As we roll into Nick Day week, besides metals glittering early, there’s a CFNAI report to dissect. After which three “holiday week risks” are assessed. Noisy headlines give me a cartoon excuse, but then into useless lithium battery chargers and some ShopTalk and Peoplenomics previews.
St. Nick’s Rally – And Caution
Market futures were showing a decided pop at the open might be in the cards; Dow +42, S&P +23, Techs +133. Part of this is seasonal. But there is also caution in the wind for 2026. A detailed “thinking people who read Urban” analysis suggests a “steady-as-she-goes” until early January. People are taking time off, and for grown-up investors, that involves turning down screen time and turning up face-time with family and friends.
As a result, Bitcoin is trying to top $90,000, Gold is quickly approaching $4,500 and even Silver is getting very near $70 an ounce.
Still, absent a rise well above recent highs – which might foretell one more leg up – the biggest problem is trying to assess where economic equilibrium will settle in 2026. So far, a honest reporter would have to acknowledge “Trump is running light” but at the same time, “Demcrats are running useless” (nods to the made-up economy of California. (Can I peer over my spectacles like Schemer does when he’s overcome by faux drama?)
CFNAI
We can keep this short and to the point: the price is still being paid for GovDown as this morning’s Chicago Fed numbers are an initial release covering data through September 2025. And they tell usd what?
“The Chicago Fed National Activity Index (CFNAI) increased to –0.21 in September from –0.31 in August. Two of the four broad categories of indicators used to construct the index decreased from August, and three categories made negative contributions in September. The index’s three-month moving average, CFNAI-MA3, decreased to –0.21 in September from –0.18 in August.”
The CFNAI Diffusion Index, which is also a three-month moving average, decreased to –0.32 in September from –0.20 in August. Twenty-five of the 85 individual indicators made positive contributions to the CFNAI in September, while 60 made negative contributions. Fifty-two indicators improved from August to September, while 32 indicators deteriorated and one was unchanged. Of the indicators that improved, 32 made negative contributions.”
(Must be something in the water in ChiTown – this talk of “negative contributions” rather than plain speaking seems – you know – masturbatory to us…)
We have two days of government reports to go before “reindeer and roofing” so pardon us if we just chill with some eggnog. Yum! National drink of cardiologists? Sugar, fat, preservatives, too much rum…oh yeah!
Our News “Naughty List”
Let’s start with Santa’s S-300 and S-400 flight ops, shall we?
Missing time? There is something missing in stories like Israel PM Netanyahu plans to brief Trump on potential new Iran strikes. The exact date. For now, the press speculates it will take place at Mar Lago December 29. But we wouldn’t rule out a phone call in the next few days.
That’s because:
- As the clock runs, arms are flowing. And US Senator Lindsey Graham meets Israeli PM Netanyahu in Jerusalem | AP News
- Then there’s the pressure on Netanyahu domestically in Israel: A corruption trial which has dragged on Netanyahu trial is too long and mismanaged, former Supreme Court president says. And nothing like a quick war to “change-up” domestic narratives, right?
- Some may call it “Tehrany” as Iran closely monitoring all enemy movements: Army chief – Mehr News Agency.
What matters is the precise when of the Netanyahu/Trump contact. There’s a “soft-shouldered” distribution between says “heads up” contact and the outbreak of renewed hostilities. So on the threat board, it looks like this:
U.S. side
Trump currently operates without a confirmed foreign-policy team or formal NSC structure, limiting immediate execution bandwidth.
Any Iran-related move before January would be advisory or signaling, not operational.
Domestic U.S. political focus remains inward through year-end (budget fights, transition positioning).
Israeli side
Netanyahu faces sustained domestic pressure from a prolonged corruption trial and coalition strain.
Israeli leadership historically favors external security actions during periods of internal political stress.
Israel has recently increased air-defense readiness and regional flight activity, suggesting contingency planning.
Iran side
Iran is actively monitoring Israeli and U.S. movements and publicly signaling readiness.
Tehran continues arms transfers and proxy support while avoiding actions that justify direct retaliation.
Iranian strategy favors ambiguity and patience over immediate escalation.
All that and this is just one obstacle course for the Sled-driver.
Ukraine is the Other
But also indecisive. Because while EU is still “all-in” with Ukraine (EU Agrees To $106 Billion Loan For Ukraine After Shelving Russian Asset Proposal) there are talks ongoing in Florida. Russia says U.S. peace plan talks for Ukraine ‘are proceeding constructively’, The fulcrum is when “constructive” under weigh “More war funding…”
Usual Suspects Behind the Headlines
Sizing up the headlines: Big Narrative is pushing

Holiday Facts for Action
We have three simple ways to reduce personal (and familial) risk and stress profiles this week:
#1: Chill – it’s the Holidays
Fact: Most home injuries happen during rushed, multi-arm trips carrying too much at once.
So what: Saving 30 seconds can cost weeks of recovery.
Action: Make two trips. Use a cart. Pride is cheaper than medical bills. One hand for the bannister. (Slippery floors kill, too – take time to wipe feet…)
#2: Leave Early – Avoid Rush-Stress
Fact: People make worse decisions under time pressure and incomplete information.
So what: Small morning mistakes cascade into lost time and money.
Action: Stage keys, wallet, phone, and glasses the night before. Mornings should be mechanical, not creative. Add time for ice and snow. Be ahead of conditions, not victim to them.
#3: Add Sleep – Early to Bed, Early to Opening
Fact: Holidays disrupt sleep, diet, and movement patterns more than people realize.
So what: Fatigue and irritability spike afterward.
Action: Resume normal bed and meal times within 24 hours of a holiday, even if motivation lags. This is the weekend to “test retirement” by going a few days with no alarms or snooze-slapping.
Around the Ranch: The Lithium Lazarus
Here’s one of those “shaggy dog” stories from the Shop that actually offers some useful winter learning, if you’re not too busy?
Tale begins with a Fat guy (ably played by moi) building a deck foundation Friday. Which continued with the first coat of preservative stain (Penofin,. thanks for asking) going on Saturday. Weather has been great and they’re still calling high 70s to low 80s for Nick Day.
Back to point, while I was working (feverishly) I had completely forgotten the keys to the old Lexus were in my pocket. No one thinks to dump keys before working around the house, do they?
Well, they SHOULD because that key being in the pocket caused the trunk-open on the remote to be activated and the trunk was opened. Since I was 40 feet (and around a corner) I of course didn’t hear the damn thing. Our feral cat collection was also useless. And like I’ve said before, there’s a reason the Nobel Committee has yet to name a cat.
Well, wouldn’t you know it? There was no one around to “report the trunk” being popped until I happened to lollygag toward my construction project early this morning. Since this wasn’t the first time with this problem (sensitive remote, old man who won’t put shit back) I closed the trunk lid. Tested with the remote and….
DEAD BATTERY!
[I did warn you this was “shaggy dog” length, right?]
No, the dead battery ISN’T why this is a prepping article. It’s because when I popped my faithful (lithium) charger on it…No Soap!
That’s the point of this whole “fit to be tied when I even think about” ramble.
Most people don’t know that many of the Chineseum (switch-mode) otherwise very solid battery chargers will not charge a COMPLETELY dead battery. My trusty upscale Fluke said it was under half a volt. Figure I must hav popped the Trunk Friday for the trunk lights to bleed it down so far…
OK – what’s the answer? I will give you two.
First: Get longer than 25 feet jumper cables. Then you can jump and be on your way. Maybe with a screaming fan belt from the alternator going into overtime and you won’t want to shut it down for several HOURS (or just buy a new battery).
Second: (Only if you were too cheap to get long jumpers…hangs head in shame): Go to the ham radio electronics bench. Bring a lab-grade variable voltage and current power supply to the car, jump with that until the charge voltage gets up to 8.8 volts or so. THEN the lithium profile charger will pleased to take over.
But here’s the (MacGyver-like) deal: Dead lithium that gets under 6-8 volts (varying by charger) MAY NOT be able to get you to work on time.
True fact: An old “dumb” lead-acid battery may be perfectly recoverable (like I just did). But if the “smart” charger is really a “smarty-pants” in cheap component use, with no big solid transformer you can stay “smart-but-dead” all day. Old ranch hand would have known this. If their horses had used lithiums…
Now I’m wondering if a small IGBT welder could be used…hmm…
And now you know, the rest of the story (as the late Paul Harvey would explain).
Planning Ahead: Christmas eve on Peoplenomics we’ll feature an annual accountability report for subscribers. And New Years Eve? Food Reactor II design is ready and the parts have been ordered. “Staying Alive in ’25” is about to give way to “Eat like you’re rich in ’26.”
Write when you get rich or to tell me my present is on the way… I can’t open the one from LOOB until Christmas…
George@Ure.net
So…You, the Lexus, the remote, Elaine, the cats, and the charger are ALL taking lithium?
hmm…now that you mention it, there IS a pattern there – vy good engineering eye Mike
Too much Rum?? I have never run into that problem! Unless the rum bottle was empty. But times change and nowadays it is a small slug into the Eggnog. Yummy while waiting for the pleasantly plump elf to show up.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah or Chanukah to all.
We all have many blessings to be Happy About so how-a-bout telling the Big Guy “Thanks” once and awhile? He/she does appreciate it.

A new breed of pop up showed up two weeks ago. Happy holidays!!!
That was to remove the annoying “anchor ads” top/or bottom of pages. Also got rid of the right and left side ads (but you somehow missed that?) All in the interest of faster page load speeds (1.6 seconds on older throttled 4g phones) and 0.6 seconds on destops. Being concerned as you are, you’ll appreciate this month the ads here have generated a whopping $62.40 this month. That and supportive comments are one reason I do consider selling off or just closing the UrbanSurvival site. 60-days out from 77 those kind of thoughts do wander by…Some people whine at even the cost of a free lunch, I suppose.
Does clicking on the ads get you paid? If so, I’ll take the time to do it, because even though I’m a Peoplenomics subscriber, I value UrbanSurvival, and want to support it.
They do pay, but please only click on what legit interests you. If I were ad stuffing, there’s be more TNA and less content here, lol
DITTO!!!
take time off for Family facetime….Oh well not this year.
Half of Fam is in Raleigh, NC – not visiting till new GrandBaby is in the “oven’.
Had Grand Daughter over yesterday and did the present thing. Yes, We absolutely spoil the shit out of our Grand Child. And she has baby sister on the in May, more opportunities to spoil .
Hopefully better half and myself will no longer be “cut off” by the Daughter & SiL. Got the “cut off” for bringing up SiLs” problem with alcoholic beverages.
G-Catz,
Hitting Silver hard this week, after long weekend of study..New positions – Most striking was chart of Silver versus Equities, Silver versus USD and of course Silver vs Oil.
A lot can be discerned frm those 3 charts & I dont see an end in sight for Sliver price increases.
So I will be getting creative wit it this week with combo’s of Buying and Selling Puts and Calls in 4 leg “combos’ on Miners underlying.
I want to cap the Downside, while the Top remains open/unlimited.
Like I “coached earlier ” We are going higher Catmandu. And NO I did not mean to coach, it was intuition at work, but whatever you say – U DA Boss.
Speaking of which, have you seen Cooter & Flash lately ?
If you are talking about food could you please discuss food dehydrators. I like dehydrated fruit, the crunch is heavenly, but oh, so expensive . A friend said that stuff still goes moldy, and that they are a waste of money.
So does Deer meat when hanging & ageing it.
Just trim the moldy parts off, as its only on the surface. I get my dried fruit supplies from Trader Joes – quality products for a good price. Trader Ho makes a great Sesame Seed Soy Sauce, Joes brother from another Mother.

I started with a Nesco FD-61, about 20 years ago. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0090WOCN0 ) for less than $40.
The advantage to the round Nescos is (at least in theory) you can have as big a dehydrator as you want, simply by adding more layers. The problem is I had to buy a large, round tub for soaking the layers because they are too big to be soaked in a sink or dishwasher.
About 4-5 years ago I migrated to a Cosori CP-267 ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0090WOCN0 ) which is currently about 20 bucks cheaper than I paid.
The advantages to the Cosori are precise temperature control, the layers are stainless racks which fit nicely in a kitchen sink, and they don’t leech plastic into your dehydrated food.
Dehydrated food WILL grow mold, unless it is dehydrated completely (takes a long time) or preserved. Preservatives can be as simple as a citric or ascorbic acid wash for some things, and various sodium compounds (either dips or powders) for others. If you buy a dehydrator, it should come with a “cookbook” which will tell you what preservative to use for which food.
Please note: “Jerky” does not come out of the end of a “jerky shooter.” It is also not, simply stripped steak or chuck. It is stripped, then jerked, pulled, and stretched with your hands, then jerked, some more. I was probably about four years old when I made jerky with my Mom for the first time. She learned from the Seneca who were local to her, when she was growing up. THEY were not phoney, so I suspect their methods were likewise, not.
Dehydrator recipes all specify making jerky at somewhere between 135° and 165° Fahrenheit. That cooks the meat, to ensure home-players have no grounds to sue the manufacturer. The jerky the mountain men (and the Indians with whom they dealt) carried was dried, not cooked, in direct sunlight at between 95 and about 115 degrees. It lasted for months in a pocket or saddlebag, without spoiling or getting moldy, and was very dry (also undoubtedly, very tough.) There are 3-4 ranches which have started Internet-selling the jerky they make “the Indian way” on their ranches. It is not uniform in size, shape, or thickness and it is both dry and tough. You take a bite (any way you can) and let it soak in your mouth for several minutes, before you can chew & eat it. It is also, not cheap, because it’s about 4x as nutrient-dense as the crap you buy in the supermarkets. Mom told me it took a pound of chuck roast to make about 2.5oz of Indian jerky, and when that jerky was rehydrated, it would make a full pound of beef. I’ll bet sasquatch jerky doesn’t rehydrate at 6:1…
You will probably get a much more thorough essay from LOOB, describing the advantages of both dehydrating and freeze-drying, when he sees your post. You should listen. I’m sure he does more with his kitchen toys than I do, with mine…

that’s the one I own…..good unit with the trays you dehydrate at milk…
Use pasteurized milk, not raw, because bacteria can grow during slow drying.
Whole milk works well, but skim milk dries faster and more evenly.
Then you spread milk in thin layers on dehydrator trays and dry it low and slow until it becomes flakes or a brittle sheet.
Then you grind it into powder.
Here’s the breakdown it has to be Pasteurized milk (whole or skim)
A dehydrator with solid trays or fruit?leather trays
A blender or spice grinder
Set your dehydrator to 130–140°F (54–60°C) depending on your dehydrator.. there are a few that are better with bigger range of temperatures but for myself we’ve been really happy with the Corsari.p
Dry for 8–12 hours, sometimes longer depending on humidity.
Milk will turn into a brittle sheet or flakes when fully dry.
Signs it’s done:
No tackiness
Breaks cleanly
No cool or damp spots
NOW… what about dehydrating food..
What Is Food Preservation? (Simple Explanation)
Food preservation is any method that slows or stops spoilage so food lasts longer.
Microorganisms like mold, yeast, and bacteria need water, warmth, and time to grow.
Preservation works by removing or reducing one of those things.
Dehydrating (Drying)
Removes water so microorganisms can’t grow.
This is one of the oldest and easiest methods.
Why it works
Microbes need moisture. Dry food = no spoilage or an extended life of preservation…
What I believe is What you can dehydrate is….
Fruits
Vegetables
Herbs
Meat (jerky)
Cooked meals (for camping)
Food dehydrator (best) or you can make a solar dryer a box with trays in it and a glass cover and black interior..a air inlet at the bottom and exit on top.. a small computer fan on the top works good with this but not necessary.
Oven
air-drying (herbs only)
Now consider the other methods of preservation…
Canning
Uses heat to kill microorganisms and seal food in jars. you can also use retort container where you bring the food up to 180 in a water then either seal it with an impulse sealer or sealing the can on a can seamer.
https://wellscan.ca/
(A retort pouch or retortable pouch is a type of food packaging made from a laminate of flexible plastic and metal foils)
Then put the containers and high pressure can according to the canning guide..now with retort pouches. you have to stack them tight the Mylar expands.. I put a master in one pouch as a sacrificial pouch to make sure ingredients reach the desired temp.
my friend Thom owns this company he’s easy to tlk to and willing to pass of information..
https://vacupack.com/category/vacuum-sealer-home-style/
Fermenting
Uses good bacteria to preserve food (sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt). now Koji is what you use for soy sauce ..I did read you can culture butter…But I haven’t don it..now what is cultured butter…
Regular butter is made from fresh cream.
Cultured butter is made from fermented cream — cream that has been allowed to develop friendly bacteria (the same kind found in yogurt or buttermilk).
That fermentation:
thickens the cream
adds a tangy, complex flavor
improves spreadability
increases keeping quality
It’s basically cream + time. there are basically two methods of culturing butter..
Method 1 — Using Buttermilk (Easiest)
This is the most beginner?friendly method.
2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons cultured buttermilk (the kind sold in stores)
Mix the cream and buttermilk in a clean jar.
Cover loosely (cloth or lid set on top).
Let sit at 70–75°F for 12–24 hours in a yogurt maker.
When it’s thick like yogurt and smells pleasantly tangy, it’s ready..
Now… Method 2
Use plain yogurt with live cultures.
You need:
2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons plain
THEN You CHURN IT..
Once your cream is cultured, the butter?making part is identical to regular butter.
Here Are The Steps:
Pour the cultured cream into a mixer, blender, or jar.
Whip past the whipped?cream stage until the fat separates.
You’ll see:
yellow butter clumps
thin liquid (buttermilk)
Strain off the liquid.
Rinse the butter under cold water while kneading it to remove all buttermilk.
Add salt if you want.
Shape and chill.
Then there’s Fermenting
Uses salt and time
Great for cabbage, cucumbers, carrots Soybeans …
Pickling
Uses vinegar
Quick and safe…now it took me years to learn how to make great pickles..use the same method they did a thousand years ago.. the way mom did it..if I had only payed attention to her while she did it..the old pickle barrel..

If you have one of those small jump start batteries, it can be used to start the car OR to trick the charger into believing there’s juice in the old battery. I’ve connected the small battery to the car battery, then connected the lithium charger to the battery and let the lithium charger take over to finish charging.
reply to olfart from another olfart – uhm, pairs of inexpensive cables can be daisy-chained together in a pinch (like, just to charge a car parked in a garage). I’m disappointed the trunk story wasn’t how the feral cats moved in and refused to vamoose … E
loud as they can be, a subsonic 22 is the answer to all…
climbed into a shady “independent” Taxi outside immigration office in Independence, BZ with lovely Spouse bout 2 tears ago now.
She immediately quipped “it stinks of cat piss in here”. Independent cab was all banged up, dented, rust spots..typical vehicle you see in 3rd world countries.
Anyway I replied to her, no dear, thats the smell of Herion addict (s).
She got real uncomfortable the rest of way, and about jumped out of cab as it was coming to stop at the water taxi port.
Ever been on water taxi boat jammed packed with peoples all of whom are a different skin color than you? Ever been on same as above when it starts to rain..in 83 degree tropical weather. They pulled a plastic tarp over our heads, locking the odor of 30 or so sweaty Central Americans .
Guess who “broke formation” ? Yerp ! About 5 minutes into boat taxi ride I could no longer stand the stench..gagging I was, so I pulled that plastic down to get fresh air and rain rinse the lingering odors from my shirt. You guessed it – pissed off the whole dam boat when I pulled down that plastic cover and let cold rushing air to intrude on their stenchification ritual.
that’s some pretty real bandana gang streets there’s froggy – they make you smell cat piss in ‘nado?

I just resort to crop dusting…
If the terminology used in the CFNAI Diffusion report seemed “masturbatory” to you, maybe they were just trying to tell us the economy is coming unscrewed.
or in some deep greschalt we want to be screwed – yeah but I see the point.
LOL dead battery!!
I learned that lesson a few years back about the newer electronically controlled battery chargers NOT going to charge a nearly dead battery. Yes those charges are nice for scaling down the charging and then auto changing over to trickle charge once the battery is “full” but NO GO getting them to do anything to a mostly dead battery.
Solution? From the guy who almost never tosses anything out I still had an old style charger buried with my old boat stuff which HAD NO controls on it’s charging dynamics except a timer and a “Hi”-“Lo” switch (no. of amps outputted).
Voila … put the OLD charger onto the job since it never looks at the battery’s voltage, just puts out current only controlled by the two switches on it’s front panel (timer and “hi’-“lo” switch).
Using the old charger, with the timer set to bring the battery up to an estimated 70% charge (based on time x rate and estimated battery discharge state) and the battery was ready for one of my two microprocessor controlled battery chargers to take over and finish the job. (which I had to do multiple times over a couple of years for my little used Suburban … finally got rid of that battery always getting discharged while the burb sat around unused problem by placing a low output solar charger on the dash board plugged into the one ALWAYS HOT 12 volt plug on the dash). Of course in the alternative one could jump the battery to a running vehicle and let the two be tied together for a couple of hours.
As for the keys sitting in you pocket … the easiest solution to that problem is to get a pair of scissors, turn your pants inside out, and cut off the bottom of the pockets so nothing can even sit inside them!!, so whatever is placed in them just falls out immediately! ;-0 !!
Happy Holidays everyone!!
It’s challenging to stay grounded with quite a few ‘live wires’ bringing a ‘charge’ to “Urbansurvival” discourse today.
Meanwhile the President of the Ukraine in Kyiv posted about his awarding of state honors to attending energy workers “For Labour and Courage” on the occasion of Power Engineer’s Day.
Separately PM Mrs. Sverydenko uploaded a high production value video clip of her weekend visit to the frontline region of Zaporizhia. Her various whistlestops appeared warmly received including that at City Hospital No. 4 where “doctors work 24/7 and often travel to patients under drones and shelling”.

re: “cartoon excuse”; Banksy
feat: Liminal [new tower; (0,0); The Firm; connect dots; Harry Potter] ¿’fast pace’?
Look up. The following is threaded together with support from ChatGPT regarding a “controlled communication operation” in 1586 and other matters.
Banksy’s IG account depicts his latest official mural at Queen’s Mews, Bayswater, London (W2 4BZ) featuring two lying down children in raingear pointing to the heavens. A similar but not identical unacknowledged-thus-far mural appeared days prior in front of the Point Centre building in St. Giles (WC1A 1DB).
Queen’s Mews is situated a block north of Moscow Road by way of Salem Road. ChatGPT offers that the vegetation to one side of this mural is mugwort (genus artemesia) sometimes mistaken for a thistle. Mugwort is an ingredient in at least three Harry Potter herbal compilations. Queen Artemisia (“protection + sudden death”) from what is now modern day Bodrum, Turkey was the only woman Admiral in the fleet and allied with Persian King Xerxes ( “ruling hero”) during naval battles of the Greco-Persian Wars circa 480-479 bc.
This past weekend ChatGPT noted a unique 1st century Roman structure ruin, Villa Cardilio, near Torres Neves (“New Towers”), Portugal. The town is birthplace of last week’s alleged university and MIT shooter who was found deceased in Salem. On a first pass, ChatGPT translated Cardilio from Latin as “hinge, (on the road of a north-south) axis”. Two subsequent passes saw ChatGPT change its mind saying cardilio actually best translates as “a place of thorns”.
The Centre Point building sitting at major London crossroads, sometimes described as a hinge or axis property, was one of London’s first skyscrapers when completed in 1966. It remained empty office floorplate until 1975 and became a symbol of empty space in a city of housing shortages. Ten years ago, the tower was converted into luxury flats and is a desired address for the wealthy. The original 1966 developer leased the land that the tower sits on. However the new owners as of 2011 registered the land as freehold under the corporate name Almacantar (Arabic: “the arches”). In English, an almacantar is “a floating reference circle, dependent on where the observer stands”. ChatGPT asks if the Centre Point building is a false centre.
In medieval times, the Centre Point building site appeared on the map as St. Giles-in-the-Fields at the crossroads of main rural thoroughfares. St. Giles is one of the 14 Holy Helpers. Legend has it that he had contact with Emperor Charlemagne who allegedly went to the grave with an “unspeakable sin”. By Tudor times, St. Giles-in-the-Fields hosted the gallows. The most famous executed was Anthony Babington in 1586. He communicated by cypher letters with Mary, Queen of Scots (MR) in a plot to overthrow Queen Elizabeth I (ER). Agents of the latter intercepted and decoded the letters.
The mural at the Centre Point site includes “4ER”, “Myce” and a mushroom having 4 dots followed by the letter “R”.
ChatGPT’s food for thought:
– Banksy uses cyphers spatially not numerically.
– The mural is a semiotic cypher not a mathematical one.
– “Banksy works like mycelium in a city run by Mycrofts” (Holmes).
– The mural has a “postural resonance” with comet 3I/Atlas.
I have maxed out my ChatGPT allowance for this time period.
Jester. For $25 a month Cdn plus tax , you can move to ChatGPT plus. I made the move 2 weeks ago and have to say, it is like changing conversation from grade school level to doctorate level. No limitations either.

Prep the Mold
Lightly grease the silicone mold with coconut oil or cooking spray.
Place it on a firm tray or plate for easy transfer to the fridge/freezer.
2. Make the Caramel
In a small saucepan, melt butter, coconut oil, and brown sugar over medium heat.
Stir constantly until the mixture bubbles and thickens (about 4–5 minutes).
Add cream and salt, stir well, and cook another 1–2 minutes until smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla if using.
Let cool slightly before using.
3. Melt the Chocolate or make the chocolate in a fondue pot or double boiler.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
Assemble the Layers
Spoon or pipe a thin layer of melted chocolate into each mold cavity. Tilt or tap the mold to coat the sides.
Chill for 5–10 minutes to set.( in the freezer works the best)
Add a spoonful of chopped pecans to each cavity.
Spoon or pipe caramel over the nuts, filling about ¾ of the way.
Top with more melted chocolate to seal.
5. Chill and Unmold
Refrigerate for 1–2 hours or freeze for 30–45 minutes until fully set.
Carefully pop out each tree from the mold.

“CBS News Pulls “60 Minutes” Story on Trump Sending Venezuelans to El Salvador Prison – and Torturing Them – Promoted, Then Erased (Photo, Teaser) – Showbiz411 And so pressure on Bari Weiss now?”
The “pressure” is Trump’s $6bln lawsuit against the BBC, which he is likely to win. DJT has already sued CBS and “60 Minutes” once and won (a settlement.) No prisoners tortured, therefore, should CBS run the story, Trump will own CBS by the time he leaves office – and Roseanne Barr will be running it.

“Dumb” charger (bigass transformer, not sexy, nonfunctional electronics)
I’ve always preferred dumb chargers for most uses, though modern cars with their electronics tend to like more finesse. Their parasitic loads with the key off are abominable, and a battery can go low enough in voltage that the electronics won’t allow the car to crank after even a few days of non-use. A modern charger with a transformer and bridge rectifier can be surgically modified to include a dumb switch for direct charging, though the fancier ones are probably best left alone.
One thought I’ve had but not yet implemented is to wire a relay into the ignition/acc circuit that will activate the main parasitic loads, which would be totally powered off when the key is removed. I really don’t care that the car has to relearn its fuel trims, etc. On some cars that even includes the radio even when supposedly powered off directly! I’ve always hated key fobs and their unnecessary functionality and when I get a car, the fobs immediately go into my pile of unknown keys and lock parts. They’ve always caused more trouble than they’re worth. I need to carry lots of keys almost all the time just to do the various things I do around here. My vehicles are old enough that a fob is not necessary for normal operation.
Now Mike, if you REALLY want to see some current Dumb Chargers, head to any Big Box store and observer the people in line. Dumb Chargers come in batteries and batallions, now!
