Nexus Texas, Housing Looms

[First of a two-part column today: Housing data in the next report about 8:15 Central]

We know – from first-hand in-country reports out of places like Costa Rica (where we have intelligent readers) – that someone is loading up South Americans and bringing them to the U.S. border to be part of the Invasion of America.

Which is being downplayed by elitist-owned media such at The Atlantic which seems to use highly inflammatory lingo (in stories such as The Supreme Court Has Itself to Blame for Texas Defying Its Orders) like “Texas’s embrace of neo-secessionist rhetoric in defense of letting children drown in the Rio Grande belongs somewhere on that same list” seems disconnected from Reality.

Despite socialist propaganda tactics – trying to reinvent the Civil War with specious analogies – the human flow is an invasion, not racism.

We imagine the propagandists, unable to admit Nazism was a huge plagiarism-based movement, just like Woke/DEI is now – are only concerned at this late hour because their elite enclaves in the Northeast are being subjected to the same human wave pressures that Middle America has been facing for years.

Right now, the corrupt Biden administration is breaking any number of Federal Laws by refusing to secure the border.  Second, last month more than 300-thousand illegals crossed into the US via Biden’s unsecured border.

We applaud the head of Border Patrol for trying to do their job. However, despite claims in Birden (sic) state media (NPR) The dispute between Texas and the White House over border control escalates.

With patriotic truckers, and their supporters rallying to return to actively enforcing secure borders, it’s a given that Texas governor Greg Abbott will not put up with a Biden power-grab at the (former) border.  Texas Governor Says He Has Plan to Counter Biden Taking Over National Guard. Abbott isn’t tipping his hand, and we can’t blame him.

Meanwhile, Biden’s reactionary socialist handlers are down one asset as Merrick Garland to transfer power during back surgery.

Still, the me-too echo-chamber liberal media is supportive of Biden’s inability to administer federal law, resulting in stupid grandstanding plays.  Like? Joy Reid Drops F-Bomb Against Joe Biden Live on Air (newsweek.com). Color us un-surprised.

Even law enforcement is seriously concerned as FBI luminaries starkly warn Congress that U.S. being invaded at border: ‘Alarming and perilous’.

Still, as long as commies and socialists hold the White House, America’s at peril.

It’s appalling, but it is what it is.

Higher and Skyer

With the market strongly rallying Monday, our Peoplenomics subscribers may be wondering how our Aggregate Index did, since we’re in-process of completing an Elliott wave “trading box” which, if you look at the upper right of this chart, you can see:

We might actually continue to move confidently even higher, since in that right-most trading box we can squint (just a certain way) and make out 3 waves up, so a minor pullback in a 4 through this week and a final thrust higher to fill the trading box and set up “whatever is next” from there.

For now, basis the previous (Nov. 2021 high) the picture could be seen as:

But we will block some time today and update the larger picture (which will change the Elliott counts) and offer that to Peoplenomics.com subscribers tomorrow.  I think you can see why we are only somewhat interested in short- term nibbles on the collapse cookie, for now.

Around the Ranch: For the Love of Feb

There’s a reason we like February so much – in fact, I can hardly wait for it to arrive in just two days.  The reason is simple.  Despite being Leap Year, and February having 29-days, anyone who works for monthly pay, or has a monthly retirement plan (like Social Security) will have the “highest paying month of the year” on a per/hour basis, in February.

Don’t know why, but that’s somehow reassuring.  Everyone will do better.

I’ve considered beginning a campaign to increase the number of months in a year to 13 (and decrease the day count) because it would be about as honest a way to cover-up inflation as hedonic adjustments to standard of living calculations.

But I’d be wasting my time.

There’s only one federal holiday – Presidents Day – in the month.  I never understood why Juneteenth was selected as a holiday. I was thinking it would have been easier (and less divisive to bring back Lincoln’s Birthday as a separate national holiday from George Day.

Some states didn’t follow, though, and state workers in retro-states still take February 12 as a State Holiday.  It’s beyond us while teachers in, oh, California, for example…kept Lincoln’s B-day.

“California Education Code Section 37220: The Monday or Friday of the week in which February 12 occurs, known as “Lincoln Day.” On the day that school is in session prior to the day on which schools are closed for that purpose, all public schools and educational institutions throughout the state shall hold exercises in …”

Seems kinda scammy to me that Cali teachers didn’t move this now “extra day off” to Juneteenth.  Of course if school was out, that would mean taxpayers getting more for their money during the school year. But hey!  Who’s got hard work and integrity anymore, right? Value for taxes paid and all that?  Naw.

Not in woke America, the used-to-be-land.

  1. George you have made it clear over the years that you are no fan of the British Royal Regime. I am someone who believes that things happen in threes. Three members of the Royal Family had medical treatment.

Recently King Charles went to Hospital for prostate surgery, he’s seventy five no surprise there. It went well. He is right as rain and will be back in action shortly.

Then there is the Duchess of York, who just announced she had successfully completed treatment for breast cancer and now malignant melanoma. As the divorced ex wife of the disgraced prince Andrew she has no Royal duties. It is interesting that she announced what she is being treated for.

But the surprising thing is the vague statements concerning the health of the very popular Duchess Kate possible future Queen consort. Her illness involved a 14 day stay in Hospital. She won’t be returning to royal duties until Easter at a minimum. There have been no clear statements, that I could find, of what she was treated for. People are speculating that if she wears long sleeves at Ascot then she is on ongoing treatment.

The interesting thing about the Royal family is that when someone gets really sick they don’t say anything or, lie by omission. They did it with both the recent Queen and her father King George VI. King George had cancer which they confusingly referred to as “structural changes in the lung” in confidential reports to the Prime Minister and was dead before the British public heard about it.

Why is this of interest? Because after the lockdown as a working member of the Royal family she travelled to various countries. What did those countries require proof of for admission of travellers?

What’s with Duchess Sarah Ferguson getting two different types of cancer so close together? Just think about it for a moment. It will come to you. As Scooby would say…. “ Rhut Row Raggy “.

      • Hmm, speaking of queens…

THE QUEEN OF THE GREAT DISEASE

        Nostradamus Sixain X (10)
        The Ambassador for a Lady
To his vessel will put the oar,
        To beseech the great Physician
That he relieve her of such pain,
But to this a Queen will be opposed,
Great pain before seeing the end of it.

Nostradamus and the Third Age of Mars, The Prophecies of World War III, G. A. Stewart, 2019, Page 675
Therefore, as I described in Chapter Seven, we know that The Physician of the Great Disease resides in Belgium. Queen Mathilde of Belgium is the wife of King Philippe.

      • Folks,
The private clinic in Marylebone which saw to the needs this month of the King and future Queen Consort resides upon lands formerly owned by the Knights Templar until 1312. Apparently King Henry VIII converted the northern reaches of the estate into his deer park which later became Regents Park. Nowadays the Marylebone landholdings are administered by one of the wealthiest noble families in England whose peerage was created by QE1 in 1597. The current family head is a woman who married a noble from the Kingdom of Bomemia. His family titles were bequeathed by The Holy Roman Emperor in the early 17th century.

The clinic homepage offers up that it treats 154 conditions. Three of the eight individuals pictured are caucasion.

        • re: Housing Looms
          feat: 1999-2023

          Folks,
I have just realized that the AI “fact mining engine” news site, citable dot com, that I referenced yesterday through browser searches appears to have been more or less disabled at the end of last November. Among other witticisms, it had an absolutely acidic sarcastic March(?) 2023 article about US funding $150 million in 2023 towards Jordan’s border wall near Tower 22. But, as we now know, the report noted that there weren’t/aren’t enough similar funds available for US border fences.

It would appear from public real estate records that in 1999 a modest, split level, single detached home was placed for sale on the market in the New York bedroom community of West Hempstead, first settled in 1644. The abode became headquarters for a web services company whose name translates from Latin as “someone” with a company slogan boasting “where it all comes together” with the predecessor of Citable’s web presence taking baby steps around March 2001.

Current public Google mapping reflects that in 2023, the home is in some need of exterior refurbishment. Interior window coverings are closed. Interestingly the front lawn area is blurred out. Also a ghostly reflection reminiscent of the PBC, LLC November, 2023 Jordanian image that would go on to feature in last weekend’s tower attack is present on the current public Google exterior image of what one imagine to be the home’s living room window.

        • Folks,
The current public-facing citable website offers a “support” ip address in the tos page. The publicly available site ipinfo dot io responds that the citable ip address above is a “bogon”.

      • The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming!

Well at least Mr Pooteeeeeen has offered heavy weapons to Texas to help defend against pedo joes assault on North America. Russia’s permanent representative to United Nations , Vasily Nehenzya said publicly “ It is important to understand by supplying weapons to Texas, Russia does not become party to the conflict”.. = Priceless!

So the parallels tween the kraine /nato-Russia and now Texas Russia/usa are perfect.

Natasha, we must assist the good people Texas…we must stop the STEAL.

That’s all the POS from Delaware EVER does is STEAL…other peoples words/speeches and ideas. That is all he has EVER done since HS. Indeed the sharpest bowling ball at local bowling lanes. FUCK the grouper in chief, can’t wait for a house to drop on him, now can we?

  2. George (and friends):

We used to go to the Windy City a couple times per year. Transit was easy and cheap (commuter line, no parking cost, no traffic, almost free) Now? Nuhuh. Chicago was dangerous ten years ago. Now it’s a pressure cooker.

The inflow of illegals is off the charts but, getting those walk-overs to settle in sanctuary cities and states seems an ironic and sweet revenge for the past puffery. You boasted of your openness now put up.

Having seen all the maps handed out by “aid” agencies (and, paid for on our donation dime) it makes me wonder: why not make maps for distribution on _our_ side of the border? Want the best benes: go here (by freeB score).

The line must be drawn at who pays for sanctuary foolishness. Don’t come asking for more donations or worse, tax dosh. Raise revenue (tax) and beg (donors) from your folk who blabbered superiority of purpose.

Dunna ask me for a ducat. Nope. Be you gov’t or agency or charity. I’m all out, sorry (not really).

Freezing rain and slush makes me avoid trek to office.
But how to appear busy for Mrs. E?
    Off to pole barn!

  3. “the human flow”

    That’s a good descriptor.

    “commies and socialists”

The Trabant 601 was the only choice and there was a 10 to 13 year waiting list. The Trabant’s build quality was poor, and it was loud, slow, and poorly designed.

    Look to Boeing –

“Boeing struck the deal to make the two new planes in 2018 with then-President Trump. At the time, Trump asked for the planes to be ready by 2021….”

“….the new threshold dates are September 2027 for the first aircraft and February 2028 for the second, a 36-month delay.”

And we know the distance between 2021 and 2027 is more than 36 months.

About 10 years from order date. Just like the Trabant 601.

    • It takes a long time to build a bespoke aircraft. That’s true for experimental and homebuilts too.

      • The planes themselves had already been built and were sitting at Boeing’s field, being held for delivery to a Russian Charter company that went broke.

They did need to add in the special stuff needed for the plane to be an AF 1 and redo the interior, but the planes themselves were already built.

Boeing’s “speed” with those new planes for AF-1 matches their speed for the “new” Air Force Tanker (767 airframe) which was to be fully operational by 2018 (first deliveries 2016), which Boeing is now saying “MAY” be fully operational in 2026. (of course for that contract, unlike the AF-1 where Boeing has already booked about $3 billion in losses with more to come, Boeing is on a Cost Plus contract so the MORE work that Boeing does the MORE MONEY THEY MAKE!!)

      • I’m not trying but isn’t there always a reason? Just like the folks who ordered the Trabant 601 faced delays spanning up to 13 years.

I don’t have the signed AF1 deal in front of me or anything but Boeing did agree to delivery to get the contract. And as Boeing has missed deadlines they post the new schedule.

I’m getting the material from http://www.defensenews.com

During 2018 Boeing agreed to a 2024 delivery.

In 2018, “Two officials said the President asked for the new plane to be done by 2021, the beginning of what would be a second term, which is three years sooner than the original plan of 2024.”

During June 2021 Boeing indicated a delay to 2025 now “a year later than originally anticipated”.
During July of 2022 Boeing indicated, “New Air Force One will officially deliver 2-3 years late.” (2025)
In 2023 Boeing has pushed delivery out four more years (2027).

I’ll go out on a limb and say they’ll miss 2027 for some reason. No way for us to follow-up though.

  4. Regarding the entities that are facilitating and organizing the flow of people from south of the border – think “Safe Mobility Initiative”. Both the US government and the UN are central to this:

    https://www.state.gov/refugee-admissions/safe-mobility-initiative/

    https://immigrationforum.org/article/explainer-what-are-safe-mobility-offices/

    https://www.oecd.org/health/oecd-initiative-for-safe-international-mobility-during-covid-19-pandemic-including-blueprint.htm

    https://twitter.com/pcexaminer/status/1751002671216312812

Of course, these are the quasi-legal routes and the entities facilitating them. There are many “economic migrants” and outright criminals of unknown origin mixing in with these folks who have absolutely no legal basis, and may well be carrying forged documents. There’s really no way to tell when there’s a flood of both illegal and quasi-legal migrants coming at excessive rates. IOM claims migration is necessary for “sustainable development”. Not all of us agree.

It’s notable that the Biden admin. has not seen fit to explain any of what they’re doing in sufficient depth to understand their motives – perhaps with good reason from their perspective.

    • The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming!

      • Wait. You say the Russians are coming twice in one day? What kind of ordinance are the Russkies offering that Texas doesn’t already have at it’s military bases, weapons depots, and assembly plants ? You Expats get all the best Russkie and C_A propaganda.

  5. (““Texas’s embrace of neo-secessionist rhetoric in defense of letting children drown in the Rio Grande belongs somewhere on that same list” seems disconnected from Reality.”)

think about that a moment.. letting little children drown in the Rio Grande…now ask yourself the ominous question…
    WHY?
if the president is truly being serious and a loving heart filled with compassion..then why…
just open the border crossings in California, Arizona and New Mexico..
instead WHY are they being directed at TEXAS and having to swim the Rio Grand and cross razor wire..

    • More ominous – and to my point, LOOB – is who brought the kids, pointed them north and why – at whose behest, insistence, and payment…
Liberals have shit-for-brains when it comes to cause and effects. They pander to the “taken in my effects” people – who don’t look deeper into how the “little darlings” happened to be swimming in the RG.
Oh, and no have drown that I’m aware of, except of parental negligence and abuse. Can’t write checks for stupid, can we?

      • who brought the kids, pointed them north and why – at whose behest, insistence, and payment…
        *************

George , thats a deep dark rabbit hole that you need to walk away from…

      • “More ominous – and to my point, LOOB – is who brought the kids, pointed them north and why – at whose behest, insistence, and payment…”

George Soros and Tom Steyer began this onslaught over 15 years ago. I honestly believe (but of course, can’t prove) that Mr. Obama took over funding through USAID and other USGovt NGOs in about 2011, so in essence, WE are bankrolling the operation.

Our border invasion is at OUR behest, insistence, and payment…

    • “if the president is truly being serious and a loving heart filled with compassion..then why…”

      HE IS NOT!

Mr. Biden has NEVER been known for either compassion or a loving heart. He is known for an intense loyalty to his family, which he runs as an iron-fisted patriarch. His loyalty is played off in the lamestream media as “love,” “compassion,” and other such gushy terms, but it is not, and never has been.

Biden is a selfish, self-serving, immoral, autocratic, narcissistic, egotistic, psychopath, and I’m disappointed in you because you know this, yet try to find ways to excuse him, or his behavior.

If he has a regret about those little girls drowning in the Rio Grande, it is that he didn’t get to take a shower with them before they went under.

The President, and the Administration are actively engaged in the wanton, intentional destruction of the United States. He couldn’t care less about the lives and welfare of any border-jumper, except how they can be used to cement those who think like him into power, permanently.

The mama & kids who drowned, did so before the Texas authorities arrived. They drowned because they foundered in the river and BP was so entangled, doing paperwork on the border crashers that they didn’t notice for an hour and a half. However, in today’s brain-dead world, it’s really easy to imply something, then have people mouth that implication as known fact, and start spreading it as same. “Journalists” report the invented “fact” which inflames public opinion, and if they’re ever called on it (which rarely happens) they hide behind their “protections” and print the rescission in the middle of the 4th column of the Obituary Page.

They are being directed at Texas to Cloward & Piven the only solidly-conservative State on the Mexican border in an attempt to break it.

  6. The U.S. Conference Board predicts a coming recession to last two quarters, but several economists disagree. They are saying that we will have a “hard landing” as too much attention and emphasis is on inflation and the recession will last for most of this year with unemployment climbing steadily to 6.5 to 7 percent by the election. The “fun times” corporations had during the Covid crisis is over., profits will start to shrink, costs will start to climb and layoffs will grow. UPS announced this morning that they are laying off 12,000.
The Magnificent Seven — Apple, Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, and Meta — have seen their fourth-quarter earnings per share revised up by 4%, however, the broader S&P 500 has seen a downward revision of 11%. A market this narrow is not a bullish market, regardless of what the headline price indexes are doing, If you remove those seven from the S&P making it the S&P 493 the market is actually down close to 15%.
The Big Tech stalwarts appear far overvalued and way overbought at this point, and their influence has driven an “irrational exuberance” similar to that of the early 2000s when the Nasdaq crashed about 80%.
The market is highly vulnerable to falling to new bear market lows, and most investors do not see this coming, as they are being manipulated and mislead by the persistent strength of a handful of Mega cap Tech stocks and the slowly falling inflation rate. They have already forgotten how much those stocks fell in 2022. I believe they will be reminded, very soon, how much overvalued Tech stocks can fall in a recession. As the recessions grows, unemployment will rise, consumer spending will slow. Consumers will not be spending their money on tech., but on food, rent, utilities and gas – the basics., and there will be a major shift away from mega-cap tech stocks. It is also possible that the GDP will fall to 1 %, or even go negative.
When will all this doom-n-gloom start, you may ask ? I see March / April / May – that 90 day window, when the bottom starts to drop out.
The above comment is a culmination of a couple of news articles and my own research and thoughts over the past few days. I believe that there are quite a few ‘investors/traders’ that “do” see this coming, but that they are being shuffled to the lower decks and ignored. I strongly suggest that you do your own number crunching – as this is not advice., just some “random thoughts from an old guy”. [ Who did just over 200% day trading last year.]
    – Note #1: I am still working the numbers on just how and when a possible deflationary cycle might just slip in and wreak havoc on savings and prices and the economy.
    – Note #2: None of the above includes any of the possible repercussions, or reactions to a major war breaking out. That scenario is a whole different spreadsheet. The enormous number of variables in this scenario is staggering !
    – Note #3: I have a vested interest in the economy tanking and the stock market dropping significantly. Which is actually kind of sad. In a way, I am hoping that a lot of people get hurt financially, lose their jobs, possibly their homes, or apartments, cars & trucks., maybe go hungry., just so I can make more money. Doesn’t that make me one of the bad guys?

    – “Stay Frosty !”

    • “. A market this narrow is not a bullish market, regardless of what the headline price indexes are doing,”

Joe Granville’s “On Balance Volume” indicator. Picks up a very narrowing top of a market that to outsiders still seems strong while under the surface it is deteriorating like mad.

Joe used to combine that with the daily and weekly New High /New Low numbers (ratio – charted) which he used to serve as confirm his OBV indicator analysis of a massively deteriorating market under the surface.

Some old indicators like Joe Granville’s OBV are still worth paying attention to imo.

    • If a coming recession is to last for two quarters, a questioning person would have to ask: So, what device or occurrence will pull us out of this recession? As I look at the developing situation, I fail to see an escape. As I ponder such a recession, I fail to see anything capable of lifting us out of it, short of a fairly major war or other sustained, armed conflagration. There’s simply no new, breakout technology on the horizon to spur growth & development and no way for existing tech to generate the impetus required to get us out of the ditch, once we start burrowing in. (IMO we burrowed in, in 2006, and except for 2018-2019, have been burrowing deeper for over 17 years, without much correction to our economic and social course.

      • Robots, Space exploration, AI, and industry returning but in nearly fully automated factories are some areas of potential growth.

        • Which require specialized, highly-skilled people to develop, and after they arrive, all the billions of people who’re displaced by robotics, AI, and automated industry will be able to rush out and buy all this new tech with the $100k-$400k jobs they have, where they’re doing…

          Never mind…
