One JOLT or Two? WalMart Unbreaks, Fourth Checklist

Top of the IIQ pile today we have reader Big Al Brown who is asking the only question that matters to some of us:

“Per my Brainamp at closing today.
02/19/2025 = 52758.04
06/30/2025 = 53104.54

Dow still lagging but the other two are way up.
Do you think it is valid intraweek?
Do you think all three components should hit a new high to be valid? (Dow still about 500 low.)
I am wondering.”

OK, so you’re new around here?  BAB’s BrainAmp is his custom-tuned version of the Aggregate Index spreadsheet—downloadable by Peoplenomics subscribers from the Master Index. We built it after 9/11, back when Wall Street was blaming terrorism for a dot-com detonation that vaporized up to $7 trillion in investor wealth..

Bait, switch, cover, got it?

Nothing new under the Sun, is there?  We assess the risk of dangerous false flag ops (or a second israeli “blow of steel” as very high over the balance of the month which is just starting today.

Jolt or JOLTS

Yes, it’s been a Viagra week on Wall Street—erected on stimulus rumors and fiscal delusions. No need to ‘see a doctor’ unless you’re short. Bears may get relief at 10 AM, when Jerome Powell speaks and Labor’s JOLTS report drops.

Tomorrow both the ADP and Challenger job numbers drop and since there’s the Official numbers Thursday (and an early market closing, too…(the Hampton’s won’t wait, right?) we should know if the answer to Big Al is “Uh-huh – double top” or the “This is what a hyperinflationary blow off looks like.”

OK, I’ll Bite…what could cause that kind of outcome?

Porky Pig and the Third Party

The Markets love free lunch.  And the big spending bill is full of it.  An AI read of the situation goes like this:

“Based on posts found on X, Musk has called it a “disgusting, pork-filled abomination,” highlighting a record $5 trillion debt ceiling increase and questioning the inclusion of projects unrelated to the bill’s primary goals. Critics, including Musk, argue the bill is bloated with special-interest provisions, a common tactic in omnibus legislation to secure votes across party lines. Historical context, like the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, shows that large bills often include tangential items—e.g., $65 billion for broadband or $1 billion for community reconnection projects—that some label as pork if they deviate from traditional infrastructure. The scale of spending and debt increase suggests this bill may indeed have significant extraneous allocations, though specific details on the projects are scarce in available sources.

However, this could also be politics as usual, amplified by Musk’s high-profile platform. Large bipartisan bills, like the 2021 infrastructure package or the 2022 omnibus spending bill, routinely face accusations of pork due to their complexity and the need to appease diverse constituencies. Earmarks, reintroduced in 2021 after a decade-long ban, are a standard tool for lawmakers to fund local projects, often criticized as wasteful but defended as necessary for governance. Musk’s outrage, echoed by some X users, may reflect genuine concern over fiscal irresponsibility or a strategic move to align with certain political factions, especially given his mention of unfair treatment of EV/solar incentives compared to oil and gas subsidies. Without a detailed breakdown of the bill’s contents, it’s hard to quantify the pork’s extent, but the pattern of large bills attracting such criticism suggests this is partly the messy reality of legislative deal making, heightened by Musk’s vocal opposition.”

We Think Another Agenda is in Play

Reading stories like Elon Musk Calls For New Political Party to Stop Trump’s Bill might get you to thinking there’s Big Change in the wind.

SO…the way we figure it? The GOP sees a cornered Democrat Party flailing under the Auto-Signer-in-Chief and Kamala the Kackler. But if they don’t flank hard now, the Gavin Newsom hairball might gel into a threat by ’28. Enter Musk: creating a Third Party firewall that keeps the West Coast prince out while positioning his own ‘middle lane’ for later

Like Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith said “I love it when a plan comes together…”

Only this ain’t the A-Team.  It’s what was on special in 2024. Tell your hopes for better to keep a foot on the brake.

Cue up Sam & Dave (“Hold on, I’m coming…“)  Billionaire Musk vows to launch new political party if controversial Trump bill passes Congress.

Now Let’s Visit Stupidville

I told you last week the Peoplenomics next week will be a short break-dance on City-States.  And the “Stupidville” poster child  for that is New York: Mamdani set to win as NYC readies ranked choice mayoral vote tally release.

“If you feed, they will breed” wrote the National Observer in the 1960s.  So let’s inspect how the Rs and Ds are both hosed up on this.  USAID cuts may cause over 14 million additional deaths. The problem for the liberals? Most of those additional deaths were not in the USA.  AND the planet does have this population problem which is driving resource depletion.  So, do we need more air-breathers?  The R’s get faulted too, though. We really do need to put People ahead of Products.  This is the kind of thing pondered in Downsizing (my latest smashing of forehead into walls) trying to sort out chronic bullshit.  (Is it a psycho malfunction or a great business model?)

Good news – and bad – for Walmart.  Walmart has been plagued since late last week with an online shopping CAPCHA login problem.

A mixed report card today as they seem to have gotten the logon for online shopping fixed for Firefox and most other browsers. Edge is only about 5% of the market now, so that’s like choosing to commute in a PT Cruiser when the Teslas are free. Online is dominated by Chrome. (Chrome has  64-66% global market share, Safari has approximately 18-24%, and Edge hangs on at 5-13%. – this is where you’re supposed to know that Webkit, the rendering backend of Safari is open source, even if Safari isn’t…wait, did I just drive into the weeds?)

Sure, we like the tight Edge with natural voices read-aloud integration in Edge.  But we like ordering wine more.

Today, we still got the “so sorry” when checking it out with MS Edge.  Want to place bets on Walmart programmer overtime this weekend?

BUT the good news is that our favorite jug wine is back in stock, so that, along with a load of bolillos and we wouldn’t dump Wally stock, yet.

Oh, and don’t forget to Flossie: Tropical depression dumps rain in eastern Mexico as Flossie brews off west coast.

Around the Ranch: Fourth Checklist

Here, use mine:

  • Food and beverage run
  • Got scrips stocked up
  • Gas for the lawnmower
  • Projects pre-negotiated
  • Weather outlooks and alternative mapped
  • Cars filled
  • Call the kids
  • Pick up more explosives…. (2 1/2-inchers or cherry bombs down mole holes, right? We like keeping red-necked “precision munitions” around for bombing our local enemies.)

The rest of my list is dealer’s choice.  Mine should include unboxing the new table saw (ShopTalk Sunday?) and maybe some “Ham radio Tree work…” approached with chainsaw diplomacy.  Depends on weather and ambition, though.

Are you ready for it?

Next week, we’ll all look back on the weekend ahead.  That’s when the real relaxing will take place – when its safely in the rear view. Until the endodontist’s office calls to remind me of oral surgery ahead. Which is what drove me to finish the book this week so I can relax with some drugs next week… The older you get, the more you plan such things well in advance.  You’ll see… the drugs are better but come with a pain coupon.

Write when you get rich,

Report: Strontium Barium Niobate, Chemtrails, and Persistent Holograms
      Executive Summary
This report investigates the claim that Strontium Barium Niobate (SBN), a photorefractive crystal, is used in chemtrails to project three-dimensional (3D) holographic displays in the sky that persist for hours, as suggested by conspiracy theories and a 1998 Army Research Laboratory document. The analysis evaluates the scientific feasibility of SBN in holographic applications, the evidence for chemtrails containing SBN, and the plausibility of large-scale atmospheric holography. Findings indicate that while SBN is a viable material for small-scale holographic displays in controlled environments, there is no credible evidence supporting its use in chemtrails or for projecting persistent atmospheric holograms. The claim appears rooted in misinterpretations of scientific research and amplified by conspiracy narratives, particularly those surrounding “Project Blue Beam.”
      1. Introduction
The concept of chemtrails—persistent aircraft trails alleged to contain chemicals for nefarious purposes—has been a persistent conspiracy theory since the late 1990s. One specific claim links chemtrails to Strontium Barium Niobate (SBN), a photorefractive crystal studied for holographic displays, asserting that it is sprayed into the atmosphere to create long-lasting 3D holograms. This claim often references a 1998 Army Research Laboratory document titled “3-D Holographic Display Using Strontium Barium Niobate” and ties to theories like “Project Blue Beam,” which alleges a staged alien invasion or global deception using advanced holography. This report critically examines the scientific basis, evidence, and context of these claims.
      2. Background
      2.1 Strontium Barium Niobate (SBN)
Strontium Barium Niobate (SBN, Sr?Ba???Nb?O?) is a ferroelectric, photorefractive crystal used in optics and photonics. Its properties include:

Photorefractive Effect: SBN can change its refractive index when exposed to light, enabling dynamic hologram recording and projection.
Applications: Used in optical data storage, holography, and phase conjugation for small-scale, controlled environments like laboratories.
Historical Research: Studies, such as a 1969 paper on electrical control of holographic storage in SBN, highlight its potential for high-resolution holography with electric field modulation.

The 1998 Army Research Laboratory document (ADA338490) describes an innovative technique for generating 3D holographic displays using SBN. Key points include:

Holograms are recorded and projected in real-time within SBN crystals.
A double-pumped phase-conjugate mirror enhances image quality and field of view.
Holograms persisted for hours during readout and days in dark storage, referring to the crystal’s ability to retain holographic data, not atmospheric projections.
The experiments were conducted in a laboratory setting with small crystals (approximately 20 mm × 20 mm).

      2.2 Chemtrails
Chemtrails are alleged to be chemical-laden aircraft trails distinct from contrails (condensation trails formed by water vapor and engine exhaust under specific atmospheric conditions). Conspiracy theorists claim chemtrails contain metals like aluminum, barium, and strontium for purposes such as weather modification, population control, or, in this case, holographic projection. Scientific consensus attributes persistent trails to contrails, which can spread into cirrus clouds under high humidity and low temperatures. No peer-reviewed studies confirm the existence of chemtrails as a deliberate spraying program.
      2.3 Project Blue Beam
The “Project Blue Beam” theory, popularized by Serge Monast in the 1990s, claims a global conspiracy to use advanced technology, including sky-projected holograms, to stage events like alien invasions or religious apparitions to establish a “New World Order.” It is often cited in chemtrail narratives, with SBN allegedly enabling these holograms.
      3. Analysis of the Claim
3.1 Scientific Feasibility of SBN in Atmospheric Holography
To assess whether SBN could be used in chemtrails to create persistent atmospheric holograms, several technical aspects are considered:
      3.1.1 SBN’s Role in Holography

Laboratory Context: The 1998 Army document describes SBN’s use in controlled environments, where holograms are recorded within the crystal and projected using precise laser systems. The “persistence for hours” refers to the crystal’s ability to retain holographic data during continuous readout, not an atmospheric effect.
Crystal Size Limitation: Early SBN crystals were small (20 mm × 20 mm), limiting image size. Scaling to atmospheric projections would require massive crystals or an entirely different mechanism, which the document does not address.
Atmospheric Application: Projecting holograms in the sky would require dispersing SBN particles to form a reflective medium. This is scientifically implausible because:
SBN is a solid crystal, not a gas or aerosol suitable for spraying.
Atmospheric conditions (turbulence, wind, moisture) would scatter particles, disrupting the coherence needed for holography.
The energy required for laser-based holographic projection over large areas is prohibitive, requiring infrastructure far beyond current capabilities.

      3.1.2 Persistence of Holograms
The claim that “holograms persisted for hours” misinterprets the Army document. The persistence refers to the durability of holographic data within the SBN crystal, not a visible image in the atmosphere. Atmospheric holograms, if feasible, would dissipate rapidly due to particle dispersion and environmental factors.
      3.1.3 Alternative Technologies
Modern holographic displays use technologies like organic photorefractive polymers or digital micromirror devices, which are more scalable than SBN. Research into atmospheric displays (e.g., plasma-based projections) exists, but these do not involve SBN or chemtrails and are experimental, not deployable at scale.
3.2 Evidence for SBN in Chemtrails
Conspiracy sources claim chemtrails contain strontium and barium, components of SBN, citing rainwater and soil tests showing elevated levels of these elements. The evidence is evaluated as follows:
      3.2.1 Rainwater and Soil Tests

Findings: Some individuals report high levels of barium, strontium, and aluminum in rainwater or soil, attributing them to chemtrails. For example, a 2007 KSLA news report claimed high barium levels in rainwater, later retracted due to misinterpretation of units (43 µg/L, within normal environmental ranges).
Scientific Context: Barium and strontium are naturally occurring elements in soil and water, with levels varying by geography and weather. Industrial activities (e.g., coal combustion, drilling) also contribute trace amounts. Studies, such as those by Purdey (2004), suggest environmental metal exposure may correlate with health issues, but do not link these to chemtrails.
SBN Specifics: SBN is a complex compound (Sr?Ba???Nb?O?), not a simple mixture of strontium and barium. There is no evidence that SBN, as a crystal, is present in environmental samples or could be aerosolized effectively.

      3.2.2 Lack of Peer-Reviewed Studies
No credible scientific studies confirm SBN or its components in aircraft emissions beyond normal engine particulates. Claims rely on anecdotal tests, often conducted without rigorous controls, and are contradicted by atmospheric science research.
3.3 Connection to Project Blue Beam
The linkage of SBN to chemtrails often invokes Project Blue Beam, which lacks verifiable evidence. The theory relies on:

Misinterpretation of the 1998 Army document as evidence of a deployable technology.
Speculation about HAARP (High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) or nuclear fallout creating atmospheric conditions for holography, which is unsupported by physics.
Social media amplification, with posts on platforms like Reddit and Steemit citing the Army document without context.

      3.4 Health and Environmental Concerns
Conspiracy narratives claim chemtrail-sprayed SBN or its components cause health issues (e.g., neurodegenerative diseases). Scientific analysis:

Health Risks: High exposure to barium or strontium can cause health issues (e.g., respiratory irritation, bone disorders), but environmental levels from natural or industrial sources are typically below harmful thresholds. No studies link SBN specifically to health effects.
Environmental Impact: Persistent contrails contribute to radiative forcing by forming cirrus clouds, but this is a climate effect, not evidence of chemical spraying.

      4. Social and Cultural Context
The SBN-chemtrail-hologram narrative thrives in conspiracy communities due to:

Distrust in Institutions: Public skepticism of government and military fuels beliefs in secret programs.
Misinformation Spread: Social media platforms (e.g., Reddit, WordPress) amplify unverified claims, often citing the 1998 Army document out of context.
Psychological Factors: The need to explain visible phenomena (persistent contrails) leads to attribution of intentionality, reinforced by confirmation bias.

      5. Counterarguments and Debunking

Contrail Science: Persistent trails are explained by atmospheric conditions, not chemical spraying. Experts, like those cited by Mick West on Metabunk, attribute trail patterns to humidity and temperature variations.
Holography Limitations: Atmospheric holography at scale is beyond current technology, and SBN is impractical for such applications.
Document Misinterpretation: The 1998 Army document discusses laboratory experiments, not atmospheric deployment. Claims about “coating the sky” with SBN are speculative extrapolations.

      6. Conclusion
The claim that Strontium Barium Niobate is used in chemtrails to create persistent holographic displays lacks scientific credibility. While SBN is a valid material for holographic research, its application is limited to controlled laboratory settings, and there is no evidence it could be aerosolized or used for large-scale atmospheric projections. Allegations of SBN in chemtrails rely on misinterpretations of a 1998 Army Research Laboratory document, anecdotal environmental tests, and unverified conspiracy narratives like Project Blue Beam. Persistent aircraft trails are best explained as contrails, and health concerns about barium or strontium are not supported by evidence linking them to aerial spraying. Public education on atmospheric science and critical evaluation of sources can help counter such misinformation.
      7. Recommendations

Public Awareness: Promote scientific literacy about contrails and atmospheric optics to dispel chemtrail myths.
Research Transparency: Military and scientific institutions should clarify the scope of research like the 1998 SBN study to prevent misinterpretation.
Regulation of Misinformation: Social media platforms should monitor and flag misleading claims about chemtrails and holography, balancing free speech with harm prevention.

      • IMO, any article that claims chemtrails are a conspiracy theory is not worth reading.

      • RE: Your AI “Report SBN, Chemtrails, and Persistent Holograms”

George, seems to me that at least the ‘chemtrail debunking’ aspect of your AI report is ‘gaslighting’ of the highest order. The trivializingly dismissive debunking of chemtrails as merely persistent contrails is not the ‘scientific concensus’, as claimed. Any analysis of chemtrails without discussing the work of Elana Freeland (her book “Geoengineered Transhumanism”) and Dane Wiggington’s reporting at Geoengineeringwatch.org is not really serious but lies and obfuscation. References from mainstream news and opinion sources are not to be believed, in my opinion.

The science and engineering behind chemtrail development and delivery was based on work done by Army’s ‘Biological, Chemical and Radialogical’ warfare groups at Ft. Detrick. This was supplemented by efforts at certain pharmaceutical companies and university labs developing aerosolized drug delivery technology. I know because I witnessed some of this work. Chemtrail delivery, for weather modification and other nefarious purposes, has built on the research alluded to above to engineer large scale production and delivery technology to achieve effective dispersion of particulate matter into the atmosphere with the necessary particle size distribution (< 2 micrometers diameter), and required repellant surface charge to prevent aggregation and optimize suspension persistence.

An example of Ft. Detrick's biological warfare work can be found in the anthrax-containing letters sent to Senators Daschle and Leahy within weeks after the 9/11 attacks (to warn them against opposing passage of the Patriot Act). The anthrax spore bioweapon in those letter, which was traced back to Ft. Detrick research labs, represented an enormous effort by the Army to research and develop such aerosolizable agents for use in war.

As we've all deduced by now, we are already immersed in WWIII, and as G. A. Stewart claims, we have been since 2011. So in my view, chemtrails are just one of the many weapons being used against humanity by the globalists and those of the Talmudic belief system.

No one manning the guard shack at the entrance, so I drove on in. Entered the first building I came to which was wide open. When I got inside and saw all the biohazard signs, I figured it was time to leave. But I wasn’t challenged at all.

  2. Revenge shopping …

Gorgeous morning on the coolest day in nine. The punch list has tough stuff (assigned to Padawan) and cush quick fixes which I may be a part of. There are two or three items requiring wading / submerging. I’m definitely down on the Diver Dan portions.

Dear Friends who have been joining us at the lake 4th celebrations for over forty years are inbound soon. E2 with DIL and E3 should be on the morning menu Thursday. Can’t wait. My Grandling, at thirteen months, is perfekt age to create a water baby. I taught infant swimming long ago and found it very rewarding. This kid is my kin so let’s party in the shallow end.

E2’s in laws are a bit nervy around water. Legit but? We got this. Toddler danger stuff removed. Neighbor kids humored me to leave a teeny turtle that visits daily alone. I have plans for that little fella. Heron is fishing from my race boat. Caused pause in finish.

No shopping for E1, just flag flying and bird watching. Mrs. E has been spending enough for both of us / all of us. Is it revenge shopping if at the grocery? Or, liquor store? Nah

    Have a fine day,
    Egor

The median income—the midpoint where half earn more and half earn less—is a more accurate reflection of what most people experience. In 2023, the U.S. median household income was about $80,610, but that varies drastically by region, race, and education.
or about Forty dollars an hour lol lol.. when you exclude the wealthiest 10%, that average drops to about $65,000.
If you go further and exclude the top 50 richest individuals, it drops even more—to around $48,000.
That’s a $9,500 difference just by removing the top 10 earners—proof of how much extreme wealth skews the average.
around here.. average income is around thirty thousand a year..lol lol lol it totally depends on who’s painting the rosey picture of statistics.. those at low income hubs are making twenty grand or less per year.. its weekend at bernies with the politicians strapped to a dead currency dancing around the stage.. the wife asked me what I wrote yesterday.. so I read my thoughts on the stats and economy..she rolled her eyes and said I wish you’d quit dragging that dead horse around lol lol

      • If you want to know how truly wealthy you are just ask a car salesman lol lol lol

  6. (“Dow still lagging but the other two are way up.
Do you think it is valid intraweek?”)

    OTFLMAO…….hmmm…no…..lol
I find it fascinating on Just—how economic statistics can be massaged, cherry-picked, or framed to tell a story that serves political or institutional interests rather than reflect the lived reality of most people. They tout a low unemployment rate, but not mention the labor force participation rate, which could be falling because people have given up looking for work. the drop off from unemployment recipients and those that they refuse to give the benefits to..Then theres the Official inflation (like CPI) that excludes some volatile items like food and energy—yet those are the very things that hit households hardest. All designed to paint a picture of an economy flourishing ..Then the stats of a rising GDP which sounds great, but it doesn’t show who’s benefiting. If the top 1% gains while wages stagnate for everyone else, GDP still looks “healthy.” ..Then all the Reports of an average income can be misleading if a few ultra-wealthy individuals skew the numbers. Median income gives a more accurate picture of the typical household—but it’s often buried or omitted.take the COLA that was in actuality a negative in comparison to the inflation levels..
The business model of the noodle on the table.. then big companies that have a skeleton full time stave with the majority of the People they staff working part-time who want full-time jobs but are often not counted in the main unemployment figure. Then there’s Household, corporate, and government debt that is rising unsustainably, these figures and events rarely make the headlines unless there’s a crisis forcing them to report it.
you’ll read my venting quite often as I vent to just get it out.. this is the new normal. Stats that show a rising net worth, but not reveal that most of the gains are concentrated at the top.
Leaders want to show progress, especially before elections. Positive stats boost confidence—even if they’re misleading. Then show positive stats while they are in office to mislead the general public that see..I’m doing my job..The USA was downgraded to an anocracy where we blend autocratic information with democratic GDP growth is often overstated—sometimes by as much as 35%—to maintain legitimacy..It’s like reading a weather report that says “sunny skies 40% chance of rain” all while you’re standing in the rain. The numbers may be technically accurate—but they’re not telling the whole story.
the business model of stuffing big buck billies pockets while stealing the child’s candy..The spin will continue until the moment when institutions are forced to admit the true state of the economy—they can juggle or kite these figures for months or years of spin—usually comes down to one thing: reality becomes too loud to ignore. Here’s how that unraveling tends to happen. Check kiting.. where someone dumps money in one bank then withdraws it to invest in another all while writing checks on the newly vacant account. all done on a macroeconomic scale. Traditionally, kiting refers to a deceptive financial practice where someone exploits timing delays—like writing checks between accounts with insufficient funds—to create the illusion of liquidity. When governments or institutions manipulate economic statistics, delay acknowledging debt, or use short-term borrowing to cover long-term obligations, they’re engaging in a systemic version of kiting.governments may roll over debt, print money, or repackage liabilities to make the economy look healthier than it is.I could go on with my view on what I see..but then I’m just an old moron at the bottom of the pile of social classes..I see a Bernie Madoff .. hey weekend at bernies..the fiat Currencies Like Bernie’s lifeless body being propped up with sunglasses and string, fiat currencies today often seem animated more by illusion than intrinsic vitality.Just as partygoers in Weekend at Bernie’s fail to notice he’s dead, many people trust fiat currencies because official reports and media narratives maintain the appearance of economic health. But beneath the surface, central banks are often printing money to cover deficits, inflating asset bubbles, and masking systemic fragility..
Fiat currencies aren’t backed by tangible assets like gold or silver or even grain..hey peanuts and nut bucks with the mr. planter peanut on the dollar bill… Their value hinges on public confidence and government decree—“fiat” literally means “let it be done.” When that trust erodes, the currency’s purchasing power can collapse, as seen in historical cases of hyperinflation as seen in historical cases of hyperinflation. its all played over and over through out history.. the Romans did what we did with our coinage with the silver denarius, reducing its silver content from 95% to less than 1% over centuries.. its all the same game different civilization.. Weimar here we come..

  7. Nothing more than the advancement of digital imprisonment. Trump wanting to strip the NY mayor candidate of his citizenship because he doesn’t like what he says. 8. I know summer has finally arrived when the Fireflies come out and the early LOCAL Sweet Corn starts coming in.

Nothing better in the summer than a dinner of fresh picked (less than 2 hours from picking to in the pot – 1 hour better) Sweet Corn with fresh picked tomatos … followed by home made short cake (NOT sponge cake) and fresh picked strawberries covered with some heavy cream. AH … I get transported back to being about 10 when I eat that fabulous meal, don’t even need a burger with it.

  9. Take Argentina’s and their Interest Rate Rollercoaster In recent years, Argentina has swung its benchmark interest rate wildly in response to runaway inflation. At its peak in 2023, the rate hit 133%, a desperate attempt to stabilize the peso and restore investor confidence. Since then, under President Javier Milei, the central bank has cut rates nine times!
the kicker to these rate hikes weren’t about long-term economic health—they were about propping up a collapsing narrative, much like the “Bernie” metaphor earlier. The system was already broken; the rates were just the sunglasses and string.
then consider the Weimar’s Pre-Depression Spiral In the early 1920s, Germany’s Weimar Republic faced crippling war reparations, a collapsed industrial base, and a public drowning in paper money. The Reichsbank printed currency to meet obligations, triggering hyperinflation so severe that by late 1923, a loaf of bread cost billions of marks..Interest rates were raised in the aftermath to curb inflation and attract foreign capital, but by then, the damage was done. Confidence was shattered, and the social fabric had frayed. The Pattern In both Both cases of the us economy and fiat currencies show how interest rate manipulation becomes a last-ditch effort when deeper structural issues—like fiscal mismanagement, external debt, or loss of productive capacity—go unaddressed. It’s not about fixing the engine; it’s about keeping the dashboard lights from flashing red.
If an old unedjumicated moron in the wastelands can see this parallel you’d assume those with some thinking juice could also seethe same scenario playing out.Is it Greed, or the Gospel of Growth that deceives those in the upper crust of society ? For many in the upper echelons, skyrocketing numbers—stock portfolios, GDP, asset valuations—become a kind of moral justification. If the numbers are going up, then the system must be working, right? This belief can create a feedback loop where success is seen as proof of virtue, and suffering as evidence of failure or laziness.or is it the Seduction of Abstraction where Wealth often becomes an abstracted from real-world consequences. When your net worth grows through derivatives, buybacks, or speculative assets, it’s easy to lose sight of the human cost—wage stagnation, housing crises, ecological collapse. The spreadsheet becomes the story, and the story becomes reality. So Is It Deception? Or Self-Deception? In many cases, I believe it’s both. The system rewards those who believe in it most fervently. And when the rewards are great enough, even the most obvious cracks can be painted over with glossy reports and rising digits. weekend at Berries the politicians image is as tragicomic as it is incisive, Just. Politicians dragging around a “dead Bernie” or a “dead currency” is more than a metaphor to the theater of modern economic policy.

  10. A beautiful morning here, glassy calm and already little kids laughing and playing in the warm lagoon shallows. Just finished wiping the dew from the solar to maximize every photon and am looking forward to hearing the drumming practice that now goes on every day as the local population gets ready for the biggest party on the planet, celebrating head chopping and such in a land so far away it’s just a spot on their imagination. And rulers in a cubicle.
Will be working on some anti-chafe for the sail, a bit of hand sewing using a simple tool/s, palm and needle, that has been part of the sea going fraternity for eons. A pleasure to hear the specially sharpened point puncture the fabric, and then the sound as you pull the waxed thread through the hole and cinch it tight. A sort of metronomic symphony when done with a meditative attitude, a form of EROTT (endless repetition of thankless tasks) that makes boatbuilding and sailmaking develop patience and add to your allotted lifespan, similar to how spending days at sea does.

      • Lol lol… Basic Pruno (Prison Hooch) Recipe
        lol lol…
10 peeled oranges (or any mix of fruit: apples, peaches, etc.)
        1 can of fruit cocktail
50 sugar cubes (or about 1 cup of sugar)
6 teaspoons of ketchup (provides acidity and nutrients for fermentation)
1 slice of moldy bread (as a yeast source, if no brewer’s yeast is available)
        Warm water
A heavy-duty plastic bag or bottle with a loose cap
        Instructions:
Mash the fruit: Combine all fruit in a sealable plastic bag. Mash it thoroughly into a pulp.
Add sugar and ketchup: Mix in sugar cubes and ketchup. Stir or knead until dissolved.
Add yeast source: Drop in the moldy bread (or yeast if you have it).
Seal and warm: Seal the bag loosely to allow gas to escape. Wrap in a towel and keep in a warm place (like under a blanket or near a heat source).
Ferment: Let it sit for 5–7 days. Massage the bag daily to release gas buildup and prevent bursting.
Strain and serve: Once bubbling stops and the smell is sharp and alcoholic, strain out the solids. The liquid is your hooch.

its always in the recipe… how did you lime the beet wine?

        • LOOB: In the late 1960s I worked in a prison. Inmates struggled to get assigned to the kitchen. Ingredients for hooch and treats to sell on the cellblock were the perks. I remember one inmate telling me how he could make bacon and eggs on his plumbing gang lead melting burner using stuff smuggled from the kitchen.

There were worse ways to do time. But personally, I would have preferred the farm gang or the powerplant that was outside the wall. Organized crime types tried to get assigned as “runners” i.e. inmates that carried messages between cell blocks. It was a very interesting economy.

  12. Forum conversation yesterday..,
Her: “Seems to me like you have a math formula for just about everything.”
Me: “Well, not everything.., but close. From finance to baking bread, it all has a math model, or formula. If you want to critical examine any area of your life – you need to break it down to it’s components., and math is the easiest way to do that.., for me, anyway.”
Her: “How about your vegetable garden? You have a math formula for ‘that’!?”
Me: “As a matter of fact.., I do.”
    [ and I wrote..,]
For every heirloom big ole Beef Stake tomatoes I plant., I also plant two Roma tomatoes. You can’t make a ‘great’ BLT without slices of a fresh Beef Stake.., I believe it’s a law. The Roma’s I grow are great for salsa, sauces, or paste. I went to three Roma’s per Beef Stake this year. [ Probably four next year. Need more salsa and sauce for the Winter.] For every Beef Stake I also plant two Early Girl tomatoes. Great slicers, great flavor, prolific and produce all Summer up until the first frost. Heat and drought tolerant., disease and blossom end rot resistant. Great for salads, soups and stews. Can really well also as stewed tomatoes.
As part of my overall garden – this is my math for tomatoes. [ I also planted one cherry tomato., red and one yellow. The yellow is in it’s fifth year from the original plant and has turned into monster. Over six feet tall.]
So yeah – I have a little math going when I plan out the garden.
You want to hear about my onion plantings??

She never answered. Probably sorry she did. I couldn’t tell by the name, man or woman., but one commented that they are going to start doing this. “Makes a lot of sense!”

  13. on making chocolate at home..you can use liquid milk or cream..
usually you take a cookie..blend it to crumbs then mix the sweeten condensed milk.in it to make a batter or stiff dough then pot that over the Initial chocolate then coat that with chocolate… you a I sure its creamienes by using your wet grinder but if you have a ninja blender that works really good..chocolate bunnies or eggs.. there you can do molds ..I actually got the grandkids an injection mold..The kids enjoyed that a lot.. they could fill the eggs or make hollow eggs..We have a cake and candy place here has just about every mold you can imagine..cheap..a regular candy bar runs less than a nickle..back in the day it was less than that..

(7 oz) dark or milk chocolate, chopped
(3.4 oz) heavy cream (at least 35% fat)
1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra silkiness)
    1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
    Pinch of salt

    Instructions:
Heat the cream: In a small saucepan, gently heat the cream until it just begins to simmer—don’t let it boil.
Pour over chocolate: Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over it and let it sit for 2–3 minutes.
Stir until smooth: Gently stir the mixture until the chocolate is fully melted and glossy. Add butter, vanilla, and salt if using.
Set and chill: Pour the ganache into a parchment-lined dish or mold. Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 2–3 hours until firm.
Cut and enjoy: Slice into squares or roll into truffles. Dust with cocoa powder or dip in melted chocolate for a shell.

  14. Rinsed, filled and shocked two 55 gallon water drums this afternoon. I have black covers on both, with steel dollies.

  15. Is is just me, or are any of you guys suspicious of “the app”? Seems like that’s the key to everything these days. That and that coded emblem they want us to scan into our phones. I say phooey!

    • But of course. I have an old dog who gets his meds via McNugget. Therefore, I go through the line at McDonald’s every few days. The drone on the intercom always asks if I’m using “the app.” For a road trip I tank up at Dunkin’ Donuts. Their app inquisitor is a crude AI-driven female machine voice. Every other drive-through “restaurant” has an app also, although not all franchisees for any of them have subscribed, yet.

People tell me to get the app because you get free stuff.

      TNSTAAFL.

They “give you free stuff,” usually fries or a drink (both of which cost the restaurant less than a dime) in exchange for marketing & research data, and the ability to sell both personal and targeting information (information that’s been validated and certified as accurate) to other retailers — If you don’t think Micky D’s sells info to Wendy’s and BK (and vice-versa), you’re too naive to read these pages.

The info you surrender to McDonald’s is worth roughly $300 PER MONTH, every month you use the app, if they know how to market it, and I assume they do. It’s worth at least $600 on the hacker IRC channels, but I also assume legit business avoids these. ‘Point is, this is what you’re paying for that large Coke, which cost McDonald’s around 4.8¢ to draw, package, and shovel out the window into your ignorant hands (the cup/lid/straw costs far more than the soda pop.)

      It ain’t free…

As to QR codes? Exactly what does that QR code on your receipt, a store shelf, a magazine page, or even your TV, say? Does it install a virus, trojan, or keylogger? You don’t know, but if you can click on it, it has the potential to do so, and you don’t even get to read the sales pitch beforehand. ‘Makes me wonder if Nancy Pelosi gets a kickback from them, for spawning the idea: “You have to vote on it, to find out what’s in it.”

The apps on my phone are like the applications and utilities on my computer. They are apps which perform a function, and which I have installed myself, AFTER determining their function and limitations, and degree of potential invasiveness or “security leakage.” Store and restaurant apps will never see the inside of my phone, unless they’re pushed in. I delete pushed apps as soon as they show up, regardless of what they are.
