With the number of Trump fans here, I began looking at the comment section here as the elephant’s grave yard. And after having old-man heart surgery, that scared the shit out of me.

Suburbia will most likely be one of the safest places for awhile; martial law will keep the violence to a minimum by brute force. Rural places will be harder to defend with hundreds-of-thousands of displaced populations.

A lot of people here have no idea what they are talking about.
Since that leaves me closer to future world events than I wanted to be, I have been doing a great deal of thinking lately about why fate has prevented me from moving into the woods or to the far off mountains.
You need a good 50-air-miles between you and a nuclear target, but you still have to work on the radiation. One exposed hour can kill you.
So, farming, raising chickens and goats are not possibilities in my life. I’ve always calculated that I was going out in the first wave.
In fact, a television production company wanted to exploit my outlook: manning my post and sacrificing everything until the mushrooms started popping.
In 2016, I was going to be on another Nostradamus cable television show. My well-known competitor John Hogue was also going to be on the show, along with former Secretary of Defense William Cohen; the working title of the script was Nostradamus and Nuclear War.
They deemed my Nostradamus Commentary worthy of a television production.
So, after a few weeks of interviews with the lower tier producers, they wanted to include my resume in the script.
I asked them if they were crazy. That was not an option, and so we made a verbal agreement to keep my life out of the interview. Nostradamus Commentary and playing music are my public faces.
Two-weeks before shooting, I finally got the interview with the Executive Producer, who was a curt, snotty British woman. With no discussion with me or debate, our verbal agreement was done away with; my resume had been built into the script, and now she wanted me to do stupid people tricks in front of the camera. BTW, they would be flying into my city in less than two-weeks to shoot my scene.
I asked her if she was “Fucking Crazy”. There was no money in this gig, the only potential paycheck was book sales and free advertising. I know how that goes; that meant working for free.
Pay me drop dead-money, and I would be heading for the hills.
She was a bit miffed when I turned the gig down. She got huffy about “leaving a hole in her script”.
That simply was not my problem.
And that’s the way that I feel about crazy. I just walk away from it.
Last Sunday, I was at the counter of my local breakfast cafe talking to a retired AF Colonel and Coast Guard C-130 flight engineer who has flown all over the world. The realities of life, war, and physics are there to be concerns for the professionals.
So, when I hear MAGA, I really do want to puke.

Personally, I tend to my hay crop, try to keep a paying job, make contingency plans. and try to avoid being murdered by idiot vigilantes doing the work for local gangs looking for sh!t to steal and innocents to demonize. as long as wages keep in line with the increases it can shoot the moon..the problem with that is as it rises the value of what others stored away decreases in value..a guy told me back when I made three bucks an hour..buy land and houses now ..in a few years inflation and the dollar devaluation will make it worth it.. I see that now..a building that sold ten years ago for fifteen grand is now valued at three hundred grand..a house that sold twenty years ago for thirty grand was just sold for half a million..
what hurts here is wages are low..the manager at the local gas station makes thirteen bucks an hour.. had one employee bitching about her wages..I said be grateful.. I have an idea what they take in a month..they are lucky that it isn’t closed.. as private pay residents goes on federal ..( the government only allows for $2.50 – 3.00 an hour compensation for healthcare..that’s why private pay is so high. the place the wife worked at..some joker got a 2 billion dollar loan bought facilities all over the us 18 in this state..then quit paying his loan payments supplies and wages etc..hell we were bringing in supplies and donating them..they all closed..then civic hit and the government gave the ahole somewhere over thirty million.. now…with a shitty credit repayment history..you’d think it would beover…hmm nope.. he got another loan and went buying hospitals lol doing the exact same thing..lol lol lol

Mystery solved lol lol lol…we shop at a local grocery store.. and for the past month they’ve had the best price on butter…A buck a pound..we use a couple pounds a month so for us that’s one he’ll of a price..having worked dairy for what almost twenty years I have a general idea what wholesale is..anyway an old friend that manages the dairy department.. we worked together when he was in high school in dairy.. well he manages it now..he was stocking next to me and I asked dam that’s one he’ll of a price on butter..is it new product..he laughed and said remember chocolate milk..I started laughing….yes I do what happened..well I needed fifteen cases of assorted brands one case of each ..yes..and somehow I hit the I love butter button..lol lol lol he’s down to a pallet and a half of butter…chocolate milk the had just come out with phone orders while getting rid of salesmen in the early 80’s and we got a semi load of chocolate milk.. free gallon with every purchase lol lol lol lol
