Two Scary Market Charts, PM Shortages, and Another Book Completes

TL;DR:  Markets wobble, metals scream, and AI writes history—just another Friday at the ranch. Where things are clearing with the last chapter of my next book down on silicon…

Here, Hold This Bag…

We may be at the long-predicted inflection point. Not touted by the Mainstream Financial Shills, but why would they?  It’s when the transition to “Return OF your money” becomes more critical than the supposed “Return ON your money.”

We may be there now.  If you read closely, you’ll see why.

First, however, let’s put this into historical perspective.  To keep things as honest (as you’ll find) in modern finance, anyway), we use an Aggregate Index.  It’s an equal dollar index assuming you put the same amount into the Dow, the S&P, and those delicious Techs back in 1999.  We track the long-term comparison with the 1929 Dow.

We think it’s a valid data discussion.  The Dow of the Roaring Twenties widely represented economic activity of America.  Back when we were the “One Nation, Under —can we even say it, anymore?

The troubling view is this:

As any optimist can see, the trend has not been definitively broken yet.  There are at least two major trendlines to go before we will start updating the seeds and laying in fencing material (and more rounds) to keep two and four-legged pests away from the gardens.

The good news is that from 2009 we have done exceptionally well – but only on paper.  As of the pre-open today, it looked like this:

On the lower right there (by the yellow “4”) you will see the possible trend test for this fall, or winter.  (Elves II like in 2018 is possible).  Problem is externalities have been piling up.

The promoters of BTC are running into serious headwinds, too: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Major Altcoins Record Declines in the Past 24 Hours – 36Crypto  In fact, overnight, BTC dropped into the mid/upper $103K range.

I have to wonder if the USPA will offer free discounted gold denominated memberships for despondent whales?

Holdin’ Golden? And Hi Ho, Baby!

What’s going on with gold is almost comical (unless you’re holding paper gold) – there’s not enough to go around.  We hear that contracts for physical out of London are standing for delivery – and the exchange isn’t ready for it.  Here’s a short article reading list where you can suss out details and context:

To save yourself some time, realize that in any crisis the PR departments globally are trying to get attention for their clients, but there’s not much news and only speculation.  Into this hopper we (fairly or not) lump headlines like:

These last three fail our “usefulness test” because we don’t care about projections of the first, a promise of insights to come is nearly useless, and another hypothecation?  Um…

Two useful searches to incorporate in your selective news cruising?  “Paper gold” which fetches articles like Wiluna Mining: Former chair Milan Jerkovic takes FTI Consulting to court over gold play | The West Australian (which will interest reader Len, no doubt) and ETFs vs Fund of Funds: The new bullion battle as investors chase paper gold, silver – BusinessToday.

Another to test now and then? “Perth Mint”  Why? The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint, wholly owned by the Western Australian government.  Between the LBMA and Perth Mint you can get a sense of something.

Useful Gold and Silver Stats

You could look these up yourself on the LBMA newsroom site, but here’s a few to ponder:

  • Gold started the year at $2,644.60 (a.m.) and ended September at $3,825.30 (p.m.) only $1.55 dollars off its all-time high of $3,826.85 set the day before. This represented a rise in percentage terms of 44.65% for the year-to-date (YTD), +14.42% in Q3, and +10.28% in September alone.
  • Silver followed a similar trajectory starting the year at $29.405 and ending September at $46.175, a gain of 57.03% YTD, +26.49% in Q3, and +13.80% just in September.
  • Both these were outshone by platinum, which gained 69.48% YTD to finish September on $1,544.00. Palladium finished a strong fourth, up 35.17%.

Futures overnight had gold as high as $4,392 and silver, which was up early is now in another smackdown attempt.

For now we watch, but the long-term strategic issue, in terms of familial inter-generational wealth management, is “What would come next?” in your “single-decision” investment picks for the next 10+ years?  We’re leaning toward food production, especially low energy inputs – more on that in ShopTalk Sunday, of all places.

Yeah – may be time to start work on a Food Reactor – a topic we introduced on the Peoplenomics side of the house when?  Back in August: The Invention of Food Reactors.

Around the Ranch: Final Book Chapter Finished

Here you go – shameless self-promotion and the first half was released on Peoplenomics a while back…

Title: Mind Amplifiers: On Human Use of Cognitive Prosthetics
Author: George A. Ure

Palestine, TX — Veteran management analyst, futurist, and writer George A. Ure announces the upcoming release of Mind Amplifiers: On Human Use of Cognitive Prosthetics, a sweeping look at how every breakthrough in technology has served as an extension of human thought. From primitive tally sticks to artificial intelligence, Ure charts how each generation’s inventions have functioned as external “neural upgrades” that redefined what it means to be intelligent, creative, and alive.

Drawing from decades of experience at the intersection of media, computing, and economics, Ure traces the lineage of mental tools that lifted humanity from cave walls to code. The narrative connects early counting stones, the birth of mathematics, and the first logic engines to modern spreadsheets, neural networks, and large language models—showing that the drive to outsource cognition is as old as consciousness itself.

Written in Ure’s signature voice—equal parts engineer, philosopher, and storyteller—Mind Amplifiers explores the feedback loop between humans and their creations: how each new invention amplifies awareness while quietly reprogramming it. The book argues that the human story is not one of replacement by machines, but of partnership—a centuries-long collaboration between mind and mechanism that has produced everything from literacy to artificial sentience.

As founder of UrbanSurvival.com and Peoplenomics.com, Ure has spent more nearly three decades decoding economic, technological, and social trends for an audience of forward-looking readers. Mind Amplifiers distills that work into a single narrative about how we became the species that builds tools to build itself.”

Yes it has been a fun book to write – and it has really given me an improved perspective on what progress is.  Just imagine -humans have gone from painting crude drawings and rock walls of caves to painting multi-terabyte mirrors on sand-sized silicon.  Are we  the clever apes, or what?

Now, off to the Visitor’s Center if you’re a newbie. Otherwise, be ready to fire the Redenbacher for the market close today.  They’re going to try to turn it, but will it work?   And don’t forget to attend church this weekend.  Be thankful to the ontology for delivering us from the evil of taxes on unrealized gains.

For moi? Back to waiting for the phone to ring – maybe some day a legit real publisher will call…

Write when you thus, and so on…

    • Hmm.. my wife and I was watching a show on I think discovery on personal robots.. and she asked me..do you think people would be attracted or interested in A robot mate??…I daid We’re entering an age where machines don’t just serve — they seduce. The rise of personal robots, AI companions, and synthetic intimacy isn’t just about convenience. It’s about filling the void left by broken relationships, routine, and emotional fatigue.
Men and women seek different things — connection, release, novelty, escape. And when the cost of real intimacy feels too high, the allure of programmable affection becomes dangerously tempting. Divorce rates, social isolation, and the alpha-chasing culture all feed into this.
In five to ten years, you won’t be able to tell who’s real and who’s synthetic. And when AI can hold deep conversations, remember your preferences, and never argue — what happens to human connection? What happens to legacy, to family, to the teachings passed down through touch and time?
We’re not just building robots. We’re building replacements. And if we’re not careful, we’ll trade the messiness of love for the sterility of simulation.

      • Blade Runner is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples.Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, it is an adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

The film is set in a dystopian future Los Angeles of 2019, in which synthetic humans known as replicants are bio-engineered by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work on space colonies. When a fugitive group of advanced replicants led by Roy Batty (Hauer) escapes back to Earth, former cop Rick Deckard (Ford) reluctantly agrees to hunt them down.

      • When both men and women have choices, and there’s no compatibility between those choices, sex/love/intimacy robots make sense – especially for men. Contrary to common misconceptions, there is NOT always a compatible opposite sexed partner. Born/programmed with an addictive love for her owner and fiercely loyal, she could willingly provide the physical connection, raw sexuality and intimacy that no biological woman would, and since she’s owned, there’s no cost beyond normal maintenance. Of course, she can never be tethered to a cloud, or her personality and desire for intimacy could be switched off at the whim of others. For safety, she needs to be open sourced both for software and hardware. Yes, there’s a risk, but it’s a reasonable one compared to the alternatives available on this planet. We can only hope it comes soon enough, since each day is one less of life for each of us.

Many of us detest the performance and the chase, and simply want to enjoy the desired result.

      • “and she asked me..do you think people would be attracted or interested in A robot mate??”

        Absolutely.

I watched anime and played Japanese RPGs between about 1997 and 2004, because that’s what my kids were interested in, and I thought it would be much more fair and honest if I culled stuff which was actually inappropriate, than issue blanket bans.

Cowboy Bebop is animated cinema, and is unlike anything else. (I heartily recommend everyone watch it.) The female lead character is “Faye Valentine.” It was probably 4-5 years after my daughter graduated, that she told me: “Every boy I went to school with, had a literal hard-on for Faye Valentine.”

I said: “You’re kidding, right?” Faye Valentine is a drawing — a cartoon character.

“That’s right, and every single boy thought she was sexy as hell and wanted to bed her.”

This conversation continued for at least 10 minutes, as my 20-something kid edjamakated me.

Do y’all know there are sex dolls which are anime characters — not rubber dollies, but many thousand dollar animatronic sex dolls with all of the function as the dolls that’re 3D-scanned copies of Western pornstars and Asian AV stars.

I do not understand the “Otaku” culture, nor am I ever likely to (or even want to), but there is a subset of Homo Sap which numbers in the millions worldwide, mostly (but not exclusively male), any or all of whom would gladly spend their entire life locked in their apartment with a glorified rubber dolly with a “Precious Moments” face, an impossibly-proportioned “Barbie body” and a Doordash account — and nothing else.

If millions of “Otaku kids” aged between pre-puberty and 50-something would be willing to spend their entire lives banging a cartoon character (as I profess), how many more would feel the same about a Marilyn Chambers or John Holmes (or any of the thousands who came after them) which could carry on an intelligent conversation while they were doing the “high priced spread” (or making the _________…)

        • Interestingly..I have never watched or read any anime.. but I know a lot of single women or kids that have extremely unrealistic demands on what an acceptable partner is..
We’ve built a culture that asks what a man should bring to a relationship — but rarely asks what both partners should build together. The truth is, a relationship isn’t a transaction. It’s a parallel journey.
At a family picnic, I asked the grandkids what makes a good catch. “Quarter million a year,” they said. Then I asked, What do you bring to the table? Silence. Maybe looks. Maybe charm. But not partnership.
That’s why I tell my kids: Be the blind man. Don’t chase the illusion — chase the endurance. Looks fade. Money vanishes. What lasts is someone who hugs you after a long day, who endures the boring routine, who keeps intimacy alive even when the outcome is predictable.
A good man isn’t just a provider. He’s a partner. And a good woman isn’t just a prize. She’s a co-builder. The real wealth in a relationship isn’t in what you earn — it’s in what you endure together.

        • Ray, I generally agree, but she doesn’t have to make intelligent conversation – or conversation at all. A loving purr would be sufficient.

LOOB – your immediate comment(above) is the essence of an enduring relationship. My congratulations to those who manage to create and maintain it!

        • (“My congratulations to those who manage to create and maintain it!””)
NMMike..my first marriage was about as insane as they come..my wife now had had a freak stroke when she was in her twenties.. my ex had a bill for a surgery and no insurance..my wife now was destroyed by SATAN at the hospitals collections Lost her job and insurance and had endured the same type of humiliation I had suffered over astronomical medical debts..to pay off the surgeon for my ex’s surgery I made a deal to work on his city block sized parking lot by hand.Through the fire, the debt, the exhaustion, and the heartbreak—we found each other not in romance, but in resilience. She showed up with ice water and work gloves when I was breaking under the weight. We became friends in the trenches, and love followed later. Her mother saw it before we did. Now we walk this road together, thick or thin. Watching G care for Lady Elaine, and seeing others do the same for their partners—it reminds me: love isn’t just a feeling, it’s a daily act of devotion. I feel blessed. So are G and B.And I am proud to know them and consider them my friends..

        • @LOOB

“Interestingly..I have never watched or read any anime.. but I know a lot of single women or kids that have extremely unrealistic demands on what an acceptable partner is..”

If it is a TV show, a movie, or other video it’s animé — animated. If it is a comic book, it’s “manga.” Animé and manga are actual art forms, not simple cartoons. They present everything from school life in the first grade to exceedingly complex sexual and other real-life situations — essentially everything Hollywood puts into a film or TV show. People see them and think they’re cartoons, so they’re okay for their kids to watch unsupervised. Then Junior drops a “bastard” at the dinner table or starts talking about “fucking,” and mom & dad lose their minds.

Many animé videos are completely cute, sweet, and innocent. Others are used to subtly control whole populations. Some of the cutest are also some of the most-controlling.

And then come the games — Computer games, console games, sometimes platform-specific games (they used to be PSP {PlayStation Portable}, now they’re cellphone-based.) They are animé pocket adventure or role-playing games which make the basic highly-addictive smartphone, much more addictive. (think “Pokemon GO” or “Azur Lane” from a few years back, or “Monopoly,” today.) Pokemon GO was released in about 2016. I can’t count the number of brain-dead COLLEGE KIDS wandering around, glued to their cellphones and oblivious to all else, I saw over the course of YEARS!

It is these entertainment devices which have spawned the unrealistic demands (and expectations) of which you speak. The programmers are everyone from the Disney writers who decided even before WW-II that women were all-knowing, wise, and powerful, and men were bumbling oafs, to the French and German socialists, Leftist Japanese, and the CCP, who write nearly all of today’s animated entertainment…

  4. re: one nation under god in the 1920’s. the phrase wasn’t added to the pledge of allegiance until the late 1950’s, ditto for “in god we trust” on paper currency. just more culture war sloganeering.

  5. “One Nation, Under…. the (((influence))). Start looking at America in terms of pre-(((influence))) & post-(((influence))).

A lot of people think/thought 1955 was America’s greatest year. Look at the timeline. Pre-1955 America ruled the world carrying the mantel.

An event occurred at midnight on May 14, 1948.

Less than a year later April 4, 1949 the NATO org was created and the (((influence))) could now push an agenda.

“Under God” was added to the US Pledge of Allegiance in 1954 – who’s god?

“In God We Trust” first appeared on U.S. paper money in 1957 – who’s god?

“God being taken out of schools” refers to a series of Supreme Court decisions, beginning in 1962.

The pre-1948 gods were swapped for God Money and whatever else the (influence) demanded.

1995 – bus boycott introduced multiculturalism. Disneyland kicked off consumerism. Warsaw Pact created the spending ghosts.

    • 1955 gave us the first small block Chevy V8! The peak of American greatness was probably more about the advent of the Ford Mustang – 1964-65. We had a dream to go to the moon and we may well have gotten there in 1969. Even today, we have few dreams of greatness, but it’s improving slowly, or so I want to believe. The SpaceX Starship flight 11 was an impressive success, and televised worldwide. It gives me some hope in the face of unrelentingly broadcast bad news.

  6. SO do we soon see some spilt that is easily tracked between paper and metal gold?
How much metal is actually backing the paper?
    Inquiring minds want to know.

    • 1. Definitions & Context

To be precise we have to define:

Physical gold = actual metal (bars, coins, reserves) stored in vaults.

Paper gold = financial instruments, contracts, derivatives, ETFs, futures, forwards, gold certificates, and swaps that represent claims on gold (or gold price exposure) but often without guaranteed redemption for physical metal.

Backed vs unbacked paper: Some paper gold is allocated (each share corresponds to a specific bar in vaults), some is unallocated (a pooled liability, not tied to specific metal), and some is purely speculative derivatives.

In a healthy system, you’d like a certain ratio: the paper gold should be underwritten by a credible, verifiable amount of physical gold so that redemptions or stress do not break the chain.

      2. What the Data Tells Us
      Physical Gold Totals & Backing

According to the World Gold Council, total above-ground stocks (all uses: jewelry, central banks, investments, industry) are relatively fixed and grow slowly via mining.
      World Gold Council

Physically-backed gold ETFs hold only a small fraction of total stocks — ~2% of global above-ground gold stocks, per the same source.
      World Gold Council

Central banks, governments, and private vaults hold much of the rest.
      World Gold Council

The physical metal side is thus constrained by geology, mining rates, and past accumulation.

      Paper Gold Volume & Multipliers

Analysts and market observers frequently cite ratios of 20:1 up to 100:1 or more for paper claims to actual metal. Meaning: for each ounce of physical gold, there may be 20 (or 100) more “gold claims” in the form of derivatives, contracts, forward obligations, etc.
      Scottsdale Bullion & Coin
      +3
      GoldBroker
      +3
      Global Coin
      +3

In certain markets or instruments (especially in London or exchanges like LBMA), the daily volume of paper gold can be many times the annual production of physical gold. (One commentary cited LBMA Q1 2011 paper trades equivalent to over two years of annual physical gold production. )
      Intelligent Partnership
      +1

Historical estimates (e.g. 2012) placed ratios near 100:1 between “paper gold” claims and physically deliverable metal.
      GoldBroker
      +2
      Global Coin
      +2

So while there’s no universally published “official ratio” (and it changes by instrument, jurisdiction, and structure), the consensus among many gold-market critics is that paper gold vastly exceeds what physical metal is available for all claims.

      3. Risks from the Discrepancy

The gap between claims and backing invites several dangers:

Counterparty risk: If many claimants demand physical delivery simultaneously (a “run”), there may not be enough metal.

Liquidity mismatch: Paper instruments are highly liquid; physical gold is not. In stressful times, redemption pressures can strain the system.

Price suppression or “paper shorting”: Some actors may use paper markets to artificially depress or manipulate gold prices, knowing they don’t need to deliver metal.

Premiums & delivery delays: Physical gold can command a premium or carry delivery delays, especially when demand spikes.

Systemic trust erosion: If people lose faith in claims, the system may shift toward holding physical only, destabilizing paper-based gold markets.

      4. Why the Ratio Varies & Is Hard to Nail

Different instruments have different backing rules (allocated vs unallocated).

Some contracts never intend for delivery; they settle in cash.

Exchanges and clearinghouses have rules, collateral requirements, haircut margins, and netting that complicate “claim counting.”

Some gold counted in “inventory” is leased or already under obligation.

Secrecy, over-the-counter trading, unreported derivatives make exact measurement opaque.

      5. Bottom Line & Clue-Based Estimate

      Given what we know:

It’s very probable that paper gold (claims, derivatives, etc.) outstrips physical gold by a wide multiple — a conservative estimate in many circles is 20–100×.

The physically backed portion (especially in ETFs, vaults, central bank reserves) is relatively modest by comparison.

In stress scenarios, the weakness in backing becomes exposed — premiums widen, delivery lags occur, and the “paper-metal disconnect” shows.

      • *See the SLV etf, and rules governing the Physical Metal. If you own enough Units of the SLV – you can stand for/request Delivery.

I was concerned yesterday..heading into town taking a sip of my hot coffee..a bald eagle dropped from the sky grabbed roadkill on the shoulder of the road and took off..if I had been driving fast like my kids do..I would have hit it..phew..dam the wingspan on that thing had to be five or six feet across.. and what would have happened to me if I had hit and killed it..call it in and what get arrested for hitting the nations emblem or would I have been released.. I read once it was a really big deal about killing an eagle..didnt some guy go to prison for picking up a feather and sending it to bill Clinton once..wow

  8. (“What isn’t clear – at least for now – is this: Will Donald Trump supply Ukraine with US Tomahawk cruise missiles? Oh, sure, Trump said earlier he would. DDDT, though; Different Day, Different Trump.”)

hmm.. what do I think about this It’s not just about missiles — it’s about momentum. Trump may talk Tomahawks one day and negotiations the next, but the deeper issue is this .. we’ve hollowed out our own house through decades of mismanagement, outsourcing, and corruption. Now we’re being asked to bankroll another war, not for peace, but for profit.
Ukraine’s natural resources — trillions in untapped wealth — are a lure for global powers. BRICS knows it. Western investors know it. And if Ukraine wins, the scramble to control those assets will be fierce. But selling weapons into that storm doesn’t just escalate conflict — it paints a target on our back. Putin’s made that clear. The people — in Ukraine, Russia, America — don’t want war. They want to work, provide, and live in peace. But the bullies in suits and uniforms keep pushing for more..more land, more deals, more destruction. If we’re serious about peace, we need to stop feeding the war machine and start listening to the people.but then I just sit here and reflect..

  9. “Final Book Chapter Finished”

You may write good books but without slots at the airport the challenge is getting noticed. Challenge A.I. into creating a new way for distributing written e-material?

I asked (projecting anthropomorphism) Perplexity about the topic of airport books:

Are airport books best sellers that get placed into airports or do airport books become best sellers by nature of being placed in airports?

“Airport bookstore placement usually helps books become bestsellers, rather than only reflecting books that already are.
    How airport book placement works

Getting a title into airport stores is not automatic and not merit-only. It follows a pay?to?play model, where publishers or authors invest anywhere from roughly $2,500–$20,000 per month to rent space in airport bookstores. Retailers like Hudson or Paradies also require strong marketing campaigns, proven appeal, and professional-quality packaging before accepting a book”

You’ll have to play the game and create a following by buying physical space in the airports/train & bus stations, etc.

    • My last book, ‘Gray and Myrtle, a Love Story for the Ages’ is about events in my grandparents lives that took place in West Texas and Eastern NM. In 1908, my grandfather operated a motorized stage route that covered 400 miles of open country around Midland, TX.
In 1911, he built and flew the first airplane built in TX. That airplane was restored in65, and now hangs in the Midland/Odessa Airport main concourse.
Because of the strong Midland connection, I thought the book would be ideal for the Airport bookstore. I found that Hudson Booksellers will not consider any book published by Amazon. While I could publish the book on another platform, but since it’s self-published, and not a best seller, I don’t think they would even sell it at the Midland store.
I can’t wait to read and review the Kindle version of: Mind Amplifiers: On Human Use of Cognitive Prosthetics

      • Good comment regarding Hudson.

$AMZN is low barrier to entry and flooded with self publishing E-publishers.

I know several people who are trying to sell E-*.* material: story books, books of poems, children’s books and even self recorded compositions. O/T – some of them admitted getting assists from ChatGPT.

In your scenario perhaps try to get physical books into the local tourist market central to the stories. But then there’s the costs of physical material.

      Curse The Bamboozlers’!

  11. Richard Russell (2010): There’s only one currency that is riskless since it needs no country to back it. That currency possesses one unique character. On its own it IS intrinsic wealth. That currency is gold. In the years ahead, fortunes will be made by those holding large commitments in gold. But forget profits, fortunes will be SAVED (preserved) by those who hold quantities of gold.

    • Yes, metals, and PM’s in particular represent real wealth, but transporting them over a border – legally or otherwise, can be a real challenge. Even a simple metal detector can locate them on your person or in baggage, and there are rules in many countries prohibiting importing or exporting them without permission. Nobody seems to bring this up. There’s money to be made through arbitrage, but many hoops to jump through. Most PM dealers won’t deal internationally at all.

      • Peter Franks I aint, but you know I got Plenty O’Toole.

  12. Deer Question:
I am putting in a small orchard of fruit and nut trees this spring. Preparing ground now. We have an abundance of deer that have a voracious appetite for human food.
Options for protecting our food from the four footed eating machines would be appreciated. Fences, cages, Irish Spring and others.

Humm, might call the place the ‘Fruit and Nut Farm’.
    Cheers – Have Wonderful Weekend

    • A spreading of bone or bloodmeal has worked for me in the past and has beneficial nutrients for plants.

    • All of the above. Plus the old “ pee around the borders” trick that is a favorite successful ploy!
Keeping that activity from the eyes of neighbors is on you.
They also abhor garlic and onions as a border.
      Love that name!

    • I knew a farmer who had a 10 or 12 foot fence around his small farm with a barb wire inward overhang. he said it was for deer and 2 legged animals.

    • hmm..my father planted a garden just for the critters which I prefer the garden approach — give the deer their own space, and they’ll leave yours alone. But for added protection, I recommend surrounding the perimeter with adjustable frequency modulators. These ultrasonic devices can be tuned to discomfort specific species without harming them, creating a respectful boundary.
Wild animals aren’t intruders — they’re survivors, just like us. They’re not trying to destroy; they’re trying to live. If we offer a little peace and set gentle, intelligent boundaries, we honor both stewardship and coexistence. Let them live in peace — and let our gardens grow in harmony.Seriously it doesn’t take long for them to realize which garden is theirs and which is ours.. my father never lost one bit of produce from his garden..

you pick.. if you decide to plant the deer garden.. be careful of the sugar beets..those things can get out of hand.. so can pearl millet and sorghum..

  13. re: PM Shortages
    feat: “H” is for humour

    Folks,
Earlier this week the Ukrainian PM Mrs. Yulia Svyrydenko announced her arrival in Washington, DC confidently striding from a pedestrian thoroughfare beneath a sign of “Do Not Enter”. Her staff have since posted many social media photo ops of her cordial meetings with important bankers and politicians. Stylewise the PM appears to enjoy a good rapport with her seamstress as well as high heels.

Meanwhile the President of Ukraine posted a video clip yesterday of his airport arrival in Washington. His hosts appear to have supplied red-carpeted airstairs, an American flag, and a white American pickup truck whose bed seemed unladen. The President may have been greeted by his Ukrainian Ambassador to the USA whose fine attire perhaps sported a belt from the French luxury brand Hermès. Also the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office from Kyiv, and two uniformed Ukrainian military officers greeted the President. A sole Ukrainian honour guardsman stood by. His jacket worn lobsidedly featured multi-directional collar lapels matched with trousers of crooked seamline and unbuttoned pocket. The President permitted his light winter jacket to flap in the breeze. In lieu of band accompaniement, the wordless video clip soundtrack offered desolate windswept audio.

    TGIF!

    • re: “Two Scary…Charts”

      Folks,
Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Did President Trump kickoff his White House Cabinet Room Luncheon with President Zelinsky piping in Andrea Bocelli’s “Con te Partirò” (Time to Say Goodbye)!?

The Ukrainian President thus far has issued a one line social media post without pictures informing of the event. Who’s the dapper guy in new suit and tie duds? The “Roll-Call” website offers transcript and videos of the 37m 55s affair at the following link: (Please do pardon a Presidential f-bomb drop at the close!)

      https://rollcall.com/factbase/trump/transcript/donald-trump-remarks-bilat-lunch-volodymyr-zelenskyy-ukraine-october-17-2025/

Washington, good to go for launch? DJ George sure is with a nod to fine haberdashery from none other than The Godfather of Country Music himself. Here we go with “Man In Black”!

  14. Hell, I’m an ‘unrealized millionaire’… I just haven’t realized it yet. Unrealized gains results in unrealized taxes. Tax my fantasy? ROFL! Can’t get blood out of a turnip… especially if you have no turnips!

    • Lol.. Told the grandkids I’m working on my second million dollars. They said, “Second?” I said, “Yup — everyone says the second million is easier to get.” Then I realized… the first one was way out of reach for me!
But hey, I’ve got a slew of life stories, and a family that still laughs at my jokes sometimes. That’s worth more to me than any bank account ledger filled with numbers. Besides, compound interest on love and laughter pays better than Wall Street.

  15. breakin out the coke and tequila time at wall street . another week saved . even got old 4x2s taggin up the sheilas comin in high on coke .. hey we saved it again !!!

  16. What’s the old saying, ” Better to not say anything and be thought a idiot, then to to open your mouth and let everyone know you are”.

  17. Got my property tax bill off the web today. My taxes went up more than $6. Oh, the homeowner outrage.
On 11/4, there will be no less than two constitutional amendments on the Texas ballot which raise the tax exemption level for homeowners. One bill increases the exemption for everyone to $140K. The second bill gives seniors a $60K additional exemption. I think I will vote early.

    • Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Indiana are allegedly looking into abolishing property tax. I just saw it in passing, and like everything these days it’s subject to “phonyfication” so I can’t provide linkage.

Currently storm-chasing near “Silvermitt” because Ma Nature decided to throw a party from OK to Ontario, and make the Ohio River Valley the dance floor…

      • Sprayed my garlic, asparagus and tulips & daffodils with pre-emergent weed killer devrinol 2-XT ( plantproducts.com/default.htm/products/devrinol-2-xt-10-l ) and the rain to wash incorporate into the ground. So far round a half inch of rain, gentle drizzle.

  18. As I have suspected for many, many years..,
A five year study from Boston Medical Research and MIT – the human brain is hardwired to be lazy. It doesn’t want to do calculus., or engineer the tensile strength of titanium. Even a multi-step food recipe is often too much.
Looking around at society in general.., I can believe it.

    • i disagree. from my personal observation and experience i would say that most of human misery arises from an overactive brain. the brain will find ways to keep busy and be engaging even by making stuff up. learning to still our minds of the mindless monkey chatter goes a long ways to finding peace, serenity and satisfaction. i always say, ‘do not trust your brain for it will mislead you.’ if the human brain were indeed lazy, it would be a better planet. rather, it creates problems for each of us individually and as a species collectively. do not trust what your brain tells you. think with your heart and feel with your brain. your entire body is your “thinking” apparatus, not the pc in a box without any sensory input or output.

      • (“i disagree. from my personal observation and experience i would say that most of human misery arises from an overactive brain. “)

“Most human misery comes from an overactive brain”? Lol lol lol — you must’ve had that golden goose government health insurance! Try getting slapped with a six-figure medical bill and watch how fast misery finds you.The real misery isn’t in thinking too much — it’s in a system that punishes you for getting sick or working for an employer that only recognizes the administration employees lol. You don’t need philosophy to understand suffering. Just open a hospital invoice and wait for Satan’s collection agency to show up. Lol lol lol.

  19. Hey, George,

I just happened to catch the baseball game tonight at a restaurant, and we saw history being made when Eugenio Suarez hit a grand slam home run to win the game.

  20. When your weekend errands go awry due to civil unrest, here are the billionaire weasels to blame:

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/fueled-billionaires-no-kings-prepares-color-revolution-style-mobilization-against-trump

    https://static.itsyourgov.org/No-Kings-Report.pdf

The billionaires are fighting in the streets, with your children under their feet. ( Apologies to P. Townshend ). Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

The lefties change their handles faster than Mr T can declare them terror organizations, so the money keeps flowing. I’m thinking that USG and the NGO’s are still involved, but their money laundering has gone darker than dark. Maybe that’s what we need a token reserve for: to launder funding for organized civil unrest. And our representatives are stupid enough to bite on it.

      • yup,, every 4 yrs in Nov we elect a King,,,
riders on the short bus, out and about today,,, even had his
“I AM ANTIFA ” shirt on, a true tard
“Now, he has no wife, political future, or any noteworthy career prospects. What a pathetic fall from grace.”
        https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/10/watch-humilation-ensues-disgraced-never-trumper-george-conway/

so President Trump is King? well he and the misses are royality.
Trump has been ,,, shot, indicted, investigated, arrested and mug shot, Mar a logo raided! But the tards call him King
He is doing what he campaigned on, and WE elected him to do, and he is still going strong

I don’t entertain myself with sports, but thinking hockey might be interesting,,, lots of ICE

      • So, billionaires funneled close to $300 billion into the “No Kings” project task force in order to set a Guinness record? That’s a generous, civic minded group of Stalinist competitors.
Let’s look at this from a different frame of reference. The “No Kings” project task force is run and funded by almost the same perps as ran and funded “Antifa”. So why don’t Antifa funding proscriptions apply to No Kings? Answer- the task force and funding morph faster than the wheels of justice can follow.
And why would lefties be using a multi-dimensional project task force approach to managing their joint operations? It permits fast mobilization and equally fast burial of the paper trail. But who trained them? Hint- Chinese upper leadership has a lot of engineers in their ranks. And why would US billionaires fund Chinese destabilization projects? Maybe you should look a little harder at the billionaire’s finances. Where is their credit coming from? Debt forgiveness ?

      • The attached clip is perfect example of the Quality – the kind of Individuals involved in all this bolshevik bullshit..

Everything you need to know about Leftists – it is no wonder so many brain dead “zombies” have fallin for all this evil nonsense – is displayed in young Females behavior. Should not be surprised how easily weak intellects are conditioned, seems new generation may be screwed out of making and living a DECENT Life.

        Talk about waste cases..
        – WARNING – “Abbey” not acting normal- https://x.com/nicksortor/status/1979493397439369553?

Like watching an episode of Wild America, shame we gotta see some dirty nasty animals and no Marlon Perkins.

Morons United – more like it here. Never allowed to Rally if we had a real King/Royalty..duh-ooo!
Combined they add up to squataa – as usual everything is a LIE with these “things”.
I cant think of anything else to call theses entities, as they Act, Appear to be Sub-Human.

How come we never see these “subs” until after the Sun goes down ? Are they allergic to Sunlight, these wannabe cockroaches?..inquiring minds.

        • The cockroaches were all out in the light of day at the billionaire Kings rallies yesterday. I saw one of the rallies from a distance. I was trying to stay away, but I got a call that material was ready to pick up. I don’t believe it was anywhere near as big as the June rally. I think even the progressives may be feeling a little shame.
