Yeah – we need to piss test Wall Street. And the NYC Media Moguls.  A rally based on what, Friday, for crying out loud?

America deserves full disclosure of who’s getting what money (perks and comps) for doing such a horrible spin on the economy and blowing the stock market skyward with smoke and hype.

Seriously, to anyone who can read and speak of it honestly of the experience (except us), did ANYONE mention the total number of people working was DOWN?

Seriously – a rally based on losing 319,999 workers is a cause to light ’em off?  Say WTF?

What kind of bullshit cheerleading of the sheep is being played on ewe?  You ever wonder?  We dive into just that.

We even put up the government’s own darn data. Except for one thing:  We keep standing (*and sitting) for it.  Damn shame and proof for voting doesn’t keep out the crooks.  Who don’t read bills and who don’t understand cash basis accounting.  We’re on the government equivalent to the EBITDA disaster of Internet Bubble 1 (which brought us the Twin Towers).

    Another question. If a single mom working as a waitress, in order to survive financially, takes on a second job as a house maid and a third job as an Uber driver, have 2 jobs been created in the government statistics?

    • Three jobs were created. The maid job, the Uber job, and the “estimated growth of new staretups” in the CES Biretrh Death Model.

          each guy got a dollar back.. so each guy paid nine dollars total..

          9+9+9 = 28+2=29 who got the missing dollar

          So I get it the democratic way to pay off the debt.. print up eight trillion divide that into seven hundred million people and you get 560 dollars per person to pay back the debt.. LOL LOL LOL LOL its all in the magic numbers.. now give everyone with some african american blood a five million dollar bonus.. we are all set..

        The expansion of the monetary base though the creation of money or credit is inflation. We don’t use money. We use notes and credit to create the notes. When the debt ceiling is raised the monetary base is expanded by authorization of credit.

        The video cites late 1800’s. We had a different monetary system back there. That doesn’t mean their monetary base didn’t expand.

        Look to 1/24/1848. That day the California gold rush kicked off lasting into 1855. All the gold being discovered was the monetary base. By default M1 expanded.

        Today credit can bailout a pension plan to keep M1 expanding.

        The late 1800’s didn’t have the option.

        Unless I have it wrong.

      consider that for a moment.. if like reparations.. they just gave the money to Me and the neighbors.. and everyone got the five million dollars.. then the price of bread would skyrocket.. so how could they print like a maniac and bread not reach the thrity nine million dollar price tag… they kept wages low.. so the average person making ten dollars an hour cannot keep up with the flow of the printing.. bring in a plastic card.. here use plastic card.. we will only charge you forty percent a year to use it .. so people went to plastic.. last week they said that credit card debt had reached more than a trillion dollars.. as fear of the unknown came up and prices had to keep up because of the increase in cost of materials etc.. people used plastic to keep their quality of life the same.. inflation at four percent a year.. was not to affect the bottom seventy percent of the population.. it was to take the wealth of the top twenty nine percent.. to propell the one percent to newer heights..
      Now we are at the end of plastic.. as we go down the road to Hell and Zimbabwe and Argentina.. people can’t spend the used up plastic to keep their quality of life.. the only thing they can do is hand people the money as in reparations to everyone with african american blood in their DNA… once this begins we will see prices spike in what seems as if Over night action.. its a fine balancing act.. where money was originally designed to represent something of same value.. a pound for a pound of grain etc.. it is now just worth the blue sky.. since everything that goes up.. it must come down.. people with a million in the bank two years ago will discover that it is only worth half of the value then today.. a seven hundred square foot house that twenty years ago sold for thirty thousand.. a mansion that forty years ago sold for a hundred thousand is now valued at a million or higher.. the thirty thousand dollar home is now worth a quarter million.. in 2014 bread at the store top dollar was two dollars a loaf.. bottom ( with less flour more soda) bread was 0.65 cents a loaf.. today the sixty five cent loaf of bread is two dollars.. the two dollar loaf of bread hovering six bucks.. soon to be six million dollars a loaf.. and heaven help us if Xi just says.. to hell with the USA no goods are to be sent to them.. and lets dump the us bonds.. zimbabwe here we come..

  6. Friday’s ‘wow-rally’ closed above my August 2022 high – which trashes two of my charts. I am still a little ticked that I got out too early in my trade. I did pretty well., but I could have done VERY well. .., oh, well………
    Being slightly despondent I drove the ole Studebaker across town to my one of my favorite shops and broke a long standing rule – no sugar – and bought half a dozen donuts. It was National Donut Day – and I just couldn’t ignore it. Ate two of those home-made delights and got a sugar rush that lasted over an hour. Wow !
    Off and On over this weekend I am going to build a whole new market chart – since we are in a whole new area / market. Lets see what the math has to say about this hot-mess we are in.

      • I bought my “Ole Studebaker” [ 1939 ] as part of my “EMP Preparedness Survival Package”.., many years ago. At least, that was my mental excuse. It was a total frame-off restoration., but as they started striping it all out, they discover the engine, transmission and rear axel were total garbage – it had sat for too long. So., I have a hot-rod Studebaker. With the Ford Police Pursuit motor, all chromed out, four speed matching transmission and heavy duty rear end. Drop the clutch on this puppy and you will just sit there burning the tires off down to the hubs. It looks like a restored ’39 Studebaker., but it ain’t.., but it is also an “Ole Studebaker pickup” even with the upgrades shocks, it drives like a small angry tank ! ., but with twin glass-pacs it sounds damn awesome ! [ twin four barrel carbs – bear to keep balanced – twin battery set-up., floor mounted starter.., etc.]
        – Four., maybe five months ago I saw a similar, 1939 Studebaker pickup for sale at an auction – it sold for nearly three times what I paid for mine. The ’39 is distinguishable by the spare tire encased and mounted into the fender near the passenger door.

      • About the Avanti, when was growing up in Salt Lake City the local Studebaker dealer took an Avanti off the lot and out to the Salt Flats. That car set several speed records for the time.

        • The original Avanti had a supercharged 289 V8 under the hood, and would hit 180 on a straight with a little tweaking, with zero alterations. It also had the world’s most ergonomic “cockpit” (which is essentially what the driver’s seat was). Architects and designers studied it for years. NASA used it as the inspiration for the pilot’s seat in the Gemini and Apollo capsules. Today’s automakers are still trying to best its ergonomics. To this day, I doubt anyone has…

          They’re funny, funky little cars, and most car-people either passionately love, or thoroughly hate, their appearance. Screw the appearance. If you ever get the chance to sit in the driver’s seat of an original Avanti, do it, and just note the view, and the touch and feel and placement of controls…

  8. According to JPMorgan [ Insider Intel.] “The Fed” will pause on interest rate hikes in June.,[ in less than two weeks] and for the next two, or three months., then start cutting rates by the end of the year.
    Granted, they have a lot more info and better contacts than an old guy living in small town America., but from what I can math-out, The Fed needs to raise interest rates. We, as a country, are still far above the 2 to 2.5 % ‘acceptable’ inflation rate., and if they pause here inflation will not go down., and with one cut in interest rates, inflation will come roaring back and into the double digits. Just like what happened in the ’70’s when they tried the same thing.
    The Federal Reserved has screwed-the-pooch since the very beginning of the inflation gorilla.., way too late and way too little and I don’t think they have enough bananas to get that gorilla back into it’s cage.
    .., but, like I said.., I do not have the same data that they are seeing / using.
    .., we’ll see.
