Icarus Markets? All Greeks to Me

Something’s Off in the Markets… and It’s Not in the Headlines

Other than the Strait of Hormuz drama flaring again, markets are acting like nothing’s wrong.

That alone should get your attention.

In today’s Peoplenomics, we dig into a setup where price action and underlying risk are no longer telling the same story. The charts are stretched, the models are being trusted a little too much, and the timing windows we watch are starting to bunch up.

Could everything resolve cleanly? Sure.

But betting on everything going right at once has never been a high-percentage play.

So the real question isn’t “what’s happening?”

It’s: What breaks first?

    • Careful—Daedalus is the guy who built the wings, not the kid who tested the melt point. In the old Greek story, he warned Icarus: don’t fly too low (the sea will drag you down) and don’t fly too high (the sun will take you out). It’s really a story about limits—of materials, of judgment, and of thinking you’ve outsmarted physics.

Translate that to markets and modern life: the “wings” today are models, leverage, and narratives. They work—right up until they don’t. Fly too low and you miss opportunity; fly too high on borrowed confidence and you discover where the glue softens. The trick isn’t avoiding flight—it’s knowing your envelope.

So if I’m Daedalus, take the memo: build carefully, test constantly, and leave room for reality to disagree. The goal isn’t to soar forever. It’s to land with your feathers still attached.

  1. Dude G Pops,

Put those ears on and pay attention, we be talking National Security. In other words some important scheisse Kemmosabe, important scheisse.

Due the large percentage of US citizens have their savings& investments tied up in stock market. If youse aint saving and investing throughout Ure Life, even tiny amounts, you will know hard times . So 401k’s, IRA ect make up a very large percentage of America’s financial backbone. Stock market performance has BECOME a matter of National Security.

Contrary to the fossilized view of northern Zionists, “they” (Zurich Nomes) do in fact paint the tape, as does the Plunge Protection Team. In fact have seen “them” name the Number, 666, and close it on that number. Like the Weather in North America, it is under outside control.

zero Trust – those that defend the SLAVERS and their methods, as misery loves company.

    All FAKE, ALL the Time.

    • it’s not internet hyperbole if true (sorta) :

“… The Plunge Protection Team is a nickname given to the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets. It came into existence to make economic and financial recommendations on the economy when there are periods of economic chaos. On the team are the heads of the most critical U.S. financial regulatory organizations. This includes the Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, the SEC Securities Exchange Commission Chairman, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, and the Chairman of the CFTC Commodity Futures Trading Commission. …”

      https://www.financial-dictionary.info/terms/plunge-protection-team-ppt/

Can this powerful group dictate outcomes of the market? A : no.
Can they influence outcomes of the market? A : yes.

      There is a difference.

  2. (“Given his run-in with the Pope, we thought this was an interesting move by “the Savior” to pull: President Donald Trump to Read Scripture During America Reads the Bible; Issues Historic Message About the Bible’s “Enduring Guidance”. We still keep ViseGrips in the top desk drawer for this kind of occasion.”)

    hmm interesting..
“I sit as queen… I will never mourn.”
    (Revelation 18:7)
This represents a society that believes it is untouchable.
    Prophets condemned Babylon for:
    crushing the poor
    enslaving nations
building wealth through oppression….Isaiah and Jeremiah both warn that such systems collapse from within.
    Idolatry and false security
    Babylon business model trusted…
wealth and power that becomes detached from responsibility, it becomes oppressive. When power stops serving people, it begins consuming them. When leaders forget humility, societies drift toward injustice.
military power ,sorcery the rep fear of technology
its own brilliance…The message is that a society built on illusion eventually falls.
In the Holy Quran..through the story of Harut and Marut (Surah 2:102).
    Misusing knowledge for harm
The story warns against…manipulation, deception, using the knowledge they have learned to control others…
The Qur’an repeatedly warns that…arrogance..( humble oneself) corruption, injustice to others, oppression of others,…are the traits that bring down nations….
The Qur’an also teaches that God does not destroy a people unless they become unjust, exploit the weak that walk among us, turn truth into an illusion…All of this mirrors the biblical Babylon theme and business model that many civilizations use and maintain…Even though the texts differ, the core warning is the same the religious texts of all the prophets portrait the same general teachings..They all represents that pride that blinds, theres wealth without compassion, power without ethics and morality, where systems built on exploitation and illusions of their invincibility and forgetting the sacred responsibility to care for others in their flocks..( the tax payers and citizens in their care) that the consequences of their misuse of authority is also the same reasons why societies and civilizations that follows this path eventually collapses under its own corruption.
In my simple way of thought is why the “Babylon” metaphor of the bible and teachings across many thousands of years resonates so strongly in these times of instability that we are facing…It’s really not about predicting doom and gloom— it’s about recognizing that the moral and structural weaknesses that are appearing now when our society has drifted off the course that our forefathers projected for our country… what was it Thomas Jefferson warned us in his letters and writings, From what i remember Jefferson repeatedly emphasized three dangers….1.When leaders stop serving the people, corruption becomes inevitable…2.Jefferson warned that when a small group controls most of the wealth, they eventually control the government too…Concentrated wealth leads to concentrated political power…3.government that burdens the people becomes a form of tyranny…He was deeply concerned about..heavy taxation, debt of a nation, when financial systems that trap ordinary people and leaders who enrich themselves at the public’s expense..
that when this happens then government becomes oppressive, it stops being legitimate….
of course these personal beliefs is why my loving wife and family restrains me from sharing my thoughts and opinions.. I am not allowed express or debate others on my views….they are way out of line ..

  3. Backdrop to above, before 1990 cold war preparations. Post 1990 cheap labour in china russia democracy. Free flow goods. Post 2014 Crymea issues and new belligerence in former peaceful Russia china iran. Now open conflicts euro block and russia Open confrontation asia Markets resources sources gone. War generally in old days meant 25% downward correction of stocks. Now hot foreign money flies to usa to correct correction so no correction.

  4. Where are we going now? Euro war with Russia on hold due resource conflict usa and iran. Same with asia. Local conflicts on hold.

  5. Greek to me.

Stiks : The Phoenicians expressed the belief that time spent at sea was not counted against your allotted lifespan.

Can we get an Amen? Yep. Thanks for reminding of this tome Sir. We changed course a hair to think one got younger.

    Greek to me.

Charts and such show travel of what was. Looking at what’s been can provide guidance on what’s next. Or not.

    Greek to me.

Fundamentally you see the froth rise from many who thought the ME could rise as a result of an expedition. WTI bettors made bank.

Gandalf: “Breathe the free air again, my friend.”
Théoden: “Dark have been my dreams of late.”
Gandalf: “Your fingers would remember their old strength better — if they grasped your sword.”

He did. We did. Masterful work all round by every faction of the US Military. Biggest FAFO of a long lifetime. Well done. Come home victorious.

That’s my read though Greek to me.

    Got wood ~ got water?
    Egor ~ __|_ ~~

    • Yes Sir, Chop wood and carry water. last night i was sitting in the lounge waiting for my laundry to get done. i change my T-shirt 2 to 3 times a day because work in the engine room is alot like doing Hot Yoga for 10 hours straight. its 92 to 94 degrees in there, 100% Humidity. and you are working. you arent just standing there.

if you would have told me 10 years ago, id be sitting in lounge on a research ship in Suva Fiji watching the final season of Stranger Things with a former astronaut and an electrical enginer from the JASON group, id have said you are crazy. but that is who i was hanging out in the lounge with. i asked them point blank, you are the Jasons? High Government guys. they said Yes sir, same group. i said Cool. they said most people never heard of us. i said. i have. they said what do you do? i said im the grunt in the engine room. haha. i told them im a God guy. i call God THE DUDE. They both smiled and said THE DUUUUUDE
I like that. i said It works really well for me.

im settleing in. im kinda famouse on the ship now. there was a stuck valve and so i said let me give it a try. i put the T Wrench in there. The T wrench is tempered steal, they heated it up and quenched it in oil. 1 inch thick solid bar steal. i grabbed ahold of it and turned it almost all the way open until i broke the handle off it.

the chief said in 30 years i have never someone break the handle on one of those T Wrenches. that is forged solid steal. we tempered it and quenched it in oil. you are a stong man. i said sorry about your T wrench but the valve is open now. hahahaa. after that everyone kept coming up to me and saying, you the guy who broke the handle off the T wrench? i said yes, that is me. they said damn. Hercules! Hercules!

      hahahaa

we leave port at 11am. all is well. im excited to get to sea.

well i start shift in an hour. best go get ready.

      yes sir,

      chop wood and carry water!

      I Win with God within!

  6. – Thanks for all the charts – there were a couple that were very close to “Holy Crap, Batman !”

As of Friday’s close, every one of my charts are making a very strong case for “sell everything!”. It simply ‘looks’ scary as hell. [ I have only eight charts that I work with on a semi-daily basis. Four are very similar to yours – and I have a tendency to use the 21DMA more than the 35DMA. And I went short when the 21DMA went below the 200DMA over a week ago.]
    – You have to know that the analysts and bean counters-union are seeing this also., yet there is not one voice whispering from the wilderness. And that bothers me., a lot.
    – It is extremely irrational…, but – “The markets can remain irrational a lot longer than you can remain solvent.” [ ., or something like that.]

I did read an article last week where an analyst was trying to show that the bond market is on the verge of collapse. The guy was coasting along great., made a lot of sense., then he would fall off his skateboard and go off on a triad., blaming everybody., screaming and yelling.., the start-up again showing where the dam is about to burst.., then bamm! Another three paragraphs of blame and hate.
I couldn’t finish the article. He may be right, though. Something to check-out.

I do not know what the markets are going to do. No one does. I can only say what I see., and what I have done [ trading wise.] And I am not going to tell you what I am planning to do – as I do not like giving financial advice., as someone will take it as that.
I have already stated that I am in a trade with long expiration options. That bet still stands., but they are getting pretty beat-up. By this time next Friday we will see if I was right – or that I made my first bad trade of the year.

  7. re: Daedalian Birds of a Feather?
    feat: from Poleis to Poland

What’s up in the acropolis today? Move over DJ Yella and Ice Cube as DJ Scratch rules the turntable in the latest music video release from Iranian Records “Straight Out of Iran”. A lego caricature of #47 in controlled dove wing flight descends upon peace talks.

Meanwhile the Zero Network in Poland took opportunity to interview their nation’s president on episode #180 of the “Zero Hour” yesterday. The program offers a cautionary advice that its content is formulated for viewers aged 16 years and older. At the 1h01m42s mark early in a citizen call-in segment, the president appears to drop something on the studio floor. However, a program host successfully retrieves an item as seen at the 1h02m37s mark in the following Youtube link:

  8. 10:30 – 04/18

The Straits of Hormuz are once again closed. Iran cleared one tanker to enter, then fired upon it. Voice traffic was monitored and the tanker stated it was turning around. Iran also fired at two other tankers, hitting one. The one they hit was an Indian tanker – loaded with Iraqi oil.

Iran blames the U.S. for their actions, stating the blockade for their response.

The new developments come just hours after President Trump said he expected a deal with Iran “in a day or two.”

Trump’s response will be very telling.., and could feasibly set-up the news cycle for all of next week., and thus the market movements as well.

    • Gasoline was down local about $.35 / gallon this morning from earlier this week. If you are rotating fuel, maybe you want to top off cans this weekend.
I haven’t decided to expand the total amount of gasoline I am rotating, but I have about maybe 35 gallons of additional spare unused can capacity I am not using. I try to keep enough gasoline for a 200 mile excursion without resupply.
I have enough diesel to make it to next winter, unless I ramp gardening up to subsistence level.
I also have a enough aluminized Mylar bag, oxygen absorbers and empty pails to scale up stock very quickly by dry canning locally procured 25 and 50 lb bags of dehydrated staples.
These are all contingency supplies, for the moment. I’m not really into hoarding barrels of staple supplies, but circumstances can change quickly.

Andy is supposed to sail midday according to his post. I wish him a safe cruise. The same goes for us all.

    • Oh, and I also went and got a fresh short haircut. Soap, antiseptics and personal hygeine supplies are topped off for a three month or so run.

    • imo, mine only … Trump was just playing for time until they could reload the rocket launchers, rocket tubes, and move more military equipment into the area of the theater including the USS Bush (which should arrive April 24-26)

There NEVER was an intention by Trump to do anything but to drag out the talks long enough so as to reload the spear for attacking Iran and reload the defensive weapons so they were ready for the next missile and drone assault.

Although I have liked many of his policies Trump LIES all the time, you can never take anything he says as being a 100% truthful statement. He is like a gang leader who is always manipulating stuff behind the scenes that often is a 100% reverse of what he is saying or portraying publicly. Unfortunately over my years in the business world I have had to deal with too many “reputable” business people who are exactly like him wrt being total two faced when it comes to their dealings.

In my work I would just shake my head when I had to deal with such types, always be gracious to them on the surface, but always be aware of what was going on under the surface. (over time I managed to convince a few to actually – eventually – be honest with me in their dealing with me or to stop dealing with me entirely and let one of their underlings actually give me an honest deal – several of those on the other side of those dealings eventually ended up in the Federal Slammer while others got barred from National Organizations that they were members of)

I really, as in REALLY, hate liars. I have no problem with people who are hard bargainers, that is their job, but ACTIVE LYING to me is a total NO NO. Trump is a LIAR. Dealt with enough big time real estate developers over the years that I have seen that dynamic up close and personal (I am not saying all big time developers are like that, even most, … but some THRIVE on being that way).

Mark my words …. Trump NEVER intended for the War to be settled. He just needed time to “reload” for the next and much more violent phase since his “decapitation” strategy totally failed (as any thinking person on the outside who knew any history of Warfare could have told him before he even started HIS War)

(for those who haven’t notice my previous postings over the last few years I currently have one son who is currently serving … though obviously at my age I am NOT …. so I am NOT being anti US or anti the Military in saying what I said above)

    • I have been searching for any other information other than that one video..

      https://youtu.be/63zViCwFZns?si=UVuT3DC8KMrpJJI5

so far nothing on the threat map the carrier group doesn’t even show up which has me questioning if it isn’t just an Air generated news post..
I will know more on the other this week..about the potential emo threat..that story is in the times as a potential threat not an actual threat..

    • We’re at war with Chile?

The Nimitz just put out from Santiago and is probably still in Chilean waters.

I suggest you check your sources…

      • I did.. it was Ai.. now for Chili.. for heavens sake don’t give anyone in government any suggestions..lol lol..
its so hard to tell what’s real and what’s propaganda.. from either side..
I asked someone I know that would have a good idea what was happening and he said feelings are high but so far nothing.. this week I have an appointment and her husband would definitely know what’s happening..
either way none of us would have any influence on what the people in power do..we are all just tag alongside for the roller coaster ..
either way we have lost this.. economically …( here we come Weimar )militarily.. (the poison pawn trap or the Rope a dope Ali move..) we can’t be everywhere at the same time..and at what a billion a day..get us to use our strategic military reserves .. the saying ..Go pound sand !!

comes to mind..Iran is a huge country..temperatures that our troops are not accustomed to..When a sibling was in iraq.. I tried my best to send him a twelve pack of brew with the self cooling can..lol unfortunately I am a us citizen and I could t buy them.. I did read that 7-11 is now selling them.. so who knows maybe in the future..I have a rapid drink chiller..( really cool )

    • I guess that’s all the information your gonna give us ? Where did your information come from? Or are you one of the oracles that that is privileged to the elastic records?

    • If this were true, I suspect it would have surfaced on at least one reliable news source. As yet I’ve not found a word about it.

    • That was a flaw discovered during a 2005 Military Strategy Game (ship was not actually sunk, but revealed a serious problem with thinking that Bigger is Better, still couldn’t detect a small attack sub):

      https://nationalsecurityjournal.org/6-billion-nuclear-nimitz-class-aircraft-carrier-was-sunk-by-100-million-diesel-aip-submarine/
‘The giant was brought down by a lone assassin: a tiny, diesel-electric submarine from Sweden, the HSwMS Gotland. This small hunter, built for a cost of around $100 million, slipped through the most sophisticated anti-submarine defenses on the planet, lined up the carrier in its periscope, and simulated firing torpedo after torpedo into its hull.’

And it did this repeatedly, without ever being detected.

  9. What is that telling the world about our military superiority..

    https://youtu.be/63zViCwFZns?si=VeCX4PzIhInbf9sL

enough to make a person a tad bit concerned.. six thousand men just in that one vessel..haven’t heard if any of the others in the group were sunk..not good not good at all..hopefully they won’t hit the panic button and launch..I have a appointment this week the husband of the nurse is in a division that would have some information on that..

    • There’s a disclaimer at the end. “hypothetical.” Nimmitz was decommissioned. That there’s an AI McGregor.

      • Actually, not yet. Its commission was extended until 2027. AFAIK though, its “commission” is basically to allow it to sail into Nofuck whilst still flying colors. It is making diplomatic stops while it rounds the horn. A 51yo tin can is not exempt from battle, but it would be the very last ship sent to war, and sunk, would not be a trophy about which to brag…

      • A lot..its so hard to tell what’s real and what’s fake anymore..from either perspective point..

        • When I said that by 2026, you would not be able to believe anything you saw, unless you saw it live and in-person, I wasn’t kidding.

People lie. They do it intentionally. Some of George’s guests do it, as well. Now these morally-weak, self-important or narcissistic people have a tool which lets them lie to your eyes. Do you honestly believe they wouldn’t use this tool…?

    • This video is obviously AI generated, so is the information correct? I haven’t seen anything about this incident elsewhere.

    • looks like an AI mash-up loob – unnatural blink rhythm, mistimed pauses and unnatural cadence. the guy is real but this video is not
the internet is awash with this AI crap
it’s getting harder to tell the difference……….

    • The USS Nimitz has NOT been sunk. Forget the internet trolls who are looking for eyeballs so they can make money.

The USS Nimitz is in the process of repositioning from Bremerton Washington to Norfolk. It left Bremerton in March and current reports (April 17) have it in the Eastern Pacific off the California coast.

As the oldest US carrier it was to be retired this year but they have given it a short reprive on it’s retirment from early 2026 to early 2027, though it is doubtful that once it reaches Norfolk that it will ever sail again on a deployment mission.

The delay in retirement was so that they could hopefully finish the fitting out of the NEW USS Kennedy (Ford Class) and make it ready for it’s first deployment while maintaining the Nimitz as an operating “reserve carrier” until that was done.

  10. Hi George, this is kinda off topic-but thanks to one of your readers mentioning a book titled ‘Long Voyage Back’ by Luke Rhinehart, I found a used copy and read it. I wish there was a sequel. The author had elements in the book worth noting on various aspects of surviving.

I am looking forward in reading Roger Cunningham’s book ‘Inversion.’ This guy, if I remember correctly, has had 40 some years as a navigator. Here’s a recent interview with Roger. https://www.youtube.com/live/gQibeCdje1A?si=sRYCyGI1s-UN-PKq

Thank you George, I don’t think you realize how much help you have been to the folks following you (and others).

  11. (“The international community and Western defense agencies are expressing extreme concern over new information about Moscow’s space program. According to a report in the influential British newspaper The Times, Russia is developing plans to deploy a specialized nuclear device in low-Earth orbit. Experts estimate that detonating such a device in space could have catastrophic consequences for the global technological infrastructure. The powerful electromagnetic pulse and radiation impact could instantly disable up to 80% of all existing satellites in various orbits. This threatens not only military systems but also the civilian sector, effectively returning humanity to the pre-digital era.”)

hmm if this happens then .. I bet the usa would be wishing they had built the solar towers and handed out grid tie systems to every homeowner…. at least then there would have been a potential of having some infrastructure..

    30-30-30-300..
    https://chatgpt.com/s/m_69e3cc6b5cdc81919fd298b64f1b1705

a solar lighthouse..with a tower every ten miles..just saying..its been my dream..my harp for o er fifty years..the head of the power company goes out of his way to avoid me at district meetings because he knows I’m going to bring it up.. the head preceding him did the same thing..

    • “Solar” anything would be instantly fried by an EMP attack. Solar cells are semiconductors. Solar panels are arrays of solar cells. Semiconductors don’t survive electromagnetic pulses outside a Faraday cage unless they’re prepped to do so. Prepping takes time and costs money, so only an individual (like George) would do it.

      • High-Altitude EMP’s (HEMP) are very fast, but relatively low energy events compared to a lightening EMP. It is the fast rise times which get you with the HEMP, not the power level.

I would defer to Arthur Bradley on the solar cell issue:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL1MLwrmT8c

It is possible to mitigate the system risk. There are other strategies, but Arthur has access to state-of-the-art test equipment, so I tend to pay more attention to him than others.

      • Depending On here you are in relationship to the burst similar to a radioactive emission…EMP effects aren’t all or nothing….they depend heavily on distance, altitude, wiring length, and system design.
Solar panels themselves are mostly glass and silicon, and many would survive unless they’re directly exposed through long connected wiring. The real vulnerability is the centralized grid, not the panels. A large grid collapse creates a domino effect because long transmission lines act like antennas.
That’s exactly why I believe distributed solar is valuable.
Each solar tower acts like a mini grid activating the nodes or home units..
Each household solar array with batteries or without becomes a small, independent power node, reducing strain on the larger system.
In a grid?down scenario, microgrids and home solar setups actually increase resilience instead of disappearing or putting undo stress on the whole system…

The Texas ice storm was a perfect example of how fragile a fully centralized grid really is.
The outage didn’t just affect the cities where the freeze hit hardest — the strain rippled outward like a domino effect all the way here in the wastelands…where those of us far from the epicenter felt the stress on our own systems because everything is tied into one giant, interdependent network. When one section collapses, the load shifts and threatens to pull the rest down with it.

That’s why i believe distributed power matters.
Solar towers, solar home system nodes some with batteries, and some without would work as micro?nodes turning each home or tower into a mini?grid, reducing the overall strain instead of adding to it. Decentralized energy isn’t just about convenience — it’s about resilience and national security…
Where countries like China recognized this vulnerability early and started building redundancy into their infrastructure .. not just more power plants, but distributed solar nodes, backup factories, and even entire unused ghost cities. The idea isn’t that everything runs all the time, but that if a major collapse happens, the ability to bounce back isn’t as dramatic or chaotic. Decentralized energy and distributed infrastructure act like shock absorbers, preventing the domino effect we saw during the Texas freeze….the old saying..dont put all your eggs in one basket comes to mind..

as for the cost..this system would be more than enough for the average household…and it has battery backup..

        https://www.santansolar.com/product/eg4-6000xp-5kw-solar-w-eg4-ll-s-10-24kw-battery-kit/?_gl=1*161m3jp*_up*MQ..*_gs*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-pHPBhCdARIsAHXYWP9HtU3bmCBkKgWcPA7bpA7jKI9YLbTaT3deOlUJ04_NS4I4SgVtY6QaAmDgEALw_wcB&gbraid=0AAAAA-0zIoQnU6heQzLUvC4Gm-Gm_vSS5

And of course depending on your usage..you can go up or down from there..
        https://www.amazon.com/1800W-Home-Grid-Solar-System/dp/B09GXPYVHP/ref=sr_1_11?

as a node it added with thousands of others makes up a pretty powerful system..for us..there’s a great deal of times we are only using five hundred watts..taking off the vampire power draining appliances..

then again I don’t have much of an education..just a little reading and thinking..what if.. right now it wouldn’t take much to take down our countries grid..resulting in the death of millions..
the shutdown of just about everything..of course that’s why most of our targets are power production plants..take the ability to use full systems..

        • Dam I hate auto correct.. every time I put a little line without putting a space between the word and the line..auto correct puts a goal darn question mark…grrr

      • I’ve always said..one can..if you use three cans a week buy four..then after three cans buy four more..people look at the whole not the one.. a friend was building a garage..he seen the pile of lumber and the size of the garage..
he wasn’t getting anything done..I kept telling him..he board..put one board a day..he just couldn’t fathom the idea..
I i.provided a framing table which made it easier.. anyway I was in a wheelchair..I asked him to show me his project..he dragged my fat ass out.. wow..that’s huge.. hey grab that board..by the time he hauled me back home his garage was framed..its one board..
the same with prepping..forget the end goal..focus on the individual..the same with solar towers and home systems as nodes..
start at the furthest point from the main power plant put up one tower or two and hand out the systems to the home owners within the area of tge tower..willing to install them..before you know it..the system is up..we had one region of the wastelands where ice and violent winter storms took down everything..it took over a year to get power back to them..the domino.

      • (“Prepping takes time and costs money, so only an individual (like George) would do it.”)

phew prepping is a state of mind creative use of resources..the marine motto…”Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome”…. if.. I can do it..anyone can do it..when we put up our first Kilowatt of solar..we did it as a symbol for what we believe in..the other thing I put in was the hot water heaters they use on skylab..omg… the power those draw lol..for one KW of solar years ago it cost us a lot..as much as it did to build the house..
what got us to jump in was something my brother said.. my mother was the last in our home whose roots trailed back to before the revolution and for.action of our country..when my grandmother passed on there were so many in uniforms that it was shocking..from the masons to the whitehouse..anyway.. my brother looking at what was left of her life..was” isn’t it sad that at the end of your life all that you have left is a couple of boxes of crap..a few photos and the memory of what you stood for”
who was I..I worked an average of a hundred hours a week..( still believe I seen myself coming as I was going lol lol) solar was my main harp..my jobs were all low waged because I never had a degree to show..so I never amounted to much..if I was to have something I had to know how to make it..just to maintain a quality of life..
prepping..well I did that out of learning from my past life experiences..but I did it slowly.. after a month you end up with a week at just a few dollars more..like today..we needed potatoes.. now they had two ten pound bags for their special of three dollars..or buy one bag for 4:99.. I bout twenty pounds rather than ten..what ill do is dry ten pounds..boil potatoes for ten minutes..not long enough to soften them but last my enough to keep them from turning bad..
The lady in this video does it different Han I do..
        https://youtu.be/PpGAddrbT6A?si=0Zatt6qWtveRueIv
This lady does it like I do…now I leave the skins on..except for the ones I make potato skin chips..

        my wife likes peeled potatoes..
Now I use one of these..
        https://youtu.be/lMXYwu24zL8?si=7Nn2P64eLKioLkKy
its by far one of the hand next kitchen gadgets..if your using one of the four sided shredders..like this one..
        https://www.amazon.com/Urbanstrive-Container-Professional-Stainless-Vegetables/dp/B0CLB61K3H/ref=sr_1_25?
most people use it wrong..they stand it upright.. the cup for the bottom is put in..unless you don’t have the cup..then you lay it horizontal slice then stand it upright and fill the cup..
you can dehydrate in the oven with the door cracked.. before I could get a dehydrator.. I used a window screen outside in the sun…
        https://youtu.be/Z0f0jew8Whw?si=JAyTwRzNYoge4WT9
his is way bigger than the one I made..works great..and except for a few pennies of nails it didn’t cost me a thing..
then vacuum seal them or put in jars..thirty pounds of potatoes will dehydrate around ten pounds..in the seventies lays potato chip company.made chips here the small potatoes were tossed out after washing and sorting..they would post free potatoes and I’d scoop I up fifty pounds of them then process them..

chips..the kids use to love making potato chips..

  12. “What breaks first?”
Me. I’m broke. And I don’t trade or it would be worse.

What is NOT broke is my titanium hip transplant. 1 year anniversary visit with my ortho surgeon shows bone growth at the implants and all is well. Works like brand new.
