FWM (Fed Week-Monday) – Retrograde Water Heater

The financial pseudo-drama kicks off tomorrow morning, by which time we expect the market will be declining ahead of the Fed rate decision Wednesday at 2 PM (back there) time. In the meanwhile, the corporate propaganda median (CPM) will continue cranking out Trump hate, climate scare, and pimping war on all fronts.

Reader Hank earns our gold star for sharpest Urban mind with his observation that:

“I walked past the TV just in time to hear the out-of-context ‘Trump Clip” where he says: “If I’m not elected there’s gonna be a bloodbath…” The NEXT four words that were deleted are: “…in the auto industry”. He was talking about Biden sending auto workers jobs overseas.”

Hank is not alone: More honest (less biased, full coverage media) mention: Biden Communications Director Michael Tyler goes on the show of (former) Biden Press Sec Psaki to spew disinformation: Tyler says Trump’s bloodbath remark was an “endorsement of political violence”

Which is NOT what the LFM (lying effing media) screamed. Malicious editing, anyone?  No sir, and after more than a decade of being a dues-paying member of the National Association of Newspaper Columnists I decided to let my membership lapse this year.  Sure, partly because I am 75 now. But, also because I cannot be a party to an industry (yes, dear, “news” is an eyeball trafficking business) that can’t tell where the real news is.

Hank’s observation about crooked media isn’t limited to DJT.  The same “scared eyeballs are loyal views” mentality extends in all directions.

Collectivization 2.0

What should be obvious to *both remaining) aware people on the planet is that collectivization – whether we’re talking Stalin’s failed death-laden attempts, or the current wet dreams of the socialist government alliance all fail in the end.

The two dynamics (well understood by America’s Founders) are that:

  • Absent personal tangible benefits from most excellent work, the process of “storming, norming, and conforming” eventually takes the excellent workers and drops them back to a lower mean of group performance. because groupthink and group-act are very real.
  • The second reality is that Government does a generally poor job of improving people’s lives.

On the personal excellence level, the Black people I know who are quickly advancing in their lives are those who believe in metrics.  Remember the grad school Organizational Development courses?  “What gets measured gets done”?

When we stop applying metrics, and substitute victimhood, lower-averages, and any kind of “special” – what do you think will be the result?  As the saying in the upper regions of competent medicine still believe “When you’re having a heart attack, do you want the person treating you to be the most diverse and deserving who has “special consideration” in hiring to show up to save your ass?”  Nope. The metric is (once upon a time wasmedical competence.

All of which leads to stories about why collectivization 2.0 will not work, but why Collectivization 3.0 will.  Notice, please:  The globalist war on farmers will fail no matter what. If globalists win then farmers go bankrupt and there’s no food. If globalists lose then they’ve only succeeded in upsetting farmers.?

Even in the Alt. News sources, though, there is a child-like belief in such fairytales.  You see, the longer, strategic game just ahead lays out like this:

  1. Collectivization 1.0:  Stalin, various governments and agencies, and it all blows up.
  2. Collectivization 2.0:  This one (government allied with sock puppet groups like the WEF) will steal collective ownership of land.  Inefficiencies will make sure it doesn’t work.  But then the bureaucrats and the UDS (Ultimate Deep Staters) will swindle the simple-minded socialists, hold title (and control all the money) so they end up owning?  (ready for it?)
  3. Collectivization 3.0″  Which is then government and the Ultimate Deep Staters finish the swindle, own all the means of production, and build a small membership Ruling Elite.  The Wefers and the Climateers (along with everyone else) will be offed by Disease X which is in the planning stages right now.

It’s not a bad plan, as Satanic, anti-human, limited gene pool, confiscatory, rights-squashing, death-promoting die-back plans go.

Worst of all (from the remaining rational perspective) is mixing up lies and agenda’s which is even more-in your face then ever.  In stories like NY reparations panel members blame whites for climate change – ‘White Folks Messed Up the Weather = Black Folks Save the Planet’ – Climate Depot.

Here’s the utter truth of things, near as we can figure.  The Extreme Partisans are running a game.  It sucks in all the extreme victims.  Most of the country is pressured to fall into gradients in between. Some very small fraction of information-seeking deep thinkers (who hang out here and don’t buy in to the group-think control mechanism called “social media”) see through it.

We are the watchers. Aghast, appalled at the apparent.  We’re the grown-ups in the room with enough memory left to recall the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and to know that a corporate-socialist government alliance has two agendas going.  One to concentrate and distill power in a number of vertical enterprises (like energy and food, for example) while the other will then be the population reduction/elimination when sufficient automation is in place to run a long-range ruling class over “machines” (and AI).

You just haven’t gotten the memo yet.

Creepy Crawlers

Pissy and paranoid this morning, eh, Ure? So, when does all this go down?  It’s in play right now, you corporate stooge!  Supreme Court takes up dispute over how far government can go to combat controversial social media posts | FortunePower from the People!

Gee, imagine that: Putin re-elected.  Putin gets 5th term in election that was never in doubt, after harshest crackdown since Soviet era.

Which means no holds on Russian behavior even as France goes saber-rattling:  After winning elections, Putin makes new threats (romaniajournal.ro).  Consensus around here is France will make the first move, across non-German routes into the Ukraine fray.  Which would explain why Nostradamus made such a Big Whoop about Macedonian lands (think Serbia) in his long-ago seeing of Future. Keep an eye on G.A. Stewart’s website as the puzzle pieces slide into place.

Meantime, the mainstream keeps getting things backwards: If Kyiv fell, would Moldova have been next? | Responsible Statecraft.   Pay attention: Putin will go to Odessa first, landlock Ukraine, and THEN propose new border for this rump state remains.  Sill doubting? Monetary Madness

All of this morning’s headlines, while horrific for thinking people, still support markets. Because in great loss and much fighting, old goods are destroyed and opportunity for future (re)growth profiteering is amplified.

Oh, and now that it’s clear to all that Global Governments are just “making up money” and the “little people” (for now) can do so, as well, let’s keep the hype going, shall we?  Top 5 Cryptos That Might Explode 1000% in the next 30 Days – CryptoTicker

Bitcoin, meanwhile, has been having a hell of a time with the $68,000 level over the weekend.  We don’t offer financial advice, but it appears to us that an Elliott five waves down in the short-term may be in play but we’d kinda look for lower tomorrow – which would dovetail nicely with a decline of stocks, too, as finance tries to influence the Fed.  But in the early Monday slog, we’re seeing a complex fourth wave work out which could see some early buying possibly petering out tomorrow to join a pre-Fed slide:

Stocks, as we figure it, could also be set up for an early rally and then a decline with the Fed looming. As our “Wave Projector” sees things, based on an Aggregate of multiple U.S. markets, we are looking at something like this which wordifies as “In the likely last trading box of the extended 5 of the larger macro 2 up.  Which may – still – have enough hype and lies to go over the top of the red trading box here before the spring sell-off begins:

Not as visible in this next chart, but you can see the all-time high on an inflation (and public debt to the penny) adjusted basis in this view.

The old idea in Elliott was that “Inflation didn’t matter.”  Which, we see supported in our work, has been replaced such that yes, inflation DOES matter.  Especially when we look at Inflation being most accurately reflected in the Treasury Public Debt figure, not the “showy” BLS and DEA put-ups.

A lot more on that coming Wednesday.  But, it’s a long time till then, right?

Around the Ranch:  Retrograde Water Heater

I should have seen it coming!  Damn, I feel like a Fool!

Remember in one of last week’s columns, I was talking about the work on the solar system here?  Which for some reason had started dropping out the Aisle3 panels in bright sunshine?  Essentially, putting out too much juice…

Look through my past columns here and you’ll see that Retrograde and I are old pals.  The three weeks before Mercury goes retrograde is my Personal Disaster Window.  The worse mine is, the worse the general retrograde news events turn out globally, too.  But that’s another story.

The thing I missed?  Well, I’m a Pisces – fish.  But my Retrograde Experience was already showing me no, no, there would be plenty of electricity, this time.

In all my hubris “I got this…“) I thought the solar panels was it./

Nope.

The Hot Water Heater was.

Elaine discovered it was leaking early Sunday morning.  Which meant a trip to Lowe’s on Sunday and…

Holy shit!  Water heater – reasonable quality – 28 gallons (there’s only two of us) was $700!!!!

Now, I will grant you that on the surface, this may seem like a bad thing.  But actually, The DUDE (or Universe) takes very good care of me.

You see, if the contractor had come out last week and repaired the soft spot in the floor, we might have missed the leak.  This morning, when he shows up with several sheets of 3/4″ plywood, to add to the dozen pressure-treated 2-by-6’s, to go along with the new water heater, it will be a “one and done.”

Still, there is a critical lesson here.  The electrical problem was not the only problem for this turn of “tests and difficulties” of Retrograde.  the Pisces aspect (fish, water) was also served up as well.  But – and this is actually pretty cool and graceful when you consider everything, Elaine and I have been talking about re-doing the bar area, which is on one side of the soon to be replaced hot water heater!

It’s all going to work out.  Sure, no column on the Ulta-Make website, but that site will have to be given away, or sold-off, looks like.

Here’s something you can do in your spare time if this all sounds like woo-woo to you.

Write down the 20-worst things that have happened in your life and the approximate dates these things happened.  Now, put into Google a simple search like “When did Mercury go retrograde in (year#).”  Now compare and make notes.

I think this will explain why knowing when retrograde is, and once you figure out your personal offset from Retrograde (mine is roughly 3 weeks early) the sooner our views on the extreme credibility of G.A.Stewart’s Nostradamus work, and my consigliere’s observation (as a 40+ year rtax attorney/CPA) that “there’s something, not sure what exactly, but it sure seeming to be cyclical and track human affairs and major financial collapses…”

Over on one site, for example, I found that Mercury came off Retrograde in 1929 when?

Began Retrograde: Sep 25, 1929 23°21’ Ended Oct 17, 1929 08°02’ 21d

The Dow Jones hit it’s all time high before the Great Depression on September 4, 1929.  On Sept. 25th, the Dow was 352.57.  On the 17th of October it had fallen to 341.86.  From there it just kept falling.  Not ending collapse until…naw, we’ll be pushing numbers around on the Peoplenomics side on Wednesday morning ahead of the Fed.

But the retrograde (from the Astro-Seek.com site) is coming April 1 and will last through the 24th of April.  Which means our outlook for a decline through most of May this year, does seem to have some astrological basis..

And like (now retired) Arch Crawford used to famously say “Millionaires don’t use astro-econ, but Billionaires do…”

I don’t normally – being one of those “What gets measured gets done” people. But my solar panels whispered, and the wet floor yelled at Elaine Sunday “Pay attention to what’s in from of your face, you idiot!”

Much more depth in Wednesday’s Peoplenomics report.  This is just what the freebie seats in the outfield get to peek at.

Write when you get rich (or if your water heater whispers to you),

  3. This suggestion arrives a day late and $700 short, but I’d recommend replacing your 28 gallon tank water heater with a tankless. We went with a tankless propane water heater 15 years ago and have not regretted it at all. No more running out of hot water, propane bill cut literally in half, and no tank to leak on the floor. You might prefer an electric one since you have plenty of solar power to run it. I added 3 solar panels to the roof and 3 AGM batteries in the garage to run the electronic controls for our gas heater, and that works great.

    • I’d second that one. I went through a learning experience with tankless units and wore out several in their infancy. The electric units were unreliable 15 years ago – they are hopefully better built today. The natural gas units are quite good, and I’m using a super cheap Marey unit from Fleabay (NOS) for the last 12+ years. It works just fine, with a battery igniter for the Natural Gas pilot. It’s probably more than I need, and every two years I need to replace a D cell – big deal. I barely notice the consumption, though it’s just me here. Whenever I take a shower, it’s a long shower – if I’m going to actually get wet, I might as well enjoy it. The unit should probably be flushed to remove any deposits(gyppy water), but I’ve not done that yet and all is well. Of course, YMMV. I have no idea if this unit meets “codes” – it seems to be safe enough for me and that’s what matters.

G.A. STEWART: Since 2008, I have noticed many blogs referring to the inordinate amount of bloodshed and carnage that has occurred throughout history on April 19th and April 20th. I pioneered this research, and it first appeared on my website in 2008.

    • I’d noticed this with the Okla City event back in 1995. I was driving across the country at the time and was in Indiana. Since then I’ve always been wary of that pair of days. Paradoxically, I have a good friend who shares her birthday with Adolph Hitler.

    • Solar water heaters..tank wrapped in shiny, silver, insulated blanket goes on da roof between and above panels, at least it does at Big Mommas Beach House (BCN’s jungle/beach home). Tried tankless system, mounted on wall in garage, MBR-en suite and Kitchen on 2nd flr, did not cut Mustard..still there, replaced with old school water tank..till solar install. Also a battery issue with tankless, as the Tropics are hell on Batteries.
Back here in outer ring suburb of Philly, electric heater water tank..theres an app for that comes wit wifi enabled ground/floor sensors. Only need to have a leaky water tank heater once, before they become mandatory with install of new replacement tank…hello Mr Narrator !

    • Good idea with the glass door glass, but think twice about PEX. PEX is rather sensitive to UV and sunlight, and you’re concentrating the energy into the PEX. You might consider using old school black polyethylene which is a nuisance to terminate, but generally unaffected by sunlight – even here at high elevation. This idea would also work as a pre-heater for any type of water heater.

    • on the tankless… I have had a tankless water heater for over 20 years.. I love it.. I did put in the little tankless water heaters they use on the space station those ate nice to about the size of a small book.. but those suck power ..they are meant for DC current not ac.. it didn’t take long to swap those out for a Bosch natural gas or propane..you won’t go wrong with it..ours handles three bathrooms the kitchen and laundry quite well..if you have a long distance put a recirc pump in.. that helps in how long for the water to get hot.

  5. “Pissy and paranoid this morning, eh, Ure? So, when does all this go down?” NO need to wait, IMHO —
Demographic pictures it all in vivid colours. ;-(

  6. “Meantime, the mainstream keeps getting things backwards:” They refer to countries instead of naming the ‘few on the top’ that have issues with themselves, and with each others. ;-(
Most people in ‘mentioned countries’ want to continue living in peace with each other, IMHO.

    • absolutely.. speak with anyone from another country and you will hear the same concerns and fears that US citizens are saying..
Their concern is to survive from day to day..

  8. I concur with the tankless water heaters. They’re the only way to go.
We got back late Friday from the trip to Cedar Oak Lodge I promised Diana to kick off semi-retirement. While only about 4 hours away it seemed like so much farther. Youngest son/house sitter only called 2 times asking where things were and to say it was creepy that the boys would follow him around everywhere he went. We tried picking one of the shows on the strip but ended up going to a fancy Italian place and took Diana to shop. She was looking at some watches for our oldest son’s upcoming birthday when the lady behind the counter asked if it was for her dad and looked at me. She said no, that’s my husband. Kaboom! Icy stare. Queue “The Immigrant Song”. The rest of the trip was just wondering around shopping and acting like a couple of 20 year olds back in the room. When we got home and carried all the bags in I went out and was looking across the pasture at the pond where Barney is buried. I was thinking about how we would go about relocating and what a chore it will be. Diana came up and said she kind of missed him too. I didn’t say anything but she told me she doesn’t think we should move yet. This is home. True but after what I saw on the trip, it’s something we have to do maybe sooner than later. Everywhere you go there is a big TV hanging from the ceiling with shit spewing from it. It may be too late already.
    Stay safe. 73.

    • hallmark movie channel, curiosity stream, Gaia, history and discovery..Disney plus..retro tv

      • Thanks. Diana used to look at the Hallmark channel but we have just gotten to where we don’t spend a lot of time in front of the screen anymore. I’ve been listening to podcasts more. Too many projects not enough time. I don;t know how George does it for all these years.

  9. I had no idea there was a sacrificial rod inside the water heaters that needed to be replaced every couple of years depending on your water. My neighbor pulled his out in his 2 year old water heater and it was near gone. Our houses are the same and these rods are about 50″. Supposed to help the tanks themselves last longer.
If you have hard water and have a water softener you need them more often, which we have.
Picked one out on the jungle website and arrived in a day. I got the one that is foldable since I dont have the 4′ needed from the top of the tank to the ceiling.

I did know about draining it out , I do that yearly but that sacrificial rod was news to me. Least I know I’m ignent on some things, wonder what the others are. Rekon I’ll find out soon enough

    • Ideally you have a magnesium rod. They’re the best. A lot of newer rods are made of aluminum. They work – sort of, but I’d much rather have magnesium in my drinking water than aluminum.
Mg++ is more active than aluminum, so it may not last as long, but the tank may last longer.

In many cases, removing the sacrificial rod is a bear. It may not even be possible without damaging the heater on old tanks where it was never replaced.

  10. $700 for a 28 gallon water heater! You had me concerned because we are probably about due so I checked the web real quick and found a 40 gallon Rheem electric water heater for $409 at Home Depot. I hope yours is gold plated!

  11. Hot Water heaters like everything else are thru the roof in price. Lots of choices, al depends on the individuals needs and type of feed you have available, electricity, propane, natural gas, diesel. Tankless has merit, BUT like in my case the innlet ambient water temp is to low for it to bring to a decent temp as my well water is 42F year round. I would have to install a preheat to the tankless.

Next is Elections, Trump has the votes the only questions are, will they be counted and will or how will the Demo-rats steal the election this time? I give us a 50/50 chance of having a fair election and that maybe to much of a HOPE! LOL

  12. We just replaced our 10+ year old gas water heater with a 65 gallon electric heat pump water heater. The replacement cost, including installation for the gas one would be over $2K here in Kalifornia. Our county owned utility SMUD, and the state, had rebaits in effect, that covered the entire $6300 cost. I would never spend a dollar just to go green, but this one was a no brainer.

  13. re: Retrograde
    feat: fashionista curve

    Folks,
We may may have hit a peak on the fashionista curve. Last week of course the Duchess of Sussex unveiled her forthcoming bespoke line of products, Posh Spices of sorts for home and hearth. No prices were mentioned to web browsers who had opportunity to join a “waitlist”. Marmalade and jam promises to be available depending how you like your bread buttered.

After such dizzying heights, msm has offered a plunging glimpse into the backside abyss of the fashionista curve. This past weekend as ‘Urban folk Ultra-Maked, the Karsashian clan hung out at a msm-coined “discount store” hawking bottles of elixirs displayed on an aisle end beneath a sign announcing $29.95. No customers marred the photogenic view of the American Rivierans.

        • re: Snow White
          feat: Brothers Grimm

          Hank in Hawaii,

I had to refresh my memory about that movie! Okay, V-ger 6 fell into a black hole. It returns to Earth as sentient AI seeking to meet its Creator.

NASA updated several more pages today on its website concerning the Voyager missions.

          https://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/nmc/spacecraft/display.action?id=1977-084A

Their notes indicate the scientist in charge is Dr. Bell based in Code 605 (the Science Proposal Support Office) at Goddard Space Centre in Greenbelt, Md. ‘Urban’s fine editor sometimes moonlighting as DJ George will be pleased to know that Greenbelt is in Prince George county. The county is named after Prince George of Denmark, consort to Queen Anne I who ruled England around 1700. Apparently her motto was “semper eadam” (ever the same).

Speaking of which, the picture of the week image on the menu page of the Code 605 SPSO group was updated yesterday. It currently shows NGC 6388 discovered by 19th century Scottish astronomer James Dunlop. The image caption “unhappy wanderer” apparently references the word “planet” meaning wanderer. The good news is they say NGC 6388 likely has not encountered a black hole. The bad news is that one of its planets may have hit a white dwarf.
          https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/objects/heapow/

Perhaps DJ George can map us through to a sequel Trekkie movie and cue up some whale song? BTW, I read the Voyager Golden Record playlist and did not see a whale song track.

    • re: Bohemian Grove
      feat: Czech and Chess

      Folks,
Care to embark on a sober tour of imagination? I was clueless about how many coinkydoink historical connections Taylor Swift has to the elites. Picking up from yesterday’s St. Paddy’s green of Philly, one of her maternal Italian great-great-grandfathers of Green Lane, Philly, turned a lemon stand into a respected banking and public service career.

Swifties must still be weak-kneed and recuperating from the Eros Tour’s just-concluded six gig (state subsidized to the tune of $3 million per show?) Singapore residency where one party has ruled since 1959. Cuba has company in that regard? “The Straits Times” waxed on about Ms. Swift’s maternal grandmother’s stint in the city state while her spouse worked as an expat. She apparently had an operatic singing role in 1968 at the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall whose cornerstone was laid on the Coronation Day of King Edward VII. Apparently the opera she participated in was “The Bartered Bride” composed by the 19th century Bohemian-Czech Bed?ich Smetana. Perhaps his more famous work is “Má vlast” (My Fatherland) about St. Wenceslaus defending Bohemia from four armies. It contains the piece “Vltava” (The Moldau) sampled in the Israeli national anthem “Hatikvah” (Our Hope). The latter was composed in Palestine by a Polish Jew from Zolochiv (City of Poets) now situated in modern day Ukraine. As chance would have it, Ms. Swift did a reveal of her upcoming album cover at Singapore. “The Tortured Poets Department – old habits die screaming” will feature a single “The Black Dog”.

Bohemian Grove looks to be situated close to the California ghost town of Taylorville. The grave of the town’s gold rush era namesake Mr. Taylor was refurbished by a San Francisco Freemason Lodge 25+ years ago. Since then it looks like they’ve merged with Phoenix and periodically update their Facebook page.

DJ George may choose to offer a lyrical update on “The Manuscript” song once Ms. Swift’s new album is released on April 19th.

  14. “Putin threats”

    Love or hate NATO/Russia….

Unless I’m overlooking something it seems all Putin has is threats / holding the world hostage by nuclear threat. During the election Ukie drones were literally buzzing Moscow.

“A brief video posted to social media on Sunday shows a flash as an unidentified object hits the roof of what appears to be part of Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, after an audible buzzing sound which can be distinctive of drone strikes.”

    That’s not winning.

We know Russia can threaten nukes but NATO has nukes too and has indicated they’ll strike back. Russia launching means suicide. Suicide isn’t a winning strategy. And if Putin keeps threatening there could be a first strike. Reread a Bush/Iraq speech and modify a few words.

The capital of the newest NATO member is Stockholm.

“Stockholm syndrome is a proposed condition or theory that tries to explain why hostages sometimes develop a psychological bond with their captors.”

Either the folks in NATO or the folks in Russia will be liberated. Not both.

  15. The contributions of the subscibers and freesite-only members are quite vluable to me, as these people are either smart and accomplished, or are good oddballs, with a valuable if often quirky take on things.

When you first considered adding reader comments, I commented against it, as I thought it would devolve into craziness and obscenity as so many other comments sections have. I was wrong. It’s done well, and is a credit and a big plus to the operation.

    Three suggestions:
First, add a serial number to each post. Scrolling back and forth to find stuff I wanna comment on can get me lost sometimes. The date-time is good, but a serial number would work better.

Second, even if you’re gonna take a day off — which I support for sanity — maybe write one key sentence, and open a comment section. The column will ocasionally write itself usefully from that tiny opening hook. Without your Headman job, it would peter out quickly, or go off the rails, but occasionally, for a respite, it’d be fine.

Third, hmmmm… I forgot the third thing, but as long as I’m typing, I’d like to observe the many “like” and yet “different” minds on here, represent extremely wide life experience and expertise, and form a Very Smart Community. This is no small thing, and it has considerble Value.

  16. Pretty much every average home with hot water south of the USA uses tankless hot water heaters. Or a small gas/electric heater right at the tap using kitchen stove gas.

Or there are what gringos call suicide showers, a shower head wired with 110, temp controlled by adjusting the water flow.

I just installed a 110v faucet heater on a remote bathroom sink. Cost $18, made in Russia. Wife likes it.

Only the wealthy first world take long, hot showers.

Something you would know if you bothered to visit even one of the top 10 locations for expats as I have recommended for the last 15 years.

Still banking one of our two social security checks every month.

Ecuador, where $300k buys you a 4 apartment house that lets you do that too.

    • Ecuador is facing some serious political problems of its own. One of the things most striking about traveling internationally is how small homes and apartments are. In the US everything is too big, bathrooms as big as bedrooms.

I have a saying the larger the house, the more it’s unoccupied.

      • The unoccupied parts are useful as workshops and storage spaces. They don’t need to be heated or cooled most of the time.

  17. You folks need to read the new book “Blood Money” by Peter Schweitzer. A real eye opener about what the Chinese are up to behind the scenes in the USA. Absolutely amazing, 200 pages with 100 pages of footnotes to verify his sources.

    • with a sad heart.. our politicians have been using this for a long time.. one look at the brand and what they have done to america should put fear into everyones hearts..

  18. Today on local Detroit radio news they told us metro Detroit housing sales are down but prices are up. That’s stagflation.

I think the autoworker raises effect is over, people aren’t buying and sales are down…. but the freebies in down payment assistance and credits is up. Not to mention Biden’s credits are yet to come online.

    • People aren’t buying because the cost of a new home is more than what their incomes will accommodate.. you have to have it to spend it.. everything is going up except wages.

  19. Doom-n-Gloom – Part Six., or is it Part Seven ?
The Earth, our home, is heating up. There is no denying that fact.
Believe it, or not, it is a natural cycle. The heating of the planet has happened several times before – lasts a couple hundred years – then suddenly reverses. It’s what it does. Nothing new., it’s called ‘weather’. Extreme in some areas – not so much in others. Normal.
This time around it is a bit different as we have pumped a lot of pollutants into the atmosphere – which is exacerbating the normal trend. We are getting hotter than previous averages increases. Last year Kuwait City had 19 days over 125 degrees. Hundreds died. It would have been in the thousands had it not been for electricity [ air conditioners.] Math models show it will be worse this year., and in ten years – uninhabitable.
If you run this normal earth cycle out along it’s standard increase, add the small increase caused by pollution – and it is accelerating faster than previous increases – all measurable and proven., we, as a species, are in some serious trouble.
2.1 billion people now live in areas that will become virtually uninhabitable due to temperature increase and the continuing rise in drought conditions.
Most of the south Pacific, southeast Asia., most of the Middle east., half of Africa., half of South America will all fall into the uninhabitable zone. The one real biggie in all of this, is India. Nearly 80% of that sub-continent / country will be so hot and so dry that nearly a billion people will be forced to move – or die. But just where are they all going to move to? Every country around them will be in the same predicament.
This is all happening., right now.., and in 25 to 30 years., it will be in full control of the Earth’s population.., and – could cause the greatest migration in our world’s history. If the current math models are right – you will see a lot of this begin to happen this coming Summer – Middle East., India.., Amazon Rain Forest. [.., and if we lose the Amazon Rain Forest??] If the temp increases world wide are as much as last year’s record setting temperatures – it will be major news – all Summer long.
The U.S.,, North America will be affected., but not as much and manageable., and survivable. – though major changes will be required. [ agriculture for one.] Excluding that hot-pocket in the desert southwest – it will slowly become a dead zone. Once we become desperate, we’ll manage it. With one very large caveat. All those 2.1 billion people will have to go somewhere – or fry. Where., on Earth., will they all go ??
Unfortunately, we do not have the sun-spot record going back millions of years to help collaborate on the timing of the previous temp increase.., so that bit of very useful data is missing from the overall equation / prediction.
Question: Just how many weather predicting math models have been correct in the past twenty years, or so? Only one., that I know of. Out of Surrey England, research lab: “Tomorrow.., we will have weather.” They nailed it !
Next up – Mini Ice Age…, ahh,, but when ??
I won’t be around when all of this gets into full swing., but good luck to your kids and grand kids.
Of course.., all of this doom-n-gloom goes out the window with just one massive volcanic eruption., and voila ! The year [ or two ] without a Summer.

Just one thing after another.., isn’t it?

    • Volcano?

Nuclear Winter might slow it down a bit too.

      Just couldn’t help myself. :)

    • ya. i was told i need to be present on the anniversary of when i stood in the spot nobody has stood for thousands of years, the 4 year anniversary is a Total Solar Eclipse of 2024 Apr 08.

it starts to the minute where i stood 4 years prior. and i had to consider that nobody has stood in that place in thousands of years. how many people lived and died in that time and nobody else stood there? bilions upon billions. its an incacuable number of lives that have been lived to produce one who for the first time in ever record history that not a single person on the planet stood in a church, temple, mosque, or any house of worship on that day. ever in recorded history. billions upon billions of people lived and died since the last time someone stood there over thousands (plural) of years ago. not playto, nor george washington, no tesla, not any rothchild, nor old money name, not neploean, not buda, not any pope, not a single pharoh, not a single king that ever lived in the last 2000 years stood there.

and there i where i stood. 4 years ago on 04/08/2020. 4 years later the 4 year is a Total Solar Eclipse of 2024 Apr 08.

they said billions upon billions of lives had to be lived to produce one who was worthy to hear the call and stand there. that one is you. countless many people lived to produce one. more than the sands of the desert.

and i said I quit. i was supposed to move down there and i had a good thing. and one hour after i told someone. my good life was taken away. not just a good life for me, but for my kids and all the miracles i would have participated in down there. i could have bought a house and lived a really good life. and that was taken from me. so i thought about it. and i quit.

they said the 4 judgements may come upon humanity as a result. i said i dont care. i quit.

they said, humanity may have to produce that many lives and deaths again before another one person will be found worthy of being called to stand there.

i said. i dont care. someome took something really good from me, and everyone i would have affected that wasnt theirs to take.

so i been thinking about it. and i quit.

they said nobody has ever quit before. i said well they shouldnt have taken that from me. so i quit. nobody who has ever stood there, quit.

i said well, there is a first time for everything. if you figure out who took from me what wasnt theirs to take. you talk to them about it. im tired. i quit.

if humanity faces the 4 judgements. and countless lives have to be lived again to produce one person , while the world yields at home to enter the circle again? i dont care.

there is less than 30 days until the eclipse.

unless THE DUDE Himself changes my mind?

im not going to stand in the spot. im not. i dont care. someone took something from me that wasnt theirs to take. an hour after a phone call. i dont care if it takes another 6000 years to produce a single person worthy of standing there again. i really dont. i dont care if humanity goes through the 4 judgments. its not my problem.

i dont. i quit. i have a plan. and im not telling a fucking person on here. im going to go live my life. i quit.

for now, as it is. im not going to stand in the circle. no matter how persistan the lady who whispers on the wind is. im not going to go stand there. im tired and i quit.

      best of luck to everyone.

      • Andy: That is a tough one, no doubt.
Not going to give you platitudes or lip service.
You are on the path of Jonah.
Destiny is a hell of a thing.

      • I quit 20 years ago and said FU to the Liars, killers and thieves that control this rock.
Just waiting for the STHTF so the final retribution can commence.
Make bullets, rope and shovels great again.

    • (“This time around it is a bit different as we have pumped a lot of pollutants into the atmosphere – which is exacerbating the normal trend. We are getting hotter than previous averages increases.”)

Well here is my rant.. decades old.. my broken record rant.. LOL…
we are expanding urban development at fifty something acres a minute.. asphalt and concrete.. our cars.. a couple billion tons of co2 emmisions..
we are cutting down about.. 3 thousand trees per minute..
clear cut for urban expansion.. it takes seven trees per person on the planet.. and fourteen trees per car.. we are consuming fifty five plus acres of prime farm land per minute.. one acre per person to feed..
so Greenscape the cities.. go up as we go out.. put CO2 filters to compensate for the loss of trees..on every street lamp post.. each filter will filter the average of about a hundred trees or more.. Air Wells in arid environments will compensate for the loss of agriculture.. and solar towers.. strengthen the grid with solar towers working back to the power plant and handing out solar grid tie kids to every homeowner.. cheaper and our grid would be bulletproof..

    • The “Dry Line” which I referred to about a couple of weeks back has already moved from the 100th Meridian to the 98th Meridian since the time of Major John Wesley Powell, the first person to note and document the location of the “Dry Line” in the United States (it extends into Canada too).

That means that the good agricultural land of mid United States, land that does NOT require irrigation or low water usage crops, has moved 100 miles EAST in the last 140 years since Major Powell made and wrote about his observations.

Scientists didn’t start to actually study the “Dry Line” until about 20-25 years ago (was just folk lore from Powell’s time until then) now say that their work indicates that the “Dry Line” will continue to march east for the foreseeable future, it is NOT stopping it’s eastward move.

The upcoming loss in tillable land NOT needing irrigation with another 50 miles east move, let alone a further 100 mile east move is tremendous!! One is talking millions of acres effectively being taken out of agricultural production in North America.

Crop genetic modifications may serve to help keep production constant, or even increase it some, except for those genetic modifications based upon climate alone our agricultural production in the US and Canada would (will?) take a tremendous hit over the next 50 to 70 years.

  20. Any knowledge as to if there is a second timing go round (about Mercury going into and out of Retrograde) in the fall.

I am totally clueless about all that astronomy /astrology stuff but just curious because of my other market timing work.

  21. Hot water tank
I spent eight and half months in a remote log cabin in the middle of no-where Montana., just outside of Glacier National Park and I could probably spit and hit the Canadian border.
Had to get away and clear my head – going primitive, in an isolated cabin., during Winter? Perfect! [ How many brown bears !?]
One thing I did weekly was ‘take a bath’. With no services like electricity, or propane it took a few hours. There was an old copper tub – that I was actually too big for and had to hang one leg out of – and a beautiful creek only 20 yards or so from the back door.
I would pour in three, five-gallon buckets of cold creek water and as that water came up to room temps, I would heat three, five-gallon buckets on the wood stove. It was all the water I could do – as I only had three buckets. Worked great. It became more of a ritual, than a chore.
After I got the routine down., I planned it, so dinner was ready to come off the cook stove., or out of the oven as I finished taking my bath.
It really was – “good times”.
    .
Note: Explain to me, just why did I come back?

  22. this really isn’t hard stuff. The actual transcript from the speech. “Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a blood bath for the whole – that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a blood bath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars.”

Trump did not say “…in the auto industry.”

Was it taken out of context? Did trump not finish his thought before moving onto something else? Is it unfair when a politician’s words are taken out of context or the politician gets slammed for not finishing a thought? That’d be opinion and everyone has at least one, sometimes they’re even in conflict.

I like to deal in facts. No words were edited out. The only words edited I see were the ones Hank magically edited in.

Please prove me wrong. I’m not too proud to apologize. But simple facts should be simple facts, like what someone said, especially when there are multiple videos of the event.

Look at the video of the speech. I’ve looked at bunches.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENMZcy6AcxY

    • Scares me that you vote. I listened to it – Hank’s summary was fair. It was all about autos and lefties put some bullshit spin on it.
You never answered my previous question.
      Strike two

      • The word I’m getting from the family is that people who have never had problems holding jobs before are now barely holding on with temporary jobs. The progressives haven’t waited until the second term to start burning down the house of cards. Trump, as usual, could have been more eloquent, but he spoke the truth. Remembering what happened during Obama’s second term makes my blood run cold.

  23. No such thing as a hot water heater, you probably have a COLD water heater (unless you have a preheater). I’m thinking of a heat pump water eater by the wsy, it has a nice tax credit with it but it’s more expensive.

    • Semantics. No such thing as a ‘boiled egg’ either. You can cook an egg… but they don’t boil.

  24. Folks,

Speaking of the American Riviera, today apparently marks the 4th anniversary that the migrant Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the warm embraces of Canada for new beginnings in Montecito. The Firm’s royal.uk/royalfamily has been updated by extraordinary coincidence after all this time. The Sussex’ former splashy separate pages assigning to each several thousand words has been reduced in these austere times. Both now share one page which offers a minimum of description along with a single picture of the couple in beachwear and leis enjoying beach time in South Africa. The newly re-positioned Sussex page follows that of Princess Alexandra, the Honorable Lady Olgivy, a cousin and bridesmaid of the late QE2 who is 57th in line to the throne.

Following the Sussex page is one final page before the end. That is assigned to the duke of york who is pictured in front of a ‘Sea King’ helicopter during the Falklands War era.

The back-handed compliments are flying yet Wimbledon remains a couple of months away!

  25. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/18/bloodbath-aside-trumps-violent-rhetoric-is-unambiguous/

‘To recap: Appearing at a rally in Ohio, Trump riffed on his proposal for a 100 percent tariff on Chinese-made cars to protect the U.S. auto industry.’

“Now, if I don’t get elected,” he continued, “it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

‘You can argue that one comment is being blown out of proportion, but the track record is clear’ (numerous speeches by Trump inciting violence, listed in article)

    ‘You can’t touch this’
(MC Hammer song), 30 surety companies refuse to touch Trump’s $450 million bond (NY appeals court, but Trump claimed last year he had the cash lol!!)

  26. I was cleaning up my Day Trading logbook – in transit to longer trades – and came to an interesting fact.
The past twenty one years I have not used one dollar of my own money – in all the trades I made. I have used only what I have earned.
I have pulled “a lot” of funds out of those accounts., but since I started day trading again – after a decade of pause – over 21 years ago – once funded., I have never used any of my own capital. I currently have over three times what I started with [ not counting the LEAPS I have] – after all these years and all the withdrawals.
I do believe that is a mark of success.
    Good for me !
Let’s see if I can keep that up over the next few years.

  27. i been traveling on this path for 4 years since i stood there. im making less than i have ever made financially. 40,000 a year less than what i made before.

the entire winter, i didnt have a heater in my car. now i dont know if ya ever drove to work at 3am when its 20 below outside or not day after day.

and then have the answer to your prayers snatched out of your hand an hour after a phone call.

the lady whispered to me. havent heard her since the day i went there. that is the only time i had ever heard her before. she said you must go. i said no. im not going.

i spoke to the elders. they said what they said. and i dont care. i quit. you snatched the answer to my prayers, my childrens prayers and made me suffer on the mountain freezing my ass off? im not going to go stand there.

i dont care anymore. i really dont. so if the 4 judgements happen. you can blame whoever it was that took what wasnt theirs to take.

just like coinbase held my purchase. then ate a 100 Billion.

well that is what you get.

    i quit. end of story.

  28. you remember when i went to Palm Desert last time and they lied to me and saying no there was no inheritance for you etc. etc. were all acting weird driving brand new cars. you dont wanna move here. and a job i had in the bag, the day before i left went by by.

then 6 hours after i left the entire cochella valley got desimated by a huricane.

well i hope that isnt the case. but im not going to write a book now, or do another website or any of that. i dont care anymore. let the chips fall where they fall.

fuck it. i quit. pretty cool that i stood there that day. when nobody on earth went to any kind of church. on the planet, first time ever recorded history.

and there i was standing in the center of a place nobody had stood in thousands of years.

im throwing my towl in. done.

i quit and im walking away. this is my final post on urbansurvival.

atleast when i went to church this weekend. they blessed me and gave me a brand new bible.

that is more than i have gotten anywhere on the net. i spoke to elon and said good luck and uninstalled my X account and aint looking back.

what a waist of 4 years of my life.

im going to do something differnt with the rest of my life that actually produces some sort of return. for as long there is a world left.

you all wanted doom. i hope you get your fill. i quit. i wanted a happy good life. im fucking done.

best of luck to ya all.

    • Andy, macht nichts (matters not), you are still a golden child of the Dude and that will never change. As Jimmy Valvano said: don’t give up, don’t ever give up…..Me, I am just playing the hand I was dealt…You will be sorely missed here on survival.

  29. the elders said its fine to quit. just dont give up.

you have the power to change the movie Andy. you have the power.

if you dont like this movie, play something different. it is your choice.

im just tired and i just cant anymore. im fucking tired.

  30. we are jumping timelines. aka changing the movie. i think we call all agree this timeline is retarded.

since the elders say, i have the power to change the movie. im changing the movie.

  31. we are changing timelines to one where i get a New 4X4 truck, with remote start, heat and AC.

i didnt know i had the power to do that, change the movie…. aka timeline. they assure me, I do.

    huh. coool.

right when i was about to give up. the answer comes.

  32. Go for the heated driver seat. Trucks are cool, but if you aren’t planning on towing or hauling lumber, a full size SUV is better and probably cheaper.
