Ok…got the letter today from the power company..he said at the meeting there would be a substantial increase…in the monthly news letter they said they still haven’t figured a rate..but they had a %62 rise in operating expenses… my fifty year rant of A solar tower at every substation and handing out a grid tie system to every home and business… to work as nodes..( for our state equipment cost would be around the cost of one or two of those huge three megawatt wind turbines…) my suggestion isn’t to stupid after all…
https://chatgpt.com/s/m_6abc2ede19148191b11b7b14ef7c6486
What I get a chuckle out of is …a tower like that could never last standing…lol

instead of 3 megawatts the potential power production would be more..Of a distributed node within a larger interconnected system. If you want genuine operation when the larger grid goes down during a storm or other catastrophic event, you’d need islanding protection, controls, and usually some combination of battery storage and dispatchable generation…yup a disconnect they already have implemented to cut demand during peak hours..
instead of trying to make one giant power plant the only resilient point of production and control, you create thousands of smaller points of generation and storage that can be coordinated….controlled and maintained each could be isolated during times of region failure….
I look at it like this George,
The new 2026 Honda Civic Type R does 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds.
The new 2026 VW (4 motion) Bus does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.
IF you are going to prance around with a fancy spoiler and a Type R badge like you are going to be the new big star of the next fast and furious movie? You best not get beat off the line by a bus load of old hippies on their way to the flea market to sell Tie dye T-shirts and Dream catchers.
Until we meet again,
I Win with God within
lol lol you forget Andy we are all aging now I’m looking at a toy like that from my physical standpoint….when my brother was showing me his Ferrari… a beautiful car… I must have had a puzzled look.. here he is showing me his pride and joy…and I asked..where’s the Crain..at our age you need something to raise and lower our butts in it..and the foot peddles are designed for small feet and small butts..

if we go to just sit in the car that rides the ground…
getting in is kind of like this…
https://youtu.be/nzJkci89BeI?si=ECVVuXM0YVabruMY
Then to get out..you kind of have to roll out on the ground or floor…My brother in-laws had a great n the ground wonder even at a young age it was difficult getting in and out..he bought his as a chick magnet when he was young…
now if you really want to give a statement…get a tractor..either orange or green they cost a few times more than a cheap plastic car with no leg room..lol..
I took the wife’s car..another one meant for smaller feet..to get an oil change..a salesman hey wanna see what we got in.. it was a 4 year old Bentley..24,000 miles on it..sticker still in the window..almost $300,000.00 …it was sweet nice..hand rubbed dash.all the perks..it had the floor space of A yellow cab marathon still had the seat protectors on the back seat..sweet car..he said they had to put new brake pads on the front..
we drove to Wal-Mart parking lot.. I asked him dam nice..( 3 mpg highway) I wonder what they will get for this thing..he laughed and said offer me fifteen grand and its yours..fifteen..yup they just want to get the cost of the brake pads…they had to fly in mechanics to change them..people that can afford something like a bently,Cadillac, Mercedes etc.. dont want a used one..its all about appearance.. I thought real hard on that bently..I thought it would be hilarious to just say hey lets take the bentley..but the wife would never let me park it in the garage..months later I asked him..where did you finally sell it..he started laughing and said they suckered someone in Atlanta..
nice for a young one..or if you want to say hey lookie see what I have..just not really a practical thing to puts around in..at least it sure wouldn’t be practical for me..or someone that has a family to worry about..absolutely no room in the backseat..lol lol
LOOB:
The Tesla Model S Plaid uses all-wheel-drive and generates 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.
• Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds
• Quarter Mile: 9.23 seconds).
• Top Speed: 200 mph
It is an SUV — no crane necessary.
Speaking of SUVs: I’m thinking about shopping for a new (used) one. I borrowed a Wagoneer last week. I’m guessing minimum 500 angry Palominos under the hood because it was the quickest automatic-transmission vehicle I’ve ever driven — and it’s a 6000 pound tank! ‘Just puttin’ it out there, because the Wagoneer and Genesis GV80 (SUV) are on my initial short list. I do not like the “knob job” shifter. Aside from that: Not bad…!
Well.I’m bad….I read it wrong..I took him saying there was going to be a significant increase and the %62 as what was increased..after reading it a second time its how much of our monthly bill that goes directly for the generation of the power..
My daughter just asked me about my pasta sauce…
1 jar pasta sauce
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup grated Parmesan ( use smoked parmesan…I use 1 cup)
1/2 tsp garlic powder ( I use three cloves of garlic )
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning ( I use 2 tbsp. of tones spaghetti seasoning)
1/4 tsp black pepper ( I use a tad bit more)
Pinch of red pepper flakes, optional
1 tsp sugar, optional if the sauce is acidic ( nulls out the acid..I have used up to 1 tbsp)
1/2–1 cup pasta water…depends how thick..( I use beef broth)
browned hamburger or sausage or chicken you decide..
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 chopped up onion…( before everything a stick of butter or 1 tbs of oil an 1/2 stick of oil.. brown the onions till they are farm sized with the minced garlic added towards the end…)
we call this the million dollar pasta sauce….
I have to make banana pies for tonight for the residents..I always add cream cheese..had the daughter pick some up..she asked me about how I made my pasta sauce..then she asked why I get so much..one package mixed in five pounds of hamburger gives you one juicy burger..I like a spice called burger magic so that goes in it to..then press out the burgers and freeze them..
I use quite a bit of cream cheese..
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes
Boil and mash potatoes as usual……
While still hot, beat in 4–8 oz softened cream cheese, butter, warm milk or cream, salt, and pepper….( I use cream instead of milk)
Optional: roasted garlic or chives. ( cheese melted with butter then poured on top yumm)
what my grand kids call fluffy Eggs…
Whisk 2–3 eggs a little milk with a big spoonful of cream cheese, butter, salt, and pepper….
( I nuke mine in the microwave about three minutes with a tablespoon of butter at the halfway mark whisk the eggs..then finish )
Chili hamburger…
Brown ground beef or turkey with onions and spices as usual.
Near the end, stir in 4–6 oz cream cheese until melted…..What you get is a richer, silkier chili or taco filling that coats chips or tortillas perfectly. Great in nachos or burrito bowls too….take that mix it with Velveeta and milk you get a great dip…add chili’s if you like zing or not..
My wife does the Cream Cheese Mac & Cheese Boost
Make your usual cheese sauce, then melt in 4 oz cream cheese along with the cheddar (or whatever cheeses you use)…..her mac and cheese is always gone..
Cook low and slow, stirring gently.
Result: Custardy, rich eggs that feel gourmet with almost no extra effort.
Agava syrup wine……This is called Mexican pulque, but it captures some of the agave-fermented character without any distillation…..
8 lbs of Ababa blue syrup at Costco….
5 gallons of water
champagne yeast..
This is a fun, low alcohol experimental ferment. It will never be identical to village made Mexican pulque because your buying agave syrup that’s made and not fresh.., but it captures some of the agave fermented character without any distillation….and tastes like tequila.. ready in the same time it takes to make beer.. you can use 1 tbsp. of kefir scoby.. as a yeast to give it a little more probiptics..
Chocolate zucchini cake….
