Yellow Arrow Tuesday – Crooked Logic Wars

Our view of the markets – smacked by an “over-thousand-dollar paper loss Friday” will be back in the green virtually from the open, by the look of early futures prices.  As you can see, our Aggregate Index is holding to the idea that the rally (back to new highs) is over. Having done its job of delivering a Scotch bet payoff.

The rest of the week may not go well for the Bulls.  In fact, there’s a strong case that global financial complexity is poised to collapse all over itself.  Reasons? Oh, you bet. Tons of them.  But before we roll the list, let’s begin with an eyeball on the yellow vertical arrow at the far right of this chart:

There are never any guarantees, nor do we ever offer financial advice.  This what you call “in depth financial reporting”. And with no copyright infringement on other financial products because our Aggregate Index is a derivative work of lots of other data.

Notwithstanding, it’s not a bad proxy for how much money is “on the table” and at this time of year, getting all ballsy at the p0ker table can get expensive.  So, let’s run through the list, shall we?

Calendar First

  • Thursday and Friday: Because of the holiday week, the “first of month” job reports will cluster. JOLTS report Wednesday, Challenger Job Cuts and ADP hiring Thursday, then the officious numbers Friday.
  • Circle September 18: That’s when the Fed rate decision will be along.  The CME Fed Watch tool is running about 70 percent in favor of the Fed holding even.
  • September 21 to October 5: This is our “China Reunifies Taiwan” window.  The weather will be in China’s favor.  And the U.S. is already presenting “signs and sigils” ahead of events. Sending three B2-bombers to visit Australia. While Ameri-centric media writes “China Freaked: B-2 Bomber Can Now Attack and Sink Naval Warships, we rather imagine China (which has ghost ports in addition to ghost cities) has a lot of backup plans.  Which you can do when you have 113 cities in country with more than a million population. The U.S. has fourteen.  Taiwan, noticing the weekend’s Xi-Putin huddle reacted with ‘Take back land’: Taiwan stirs up trouble between Russia and China. We have a whole AI bubble to keep puffed up, after all.
  • Also in this window: We expect Israel will pre-emptively bomb Iran’s nuclear weapons program.  Likely to claim it will have been conventional, but a bunker busting clean nuke seems more likely to ensure the job gets done. Then using “media influence” to claim their first-use of nuke is just a conspiracy theory.
  • No Date except “Fall” as Russia is going to get sick of being tweaked, at some point.  Moscow oil refinery suspends unit’s operations following large-scale Ukrainian drone attack, Reuters reports is one reason.  And the indicator?  Nuclear Concerns Mount In Ukraine; Russia Boosts Belgorod Air Defenses.

We have some additional notes on China. Including how they may be angling to get some of that “lost Manchuria – eastern Siberia land out from Russia in order to keep rolling large industry (and cleaning house on resources).  That – and the timing of China’s taking Taiwan, obviously, were on the Xi-Putin meeting agenda this weekend. Where Putin welcomed in Mongolia despite ICC arrest warrant.

What’s the Personal Plan, Then?

UrbanSurvival going forward will likely be less about Urban.  For one, Urban cities are turning into most unfriendly places.  Even California governor Screwsome is having a tough go. Newsom’s homeless strategy: Throw lots of money at problem & blame local government. While we can’t imagine anyone over 10th grade thinking giving money to urban socialists and uprisers could possibly fix anything, there’s California and your answer.

But real estate values in freefall is not a Cali-only problem. What few seem able to comprehend is that government worker retirements compound, too. Which means government income must compound which means taxes must go up.  Because for now, the change-out or reduction of government services is not on the table.  And there is such an urgent, pressing, DEI agenda…why taxes have to go up, do they not?  (Sarc.)

The Alt. Future may not be fully crypto, either.  One of the BTC pubs asked a good question Sunday: So you are going to sell your Bitcoin (BTC) – for what? – Crypto Daily. When we looked earlier, BTC was around $59,100 – which considering it was over $70,000 this past summer is hardly great shakes.

Here in the outback, we’re tuning up the drone surveillance flights, putting down clover (red and Dutch white, thanks) for the deer. More wild “throw and sow” seeds (Waltham 29 broccoli by the bucket, for example). Foraging books and skills, backup power.  And oh, my! Another Cheaper-than-Dirt shipment.

Paranoid as we are, three radiation monitors and looking for another woodstove may come up this fall.  We’ll see what’s left.

Back in Dystopia

Something besides excessive child support and DEI? What’s Causing The ‘Sperm Apocalypse’?

Could it be America for Americans after all? No, laws don’t matter to criminals. But let’s all pretend as Federal Appeals Court Rules Illegal Immigrants Have No Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms.

(Oh, look, there goes another: Previously deported illegal alien stabs teen girl at a baseball game in the random attack: Police.)

Ohio to remain honest?  Judge Blocks Ohio Law That Banned Foreign Nationals From Spending Money on Ballot Campaigns. Ever wonder why the whole damn country is not off the foreign influencer bidding block (looking at you George Soros!). Congress is full of crooks, seems plain to us.

Blinding us with Science:  Mysterious ‘donut’ structure is discovered hidden inside Earth’s core – and it could unlock the secrets of our planet’s protective magnetic field. Maple bar topping or jelly-filled?  I should have been a geologist.

Now for some Plane Speaking: Hoo Boy: U.S. Seizes Venezuelan President Maduro’s Plane in Dominican Republic. Not to defend Maduro, but was the US authorized to impound the plane by the DR government, or did we just “big-shot and bullshit” our way through this?

And DEI continues to spew the (not-even thinly veiled) White hate agenda. As we read in Moonbattery (reports) English Universities Abolish Anglo-Saxons.

Around the Ranch:  Snores and More

Both Elaine and I had what can only be called “earthquake tireds” Sunday and Monday.  We slept 12+ hours each day.  For us, that’s extremely unusual.  7 or  hours is normal for me.  But this was the “Groggy and can’t throw it off – even with coffee…: kind of thing.  Only reason I can think of is we have both been running low carbs – and I made French bread one night and spaghetti the next – but even so, most unusual.  Keep an eye on the EQ machines, just in case…

Two more chapters of my book on life extension will be popped on the Peoplenomics.com website tomorrow.

Quiet day around here ahead.  The usual – like taking out the trash but nothing you’d call real work.  The ground screw foundations for my newest deck project are waiting for my ambition to return.  Next weekend, maybe. Temps then will be in the mid 80’s tops and lows around 60 something which means I can get back to work for the rest of the year…

Write when I wake up completely,

I seem to have picked up energy the last couple of days after week of sluggish energy,,,
don’t call me low energy Jeb,,, the bush
    coffee is good this morning

    • Shhhh, be wery quite, we are whunting wabbits.

Thx for heads up – real decent pricing…480 200 grain sub sonic AAC300 Blackout @439 comes to about .91 cents per – Not cheap for ammo, but subsonic ac300 – not bad at all. 6.5 Grendel also very reasonable at under $1.00 per.

      thx again.

    • +1+++ on SGAmmo. Sam Gabbert & Co. have a great selection, easy to search, regular list of special purchases and prices, excellent shipping (double boxed), and good customer service. The biggest downside for me is that it is far too easy to blow my intended budget.

  2. Latest poll:
Question: Is illegal immigration really a problem?
    21% – No, it’s republican propaganda
    30% – Yes, it’s the democrats
40% – no hablo ingles lo siento

  3. Thanks Mr. Ure, as always. To Mr. CCB,, what made you want to apply to protect the border, in the 1st place?. If you were content on the ranch, why look else where?

Maybe, you could be the one who ferrets out the child-trafficking-ring. or finds the pipeline for the precursors of fentanyl and chokes it off.. or… There are huge opportunities for you to help us all; particularly with your unique skill-set. (crowd control, intuition, adherence to the rules, size, looks,, and more) Why were you led to apply?.. chance for a higher (not self-centered) good.. The ranch will still be there in 10 years when you’ve had enough…. however, if you don’t go,, destruction from the south may creep up on you (us).. just poking my nose where it doesn’t belong..

  4. Just for the record, I was super tired too in the latter weekend. I have no idea if it had to do with earthquakes, but I ended up missing all the sales(and the costs).

    • Hi, George,

I was not going to mention it, but I was so very tired Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I just could not get enough sleep. I feel better now, but that was so unusual for me. Wonder what’s up.

  5. Oil took a big hit this morning – down $2.25 a barrel the last time I looked. Heading to $70 a barrel – never thought we would see that number again. Looks to be going below $70 – soonish. With an oil tanker on fire in the Red Sea, you would think that the industry would be getting a little anxious and nervy but – nope. Price is dropping steadily.
    .
    I couldn’t stand it – sitting on the side-lines
[ let me in the game couch – let me in ! ] I took a small bet [ options-puts] on the DJIA at the close friday – right “at” the close. [ It mathed-out the weakest of the idexes] The Dow is down 445 as I write. Probably out very soon – as this nervousness from the markets is all about the coming jobs report – this Friday.., so – to me.., this move is a case of the gitters – no one is serious. “YET.”
.., and “Carnac The Magnificent” is down around 800 points this morning. Top reached?
    .

    • Tisk, tisk. that’s pronounced “Scotch reached!”

I took about $1,150 for the hamburger fund an hour back – will reentry shorts when we rally today or tomorrow…Maybe a should sleep all weekend more often?

  6. re: 100 Year Toaster
    feat: Three Ugly Sisters

    Folks,

What’s the point of having a 100 year toaster if you can’t outlive it? UK msm is in the midst of sibling rivalry to pick up an anti-Kremlin human life extension article from “Meduza”. The Latvian-based media entity was founded by a disenchanted Moscow born journalist who named her news outlet after the Greek deity Medusa, one of the three ugly Gorgon sisters. According to Greek mythology, the sisters’ blood could both heal and harm.

It appears that Russia has been working on the Gorgonian Knot problem of human life extension for the past 30 years. Here is a link to the “Daily Mail” take on things.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13807341/

The following link is to the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology which commenced operation in 1992.

    https://eng.gerontology.ru/

It’s partner in the project is the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy whose roots date to 1715 during the reign of Tsar Peter the Great. The Scottish Baronet Sir James Wylie, knighted by the future King George IV, devoted a large portion of his almost 50 year Russian medical career to the Academy. He even accompanied Tsar Alexander I into battle against Napoleon at Austerlitz in 1805!

    • re: “another day, another $”
      feat: another minute, another $

      Folks,

It’s almost time for kids to return to class. Speaking of time, two high schoolers were sat a couple of tables over in the coffee shop. Their topic du jour was how long would they live. They decided age 100 or better is possible although easier said than done.

Then they pondered how much money they would accept to make it worthwhile in their minds to give up one year of life. The amount decided upon was $500,000 per year (so roughly $1 per minute). One youth concluded it would be worth giving up 5 years in exchange for a $2.5 million nest egg at the starting line.

I thought to myself those kids have a really messed up values system. Jumping ahead decades to their last day when the Grim Reaper theoretically shows up to collect his principal with the 5 years early clause, who of us in our right mind would accept their last dollar to give them another minute of our time of day?

    • re: “Plane Speaking”
      feat: (T7-) ESRT

      Folks,

The confiscation on Monday of Mr. Maduro’s jet, T7-ESRT, is making more sense, and someone perhaps has a twisted sense of humour.

Last Saturday “La Nacion” picked up a NYT story about Ukrainian mercenaries. Here’s the link:
      https://www.lanacion.com.ar/el-mundo/la-historia-de-los-colombianos-que-lucharon-con-ucrania-viajaron-a-venezuela-y-hoy-estan-presos-en-nid31082024/

Two Columbian mercenaries in Ukraine employ returning home on leave via Madrid and Caracas disappeared at the latter airport in July. On Friday the website “ESRT dot site” (Russia Today en español) published a video of the pair being welcomed to Moscow by the FSB. The ESRT video subsequently appeared on Elon’s “X” courtesy of “Sepa_Mas” (Learn More).

A couple of other items jumped out from “La Nacion” that I was clueless about. Their picture coverage of the Maduro aircraft seizure showed a different Dassault Falcon with a US registration. The public info on that US plane traces to a Utah firm which specializes in arranging complicated trusts as a workaround so non-USA citizens can put a legit FAA USA registration on their planes. Did Mr. Maduro have a similar deal with his jet for San Marino? How much was paid, to whom, and where might the money be now?

The other item of interest was a rehash of an earlier August story from Poland’s public broadcaster. Of course Mexico’s President-elect Sheinbaum has invited President Putin to her October 1st inauguration. Apparently Mexico doesn’t care about the ICC arrest warrant out for Putin.

Can one imagine for a moment if Putin had the audacity to show up at the shindig hosted by America’s next door neighbor a month before the US election?

  7. “government worker retirements compound”

    Oh, yea.

If the average age is 75…. but many folks live to more.

.gov gig starts at say 20 y/o – retire in 25 years @ 45 y/o. That’s one payroll tax base. The next set of 20 to 45 workers start so this requires a second tax base the 1st now goes to retirees.

The 2nd group retires along with the now 45-70 tax base so the next 20-45 y/o group start which demands a 3rd tax base.

Since a lot of people just don’t turn-off at 70 and add COLA all around, taxes should be quadruple from the start point in real terms. Don’t forget the medical portions. It’s been a good run.

        • There’s always an escape

          (until there’s not.)

Our best plan of action might be to ask the FSB who our national traitors are. They likely both know, and would be more honest than anyone currently in our political circles.

          58 days…

If’fn y’all don’t remember, I said the time between the election and the swearing-in would be the most dangerous period of time in the history of our species. We are very near an unlimited nuclear war with Russia (and probably China) caused by mismanagement and greed, and flat-out dishonesty, and a need for our politicians and bureaucrats to hide their misdeeds.

Additionally, should Mr. Trump win the Election, an event which becomes slightly more-likely every time Ms. Harris speaks publicly, it is quite likely that the deranged Left will come completely unhinged in that 58 day period and do everything in their power to ensure Trump either doesn’t take the Oath of Office, or that his doing so is meaningless.

I predict they will do much more than wipe critical computer files and pop the keys off the computers in the Situation Room (like Clinton did.) There are few things more dangerous than a thieving bully who’s gotten his comeuppance and is about to be exposed for all to see…

      • read that article and a couple more.. they are right from my perspective..

(It is incredibly sad to watch the U.S. economy slowly but surely come apart at the seams all around us. For most of our history, the rest of the world marveled at our economic performance, and that is because we embraced economic values that led to great blessing. In recent decades, we have abandoned those values, but we were able to maintain a very high standard of living by going into unprecedented amounts of debt. Our leaders were able to keep the game going for longer than a lot of people thought, but now we have entered the final depressing chapters for the late, great U.S. economy, and we can see evidence of this all around us. )

        https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-final-depressing-chapters-for-the-late-great-u-s-economy/

Everyone that I know.. is using plastic to keep up the quality of life that they are so accustomed to.. I got into a discussion with a gentleman last night at a football game..He was attempting to explain to me that the vast majority of the people could afford the housing they are selling and renting at outlandish prices..
the rumors of a couple thousand a month until the election to the elderly and poor sounds good and it would assist the economy from total collapse.. my opinion is the influx of hundreds of thousands of illegals and flights for those that cannot make the walk and then giving them thousands of dollars just to make that journey.. buying them homes will increase new construction housing.. in essence it is a false positive.. then try to get the funds they are tossing at this and to the wars and more wars.. its just a little lipstick on the pig and unsustainable future.. the interest is now compounding more than what we spend on wars.. which has been unsustainable since I was learning how to shave.. the wealthy pushing this are not paying most of them not even citizens of our country.. we are the fool in a fools paradox..
which goes..(” the greater fool theory suggests that one can sometimes make money through speculation on overvalued assets?—?items with a purchase price drastically exceeding the intrinsic value?—?if those assets can later be resold at an even higher price.

In this context, one “lesser fool” might pay for an overpriced asset, hoping that they can sell it to an even “greater fool” and make a profit. This only works as long as there are enough new “greater fools” willing to pay higher and higher prices for the asset. Eventually, investors can no longer deny that the price is out of touch with reality, at which point a sell-off can cause the price to drop significantly until it is closer to its fair value, which in some cases could be zero. The last “fools” to purchase in on the product in question are then left holding the bag, allowing earlier, lesser fools to make off with the profit.”)

Which fool are we.. my guess is our politicians have us as the last ones to hold the bag.. you did notice that no one in congress stuck around to deal with any of this that is going on.. not one of them has moved their families to safe havens.. they themselves like the power companies.. bought the bullshit they push.. Ron Paul ran for president years ago.. Ross Perot ran for president.. both had great plans.. and could have saved the country.. Jimmy Carter had a great plan in the seventies.. and was tossed under the buss along with the middle class.. if the congress that was present in those time frames had in my opinion done what they had planned.. we wouldn’t be facing what we are today..
but then who am I.. no big numbers on sheets of paper for me.. no one gives two cents about what I think my kids think I am insane and the guy telling what a wonderful president kammy will be last night can’t see it.. maybe I am the biggest fool for thinking that we are in trouble after all..

  8. phew.. scanning the Mahabharata to find the spot in the writings of ancient indian mythology where the country was on the same trajectory that the world is in right now.. but with over seven thousand pages it might not be as easy as I first thought.. I actually had in my mind that I could just flip to the page LOL … found out right away that that was not so..

  9. (“While we can’t imagine anyone over 10th grade thinking giving money to urban socialists and uprisers could possibly fix anything, there’s California and your answer.”)

Hmm.. I never could figure out what there are those that think.. if you put lipstick on a pig that it changes the pig into something more than just a pig with lipstick on..
but lipstick or not.. a pig is still just a pig.. can’t fix this mess tossing money on it or building homes for illegals or handing out cards with tens of thousands of dollars on them for them to spend..
NOW if they do hand out checks to the elderly and poor the economy will appear as if it is progressing and stable but in reality.. that is the same as those trying to live on credit cards.. the cost will come back to haunt them..

  10. Citi Global – in charge of tens of billions in investments and world banking stated this morning that they expect the Federal Reserve to make three rate cuts this year. Three.
    .
Can I have some of their koolaide.., please ?
    .
We all can agree that anything is possible – after all, it is the government we are talking about here., but three rate cuts – in my math-infused opinion – would be an unmitigated disaster.
    .
I must be a little slow on the up-take this morning – because I can’t figure out what they are selling.
    .
    .., but “anything” is possible…, I guess….,
    .

    • US Banks be in danger…see BRK unloading BofA stock past month (s) or so. TD bank is canary – they got popped for money laundering – via legal/illegal Fentynal pill mills.

Feds got the familie (s) who owned the Pharma co (s) making& distributing the pills, got Docs printing scripts like they were G-rome KerPOWell cranking the MM Printers.

Soonly Litigation comes ..and Warren has superior intel (financial) gathering “devices”.

Has not cut his Oil co holdings, on contrary he has been adding to them..CVX I think is his preferred big Oiler.

      • Berkshire owns a bunch of BoA.
        BoA owns 47% of Blackrock.
Blackrock owns nearly 3mln single family residences in CONUS.

Is there a connection? I don’t know, but I’m willing to entertain opinions from folks more-knowledgeable than I…

    • (“Can I have some of their koolaide.., please ?”)

I truly wish they wouldn’t bogart that stuff.. and pass it around I want some of what they are smoking to LOL

  11. US Manufacturing shrinks for the fifth straight month.
[ Gotta admit – the chart looks fugly.].
    .
.., but remember boys and girls – the GDP is up nicely.

  12. Your vitamin D intake
Dark skinned individuals require much more sunlight to produce vitamin D.
    – In an experiment 5 white skinned and 5 dark skinned individuals were tested on this theory [ the theory – which some have called racist.]
    – The vitamin D levels of the white skinned group increased 50x at the end of 8 hours in the sun. [ at the beach]
    – The vitamin D levels in the dark skinned group showed no change at all.
    – I wonder. Is it because the white skin group, say Nordic descent, receive a lot less sun light over a year’s time and thus have genetically adapted to absorb the sun light much easier., while the dark skinned group, say African descent, received high amounts of sunlight and have equally adapted – but they block the sun more easily – ???? After a years’ time do both groups receive the roughly the same amount of vitamin D ?
    .
This was only ten individuals in one single test. But I have heard this ‘theory’ for a couple of years now. Seems to kinda., sorta.., true. I did note that nothing was mentioned about sunscreen. .., and – how much does sunscreen interfere with the absorption of vitamin D ?

    • You created you own search string –
`sunscreen interfere with the absorption of vitamin D’

      ….interesting results in the return…

    • “I wonder. Is it because the white skin group… receive a lot less sun light over a year’s time and thus have genetically adapted to absorb the sun light much easier, while the dark skinned group… received high amounts of sunlight and have equally adapted – but they block the sun more easily”

      Undoubtedly.

I postulated here some years ago that folks of Black and Yellow ancestry have more-efficient physiologies than those of White ancestry, which leads them to obesity when on a predominantly Northern Urepeein diet, because their bodies are conditioned through breeding within their natural environment, to survival by processing meals of many fewer calories. I was called “racist” for this observation…

I ignored the jab, since it is a dispassionate observation, and being raised Quaker, I lack the comprehension of “racism” other than to [also dispassionately observe] that that term has never been used anywhere, at any time, in any public forum, by someone who was not, themselves, racist.

However, understand it may also be directed at you, because dispassionate observation and logic-based discourse are no longer permitted in Western society…

  13. Knew a guy here in town – we slowly became friends – not much in common – he owned three businesses right downtown – and was really on-top of his game.
One Winter, about six years ago he had a burn-out. He was really tired of all the crappola and stress. He bailed.
Sold all three business – for an ungodly amount – his house and his WW2 surplus jeep [ without asking me – which I gave him a solid ration about., I wanted it.]
That Spring he was free and clear of everything and disappeared into the night on a Honda 750 motor cycle and a fat bank account.
He drifted all over the country. I never knew where he would be when the next email came along.
A little over two years ago he wrote and told me he had landed. He was now a sheep farmer in Montana. Owns a herd of fifty Morino’s., two Australian cattle dogs and a big ole Anatolian Shepherd guard dog. [ sent me a pic – one huge dog., I would not want to be wolf, or coyote and go up against him ! .., or a human – Anatolian’s are notoriously fearless & loyal to their humans and herd and for not trusting strangers on their property – they will shadow you everywhere. Had dinner with a family that owned an Anatolian – the whole time I was there he would sit ten to twelve feet away and just stare at me – occasionally licking his huge chops – unnerving.]
Lives in a really nice small cabin – drives a beat-up old Korean War ambulance., even managed to find a girl friend along the way.
.., and most importantly – he has never – ever been happier.

    • The Anatolians are great dogs. We have 3 with a 4th joining us soon. They watch over Diana to the point of creepy sometimes while getting along with our 2 Pyrenees and cat. Really good dogs.

      • When I was leaving their house – I put on my coat and was talking with the guy – the Anatolian walked over – got between us and sat down looking at me. I reached down and gave him a few scratches behind the ears and rub on his neck – he raised a paw – so we shook hands.
I never figured out if had decided I wasn’t all that bad afterall – or was saying goodbye, please don’t come back.
I liked him.., not too sure he liked me.

  14. Looks as though I should have taken puts on all the indexes.., but I am out – when the Dow cross 600 down.
    – Good trade – wish I had been more aggressive, and it would have been a fantastic trade.
    – Woulda – Coulda – Shoulda

  15. GMRS and UHF / 2-meter scanner with NOAA weather.

    https://www.amazon.com/Radioddity-DB20-G-Cigarette-Channels-Overlanding/dp/B096533TR6/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

$109. Reviews well. Looks cool for a beginner’s GMRS with some intereting receive-only extra coverage. 20 watts out should be enough for ordinary use.

Could be a total piece of flotsam, but loooks interesting. I plan to get a GMRS — local hams here have a repeater – but I didn’t wanna spend a bundle for a one-trick pony.

    You’re on your own. 73

  16. first things first. i got those news papers back.

dear old fart, you were right. 1963* i was wrong about the date. huh. i kept thinking 1965. i dont know why i kept thinking 1965 but i did.

to answer the question about what are ya going to sell your Bitcoin for? that is a question i have had. although i do not give personal advice, there is stong indicators that The Rothchilds themselves hold much ripple and XRP. seen alot of language around that. wonder why the rotchilds would be sitting on a bunch of Xrp? if in its true.

i hope your answer comes to you George and soon. the hardest part is letting it arrive as it arrives and letting it be whatever it is.

after making my decsion to not sign up for the border patrol, i sent them an email first thing this morning.

last night i sat for the last time out on the temple of moon (aka the gondela) looking down at the earth below. i closed my eyes and begain the breathing process. clearing my mind of any appitite, desire, any stray thought, let it all go. just breathing, present in the moment. until every thought fades away. im centered, balanced, here and now.

it gives a provisional space for the answer to enter.

i sat there for hours. i can sit and do it with people laughing and joking and the world spinning around me. pushing it all out and away until im perfect serentity, present here and now. centered, balanced. no sense of time or direction.

after a few hours i came back into motion and the sounds life began to whirl around me.

i took a deep breath and said, Be a Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path.

i moved today. to eden. well i still have bedframe to get. but i am pretty much moved.

i made the annoucement to my friends this morning i wasnt going to take BP job. and many of them thought why wouldnt you. i said i dont want to. so i didnt. i changed my mind about it. im allowed too change my mind. some of them said you should have took that job.

on my way to eden this morning with some empty totes i stopped and went off the path. i left my phone and walled way into the forest. far beyond the trail and any civilaztion. i do that time to time.

i stood there. listening to the the sounds of the forest. i saw a buck deer and i saw a little black bear off into the distance. lots of birds chirping. nobody around for miles. im way deep in the forest. i thought nobody had been out there if anyones been out there besides me for a very long time. absolutely no tracks other than critters in the deep moss.

i took a deep breath and said, DUDE am I on the right path? should i have taken the Border Patrol Job?

i stood there a while and didnt get an answer. i took a couple steps forward and said well thanks for listening anyway DUDE. when i stepped forward I stepped on something and it crinkle snapped. i looked down and it was a pair of sunglasses.

i looked around and there was all around me thousands of pairs of brand new sunglases. i counted 4,596 pairs to be exact. i went and got my totes out of my car and filled 3 giant totes to the top full of brand new sunglasses.

after i loaded them up, i rememered what i said coming out of that provisional space, ~ Be A Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my Path. ~

and THE DUDE replied, You are going to need these.

  17. Oh. Almost forgot…
One reviewer said that little radio was “hackable” for full frequency (ham) coverage. No details, unknown if this is a fact,

    (Personally, I don’t–and won’t — have a radio that isn’t — hasn’t — been “extended.”)

I’m a Good Boy, but I like optimum options.

I know a lot of guys are considering GMRS radios beyond the cheepie talkies….

  18. CANCEL MY RECOMMENDATION FOR THAT LITTLE RADIO. Lotta problems.

    It’s actually a “RETEVIS RA-25”

Too complex to explain. Would have been VERY nice.\

I MAY be a comer before long, but for now it has to much Chinese half-baked thinking in it.

  19. What a job !
It was just discovered that the Massachusetts University’s Chief of Police has spent the last eighteen months working from Florida.
    .., and –
Pope Francis has landed in Indonesia – think he’ll make it out alive?

  20. I’ve had the same type of sleepy sluggishness all weekend, too, but still managed two 3+ mile power walks. I also got a double shipment from SGA via the Brown Truck this PM. On orders over $200 they pay the freight and fees, and I don’t know how they make $ unless they buy good batches at the drop of a hat. I’m debating one more order in a long-gun caliber. I’m in the southern ATL metro area and I’m afraid between now and the selection that it will really become Hotlanta. Be a grey man, but a prepared one. Gray Fox

  21. “But real estate values in freefall is not a Cali-only problem.”

    Where?

I was at me local farm store last night, ogling the Henry .44mag saddle guns when I overheard a fellow talking to the gun-counter CSR about his spare house. ‘Seems he inherited it from his father, who passed about two years ago. He is in the process of R&R and hasn’t decided whether to rent or sell. What caught my ear was he said he has had over 400 offers for the property, even though it’s not on the market (yet…)

  22. Folks,

The transcript is out for yesterday’s 24 minute “Investing in America” event. It was streamed from The South Court Auditorium adjacent to the White House featuring President Biden. The Administration has been busy building roads and bridges, expanding cheap drugs, and removing lead from pipes. One journalist managed to launch a question to the President about a Gaza ceasefire at the close of the carefully choreographed routine. The President responded as follows after a 26 second time delay: “The answer to all your questions is whatever you want to hear.”

    End of Broadcast.

  23. PS:
Russian disinfo media are reminding readers that President Putin’s birthday falls on October 7th. No gifts requested, and apparently airmailed Nato salutations via Kyiv are unwelcome.
