Boom Times Ahead Fade – Next Book Plans

The Road to War is now rolling over into Electric Avenue with a potentially shocking escalation looming as the Ukraine War on Russia is – in market terms – sub-dividing.

I better explain that concept a bit.

The runaway rally of the global markets should – under many concepts of valuation – have peaked several times over.  Long-haul investors – like Warren Buffett see it clear as day and have pulled billions off the table. But let’s have a look at how this “subdividing” takes place.

As you know, we look at the market as a whole cloth.  At one point in an economic cycle, conservative stocks (food and necessaries) dominate.  While at another, the current cycle’s “Coming to Save Us” – which is A.I. in this run – roll to the fore.

Our odd way of analyzing markets – which aims to take the silliness off the table – is to combine equal dollars in each of three sub-markets to come up with an approximation of total money in play at all times.  I call this the Aggregate Index.  Actually, there are two indices.  A U.S. market and the tightly parallel Global index.

I won’t say which of the “financial” networks had the stupidest headline of several years on Thursday, but it went to the idea that the market rally – clearly a manipulation so the rich can exit before War – was due to “Investors rolling out of A.I.”  Logically, it doesn’t hold water. Because the Aggregate Index didn’t go to a new high.  Instead – through the close Thursday – we saw the markets as continuing a “bounce of a trend channel.”

While we could get interested down the road (perhaps) facts are facts.  The U.S. debt is now (according to Truth in Accounting) in the vicinity of $36.2 trillion – the publicly admitted debt.  While the real, actual is more than $157 trillion because of baked-in interest that can never be forgiven. See here for the current numbers.  The Official US Gov numbers lag a bit (but what’s a third of a trillion between friends, right?) Debt to the Penny | U.S. Treasury Fiscal Data.

So let’s consider the market’s “field position” when the game was called last night.

We will save the charts of the Global (and how the U.S. is doing relatively speaking) for tomorrow’s Peoplenomics report.  For now, let’s focus on what we have as a possible (“You light up my life“) future.

Let’s assume Ralph N. Elliott was pretty smart and that markets move in semi-predictable “waves” of investor sentiment.  There are impulsive waves – where investors sort of lock-in with one-another and run off in one direction. Up or down doesn’t matter.  What matters is the “lock.”  We call such waves impulsive. Oftentimes, these are five-wave affairs.

When the market runs up, eventually the effects of the bubbly wears off.  When it reversed – upon too many investors sobering up – the course of trading reverses into what’s again (often) a three-wave reversal.

The proportions are what matter next.  When you get a big wave 1 down, the reversal from the locked herd is often 50 percent.  Which we are near as this week ends.

Here’s how the Aggregate was closing through yesterday for the past several days from the all-time high hit Veterans Day.

2024-11-2050499.47
2024-11-2150722.86

Since we can see the high ( 51388.35and the subsequent low – which we will hypothecate as the low of minor 1 down from a possible ATH –  was 50051.25.

A bit of simple math suggests (on a daily closing basis of the U.S. Aggregate) that we declined (in minor 1) a total of 1,337.1 points.

Two closing numbers look attractive to us in here (remember, none of this is financial advice – I’m just an old “kook in the woods”, right? ).  The first would be a 50 percent “bounce for a minor 2” OR a (Fibonacci) 0.618 bounce.  So for the first the bound would add 668.55 to the low while a Fibo bounce (as they are called) would add 826.33.

Now it gets to be fun: we take the 50,051.25 and add 50 percent of the decline back in, which would mean a close around 50,719.80.  Given the Aggregate close Thursday was what?

50722.86

We take it that a 50 percent minor Wave 2 could be done. In my work, when the target and the actual are within six one-thousandths of one percent, we will call it good.  So this means that the next news headlines that come along (assuming 50 percent in “our number” to put it in craps table terms – or the point ) THEN we should pull in a few more suckers early and then close slightly lower.  Followed by Big Scary News (likely over the weekend or in the Monday pre-open) and then Minor 3 Down ought to begin.

Since I hold oodles of “just out of the money long-term put options for Q2 2025 this begins to act suspiciously like a Big Cash Machine.

EXCEPT!  *(And this is why I tell you this is NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE!) there is a chance that we could rally at the close today and work up to the next-higher inflection point – the Fibo bounce – in which case the market ought to rise a tiny bit more at today’s close to about 50,877.58.

Which leaves the door open for what, another  154.72 points higher at the close today (or even Monday).

Still, you get the idea: markets are semi-predictable within bounds and guesses need to be hedged just a certain way that’s a big different than the Gaussian “normal” distribution.  Probably because us humans ain’t quite normal.  But enough of this damn “pencil work.”  Our consigliere will be in Sunday night for a week to 10-days; longer if the nukes fly.

3DD Planning Focus

We keep getting jingles (as in bells) from several directions about the possibility of the 3DD – Three Days of Darkness.  Which, we’re careful to say is speculative, would be a good analogy for a global Net Hard Down. Comes from seers and prognosticators.

Whether the current escalation of missile use against Russia will be allowed to continue remains an area ripe with speculation.  In the past few days, since the U.S. and Britain OK’d the use of their weapons (which everyone knows has some local talent helping the Ukrainians to fire) Russia has likely been back at there targeting boards.

Meanwhile, Slow Joe is putting you deeper in hock: Biden Sends Another $275 Million to Ukraine Before Trump Takes Office.  Oh, and he’s forgiving more than $4 billion in debts owed by Ukraine to US!

Trump’s HR Roulette

And then we have the “dummies who dummy up” problem: FBI Dir. Wray and DHS Secretary Mayorkas Refuse to Testify Publicly.  Kinda of hard for a do-nothing congress to claim to be in session, isn’t it, when this kind of slop’s going down?

Around the Ranch: Next Book Plans

With Amazon getting my latest book (The Doctor Between Your Ears: Practicing Practical Longevity) online (buy here), the inevitable question comes up “What will the next book be?”

Been thinking about Downsizing a lot. First, because we have done it and second because it’s one of the sure-fire ways to “de-fang” Big government.  while I admire Elon and Vivek (the DOGE brothers) the simplest way to rein-in government is to cut of it’s financial nuts.  Make less money. Use the tax code, and don’t invest in fads and fashion.

The first book I wrote – circa 2001 – was “How to Live on $10,000 a year, or less.”  Which can still be found on line and it’s 4-editions better.

But $10,000 isn’t going to work today, unless you add the weasel-phrase “Per Person” and cover two people.   Or, you’d figure out inflation on $10,000 since 2001 and title the book “Downsizing: Living on and inflation-adjusted $17,758.56 per year.”

There is a very serious reason for serializing this next book on Peoplenomics: because Social Security benefits will likely be reduced by 25 percent (or more, depending how economic collapse rolls in 2025-2026 works outy).

Like any other grand strategic move in business, you need to be decisive and early.  The late will “miss breakfast” in this kind of world.

Let me know what you think – I like to keep writing a book because it gives the mind something to focus on.  Keeps me looking at whatever is coming next. Like this just done Longevity book does.

OK, tax attorney comes in Sunday night so expect shorter columns next week, though I expect you to tryptophan load enough (*via turkey and gravy and scale-busting sides) that you may not notice.

  1. Europe dying, euro dying.

MARTIN ARMSTRONG: European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde has warned that Europe’s bolstering welfare state is at risk due to its declining economic environment. Lagarde said the EU “will not be able to generate the wealth we will need to meet our rising spending needs to ensure our security, combat climate change and protect the environment.”
Rather than considering whether these measures are essential, Lagarde believes that the European Union must work to integrate all member state economies into one to prevent “fragmenting into rival blocs, where attitudes toward free trade are being called into question.” A unified Europe to end all wars with a uniform currency. The euro was doomed to fail from the onset. Everything from failing to consolidate member debt to ignoring sovereignty spelled trouble.
The structure of the euro is fundamentally flawed.

  2. Hopefully if the bird flu does really get cranking, the mammalian cell vaccine will be modified to include it. That would allow individuals with real and imaginary egg allergies to participate. Since I switched over to the mammalian cell vaccine, winter allergies and illnesses have been much improved.

  3. Goes without saying but my thought is go with your next book project. Diana and I are in the same game right now. The recent move from our beloved El Rancho de Chaos saw us downsize hugely but mostly just in “stuff” and that nearly killed me. Now we have the new challenges of a bigger house and changes in the focus of our new ranch life. As usual your thoughts and humor can be inspiring .

  4. You know I got to thinking about the 25% potential cut in SS you mentioned – and then that immediately brought to mind Trump’s campaign promise of no tax of SS benefits. So, I now conjecture he will not tax SS benefits after they cut them 25% – promise kept and good luck – the cut is most likely a 50% increase on SS taxes.

      • “work up a 5 percent inflation rate for four years”

    • We are in our mid 60’s; IF these cuts go through, we are dropping our life insurance policies.

Wonder how those life insurance companies are going to fare when dramatically more people start dying off (from the Covid vaccine) and then just drop their policies due to SS cut?

      Lotsa payouts; lotsa losses.

      • It was designed as a biowarfare weapon.. they won’t pay out if its proven to be caused by a weapon of war. its the same thing when the puppeteers incite demonstrations and destruction in poor neighborhoods.. insurance companies have a clause in their policies that gives them the right to not make any payments..the same with an act of god. just ask anyone that has lost everything from a hurricane..

        • Also, I heard just last week that in the U.S. and its territories the COVID vaccines are still under an EUA. Experimental or “emergency use” vaccines are not covered by any insurance, unless one’s policy specifically says it covers the specific vaccine, against a specified malady…

  5. re: downsizing
Something our household will be focused on in the coming year. We’re at the age that ~50% of our stuff is under-used or is in the ‘will never use again’ category. We would like to accomplish this in the current house and then leverage the momentum into a move to another home.
Living on the side of a mountain has been nice most of the time but no sun after 2pm in the winter has gotten old and we’d both like somewhere flat enough to enjoy a bit of yard to grow things.
Right now its mainly trying to get all the health issues beat back to increase our tempo of action.

Always something… Good luck to us All

    • I saw a movie once about a family living on the side of a mountain where another mountain cut off the sun early in the day. In Appalachia I think. I had never realized the possibility before. I dislike Daylight Savings Time because it gets dark by 5 pm.

Couldn’t even get a buzz on that summer. Temps were above the boiling point of boze, yessir… (well, SORT of…)

      • We hope so.

The only slight redemption, is all the leaves will be gone in another month. This at least allows for ‘sky light’.

During the summer, there are times we’ll leave the house thinking it’s fairly cloudy but get to the bottom of the hill and there isn’t a cloud in the sky. !BLINK!

  11. i saw Clif left X. deleted his account and all its content..

to clif i say, carry on wayword son.

    “roll to the fore.”

    very nicely said.

you know i relized otw to the gym, i had placed a book on my website banner prior to recieving this book.

where from the moment Pope Leo XIII signed it, it began its 145 year journey to my hands. 91 years before i was born. only to arrive at its destination: me, 33 days after i posted a similar image on my website banner.

i have been slow in my roll asking the #1 Question: What can this become?

and now i have my answer.

i will only say a few things with reguards to This Book.

it is not for the curious mind of the spiritually immature. and age has nothing to do with with being spiritually mature. The Book is empowered and embued with Theodicy.

meaning the peering eyes of evil can not look apon it contents. it would drive them mad.

    it is mind blowing stuff.

i will say that is quite the revelation that Mary (Jesus’s Mom) penned The Book of Peter before she took sail to the Library of Alexandria. and Cezar burned all the ships in the harbor.

and you know of course that some of parables Jesus Spoke are not just about heaven and hell, they are also about “Governing Bodies” through out history and the chasim between their worlds. such as the Story of The Rich Man and Lazurus. These are Historical Empires or Governing Bodies, that are very much still active in today. neither the Rich Man nor Lazerous were evil per say but their destinations were quite opposite and are still in motion today and the chasim between each, very much real. the chasm grows between each by policy of indifference in the hearts of each empire. it clearly states, it is not evil to be rich and it is not good to be poor. it is not good to be rich and evil to be poor. it is indiference that is evil. the more one is indifferent toward the other, the chasim grows. that is spiritul power, seperated the continents on earth by vast oceans. the final destination of the Rich Man (empire) is His indifference to suffering of Lazerath. where he asks Abraham to have Lazerath dip his finger in water and touch his tongue. and Where in life, Lazerath had dogs lick his wounds. These are very real empires very much still alive today. their desitations and the Chasim between them.

in The Book is written by Men who passed the tests of The Roman Caholic Church only by being undestputably and undeniably empowerd by God himself. had they not passed the test? they would have been burned as heritics.

The Book clearly adresses the Reader, You Dear Reader have entered into Theodicy. you would not be reading This Book had you not been tested and found indisputably and undeniably Empowered by God Himself. Any who would come against you would face the fire of the Theodicy. It is God Himself who protects you and all of creation is at His Command.

So i take it very seriously and i wont speak of it again.

    roll to the fore. indeed.

  12. Phew.. amazed again.. my tomato plants died the second week of September..the first cold night.. now there’s a guy he has deep well hydroponics in a five gallon bucket..two days ago it was still filled with tomatoes.. he picked them I thought for sure it would die that night high winds cold snowing .. I had on winter duds .. yesterday I wandered over while taking FANG for a walk ( her name isn’t want lol) that snowy day did have some effects ..a few whichever levels but it was still alive..his pepper plants flowers everything still looking great.
I checked.. water should be frozen..but the air stone has kept it liquid..no heater..I thought maybe warm water giving the area around the plants a false environment… still blown away..memories of photos of men in Antarctica in bathing suits a warm pool and green plants around them and a wall of ice behind them came to mind.. nope nothing like that at all..I was baffled as baffled as the woman that I worked with that had an old family recipe and process to freeze tomatoes that was so unique that when they thawed The tomatoes weren’t mushy from cell expansion from freezing them.
she was going to pass on the procedure for prepping the tomatoes but got cancer and died leaving the secret recipe lost to time..for almost fifty years I have tried so many ways in an attempt to discover their old family process..none of them worked at all.. this is just as baffling to me..from everything I have looked at.. there isn’t anything different than what anyone of us would do..
I am totally stumped..I thought he maybe was taking them in.. but nope they sit outside..no real particular sheltering ..
just baked a loaf of fresh bread.. great bread.. hot buttered and peanut butter..time to feed the starter..make some cinnamon rolls tomorrow..

        • lol lol.. that’s my problem to… heck I look at them and swell up.. lol lol must be some sort of allergic reaction lol lol
well an update on those amazing deep water hydroponic plants… the cold finally got them last night they are finally finished for the season…but.. that dies have me thinking…2 months longer while everyone else’s had finished for the year…can a person have a year round hydroponic garden ???

  13. to the reader i speak with regularly on X who frequents here.

Pope Leo XIII Vision was that satan was afforded 100 years to prepare for his asault on The Church. exactly 33 years before the miracle of the sun at Fatima – the time started. 100 years later was 2017, that is when Satan was to begin his destruction of the Church.

it is mis translation that Satan said he could destroy the church 100 from the vision. the correct understanding of the Battle would begin after 100 years of preperation by Satan, the clock started after the miracle of the sun at Fatima.

and in 2017 Satan began his first onslaught battle, with the forces he accumulate durring his (100 years of preperation) to detroy the Church.

first battle is a germ. and in 2019 we had the Pandemic.

i did not know about Pope Leo XIII vision until you mentioned it which resulted in his apeal to the Arch Angel Michael.

it clearly states in the Book, Jesus did not speak idle words. nor is any word in this book idle. everything witten within this book is meant to be in it.

one other thing i will mention,
there is a small account of a chinese man at the age 19, in the book. in the year 1850 he entering into a Catholic Church seeking God, carrying a germ/sickness that he eventually dies of. an unknown lung and heart anomally. 169 years before covid 19.

like i said, this is not a book for the curiouse mind of the spiritually immature. and age has nothing to do with being spiritually mature.

i will begin building my hiuse this weekend. since the foundation has been provided.

    • Aha. I hadn’t considered this. There is a 100 year precedent. On June 17 1689, the French king was commanded by Jesus consecrate France to Jesus Sacred Heart. It wasn’t done so one hundred years later to the day the King of France was stripped of his legislative authority leading to his death and the French revolution removing the power of the church from the country.

1917 was also the year of the Russian revolution starting the spread of Communism through the world. There’s also the 400th anniversary of the protestant reformation. It might be related.

The book was commissioned by the Archbishop of Ephesus, Turkey. Ephesus is ruins now. You mentioned 100 years after the miracle of Fatima. The days around that 100th anniversary were the best of my life. I was in Ephesus in Mary’s house and the ruins of the library, walked through Scavi catacombs under the Vatican, went in the Hagia Sophia, walked in the footsteps of in Nostradamus in Aix en Provence, climbed the Acropolis, and had several other experiences in days before and after the 100th Fatima miracle anniversary.

You’ve shared some things for me to meditate on Andy. Thank you.

    • Oops, my math was slightly off, I was in those places on the 96th anniversary. I got confused because the Pope made the historic Fatima consecration the day before I arrived in Rome in early October 2013.

  14. I don’t quite know where this belongs, so I’ll just drop it here:

    https://www.thebrighterside.news/discoveries/time-may-be-an-illusion-new-study-finds/

It seems that according to this new(er) idea, time may actually be a function of quantum entanglement rather than the invariant deemed so by current quantum mechanical theory. I’ve never seen time as an invariant, just something we can’t measure as to it’s constancy.

All I know of time is that I have less of it each day!

    • Wait – what ? No vids/pics of obongo at diddy’s ?

You know they are out there, jamie fox, chris tucker..on and on the list goes. Biebs tied down, puff and sonS taking turns, Biebrerfeieber crying out from “putting in the work”, just like meek mill..good thing there was pool avail for “sitz baths”..

Shall I tell em about the hard boiled egg “screening” test in Hollywood for Men ?
Wondering where his missing adopted Daughter (White Girl) is ? Lets hope she is not one of the “recyclable” “pizza boxes” diddy was recorded talking from his jailhouse privilege’s- outside call about.

Study his Face (s) and learn to recognize what EVIL/Darkness looks like -and I aint referring to skin color.

    Folks,

President Zelinskiy has dropped a psa message for government bureaucrats. If air raid sirens sound, proceed to a shelter. However, please don’t take a day off waiting for the sirens to alarm.

It would appear that the logic circuits of the AI generated C-Span transcript to yesterday’s Boston Celtics White House visit was seriously tested by the Commander-in-Chief. He was presented with a #46 Celtics jersey which as far as I can tell is a number never game-worn by an American Celtic’s player. One sincerely hopes that the President has further opportunity to leave remarks for posterity than the baneful self-recrimination following 10m30s. Almost 20 minutes of moving pictures followed while the President mixed and mingled with selfie-seeking smartphone users. As the alloted 30 minute timeslot wound down, instrumental strains on the 48th anniversary of the release of “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas from their “Leftoverture” album filled the air.

    • correction:
Actually, “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath was the final outro, I believe. Kansas was second last.

  17. Just closed out my DJIA play [ based on Nvidia reporting] open it on the 20th when the Dow crossed over 43,350 – now at 44,180 up around 830 points for the trade [ a bet, simply a hunch-bet ] did pretty good.
    .
I am out of here for few days. Taking Amtrac – booked a sleeper – “Once more into the breech, dear friends” – another invite to a private game., kind of a high ‘buy-in’ but I have been told there is one “really good “player [ according to whom?] attending that I haven’t played yet., but that I may know the dealer.., [ all my contacts go thru ‘Lady Fingers’ and no one knows my real name. She has even taken to calling me by my, jokingly ‘Game-Name’.]
Wish me luck.., [ or, not..,]

  18. .., and before I go – A cyber-security expert – who works for some of the largest financial banks and institutions said this morning in a conference call – that from what he has been looking at since the election is that Chinese hackers are preparing for all out war.

    • Cyber attack preps to consider.
      Short term:
      1. Have paper records of all accounts and property titles in Ure possession. Don’t leave home for an extended period without them.
      2. Have offline back-ups of personal files. A monthly back-up to a thumb drive kept in a specific location will work.
      3. Use security software, including for the cell phones and Linux ($$$). I also have a secure commercial-grade firewall server for the home that I put together.

      Medium term:
      1. Rotate at least a couple of fuel top-offs. I have a fuel cache set up away from the house. For gasoline, use non-ethanol with a storage stabilizer. I rotate every few weeks. Currently I am rotating about 18 gallons. For diesel, I rotate more, with a 2 year stabilizer. If I had a serviceable diesel vehicle, I would get a storage tank.
      2. Get a bicycle in operating condition, with spares. Get a helmet and elbow pads, and use them. I ride with long abrasion-resistant pants. Screw the team sports look. A rear rack with baskets or large panniers is minimum equipment. A good bicycle cargo trailer is the next upgrade. In addition, I have a rig that will allow me to transport a bicycle AND pull a small covered cargo trailer with my SUV.
If you haven’t ridden in years, practice every day for a few months on a grass or dirt path before riding on the road. When I started riding again, it took me a couple of months to get my balance back to where I wasn’t a danger to myself and others. It takes longer to get the muscles back in tone. Bicycles and walking/jogging use different muscles.
      3. Be prepared to gather and purify water from non-officious sources.
      4. Have food and preps for at least a one week power outage.

      Longer term preps:
      1. Be prepared to go without power, gas, municipal water, comms or resupply for at least a month.
      2. Cache food and ammo.
      3. Be prepared to relocate to a plan B location. Do not leave records, firearms or anything anyone can use to screw you in a relocation. You won’t do this with a knapsack or the trunk of Ure Lexus. You may only get one shot at it, which is why you need to think it through, and rotate fuel.
      4. Read.

  19. Rec’d email today, pension increase for next year is 2.7%, and Dec 24 payment on the 17th. We’re heading into 2025.

  20. Got my vevor ozone machine last week & then saw same at Amazon returns bins store, friend bought for $3. Sweetens the air. Setup the shuffleboard table, has mold so good got the ozone generator. Just need to move plants 1st.
    Vic

  21. “Still $25 million overpaid as we see it, but: MSNBC Deals Humiliating $5M Pay Cut to Rachel Maddow. (Our performance reviews must be a lot tougher, huh?)”

She makes $30 MILLION for 52 appearances (she only does one Mad Cow show per week.) Cutting her to under a half-mil per week is still outrageous. If she were paid for value she’d be banking about $5000/wk.

  22. Ok this is fair warning – finally saw the crypto light and dived into buying MSTR (nice profit) and opened Coinbase account. This is the uber contrarian indicator. The fat lady is singing and the curtains are coming down, the opera – the drama – is over. The audience are leaving the theatre and heading home, happy in the memory of the best of days.
