As we watch the potential count-down clock to WW III, a discussion of time risk seems in order.  Not that we can do a damn thing about it.  It’s just that we have been watching events in Ukraine closely since last November.  And it has come down to this weekend for my “fish & chips bet” with one of my daughters.

My actual birthday is the marker, so we need to get out of “birthday weekend” with a chance of peace and no tanks rolling west in order for U.S.-Russian diplomatic talks next Wednesday.  Biden said that if there’s action this weekend, it will mean the door on peace has been slammed shut.

A few “headlines from the front” to tee up the day and then a discussion of how utterly devastating 2022 and beyond could be for financial markets as we seem ready to follow the Great Depression Trail.

  4. George Ure, your view on how to manipulate the future is relevant here, but with a twist. If you subscribe (as you do) to Wheeler’s ‘many worlds theory’, then a new universe may well sprout whenever we think a new thought. That new universe belongs to and is experienced by the same person who created that thought.

    Notice that creating universes this way means it must be a very ‘cheap’ process, meaning that physical reality is really a kind of ‘thought form’ – no need to actually create trillions of tons of matter each time.

    So if one goes about preaching a certain theme and therefore getting others to think similar thoughts, these people will be drawn into similar universes.

    It ought to be possible for one to think, and keep on thinking, a happy thought / future, and it will manifest for that thinker. Trouble is, we all like to listen to doom mongers and negative news items, and find it very difficult to not fall into the trap of thinking that doom is what the future holds.

    • You need to understand that part of Future is the appearance of a new meme, thought form, or context.
      So, in this regard, Clifs work could NOT come out and say Covid because that particular distillation of future had not-yet condensed from the GMC (not Detroit’s, I mean the global mass consciousness GMC).

      Sun disease (where Sun is a parent of coronas) and disease (which needs no change) was and stands as a seminal call, however as I’ve explained, timing matters.

      Newbies (not accustomed to Clif’s work) may be critical in that “corona” as in virus would not drive the same investment decisions (for example) as would “sun disease” because that could be sunblock companies like Coppertone.

      On the other hand, as you work the future a little more diligently, it becomes clear that the aspect (disease) was the investment advice from our future selves, not the attributes (sun, now corona).

      Same with some of the broken money hints that we’ve evolved. It’s not just about timing markets; it’s about understanding that humans have had their VALUES SYSTEMS hacked. And so, Elaine and I have tilted from moneyness to sustainableness, if that isn’t obscure enough.

      Key to owning the future is the conjugation of the new word(s) which will become bespoke when an event arrives (Covid or Corona), but even getting a “downpayment” on future is still a mighty leap available from mass machine-reading of the web whether you’re doing it with scripting (*general case), linguistic specific, or Grady’s insights into VPF9, or even Stu’s turn of a critical detail in Nostra scribbles.

        There is NO ‘physical’ substance at the heart of subatomic particles. And everything in our ‘Physical Universe’ is composed of subatomic particles. Even to call these ‘particles’ is a bit misleading. There is ‘nothing there’ but…

        What we have here in our Universe and our place in it are two things: Energy and Observation. That’s it. The apparent World around us is a Sea of Energy that we manipulate through our Observation and Intent. We move energy around like molding clay with our hands into the World we choose to ‘see’ and experience. And what is behind the Sea of Energy and Observation? Just one thing: Consciousness.

        Just as all particles exist as Waves and All Potentials All The Time, what predictive linguists does is point the way to one particle stream of Consciousness out of the infinite possibilities that are always out there pointing in all directions.

        The other streams of Consciousness do not go away nor are they any less ‘real’. The mystery is in why we are drawn to one particular stream out of the many. This also is the mystery behind the Collapse of the Wave Function (to a ‘Particle’). Something causes the infinite states of potential to collapse down to a single one during a single Observation.

        Many believe that our ‘Intent’ is the trigger, and that may well be the case. At the very least, Intent shoves things toward one particular outcome out of the many. But there may be something else involved too – something we haven’t quite identified yet.

        Either way, you can’t go wrong realizing as the Sages have long taught the outside World is a Dream or Illusion that we experience as we interpret the Energy Fields around us into patterns that we choose to acknowledge. And that brings us back to the true fundamental of Existence: Consciousness. It is our Ground of Being and the ultimate foundation of everything.

        We are all Energy playing around with Energy and molding Things with it and putting labels on what We had molded.

        • Edward Leedskalnin was way ahead of his time on this. The conventional view today is we “see when a photon arrives.” In a much more Allegory of the Cave manner, Leedskalnin believed our eyes SEND something which – in turn – comes back to us as an energy/photon.

The human mind is hard-wired to find connections, even where none exist, and it takes a lot of insight and effort to overcome this bias. But I guess it’s (mostly) a harmless way to pass the time.     • Some people assume “Sun disease” is SARS CV-2. COVID has killed a few million people. I would expect for something to qualify, the real “Sun disease” would kill hundreds of millions, and I would expect the real “global coastal event” to kill at least 300 million people.

      COVID deaths in the U.S. are ranging around a quarter of a percent. That’s utterly tragic if you are that 1 person in 400 who dies — less tragic if’fn you’re numbered amongst the other 399. I expect a true “bad” global event to kill 5%+ of the species. I expect a truly “Biblical” event to kill 33%…

    Russian sympathetic Belarus borders Poland (to it’s West), the Ukraine (to its South) and the vulnerable and strategically desirable Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (to its NE). I don’t count out Putin using the U.S./Polish armament deal as a pretext to a move against the Baltic states under the pretext of Russian security from NATO aggression. LIke a whacked out real world game of Risk, the Baltics would provide Russia another desirable Baltic Sea port for entry (via Denmark) to the N. Sea and the N. Atlantic.

    As 2 of the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council, Russia and China can neuter any reasonable objection to their territorial ambitions. Welcome to “Cold War II – the chill is back!”

    • From Putin’s perspective the US and Nato putting military aircraft a mere 10 minute flight (5 if supersonic) from Russia’s second biggest city (St. Petersburg) was not just just a big middle finger towards Russia but a REAL military threat. That would be much like Russia putting military aircraft up the Hudson River, at Stewart International in Newburg NY, from New York City which I am sure would give nightmares to the planners at the Pentagon (from the borders of Estonia to the middle of downtown St. Petersburg is only 84 miles!!)

      Nato, with the US pushing it, has been pushing military weaponry including nuclear capable missiles ever and ever closer to the biggest cities in Russia. It has been relentless for 20 years now and as a result Russia, which has a long term history of independence and fighting off invasions, has finally reached the breaking point of being pushed is how I read the situation.

      The unwillingness of the Nato, with the US pushing it, to agree to any sort of distance barrier with it’s Ukrainian adventure (the CIA overthrow of the ELECTED government in Kiev in 2014 just 5 months before their next scheduled election) and OUR flat out statement that Ukraine could come into Nato was just a “Bridge Too Far” for Putin and Russia. (Putin is NOT alone in this adventure. I am sure the entire upper echelon of Russia’s military is even more determined than he is to PREVENT a further erosion of Russian security).

      Putin, and Russia’s military high command and the Russian political elites have elected to FINALLY MAKE A STAND against further Nato encroachment on their security , much like we would probably do if the Russians already had Stewart International Airport just up the Husdon from NYCunder their control and were now moving put their military into Connecticut too.

      My concern as this develops is will Russia finally decide to take out that Nato thorn in it’s side, the Nato presence in the Baltics as this War develops. The Nato presence in the Baltics which puts Nato aircraft a mere 10 minute flight from Russia’s 2nd’s biggest city is one that I am sure the Russian military planners have been thinking hard about. Will Russia stop with just Ukraine BEFORE Nato has a legal reason to get involved, or will the decide to handle the Baltic “problem” also?

      The US wouldn’t stomach Russian missiles 330 miles from Miami (forget Key West … that was and is an unimportant city, Miami is the closest real city to Cuba) so why would the US expect Russia to be willing to put up with US missiles just 100 miles away from St. Petersburg? (the Baltics) or 300 miles from Moscow (Ukraine border area to Moscow)?

      Sometimes you can only push even a weaker person so far into a corner before they lash out … and that is what it appears we have finally done with Russia.

      The aggressiveness of the US and Nato wrt Russia HAS with Nato’s constant expansion been relentless. It has been ongoing under both Democratic and Republican Administrations, so from all outside appearances it has the full concurrence of everybody in the National Security Establishment of BOTH political parties in the US as well as the US military. The US would NOT have put up with that happening on it’s borders (almost went to war in 1962 over it) so there is no reason to expect another rational actor would put up with it happening on THEIR borders either.

      I would now give it about 50/50 odds that Russia will decide to FINALIZE the issue of Nato in the Baltics once and for all during the upcoming conflict.

      Per various news articles Russia was willing to go Nuclear in 2014 when they took back Sevastopol if the US and Nato had opposed that, they considered Sevastopol CORE to Russia itself, and they “MAY” be willing to go nuclear over the Baltic issue if Nato wants to mix it up over those REMOTE TO THE CORE OF EUROPE tiny countries.

      WHY did those Baltic Countries decide to join Nato, being so far on the periphery that in the event of War Nato could NOT in reality defend them? Why not the Finland option, which worked well for Finland for decades?

      We can only speculate but I am sure Nato, and the US, heavily lobbied them to join Nato so that Nato could have weaponry just minutes from downtown St. Petersburg and jutting into the heart of Russia itself.

      I guess we now hang on and see how this situation develops. Russia appears to be prepared to play it’s weak hand to the finish, and when you have a weak player cornered they often pull out ALL the stops in order to avoid certain defeat.

      I am certainly glad my older son, who is in the AF Reserves is NOT being sent to an AFB in Europe since if this thing expands those will be the very first places hit in any wider war. As Gulf War 1, 2, the Armenian Azerbaijan conflict a year ago, and the Libyan conflict last year have ALL shown that without control of the air armor is now hamburger … and Putin will NOT let his armor become hamburger. Any Nato air units WILL be hit immediately if the War expands and Nato decides to get involved … as will the 3 carriers (US, France, Italy) currently in the Med.

      Sorry to sound so doomy and gloomy. 50/50 it ends up Russia goes for the Baltics too … and if Nato gets seriously involved when that happens at least a 25% risk of tactical nuclear weapon use.

    I seem to remember a Euro leader who was being called his country’s answer to Washington in decades past. Our Washington forged a nation, did his public duty, then went home.     • I couldn’t tell if it had been my remaining teeth or my heart that caused my problem, since the pain involved both left sides, upper and lower gums. So I prayed to the DUDE for help. He recommended a strong Vodka cocktail with 1000 MG OF ASPIRIN. I was glad to have followed his “impression,” because they worked tops. (Sometimes the dude is slow to answer, for whatever reason?! Not during this time of my urgent need ;-))))))))))))))))).
      I live alone at home with my “trusting cat” as companionship. My wife of >50 years died several years ago, and since then, I feel no need to communicate verbally with others, because most of others operate on different frequencies which just causes additional stress for me. No need for that.
      What gives me comfort though is the fact that an ambulance is parked < 1 min. from where I live with crews that have NO equal.
      From my experiences I can certify that Manhattan provides the best medical service in the world, though it has sufficient other problems due to its democratically dominated bureaucracy,

        • One of the great joys of having my son move back home? EMT with defib unit and o2 handy with a 20 second response time. And another extra class ham to work on projects with (kf7ocd)

      • Oil of cloves is a good, temporary fix for a painful tooth. A tooth can seem to hurt on top and bottom of your jaw even when the too tooth is the only one affected. Oil of cloves doesn’t taste great but it works.

    The debt market

    The behavior of prevailing interest rates on western sovereign notes and bonds represents the canary in the debt-saturated, asset-overvaluated global asset debt maceroeconomic system.

    US and German sovereign debt instrument ten year notes like all of the macroeconomic system’s assets self-assemble into valuation growth and decay fractal series following the macroeconomic system’s two simple mathematical fractal laws. This seems paradoxical because of the sizeable manipulation of these instruments by the money creation by central banks afte the 2009 global housing crash and in response to the pandemic. But the roll-over of existing debt has continued and is ongoing, albeit, in a caricatured manner. With rising price inflation of commodities, directly increasing consumer prices for the voting masses and causing socio-political anger, all that is necessary for central banks to do is to allow the markets to operate in a more normal fashion, i.e., competitive sovereign borrowing from the private sector to drain liquidity from the system and control commodity excessive bidding and price valuation. Real competition for private sector money for existing roll-over debt, (let alone newly created soverign debt held by the central banks) during a time of annualized 7 percent consumer inflation, is all that is necessary to cause sovereign debt rates to naturally rise.

    Since November 2020 the German ten year note has increased from negative 0.6% to a positive 0.3% rate. (Currently positive 1.9%) From the August 2019 low (and from a negative 0.7% rate) the German ten year note is following two sequential monthly fractal series: 3/6/8 months and a 3/8/7 months with a nadir on the 6th month of the first series in March 2020 at about negative .085% and a ‘blow-off’ higher rate on month 7 of the third 7 month sub fractal of the second ongoing 3/8/7 month fractal series.

    What is taletell about the above hard data is that the August 2019 nadir German interest rate occurred before the emergence of Covid and the associated massive money printing. What happened in August 2019? Germany, which went through Wiemar, has a historical wherewithal of the social-political instabilty that inflation can produce. Germany is letting the competitive markets do the work to raise interest rates to control inflation.

    With a substantial crash in the equity and commodity markets, the necessity for rate increases by central banks will be offset. Allowing the bond market to raise the interest rates ‘naturally’ will likely be the transient blue print for central banks to control consumer based inflation in the future.

You reported the facts and didn’t add opinion or bash Biden, include any conspiracy theories etc. There is nothing nefarious about the current administration. Fox and other alt right “news/entertainment” organizations would like you to think that for their own profit motives, but the world right now is kind of screwed up. And to be fair, the alt liberal “news” orgs are also spewing disinformation and pushing a idiotic woke agenda to keep the anger and dysfunctional citizenry alive and well and the media outlets flush in ad dollars.

    I am seeing normal people fight back however. Here in San Francisco, 90% of the San Francisco Prosecutors office quit their jobs due to the Head DA’s stupid ultra woke policies to release criminals into the streets and ignoring laws he doesn’t like.     The president of the Ukraine, Mr. Zelensky, appears to have made his roundtrip journey to the Munich peace talks today and not been overthrown by coup. The student who graduated as a lawyer wisely chose to become a comedian. In the first episode of his hit Ukrainian television series “Servant of the People” available on YT in which he plays the role of president of the Ukraine, it is his birthday. He dreams that a coup takes place.

    The actor…I’m sorry – the president’s – birthday was on January 28th. Phew! So at Munich today, Mr. Zelensky berated the assembled flock for appeasing the Russian regime. The Ukraine gave up the world’s third largest nuclear arsenal for what? Ohhhh, the West thought they had tickets to see a work of the Bard, and instead, they got roasted.

    Germany’s Deutsche Welle published a report last month by their (ethnic Ukrainian?) Russia editor. Germany and Russia have wayback ties on the Nordstream pipelines. Sorry Ukraine, three’s company is not your line. Mr. Zelensky is left calling Jerry Seinfeld saying, no joke, he’s got a whole lot of nothing but fumes left in his tank? Mercy, throw the man a gag.

  22. To change the world seems like a huge task. But sometimes the seemingly most complex problems have simple solutions. Often getting rid of one specific problem gets rid of many problems. Sometimes, it only takes a little change to get things flowing in the right direction.

    The way everything is going, it’s difficult to find that one thing that will make the difference.

    I prayed on that recently and mentioned to The Dude, “I don’t even know what to pray for.” And there was a silence that followed. Then I heard that intuitive voice that comes to mind on occasion and said, “Happiness … pray for Happiness Bob.”

    In the days that have followed this, a lot of stress has dissolved and, attitudes both mine and of those near me, are actually better. There are smiles and, personalities are nearer to what they were in better times.

    What ever your hopes, dreams and wishes are, please put “Happiness” on the list. “Be The Change”

    2/22/2022 is supposed to be the USA’s Pluto return. 248 years since the USA was born in 1776. Date chosen by astrologer Ben Franklin for various reasons. We talk about our Saturn returns at 28 yr intervals after our birth day as being calamitous. Pluto returns are supposed to be about great transformations having to do with revealed truths. Also supposedly influenced before and after the actual date.. some say February 20, maybe discrepancies due to “wobble”..

    I wonder about this global coastal event to come. Seems strange that both Obama and Pelosi own mansions so very close to water. What do they know about this supposed event? I have read articles about it and heard interviews about it. It is very possible that it could occur from a landslide that generates a huge tsunami and hits a coastline. Or, an asteroid strike might do the same. Catastrophic events are said to occur at defined intervals from what I note in the Great Wheel of Time, which covers 25,920 years per total cycle. Some people round this number to 26,000 years. The Great Wheel of Time incorporates the signs of the zodiac and the solstices. It also uses the number 72, as 7+2, 7×2, 9×8, and 72×360. Fascinating, indeed.

    Old sunspot AR2936 was the one that took down multiple Starlink satellites. It has grown larger since then, and recently had a large flare explosion on the farside of the sun. That huge Coronal Mass Ejection was directed away from Earth, fortunately. Now that spot is about to rotate into the Earth-facing side of the sun. Stand by for fireworks!

        Three superpowers are locked in a Mexican standoff (Refer to the film, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly as the model ).
        Each power is loaded up with fast strike tactical nukes in forward positions surrounding vassal states, in an attempt to gain territory for economic plunder through intimidation. The personnel in the forward positions have a high concentration of young loose cannons who believe their authority levels are higher than they are (as is typical for that age group).
        A high level x-flare cuts loose, blacking comms and the grid, giving the appearance that a major EMP attack is underway to under-trained and science-deficient commanders. One of them misinterprets, panics, and launches. It only takes one (refer to GA Stewart for modeling of consequential damages through 2038).
        It doesn’t require conspiracy to provoke an exchange, just excessive reliance on bully tactics and confrontation by the wealthy overlords and kings of US and THEM, with an unforeseen black swan event as initiator.

        We would not have a “panic launch.” I don’t believe the machines would automatically launch a nuclear response (the ex-nuke dudes here would know better than I), but with a massive EMP I believe the military computers would assume a HEMP attack and automatically launch a HEMP response — not just our computers, but Russia’s, China’s, and possibly France’s. A HEMP “response” would be designed to cripple everybody, to “level the playing field.” Ya can’t have a fight where sojers with machine guns get to get it on against a tribe of cavemen, especially if’fn it’s your tribe who’re the cavemen…

  32. Just for interest, Rand Paul has introduced a bill to curtail “asset forfeiture”, aka rampant government theft under color of law. The idea is anathema to civilized humans, and a strong disincentive to actively work for anything! I’d never work to accrue wealth if I knew that it would be stolen by those who claim the right to demand my trust. Those are mafia techniques, except that the mafia limits their take so as to avoid killing the golden goose. While I don’t trust anyone in elected or appointed office, I do believe that this particular bill would go a long way toward potentially increasing our confidence in the system. This bill is decades too late, but definitely worth supporting. We need to force a roll call vote and get rid of anyone that opposes it:
