Now that I’m officially old – and the whole country took a day to mark the occasion – we can get on to the important business of doing???

Nothing.

Yeah. This is one of those weeks when about the only thing to report on will be the “hatchet jobs” when political whozzits and whatzits will all be whipping up the poor sheep who just need a freaking rest.

Tour of the Grindstones

We haven’t – yet – formalized our Old Man’s Shop to include a “Sharpening Station.”  The pieces are mostly there” Electric chainsaw sharpener, a circular saw blade sharpener, couple of grinders.  Even a “Chainsaws Sharpened” banner I couldn’t resist. But no Foley-Belsaw Sharp-All rig, though I keep thinking about floating some bids on eBay…

Instead, I have decided to leave hatchet jobs to the New York Times.  Summarized in this report: Navalny Called Trump Second-Term Agenda ‘Really Scary’ in Final Letter. If these reports are to be believed, Vlad Putin – he who must be feared – ran a slack-jaw prison operation.  So loose that Navalny was keeping up on US affairs from in the joint and writing letters about what a risk Donald Trump is.

Um…this has all the hallmarks of an ideal “attack piece.”  The Author of the purported letters is dead, the letters have not been give out to anyone for verification (that we know of) and the NY Times has, in our assessment, become more a political organ for Junior Marxists in Training with rabid support of Open Borders, and all while working both sides of the aisle in the Gaza mess.

This is not to charge that the Times is outright making things up. Obviously, they don’t have to. Agencies and ex-Presidents know how to “work the system” to wag the dog, just so.  Which leaves us hopelessly skeptical.  A big name dies and here we see him coming back from the dead through “letters” to bash Donald Trump. Reeks of being a “Three-letter Agencies Lazarus gambit.” But that’s only an opinion.  An opinion that is sometimes sharp.

War, Paper, and Creepy-Crawlers

“How is the war in Gaza going?” you ask.  Well, Israel is still “on plan” to kick out Palestinians who were angry neighbors, anyway.  Take the contested area which means getting the gas fields offshore.  This is the world’s worst landlord-tenant dust-up in years.  Clash of resolutions at UN signals continued war in Gaza amid US caveats.  Notice how no one is talking about how the Bidenistas are selling arms to both sides of a future Turkey (Türkiye if you are an erudite liberal who can’t spell any better’n you think) versus Greece war?  Whirled peas, anyone?

“What about the Other war, then?”  Yeah, sure: Russia says U.S.-Russian woman arrested over suspected treason for helping Ukraine’s armed forces.

Meanwhile, America still has the best government money can buy: Biden’s reelection campaign raises $42 million in January, adding to historic war chest. Why at that fundraising rate, he’d be able to pay off a Trump-sized political bankruptcy in just 10.3 months.

No outrage that it wasn’t an EV? Oh my God, how could he?

Big Money to be made working-over America’s working people. Capital One and Discover in mega credit card merger. Credit is not “free” but how many people can postpone spending until they can pay cash and screw the money-changers?

Greed and Free Lunch:  Bitcoin is still under $53,000 today.  Meanwhile, we will say it again: Governments do not like competition from “free money” and eventually, it will be stopped, we figure.  Being a fool, I always bet on the side with an army, navy, air force and IRS.  We also noticed EU remains skeptical of crypto investments despite Bitcoin ETF fever — VanEck Europe CEO. Hmm, must be another financial realist, huh?

Bad as things are, we are still of good cheer.  Big Pharma, or at least Seagram’s, can get a few things right.  Not like It’s All Coming Together by All Falling Apart ,  which ought to be obvious.

Industrial Hate Levels

Ah, racism. The Divider’s greatest tool.  A look this weekend led me to? ‘Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home. As NPR headlined it: “The first Black ‘Peanuts’ character finally gets his origin story in animated special…”  Great. But is this really progress?

Ideology may have staged a coup on Wikipedia.  In the interest of science this weekend, I read the Wiki entries on Black Nationalism (here) and then compared the tone and bias in the write up on White Nationalism (here).  You talk about dis-equality, OMG.

Here’s how Black nationalism begins:

“Black nationalism is a nationalist movement which seeks liberation, equality, representation and/or self-determination for black people as a distinct national identity, especially in racialized, colonial and postcolonial societies. Its earliest proponents saw it as a way to advocate for democratic representation in culturally plural societies or to establish self-governing independent nation-states for black people.”

We noticed the word “ethnostate” doesn’t appear in the Black entry. But it’s mentioned three times in the White nationalism entry.

Now contrast that with how White nationalism begins:

“White nationalism is a type of racial nationalism or pan-nationalism which espouses the belief that white people are a race and seeks to develop and maintain a white racial and national identity. Many of its proponents identify with the concept of a white ethnostate.”.

More interesting, since word-frequency analysis is one of the tools of future forecasting we employ, is counting the word “supremacist.”  The word appears five times in the Black nationalist Wiki entry, but in every case, it is preceded by the word “white”.

Unsurprisingly, once you know how the battle for hearts and minds is controlled via language, you may observe that the Wiki entry on White nationalism uses the word “supremacist” 25 times and in all but two instances the word supremacist has the word white (but never capitalized) in front of it.

Apparently, the language choices embed a message that if you are a Black nationalist, you’re not a supremacist but if you are a White nationalist, you must be. Um…discriminatory writing?

Doing this kind of research, I reluctantly concluded that Industrial Racism is still a growth industry.  In other words, it’s a big business model. Chairs of departments, subgroups within HR departments, and whole government agencies, oh, and private and nonprofit legal practices.

Seems if you accept that all people are equal – and live it – then you must be attacked by race partisans on one side or the other.  How dare you to not play their game. It’s the same approach used by the sexual preference and gender benders, too.  Just happened to do the research comparison over the birthday weekend.  I’d been pondering “How is progress doing, now that Ure 75?”

Industrial racism, open borders – all look like bridge economic activities until the next population die-off comes along. Disease X is what the Davosians are planning, according to reports. In the meantime, the rush to nuclear war with Russia will kill the requisite number of people to get us to accept government overreach well past Covid. It will be the Biggest Ever National Emergency.  You bet.

Hate is the most durable industry in world history. Everyone’s put in victim classes because we no longer have large, all inclusive, something for everyone National Goals.  Sadly, we can’t even lay that at the feet of our mis-named “leaders.” For they too are nothing more than another Industrial Monetization. Up for sale – both parties, all sides.

The closer we eat our way to the edge of the global Petri Dish, the worse it’s going to get, sorry to say.  Until the flash point.

Sorry state of affairs, but that’s what happens when countries lose their unity and focus on God and core values, hard work, freedom with accountability (no mail in crookery, thanks) and genuine competence-based equality.

Some way to kick off the week, ain’t it?  Age 75 is, in a manner of speaking, like sitting in the good seats, just toward first base behind home plate.  Watch the game long enough, and you’ll see the signals being called.

Our hosting provider for our https://ultra-make.com website had a database issue so that site had some down time Sunday. Should be back to normal operation now, though.  More testing will follow.

And a new toy I didn’t buy – because two 3D printers is enough (*for now). But Creality has unveiled their new “core XY technology and it promises even faster print speeds.  Not on Amazon yet, but I’ll give you a heads up when it arrives.

Great sunny days this week. Might hit 80 too. With no air conditioning needed for another month, or two, we’re selling almost 3 kilowatts to the grid at times. The higher output panels aren’t here yet, but rewiring old solar connector can increase panel output a good bit.

If you saw the movie Tim’s Vermeer, take a look at those inexpensive projectors you can pick up on Amazon for about $70 on sale.  Great way to project shop plans onto sheet goods and reduces layout time to however long it takes to pencil trace a layout.

I have lucid dreams and for years would wake up at 3/15 in a cold sweat.. have the dreams where a blonde impish woman would come get me take me into a room filled with windows and point at a storm coming from the NW…. then I would flip to cities devastated and people cold sick . money being burned in barrels to keep warm..

Alls well here South of Cleveland,solar panels are making electricity and a day of catching up! Me and Rebel the Dog watched the little neighbor girls get on the bus , did our morning neighborhood patrol (2.5 miles!) and now it’s time for the Morning Snooze! The Big Truck is parked till I feel like running it again or paying taxes! And I thank the Lord up Above I’m not driving in New York today.     Diana will announce her retirement at work today. After some chores, I head to the feed store for supplies, and later this afternoon our red headed bunny Vet Makenzie stops by to check on “The Squad” Thelma and Louise the 2 Pyrenees and Diana’s bodyguards Starsky & Hutch the Anatolians. I’ll have to help with the boys since Diana will not be here. They will let Makenzie walk around and pet them but I’m not sure about if she has to administer injections. The last time they didn’t like it at all but if Diana had ahold of their harness she could do whatever she wanted to them.

    ten years ago ten of the companies renting office space paid almost 2 billion dollars rent . the taxes trup paid miniscule. his whole life everything he has is tied to his business.
    so consider that for a moment. here is a guy with prime real-estate in one if the biggest cities on the planet. the money his companies pay out for infrastructure and taxes is probably a good chunk of the tax revenue the state and city receives.. the companies that lease from hid empire probably pays the prime share if the operating expenses of the whole state of New York.
    a business is like a truck driver. it doesn’t matter where you park the dumb truck your business is elsewhere.
    now here’s a guy that is basically being paid his income trying to steal an expire from one if the largest business empires on the planet.
    a cot and a hot plate efficiency ten years ago was 3 grand a mont..like San Fran that has employees making a quarter mil a year qualifying for food stamps.

    the kids like to have a cook out in summer and spring etc.. the grandkids like to watch movies.. while at the va they had a complete set the projector screen and blue tooth speakers and a stand for the projector for a hundred dollars.. needless to say I got one.. Now the kids can watch tv outside while everyone else is yakking..

    • I like the idea of a projector, but the available bluetooth devices are all wimpy beyond belief. In fact, modern speakers seem to be that way. I want to be able to blast sound sufficiently loudly that I can hear words and music anywhere in the house, and sometimes even outside. Those devices seem to have left the market these days, except for pro gear.

      • And PRO gear can be had for under $25 in the surplus market. I must have a dozen or more of those $1000-$4000 projectors (dunno if they work, but they were nearly all “working pulls”), about a third with fancy EQ-proof mounts, and I doubt I have $100 in the lot. The sellers use them as filler when they’re auctioning a pallet of computer stuff and the pallet doesn’t look full or busy enough.

    • i’d check your library. my library has a “library of things” with all sorts of stuff tools, projectors, PA systems, screens, laminating machines, all sorts of stuff. Love the library, even if it is a socialist experiment!

    • I’ve lived in NYC under duress when idiot dickhead Dinkins was “mayor”. It was unsafe to walk the streets unarmed. I lived in the greater NY area at other times and found the place inimical to any kind of business endeavor. I did manage to make a good income for a while but eventually got out while the getting was good! That was decades ago and I still can’t stand the place. I won’t even visit except as a favor to friends.

    Employers pay this company to help determine what federal and state benefits the COMPANY can get from hiring a particular person as an employee! This can be one of those unstated reasons that a person may not qualify for a job.

    I find that the entire process, especially “drug screening”, is a violation of human dignity and have never tolerated it. There may be some justification in safety related jobs, but if the person is competent and trustworthy, then drug use, if any, would appear to be irrelevant. I could pass a drug screen if I wanted to, but I don’t, and I don’t expect to need a job anyway. I just believe that freedom and dignity are the core values of a decent society.
