The ‘time and space’ remark brings to mind post-WWII stories, particularly the Philadelphia Experiment and later the space-time tales about Montauk Island. Arkansas on Thursday reportedly became the first state in the country to formally allow state and local governments to accept payments in gold or silver as legal tender if desired, after GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed the bill into law.
Sanders’ signature comes just days after the Arkansas state Senate unanimously passed the bill in a 33-0 vote. A similar bill passed the Utah legislature, but was vetoed by Gov. Spencer Cox last month.
