OK, Empire State Manufacturing

Not exactly huge but worth making a note of:

“Business activity grew strongly in New York State in August, according to firms responding to the Empire State Manufacturing Survey. The headline general business conditions index rose five points to 20.6, its highest reading in more than four years. New orders and shipments posted solid gains. Unfilled orders increased notably, delivery times lengthened substantially, and inventories declined. Supply availability continued to worsen. Employment levels and the average workweek rose modestly. The pace of input price increases picked up, and selling price increases remained elevated but eased for a second consecutive month. Looking ahead, firms maintained an optimistic outlook for business activity.”

The next economic  notes include some housing numbers mid-morning. Then tomorrow Industrial Production from the Fed just after some trade dope.

Global Money Flow Notes:

Japan’s economy expanded at only a 1.1% annualized rate in the second quarter versus a 2.0% forecast, with consumption essentially flat and business investment falling.

Japanese 10-year bond yields nevertheless pushed toward a 30-year high as markets continued anticipating Bank of Japan tightening despite weaker GDP.

The dollar fell to its weakest level in more than two months as traders reduced the probability of a September Federal Reserve rate increase following weak U.S. retail sales and sentiment data. Fed-hike expectations receding.

Brent was nevertheless holding around $88–89 early Monday rather than breaking sharply higher.

3. Eastern Indonesia’s magnitude-7.7 earthquake is settling into a large aid-and-aftershock emergency. Death toll to 54 Monday and the region has endured roughly 1,600 aftershocks.

4. The U.S. wildfire picture has improved sharply but still 87 uncontained large fires and 29,548 personnel assigned.

Belgium’s largest wildfire on record received helpful rainfall Monday after burning roughly 3,000 hectares (7,314 aces – US numbers 7.2 million acres – so yeah GMAFB.)

At the Ranch: A Past Life Clicks In

Yeah – y’all are welcome to be skeptical and all.  But I have told you that during my personal past life regression work, I had already identified two:  The first (and it has been with me for years) was as a Japanese fighter pilot during WW II.  In that past, I was flying a Mitsubishi, had taken American anti-aircraft fire, and couldn’t move my left leg.  The plane, which was going into a spiral dive; down and left, erupted into flames from the engine compartment and that was followed by a gap.

The second was in the 1700s to 1800s, along the south coast of France. There, I was in the body of a young girl (prepuberty) and I had a brother.  The parents ran a roadhouse of some kind.  Two fireplaces, mainly a wood bermed, half-sunk-in the dirt rock place all very rustic.  Had a horrible set of “olfactories” with it.

I mean like dirty people, stale/burned food, musty dirt and fireplace residual, spilled wine and maybe something stronger (like a rum) and doors that were on leather hinges.  Quite the place.

I don’t remember how that one ended – the olfactory recall, though, was the real touch and connect point.  (I still get an odd feeling in my head if I focus too long on the smell.)

Last Night Another Possible Life Showed Up

The first novel I ever wrote was DreamOver.  And yes, some of the hero’s recall of non-local places was based on a series of dreams I was going through at the time in my vivid dreaming work.

Last night?  Wow. I had “one of those” overnight. I was a 10-12 YO boy and I had a young 8-9 YO sister – she was quite precocious and the parents (diplomats of some kind) took her everywhere – even work-related. And she was with them as we (all four) were on a several hours to half day road trip. And here’s the weird part: My parents were somehow involved in talks about the “future of Remagen (Remogen)” or some such.

So I asked the AIs about it this morning:  When the hell?

The name you brought out of the dream, “Remagen/Remogen,” almost certainly corresponds to Remagen, Germany, a small Rhine town south of Bonn and north of Koblenz. It is famous because of the Ludendorff railway bridge captured intact by the U.S. 9th Armored Division on March 7, 1945.

But your wording is what grabbed me:

“talks about the future of Remagen.”

Historically, people weren’t conducting major diplomatic negotiations about the future of the town of Remagen. They absolutely were conducting major diplomatic negotiations about the “future of the Rhineland.”

And Remagen sits right in the middle of the territory in question.

AI: “My first-choice date: 1919–1923”

This gets spooky-interesting purely as historical pattern matching.

After the November 1918 Armistice, American forces moved into the Rhineland. American forces reached the Rhine in December 1918, and on December 13 troops of the U.S. 2nd Division crossed the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen. The U.S. Third Army then occupied the central Rhineland, with its main headquarters at Koblenz, immediately south of Remagen. American occupation lasted until early 1923.

Meanwhile, at the Paris Peace Conference and afterward, one of the biggest arguments among France, Britain, the United States, Belgium and Germany was precisely what was to become of the Rhineland. France wanted a much stronger security arrangement—at its maximum, separation of the Rhineland from Germany—while Britain and the United States resisted that. The ultimate compromise included demilitarization and Allied occupation.

And this wasn’t just a 1919 argument. A serious historical study describes French diplomatic activity in 1923 concerning “the political future of the Rhineland.” Cambridge’s history of the post-Versailles settlement likewise identifies “the future of the Rhineland” as one of the major unresolved issues of the era.

So consider what a dream might do with language:

“future of the Rhineland” + a trip through/to Remagen ? “future of Remagen.”

That’s exactly the kind of compression/substitution dreams make.

And your other pieces fit that environment rather better than they fit March 1945: diplomatic parents, children accompanying them, a lengthy automobile journey, negotiations rather than combat. If I were trying to reconstruct the dream’s implied historical setting rather than claiming it represents an actual memory, I’d start around 1919–1923, probably 1921–23, in the Bonn–Remagen–Koblenz Rhine corridor.

There’s a second plausible period: 1949–1952…

But no, not really.

Domain Explorer Note

I’m not an old man (a mere 77) but I have slowly come to believe that each life we live is like sorting out a puzzle of higher self.

My studies, so far, have hinted that when a human dies, the soul takes anywhere from 2-3 up to 6-10 years to review, relive, try new skills, and kick around with other “old souls” before coming back to earth (reincarnation) for another round.

It’s this timing constraint that got me to toss out the post-WW II timing model.  Because I (present George-body) was around most of 1949.

To me, at least, the “larger self, multiple rides” stack up like this:

  • Present George – Born 1949.  Still going.
  • Japanese pilot – likely born early to mid 1920s – ending 1944-45.  Then taking the break between lives.
  • Young (quiet, almost withdrawn) boy — apparently involved through his diplomat parents in a conference concerning the future of Remagen/Rhineland, sometime around 1919–23. How soon that life ended afterward is unknown. But the Japanese Pilot needed to be along. Their ages ran from 16 to mid 30s, so around age 20 is the data bulge here.
  • [Others to be discovered]
  • Young girl, south coast of France, dates old but very uncertain. Leather hinges era of filthy stinking roadhouses doing soups in a cast iron kettle. Which would make any sane person load on rum and/or wine…

Now, is it real?  That I can’t tell you.  I have a pretty “busy head” and you may never really know.  But I will take a dubious pirate’s treasure map – over no map at all – any time.

The next time you go to sleep?  There’s all kinds of knowledge in there.

Data Around the Edge

One more?  I will keep this quick.  Saturday night I had a vivid dream.  All kinds of high adventure. More tracking and learning that (cheap TV) violence.  Just a bunch of foreign team guys versus Americans.  It was one of those interesting and entertaining as hell vivid dreams.

HOWEVER, as a news guy, I know a lot of people.  One of them sent me a low-probability email early Sunday.  I decided to call him back.  Here is (with all personal identifiers removed) what he said paraphrased.

“Here – let me give you my new number, not the flip phone. Now that I’m not a spook any more, I’m actually enjoying my screen-phone….”

Yeah – he was. And that, dear reader, is why I take dreams with absolute seriousness.

Can I navigate this kind of “foreshadowing” dream and the past-life topology?  No, not yet. But that’s the pick and shovel work mining the Dream Realms.  Until it’s time to go (and then around again).

Life is an apprenticeship. Learning is the job.  Clocks are running, and the future will fit.

Great article, The populace has been and will continue to be kept in the dark as to what/who we really are as far as the soul of our being and it is attached to a body or something for periods of time and the Aliens know this and have done things to alter those over the years. Unfortunately for me I am one whom cannot be hypnotized and so many of my life experiences which are many are somewhat locked away. I do have knowledge of some things that I won’t share on a open forum, But I do have a keen desire for mining if you get my meaning.

    Is the Ebola report yet another Ai dribble?

    It’s one of those things that appears true but it’s only genuine purpose is to frighten people.

    Ure’s article seems to suggest everyone gonna catch it and many will die a miserable death.

    If truth were told the item would repeatedly say “Ebola is hard to catch”.

    It’s all about life style.

    It’s spread by bodily fluid exchange. Some might say, it’s a sexually transmitted disease, even kissing.

    1 girl gets it and 5 other guys can. 1 guy can catch it and 5 other girls -or a another guy can.

    Even then it takes maybe a week afterwards when symptoms show is a person contagious. Ergo, a person can play around for awhile and still be relatively safe. Obviously, life style drives good sense.

    IOW, you can be in a room of ill people and not catch it.

    So let’s get facts out every time Ebola is mentioned. It’s hard to catch.

    • Well, Yes! (and no…) – So let me dig in a bit:
      Yes. There is strong, consistent scientific and epidemiological evidence that Ebola (including the Bundibugyo virus driving the current large outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo) spreads between people through direct contact with the body fluids of someone who is symptomatic or has died from the disease, or via objects contaminated with those fluids. It does not spread through the air like measles, influenza, or COVID-19.
      Established transmission routes
      According to the CDC, WHO, and multiple outbreak investigations:

      Direct contact of broken skin or mucous membranes (eyes, nose, mouth) with blood, vomit, feces, saliva, urine, sweat, semen, breast milk, or other body fluids from an infected symptomatic person or corpse.
      Contact with contaminated surfaces, bedding, clothing, needles, or medical equipment.
      Contact with infected animals (spillover events, often linked to fruit bats or bushmeat handling).

      People are not contagious before symptoms appear. Sexual transmission from semen of recovered men is possible for months afterward in some cases, but that is still body-fluid contact.
      Why “only body fluids” is supported

      Decades of outbreak epidemiology (including the massive 2014–2016 West Africa outbreak and prior DRC outbreaks) show transmission clusters tied to caregiving, household contact, funerals involving body washing, and healthcare settings with inadequate protection — not casual or airborne exposure.
      No documented sustained human-to-human airborne transmission has occurred despite extensive study.
      Experimental aerosol infection is possible in animals under artificial lab conditions, but real-world human outbreak data do not support it as a meaningful route.
      Control measures focused on contact precautions, isolation, safe burials, and PPE succeed without requiring airborne isolation for the general population.

      The current 2026 Bundibugyo outbreak in eastern DRC follows the same pattern. Rapid spread is attributed to challenges with contact tracing, community resistance, conflict zones, healthcare worker infections, and burial practices — not a change in the virus’s mode of transmission.
      In short: the scientific consensus, based on laboratory data, animal studies, and real-world outbreak investigations across multiple species of Ebola virus, is that human-to-human spread requires body-fluid contact (direct or via fomites). Airborne spread is not supported by the evidence.
      NBow having said all that, sweat and surface persistence is the one that scarwes the piss out ofs me. Because ite is summer and people sweat and no one wipes door handles and…

      Ebola viruses (including Bundibugyo, the cause of the current large 2026 outbreak in the DRC) can remain viable on surfaces for hours to several days, depending on the conditions, the fluid matrix, and the surface type. Specific data on Bundibugyo surface persistence is limited; most experimental work used Zaire ebolavirus (especially the 2014–2016 Makona variant), and health authorities treat the environmental stability of orthoebolaviruses as broadly similar.
      Key experimental findings

      Dry/non-porous surfaces (stainless steel, plastic, Tyvek):
      Under tropical conditions (~27°C / 80% humidity typical of outbreak areas), viable virus is often reduced substantially within 1–3 days. Under cooler, lower-humidity hospital-like conditions (~21°C / 40% humidity), survival is longer — viable virus has been recovered for several days, with models showing multi-log reductions over roughly 1–2 weeks in some cases.
      Dried blood: Often the most persistent clinically relevant matrix. Viable virus detected up to ~5 days in drying blood under both tropical and hospital conditions in key studies; some data indicate survival up to ~16 days in dried organic material on non-porous surfaces.

Real-world environmental sampling during outbreaks has typically found viral RNA mainly on visibly soiled surfaces near patients; properly applied hospital-grade disinfectants (e.g., 0.5% sodium hypochlorite / chlorine solutions recommended by WHO/CDC) rapidly inactivate the virus.
      There is no public evidence that the 2026 Bundibugyo variant has substantially different surface stability from previously studied ebolaviruses. Standard infection-prevention guidance (thorough cleaning/disinfection of contaminated surfaces and objects, PPE, and safe handling of waste and bodies) continues to apply.
      Which is why I keep repeating: One jet ride from disaster – because the data seems to support that. Leaving only the questions of how many passengers, how many connections before… [fill in an outcome]

      • So, Ebola can be transmitted by counter-tops, chairs, dining tables, shoes, keypads, steering wheels, gasoline nozzles, doorknobs, door surfaces, toilet seats, and lavatory handles? Does mildly chlorinated water like in public swimming pools kill it ? How about credit card readers and cards ? Home delivery guys and boxes? Can sorting and conveying equipment spread it ? Delivery packages and mail ?

          the social worker that assisted us in finding homeless and people that had no where else to go..they offered us an insane amount of money..I called everyone G2 and I visited and someone that worked with one the guy at the who and the guy that discovered it..you cannot contain it at home..started with one man and NC and now is in every state….

    The chronology of the events regarding you being the son of a pair of diplomats led me to think two things. Either you died at a young age in order to be born in Japan and become the pilot who you remember being, or the diplomat family you described was maybe a hundred years before and not around 1914. As a member of the Boomer generation, like many of us here are, in order to be killed during World War 2, we had to have been born in the early 1920’s. If, however, you were born in the US during the early 1920’s, then you were a kid who lived during the Great Depression. As a result, you might have food issues, like eating too fast or eating too much, since you remember when food was very scarce during that time. It has been decades since I have come to grips with that problem and understand it. And, it did not help that issue when I only had a half hour for lunch during retail jobs in the 1970’s.

    • Sorry I didn’t get into more of the “color” of the dream, but it was definitely situated in Europe, not the U.S. And, back here in Waking, this “conference” thing ws not a great distance away, but it was not done on a train and I don’te remember draft animals – and the scenery (semi mountainous but softer than Matterhorn faces, lol) was really amazing, but a good mix of deciduous trees..not all conifers.

  12. To understand the relation of the theory of recurrence to Ouspensky’s so called “new model” let us imagine a specific geometrical form in its relation to our life. We start with the line making up the life of a man. One point, birth, begins in the year 1900 while the line ends with the death of the subject in, say, 1970. The entire figure of the complete life of the man constitutes a four dimensional form. Now, let us curve the line into an angle of 360 degrees. Here, the end of the line connects to the beginning. Death ends in birth. A man is born in 1900, lives his life, dies in 1970, and is reborn again in 1900 encountering the exact circumstances of his previous existence. Consciousness limited to the three dimensional phenomenal form does not recognize an endlessness to the loop of existence, but only the static moment. A man understands his birth but never comprehends what could come “before” nor, with any real knowledge, does he understand what awaits “after” death even though, depending upon his life circumstances, there exist numerous “religious” expositions regarding the supposed afterlife which he might embrace with varying degrees of confidence.

    Embracing the fixity of recurrence would seemingly negate any possibility of real change or evolution in the state of an individual man, for if one is destined to relive one’s life over in all aspects can anyone hope to escape the hand he or she is dealt? This is an open question but one Ouspensky attempts to address with the doctrine of possibilities. That is, at every moment in time various possibilities of action present themselves, at least potentially. As we move through time a set course unfolds consisting in the actualization of certain possibilities. Certainly, as long as we remain unconscious to the several possibilities inherent within each moment we are unwittingly carried along within our particular time. If alternate life circumstances are possible they can only occur after the attainment of a level of consciousness which allows an individual to recognize the potential for change inherent within each moment of one’s life. For Ouspensky, a man tied to a particular line has absolutely no possibility of determining his condition, however it is the purpose of the esoteric idea to show a way out of our current unproductive cycle of recurrence.

    • It is a damn shame Ouspensky wasn’t born a century later. His books would have been far more accessible because mathematical thinking has moved so much since then. Rereading Tertium Organum for the fourth time doesn’t do much for me now—it feels a bit like learning pre-revolutionary math just as the new tools arrived.
      Sets, unions, intersections, the vesica piscis as a clean Boolean operation, the whole notion of many-worlds (Everett 1957), topologies, infinity, and domain complexity have all evolved dramatically since his death in 1947. Wheeler’s later work (black holes named in 1967, “it from bit” in the 1980s–90s) gave us a far more expressive language for the very questions Ouspensky was wrestling with. He was reaching for structures that the mathematics of his day simply couldn’t yet hold cleanly.

    • The notion of recurrence brings to mind some chapters from hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg’s book “Past Lives, Future Lives”.

      In addition to past lives, some people also described lives not yet lived. Interestingly, they would sometimes, in different sessions, describe the same life, but with different outcomes, some better than others. One case in particular had a “keep trying until you get it right” feel to it. The subject got it right when he formed a lasting relationship with the right person.

      If recurrence is a thing, there might eventually be a stopping point, depending on which path you choose in that incarnation. Some past life regressions, though, indicate working on the same goal across unrelated lifetimes. Take your pick, I guess – or maybe you can repeat one lifetime several times before moving on to the next.

    THIS is why I buy old books, especially cyclopedias and text/reference books. The printed word can’t be altered without someone noticing. That’s not to say Amazon intends a wholesale rewriting or sanitizing of books (which they are doing for individual books [that’re] deemed too politically incorrect. Sam Clemens is rolling in his grave.) It IS saying that they will have the ability to do so, and have already proven their proclivity toward so-doing…

    • The real question is why they would scan and destroy the books? They could scan and resell – they sell books already. They could donate them. They could keep them in a vault for knowledge futureproofing.

      The only rational thought is that they want to control the future by rewriting the past.

      • A judge said that if the owner can keep either the printed copy or digital copy, not both. To legally make digital copy from their sourced book they must destroy the original. They have no right to copy it and resell the original.

        • Not true. The owner would have to have a license to distribute digital copies, but can keep both or sell the original.

          Anyone who owns a piece of media has the right to make an archival copy and keep both.

          Now, to sell a digital book, one must either have been granted the right to do so by the copyright owner or their publisher (unless the copyright has expired), or their heirs, if the author died and the copyright is still in-force. If the copyright has expired, there’s no limitation on what any publisher can do.

          I would like to see a citation of the court case, if one actually exists (which I doubt.) I guarantee the judge made an erroneous ruling and Amazon could get it tossed on appeal.

Fancy rich people only pudding….ever want to feel like your …RICH… the wife and I went to a really nice restaurant.. for our anniversary… they made us sit for a few hours until we finally left..we weren’t worthy enough to dine there.. one of my coworkers worked for the owners kid..his restaurant only lasted a couple years..anyway..
    here’s the fancy desert recipe…I love strawberry … you pick yours..

    1 box Instant pudding mix (any flavor)
    3 tbsp Knox unflavored gelatin (critical for firmness)( you can use 4)
    1 cup Cold water (for blooming gelatin)
    1 cup Milk or water (to hydrate pudding mix)(milk)
    1–2 cups Fruit pieces (berries, grapes, kiwi, mango, etc.)( stack the fruit in the center of your two piece mold)
    1 tsp Vegetable oil (to grease mold)

    Bloom the gelatin Sprinkle 3 tbsp Knox gelatin over 1 cup cold water or milk. Let sit 5–10 minutes until thick and jelly-like…

    Heat gently Warm the bloomed gelatin over medium-low heat until fully dissolved. Do NOT boil.

    Mix pudding base In a separate bowl, whisk 1 box pudding mix with 1 cup milk or water until smooth…..

    Slowly pour the hot gelatin into the pudding mixture while whisking. This creates a thick, pourable gummy pudding base..( as a side note..if all you can find is vanilla or chocolate..but want strawberry.. add strawberry flavoring.. like the syrup for coffee… another thing is the Jello cheese cake..)

    Grease the inside of your two-piece tubular mold with a thin coat of vegetable oil. Clamp the mold together with rubber bands….

    then stack the fruit..run a bamboo skewer then get a child’s school ruler..it has a hole in the center..place the skewer in the center use the ruler to hold the fruit in the center..

    Pour the pudding-gelatin mixture slowly into the mold, covering the fruit completely…. remove and slice..and like in fancy restaurants they swirl gravy around it..do the same with whipped frosting or whipped cream..I also have a recipe for oranges where you hollow out the orange combine it with whipped cream that you’ve dumped pudding in ..then devil the orange skin and put a sprig of mint..put in a soft boiled egg cup …

    now a funny story.. I was invited to the Jefferson awards one year..big fancy everyone calling their hankeys pocket squares and nooses around their necks they call ties..( definitely out of my league and price range) held at the county club..an expensive meal.. out comes the food.. a piece of meat ( that would fit comfortably on a cracker) three green beans and a baby potato laid out to resemble a bird..gravy swirled around the edge..it tasted good but I had to hut burger king afterwards…
    years later at the hospital the CEO took about ten of us to that country club..we were sitting in a circle..the waitress was pouring the water and a couple of the workers asked hey have you ever eaten here..yes it was good but you’ll probably have to hit burger king afterwards the portions are absolutely skimpy and over priced…
    the waitress had over heard my comment..she gets everyone’s order then asks me for my order I ordered a chicken parmesan alfredo..she then asks would you like whole portion or a half portion.. definitely whole…the meals came out..each getting theirmeal..then she wheels out a big bowl similar to my bread bowl..flops that big bowl with enough to feed our small town in it..I laughed and said ..you know your making me look bad ….lol lol lol

  24. I read your descriptions of colorful detailed dreams with some awe and perhaps envy. I can track my sleep and know I have REM, but I cannot remember a thing most of the time. If I ever do, it’s a scrap with no detail at all, like remembering that I saw some screens with writing on them, but nothing memorable at all. I’ve tried remembering dreams and writing them down, but there was nothing to write down, and no detail, not color, characters, or anything else. Then again, I cannot picture anything in my mind when awake either.

  26. Chicken lunchmeat..

    2 lbs ground chicken (or finely processed chicken breast)( prone pound chicken breast one pound boneless chicken thighs I actually prefer thigh added)
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    2 tbsp ice water
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but recommended)
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp sugar (or maple syrup)
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp white pepper
    1 tbsp your choice bbq sauce
    1 egg
    1/4 cup powdered milk (optional for smoother texture)
    1 tsp paprika (optional for color)
    If you like the pink bologna look additional color by putting in a spoon full of brat juice
    Place ground chicken in a bowl. If using whole chicken breast, pulse in a food processor until smooth and paste like…. (similar to chicken nuggets or chicken patties you can add a third of a cup powdered milk as an added binder..or a could slices of bread this isn’t in the recipe just something I picked up on years ago..)

    Mix in cornstarch and ice water. Stir until the mixture becomes sticky — this is what gives deli style firmness….
    Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, sugar, or maple syrup,garlic powder, white pepper, egg, and powdered milk. Mix thoroughly until uniform….it will resemble paste..

    Line a loaf pan or two piece luncheon mold with parchment. Press the mixture in firmly to remove air pockets….. like canning remove the air pockets..if you choose to use parchment cut two pieces long enough th fold on the bottom and sided the with of your ham mold.. now if you like a little texture you can chop one piece of the chicken in various size chunks to add to the micture..the same with beef..

    Cover with foil and bake at 325°F (163°C) for 60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F….

    Once your loaf is fully cooked and chilled, you can give it a beautiful smoked finish. Slice the chilled loaf into halves or leave it whole, then place it in a cold Tote smoker or a low?heat smoker running at 140–160°F. Use a mild wood like apple, cherry, or maple so the smoke complements the chicken instead of overpowering it…. coat it with melted butter or olive oil the smoke adheres to the butter the same way you do for cheese… Let it absorb smoke for 45 – 90 minutes, just until the surface turns golden and picks up that sweet, gentle aroma. Because the loaf is already cooked, you’re not smoking to finish it — you’re smoking to perfume it. After smoking, chill it again to firm the texture before slicing. This gives you that deli?style smoothness with a whisper of smoke that makes every slice taste like something you crafted with intention.

        I’m retort canning canned corn right now..100 minutes at 15pds..I decided to use my set it forget it canner..love that thing..you can use an instapot to..love that thing to..best roast you can eat..
        way back.. I couldn’t afford lunchmeat..so I learned how to make it..back then I only had a tomato juice can the top and bottom and a rock.
        Take the top lid you removed (the one with the pull?tab or clean cut), flatten the edges, wrap it in parchment, and place it on top of the meat.
        ..put the bologna meat in then put the top in and a rich to keep it compacted to use..
        Put the whole setup in the fridge for 12–24 hours.(overnight)
        This does three things, Protein tightening — the meat binds into a smooth loaf
        Moisture redistribution — gives you that deli texture
        Shape setting — the loaf becomes firm and sliceable
        This step is critical.

        Place the can upright in a water bath and bake at 300 F for 1–1.5 hours internal temp at 165..you can also remove the loaf wraps it in parchment …cool in drugs then slice..they use to make large canned hams..I have made those to using the can as a form and the top and bottoms removed..

        today I have lunch meat molds.. Labor day telethon was the one day I would make ring bologna.. hot dogs and sausages..
        this year I’m trying to get the kids interested in learning how..as prices keep climbing at some point it will become necessary to learn how….

        now I love turkey loaf a spam type meal..they use to sell the dinners at Wal-Mart but have quit during covid..

        2 lbs ground turkey
        1 cup jarred turkey gravy
        2 tbsp cornstarch
        2 tbsp ice water
        2 tbsp powdered milk
        1 tbsp salt
        1 tsp sugar
        1/2 tsp white pepper
        1/2 tsp garlic powder
        1/2 tsp onion powder
        1 tsp (optional) unflavored gelatin for extra bounce

        Combine cornstarch and ice water to make a slurry. If using gelatin, dissolve it into the turkey gravy…

        In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, turkey gravy, powdered milk, salt, sugar, white pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder..

        Press the mixture tightly into a loaf pan or homemade can?press mold, eliminating air pockets…( now you can use empty spam cans as the mold…)

        Cook in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F…..

        Cool completely, then refrigerate 8–12 hours to firm the loaf for slicing….
        now if you want these as shelf stable retort can them at 100 minutes.
