The FEMA Calamity

A recent Peoplenomics report may have sounded a bit harsh on FEMA. But NC events are making it clear: We weren’t tough enough. Some observations and suggestions plus a sampling of reader reports kicks off the weekend.

And then we roll into the most perplexing question of all: With global war, FEMA incompetence, and no sign of a genuine “crisis ready leader” for the Oval, why are markets holding up so well?

Toss in a few war front notes – got lots of them to pick through – and it’s a report that is sure to have you muttering “Glad it’s the weekend!”

    • Clawsy: all coordinated by the Banker Elite, planned to give aid and comfort to those needing to unwind carry trade. It’s a dance of sorts. Like on the decks of a famous ocean liner sailing through hard water. Please stand by, Egor

    • this is not trading advise.

      it is my understanding,

The yen is set to tank. it was set to tank back when japan ran negative interest rates.

that being said. it is also my understanding,
the iraqi denari is set to rocket. it will be backed by Gold and tied to XRP. (ripple)
      through Basel 3 system.

which is replacing swift. faster than light transaction speed through XRP.

you know the Rothchild family owns 1/4 of all XRP.

you think the Rothchild family know a thing or two about Banking???

      its all in play.

    • from my studies Iraq is the prototype for the new world banking system, Basel 3. which transfers money via the crypto systems of XRP and Solana. there is FED doccuments i have read that confirm this.

lllThe IRaqi Denari is the first proto type for this new system. once it is revalued (they are currently deleting 0’s) and established on the Gold standard. it will be the new template for all other currencies to follow.

    • or ya can be distracted by a mirade of things. p.diddy is a good distraction and it is outrageous! the Hollywood pedo take down. or the homeland invasion of migrants. and how they all get free rent, free utilities for 2 years and you the hard working american get bent over on pay day with a 25% tax on a $2000 weekly check. and have to pay your bills, untilities and the bills of others who here illegaly.

fema another good one to be pissrd about. the Ukrain is another good one to get excited about. or the Trump verses Harris for President. or the Israel And Iran Conflict. another great distraction. there is pleanty to be pissed off about. get ya all thrashing around in your lawn chair, or standing in your living room yelling at the T.V.

quick look over here! now look over here! did you see that!!!! what about this!!!!!

as long as you dont see the federal banks around the globe are setting the table that everyone will use to do banking. using their 20 year investment (U.S. War/ Invasion/ Haiburton Construction Extravaganza) into Iraq as. template for the entire world, to do transactions through crypto currency with a fiat (the denari) pegged to gold standard.

you know, once all them currencies go zim-bob-way who arent pegged to the gold standard.

every country will scream heartly, yes! accept a gold standard. that is the way ya do it.

you know, Iraq, home of the Original Babylon.

as long as ya dont see that going on.

just keep yelling at your TV with your Maga hat on.

      • I don’t own a Maga cap. $2000 a week ? That’s in the 61st percentile for household income. If you can’t live off that, you got lifestyle and discipline issues. CA minimum wage is more like $600 a week (which is double the poverty line). Giving rent assistance and other freebies to non-citizens is both insult and injury to real wage earners.

        • you can…I am not complaining at all I live quite well on what we take in but to live on two grand a month you would have to dump the house taxes and the insurance.. cut back a little bit we only dine at home…. then you would have to stop driving a car.. but it is totally doable..if you can get rent under a thousand a month.. we easily pay half of that just in insurance and house taxes one fourth of that in just the water sewer per month… that isn’t counting health insurance.. for JUST the wife.. her health insurance was MORE that what that is..per month and they didn’t pay a dime out until you reached the deductible.. then you got the fifty dollars to visit a clinic and two fifty if you seen a real doctor or a specialist.. and any medications you got..
in california.. I am not sure what rent is there.. but from things I have read its way more than the wastelands and in the wastelands low income housing with assistance is between a grand and two grand a month.across down the block they pay a grand a month pluss water sewer and gas electric which would put it just shy the two grand a month.. No cable.. cable would top two grand a month… then there is income tax… you know I pay more in income tax than a sibbling that makes several times more than what we make.. they have the govt golden goose health plan to and they pay no more than a couple hundred a month for that and their deductible for a whole family is less than the premiums for one month..

    • that is the meaning of the gold coin i found in the center of the divine laberynth that day. on top of the stone letter I, as in eye ->>> See.

As of 8:19 AM ET on October 4, 2024, the price of gold was $2,660 per ounce.

(Note: interesting that google A.I. pegged 8:19, that is my birthday)

according to my understanding some of which was intuitively provided durring meditation, as in know where to look,

if the future was today Clawsy,

$2,660 Us Dollars, One Gold coin.

= 1 Iraqi Denari, One Gold Coin.

      capiche?

all riding along the back bone of ripple, between bank transfers, ie: direct deposit, instant transfer, tap it at the pump and fill er up fella.

      :)

you are all soley responsible with what ever decsission you make albiet financial or other, with the information and conclusions i have discovered and decided to share with the rest of the class here.

      Good Luck and God Speed.

    • uhem. you are all grown ass adults. what ever you decided to financially with any info i have provided in my studies is your responsibility.

afa skin in the game? i bought a thousand dollars in XRP and i bought a thousand dollars on Iraqi Denari as soon as i came to that conclusion. with all the evidence provided to me. i went to straight down to currency exhange international slapped down a thousand cash and walked out with my Iraqi denar in cash shortly after.

sealed it up nice and tight.

dug a hole out in the woods and burried it.

picked up some candian bacon too incase the US dollar collapses. might be worth more. if it does.

what the hell not. right? its only a couple grand. if my read is right? could be worth a A 90-foot sailboat which i would name Primus.

i worked as a casino regulator for 9 years. all casinos have there own money called chips. if ya wanna play in a casino, ya have to buy chips.

again, you do as you like. that is what i see, and if ya research it all, im sure you will draw some of the same conclusions. im not offering a red pill or a blue pill. big pharma offers pills. i dont do pills. i look at data.

whatever you choose? its up to and on you. :)

  1. The Universe has it’s own Sense of Humor:

“‘Hit the nuclear first and worry about the rest later’: Trump urges Israel to strike Iran”

    https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-823243

From various reports the only way Israel can destroy Iran’s deep underground uranium facilities on it’s own is with Nuclear Weapons, one can see where this statement can encourage Israel to do that

(IF the US instead would do the attack our deep penetrating bunker busters reportedly might work … but Israel doesn’t have those and even if it did it doesn’t have the aircraft to carry one – remember there are MULTIPLE sites involved)

So …. now the debate inside Israel’s Cabinet has just had gasoline thrown on it’s fire since by all indication the Defense Sec and the head of Israel’s armed forces have been trying to hold the line wrt NO use of nuclear weapons now have had their legs chopped out from under them.

    Timing if they “GO”?
    Before or after the election?

  2. FEMA = business model..they have been “MICed”.

    As has majority of house&senate.

Majority homosexual perverts, like the hillbilly lisping pervert speaker of house Mi Johnson.

If ins You aint on the approved” vendor list, Ure scheisse aint getting thru feds..without FORCE. you know how to get on the list, dont play dumb -kkkKICK BACKS! its abusiness model afterall.

Everythings a business model any more, the 1st chapter in the “The Book of G”.

Small lithium mine in NC – aint nothing like what we got in that caldera out west Nevada ways..too bad its sitting on Indian Reservation land.. its OLD tech anymore G Dog, old tech.

Look at the land of the dot heads – cant miss em, there are bazillions of em running around on the sub-continent..oh holy cow! Why Holy ?
..cow dung provided material and environment for magic mushrooms to grow – how Civilization was “enlightened”. See modern Gibbons in India – same behavior going on right now.

Any who they be working furiously on hot new and shiny tech – think Mild Steel Anode in a Rechargeable Iron Ion Battery . Future already hear.

PS – Youse all should look into recruiting a Wandgina for Ure local municipality, rumored to be better at steering massive hurricanes than airfarce & nexxrads. “Sylfian” technology is also very effective in “balancing” Storms. Do Ure own research there…shhhh.

  3. Yeah, there’s been a lot of controversy about FEMA. Some folks saying FEMA didn’t give money to illegals and, a lot of folks saying they did. I believe they did …

Folks saying they can’t get help to flood victims because FEMA is stopping them … Elon is the biggest name claiming that …

And the simple folks before Musk Encountered the Snub …

And some people say their donations are (going to be) getting through to the victims …

    https://corporate.walmart.com/news/2024/10/04/walmart-sams-club-and-the-walmart-foundation-increase-commitment-to-10-million-to-hurricane-helene-relief-efforts

I heard there’s a huge difference between giving FEMA cash and, giving supplies. But I won’t go into that.

    Meanwhile the rescues continue …

That one was exciting with a heartwarming ending but, for many it’s been to the extreme of being horrific and I won’t show you that.

Meanwhile … A man goes off on Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman at CUNY over Helene victims, and the U.S. sending billions in aid to Ukraine and Israel.

    I’d say, that was intense.

    Have a good day, everyone

    • Pathfinder Bob:

I bet actual FEMA folks are grappling with the enormity of task as best they can. The powerful (acting on agenda) are also in the game, sadly in charge of same. We can do better. We should do better. I’m apoplectic / semi Tourette (too-RET) here. LFG!

We have the means and product. Save someone pls.
Then save someone else. Rinse / repeat.
      Send in our military.

      Thanks in advance,
      Egor

    • I can’t help it. Every time I see that impeached, treasonous My-Dork-Ass I want to crack his egghead. He lies with such an arrogant smirk.

    • We may never know what’s really happening in NC. Less than an hour ago, I talked to a friend who lives in a mountainside cabin in Banner Elk, NC. Her area was damaged, although not as badly as some other places. She said there is NO blocking of supplies at all. Planes and trucks have been continually delivering supplies. She has even helped unload them. She sees helicopters and hears generators all day long. She hasn’t heard of any nefarious FEMA [in]activity and doubts that her area is an exception. The locals are complaining about what they say are false reports and want people to stop making up stories.

I didn’t think to ask her whether they’re being helped by FEMA or the state, but the point is that help is NOT being blocked, at least in her location, and as far as she has heard, nowhere else, either. So what can we conclude about all the contrary reports? Are we living in different universes?

      • As I pointed out on PN this morning, the key thing is for politicians to be barred fromm within 500 nm of a disaster – because this is being polarized and that’s BS.. FEMA is an issue, but we have two broken parties, too.

        • yes we do.. NOT one stayed in DC to deal with what would be a tsunami of evidence on any of the issues..It totally appears that they have off until after the election..
that is the issue with the bubble of the beltway.. if it doesn’t affect them personally.. they don’t know anything about how to deal with it.. if you grew up with easy wages and easy credit.. you only know the good of what you have experienced.. which is why the vast majority of those prepping for a disaster are prepping with technology they assume will still be available and with funds.. a case of tp is enough.. Not one thought to HELL on earth..

which is why I say.. if the SHTF and it goes the way it appears it will go.. the few remaining alive will be like rats in the ghetto living in what ever they can find like an old dumpster..
the ones that will survive are colonies that prepped as colonies.. go to any amish colony now.. and you will see no stress over housing or medical.. the whole system was set up that way.. it will be a nice norman rockwell community..
here is one small amish community..

          https://urbanacres.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Mount-Vernon-Lisbon-Urban-Acres-1024×571-1.jpeg

my wifes uncle built small houses.. after he retired.. his museum of small buildings is at this community.. and I went to the colony just to get cucumbers.. what I seen was a community that is from the fifties.. everyone happy and no stress.. the girls teased me about my garden.. it was a nice relaxing trip.. and an eye opener..

wrong photo.. here is the museum that the bosses uncle made.. he took his collections around the world and so many were lost in transit then the colony said here you an put it here..
beautiful work inside and out..they make great cheese there to..

thanks for the share… there’s three or four books there that I want to read..

  4. (“anyone who’s a reporter has to see and understand that politics and disaster responses don’t mix. All the politicians should have enough understanding of command issues to stay out of the way and let professionals orchestrate the response.”)

Exactly its the business model.. the same thing goes with the VA healthcare system.. they run it like a government office not a medical system..
if they ran it as a medical system and kept politics out of it.. it would be more efficient than it is..
where this hurts is.. keeping the assistance from the tax paying citizens.. and promoting their business models.. is not winning any trophies here.. and when the time comes to quickly get assistance in a govt entity people will question .. well when we needed help where were you then.. and they will refuse to help.. and congress out on vacation until after the election.. who knew.. its always about the business model..
Why should anyone want to support a system that is showing everyone just how corrupt they truly are..

  5. “FEMA incompetence”

The thing about FEMA is they treat everyone equally. Recall 20 years ago during 2005, the height of the Katrina disaster.

“Kanye West said, ‘George Bush doesn’t care about Black people'”

Today we have, ‘Biden doesn’t like white people.’

And don’t forget billionaires wanting new cities. Telosa is/was looking for cheap land in Appalachia.

“Telosa is a proposed utopian planned US city conceived by American billionaire Marc Lore and announced in September 2021. The project has a target population of 5 million people by 2050, with the first phase of construction expected to house 50,000.”

Kick ’em when they’re down and buy low/sell high.

    • The problem with “cheap land” in Appalachia is that there is very little LEVEL land in Appalachia except for down in the creek and river valleys where these type of floods generally occur every 50 to 100 years (this is NOT the 1st time these valleys have flooded … you have 1916 and an even worse one back in the late 1700’s)

It is expensive as shit to create Level Land for building on in Appalachia as soon as one gets just a few feet above the Flood Plain which will deter any large scale development in that region.

There WAS an option to have a LOT of level land there back in the 1970’s and 1980’s after the Strip Mine Reclamation Bill was passed by the Congress in 1974 but at the time that Bill was being drafted the Sierra Club and the other “Nature” groups did NOT want Appalachia to develop, in fact they wanted to DEPOPULATE the entire area, and mostly got their wish.

At time there was a LOT of strip mining going on throughout Appalachia, not just underground mines, and a LOT of by then closed strip mines. Strip mines by their very nature create a LOT of level land, though with the good soil pushed off to the side which alas created even MORE level land.

What that “Strip Mine Reclamation Bill” did was to ORDER the strip mines to RECREATE hills and deep valleys … yep get rid of the now level land that had been created and
now existed … and return EACH strip mine to it’s OLD “approximate contour”. The bill made it ILLEGAL to leave any land level in other words.

Yep … the strip mines until “reclaimed” was ugly … but all that top soil that they took off to get to the coal was just off to the side and in fact that top soil that was pushed off to the side was what they used to RECREATE the hills that they had just dug out for the coal.

Instead of RECREATING hills with that top soil just pushing it over the now level land would have given the region LOTS of USABLE agricultural land, yep high acidic but they were creating plants that could thrive in that soil anyway (and that is the same soil with the same chemistry that had to be replanted after the hills were recreated). In my state tens of thousands of acres were converted to hilly pasture land, and cattle and other grazing animals do well with those plants which were optimized for the acid soil.

Voila … if the Reclamation Law had been written to “reclaim” those strip mines as level land but to cover with the top soil that was right next to them, which they did anyway in recreating the hills and valleys, there would be tens of thousands of FLAT areas throughout Appalachia that was OUT of the flood plain that could be used to build upon today. And in flying over you would only see FLAT fields of grass here and there on mountain tops versus just the hills and trees you see today.

The Environmentalists will NEVER allow the amount of land contour changes needed to build a city of that size in the middle of the mountains since it would require massive amounts of VERY EXPENSIVE earth sculpting to accomplish, something that could have been obtained FOR FREE but they rejected back in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Yep … Appalachia had the chance to develop away from the Flood Prone valleys, which have very little flat land, and have lots of land for people to buy ABOVE the flood plains … but the Environmentalists did everything they could to keep that from happening via their Strip Mine Reclamation Bill of 1974.

      • The best pair of gloves I ever had came from there..
we would go caving there.. went into this small restaurant.. picnic tables and a sign breakfast a buck and a quarter.. sat down and out it came anything and everything you could think of the milk ice cold and fresh.. you could see the cream at the top of the glass..across the street was the shop with the gloves..
nice place.. if I could have found a job there that’s where I would have settled..

    • (“Today we have, ‘Biden doesn’t like white people.’”)

I don’t believe that.. in all his years at the feed trough of the beltway..He has learned that percentages to keep him in office and feeding at the beltway troughs..

      https://www.iheart.com/content/2020-08-20-joe-bidens-six-decades-of-racism/

its all about the business model. for four years twenty four seven three sixty five we heard nonstop criticism of trumps locker room remarks .. now for four years we have heard nothing but praise about the brand and not one word about the degrading of children women and ethnic groups. the opening of the borders and neglectful attitude towards taxpayer and their needs.
kamala even changes her ethnic background depending on where she is at and who she’s talking to..
all while being a non effective vice president..
      its always the business model.

  6. “ Why should anyone want to support a system that is showing everyone just how corrupt they truly are..”

    Damn good question LOOB.
If everyone who is thinking that would all say it out loud at the same time, the sound would be deafening.

Folks are betting (voting) soon, to give it all one more chance to change. If it doesn’t to a reasonably satisfied population, shits gonna hit the fan … hard. That’s my humble opinion.

Gonna take some mushrooms to quite the crowd, but I don’t think that’s going to work for the elite either. We’ll just all go tribal and stand the ground.

Amazing how resilient people really are. Specially when they’re pissed. Lots of anger out there and I don’t believe it’s passive.

    • From what I hear..no one trusts the government.. even congress all sides are being non effective.. they were just dragging dead horse issues to gain voters.. not actually do anything.
even the heads of the agencies have lost the respect of the majority of their staff.. for every whistle blower there’s an estimated ten thousand that think the same way but are afraid to come forward.. could these jokers rebuild the image to their coworkers.. hard to say..

    • the thing is.. I can’t honeslty say I would be any different.. I did quit the best job I ever had.. all because of my moral and ethical beliefs.. walking in the break room and seeing a young woman giving the boss head for a job position.. was disgusting to me.. but today.. knowing that the job I had would have been worth in the six digits in the early eighties.. when I was making low five digit range.. I would probably calmly leave and let them do their thing..
having listened to stories from those that have had it way worse than I have.. I don’t know what I would have done.. if I hadn’t of experienced the times I have had..
Most people have a case of beans and a couple gallons of water.. a chainsaw and a pickup buying gold and silver in the thought that it will still hold value.. Now I don’t know any place today that will accept either of those for goods.. as long as there is someone that is collecting it.. and sees it as value.. then it will..
thats what makes the Beltway bubble so dangerous.. none of these guys know what everyone else is experiencing.. its not part of their lives.. they pretty much can do what they want and no one will say anything to them..drive as fast as they want on the road.. laws don’t pertain to them..
people prep with the idea that everything today will still be there..
an old friend use to give me crap about solar.. I paid fifteen dollars a watt for it.. then a hurricane hit in the east coast.. he had a generator .. but fuel stopped once the fuel stopped.. he went like everyone else to get some.. only to discover it wasn’t there.. he called me and apologized to me because he could cook an egg on his countertop..

  7. Good morning. This new meditation book my Momma sent me is sooooo good. it is one of the best books i have ever read.

    A line from todays reading,

“When you daily yeild in Love (meditate) you release the fragrance of Heaven effortlessly thoughout the day.”

the sinus cavity is where the 3rd eye resides. intuition follows smell.

How coooool!!!! To smell like Heaven! How cool is that! Wow! I want to smell like heaven daily everywhere i go! I want people to smell Heaven on me.

that is one of the coolest things i have ever read. ever.

  8. I am not sure how anyone can read your dissertation on the government response to the horrible natural disaster left behind by Hurricane Helene and not be very very angry. This a 5 alarm, all hands on deck tragedy. My basement was flooded with 3 inches of rain. These people had 3 feet!

Not enough FEMA funds for these generations of hard working Americans because the money was spent housing, feeding, schooling and getting drivers licenses for “illegal” aliens. AYFKM.

If I was much younger, I would pack my bags and join a volunteer group to help these good people. At this stage of my life, all I can do is ask where can I send money to ensure it gets to them. Certainly not the government. Red Cross? Samaritans Purse?

    • The folks on the ground say: “Absolutely do NOT donate to FEMA or the Red Cross.”

Samaritan’s Purse is Franklin Graham. It’s based in Boone, NC, right in the middle of the damage area.

Mercury One is Glenn Beck. They were first in, for both Helene, and the Afghan airlift after Biden’s premature withdrawal.

Cajun Navy 2016 cut their teeth on hurricane recovery.

Mountain Mule Packer Ranch is local, and is running mule trains all through the damage area. Many thousands of storm refugees can not be accessed by road or air. The mule trains are doing stuff no other SAR organization can.

The other four I know little about, other than both Crowd Source and Marcos (actually Marcos Island, FL) do animal rescue and care as well as human SAR.

As always, do your own research…

    • Sadly most of the funds go to a few at the top. I use to give to one locally only to discover the money went for a few vacation condos and a couple of planes..
A good example is the PTL club..

      https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/magazine/1584680/jim-and-tammy-faye-bakker-a-scandal-of-the-self/

similarly our political leaders didn’t intend to sway.. but bring in bushel baskets of cash ,gifts , vacations, sexual activities.. and it slowly takes over their life.

      • Samaritan’s Purse, Mercury One, and Cajun Navy 2016 are using 100% of donations for their relief efforts. Mercury One has actually partnered with the Cajun Navy and is helping finance their efforts, as well.

    • BIC, if you’d move to the USA, I’d nominate you for president! If only we had 200 million folks who think like you do, we’d be back on top of the world!

I don’t know anything about the Samaritan’s Purse, but I would not give a penny to the Red Cross. My charitable donations go to Mercury One, Glenn Beck’s charity. He claims, and I’ve never seen it refuted, that every cent donated goes to the disaster victims. None of the money goes to salaries or operating expenses.

      • (“BIC, if you’d move to the USA, I’d nominate you for president! If only we had 200 million folks who think like you do, we’d be back on top of the world!”)

I would to.. but then look at Trump.. he worked for the people those pulling the strings didn’t like it.. and look what it has gotten him.. ten years of being attacked non stop.. two assassination attempts with the perpetrators having questionable trails that all seem to have historical ties that go in the general direction to agencies in the bubble of the beltway..
the whole system totally appears to be broken.. The Fiat Currencies are all on the line.. our border is being seiged with illegals and our administration is shoving money out a lightning speed to them and wars.. there are so many twists and turns where this whole thing can implode its beyond comprehension how anyone in our government could be that stupid.. yet when you see them they appear as if non of this is real.. all while citizens that pay their salary are struggling to even get by.. one ugly mess if you ask my honest opinion.. people love gold and silver but give me a break who in the hell would buy it.. if the SHTF for real..
you would seriously want some beans or wheat..

    Folks,
Yesterday’s “South Bend Tribune” published an image of an arrived Boeing C-17A Globemaster III at South Bend International Airport. The President and First Lady were understood to be descending from on high into South Bend as soon as today. The approximately four hour long visit was noted as being for a “reception or wedding”, and not a political event. Indeed today’s White House schedule reflects the First Couple’s journey to South Bend underway with no destination event stated.

Do choose a comfy chair as DJ George warms up the vacuum tubes in studio for imminent broadcast. The introductory march will doubtless ring familiar from the Richard Wagner catalogue. According to Wikipedia, it was first played in 1858 at the wedding of Victoria, Princess Royal, eldest daughter of Queen Victoria, and future mother of the ill-fated Kaiser Wilhelm II of WW 1.

And now please standby as DJ George launches towards the “forbidden question” of the “Lohengrin” opera – the “Bridal Chorus”, perhaps more commonly referenced as “Here Comes the Bride”.

Afterwards per the WH Schedule, the First Couple will retire by air to Camp David.

    • I’d be very happy if the first and second couple retired permanently from public life! They can go sit on a beach or just cackle with crows for all I care. Just get out of the way! We simply don’t need these pretenders to the pretend throne.

Neither is willing to do what’s good for America. In my mind, that disqualifies them both.

    • Jester, cra-cra if true. I used to live in “the Bend” and don’t think it’d be welcome, the visit tying up traffic throughout the (medium sized) midwestern town. Maybe Mayor Pete made the reservations, cleared transport lane. Or not. Egor

        • Speaking of bye weeks – did someone forgot to tell Big Al’s Boys – Roll Tide was playing this weekend after previous weeks big victory over Georgia Bulldogs?
Wheres coach Saban ? What happened ?

oh well, must be time for the Big 10 to shine…

          ..We Are,

          PENN STATE !

Cue the Lion ROAR! : D

        • @Steps_in_it

          “..We Are,

          PENN STATE !”

          You are,

          utterly doomed!

Penn State is my playoff sleeper team, therefore (since I’m never right on sports calls), by January 2nd, the Lions are sure to be knittin’ instead of playin’.

          You’re welcome…

  10. I never figured that in my life-time, we would be fighting Russia. I thought that after the collapse and Putin consolidated his power we would go right back to the spy-craft, subversion and one-up-man-ship, political & military games.
It never crossed my mind that we [ our government] would overthrow an elected government and then use that country to start a war with Russia. Ukraine is the fodder of our ambitions. It will take decades for that country to recover – if it ever really does.
Guess I am naive in that sense. For I see nothing to be gained. To me, an untapped, large gas field means very when little compared to the flashing red lights warning of incoming ICBM’s. What was gained?
.., and I have an odd feeling that it, this proxy-war with Russia, is about to take major step forward. I can’t explain it., but something doesn’t smell right.
And now Israel is on the cusp of a major, multi-front war with heavily armed terrorist organizations and a neighboring country that will sacrifice itself and its people to see that Israel is completely obliterated. Peace? – there can be no peace. It will never end. Even if both sides destroy each other in an all-out war., the hatred for the other will remain and it will start all over again. Nirvana is not on their menu.
Have you noticed that China has been very quiet of late ? Just before Israel ground troops entered Lebanon, China has seemingly disappeared from the media. Why? What the hell is he up-to now ?
.., and in case you missed it – for the past decade Japan has worked feverishly to rebuild its military.., especially it’s army and navy. They are now the forth largest in the world. You might have missed it., but China hasn’t.., and China will ‘never’ forgive Japan for what it did to them at the start of WWll. Oh – yeah.., they shook hands a few years back, bygones be bygones – but they don’t think like that. Never have. Probably never will. It was all for show.
A fully militarized Japan, once again., is not something to ignore. And you can bet the China will not.
    .
    .., and where is the Belgorod? [ K-329 ]

    • “and I have an odd feeling that it, this proxy-war with Russia, is about to take major step forward. I can’t explain it., but something doesn’t smell right.”

The giveaway is the postponement of the longshoreman’s strike.

N.B. Biden made his FIRST EVER press briefing to make it abundantly clear that HE, not Harris, arranged the postponement.

Teamsters and police & fire unions NEVER back a Republican. The Democrats’ internal polling indicate that Trump is going to win in a landslide, and that the win will be so substantial they won’t be able to steal the election. Democrat politicians are not nice people. They will again attempt to sabotage the country and hamstring Trump, so he will be so busy fixing shit that he can do little to upset their rotten-apple carts.

If you can envision “something bad, this way cometh,” there will likely be a plan by the Administration for it to actually happen between November 6th and January 20th.

      To quote myself:

The 58 days between Election Day and the swearing-in of the next President will be the most-dangerous time period in the history of our species.

    • BTW, in 2015, Japan was estimated to be less than 6 months away from developing a nuke. They were not doing so, but made considerable noise directed toward the Obama Administration, that they might have to do the dev work to be able to defend themselves against China.

    • This is Golden Week in China. It’s a week of patriotism and celebration for the entire country. I suspect that China’s leaders are at least overtly celebrating their holiday. Whatever else is happening is hidden if for no other reason than to avoid interfering with this patriotic holiday.

Most Chinese take patriotism very seriously.

  11. It almost seems as if there are some similarities to what happened after the War of Northern Aggression when the politicians and their corporate cronies descended upon a decimated Confederacy to grab up the best plantations, ranches and land for future railroad right of ways. They’ll be using the same tactics, too, sell for the pittance we offer or we will just wait and buy it up for back taxes, or in this age have it taken by imminent domain declarations.

    Gray Fox

    • kinda like Nixon tipping off lady bird johnson bout I10 and where national highway admin was going to run it thru – She and local Rep bot up all the realestate along planned route.

Durty Is, As durty does .

  12. Unfortunate musical choice for the victims of Helene. Just remember who your friends aren’t as they deny you any help. November is just ahead. Send them packing…

    How does it feel,
    to be on your own?
    No direction home,
    a complete unknown,
    Like a rolling stone?
…apologies to Bob Dylan, but the song is just too appropriate for the tragedy of the storm and the pathetic response of our imitation “government”.
I expect that the $750.00 and all outta luck now victims, will be taxed on that money somehow. I don’t think it would pay for 6 nites in a CHEAP motel, if there were one still open.
Can’t figure out why the victims haven’t grabbed the authorities by their ‘f***in throats and ran them off. Instant assholes have a shiny badge and a tiny little black heart.
They should either help out or get out.
Better get used to this if that duo of fools makes it into the White House. They intend to continue killing this nation by more of the same idiocy.
Isn’t this why they make rope…

  13. my website will have to waite another week. i bought a new bed.

call me the Burger King. i am the home of the whopper.

    :)

    have a wonderful weekend.

  14. Looks as though Stu is going to get hit again.
Tropical Storm Leslie has formed in the Gulf and predicted path has it hitting Florida as a hurricane – right over Stu., once again.
    .., damn !

  15. FEMA was formed as a “coordinating” management body. This is not a bad thing or BS. FEMA’s originally defined role was to have a thick Rolodex of many, many good numbers of known reliable and effective suppliers — sources — of Stuff. All kinds of Stuff. And transportation guys.

They also made contacts for delivery and prices, and held the contrcts always refreshed and ready to execute. These are Memos of Understanding, meant to pre-define roles and actions, and AVOID wrangles and discussions and tin-pot fifedom Authority Struggles. ALL of it was intended to speed things up in a disaster by having made all the enabling decisions in advance.

The People thought FEMA had many extra-big, giant warehouses spotted around the country, with dozens of big trucks empty and at loading dockside, all ready to go.

Nice, but that was not ever done or even planned.

If anything FEMA over-sold their P.R. ; and then was distorted and modified by evil Politicians to take on roles it was never able or designed to do.

Think; a coordinating group, with a fist full of contracts and a fat Rolodex. No real power, authority, or assets — just advice and contacts.

Then, they got bent into an all-purpose, poorly-led, catch-all fiasco. The truth was never told.

At the core it is insane, and badly-run by stupid opportunists and glory hounds. C-list morons.

Also: The Hills are full of conservative thinkers and off-grid loners. Probably good not to facilitate their voting too quickly — they probably would vote “wrong.”

You don’t have to actually kill ’em. Just string it out to burn the clock. “Well, WE did everythning we could. The sudden storm killed all them people.”

    (Probably due to Global Warming…)

    • Simply put – fema IS now a CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION.

      Wake the F up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. FEMA plans for specific relief scenarios. Like all government agencies, FEMA is a rules based outfit. Apparently what happened in the Appalachians was not something they had rules or a support plan for in their back pocket for. The same in Hawaii. Not sure why anyone would expect grants being doled out to individuals by FEMA.

  17. “FEMA is irreversibly broken. It needs to be reinvented, Because its roll has been corrupted by too many power-wielding bureaucrats.”

Like most Federal programs, FEMA has no business running “emergency management.” Its ideal use would be as an advisory entity to coordinate (but not run) the various State EMAs. Disaster response should be run by the counties’ Sheriffs, with State oversight to coordinate the county response, and Federal oversight only to coordinate the States’ response to a regional issue.

Government is ALWAYS most-responsive and most-efficient at the local level. The more layers of bureaucracy one adds to the structure, the less responsive and efficient, and the more wasteful, both in response and in resource-management, the structure becomes.

    • Ray,

Remember the Before Time, before there was so much “government?”

“People old enough to remember the Before Time – i.e., the time when in most everyday matters, people who weren’t causing harm were generally free to do as they liked – know what it was like to be a parent or a child and go for a drive in those times.

As opposed to what it’s like now. More finely, – what it requires you to have and to pay for now.

      Government-mandated “safety” seats for kids.

There is always a degree of danger when riding in a car. It may be hypothetically greater to ride in car not buckled-up or not strapped in (if you’re a kid). But just because something might happen does not mean it will. And obsessing over the might is . . . neurotic.”

  18. “War is still about breaking things and killing people. As we read how Russia kills 177 Ukrainian POWs in captivity – Euromaidan Press.”

What? Still getting “intel and information” from the folks responsible for the replacement of the duly-elected Ukrainian government in 2014? “-maidan” ANYTHING should proffer up a ginormous red flag…

The American “journalistic” counterpart to “Maidan” is SPLC.

If’fn one were to READ the article, they’d eventually come to the following:

“At least 177 Ukrainian prisoners of war have died in Russian captivity since the onset of all-out war, Victoria Tymbaliuk, a representative of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, told Politico.”

This article actually says that: “177 Ukrainian POWs have died from all causes, over the past three years.”

The article references 16 Ukrainian soldiers who were executed by Russian firing squad. (In a war, espionage and sedition are typically punished by execution.)

The article THEN makes it sound as if the Russians have murdered 177 POWs. It is bad enough, having to decipher and distill “truth” from American “journalism.” We shouldn’t have to do so from foreign “journalism” as well.

  19. on the topic of washers and dryers:

shortly after my last comment. as i said, i pay close attention to the world around me and events after i comment on here.

earlier before my comments here. i washed some clothes.

after my comment, i pulled out all my clothes out of the dryer, and while folding them
and i didnt have a single random sock that was left over without a match.

there is always one random sock with out a match. always.

All my socks paired up. probably for the first time in my life. all 12 pairs matched.

    hmmmmmm. everything paird up.

oh. a thousand US is a Million Three on Denari. Cash.

    idea!

well, off to purchase a lotto ticket. hope y’all a happy Yee Haw!

    i am officially a Millionare.

    woooooooooo!

  20. This article addresses the FEMA/Ukraine/immigrant debate. The author does include documentation (including government documents) to back up his assertions.

Meanwhile, the US has just inserted its military directly into the Israel/Iran conflict by conducting large-scale attacks on Yemen. The initial report said it was to preemptively halt a planned ballistic attack on Israel by Houthi rebels. That report was taken down before I could link to it – I can think of more than one possible reason for that. This article does describe what took place. I’d suggest opening it in private mode, unless you like popups and other obstacles.

  21. ha. after i commented about the socks. i laid on my brand new bed. the other one err uhhb got busted. ha ha ha. if ya catch my drift.

    • Will you please buy a lottery ticket for me too Andy? I have a drawer fill of single socks. The mates never returned. I always thought they were stolen by a person with one foot.

      • LOL you know the easy way to not have the single sock monster take the socks… LOL

you can.. wear two socks any color or style.. be a fashion guru… or do like I do.. I only buy white socks and black socks.. the same style and brand.. no matter what you will always have a pair..
the other thing I do.. is when I take a pair off.. I mate them fold the top over so that when they go in the wash there are two in the wash at the same time.. the agitation separates the socks in the washer.. and out comes two socks..
if one sock has a hole in it.. I toss that whole pair out.. so you don’t end up with one odd sock running through the drawers..
where most people don’t mate the socks.. when they put them in the laundry.. they have a few baskets of one sock only.. the sock monster took the other one..
just put the socks in the laundry just like in this photo..
        https://img.thrfun.com/img/002/062/pair_of_socks_m.jpg
the agitation of the machine will separate the socks and they will come out clean..
its been decades since I have lost a sock..
but heck buy a lotto ticket for me as well.. LOL.. I won’t waste money on it until it gets to any height at all.. why waste your money on what would basically amount to a loaf of bread and some bologna and cheese..

      • The perfect solution to the lost sock problem is to put all dirty socks into a mesh bag that has a zipper, usually called a lingerie bag (men don’t have to tell anyone its name). Be sure the zipper is closed all the way and then toss into the washer. Haven’t lost a sock since doing this!
