents business dealings. illegal drug trades etc..
Would you want to be a supreme court justice if only ten percent of what is on that laptop hard drive is true and it ended up in the supreme court?. or looking at the video archive that Jr. posted with video’s so disgusting it makes grown men cringe from all the disgusting perversions on it.. not to mention the many other allegations from so many possible directions?
History could paint a supreme court justice in a pretty negative light if it ever ended up on the bench to be considered.. do you do the right thing or let daddy have his way..We know how it is all being handled trying to bury it all by everyone else.. ( you have noticed the coffee clutch had mentioned they had read someplace that the kid was put on ice over all of his shenanigan’s you don’t see much about any of his present activities.. ) .. .. if only ten percent of what either the family has posted, or the many questionable business dealings or what is on the hard drive is true.. well you get the picture.. my guess is he has a set of standards ethics and morals and rather than have sleepless nights over it or the fear of how his reputation will be tarnished and painted later on.. Lets face it … daddy is a really old man and won’t live and protect him for ever you know everyone keeps saying he has possible dementia issues…. why not just jump free of the mess before it lands in his lap and he has to make a judgement call.. I am sure that is why Kammy is keeping low to.. in our neck of the woods those kind of actions are pretty rare.. and is more family friendly than the big cities where that kind of activities isn’t so surprising.. I quit the best job I ever had because of that kind of stuff.. if you were a young girl and wanted a good govt job.. give the boss a BJ.. I walked in to the breakroom and yup that was what was happening.. and I put my notice in.. and she was over 18… but it was the moral and ethical degrading action that made me sick.. I can’t even imagine what is going through the minds of the justices.. you know they are looking at it to.. because there is a great possibility that if the DOJ can’t bury all the disgusting allegations with so much published and in the open…. it may just end up in their lap..

    • Now, watch that lame-ass at 1600, who already said his nominee will be a “Black lady” nominate the only “Black lady” he knows.

Hillary’s gonna be Da Prez yet…

      • Wait, wasn’t Bill Clinton the first black president? Maybe Hillary will be the first black female SC justice.

  16. “When the pro’s pulled an audit on their own department there were tons of “details” to be attended to. Batteries on flashlights, half-filled air bottles”

Don’t you just hate that…. That is why I have a tank filler.. LOL..

    • the tank filler is cheap enough I bought it so that my globe trotters that love to go scuba diving in Brazil could come over and fill their tanks and have a couple of glasses of wine or beer and BS while they are filling.. I also keep emergency tanks of oxygen here to.. … what is spendy is the filtration system.. phew.. that is really expensive..

  17. Hey G, forgot to mention on the word Bibius. In ancient Greek, it would split as Bibi (sister of a father) and us, the suffix meaning a masculine version.

  18. Well OF COURSE Maunakea is the tallest mountain on the planet! I’ve posted that here before. You don’t think I would settle on ‘second best’ do you? The weather here is nicer than the Himalayas, too.

And sister mountain Maunaloa, only a few feet shorter, is the most MASSIVE mountain on the planet. It is so heavy it is slowly sinking into the dimple in the crust. We have regular small earthquakes almost daily that confirm that.

They make great blast shields from the targets 200 miles west of here.

  19. “(CNN)Domestic violent extremists will “likely continue” to plot and encourage physical attacks against electrical infrastructure in the United States, according to a recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence briefing obtained by CNN.”

Would those “domestic violent extremists” be those imported by Biden from Afghanistan? I don’t see homegrown folks going out of their way to crap in their own beds.

  20. Since Slo Joe needs a war to re-direct peoples’ attention away from the failing Covid narrative here’s an article from The Blaze that firmly places the attention back on the damage The Jab has done.

“In a declaration under penalty of perjury that Renz plans to use in federal court, Drs. Samuel Sigoloff, Peter Chambers, and Theresa Long — three military doctors — revealed that there has been a 300% increase in DMED codes registered for miscarriages in the military in 2021 over the five-year average. The five-year average was 1,499 codes for miscarriages per year. During the first 10 months of 2021, it was 4,182. As Renz explained to me in an interview with TheBlaze, these doctors queried the numbers for hundreds of codes from 2016 through 2020 to establish a baseline five-year average. These codes were generally for ailments and injuries that medical literature has established as being potential adverse effects of the vaccines.

Renz told me the numbers tended to be remarkably similar in all those preceding years, including in 2020, which was the first year of the pandemic but before the vaccines were distributed. But then in 2021, the numbers skyrocketed, and the 2021 data doesn’t even include the months of November and December. For example, some public health officials speculate that COVID itself places women at higher risk for miscarriages. But the number of miscarriage codes recorded in 2020 was actually slightly below the five-year average (1,477). However, they were not drastically below the average on any one category in a way that one can suggest it reflects lockdown-related decreases in doctor’s visits, which somehow led to an increase in 2021 diagnoses.

The database has all the ICD codes for both military hospital visits and ambulatory visits. The data presented by Renz so far is all from the query of ambulatory diagnosis data.

Aside from the spike in miscarriage diagnoses (ICD code O03 for spontaneous abortions), there was an almost 300% increase in cancer diagnoses (from a five-year average of 38,700 per year to 114,645 in the first 11 months of 2021). There was also a 1,000% increase in diagnosis codes for neurological issues, which increased from a baseline average of 82,000 to 863,000!

Some other numbers he did not mention at the hearing but gave to me in the interview are the following:

    myocardial infarction –269% increase
    Bell’s palsy – 291% increase
congenital malformations (for children of military personnel) – 156% increase
    female infertility – 471% increase
    pulmonary embolisms – 467% increase

All these numbers are among the ambulatory visits because those are where the vast number of diagnoses in the military occur. However, Renz did say the increases were indicated in the hospitalized patients as well. I have seen one of the sworn declarations from one of the military doctors, and it states as follows, “It is my professional opinion that the major increases incidences of the above discussed instances of miscarriages, cancers, and disease were due to COVID-19 ‘vaccinations.'””

The forecasting that Clif has done paints a pretty dismal picture of the die-off to come. They won’t be able to hide it for much longer.

  21. I’m not worried about a Ukraine war. Russia is in terminal decline due to an aging population. They need to block the invasion route through Ukraine. The Libya take down was an early move to pressure them in the Med.

Lots of real information and pretty maps. Much better than speculation and imagination. Get some.
    https://zeihan.com/a-ukraine-war-and-the-end-of-russia/

“A Russian-Ukrainian war would keep the bulk of the Russian army bottled up in an occupation that would be equal parts desperate and narcissistic and protracted until such time that Russia’s terminal demography transforms that army into a powerless husk. And all that would transpire on a patch of territory in which the United States has minimal strategic interests.

That’s rough for the Ukrainians, but from the American point of view, it is difficult to imagine a better, more thorough, and above all safer way for Russia to commit suicide.”

    AKA check mate

If we could only trick China into a multi-year adventure in Afghanistan, rife with nice weapons. Brilliant move leaving all that behind.

  22. “Are bullets to be more important than food? Depends on your assessment of local folks morality and self-restraint, doesn’t it?”

Which is entirely dependent upon how thoroughly they’ve prepared themselves and their families against famine. If your neighbors get hungry, they will have no morals (and no mercy.) As much as they may like or admire you, they like themselves and their dependents more.

    • Exactly what’s made me nervous after all the old folks died off around here back in the 2000s only to be replaced with people from all over trying to make a buck off of real estate while taxing us “deplorables” out of here. Half of them, or more, are building McMansions on the rockiest ground you could ever pick and sucking all the water out of the ground for pools and usual home use like they had a huge lake nearby to draw from. Now that we’re going back into a dry time the water situation may get them before the financial break down does. It would not surprise me at all if they got together in their self-proclaimed “Chamber of Commerce” and voted themselves a piece of our livestock herd when TSHTF. Not happinin’. The one thing you have to ask – even your best friends – is when TSHTF what are you bringing to the party? For habitual moochers the road goes both ways out of here.

      • “building McMansions on the rockiest ground you could ever pick”

I hear ya Bill…. long time.. long long time ago.. a friend of my parents owned forty acres of some of the rockiest land you ever seen… I was looking for a place to build a house.. while playing cards.. I was telling his son what I was looking for and his dad overheard me and said.. for 2500.00 you can have the 40 acres of land.. I looked at it.. his son and I walked all around it.. there wasn’t anyway that I would be able to put a house there..
Fast forward to today.. there are motels and hospitals and businesses there it is crazy.. I should have jumped on it..

  23. Comrades,

Care to take a ride back to the future? Last June 21, the non-profit, non-partisan US Naval Institute published a report on ship ais spoofing in the Black Sea on June 19. The piece went into the abyss.
    https://news.usni.org/2021/06/21/positions-of-two-nato-ships-were-falsified-near-russian-black-sea-naval-base

Days later following a course near the Crimean coast, a BBC correspondent was embedded aboard a British Navy vessel standoff against Russian elements.

Separately, worthy of a ‘Count Balthazar de Bleuchamp’ award, Reuters reports that Portugal’s Porto passport office is being investigated by the justice ministry. It seems Russian billionaire oligarch Abramovich obtained Portuguese citizenship last year under provisions set out for eligible descendants of Sephardic Jews deported during the 15th century Inquisition. The FSB will not be amused?

  24. “My unstated Project agenda is pretty clear: We’ve built about as robust a survival platform as we can imagine within workable limits. Problem is it’s just one place. And when you get outside the margins on contingency planning, there’s the matter of local dependencies.”

Remember your vintage L’Amour: “Not even a rat trusts himself to a single hole. Can I be less astute than a rat?”

This is why I always survey a property for potential stealthy & secure means of “sneaking off” should it become necessary. I have periodically toyed with both the Ohio River basin and the northern UP of Michigan, because they’re full of caves and mining tunnels that spelunkers and zoning/sanitation authorities have long-since forgotten. My ideal would be to connect my home with a cavern a half-mile or more, away, in which both escape vehicles and decoy vehicles could be stashed in an undetectable manner until, or in case, they’re ever needed.

Remember, no matter how secure a redoubt, if it is discovered, it can be breached; if it can be breached, it eventually will.

      • Love Louis L’Amour, have and have read all his books at least once. Wait, no, I’m missing one. There was a kid who was dressed as a cowboy who stopped by our porch for trick-or-treat. I saw him walking toward the house and told my wife to chat with his parents and try to keep them there while I ran upstairs to the book shelf. He loved it! Best trick-or-treat ever! His dad said he read them when he was a kid so I suggested he read a chapter to his son each evening.
Funny thing is…I have ZERO idea which title I gave him. Need to get the list out and do an inventory.

      • “Love Louis L’Amour, have and have read all his books ”

That reminds me Cashbox.. I had all of his on paper.. ( and the hardy boys and nancy drew series all great for kids) and the wife wanted to park in the garage it was filled with boxes of books.. BUT I have them on an ebook reader.. and the battery is bad in it.. I need to take that in and get a new battery in it..

    • I don’t have a cave or tunnel, but I do have enough black-out shades to block the rat-view from the street. I am concerned about solar back-ups calling in rats off the street in a string of pitch black dark nights. Next move would be sandbags and temp shelters behind the tree line. Transportable solar is going to be my pick. I hope it arrives in time.

      • the problem with that.. is.. if you have a backup shelter and it is a thousand miles away…
YOU HAVE TO GET THERE… and on foot the average time it takes to get there would be about four months depending on weather conditions.. It is like a friend.. a prof from another state.. has an acreage right next to one of the DUMBS a communications bunker.. big enough to house a small city.. ( they had it up for sale last year he said he thought a million.. I wished I had had the million to buy it.. my curiosity is.. did they just toss in all the supplies)
the biggest thing I said to him when I was looking at it.. was. hell how are they going to get to it.. if there is a real emergency.. your not going to make it there..

  25. And it’s on a Tuesday. LOL someone just told me. Hey that is on a Tuesday too and roared laughing.

Like I said even the Jedi I talked to a little bit don’t know what to say about it. They just gawk with their mouths open.

So I came on to ask one of you, maybe you would know what it means.

Huh. Numbers. funny little things, numbers. Wonder what the odds of that happening are?
