For a little while, looks like:
Active Warning: Yes
NOAA Scale: G4 – Severe
NOAA Space Weather Scale descriptions can be found at
www.swpc.noaa.gov/noaa-scales-explanation
Potential Impacts: Area of impact primarily poleward of 45 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude.
Induced Currents – Possible widespread voltage control problems and some protective systems may mistakenly trip out key assets from the power grid. Induced pipeline currents intensify.
Spacecraft – Systems may experience surface charging; increased drag on low earth orbit satellites, and tracking and orientation problems may occur.
Navigation – Satellite navigation (GPS) degraded or inoperable for hours.
Radio – HF (high frequency) radio propagation sporadic or blacked out.
Aurora – Aurora may be seen as low as Alabama and northern California.
Well, shoot fire and save matches.
Back to work,

hmmmm…. shape of things to come. I’m still trying to come up with the meaning too all these symbols of prophecy I keep seeing. I’m not sure If I’m supposed to prophecy or it.has to do with others prophecy coming to fruition.
I’m always in the right place at the right time. even when I think I’m not. and for some reason I’m not close to any coast line. and at very very high altitude. way above sea level.
the company mailed my paycheck back to my Seattle address and so have to wait to get paid on Monday. someone messed up and sent out a check and didn’t do direct deposit.
I didn’t get upset, because I have food, gas to get around town and my room to hang out in. no sense getting upset about it. I will get paid.
the under current of that language says, stay put Andy! okay DUDE, I will stay put. for now. I’m right where I’m supposed to be. that is obvious for even an idiot could see that much.
I did review a bunch of Prophecies yesterday. and read the revised Deagle report for 2025. which is worse due to the Vax issue.
shit, I don’t know.
I just know what I know. the moon is accelerating in it orbit change moving farther away from the earth and that is not good. and all these symbols of prophecy are all around me. more than I can keep track of.
and last time I relocated from Seattle. the first case of covid in the US was 1 block from where I was at and happened exactly two weeks after I left that area.
I’ve never had covid.
and I arrived at Palm Desert at the same time Trump landed in Palm Springs.
and all that out rage on capital hill in Seattle Washington. followed later by outrage at the capital in Washington DC.
all surely a coincidence of Divine timing. THE DUDE is keeping me safe.
hmmm. and exactly 2 weeks after I left this time. Washington band purchases of semi automatic rifles. so we can expect something in the future to that effect on a larger scale.
today is a nice day. might as well enjoy it.
when it comes to me. and it always does. it always comes to me. because I listen alot. alot alot. then perhaps I will let ya all know.
The moon getting further away, slowing of the moon’s orbit, and tides getting lower has been going on from the beginning:
https://news.uchicago.edu/explainer/formation-earth-and-moon-explained
https://astronomy.stackexchange.com/questions/39109/how-high-were-the-tides-back-when-the-moon-was-much-closer-to-earth
The moon’s orbit receding is not really new in astronomical circles. It’s been going on since before there was anything biological going on on this rock. That’s one less thing to worry about.
But an employer who mails a paper paycheck to a former address instead of handing it to you sounds like a smart-ass in the accounting department. That I would worry about.
Yeah the Moon’s transit across the sky has been all over the place lately. Must have nothing to do with the Square orbital alignments of Jupiter Mars Saturn Venus. Last seen when?I think Pharaohs were still running Egypt.
I tell ya one thing. they ban purchases on semi automatic rifles at the federal level. that ain’t going to go over very well. especially in this state. can’t imagine Texans being on board with that.
Washington was the first place i legalizd weed. now it’s the first place to ban semi automatic rifles. if other states follow that example. it’s not going to go well with most of the citizens in the US. that is a fact.
probably be a good idea to not be in or close to any big city.
especially if the power goes out.
the United States ain’t Australia and sure as shit aint Great Britain.
it’s like this for me all the time. i went and did my laundry in town because the dryer at the hotel is broke. stopped by the little to pick up a few things. she rang me up. $11.89
I realized, I forgot my wallet in my hotel room. I paused and took a step back. then I remembered I have a lotto ticket in the car.
so I went and grabbed it. she scanned it and I won $12. whoohoo! paid my shit and got 11 cents back.
stuff like that happens all the time for me. hahaha
haha. cool. thanks DUDE!
Okay time to go study. have a great Sunday. I’m off to a good start.
Northern lights in Alabama? Holy shit! That’s a storm!
Norway spiral part 2.
haha

George,
Your broken wine jugs had pieces of glass missing, and Texas cows have been found with tongues missing. Is there a connection?

I think I will take my introductory flight at this flight school over in Utah this weekend. hour and a half in the sky. in a Diamond DA40. it’s $240, but like the fella said. you will know damn well at the end of that flight if it is or it’s not for you. you will get to take control of the plane and feel it for a while.
he said come do this before you start shelling out money for a head set and everything to make sure. he said, it’s good eye opener.
then once you are hooked? you will be spending more money per week than a gambling addict in a casino, but hey, it’s all counting towards you getting that great job as a commercial pilot.
you’re first job as a commercial pilot will probably flying skydivers up to jump out of the damn plane that you hardly know shit about flying. it’s a beautiful thing.
I like that guy. speaks my language. I was laughing so hard.
I said sounds perfect.
he said, I just want to be real with you. i appreciate it.
so I’m probably going to go fly on Sunday over in Utah and see if it is how I want to spend all my Ore train driving money and weekends when I’m not working.
drive ore trains all week and spend all my time off flying around. definitely something different.
Any advice?
Read this and it’s all important shit: https://www.boldmethod.com/blog/lists/2022/06/10-ways-to-perfect-your-landings/
Second, read the entire POH (pilot’s operating handbook) on the DA-40 https://ramaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/AFM-DA40-N556LU-compressed.pdf
In your head at all times:
TAKEOFF: Rotation Speed, climb speed, flap retract speed if used in takeoff. prop speed.
PATTERN: Watch for other traffic. Hold Pattern alti within 50 ft until abeam numbers and setting up a stabilized approach. GUMP CHECK? *gas, undercarriage, manifold, prop – no g,m, (and maybe P) on the DA-40
LANDING: Crab for wind to STAY ON CENTERLINE. Pattern power. Don’t chase airspeed. Trim for ideal glide. Compensates 50% for gusts. If approach speed is 70 and wind has 10 knots gust component add 5 knots to a/s. +10 knots a/s for 20 knot gust components etc. Don’t flare too low or high. Learn to feel entry to “ground effect.” Hold on the edge of stall as a/c settles on runway. Pull stick back to slow, UNLESS are in heavy rain, in which case get all the weight you can on the mains so you don’t hydroplane.
AFTER: Clear the runway promptly – no stopping. Contact ground ctrl and keep your plane moving. In gusty winds, ailerons down on the windward wing. You don’t want to get flipped. Down elevator taxing with tailwinds, same reason.
Read the book Stick and Rudder. https://amzn.to/3NaeYTk

Have your instructor do an accelerated stall. Then back-to-back 720s and roll out on a specific course and hold 3 deg of heading. Have him do the “close eyes” fly for a minute and then point at “up” – open eyes and be delighted.
Capt. Smiley will have more, I’m sure.
Yup, remember my time at Embry-Riddle and it was drilled into our heads over and over. Good times, in that 172 chicken hawk. Good times indeed
cook, thanks man! I appreciate it.
especially the links. I will start studying them tonight after work. couple hours dedicated to study is 60 hours a month.
this all places new meaning on “the plane of inspiration.”
thanks dude.
Had a bona fide engine failure (clogged plugs) only 4 hours into flight training. I lined up and came within 50 ft of landing in the bean rows of a farm when my instructor got the engine going again. “Don’t let it touch down!”
It was no longer required training when I was learning in 1976, but my instructor took me up high and spun our C152. After I pulled my head out of the back seat, did the control inputs, and watched an oak tree spin in the windshield. “How long does this take?” I asked. Instructor was all crabbed up and braced on his side and said “JUST HOLD…. HOLD! Three and a half rotations and 1,000 feet lower I was pulling straight out of the dive. “Now”, he says, “if you were on approach 800ft AGL, how many feet underground would you be??” Lesson impact never forgotten.
Then there was the recent Hawaii skydive pilot that liked to do dramatic high angle takeoffs to thrill his passengers. He stalled & flipped at a couple hundred feet and killed all ten aboard, still on field. ‘There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots. There are NO old, bold pilots.
Never got into acrobatics though some of my friends back then did. Saved one friend’s bacon once when a Tstorm tossed him inverted on final approach at 1 am going into New Orleans. Because of the storm not even city lights below him to see as I recall him saying. He got it back upright and landed … but the King Air in front of him and the Lear behind him didn’t make it.
You either love it or it is just so so. If just so so it is NOT for you. Your really have to LOVE IT in order to be a good pilot.
In order the to live out a life of doing it you also have to be a By The Book person, NEVER cutting corners, in addition to having a feel for flying. Know a bunch of pilots who killed themselves, you could always see it coming – ALL were corner cutters, and of the “safe ones” only one ever killed himself flying, freakest accident I ever even heard about, not his fault and nothing he could have done, … every other “safe” pilot I knew made it to full retirement with no serious accidents but there are some really weird stories among those pilots. Ex roommate (retired 767 Captain) put it to me once “364 days, 23 hours and 55 minutes of boredom punctuated by 5 minutes of pure terror EACH AND EVERY YEAR”.
Would have done it myself if my eyes weren’t so bad when I was younger (they wouldn’t hire bad eyesight people back then)
Enjoy … but if you don’t automatically LOVE IT then it isn’t for you.
On final you are looking right at that big Number painted on the end of the runway. Put the big Number in the lower 3rd of the windshield just above the glare shield. Move the yoke in very small increments to keep the big Number in the same position. Keep staring at that number until you get a real sensation of speed near the ground. Raise your gaze to 2/3 rds down the runway and pull the throttle to idle. Just lifting your gaze naturally makes you pull back just enough to let the mains kiss the runway first.
Alternatively, use the Jesus method… come bombing in with the nose pointed down… when your instructor yells “Jesus!” pull the power off and look down the far end of the runway, your nose comes up just enough for that smooth landing!
I would have loved to take sky divers, but I lucked out working as an instructor at a Cessna dealer in Ventura CA.
Have fun!
pretty cool old dude. straight shooter. I appreciate that.
I gotta get some sleep. driving ore trains tonight on the night shift.
check back and see for Ure words of wisdom on flying planes.
I laughed for a while about my first job as a commercial pilot. nothing instills a bunch of confidence in you as a professional pilot like taking a bunch of people up who jump out of your plane while your fkying. hahahahhahahah
keeping it real.
hahahaha.
Andy, you’ll get along fine with skydivers. They’re mostly crazy and live for risks. I used to fly for a bunch near Dallas. One day a guy they called Gyro Gearloose was pushing a bunch of folks to go jump with him when the wind was gusting beyond safe parachuting levels. He finally got 3 others to agree to go. I took them to 12,500′ and let them out, then did a fast spiral back to the airport. I was standing at the gas pump waiting for them when I heard someone yell, “GYRO! Behind you!” He was driving the chute forward as hard as he could and was still traveling backwards about 15 mph. He couldn’t see behind him because of the chute straps in the way, so he did a quick 180 to look. He had just enough time to get his feet up before he hit the hangar door. He went through the door and was stuck half in, half out, laughing like a loon. It took a while to get a ladder and pull him out, but he was uninjured and still laughing.
Another thought or two… If you haven’t already, I’d recommend a visit to an Aviation Medical Examiner to see if you are physically fit for flight. Start simple with a 3rd class exam, unless you want to go straight to 2nd class and see if you’re commercial capable.
Some old sayings that deserve your attention…
It’s better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than to be in the air wishing you were on the ground.
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.
Runway behind you and altitude above you are useless in an emergency.
When the engine quits, the FIRST thing you must do is FLY THE AIRPLANE. Everything else is secondary.
When the engine quits and you select a good spot for an emergency landing, STICK WITH YOUR CHOICE. Changing streams in mid-horse can get you hurt or killed.
There are old pilots and bold pilots, but very few old bold pilots.
Yes, I was a certifiable fright instructor in a previous life.
Always late to the discussion with the 12 hour time difference. I’d like to post this to your next missive. Yes, major geoseismic activity on the southern Pacific plate. But I’ve noticed the past few days a strange quiescence in the US. As a geo I check the global seismic activity several times a day to get a sense of long-term patterns. Somewhat unusual but not necessarily worrying. Hopefully not a sign of tectonic locking along the US west coast?
