Let’s begin by reading from the book of Job.
No, silly, not the biblical. The data book on jobs over at the Labor Department server farm. Because it looks like this:

While the press release looks like this.
Total nonfarm payroll employment edged up by 115,000 in April, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in health care, transportation and warehousing, and retail trade. Federal government employment continued to decline.
If it doesn’t seem to fit, that’s between you and your ophthalmologist. 391,000 jobs were estimated into existence by the CES Birth-Death model.
Boom Times? Maybe
But not like economic boom times. More like the Daily War Score: U.S. launches “self-defense strikes” on Iran, says warships came under fire in Strait of Hormuz.

Trump Trade Troubles
Meanwhile, Trump isn’t doing very well on his global tariff plans. Trade court strikes down Trump’s latest tariffs – The Washington Post.
At the broader Supreme Court level, the earlier major tariff ruling in February 2026 was a 6–3 decision against Trump’s use of emergency tariff powers, with an unusual coalition:
- Roberts
- Sotomayor
- Kagan
- Gorsuch
- Barrett
- Jackson
in the majority.
So politically, this is not shaping up as a simple “Democrat judges vs Republican judges” story. The trade courts and Supreme Court have both shown cross-ideological skepticism toward expansive executive tariff authority.
What bothers us is who IS looking after incentives to keep American business, oh, you know – In America? (crickets)
A Weekend Worry
Since we’ve been posting prepping notes for well over 25 years now, and EMP and loss of electronic infrastructure is a common thread, here’s a story to disrupt your sleep-cycle: Harvard Canvas Site Goes Down After University Listed in Instructure Breach | News | The Harvard Crimson.
For now, it looks like a single software vulnerability. But the larger question is when will this kind of thing really scale up to banks, phone systems, and transfer systems?
Ready for More Freedom?
Second Amendment fans will be pleased: USPS proposal would allow handguns to be sent through the mail for the first time since 1927. We see the statistical problem, though. Average IQs are little changed. More tech, sure. But going up?
For now, we’ve shelved our plans to buy a pawn shop with an FFL ticket.
Oh Rats!
Or is that “Oh ship!” Spain readies for evacuations as a hantavirus-hit cruise ship heads for Canary Islands. Bring your own canary. The story kind of haunts us in a 12 Monkeys way.
[Yes, it used to be 13 Monkeys but that was before the latest Mandela Effect from the time-change month or two back.]
Tornadoes and T-Storms Loom
That time of the year: Showers and thunderstorms are due across the Southern Plains and Gulf Coast through the weekend, with locally heavy rain possible. Above-average temperatures are forecast for the West, while a stalled front keeps rain chances high from Southeast Texas to the Florida Panhandle.
Somewhere — over age 50 usually — you’ll run out of weather-rescue story reruns. Same plots. And if they don’t impact you personally, why bother, right?

Around the Ranch: Intuition Works, Again
The secret to a long, happy life is learning to work with, not against, your intuition. It has been proven to me as recently as the past day. But before I “regale with a tale,” here are a few ways intuition works. Or at least seems to. These examples give you some understanding of how “intuition drives” – if you let it.
Flying across the country in our old Beechcraft, 15 years or so back, I had an urge to drop altitude by 50 feet. Not five minutes later, a tad under our assigned flight level, another light aircraft descending whizzed by. Passing from ahead right to lower left. Listening to the quiet voice of intuition resulted in a word or three with ATC about idiots in the sky with transponders off. Intuition had spoken. I’d listened.
Sailing on Puget Sound, many times back in my live-aboard sailing days, it was my weekend with the kids and we’d sailed to Poulsbo, WA. Coming back across the Vessel Traffic Lanes, I had an urge to keep the portable VHF; just in case. Just as we entered the southbound VTS lane, the formerly reliable Yanmar four-banger cacked an oil filter gasket. Which would have been a “no big deal” except there was an Evergreen container ship southbound two miles north coming right at us. A radio call to the bridge of the southbound (while hoisting the furled jib as quickly as possible) and the container ship passed about 150 feet away. Without intuition (and monitoring VTS) who knows, right?
And then there was the Sunday morning on Texas 155 when I wanted to “open it up” on my old 930 wide body. Over 150 MPH just after sunrise on a Sunday morning. Odd thing, though. After “getting it out of my system” I was coming down the single-lane oil sand road toward our place in the woods. Intuition went off like a klaxon. “Slow down – deer around next bend.” I did. There were – a parade of three or four of them. Intuition turned a potential problem into sightseeing.
Now the Tale Part
Better part of two years ago, I got this crazy design idea to build an outdoor vegetable washing station by the northwest water faucet outside the grow room (greenhouse 1).
I’d picked up an Amazon deal on a stainless bar sink, the outflow plumbing, and a really nice pull-down, commercial grade rinser/sprayer.
Then for the longest time…it just sat there. See, I have a roll-around shelving unit in the shop where project materials come in, land, and wait until they move up to the top of my Kanban list and get knocked out. This way, I am always productive, always have something to do, and no waiting on supplies. I just go.
So this bar sink, plumbing parts, and a really good-looking rinser/sprayer faucet have been sitting in my projects queue for just over two years.
But for some reason – every time it got close to installation – something else with a higher priority would overtake it. Now, with me in serious gardening mode, I was just thinking while writing ShopTalk Sunday last week about moving it forward just…well…because.
Honestly, I didn’t know why, but intuition was saying wait a few more days.
Then yesterday? In comes an email from Amazon. My rinser-sprayer was recalled!
“Dear Amazon Customer,
We write to notify you of a potential safety concern with a product that you purchased on Amazon.com. Please review the Recalls and Product Safety Alerts page for further details: https://www.Amazon.com/your-product-safety-alerts
Product: HGN Kitchen Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer,Commercial Single Handle Kitchen Sink Faucets for Farmhouse Camper Laundry Utility Rv Wet Bar Sinks Brushed Nickel
Order ID: 114-9688926…”
Leaving me to “take a moment” to ponder how intuition operates. Down at the Reality Hospital layer.
Not an hour later, Elaine reminded me “My sink in the master bathroom is running slow…”
With the rinser/sprayer gone, I just happened to have a flexible sink tailpiece in exactly her sink’s size – which is the same as the uninstalled bar sink.
All that was left was to connect the dots. “Scrub that garden sink idea…for now.”
Not sure what the Universe (or THE DUDE) has in mind, but I’m sure it will be OK.
Like we have a choice? Could “going with your intuition” be the hidden key to life extension?
Write when you get rich,
George@Ure.net
“Could “going with your intuition” be the hidden key to life extension?”
Yes indeed, when youse realize that intuition is nothing more than a Qigong phenomena. As Humanity becomes Aware and or More Aware, things like Intuition will become much better understood.
The “information”, (Deers, Airplane, Freighter) were always there in real time, ..Everything and Everybody is connected in this regard.
In the back of Ure head there sits a Gland, at about Eyebrow level – the ancients called this gland the Gateway. Ancient writings suggest this gland was intentionally Down Regulated and or Closed – to keep us beasts’ of burden docile. Think calcification of this gland as physiologic way to down regulate the Pineal.
Would you believe Moi if I told there are Peptides that work on this problem ?
What about Tamarind ? For it is said to be of great utility in decalcifying Ure Pineal gland.
Something to ponder and noddle on this weekend perhaps.
* Zero Sparrows in yard this AM, it was rough afternoon yesterday in the straights of hormuz lite, for the lil english bastards. Blues and Swallows vs Sparrows
Best shot of the day – 35 yds, into bluebird box hole and Sparrow face centered in the entrance hole. Zero’d in on the black stripe on its head. Bit of a mess on inside of box – dont want to do that again, will wait for better shot next time, outside the box. Alls quite on the back 9 again this AM..
Pavlov’s bird experiment. Should turn out as predicted. Good luck!
Turns out you don’t have to kill a rooster to get it off the property. Just chase and throw something at it close. Slingshot thru the bush leaves it was thinking were hiding it was just enough to scare old leghorn. Amid much squawking and flapping, he went over the fence and at least three houses away… far enough that his 0430am crowing don’t bother me any more. He hasn’t been back, now that he learned where the dangerous territory is. The blue haired nannies can rest assured that no chickens were harmed in this chase.
George : neighbor has a (12) unit bird chateau out front, left by the guy (2) owners ago. Every year the sparrows arrive first, stake out accommodations. Then the swallows return from Capistrano. Swallows being the F18 of birds they seize the lakefront apartments leaving the sparrows to face inward. After minor row they get along, for the rest of the season.
Always with the negative waves Moriarty.
Let there be peace. Eventually.
Enjoy Friday mateys.

Consumer sentiment reach another record low – according to the University of Michigan report. The general population has never felt this despondent before – ever. If you read through the report – ‘everyone’ is worried about ‘everything’. [ Except the top 5 % – they seem to be insulated and ‘unconcerned’.]
– Interestingly though Airbnb reported above average revenue over the past 90 days and near record reservations for June and July.
– So.., the average person is despondent, worried and fearful of their future but, they sure seem to have enough money for planning vacations – and not for prepping for their, or their family’s future.
– Report last week showed the average household has less than a weeks’ worth of food on hand. Single people and single parent households have less than five days of food in the cupboard.
The mental state of this country is highly suspect. …, wow !
* * *
Iran has made a deal with China to use their rail system to by-pass the U.S. blockade of the Straits of Hormuz.
Look for massive airstrikes on rail terminals and rail bridges/infrastructure if the bombing begins once again.
.., and who the hell is Hormuz !!??
– One prominent theory suggests that the name “Hormuz” derives from the Middle Persian pronunciation of the Zoroastrian god Ahura Mazda, the deity of wisdom and goodness, highlighting the region’s ancient ‘Persian’ cultural influence. This god of wisdom and goodness must be thoroughly disgusted right about now.
“Stay Frosty !”
Eveready with the answers: The Strait of Hormuz is generally believed to derive its name from the ancient Persian port kingdom of Hormuz (also spelled Ormuz, Hormoz, or Hurmuz).
The island and trading kingdom became enormously important during medieval trade between:
Persia, Arabia, India, and later Europe.
The exact linguistic root is debated, but historians usually connect it to:
the old Persian coastal kingdom/port,
not a person.
The medieval Kingdom of Hormuz controlled a major maritime choke point and became fabulously wealthy from trade tolls long before oil made the region globally strategic.
Portuguese explorer Afonso de Albuquerque captured Hormuz in 1515, and for a time the Portuguese Empire dominated the passage.
So the strait is essentially named after the nearby historical port/state of Hormuz rather than an individual human figure.
Well, seems Afonso had a shitty sense of direction – otherwise how could he have ended up in New Mexico?
I personally prefer the diety of Wisdom and Goodness.

(“the average person is despondent, worried and fearful of their future but, they sure seem to have enough money for planning vacations – and not for prepping for their, or their family’s future.”)
Its Plastic..It’s not that people aren’t worried about the future — they’re terrified.
But they’re using plastic to hold onto the few things that still give them a sense of quality of life. They’ll cut everywhere else before they give up the comforts that make life feel normal.
Meanwhile, businesses do exactly the same thing..they cut employee hours hire part time or day labor just to meet budgets, so people go home with less money, eat cheaper comfort foods, and use credit to even out the balance. It’s not irresponsibility — it’s basic survival…when I worked part time grocery..this came up a lot..people reduced their grocery buying cheaper ingredients.. retail products do the same..pump chip bags with air to make it look full while giving less product a sixteen ounce can holding twelve..more water than product..
most of my life I’ve been on the backside of this..which is why I’ve learned how to make a lot of the things that give us..a quality of life..the things not seen in some neighborhoods.. the issues simply don’t exist..I suspected but didn’t know for sure until I spent ten days in a gated neighborhood..
I’m convinced that the average person eats ten times the food they need every single day. Personally, I’ve found that doing serious work each day cuts my food desires a great deal. Driving is bad, since all you can do is sit there and eat, while listening to something. I don’t mind driving except for modern cars(this century) having horrible seats that barely support your butt and shoulders, while having clear space between your back and that of the seat. Older cars had no shoulder support(not needed) and did support your lower back. I’ve found that avoiding breakfast completely helps with acid reflux, and eating in the morning makes it worse.
Hmm… maybe not ten times, but people definitely don’t eat properly. People don’t eat ten times more — they eat ten times cheaper.
Fresh vegetables cost a fortune, so families survive on wheat, puffed snacks, and empty calories. And it’s not just food that changed — America did.
We didn’t get less active…. our work was hollowed out. Skilled, proud, hands on jobs were replaced with disposable part time labor while executives turned into desk anchors.
Companies stopped building people and started burning through them.
When a workplace has a 70% turnover rate, that’s not a job — that’s a warning sign A stop and go job while your looking for employment. The old company family of the sixties and seventies is gone. Now you’re just a number in a point system, punished for being sick, punished for having kids, punished for being human.
welcome to the new age..
https://youtu.be/ktvTqknDobU?si=rf1snBIMGCel2hg0
Here’s my smart ass comment.. lol…People actually don’t eat ten times more instead — they just eat ten times cheaper… fast food behind the wheel of the car or sitting in front of the boob tube… Fresh vegetables cost a mortgage payment, so families live on puffed air snacks and wheat based sadness. And no, America didn’t get lazy we had deregulation — our jobs did the thrive for more outsourcing our pride and labor so some schmuck could pad his pockets…. We traded real work for paper shuffling while executives evolved into highly paid desk ornaments… the desk anchors of progress… Workers went from ‘part of the team’ to ‘replaceable inventory…’ An average of 70% turnover rate.. Oh sure, its become totally normal — nothing says ‘we value you’ like burning through staff faster than a dollar store candle…. Welcome to the new age, where you’re disposable, overworked, underpaid, and somehow still expected to smile about it…. no pride..
https://youtu.be/d8NTbkaGT-o?si=YsIt0JsFOeF8MOZW
(“the average person is despondent, worried and fearful of their future but, they sure seem to have enough money for planning vacations – and not for prepping for their, or their family’s future.”)
Lol lol lol…I call it the car salesman event — if you want to feel like Diamond Jim, go talk to a salesman who’ll approve you for anything as long as you’re breathing.
It’s the same thing that happened in the 70s farm crisis…..easy credit made people feel rich until the bill came due.
The difference between then and now is it’s not just the farmers — it’s the whole population that doesn’t reside in the it doesn’t happen here neighborhoods.
People won’t give up the little things that make life feel normal until they are forced to.. so they cut everywhere else and use plastic to fill the gaps…..its human nature..in your mind you thing he’ll its only ten dollars a week.. Meanwhile I just shredded twenty pounds of I’m pre – approved credit card offers. They’re practically begging people to sink deeper in debt to keep the noodle moving across the table….Reagan gave tax rebates once he realized that trickle down didn’t trickle lol lol and cheese and the best peanut butter ever lol lol..
It’s actually the same replay we’ve seen in fallen civilizations throughout history…. When leaders ignore the needs of the people, things unravel — just like Marie Antoinette’s era.
During Prohibition, even Al Capone stepped in with food trucks and soup kitchens because the system wasn’t meeting basic needs.
The difference today is that the pressure isn’t limited to one group like the farmers in the 70s — it’s the entire population and the structure of the economy today….
With fiat currencies losing purchasing power, people in ordinary neighborhoods are watching their savings shrink just like during the Weimar period.
It’s the same pattern, just on a bigger scale….
one say you proudly proclaim..yup I have a million dollars….then all of a sudden it flips and they say..well all I have is a million dollars…

E-Mail this morning., regarding my mode of transportation to breakfast yesterday. [ Did I ask for your opinion ??]
“Riding a motorcycle “at your age”., especially a chopper is really dangerous!”
[ “Piss off !” ]
As far as I am concerned walking down the meat aisle in a well-stocked grocery store is dangerous.., to my health and my budget.
My ’49 Harley and I have a lot in common – both brought into existence in the Spring of that year – and have shared a large number of great adventures together since 1974.
“It’s a dangerous business, going out your door, You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off too.”
Life itself is dangerous. Buckle up., it can be a bumpy ride !
[ .., or stay hidden in your momma’s basement – it’s your life., live it the way you see fit – and so will I !! ]
“Stay Frosty !”
Nice to meet ‘nother 49’er – put ‘er there. Now get to the lawyer’s office – Hank is anxious
“Curious” is the proper word.
“Life itself is dangerous. Buckle up., it can be a bumpy ride !
[ .., or stay hidden in your momma’s basement – it’s your life., live it the way you see fit – and so will I !! ]”
Yes. Mr. Death will get you at the time and place of his choosing. No escape.

Three Piece, it is your business and your business only for you to decide to ride your motorcycle. You can handle it, as you are still a big and very strong dude. The scary part is other drivers who make bad driving decisions that could interfere with your right of way. I trust that you wear body armor, helmet, gloves, and proper boots. Other drivers are usually the safety consideration.
I have a dear friend who used to live near me and who rode a motorcycle. He always wore the jacket with metal plating front and back, along with the other proper clothing. He is a big and strong dude like you and rode his motorcycle with ease. He moved to the Seattle area and sold his bike.
I have always ridden as though everyone is out to kill me. Has worked so far.
Trust no one !!
When riding a motorcycle, no matter how safely, one has to assume that EVERY car out there in front of you is out to kill you. Been there… still alive.
Amen…there is a reason they are referred to as DONOR vehicles
“The scary part is other drivers who make bad driving decisions” Absolutely!
May I offer some tips I use when I ride?
Regarding what you wrote, I look at it this way. What we see as bad driving decisions may be that they are operating at the highest level they can achieve. And they ain’t gonna get any better.
Keep one finger poised over the front brake in town for faster reaction to that bad driver.
Go on by the dumb ass or drop back but NEVER ride in their blind spots.
There, I hope those get incorporated into your riding style and keep you rolling. Ride Safe
“Go on by the dumb ass or drop back but NEVER ride in their blind spots.”
Um, this is a necessary driving rule for anybody, no matter what they’re driving.
I want the spastic driver behind me if there’s any possible way for me to pass him(her.) If there’s not, I lay far enough back that WHEN (not “if”) he causes the accident, I have room to turn off, dodge, or at least stop before becoming a participant. I have also taught all my kids to do the same.
I left home this AM to strap on a feed bag, turned onto the principal spur (speed limit 40, no intersections, normal traffic drives about 47) behind a RS Camaro. The guys in the Camaro decided it was a good day to drive 12mph! The road is busy enough that passing is impossible. After following this asshat for several, I knew drivers were going to be strange. If you drive a lot, you become blessed with a kind of intuition which clues you as to whether the jerk at the front of the line is an outlier or a sign.
People are getting stupider and stupider. I drive probably 150,000 miles a year. I don’t generally see three accidents in a year.
I saw three accidents today and a fourth happened, about two miles behind me. I was driving in (and between) small towns, not any population-dense metropolis — neither rhyme nor reason for it — sunny/PCL, 79°, 35%, 20mi, etc.
Anyone who rides knows every enclosed MV pilot is out to get him.
Everyone who rides a lot knows that someday they’re going to have to lay it down.
I, too, never walk down a street without scanning the top floor windows or move into a building until I know where the exits lie. I don’t see you ever making light of anything.
That said, it sounds to me like you irritated or intimidated some nattering Karen or cowardly bully by your mere presence, and this E-Mail is a veiled threat. At least that’s how I would read it, were I in your place.
Please continue to watch your six…
I haven’t ridden a motorcycle since I was a kid. I am riding an electric bicycle these days. It’s best to go with Ure boots on.
The advantages of the electric bicycles (at least in Texas) are:
1) Won’t go fast enough to make every major mishap fatal. Ran into a tree limb grown across a sidewalk. Got up and rode off, albeit bruised and bleeding. I had on a super good Hong Kong crash helmet. Look it up on the Virginia Tech test site:
https://www.helmet.beam.vt.edu/bicycle-helmet-ratings.html
Currently at the no. 10 spot; $65 doing the same job as helmets costing 10x:
https://p2rsports.com/products/p2r-a20-xc-road-helmet
Should’ve laid the bike down. Small tear in a pannier. Not a scratch on the frame. I took the brunt of the abuse.
I am now using stealth Leatt pads under the clothing when I ride. You might want to think about it. The Leatt gear would also help next time you pick a fight with someone 45 years younger and 75 Lbs heavier, who turns out to be a real experienced bouncer, not a wanna-be couch potato bully.
2.) No insurance or licensing requirements.
3.) Most locations don’t care if you ride on the sidewalk, which reduces the need to ride in heavy traffic. Most pedestrian paths are open to bicycles.
4.) Freight capacity is better for the electric bicycle. Trailers are easier to come by and cheaper. My biggest splurge on cycles has been an expedition grade bucket-list Tout Terrain (pronounced toot terrain) German freight hauler:
https://tout-terrain.bike/products/mule-trailer
Tout Terrain makes bucket list grade electric bikes with Pinion MGU drives, but they are not sold in this country. I get by with a Surly Skid Load with add-on shock absorption. A Pinion MGU is on the bucket list.
Disadvantages:
1. Slow.
2. Falls easier than a motorcycle. Most of my falls have been dismounting, or trying to do stupid sh!t like opening gates while still seated. Wear the helmet, always. Get a double kick-stand and use it.
3. Not enough dedicated riding paths.
4. Rides rough. Add-on Red Shift or nearest equivalent shock absorption are needed for hard forks and tail. Get a dropper suspension post and an Air Seat spring module, if the geometry make the seat ride too high.
5. Safety features like lights and good reflectors are usually afterthought add-ons. I have a lot of ’em. Light it up good, and carry to deal with hit and runs. You might get off a corrective prone shot from the ditch, if you are padded up correctly. Put in a good rear view mirror, and ride with one eye on it. Biggest threat I typically see is cell phone DUI’s. You can tell’em immediately. They miss you by inches, then jerk the wheel violently to the left about 150 ft to 200 ft past you, when the cell phone reaction time fog lifts.
Happy cycling.
George,
Have you or anyone here observed a dramatic increase in ticks? I viewed a video about someone who spied boxes filled with ticks out in the woods where he was hiking. He showed ticks allover the box and also showed video of deer and snakes covered with ticks. In videos from other people, they said that boxes full of ticks had been dropped in the woods in various places. Just wondering about the validity of this issue. Thanks.
None down here but a likely either game or terrorism group behind it i’d reckon. We keep racoons fed just enough so they, possums and armoredfiller will munch
Nancy, there are two trains of thought regarding this.
The first is the boxes are tick traps, and designed to collect, trap, and kill them.
The second is someone is distributing boxes full of genetically-modified ticks at the behest of Bill Gates.
I don’t know the truth, and suspect at least one of the fork-prongs above are supported by AI-generated pix or vids. Contrary to popular disinformation, Mr. Trump and his Administration is the most-transparent and easiest to contact, in the history of the U.S. I suggest you shoot an E-Mail to Lee Zeldin and simply ask him. If this is an actual thing, he’ll either know, or if he doesn’t, he will find out.

Enough information out that that Lyme disease was created in a lab.

Upon returning from Mount Sinai, Moses destroyed the idol, and the episode has since become an enduring piece of biblical imagery associated with spiritual betrayal and the worship of graven images and false gods.’

George I have been making tee shirt and rope baskets. My first 2 were with cut up old tee shirts and clothesline rope from the garage. I needed a long tapestry needle with a blunt tip. It’s pretty easy to make a rustic basket. My first tee shirt had side seams that added texture to the basket. There are lots of videos on YouTube and Facebook that explain how to cut the tee and the basic instructions to making a basket. I thought Elaine might be interested.
I bought some already made tee shirt yarn for a comparison and though the basket looked more posh, less rustic, but this is a fun project to use up old tee shirts and all the baskets are useful. Dollar Tree has plastic colorful clothesline for $5 that work well, even though the white cotton clothesline are a more traditional material.

It claims to have been taken on December 30, 2018 and subsequently placed on 123RF on April 9 and 20, 2019. The second image seems to have been taken on December 29, 2016, and showed up on Big Stock by January 6, 2019.
re: 9+ lives of Ocean Koi
feat: false flag at Jin li’s Big Temple Fair?
‘Intuition’ is an “Urbansurvival” headline word of the day. Yesterday the Publisher hosted a combative tale in comments. No quarrel of sparrows would argue the gentleman commenter’s wide aim at girth ‘n mirth. A yellow beach hazard flag was thrown like a flying asian carp fish. Meanwhile the Iranian Navy allegedly turned up the heat on a kettle of American war hawks. As that tempest in the teapot brewed, separately Iranian commandos lowered the boom and boarded oil tanker Ocean Koi as it attempted a Persian Gulf departure according to msm.
Ocean Koi is at least the ninth name assigned to a vessel that originally entered Swedish service 20+ years ago as Sten (“Stone”) Companion. Koi (jp:”Carp”) is understood as perhaps a reference to historic Japanese sushi origins. However carp is said to be treated like a ‘garbage food’ in America.
Tanker Ocean Koi has sailed as Jin Li since the end of November, 2025. The ship’s alleged owner may be headquartered in Shanghai, China.
As an aside, perhaps nautical types hereabouts can offer bait guidance? Carp fish are supposedly an effective hook, line, and sinker for catching sharks?
What happened to Trump’s Fort Knox gold audit?
Why does no one have the balls to call him out on all his bullshit?
I’m too busy today watching another, yet another record high in NAZcap index …….. and yes, it all dont matter

I ran the redneck prosperity model this morning! RPM!
It said, despite the BBL AOC pronouncements, I modeled 100 billion dollars into my bank account. It was so easy. Checked online bank and behold 100 billion! I though it was impossible according to the Genius Bartender, BBL, Wow this was really hard work I need a nap and a vacation. You always said write when we get rich G. Well drought is over here. Rain next 3 days. I guess the grass will sprout like weeds. Changing the drive belt and blade belt first. One is none, two is one and three is a good start.

For several decades, Japan has grappled with a declining population. The death rate is now 2x higher than the birth rate.
As the population has declined, it has also aged. Nearly 30% of Japan’s residents are 65+ years old. That’s roughly 3x the world average.
The median age in Japan is 49 years old — the second-highest in the world, trailing only Monaco. Many of these elderly citizens have left their homes empty and moved into care facilities or the homes of family members in large urban areas.
Subsequently 3.9m homes — are entirely abandoned., with tens of thousands of condo’s and apartments standing vacant with no one interested.
In the Wakayama Prefecture [ large mountainous region south of Tokyo] 21% of all home stand empty. [ Beautiful country side.]
You can buy a nice, 2bedroom in a quiet neighborhood, virtually no crime for under $20,000.., in many areas of the country. A couple areas will pay you to buy and move in.
It has been estimated that within 15 years the entire Japanese economy will simply collapse due to having no work-force or retail trade. They will simply grind to a stand-still.
I was a stock broker w/ Merrill Lynch PF & S in the late 70’s. Retired early and was trading for a living during the ’87 ‘crash’ (along with Bob Prechter and Bob Farrell as technicians at Merrill at the time). So I have REAL memories of those markets.
One laughable statistic, that I will never forget from those days and that your comment triggered… many here may not know. It’s also why I fear for my children/grand children because your comment describes their future here in the USA in about 30 years.
“Market Capitalization of the Nikkei 225
The market capitalization of the Nikkei 225 exceeded that of the US market in 1989. This occurred during the peak of the Japanese asset price bubble, a period characterized by rapidly rising asset prices in Japan.
Key Points
1989: The Nikkei 225 reached its highest market capitalization, surpassing that of the US market.
Post-1989: Since that time, the Nikkei 225 has not regained a market capitalization greater than that of the US market.
This historical peak marked a significant moment in financial history, reflecting the economic conditions of Japan at that time.”

Birds… bird is the word. Feed one cockatoo, get two, the five, then seven, now twelve sitting on the fence, waiting for the feed. Because they are so fun to watch and beautiful when they throw up that bright yellow flaring head comb, we’ll keep putting out real money for big bags of bird seed. I figure the Dude loves us for caring for his creations. Magpies, kookaburas, doves, plovers, parakeets, parrots, all abound in this quiet neighborhood. Some trees around must be home to literally thousands of trippy green and red parakeets that wake you with song and help the sun set every day.
Bird is the word.

OK, I finally admit I have a sleep apnea problem. Seeing the Doc next week to inform him of the evidence. The thought of trying to sleep with a mask and hose attached is abhorrent, but I gotta do something. Any suggestions as to type/brand, etc?
In Feb. my 80 year-old wife finally agreed to try using a CPAT, although she was sure that she wouldn’t be able to stand it. It has made a difference in her life & she loves it, even with the daily cleaning hassle.
Good luck on trying it Hank.
Hank: google “Top Maskless Sleep Apnea Treatment Options”
There are several different ideas given that you could talk to your doctor about what might work for your situation depending on the cause for your apnea.
Get into frequency healing. Specific hz promotes good sleep. We use this and it works for that and many more things. Amazing actually and super cheap.
Worth a try before you get hosed.

If you’re gonna visit the fam this fall:
https://adventknows.com/
I haven’t been to Advent, but I’m contemplating a visit.
My machine is a ResMed AirSense-11. I believe George’s and LOOB’s machines are, also. Generally speaking, your doctor (or the sleep disorder clinic he sends you to) will choose the device you’ll get. The way it works:
You whine to your GP or PCP
(S)He sends you to a sleep disorder clinic
The clinic tests you, generally with an overnight visit
The clinic then prescribes a CPAP unit, which will arrive in the mail in a few days (courtesy of your insurance), complete with mask, tubing, face-gasket, filters, and an instruction book which tells you how to set the machine up, who to call for replacement pieces, and cautions you to always use only distilled water in the humidifying reservoir. It took about two weeks for me to get used to the mask; two more weeks to feel uncomfortable without it. The secret is to route the tubing up. This way it’s in no one’s way, and you can toss & turn at will (or anybody else) without the CPAP cutting in on the dance…
George,
The president will totally own the Great Global Equity, Gold, and Crypto Crash. The primary cause of the Great Crash is the terminal 5 to 6-8 May 2026 exhaustion gap valuation blow-off for extremely over-valued US and ACWI composite equity assets – propelled by last gasp expansion of ongoing (and defaulting and reordering) US and Chinese bad private and corporate debt. The true bad-private-corporate-debt and peak-valuation cause will be supplanted by the obvious gasoline and tariff inflation stress rationale and the post hoc ergo propter hoc logic of causation that the initiation of presidential tariff and war policies have temporally directly correlated to the 18 Feb to 7 April 2025 5/12/13/8 day :: y/2-2.5y/2.5xy/1.6y peak to nadir fractal decay series (illegal tariff chaos initiation day) and the 25 Feb 2026 to 30 Mar 2026 5/13/8 day : y/2.5y/1.6y peak to nadir fractal decay series(United Nation’s illegal Iran War chaos initiation day). This weekend ‘something’ will happen in the gulf to ‘trigger’ the naturally occurring commencement of 2nd Fractal elevation of oil prices and the concurrent beginning of the Great Crash whose initial collapse nadir will end 24 June 2026.
Wow double WOW
I hope the hell you are dead wrong on this, but don’t stop posting due to reader Hopium withdrawal issues. Apparently I haven’t gone completely cold turkey, though my habit is now down to a fraction of Ure readership norm.
Typically timing is the b!tch with Elliott wave analysis. That is due to something other than logic and math governing Elliott inflection points, like social mood maybe. But once the Elliott knee jerks start dropping in earnest, then the Elliott wave forms start looking a lot more like the text books, and the AI and regulatory smart b@stard manipulations take the back seat to both institutionalized and flesh and blood emotional manias and panics. Not looking forward to that kind of action resuming on the downside, particularly with drought and credit deflation now on the menu. Jamie Dimon has made this sort of call for end of credit cycle with higher than anticipated severity level, and I have to take that seriously as well.
I’m unsure what a safe hedge would be at this point, other than concentrating on staying out of debt, and maintaining the pantry.
Don’t forget government cake rations in the pantry, so that we might all eat patriotic cake. Red, white and mostly blues to you. And remember, it always looks darkest right before it goes completely black.
Happy Mom’s day to the Mom types.
