Dismiss Any Election Concerns

The die is already cast – the insanity of insecure elections is with us again – and at least half the voters are going to be disappointed in 10-days. So a November full of internal conflict (and maybe scattered violence) is a high possibility.  People who have become addicted to partisanship will have a hard time getting back to being “All Americans Again.”

For today, two items have the left reeling a bit: Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff slapped me in the face so hard I spun around … I’m disgusted by his fake ‘perfect spouse’ persona. And the biggie? Harris will not appear on Joe Rogan podcast, her campaign says,

Our apolitical view is that Harris peaked  10-days too early.

For now, the left is worried that Elon Musk is getting America refocused on our core issues.  America on X: “Andy from Holly Springs, NC received $1M for signing our petition to support the Constitution, which just surpassed 1 MILLION Signatures Every day until Election Day, a person who signs will be selected to earn $1M as a spokesperson for America PAC SIGN: The Department of Just-Us is threatening.$1M voter sweepstakes may violate federal law, US Justice Department warns Elon Musk.

But, just in case Musk is not intimidated by politicians (who conveniently lost the Hunter laptop for how long?) the second wave attack has already begun: With a Wall Street Journal-based report: Elon Musk Held Secret Talks With Putin Amid Shifting Views on Ukraine – WSJ – The Moscow Times.

I haven’t had to “cover an election” since 1983 but the way the “handlers” play last minute attack stories is with a simple quadrature approach.

  • Good thing (for the Candidate)
  • Bad thing (for the Opposition)  Which it mirrored across the aisle…
  • Good thing (for the Opposition)
  • Bad thing  (for the Candidate)

Seldom do you see such a simple “plug n play” example as the Musk-Taiwan story, but here’s how it “plugs in” to the analytical framework. We will view from the Candidate (Harris) side – the Candidate (Trump) side will be in opposition, right?

  • Musk-Taiwan-Putin is Good for Harris (cleaves Ukraine support on the right)
  • Musk-Taiwan-Putin is Bad for Trump (Makes Musk look ultra-political)
  • Musk-Taiwan-Putin is Good for Trump (Musk  remains wildly admired by key younger target demographics with good reason)
  • Musk-Taiwan-Putin is Bad for Trump (Raises questions about authenticity of Trump support for Taiwan and informs China)

We won’t suffer you with a quad chart and assign the numbers breakdown of how key persuasion blocks will roll with this story, but it’s what goes on behind the closed doors of last-minute campaigns.

Carried in extremis, we can predict (with low confidence) that Musk will draw additional lightning bolts from the Harris camp with his working to dethrone the iconic pro-Trump “Positive voter identification with Musk” on the one hand while the Harris camp is also rolling “Negative candidate identification” through the series of Trump-Putin stories which have arisen (or been planted) with purpose for this closing mud wrestle touted in liberal media reports like Trump accused of groping by former model Stacey Williams – The Washington Post.

As we mentioned earlier this week, we are really dialing it back in terms of what is a “real” election story in the run in to the vote. Because if you have made up your mind, it’s not too early (in our view) to take off the partisan robes and get back to “chop wood, carry water” because regardless of what comes next, life on this Planet of the Apes will crawl along into 2025.

If there are any survivors, of course.

Musk, meanwhile, seems to be good for a few more “sign the petition” payouts as Elon Musk $21 billion richer in one day as Tesla stock gains 19%.

One reason for all the gains?  “Tesla plans to make an inexpensive robotaxi and an entry-level, $25,000 electric car based on the same vehicle architecture, according to Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk released in September, which includes interviews with the CEO and executives.”  But color us skeptical (but interested) depending on range.  We can keep the old Lexus for a backup ICE hooptie and…well, let’s just see.

Open Borders Failing – Canada

Seeing the pattern here?  As Canada wakes up (and this will be a major political failure for the True Dope in coming elections) we also see that “white shamed” countries in Europe are sobering up, as well. Sweden is now offering big money to make immigrants leave: here’s how much and why.

Now stir in the meaning of the story a couple of weeks back Top Oregon official put on leave for allegedly prioritizing ‘qualified’ job candidates over ‘gender identity’ and yes, brothers and sisters, the world is changing right out there in front of our eyes.  ‘Mazing. Oregon is still nuts, but give them a decade or so.

Decapitation Weekend?

While we would not be surprised to see the market run up early today, holding those gains into the close with a Nail Biting Weekend at hand could be more challenging. Especially with stories about like The order was issued: Prepare for war – B92.

The big question is “How Large a Stick?”  In other words, Israel would like to convey a lot of pay-back.  But, the Biden posse is trying to keep “oil on the waters” at least till after the election.  More clearly, in Ayatollah Khamenei has asked Iranian military to prepare for war against Israel but only under this condition- we read the “deal points” this way: “Iran will retaliate if Israel strikes its oil and energy infrastructure or nuclear facilities or if it assassinates senior officials.”

Well, you can see the reason for our nail-biting, I’m sure.  Israel doesn’t have a lot of targets left that would convey Big Message to the theocracy if your take oil, energy, and nuke sites off the table.  Which means?  Well, then Israel can expect inbound from Tehran as payback.

And then?  Well, that’s when we start to worry about decapitation strike which would sure qualify as an Israeli mistake” that has been “seen” linguistically and in remote view circles for a long time. G.A. Stewart’s discussion this week of the “Gog and Magog” of it all is also useful framing.

The problem that IF (and here’s the nail chewing)…

  • IF Israel doesn’t take oil, energy, and nukes off the table
  • THEN Israel will suffer a dangerously large retaliation…
  • SO If retaliation is coming anyway, why not go with a decapitation strike from the get-go?

Pragmatism is a bitch. Wonder how long-time street fighters would call this one?  (Feel free to post comment on the mechanics of the psychological decision-making processes…)

At the Ranch: Learning Mode Weekend

With the new (small, replacement) deck and appearance items around the front of the house done this week, I can get going on finishing the hydroponics planting today.  Most of the weekend, though, will be devoted to Brain Feeding.

To begin with is a fresh (no distractions, markets close, phone ringer off) read of Forbidden Cosmology: Uncovering the Ultimate Connection (Complete Cosmic Energy Exchange Concept, CCEEC). By G.W. Franke (a Peoplenomics reader, BTW – smart people do read this site). What makes the book so interesting is that is comes at a time when science – especially the String Theory Choir, has run out of excuses.  Franke’s book is a dandy rethink – from the Bang forward – of how we don’t think things that logically follow.

In case you hadn’t noticed (idiotic election, wars at hand, madeup diseases and dictatorial schemers aside) the world is about to cast of the chains of wrong-headedness.  Elaine and I did some “study” for Franke in a single sitting by watching the Eric Weinstein interview on Modern Wisdom:

The world is getting close to a major change-point and when it shows up – when coupled with all the things we presently know (and unlike stringy hink) are demonstrably true, then we are on the doorstep of massive change.

Even reading Franke’s book as far as I have, five stars, worth reading, and definitely of interest if you like messing about with time machines, portal, accoustical reality tunneling, and other arcane arts when you’re not day trading.

    Today CBS reports over 28,000,000 ballots have already been cast (and still more are in the mail). For those 28M the election is history and the Harris/Trump peaks, for them happened somewhere back there.

    Using fast and loose numbers 155M voted in 2020 making 2024’s 28M almost 20% of the vote. Of course we in the cheap seats don’t know who the 28M voted for but today’s peak is happening for in-person voting still 10 days away. If the previous peak was 10 days ago the sine wave would mean the next peak happens in 10 days.

    There was a report back there describing statistics and sample size. If we knew which candidate is winning within the 28M pool we could guess if the war will be before or after the election. Theoretically a war would help the sitting party, Kam’s House meaning if she’s losing within the 28M expect war before the election. This would also complete the 10 day + 10 day sine wave. I don’t know how to pick peaks. :(

  5. I currently have two Conex boxes that I use for storage. They are partially buried, with soil and rocks to the top on the sides and back end. Only the top and doors are exposed.

    Those things get HOT, HOT, HOT in the Summer, and in the Winter, try -20 degrees F or more at times. I hope to get some kind of insulated roof put over them at some point.

    People who think they can grow gardens in those things must live in VERY MILD climates or something.

    They get so hot in the Summer that I can’t imagine what kind of air conditioning it would take to cool them to a reasonable range for plants. Maybe filtered air transfer? Then that 90 degree air from the outside would still need to be cooled.

    I just can’t see anything other than underground in a harsh climate like we have in the inner PNW. And, yeah 2,900 feet above sea level.

    • well…it gets a tad bit cooler here in the wastelands…
      my grand daughter gets her plants from a greenhouse that has buried ducting…it works on a thermal envelope model and keeps the temperature stable year round.
      I just was asked by my grandson inlaw about a solar heating panel..I shared with him the same thing I shared at DOE community development programs the beginning of the 80s..I gave a short class on constructing them.. you can easily produce steam..unfortunately you live in rain country you would probably do better getting a hot water vacuum tube system..it doesn’t take much to get that setup then store the energy I would suggest glaubers salt..

    • I was in Logansport a few years ago. IIRC their HS nickname is the “Loganberry” and their mascot is Felix, the Cat. Their school and gym were not very old (thus giving me the impression the city is somewhat prosperous.) It is ALSO a CITY, not a town or village, a pleasant place, quaint (think “River City” from The Music Man), and probably with a population of 16-20 thousand…

  12. WAR outlook, Friday at 3 PM.

    Markets are NOT indicating any news leakage of something coming up (that I can see).

    Just did a refueler scan about an hour ago and while there are about 25+- KC 135’s and about 5 K762’s (refueler version of the 767) up which while high that is NOT abnormal for a weekday as you approach the eom and pilots and crews are trying to get in their monthly flight time before they head home for the weekend (seen those combined numbers go over 50 a couple of times). What was most interesting was the lack of refuelers over Europe way, only a couple which is normal, and NONE over the Atlatic.

  13. Iran knows [ at least they ‘should’.] that if it comes down to trading punches with Israel that they will lose – big time. Israel will also suffer, but Iran will be devastated and sent back to 1800’s – especially with the loss of their oil production and shipping. With no funds they will no longer be able to support the half dozen terrorist organizations that count of them for arms and finances. Their economy will crash with no revenue and it will take many years for them to rebuild.
    Russia has stated that: “We will not abandon our Iranian friends.”
    So.., with Israel pounding Iran., will Russia step in and help? If so., then it is more than likely that Turkey will also, with more than a probability that Egypt will roll their thousands of tanks across the Sinai.     I am totally going to try hydroponic potatoes.. how I have decided to do it is.. I have 2 gallon plastic buckets.. my thought was air pruning..but I’m not going to air prune.. I will place a two gallon grow bag in the bucket..with the air prune holes..

    Larry hall from Brainard Minnesota started gutter garden.. having visited with him and what he was able to do so simply is amazing..he showed the root ball of one corn stalk..it filled the bucket.. anyway I will do a deep well hydro bucket..
    then either take a five gallon bucket and cut a hole so the two gallon will fit.. or take a long storage tote and put multiple two gallon potato buckets are in it..for my sixty unit hydro system the water reservoir tote can easily fit four possibly five 2 gallon buckets.. in the bottom put a 3 inch hole so that a four inch pool noodle can fit in it this will hold the seed.. then fill the grow bag with coconut fibers..or moss.. the pool noodle will be sliced off.. the roots into the solution and potatoes in the media..

    When I was 15, I never felt good until after I got hit once, and I took pleasure in trading punches until the other guy gave up. Once I got older, or was faced with a group, every possible blow was scripted in my mind, and every one was a potential killing blow. Fighting for fun, or to convince a bully of the error of his ways is one thing. Fighting for one’s life is a whole ‘nother thing, and you don’t cut your antagonist any quarter – EVER. You don’t let up, you don’t fight “nice,” and you don’t stop until your opponent is no longer moving (and no, that doesn’t mean “dead,” that means KO’d or broken), because he’ll lie until you let up. Then you get to fight him again, usually after he’s scarfed-up a weapon. (Did I ever mention how much knife fights scare me? Did I ever mention how I know this?)

    Israel will give a very careful and directed response. If Iran responds again though, Reza Pahlavi may find himself in charge of whatever’s left…

      • There was a show on one of the Discovery Networks channels a few years back. I never watched it, but in the trailer they showed two SpcOps demonstrating how SpcOps are trained in knife fighting (Steven Seagal’s performance in “Under Siege” is the only accurate depiction of SEAL knife handling and fighting I can recall ever seeing, and Tommy Lee didn’t do a very good job on his end of the scene.)

        I still have a couple of my training knives (rigid PVC) laying around, somewhere. I trained the kids a little when they were young (because knife-fighting is scary shit.) They weren’t especially interested, but got enough that they should at least be able to avoid wetting themselves if ever faced with the business end of a pig sticker. The real way to avoid a knife (or gun) fight though, is to be elsewhere, and that’s what the bulk of their upbringing emphasized…
