And a Stormy Tuesday morning coming.

We’re OK – just heavy rain and lightning all over hell and gone.  G2 and his fire crew are out on downed trees and power lines with the local utility outfits.  Lots of red on the radar at the bottom of this system…

A couple of tornado reports down south of us (50 miles).

Storms will peak around 5 AM and then we’re going to run them out of state.  So, in the Arklatex and southwest LooselyAnna, be ready.

Power systems here are fine, but if there’s a delay in the Tuesday posting it will likely be weather (not laziness) related.  Redundant access points and power, what could go wrong…

  2. We had a couple of funnel clouds pass over/near us last night, but no apparent damage yet visible. Got 2.3″ of rain overnight, and it’s still coming down pretty good. We need the rain, so I’m not complaining.

  3. Easter Weekend, particularly Good Friday, is for us almost a yearly Tornado ritual. Starting the weekend before until the weekend after tens to even a hundred or so can spin up at a time when the seasonal major fronts comes through.

    After that time frame the potential number of simultaneous tornados drops, though individually they can still go up to F5’s during that time of the year.

    Seen more than a few in my days, but never personally seen anything above an F3 … and never care to.

  4. My house got hit by lightning last night. I had the local fire department check out my house. All is fine. They had 3 other calls near by. It was quite startling to have pictures fall off the walls and the lights to go off and back on, not to mention the flash outside and the BOOM.
