Housing Hit – Drops Below Inflation

Highlights from the Case-Shiller/S&P (which is Cotality?) Housing report just out.

YEAR-OVER-YEAR
The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index, covering all nine U.S. census
divisions, reported a 1.4% annual gain for November. The 10-City Composite showed an annual
increase of 2.0%, up from a 1.9% increase in the previous month. The 20-City Composite posted a
year-over-year increase of 1.4%, up from a 1.3% increase in the previous month.

MONTH-OVER-MONTH
The pre-seasonally adjusted U.S. National Index saw a drop of 0.1% and the 20-City Composite Index fell 0.03%, while the 10-City Composite Index increased 0.1%.

• The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index posted a 1.4% annual gain for November, in line with the previous month.

• Real home values declined as consumer inflation (2.7%) outpaced the National Index gain
(1.4%) by 1.3 percentage points.

• Regional divergence persisted: Midwestern and Northeastern markets led by Chicago (+5.7%) and New York (+5.0%) posted gains, while Sun Belt cities including Tampa (–3.9%), Phoenix (–1.4%), Dallas (–1.4%), and Miami (–1.0%) saw declines.

    • Andy found a silver fork six months ago. I found a silver spoon last year. Maybe somewhere halfway between us someone might be lucky enough to find a silver knife to complete the set.

  8. Second chances are good. I started off the day yesterday with my work computer simply refusing to communicate. Multiple sessions with IT and the ISP could not get it to take an IP address and talk.
    And then, in the middle of that, I almost went down choking on a spoonful (or two) of peanut butter, of all things. Literally all alone and no one coming to help. A last second self-administered Heimlich saved me. I was completely and absolutely plugged and probably less than 30 seconds away from blacking when I did the very aggressive emergency maneuver. Lucky I didn’t cause internal injuries. Literally a last gasp save. I think I had a cortisol dump to go along with it.
    Peanut butter was an off brand on sale; it went to the trash.
    The computer started working this morning of it’s own accord. Not sure what to make of all this. The biggest forks I have taken have always been the ones I failed to recognize until years later. Still processing this one.

    • forks are not just for eating, they are also for tuning. they set the tone, are for calibrating and idenitfying pure frequencies.

      i woke up feeling Rich today. flew out of bed and jumped up and said Thank YOU DUDE for making me a Winner.

      from my talks witb the Jedi Elders on the first and second mesa, the traditional hopi understanding is they live every day like its an entire life time. when you lay your head down at night, your life is over and the world ends and every morning when you wake up, you are given a whole new life and a new world is created. the people around you are the lives you lived yesterday and the life you will be tommorrow. even the people you don’t like. life is all one big enchanted mascarade.

      if life was a sailboat according to my understanding of the wisdom from the Jedi Elders.
      on a sail boat there is many parts. the keel, the ruder, main sail, the halyards, the mast, the hull, the sheets. etc etc. many many other parts. each part makes a whole sailboat. you experiance each new day as a part on the boat. after a full life cycle, you are a boat. so to speak.

      that is much different than most any concept i have ever heard about the meaning of life. i said what about the things you remember. they said they were created by the person who spent a day (life time) in that vessle before you. and you will create memories for the next person who will dwell in that creation tomorrow so they can experiance a whole life (a day) and see the world.

      so i asked, what about when people actually die? they said that is when person has returned to their original form after experiancing all the others. they completed the loop so to speak.

      i dont know if i buy the whole concept or not but it is much different than any other traditional religion i have ever heard about. and i find that fascinating.

      Meditation for the Day

      I will come to God in faith and He will give me a new way of life. This new way of life will alter my whole existence, the words I speak, and the influence I have. They will spring from the life within me. I see how important is the work of a person who has this new way of life. The words and the example of such a person can have a wide influence for good in the world.

      i might end up in Greenland. whatever THE DUDE Has planned, i want that.

      my purpose in life isnt about me. it isnt about making money, it isnt about success. it isnt about finding love. it isnt about learning. it isnt about getting laid by beautiful women. it isnt about experiancing different tastes. it isnt about victory or defeat. it isnt about ruling the world. it isnt about 9 to 5, an suv, 2.5 kids, a costco membership and white picket fence. my life is not about being a prophet or or pulling big stacks of chips off the table. its not building websites or being part of miracles.

      all though i have experianced most of those things, many times, they are not my purpose.

      ^ i was created and set in motion for The Purposes of THE DUDE. my aim is to see that accomplished. on the other side, i will see THY Eternal Glory.

    • P.S. according to the understanding of the Jedi elders, if you rip someone off today? you are probably taking from yourself tommorrow. and you wouldnt even know you stole from yourself. if you lie to someone today, tomorrow you might be that person and live an entire day having false information that you created for you and not even know it.

  9. THE BEST BREAD RECIPE

    now anyone that knows me or has read any of my recipes..knows I love to dinker around the kitchen.. make brews of all kind..and one of the thousands that participated in recipe testing for the cookbook..The able of the gods.. that was inspired by archeologists that wondered..what did they eat.. what did they drink.. https://www.tableofgods.com
    What gained my curiosity was the Chinese history on bread..that exceeds Egyptian bread culture by thousands of years..I won’t go into it and the sour dough connection because I’d write a dam book..but it was Their Steamed bread that was discovered during the Zhou Dynasty (1046–771?BC), when the first forms of steamed bread (early mantou) appeared.
    By the Han and Three Kingdoms periods (206?BC–280?AD), steamed bread was already well?established and recognized for its soft, fluffy texture. Today we see this same process done n sour dough bread.. where you take your sour dough yeast culture mix up the dough.. Then steam it..
    now the sweet bread.. it originated in China somewhere around ten thousand years ago..using fruit juices..while king tuts date and fig honey bread was discovered from UR and Babylonian society..which was also by accident..
    My curiosity was Chinese sweet bread..I use wheat flour..they used millet.. each culture has similar recipes..today’s Hopi Indians has the exact same recipe as they did in UR and Babylonian society..the next closest is Mexican..
    so here’s the recipe I love..tgat follows close to the ancient Chinese milk bread recipe called..Mantou..the first stuffed breads.. called..Baozi
    MILK BREAD

    100 G of sour dough starter or 1 packet of bread yeast pick your favorite..
    240 mil or one cup of warmed milk..( they would set it in a sunny bare a use room temperature)
    240 mil or one cup of room temperature water.
    1/2 cup of sugar ( they used fruit juices or date and fig honey.. honey from other cultures )
    1 egg
    mix this up let it sit covered or in A dark place until the yeast starts to propagate.. ( bubble )
    then sift in 400 grams of flour..
    make x it in the dough will be sticky in nature..this is normal..at this stage you can use it for a pour out pizza crust..smooth it in the greased pizza pan and pre bake for 10 – 20 minutes at 400 degrees then put your toppings on it and finish it up..
    for bread.. once the sticky dough starts rising then yoU put it on a floured surface. start mixing in flour indexing it..until you get a decent textured dough..for me it adds up to right at six cups of flour..the grease your pan put your dough in it..at this point you can cold ferment it..cover it with plastic wrap if you do that dust a little flour on top of the bread dough..otherwise it will stick to the plastic wrap.. or you can put it in a warm place and let it rise..when it gets just about to the top.. get a roasting pan and put about an inch of water..just like sour dough..put your bread in the bread pan in it.. put the cover on it..then place it in a cold oven..set the temp to 400 and the timer to one hour.
    the process of the oven preheating is your secondary fermentation..after you take the bread out..let it cool then put it on your bread board for what an hour..why do that..its steamed bread.. let the stem work out of it..you can say dam why didn’t I know this before later.. lol

  10. Now..I did use Ai to convert the recipe from ancient Chinese to modern equivalent..it is the best recipe..I have been curious and have thought to use apricots like the Chinese did and fig and date honey like they did in Mesopotamian and Egyptian times..
