Pass Out the Nukes – Greasy Joe Stuff

Oh my God, what a grand Thursday it is.  Ure’s back from the Big Bad Ugly Rally we warned was coming and is ready to open a can of whup-ass on some Bulls.

See, the thing is, there is very little in the headlines supporting anything near the “Build Back Better” fairytale.

Walk with me.

Challenger Job Cuts

As explained on the subscriber side – but you might as well know it, too – H.R. departments have a weird/nasty habit lately of posting job openings and never actually filling them.

However, even with that bit of English (a reference to top-rotation of a pool ball, right?) we still landed in the crapper this time:

Job Cuts Surge 46% In September 2022, Up 68% From Same Month Last Year; September Hiring Intentions Fall To Lowest Level Since 2011 | Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc.

And the Jobs Reaper continues:

U.S.-based employers announced 29,989 cuts in September, a 46.4% increase from the 20,485 cuts announced in August. It is 67.6% higher than the 17,898 cuts announced in the same month last year, according to a report released Thursday from global outplacement and business and executive coaching firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc.

Futures actually came up on release of the numbers.  One has to imagine the clown posse on the Street figures the bad hiring news will give the Fed pause when comes to a rate jack this month.  But more practically, they’re likely going to drive it up a bit early to short from higher levels.  I mean, let’s never let bad news go under monetized, yah?

Even with the ADP report Wednesday, the odds of tomorrow’s EMPSIT report from Labor has only a ghost’s chance in hell of seeing more people actually working than we had in the late fall of 2019.  Just in case you forgot, refer to the two reality boxes below:

Reality in pre-mid-term craziness is out hiding in the woods, somewhere.  We have no idea what this stuff is called.

New York Times article reflects the cloud of insanity passing between Earth and the Sun:  Some Unlikely Dealers Are Selling Weapons to Ukraine.

And why not?  We’re being asked to pass out the Nukes – as reported in Poland suggests hosting US nuclear weapons amid growing fears of Putin’s threats. What could go wrong?

Tomorrow is Vladimir Putin’s birthday – 70 if we remember correctly.  Our concern is nuclear war really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Where were we?

Oh yeah.  The Challenger Job Cuts report.

Keep the reality decoder print-out tomorrow.  We’d sure like a little “sell the rumor, buy the news” which would let us go short into the weekend.  But maybe that’s asking too much.  We’ll see what God provides.

Greasy Joe Stuff

I would never label the president as a greasy crime family boss.  But he sure has the problems of one (and maybe several).  Seems Putin and the prince: fears in west as Russia and Saudi Arabia deepen ties.

But, with so many witnesses, this isn’t like Nordstream, right? So for now, it’s being held to talking points.  Like Oil: U.S. delivers angry rebuke of massive OPEC+ production cut and Washington sees OPEC+ planned oil production cuts as political: Yergin.

This last story is important.  Billions of years ago, in a newsroom far away, I remember interviewing him.  I was struck with an instant “Pay attention – this is the smartest guy in the room, even with you in it.”

This was circa 1980-1982.  Yergin was just out with Energy future: Report of the energy project at the Harvard Business School.  This was back when the late senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson was telling me “Watch the Strait of Hormuz – that is the future…”

We’ve been watching the Middle East ever since.  So has Yergin. His latest “go deep” came out two years ago: “The New Map: Energy, Climate, and the Clash of Nations.

It’s not too different from our Manufacturer’s Resource Wars I’ve yammered about on the Peoplenomics site for years.  Basically, same dynamics, issues, and outcome risks.  Just a different slice through the data.

Yes, NS1/2 was Sabotaged

Not that this is any particular surprise around here.  Because as we have duly reported, Russia doesn’t have much incentive to blow up pipelines they control the input to.  But the US, Ukraine and whoever-the-fck Alphabet groups?  Oh, hell yeah.  Nord Stream gas leaks: Suspicion of gross sabotage, Sweden says (cnbc.com).

Lying America

We’re down with good fairytales and all.  But, we’re not completely stupid, though.  *(Maybe compared to Yergin, sure…)

But we all saw the crime boss in chief talk about it in advance and we did find it suspicious at the time.

Besides, government lies out its ass when it figures it’s “in the public interest.”  And even when the Public could give a rat’s ass.  As in Secret Service accused of covering up car accident involving Kamala Harris.

If you can’t Trust your government, who can you Trust?”

Same answer as yesterday, sport:  No One.

When Lies Don’t Work…

Government moves on from lies to laws.  Check me here, but wasn’t this whole open border’s get worse part of Obama’s Big Plans?  Then Trump dialed it back and the Biden people revived it?

Gets to this morning’s point that Federal appeals court rules DACA is illegal, dealing major blow to liberals.  Um, liberal’s a pretty gentle term for anti-American globalist stooges, but to each their own, we suppose.

One Further Stooge Note

This is a “can’t make the shit up” story.

Now that the knee pads didn’t work in Saudiville, guess where the Slow goes next?

Charles Payne: Biden turns to Venezuela as Europe commits economic ‘suicide by genuflecting to green utopia’.

We assume a trip will follow (don’t forget the knee pads!) and do take A.O.C. with – and leave her there, if you would?

Gas prices are drifting up, but a good blow-up prior to the election ain’t off the table, yet.  Triple A says $3.867 and we figure at least a buck pop on the upside within two weeks after the election.

Go ahead, fact checkers.  We own the future around here, foo.

(It’s actually not that hard. Any clear-headed non-partisan can do it…but care to guess what we’re short of in the world?)

Garbage Heap of History

Hmm.. where to assign these lil delicacies?

Say what, Bill?  Microsoft makes Windows 11 2022 Update available to more people.  Our 64 GB of RAM is on 22000.1042 if you want to get personal.  But most of our “in case of war” boxes are on Mint Vanessa with one holdout insurance box on Cinnamon.

Say, in-school marketing programs sure work, don’t they? Number of transgender children seeking treatment surges in U.S. (reuters.com).  Reason I grok this stuff is having run higher ed marketing where our goal (in 2004) was to brand the kids not later than eighth grade in terms of which college, university, or technical college they’d want to track into.  Own the kids and you own the parents.  Marketing 801.

L.A. Times is hard selling Climate these days.  Take, for example, Climate change made this summer’s droughts around the world 20 times more likely, study finds.  We are quick to remind that “The three longest drought episodes occurred between July 1928 and May 1942 (the 1930s Dust Bowl drought), July 1949 and September 1957 (the 1950s drought), and June 1998 and December 2014 (the early 21st-century drought).  But it all feeds in to making a global famine which we still see on tap next year along with a Greater Depression which is what happens when Biden’s still denied recession rolls over into Depression.  But again, come back next year  – Octoberish – and fact check me then.

“I’ll take pointless personalities for $500, Jack!”  Rachel Maddow’s successor, Alex Wagner, is failing to draw the big audience she commanded in prime time | CNN Business  And it’s George, not Jack.

Gimme Hashin’ of Fashin’ for a Thousand, Bob!” Jared Leto to Play Karl Lagerfeld in Biopic of Late Fashion Designer – The Hollywood Reporter.  (I give up.)

It’s just a phone for God’s sake!  iPhone 14 Plus reviews: Great battery life and a familiar hardware.  For the non techies “Great battery life” is analogous to “Yeah, but she has a great personality!”  We don’t expect lines, such mania’s are communicable diseases, so we shall see.

Meanwhile, can someone PLEASE TELL AMAZON to come out with a 13 to 15-inch Kindle Fire for us oldsters?  A kind of Jitterbug spin on the Fire box.  Please!

Remember when it was just “gimme a lid” or “a small bag of shake’s fine“?  Here’s some marketing for you:
“Environmentally responsible solventless hash rosin edibles with a tropical twist available in Oregon, California and Colorado in fall 2022…”  WTF are hash rosin edibles? Answer here.  And I thought delta 8’s and 10’s were out there…

ATR: Signs in Ure 70’s

You know the timeline is moving along when:

  • The green room grow lights are on Romaine and bell peppers.
  • QST and Home Handyman get subscriptions renewed.  Playboy expired decades back.
  • You wake up every morning to a different body ache.
  • You can say “I didn’t see the speed limit sign, officer” and be telling the truth.
  • Cocktails migrate from quad-shots of vodka to apple or cranberry juice with only a shot of Apple Jack once a week. Maybe…

But you’re still young if you’re too embarrassed to ask, “Do you have a senior discount?”

Off to discount the markets again

…Working on making enough for a gold coffin now.  Wait!  That’d be crazy, right?  On the right planet for that, though…)

  1. “You know the timeline is moving along when:” You finally wrap your head around getting older is not for sissy’s!

      • (Was that “Here kitty kitty with fur soft as silk, come and drink your poison milk?” I’ve never outgrown 7th grade humor. But was there several times so had lots of time to absorb…)

  2. While demoing out the kitchen last week I reached up to pull down a cabinet and felt a sharp pain in my right shoulder. Hurts to lift my arm above shoulder level now. Lacey, my favorite hottie vet was by yesterday and asked why my shoulder was sagging. I told her what happened and she grabbed my arm and lifted it up. Damn that hurt. She says it may be a torn rotator cuff and I better get it looked at. Have to get this project done first.
    Stay safe. 73

    • Jim, if it’s a torn RC it could be a major quality of life issue. Continuing construction work can irritate your injury or tear it even more making surgical repair more difficult. The implication is pain and limited range of motion for the rest of your life. RC surgical repair is no picnic either but with a good surgeon and physical therapy a complete recovery is possible. The exact same thing happened to my wife and she was fortunate to have an orthopedic surgeon on staff with the Chicago Bears repair her torn RC. It took 4 months to recover and she’s been pain free since.

      • Took me a full year to recover from a r/c on my right shoulder (fell on a walmart cart handle but didn’t break either gallon of wine, stood up and wanted to spike something in the end zone.
But I put myself on injured reserves for 6 months…which was a really useful excuse

    • As a household that has had 2 RC surgeries, get it checked and fixed.

A few months of recovery now will pay dividends in a future where such surgery may or may not be available….or at least not readily. And don’t skimp on any PT – PT is what will get you back to where your were prior to the ‘event’.

      Good Luck to us all

    • Mine started with tht injury, and then years later led to both shoulder replacements. Do look at assessment, start wit PT, my suggest. DR.Had me on morphine 10 yrs waiting for first replacement cause too young. Placed me on medical smoke waiting for 2nd. Now only resticted range motion, still, gardening
And they always offer me the enior discount without asking, McDonland’s coffee is great.

  3. Biden turned what was supposed to be a trip to help the people of Florida into another political leftist political agenda. Climate Change caused hurricane Ian according to lyin’ Joe. Did Climate Change cause the 1900 hurricane in Galveston that killed between 6000-8000 people? Barely had cars putting out carbon then! Must have been all the methane coming out of horses asses causing climate change in 1900, huh Joe?

How and why is Climate Change really happening Joe? Passing more billion Dollar legislation will not stop it! You don’t even know what planet you are on half the time! I have written extensively on here about the reasons for Climate Change including those caused by the sun, moon, volcanoes, fumaroles, Milankovitch cycles, earthquakes, oceans, methane leaking from the oceans and earth. Climate Change and increased Carbon Dioxide levels have been going on for millions of years on this planet. It isn’t human caused, except for the satanist globalists controlling the atmospheric heaters in China, Puerto Rico, and other places, and all the chemtrail spraying to speed up the process. Food production is being destroyed by the evil Globalists.

Biden stated in Florida, “More fires have burned in the west and the southwest, burned everything right to the ground, than in the entire state of New Jersey, as much room as that takes up”. “The reservoirs out west here are down to almost zero. We’re in a situation where the Colorado River looks more like a stream.” “There’s a lot going on, and I think the one thing this has finally ended is a discussion about whether or not there’s climate change, and [that] we should do something about it.”

You senile old fool…do your really believe that the people in Florida that have lived through this hurricane and had everything destroyed really care about what is happening in the west and southwest, or a comparative measurement to New Jersey about how much fires in the West have burned? Global climate change is a total lie that cannot be changed by taxing it, or throwing money at it, or you continuing to babble about it Joe. The green new deal is another tool to bring about the total bankruptcy of America.

Piers Corbyn is an astrophysicist and long range weather forecaster that lives in England. Very much on the same level as Joe Bastardi who I mentioned in a post on September 23rd predicting a bad hurricane season weeks before Ian hit. Piers was the founder of Weather Action Long Range Forecasters. His first scientific publications were on aspects of meteorology and astronomy. He also carried out astrophysics research at Queen Mary College London and published work on galaxy formation and the mean matter density of the universe. The guy also knows his stuff when it comes to long range weather forecasting.

On July 23, 2021, I mentioned in a post that Wikipedia co-founder Larry Singer resigned from Wikipedia because he said the editors and content has become too biased to the left. He stated that “only Globalist and Progressive content and bias is now allowed. Conservative ideas, writers, and content is banned”. Wikipedia has done a number on Piers stating that he is a conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer to try and destroy his credibility about Climate Change. Same thing globalist/leftist controlled fact checker AFP has tried to do to him.

If you go against the globalist lies or commentary, the globalists will try to destroy you. Ask any Nationalist like Trump, or the new Prime Minister of Italy, Georgia Meloni who they are now branding as “far right” and a “fascist” because she is for family and individual rights rather than the globalist state, or ask Putin because he has stated that the globalists are liars and Russia will maintain its borders without immigration. They constantly have demonized him. The globalists are now so brazen that they are attacking anyone that goes against their satanist global agenda which includes global climate change.

The short video below (4 minutes) is Piers Corbyn totally shutting down a reporter from RT. It is amusing watching an idiot like the RT interviewer that does not know jack shit about the subject matter of Climate Change when he chose to go after a subject matter expert:
    https://healthimpactnews.com/2022/astrophysicist-weather-expert-climate-is-always-changing-and-has-nothing-to-do-with-man-climate-scientists-are-on-gravy-train-to-secure-funds/

A print interview with Piers exposing the Individual caused Climate Change globalist lies:
    https://larouchepub.com/other/interviews/2007/3422piers_corbyn.html

Biden is a fool. He will go down as the worst President in history of the failing American empire. Fraudulently put a senile proven liar in a position of power, and the whole world will laugh at you and take advantage of you. Get ready for +$100 oil again. And as the dollar declines next year, and Biden’s insane energy policies continue, get ready for +$150 oil before 2023 is over. They will blame it on Putin or Climate Change again. Companies are not drilling in the Permian like before. Rig counts are down. Material, labor costs, transportation costs, and completion costs are too high, and then there is the great unknown of what will Biden do next. Biden has killed our energy independence because of the Climate Change lie and the Green New Deal proposed by total idiots like AOC and the rest of the demo_rats and RINOs, and Obama and the evil billionaire boys clubs behind the screen pulling the strings.

    • Weather wars Hoss, f-ing weather wars! They were furiously dumping & pumping out the chemies for week leading up to event. I installed/run several “cloudbusters” here on property in SE PA. They were overwhelmed with elctro haze/smog/chemies about 36 hrs prior to landfall – no more clear blue circle of sky over neighborhood..just that smothering, agitating haze… Yes, you can watch weather systems/fronts break apart on weather radar as front passes over property, then reorganize,on STORM radar app.

Florida was in the midst of a dry spell – week on weeks of dry, no rain days – they was getting parched. Out of no where in a very quite Atlantic hurricane season, they get a record setting rain bomb? Nerp .

Texas or Florida, take Ure pick – Youse Freedom Loving/Protecting/Fighting 4 -against deepstated federal mafiosi -la kosher nostra, are “enemy” States to the rothrocks WEFer darklings.

      • Ditto to George! After months of Spring with zero rain, we’ve now had months of downpours. The last two weeks have been constant rain, and it’s impossible to do outside work. I like the idea of responsible use of homebuilt cloudbusters!

    • Years back I had ( and lost ) a link from NASA and the JPL , which showed not just Earth , but other celestial bodies like the Gas Giants , Mars , going through the exact same changes as Earth. Detailed lists of readings taken over time. Spot on match.

      How can that be ?

      No SUV’s on Mars.

No cows and pigs on the Gas Giants.

This has been a total sham from the very beginning.

    • Dammit WTHS, will you and Ure quit confusing the left with facts.

I have tried so hard to argue “science” and “facts” with my Liberal friends here in Canada that I am worn out. Asking them to explain why the worst droughts in history were pre-automobiles and how we expect to impact global climate when China is building coal fired power plants weekly while we are shutting down oil and gas production and building windmills and solar panels and destroying our economy in the process, is exhausting. And they never have an answer.

Yes Biden is a fool but perhaps he is just the captain on a “Ship of Fools.” Great movie by the way.

      Have a nice day.

      • That’s silly, Bob. They don’t get confused, because they have their own “facts” which may (or may not) contain any truth whatsoever. The one thing libtards have over conservatives and people of measurable intelligence is an unwavering ability to stay on point. They take their “facts” and beat us with them, minute after hour after day after year until we start arguing their “facts,” rather than actual problems or solutions.

I rarely listen to talkers, for two reasons:

        1) I like to form my own opinions, based on my own research, without any external coloration. I’m secretly flattered that Mark Levin refers to leftist wingnuts as “regressives” now instead of “progressives,” because I was calling them “regressives” 15 years ago, based on the only possible result of their policies. I don’t know if Levin or his staff (if he has one) came across my writings somewhere, or if he arrived at “regressives” through his own research. I don’t need to. I crave no accolades, only solution for, or elimination of problems.

        2) Leftists drive the news cycle. Because of this, they create the “talking points” which the talkers will discuss the next day. I noticed when I listened to Rush Limbaugh, back in the early ’90s, that he spent the majority of his show, doing damage control on the media spew.

Arguing a point, or arguing with people, about something I KNOW to be inaccurate, wrong, or a flat-out lie is a waste of time, and serves no purpose other than to pump the ego of the pompous ass on the other end of the discussion. It zeroes productivity, and can never produce a working solution to any problem. Also arguing a known truth with leftists who politicize it and insist it is false or inaccurate is pointless for the same reasons.

The folks who worship at the Gorical of Al are never going to believe any data whatsoever, which contradicts their belief that we are “global climate-changing” our planet into oblivion. They have supplanted The Almighty with Al Gore. To them, it is logical that, since we have replaced God as the most powerful beings in the universe, of course we are responsible for, and causative of, Earth’s changing climate. The sad thing is, if they were to get their way, we would all die, along with everything else on the planet.

      • Loved your last Paragraph Crystal Pistol…deepstated federal mafiosi-la kosher nostra.

Who controls the media? Who controls the banks? Who controls the drug companies?….Who hates the Goyim (us white boys)? The Zionists. They want to own the world and preach that the Goyim are to be their slaves. What arrogance. That is why I cannot wait until the Central Banks Babylonian Ponzi money system blows up. They charge usury and use a Gestapo type agency to collect it.

Your whole write up is right on.

      • unfortunately I am one of the fools on the ship.. with the captain and the crew running it with blindfolds on LOL..

I didn’t realize that you are one of my hero’s.. LOL LOL LOL I have a book by my chair that I loved so much that It won’t be thrown out or donated to the library.. hard paper copy the author has a lot of the same thoughts I do on mankind.. god bless and have a nice day young man….

    • With all this grim news I suggest an upbeat music video, by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha. There’s just something strangely compelling about this video. I’ve watched it a few times to try and figure out why…….

    • great post wths…

‘ Climate Change caused hurricane Ian according to lyin’ Joe. Did Climate Change cause the 1900 hurricane in Galveston that killed between 6000-8000 people?’

I have heard that climate change is the main cause of hemorrhoids.. climate change is causing a dangerous rise in sea levels, erratic and wild weather, environmental damage, and consequently, a state of worsening human health. Quelling this crisis requires bold efforts and a better understanding of the interdependent forces at play on our bodies and physical health.“We need to start thinking about the environment as a social determinant of health,” now we know.. everyone that has hemeroids should be able to go to their legislators and congressmen and demand that they cure this rapidly growing epedemic of massive hemeroids.. OH wait.. no it can’t be climate change but politicians that are the cause of them.. they are real pain in the azz’s lol lol lol

      • Leads to Assphasia… Hemorrhoids get so big they pull down on ure optic nerve and give you a shitty outlook on life.

  4. The weird thing is that I never even think about a senior discount, because I forget I’m a senior. It’s not until you said that here today that I thought…hey, I get that discount! As a Jew, I’m embarressed to think I may have spent money I didn’t need to. LOL

    • That’s funny. The misses said the same thing a few days ago. We have never asked for senior discount.., just don’t think about it.

    • Checking out at the drugstore behind a grey lady with wine bottles. The clerk asked for her ID. She had to dig for it while the clerk explained it was store policy that an ID had to be scanned for alcohol purchases. The grey lady looked at me (also grey) and said, ” Hey, at our age it’s a compliment to get ‘carded’ for wine!” I agreed.

Then there was the grocery clerk who quipped: “You don’t look old enough for the Senior discount. Can I see your ID?” (What… the grey hair wasn’t a clue?) Maybe that anti-aging stuff is working.

And then today I find out I’m within 30 days of the same age as Putin. Ah, well… “If you remember the 60s you weren’t really there.”

    • With my Dutch heritage … I am beyond appalled!!

The phrase “Let’s Go Dutch Treat” didn’t spring up out of nothingness. When was the last time you heard someone say “Let’s go French Treat” or “Let’s go German Treat”

I really miss those buffalo nickles. I could squeeze those so tight I could make that Indian ride that Buffalo all the time!!

    • I never bother, and in my old age have raised my “tip limit” from 20% to 50%. I figure I can’t take it with me, and that waitress might have a toddler mouth to feed. ‘Course, I also eat in greasy spoons, where meals are rarely above $10.

      • I always tip big.. waitresses and delivery rarely make any money their income is tips. Working as dishwasher I can tell you I’ve seen waitresses crying because they didn’tget enough for gas much less diapers or groceries… and since I don’t have any to worry about.. I make sure the waitress can take home enough for diapers or milk..or buy a meal.
( I tip the dishwasher to..my coffee is always hot and in the cleanest cup)

  5. Notice some of the jobs being cut? I found this intriguing … so much for going green, I guess.

    https://www.powermag.com/siemens-gamesa-will-cut-nearly-3000-jobs/

And if you remember Biden claimed he would end (Obesity) and hunger by 2030 …

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/27/biden-end-hunger-crisis-2030/

Well guess what … Eli Lilly to start rolling submission for obesity drug approval this year …

    https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/eli-lilly-start-rolling-submission-obesity-drug-this-year-2022-10-06/

What really bothered me was this paragraph …

“The FDA has also granted “Fast Track” designation for the drug to treat obesity or overweight with weight-related comorbidities in adults, under which the regulator expedites the review of medicines to treat serious conditions and fill an unmet medical need.”

Now, where have we heard that language before, hmmm? Gave me chills.

Seems to me, covid or not, the (attack) is still on.

    Be careful out there.

    • Siemans Cutting Jobs? Looks like something exacerbated by the EU being out of gas. I think this just searches the surface for what’s in store.

    • “And if you remember Biden claimed he would end (Obesity) and hunger by 2030 …”

The easiest way to do this might be to remove the taboo from cannibalism, then cause a famine and let the hungry people eat the obese ones…

  6. Sorry for being off-subject today but I’ve just run across a new video regarding the CPAP and BIPAP machines that have been discussed here lately. I’ve got the same problems this guy describes who’s YT channel is Essential Craftsman. He has insurance to pay for all his expensive sleep studies and such but I’m not going to drop $3K per session and all the other “oh, guess what?” charges to find out what I already know. The only problem I have with his solution is I’m going to have to lose the ‘stach which will make my granddaughter sad. The dang thing always has a wild one going up my nose half the time anyway. I’ll bet she’ll get over it, though, but if she threatens to cut her hair short I’ll gladly go back to snoring.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YM9Mxg1Bb8

  7. Glad to hear there’s nothing more than red faces following from the VP Washington motorcade fender bender upon entering a tunnel.

    • Well then, from the crossing over at the Pont d’Alma, today’s “Irish Times” describes birthday celebrant Mr. Putin as “a mob boss running a mafia state from Moscow”. The EU region newspaper published a scholarly prediction from the Margaret Thatcher-created University of Buckingham suggesting Mr. Putin’s sands of time may be running low. Talk about invoking the spirit of Hasani-i Sabbah…

The BBC offers rather more decorum to matters of Burrough’s “Nova Express” with surreal links to the Dreamachine. It’s offered in Welsh too for students of the Celtic god Bran.

      https://dreamachine.world/

      • Folks,
According to the White House schedule, Mr. Biden has enjoyed another busy day. It was topped off by a couple of big whale fundraisers. One was with the NJ governor who made a fortune ranging from $50 to several hundreds of millions depending who is counting in a Goldman Sachs career. The second shindig was at the home of a major Democrat donor and Murdoch son estranged from the Fox News empire.

However, when the chips were down, Mr. Biden’s visit to the IBM facility earlier in the day was the showstopper. I had no idea that the Administration had created 10 million jobs and 650,000 of them were in manufacturing! What did Mr. Biden say about the 250 chip per Javelin missile assembled in the USA? “Unfortunately, we produce zero percent of these advanced chips today. Zero percent of these chips that we need today.”

        Wow. So per msm:
-Ukraine has received 5,500 to 8,500 Javelin missiles from the US and allies.
-maximum US annual Javelin production, chip supply permitting, is 2,100 missiles.
-current production according to CNBC is 800 missiles per year.

A Forbes report from 2 days ago heaps praise on Ukrainian forces overpowering unmothballed 50 year old Soviet T-62 tanks. Maybe old man of the mountain Mr. Putin is setting out decoys? Once the Javelin supply is exhausted, he’ll roll out his newer war toys with a lesser risk of having them stopped in their tracks if at all?

  8. “ Rachel Maddow’s successor, Alex Wagner, is failing to draw the big audience she commanded in prime time”

I’m thinking that “big” maybe be relative, especially considering the source…

  9. Gold coffin? Mayhaps history will remember you as Ureankhamun (rhymes with you’re uncommon), a financial pharaoh of multifarious fact.

World Cup: Ukraine joins Spain and Portugal’s bid to host 2030 tournament https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63141352

2030 … no obesity, no hunger and the Ukraine gets the World Cup?

That year, sure seems important to some people.
    I’m rolling my eyes.

    • Re: 2030 World Cup

Ukraine has made it to the World Cup final round of 32 once in the last six tries. At least as tournament host they could receive an automatic bye entry. Their presence would be a breath of fresh air to soccer’s scandal-plagued UEFA governing body. I imagine Ukraine will want to consider updating their previously banned “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes” jersey featuring a map of Crimea going forward to include a map of Donbas.

  11. “Say what, Bill? Microsoft makes Windows 11 2022 Update available to more people.”

In case you were actually referring to me, you know I’ll drive this lil’ W7 box till the wheels fall off like I do my vehicles but for when it does crash and burn for the last time I’m wondering about resurrecting some of the old Pentium boxes I have for book ends on the shelf. Probably not that great of a replacement so there’s also a plethora of offerings around here for old laptops with more powerful engines in them for the Linux side of things. You just have to Clorox the heck out of them if you buy one.

    • “I’m wondering about resurrecting some of the old Pentium boxes I have for book ends on the shelf. Probably not that great of a replacement…”

What’re you doing with your computer?

25 years ago I was doing advanced video rendering on a 486.

If your computer is a ‘Net surfer and word processor, you can load *.NIX (to give you modern browser capabilities) and your boatanchor will run until the filter caps explode.

The biggernewerfaster gives you more speed. If’fn you’re typing, any processor speed which exceeds your typing rate is adequate.

There are, to this day, Apple II-e computers, slaving away in college research labs and meteorological outposts.

Honestly, for most users, a turn-of-the-century Pentium will execute every function they perform on a computer. Biggernewerfaster only really comes into play with gaming computers and those used for high-end video processing where time is an issue. I don’t know if he still has them, since he sold out to Dizzney, but for nearly 30 years, George Lucas’ “Industrial Light and Magic” had a warehouse full of 1980s vintage Amiga computers, which did all the sfx creation and rendering for every movie which utilized ILM for effects.

Where we get sucked in is when ABC Software comes out with a new gofaster that’s written on a Windows-11 API, which makes calls to Win-11 libraries, which don’t exist for, and cannot be installed or retrofit into Windows 7/8/10. If you want, need, or became infatuated with the hype surrounding ABC’s new software, you’re going to purchase Win-11. Otherwise, you don’t need it.

LINUX adapts to the software, then adapts the software to your hardware.

Windows creates new standards, to which both software and hardware manufacturers must adapt.

That’s why, when a new version of Winblows comes out, some of your hardware shits itself. The mfgr. has to write a software driver for the new Win version which allows their hardware to play with the new Win flavor and until they do, you’re dead in the water. When the mfgr. gets tired of the M$ BS, they stop writing drivers, and you buy new hardware.

LINUX drivers for hardware are written by the LINUX community, which is why I can install an Ensoniq audio card from 1999 in my new computer, and it’ll run in Debian, but won’t run in Windows unless I install WinXP. That Ensoniq card will run on George’s (ca. 2022) “Vanessa” box, out of the box and without issue.

      • BTW, if’fn you’re going to resurrect “some” of your Pentium boxes for potential *nix use, you should search “Beowulf cluster.”

I built one for SETI use back in the ’90s because I had a mess of 386 to Pentium computers that I took in, in partial trade, and thought they should be made useful.

  12. I don’t think Saudi is cozying to Russia.

The Saudi Prince started on Neom. The project cost was over $1,000,000,000,000.00 back in 2020 $. The $ lost 1/3 since then so… the city build out cost has got to be over $1,300,000,000,000.00 now.

The pipeline incident forced Germany neutral going into the nuclear exchange. They get the Ottos.

The U.S. traded Poland ICBMs bases for the gas line. Since Russia is too close to Poland for ICBMs they are probably moving there to thwart China or NORK. NATO/U.S. ICBM missiles will point from East to West and now from West to East.

Maybe the plan is Hawaii/Guam, etcs. sacrificed as 1st strikes for/will be given to NORK.

  13. Is there a calendar expert?

I read the West uses the Gregorian while the East uses the Julian.

In the recent past there was speculation around a global “experience” taking place on the 24th of September.

The G runs 13 days ahead of the J making today/tomorrow/Saturday September 24th on the J calendar.

    Is that right?

Get ready. The “experience” could be this weekend. Whoever is in $WMT at the time of ‘experience’ will buy all the food. $AMZN shoppers will be out of time.

  14. Daniel Yergen

G glad to see you reference Yergen. Daniel Yergen IS THE EXPERT on the oil/political dynamics of the Middle East. Has been for 3 decades since he wrote THE CLASSIC book (the Bible actually) on Oil, it’s history, and it’s ongoing econominc/political dynamics: “The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power” (c 1990)

If anybody is going to give the “Straight Scoop” about the goings on in the oil /political world of the Middle East Daniel Yergen is THE MAN.

Yergen truly understands the interplay of oil production/pricing using oil for political reasons and the political nuances (and shenanigans) of ALL of the major individual players in the Middle East. He has met them all … knows them personally … and like them or hate them he knows better what drives each and every one of them on the individual level than anybody else in the public realm.

Pay attention to what Daniel Yergen says … it is the straighest scoop you are ever going to hear/read about what is going on in that end of the economy.

(Oil IS the most important traded commodity IN THE WORLD. It is only because Oil is priced in Dollars versus something else, say shells, that the US Dollar became the world’s Reserve Currency. IF Saudi Arabia, the world’s “swing producer” moves to a multi currency, or even different currency for it’s Oil trade the status of the US Dollar as the ONLY real world reserve currency will disappear in a FLASH. Something to pay attention to since the Prince HATES Biden, the Climate Change activists, and thinks the US has been backstabbing SA for a number of years now)

      • I’m slogging through John Anthony West’s “Serpent in the Sky” and I do mean “slogging” since most of the time I’m reading it in that afternoon battling the usual mid-afternoon slump. It’s a re-encapsulation of R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz’ “Temple of Man” and deals, so far, with Egyptian society and their approach within their science and society to metaphysics and Nature’s Laws governing Man. His interpretation of Egyptian hieroglyphs shows how each and every one is a deep representation of some principle of science as they understood it and is also probably the highest development of artistic crafts in the ancient world given what we have left to study after Time and plunderers have taken their toll on the artifacts. He also has no problems with the idea that the earliest Egyptian dynasties were a remnant population left over from a previous advanced civilization as evidenced by the DECLINE in their crafts and technologies from the earliest times to the end.

        • Except that – as Graham Hancock and other competent journos in field hint, the
Egyptians likely came upon an earlier high culture and simply appropriated it and wrapped it in mysticism, not known how it works.

      • Yes, real possibility there. I think I read the Egyptians actually originated in the region South of Egypt and then moved into the Northern area. The question is, though, where did the European genetics come from in subsequent dynasties? Guess all roads led to Egypt before they stopped short in Rome later on.

    • that is actually old news.. I think everyone knew that the pyramid were eight sided.. and the caverns below are made so that they look as if they were earth batteries.. harmonics.. the sun’s frequency issomewhere between 20 and 20,000 Hz. Audible frequencies have to be generated by small objects; In the late 1970s, Hans Cousto, a Swiss mathematician and musicologist, described the natural law of the cosmic octave as the link between different kinds of periodically occurring natural phenomena, such as the orbit of the planets, the weather, colours, rhythms and tones. Using a formula he devised, Cousto transposed astronomical periods into audible frequencies.
I have been a supporter of harmonics for years and years..
It is like my grandson.. he was popping packing bubbles and it dawned on him.. that light defraction through the bubble.. so trying to keep it simple for a six year old.. I told him that is how photo cameral lenses work.. the image and focal plane ground and area.. he didn’t get it.. but I said if you take an ice cube bubble and cut it in half.. the light coming from the side will be defracted and be even no matter where the light comes from.. and someday that is how solar panels should be made.. the top glass should be pubbles.. the increase potential is what.. somewhere around twenty percent more power out of it..
I actually submitted that idea for solar panels on satalites years ago.. to increase the power output on a panel..
but I don’t know.. I will get him some prisms and let him play with them and see what it inspires in his mind.. its pretty basic stuff.. the electrons floating in our atmosphere are quite a bit and now with five g.. its even more.. we can harvest it.. tesla suggested we harvest it.. will we.. probably when it fits the business model they have..

      • I have seen ‘multi-bubble’ top sheets for small solar cells, and they do increase the output by focusing the sun into small ‘hot spots’ on the cell. I believe the limiting factor there is that they increase the heat load on the silicon that cannot be adequately dissipated, and the hot spots damage the PV cells.

    • I think all the Republican Never-Trumpers have been given their walking papers with the exception of Mittens. Just wish it was a long walk off a short plank in shark infested waters with ground meat in their pockets. 15. I tend to wonder if the OPEC cut is a direct result if the US blowing up NORD. ‘Teach you to blow up pipelines!’

I could find no link to confirm, but heard a rumor that Biden is very quietly talking to Putin, regarding an oil deal, and that this is what prompted the question today about whether Biden was going to meet with Putin at the G20…

Wouldn’t it be interesting if the creeper cut an under-the-table deal with Vlad? All those EU nations, Japan, Canada, etc. are anticipating suffering through a winter without energy because they’re boycotting Russia. If Joe, who drove the boycott, pulls a sneaky, it is entirely possible he will alienate every political ally we have left — for which I’d blame them not in the least.

Man claims he was paid $21,000 for 3D-printed guns at New York AG’s buyback event in Utica

A man who identified himself only as “Kem” saw people tweeting about using 3D printers to make guns for the sole purpose of selling them for big bucks at gun buyback programs, like the one the New York State Attorney General’s Office held at the Utica Police Department last month. He got to work on a $200 3D printer he got for Christmas. “I 3D-printed a bunch of lower receivers and frames for different kinds of firearms,” said Kem.

Then, he drove six hours to Utica.

  18. Ukrainian Official Confirms ‘Hunt’ to Kill Suspected Pro-Russian ‘Losers’

Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko told the U.K. Daily Mail in an article published Wednesday that Ukrainian “intelligence services” were killing Ukrainians suspected of collaborating with the Russian military “like pigs” in areas where Kyiv has pushed back the ongoing invasion. Ukrainian law does not protect collaborators and the government is actively encouraging extrajudicial killings.

  19. China Has Set Up Dozens of Unofficial Police Stations Around the World

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has opened dozens of unofficial police stations around the world, including at least three in Toronto, Canada, according to a September report from human rights NGO, Safeguard Defenders. The report has identified 54 Chinese overseas police stations spanning 30 countries

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-has-set-multiple-unofficial-police-stations-around-world-report

This is kinda neat — My understanding is the CCP snags a family member of an ex-pat who’s here (or somewhere else) on a visa. Ex-pat is escorted to the “police station” which is often the back room in a restaurant or laundry, where they’re Skyped or Zoomed to da motherland, where grandma is standing with a gun to her head. Ex-pat’s handler then interrogates him or her, and if the handler doesn’t like the answers, or the level of dedication which ex-pat shows, granny gets a sudden case of lead poisoning.

There are 25 known Chinese “police stations” in Canada and 11 in CONUS, with probably hundreds more the FBI hasn’t found, because they’re still trying to frame Trump…

    • “There are 25 known Chinese “police stations” in Canada and 11 in CONUS”

Canada is ahead of USA in some things Ray. As Jester might say “Good morning comrades.” Just after I read your post this morning, this headline popped up on my morning news site.

CPP (Canada Pension Plan) Investments’ ties with China underline the folly of playing politics with pensions.

      https://apple.news/AtHAyJUZFRnW3k7KBpN066w

Here are a couple of highlights.

“CPP Investments boasts that in the 12 months ended June 30, it voted against 65 directors at 35 companies who allegedly were insufficiently concerned about climate change and it helped impose climate-related disclosures or practices at 35 companies by voting the shares it controls. The news release accompanying the Sustainable Investing report also trumpeted CPP Investments’ expanded commitment to its “board gender diversity voting practice.”

“Despite its supposed commitments to social responsibility, as of March 31, CPP Investments’ holdings included $1.4 billion of equity in Tencent and $756 million in Alibaba, Chinese firms that have ties with public authorities in Xinjiang — the Chinese province where a genocide against Uyghurs and other minorities is taking place. Hong Kong Watch, a charity that analyses freedom and human rights, reports that: “Alibaba has produced facial recognition software that specifically targets Uyghurs and has helped construct the surveillance state and camps that over a million Uyghurs are currently detained in. Tencent and its subsidiaries have produced a number of bespoke technology products for the Chinese Government which, censors mentions of the Uyghurs and Xinjiang on the Chinese internet and surveils users.”

“How is that socially responsible investing? In addition to its Tencent and Alibaba holdings, as of March 31st CPP Investments had more than $100 million invested in Chinese state banks and, according to Hong Kong Watch, through its investments in emerging markets and Chinese index funds is exposed to a number of Chinese companies sanctioned by the United States, including Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology. “

This is my pension money that I paid into for over 40 years while I built my businesses and also paid into for each and every one of my employees. Little did I know what my pension money would be invested but I should have guessed. This 40 second clip of our Canadian Prime Minister in 2008 is a good clue.
