Monday on a Tuesday – cool invention! Is this a great country, or what?
Because of the “breaking” natures of events, the submarine search is better handled by outfits like Sky News.
Housing Vs. Interest Rates
Just dropped by the FedGov is today’s report on Housing Starts.

What gets to be the “interesting calculus going forward” is how the Global Economic Systems handles raising interest rates on the one hand, while there’s already the specter of a recession in Europe.
You may remember last week the ECB raised again. Now we’re seeing stories like UK Headed for Recession if Rates Reach 6%, Economist Says making the rounds.
This is not to predict a recession will show up, although in our view, a “hard landing” before the year’s out is an odds-on favorite. For now, as I have been warning for several weeks, downside risks are mounting.
While the rest of the world is reading how MarketWatch weekly recession gauge drifts lower, other stories – in the political sphere today – are going to the idea that Joe Biden still clings to enough horsepower to wander his way through a recession now, but a slap down of the economy in 2024 could make him a one-term president.
Market Rally?
The stock market hit its pre-holiday high about an hour into Friday’s session. The rest of the day was spent in a gentle sell-off. This morning, futures are pointing to a lower open.
Think about what you’re looking at here: The plot of our Aggregate Index since the all-time high of everything Nov. 8, 2021. As you can see, a Big 1 Down and then a nice 2 Up which – with softness at the open today – will continue “walking the trend line.”

What holds our attention is that when market “walk a line” it can mean the Jury really is OUT on what the future holds.
Sometimes, you’ll see the market waffle around the trend line (*and in either direction, too) before busting higher or lower. Overhead trends – strong resistance on the way up can turn into significant support levels when stocks retreat. Or, failing to manically move higher, the bottom REALLY falls out.
We should see resolution this week. We’re sitting on the sidelines with our knitting, for now. But with BTC holding above $26,800 a move higher by the close after buying back positions after driving down early prices is done is an interesting outlook.
Day trading, remains in our view, is a better deal than Las Vegas or Atlantic City.
In the gambling meccas, if you lose, you come home broke. If you lose in the stock market big-time, you can get a tax-loss carryforward offsetting future gains. Not our favorite comp, for sure, but better than nothing.
OK, valet parking is fine…
Holiday Leftovers
Americans could sure use a little “chill training.”
- Man arrested after 3 people wounded in shooting outside South Carolina nightclub
- Milwaukee shooting after Juneteenth holiday block party leaves 6 teens wounded, police say
- At least 22 hurt and one dead in a Juneteenth celebration mass shooting in a Chicago suburb
- And up in anti-gun Washington state 2 dead in shooting at Gorge Amphitheatre campground, sheriff says.
All of which I’m sure will be blamed on guns, not hopeless corporate marketing practices keying on sexual, gender, racial, and other personal shortcomings while flaunting the wealth of others. Or the social media empires that ensure any whacko can rise to click-prominence because social turns outrage into money – a very twisted, magical, and yet uniquely (sick) American invention.
Speaking of social, there’s growing speculation about Twitter’s future, now: Mark Zuckerberg goes in for the kill as Elon Musk’s Twitter bleeds ad dollars. Still no sign of people figuring out that FB is just a way to monetize egos…don’t mind us.
Whacko-speak? Naw. Just a little firmer grasp of reality: Number of teens who ‘don’t enjoy life’ has doubled with social media (nypost.com).
One of the points in my coming book The 100-Year Toaster is that we should have multispectral impact statements before the release of any new technologies. All I see out of social media so far is more government manipulation and a few more fat cats to shake down.
Were we running short, or something? Jeez, people!~
Planning the Future
We have mixed feelings about the SecState’s soiree with Xi this weekend. One side of this is Five things we learned from the China-US talks after President Xi calls a surprise meeting with Antony Blinken.
What’s not reportable is the real context of the meetings. I expect Xi may have said something like “Tony, we’re planning a peaceful takeover on Taiwan. If you get in our way, we turn off your supply chain and we win. Tell Joe. Bagman, too.”
To which we expect Blinken prolly had to say “Yes, sir.”
Not that we’re out of touch, exactly: Secretary Blinken’s Visit To China Is One Giant Mistake – 19FortyFive.

War Wagers?
Mongrels doing mongering: Putin tactical nuclear weapons threat is ‘real’: Biden. It wasn’t so real before we spent $5-6 billion to cast out an elected government in Ukkraine circa 2014… Repeat the R.O.I mantra.
Pile On (and Kick When Down( Dept: Joe Scarborough Torches Trump Document Defense to Bret Baier. Along with Fox News analyst Brit Hume bashes Trump’s classified documents case defense as ‘incoherent’. One reason I learned to hate the “news business” is because of the continuous content paradigm.
News (for thinking people, both of us) ought to only cover useful, new bits of information which could conceivably be used to improve our days. Instead, I’ve been reading rehashed and repackaged Trump stories at the clip of dozens per day. It’s crazy!
Seriously, look at news for what it is: Mostly useless except for the economics, weather, and new tech tools. 90-thousand “Shades of Trump” stories just doesn’t make it. SO boring. The Thousand Channel Wasteland is here. Poo on every screen. Enjoy it.
Signs of the Times
A remarkable headline in Forbes which shows our age around here: Improving Gen-Z’s Workplace Experience Through Digital Transformation (forbes.com).
Let me give you some context:
- Anyone over 50 is likely aghast at the idea of a “workplace experience.” Work was where you went to do what you did. Mimimal spending for maximum results was what business used to be. Pre ESG mania.
- Anyone who tinkered with code (even BASIC) before 1980 has to be shocked that digital is already so “old hat” it needs to be transformed.
Some editor at Forbes must love that concept. Couple of days back it was Why Leading Brands Need To Invest In The Employee Experience For Deskless Workers (forbes.com). Apparently, Forbes has a whole Forbes Human Resources Council.
ATR: Name Your Screen
How many screens in your house?
Counted 15 in our place. (That’s not counting the phone.) A few laptops were closed.
In keeping with my notion of being able to reach peak personal productivity when you have a “workstation” for each task, I decided I need to name a screen for all the major interactions in digital realms.
- BigBox in the office is “Work”
- Electronics bench screen is “Repairs” *(usb microscope, too)
- 3D and CNC is simply “Make”
- The big screen in the living room is “Entertain”
That’s some of them. The most important computer of all beginning now is what?
- Video editing computer (in studio) is now named “BUY.”
What I’m tinkering with is the erecting some “deliberate barriers” to digital life. Since people tend to over-buy (depending on dopamine levels) move ANY undesirable computing function to a different display.
Having to walk 100-feet to purchase on “BUY” should end my “impulse purchasing” inclinations. If you have to walk somewhere to “Buy”, you will likely find you’ll be spending a LOT less.
“No online purchasing on this machine.”
Can I live with that? Can anyone, anymore?

All this talk that justice will prevail is nonsense, the corruption, illegal activities, Jeffrey Epstein, Hunter Biden and such will as usual, mean nothing.

The UFO? stuff is more mind games with the populace.
Same old same old.
In a years time all this stuff will become irrelevant.
I was listening to the radio preacher, Brother Stair the other day and think he was broadcasting from 1997. He’s dead now.
Brother Stair has been convincing us Iran is going to attack and the U.S. will lose 15 major cities. Then he cited an Art Bell call from September 1997.
Getout- sound effect- Art Bell the frantic caller

Before computers, most all tools were made for very few purposes — tools were highly specialized — such as hammers, CNC milling machines, box brakes, two-way radios, etc. Tools mostly did only one thing.
Computers were intended to be multi-function from the start. Word processors, data “sifters,” games, mathematical operational workpads; and as time played on, and they became more powerful, they could be used as artwork canvasses, audio editors. and video editors. (Not to overlook numerous uses by astronomers, other sciences, and industrial production control.)
In brief: they became General Purpose Electronic Devices, undifferentiated EXCEPT for whatever software they were running at the moment. In an important sense, the device IS much more the software than it is the hardware.
Thank you, Captain Obvious…. So what?
Currently, cellphones are perhaps the best examples, but due to their now extreme portability, they now approach being a personal “Tri-Corder.” A personal and personalized General Purpose assistant and measurement and communications device. It (a cellphone) can now do damn near anything you can think of. Text comms, “Apps, “Electrocardiographs, FM entertainment radios, multi-format recorders — the uses are endless.
This _IS_ revolutionary — because it crept up on us gradually: it has arrived generally all but unnoticed.
The subtlety is that we ALL have one now in nearly constant proximate Presence. Networked, and A.I.ed, — what are they becoming now? Something New?
I look for pedo joe’s doj to charge as misdemeanors all his federal crimes , foreign agent, bribes and any other major crimes. He will take the soap on the wrist , keep his ill gotten gains, and pedo will pardon him. Pedo will say , hey , it’s only misdemeanors no big thing.
Slap , ducking spelldeck
good thing it wasn’t Trump they’d be screaming treasonous activities from the highest towers broadcasting it on ever msm media ..
as for the pedo.. he’ll just from his laptop and the many porn sites he’d be in prison gathering mm’s off of someone else’s schlock for the rest of his life..in the wastelands one guy got caught with five or ten and is in serious trouble the pedo had thousands and thousands and most of family members and ex presidents underage daughters..
Oxygenated water and the microbiome.
I have done a lot of reading and it’s not quite as simple as it seems on the surface. Chug-a-lugging lots of oxygenated water may or may not be good.
The gut microbiome is a very complex system and is set in motion from the time we are born. It thrives on both aerobic (oxygen loving) and anaerobic (oxygen hating) bacteria. These 2 types of bacteria have different functions in different parts of the digestive system from stomach through intestines.
One of my pet peeves has been the misuse of anti-biotics and the damage they do to the microbiome system. Depending on the anti-biotic, they can destroy one or both types of gut bacteria. They are often mis-used to treat viral infections. The virus may not be destroyed but the gut bacteria are. Replacement to healthy levels can take a long time and cause many other health issues in the process.
It seems that we need both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in our gut in some kind of balance for good health. A good diet and moderation in what we ingest may be the proper answer. George has provided some good information on this. While oxygenated water may make the aerobic bacteria happy, it may not be good for anaerobic bacteria that are just as essential and working on a different digestive process.
I would always caution getting information from a source that sells the product they are analyzing. There are enough good scientific studies to get good independent science information from.
This article is a bit heavy and lengthy but discusses in some detail the points I made above.

I still don’t have a good handle on the structured water science as it applies to health.
The least acknowledged tool of personal health and diagnosis is your own personal gut feelings! If you listen to your cravings, you can suss out what you need to eat, or abstain from. If you listen to your gut regarding other things, you’ll sense what you need to do or not do with regard to drugs, activity, sunlight, personal schedule, etc. I hurt my foot badly one day – it was inflamed and two toes felt like gout. NSAIDS helped some, along with resting it, but a little introspection led to my remembering that I’d weed-whacked using a newer tool with an offset blade guard. I rested for a bit and did other stuff, and a few days later I weed-whacked another area. The next day I had the same inflamed left foot and pain, so I did other activities – trimming trees, etc. The foot again resolved with the NSAIDS. Then I got an angle grinder and cut off part of the string guard to make it symmetrical I was able to use the weed-whacker both left and right handedly, with my right foot forward instead of being forced to cut partly sideways with the left ball of my foot carrying most of my weight. I was able to use this thing any way I wished to without any contortions. The problem never came back. I do have a hairline fracture in that foot from dropping a trailer hitch on it, but that was an old injury from a year or two ago.
The moral of this story is that you need to know your own body in detail. A medical type could ask all kinds of questions and do an X-ray, and then fumble around trying to understand you as a “patient”, while propping up his own ego. Ultimately, he’d have no constant feedback from his gut regarding YOUR body. Medicine may have a place in some folks lives, but I try to minimize it in mine. Yes, I studied medicine in depth, but the practice of it is always trying to understand and prescribe for someone other than the one with the gut feelings and feedback. I’m sure for most folks, it’s best to have a balance and good communication between a humble medical practitioner(good luck), and an aware individual.
Regarding structured and/or oxygenated water, I’ve not yet investigated it, though it’s a very interesting area. No doubt, the “correct” implementation will be different for everyone.
“I still don’t have a good handle on the structured water science as it applies to health.”
– I don’t either. There just isn’t enough ‘science’ and research being done., or been released to make a decision. .., yet.
I do what I do just because my mother use to do it.. filtration because I lived in the wastelands of Virginia and green crap would come out of the tap..then our community thirty years ago told everyone that the water quality said that there was to much uranium and arsenic in the water.. luckily the government standards changed and now it’s determined to be safe..
LOOB. just make sure you always distinguish between filtering out inorganic materials like uranium and arsenic, and organic pathogens. They can both kill you but in very different ways. Most filters don’t work for both.

Ask me why I’m vegetarian…
If your diet is plant passed – You may want to check into the horrors of Glyphosate.
Ok @C, why are you a vegan? Hopefully, not because you are an animal activist. Most of us go a little crazy around the “chickens are people too” crowd.
I became a vegan several years ago. I was building up plaque in my carotid arteries and was told it could be helped by avoiding meat and dairy products. The doctor in charge told me that eggs were worse for me than anything else I could eat.
After a year, I lost 30 pounds but also lost a lot of my good health. Seniors more than anyone, except perhaps top athletes, need a high daily protein intake as muscle loss increases as age increases. In addition to muscle loss, vitamin B2 deficiency as well as other deficiencies is prominent in vegans and has to be supplemented.
One day I woke up and realized that my arterial plaque buildup was not coming from animal fat but SUGAR. I went back to eating fatty fish like salmon, lean cuts of poultry and laying off the pastries, high sugar foods and processed meats. Since then, annual ultrasound analysis shows decreased plaque and bloodwork is the best it has ever been.
Your point about antibiotic use is well taken but my suggestion is to find sources of animal and fish farming that do not use this antibiotic method and not eliminating all meat from your diet. Been there, done that and lived to regret it.
I got off the sugar highway too (sugar feeds cancer)….I’ll eat halal meat, fish oil omega 6’s.. Dairy, fake meat, nuts, tofu legumes for protein.
Appreciate your well written reply, I take vitamins and extra fiber.
There was a post the other day – I can’t find it – about how a guy kept notes on the inside of his match booklet.
– I knew a First Sergeant in the Army that did the same. He smoked cigars, big, fat horribly smelling – cigars [ what else does an Airborne 1st Sgt smoke?] ., and he kept notes on the inside of his match booklet. He relite his cigar all the time, so he was constantly reminded – without anyone else knowing. I thought was pretty smart – though I didn’t tell him that – didn’t want him to know, that I knew one of his “tricks”.

Currently “Deutche Welle” has revived a baseline October, 2022 BBC image of the First Son wearing a fox-in-the-henhouse grin accompanying then-news of there being allegedly enough evidence to lay charges.
“France24” has opted for a somewhat loftier soprano note with a sombre February image of President and First Son descending the stairway from AF1 at Syracuse, NY. Under overcast skies the pair had donned shades enroute to pay last respects at the latter’s namesake Uncle’s service. The image was captured by an AP photographer whose title page boasts a team celebrating victory beneath a downpour of Bud suds.

I find it interesting that in those areas with the greatest amount of gun violence (Democratic controlled large cities) the enforcement and penalties for infractions is constantly diminishing, or law enforcement itself is being diminished.
In my opinion one of the major contributors to general violence ,and by extension to gun violence is the increasing prevalence of violence in the media, television, movies, streaming, games, and even in the news. blood and gore sells. Not only does this normalize violence, but the population becomes desensitized, thus allowing acts of violence to become ‘more acceptable’. (that is a terrible statement to have to make.) Maybe it’s time to hold the media responsible for a good part of our social woes and develop legislation to limit their ability to glorify violence and gun violence. Take the killing of the evening TV screen.
Oh… wait , I forgot , the media is protected by the first amendment. Can’t go there.
Ripping out the teeth of law enforcement is nothing more than appeasement toward the criminals. Diminishing the punishments for criminal behavior is that appeasement in action.
As the ranking of crimes and punishments gets lighter and lighter, the dumb asses running the crime haven cities claim their methods of ‘cleaning up the city’ are the most successful because they remove or lessen the category of crimes down to misdemeanor level. So when there is no law deciding what is criminal then that behavior disappears from the books or is no longer a major crime. These liberal courts and judges let murderers walk out scot-free or on their own recognizance and congratulate themselves for bringing down the crime rate.
When criminals don’t fear the punishments or the system that dictates them, you are their fair game.
Eventually we’re going to get to a “Death Wish” sorta world. I hope when it happens, the character playing Charles Bronson pops the presiding judge, after serving justice upon the baddie. If not, he’d just be treating the symptom…
Did a little digging.., and Lumber is still 12.25% cheaper than this time last year.

be back after summer. i got a plane to catch.
i was told to follow the stars, like the wisemen. because im a wise man. on the road to shambalah.
before i take my flight. i will tell you a few things i seen since my time in the valley of enoch. they are 3 paths presented at the cross roads between september and march.
one is a man i work with. who also works another job. he has a woman with a gambing problem. he refuses to let her go. he works 2 jobs and now lives in a tent in a campground. if he would just let her go. he would live a really comfortable life style and own a beautiful home.
another is a Man i work with who has everything a man could want. healthy children an 8 bedroom house etc etc but he works 6 days a week. his wife works 5 days a week and he cant aford to ever take a day off.
another man i work with he sold everyrhing. bought some land, built a cabin up there, bought some pack muels, couple heads of cattle, grows a big garden, all vehicles are older but paid for, hunts and fishes every day he is off work. lives off the land away from everyone. only works to pay his taxes and buy more stuff for his property. no cell service, no internet, no power, runs everything of solar and wind.
3 differnt men. all the same economy. all working at the same place. all of them good men. all of them hard workers. all of them make the same amount of money.
3 differnt paths. same economy.
me? im not attached to any place or thing. i am free to come and go as i please where ever i want to go on the road to shambalah.
i got love, love enough to spare….

Remember Stanley Meyer’s water powered car? They killed him because he wouldn’t sell out.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1671124378476584964
Just for LOOB ;-)
thanks.. Now Herman Anderson and his water powered car.. he drove it for years and years…has something like fifteen hundred patents. and gave them all to the US govt.. which you can see on his patents.. that a lot of the things that everyone called not working or just a silly thing are actually on a lot of our military equipment as standard …
when I first got interested in it was with the NAZI in germany.. in the USA we made hydrogen cells for the airplanes and tanks.. along with alcohol water injection systems.. things didn’t get ugly for us with them until they started to make them themselves.. I had a 72 ford custom 500 that had an experimental unit on it.. I didn’t know what it was and sold it to a race car driver.. now I wished I had kept it.. take bloom box.. oh yes.. the US govt.. backed out of a contract.. so bloom put it up for anyone to buy.. almost overnight faster than they covered over the satanic pedo group and the laptop from hell they took that off of the market.. the secret was a solid electrolyte .. urine coverts to hydrogen faster and with less energy.. and lets face it they can’t outlaw peeing….
Now was that what the nazi secret was to their hydrogen systems.. hit a hoffman cell with a mhz decavitator and you get a faster exchange.. the pulse then adjust it with the alcohol water mist to cool it..

https://www.bloomenergy.com/bloomelectrolyzer/?
https://youtu.be/zxyKlTDHAyU
https://youtu.be/9fkikPii7AU
of course we all havce heard how stupid this all is.. yet in the forties and fifties and sixties.. TEXACO had contests on energy assistance..and had cars made out of steel and iron that got eight hundred miles to the gallon.. in 1978 a gentleman drove across the USA to sit in front of congress on ten gallons of gas.. it was televised.. he of course was arrested as soon as he left congress and his car confiscated.. the methods are there.. it is possible..
an old friend of mine that worked for the boogie men on ts projects was heavy into hydrogen.. he at first wanted to just use it for space flight.. then made the mistake of wanting to share it with the general public open source.. he got a visitor that destroyed his lab and took all his research scared the hell out of him and kindly told him he was to never touch it again.. and he didn’t.. he dropped it like a rock..
these things are possible .. the big scene is you cannot have free energy .. that is why they put these energies out of commision right away..
https://youtu.be/g59cGTswGCI
just imagine free power.. it is why we are not harvesting energy from the air around us.. yes there is even a law that was passed stopping it..
that is why tesla and his power towers sending power to everyone was dumped.. and why there are no solar towers at every substation starting at the furthest from the power generation plant and working back.. it is why they didn’t want to legalize solar energy for home owners and even today.. power companies are stopping people from putting them in..
https://youtu.be/MF8lq-cAVlE
https://youtu.be/9AwFaX0kdFc
oh yes the govt shut down the water car museum.. as soon as people started to stop by it..
you can build one for yourself if you want.. you just can’t sell it or give it away.. free energy would shut down the whole economy.. none of that fits the present business model

yup pass me another beer gentleman I need to light the house for a quarter of the day LOL LOL LOL
