Earthbound Marvels

Merry Christmas and happy Chanukah! There wasn’t going to be a column today, but the urge to write was running strong so here we are…

We will pass on most (but not all) of the daily news flow.  Plus we still have the rest of the week to get through…

And, above all, we are keeping an eye on “named days” because Earthquakes, just to name one class of news event, have a way of getting “holiday names” pinned to them, Good Friday in 1964 and the Boxing Day quake, if you don’t remember Banda Aceh.

Today?  What I hope passes muster of science-based speculation into the recent flurry of activity in the skies.  Which is kind of appropriate, given the date.  Things in the sky have a way of “leading wise men”.

Oh, the website winner is announced, too.

  1. Dear Humans-

    NOT Drones .

They are SHIPS . And you cant touch this..

Bigger is better and up next for the zombies/skeptics.

They are “Friendlies” – here for a major assist in breaking out of and breaking down the prison farm, so youse all can Choose..

    • “They are “Friendlies” – here for a major assist in breaking out of and breaking down the prison farm”

That explains why they’re afraid to fly, without following the FCC regs concerning navigational lights…

  2. Had an unusual dream a few days ago.

Walked out of the house, walked across the yard to the fence and the once street was flowing with water.

I heard there had been a great earthquake in the USA.

The ground had shifted causing the river to take the lower path along the street.

  3. Merry Christmas George, Elaine and your readers.

Good choice of Mike for the new website. I am sure we will learn a lot from him and happy to support him any way we can.

    Incredible times !!!!!!

  4. Merry Christmas to all your Ure’s and to all the commenters that make this a go-to column throughout the day!
And Happy Holiday of your choice, and
    Happy New Year!

  5. Merry Christmas to all! And if you want to dispose of the coal in your stocking, send it to me and I’ll put it to good use!

  6. Believe it or not an alien invasion is set for tomorrow. Be ready.

“There wasn’t going to be a column today…”

Recall a few years back the video of Katy Perry malfunctioning on stage probably do to exhaustion and Big Pharma but many folks said she was possessed by demons. We need a webcam on G. “He said he wouldn’t write but there he’s headed to the keyboard… must be possessed”.

    • “Believe it or not an alien invasion is set for tomorrow. Be ready.” My calander says tomorrow is December 26th. not April 1st.

  7. re: Earth
    feat: an outside story

    Folks,

There’s more than a glimmer of hope that the path to the future is in good hands. “The War Between the Land and the Sea” should be materializing sometime in 2025 on Disney+ and BBC1. It’s a spinoff of the ‘Whoinverse’.

As the 11th Doctor prescribed in ‘The Big Bang’: “We’re all just stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”

    Merry Christmas!

    • Folks,

Christmas is a lovely opportunity for family photos celebrating peace and love. He did not disappoint. President Zelensky has posted a Christmas photo op with his First Lady promoting her foundation. A recent foundation report on its website celebrates a 2024 investment in a bacteriological laboratory upgrade to a childrens hospital in the Ukraine made possible by a named donor. That donor is a multi billionaire peer in the UK House of Lords who is apparently untroubled by UK tax payments due to declaring humble abode in the haven of Belize.

Although the charity opened its doors in 2022, I’m empty handed trying to find a full financial statement. There is a first quarter 2024 list showing just over the equivalent of us$3.8 million being awarded to projects, but no mention of income streams. However a “Wikipedia” image from the organization’s introduction at The Met in New York reflected Mrs. Clinton being seated at the right hand of the Ukrainian First Lady. Hopefully this can serve to counter any concerns.

  8. Regarding the Vegas video..,
    .
Before you block-up the entrance to your cave., hoping to survive the alien bombardment, I suggest you take a look at: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 – Halo / ‘Pelican’. Look familiar ?
    .
.., and why, after eight days, there is not one other video of such a unique craft loitering over one of the busiest cities in the country ? No one else happen to have a cell phone handy ?
    .
Sorry., this is not an escapee from Area 51.
    A.I. assist CGI.

    • I’ve flown into LAS many times in daylight hours. The stream of air traffic in/out of the airport is constant. In the video I saw contrails high above, but no sign of any local air traffic. Then the craft flew over the strip.

Not sure of the angle of the camera shot. Maybe the shot was taken from North Las Vegas where the Air Force base is.

If not, then I’d agree AI and CGI.

  9. Almost time to start dinner.
The PN “drone” footage looks more like a full size attack aircraft. When it is hovering close to the camera (I am assuming camera is on a roof or upper floor observation deck), I can make out what looks like a glassed cockpit in the side view.
The camera work is excellent (maybe too good). No CGI or AI anomalies jump out, but there is no heat or thrust visible. At about 20 seconds, I think I hear “It’s loud”.
There are pods under stubby wings which is where I would expect engines/drives to go. The aft/tail configuration is odd; if one was trying to put components with shielding issues back there, that would match.
Test crews fly out of Vegas to desert locations. Maybe the cloak went offline. Good find G_____.

  10. Congratulations to Mike!! I look forward to what he has to say. He sounds like an excellent choice. I love that Elaine made the difficult choice. It shows how well you guys work together and balance each other out. You guys have a special relationship.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all got at least one incredibly cool gift this year.

  11. Remember folks.., math doesn’t lie – people lie about the math.
In the early 70’s MIT scientist issued a dire warning – Civilization would collapse in 2000 due to over population and over production from limited resources and subsequently resource depletion. Massive die-off of humans. In 1998 they revised their prediction based on many “beginning” errors and new, unanticipated technology. Civilization would collapse in 2020. In late 2020 another revision., and then just last month, yet another revision.
We now have until 2040.., but they got to thinking bout it and did a second study and changed the parameters.., then a third study., as the second study showed very little change., but the third study proved far more interesting.
By placing A.I. in charge of every country., from production, resources and pollution the population declined to the point of total collapse. As the population started to decline, less and less production occurred.., less and less food was produced., leading to more and more people dying., leading to even less production., to the point of total collapse., and world wide die-off. What’s the loss of three, or four billion humans amongst computer programs., eh ?
No matter the scenario that MIT used., we as a planet species are destined to die-off.
.., or, they could just revise the predictive model “again” and give us undeserving over-eaters, another forty to fifty years.
    .
I can’t remember who said it., but; “Everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face.” [ Tyson? ]

    • he probably was right on with the 2000 date..
a few years ago we entered a time where the earth has expanded urban development to the point that it no longer can adequately support the population..
with Ukraine and a few other regions having their cropland destroyed by wars ..things could get real interesting ..

  12. As A.I. and CGI continue to improve and develop, it will no longer be possible to be sure ANYTHING you see or hear is true.

At some point, even if you see it “live” with your own eyes only.

Personally, I think we’re there now.

    • We are not.

Within 2-3 years we will be.

At that time, it will be impossible to tell whether it’s real or Memorex. No one will be able to trust a science lecture, political speech, or anything in-between, unless they are in attendance and close enough to see the speaker’s lips move.

I suggest people decide in 2025, the candidates for whom they’re casting votes in 2028. The period in time when the low-information voter could slough off and pay zero attention to politics until the final two weeks before an election is over forever, barring an EMP reset or the Second Coming…

  13. Merry Christmas to all! I’ve learned so much from you (George and readers) and just wanted to say thank you. Incoming new year the weirdness will continue. Many blessings.

  14. Merry Christmas to the both if you.. give Elaine a big hug …
congratulations on Mike’s new soon to be website..
we had an interesting thing the other night.. big bright light in the sky.. I looked at it through the scope there were some flashing lights on it..it was there a couple of hours..now was it one of those high flying stealth balloons..and why did they light it up..
no air national guard checking it out and where it was located in the sky was in the same area that they test the high flyers..
    nothing on the local news..

    now an interesting article ..

    https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/demand-at-food-banks-has-soared-to-record-levels-all-over-the-united-states/

something keeps telling me that because of the horrific damage this administration has accomplished with their stupidity by pushing for global destruction and the lack of having any kind of adequate group of legislators willing to deal with the obvious.. that once they get in they will do the obvious fix… since income ratios are not adequate to pay the interest..dump the FIAT currencies…go bankrupt on the debt owned start fresh..focus on the needs of the USA screw the puppeteers that want world domination by our warring ways wants and our stupidity to rush in to steal it for them..
(“How Will the US Reset the System?
Nobody knows for sure. But I’d bet a debt jubilee of biblical proportions will be a major part of it. So then, how will the US government repudiate its impossible federal debt burden?”)
just an excerpt from an article.. the interest is unsustainable right now… Biden made sure of that… Zimbabwe did better than what iur administration has done..endless wars ..tossing money out the window…
i questioned Ai …what would the affect of going bankrupt on the deficit and restarting the country from square one..
(“If the U.S. were to “go bankrupt” due to its national deficit (e.g., default on its debt or inability to manage its fiscal responsibilities), the global impact would be significant, given the central role of the U.S. in the world economy. Here are the potential consequences:

    ### **1. Financial Market Turmoil**
    – **Dollar Devaluation:** The U.S. dollar serves as the world’s reserve currency. A default could erode trust in the dollar, causing its value to plummet.
    – **Stock Market Crash:** U.S. financial markets are key to global investments. A U.S. financial crisis would likely lead to a massive selloff in global markets.

    ### **2. Rising Global Interest Rates**
    – Investors would demand higher interest rates on U.S. Treasury bonds to compensate for perceived risks, which could ripple globally, increasing borrowing costs for countries and companies.

    ### **3. Banking System Instability**
    – Banks worldwide hold U.S. government bonds as part of their reserves. A default could destabilize the banking sector, particularly in countries heavily invested in U.S. debt.

    ### **4. Trade Disruptions**
    – The U.S. is a major trading partner for many countries. A financial collapse could reduce American demand for imports, hurting global exporters.

    ### **5. Geopolitical Shifts**
    – A weakened U.S. might lead to reduced global influence, prompting other powers (e.g., China, EU) to fill the void.
    – Trust in the U.S. financial system would decline, potentially encouraging alternatives to the U.S.-led economic order.

    ### **6. Recession or Depression**
    – Given the interconnectedness of the global economy, a U.S. financial crisis could lead to a global recession or depression, with widespread unemployment and economic contraction.

    ### **7. Impact on Developing Economies**
    – Developing countries reliant on U.S. aid, investments, or trade would face severe economic hardships.

While a full-scale “bankruptcy” of the U.S. is unlikely due to mechanisms like the Federal Reserve’s ability to print money, even the *threat* of a U.S. default (e.g., during debt ceiling debates) has historically caused market volatility.:)

we would become Greece, Argentina, Zimbabwe and the Weimar all in one several times more volatile…
but thinking about that..could that have been the plan all along.. No one in congress hives a hoot.. no one stuck around to deal with it ..no one seems to care at all.. .make the change draw back all our military and our position of global leader..like the last depression..people went to bed wealthy and woke up poor…total restructure…

  15. days coming of the forty million dollar loaf of bread…
they would have to dump the federal reserve.. go with a secure currency .. without the ability to print freely.. now .. what if the puppeteers.. ( they would have the greatest loss of everyone..)
considering that..since the puppeteers seem to have the vast majority of cash or acquired numbers… what if they just gave the usa the numbers to forgive the deficit intact..then keep the federal reserve as our financial institution.. curious what kind of effect would that have..they don’t have any problems throwing billions of dollars at legislators to keep us dancing to their tunes..and a total reset would be a huge negative for their agendas.. so what if..they seen what damage the usa that for over two hundred years has been involved with nonstop wars to get them the things they desire but are not willing to negotiate for..

(“If any wealthy entity were to pay off the U.S. national debt, the economic and geopolitical implications would be significant. Here’s an outline of potential scenarios:
    Economic Implications
Immediate Debt Relief:The U.S. government would no longer need to pay interest on its debt, freeing up trillions of dollars for other uses like infrastructure, healthcare, or education.
The dollar’s value might stabilize or strengthen due to improved investor confidence.
    Dependency Risks:
If the debt was paid with strings attached, it could lead to significant influence over U.S. policy decisions, raising concerns about sovereignty.
Such an act could spark debates about accountability and fairness, as it might create public perception of favoritism or control. ,,(” seriously they own our legislators already”)
    Market Reactions:
Global markets could react unpredictably. Some might see it as a positive, while others might fear manipulation or destabilization.
Bond markets, heavily reliant on U.S. Treasury securities, might experience shocks as the supply of these bonds decreases.
    Geopolitical Implications
    Shift in Power Dynamics:
The entity paying the debt might gain enormous influence over U.S. domestic and foreign policies. (” there again we are the ones being pushed by them now into things that they want.. would they keep our citizens dancing to their tunes.. “)
Rival nations could view this as a strategic move and might respond with countermeasures.
(” such a move could possibly stop the progress of the movement of the Bric’s “)
    International Relations:
Allies and adversaries alike might question the motivations behind the act and the long-term implications for global power structures.
    Social and Political Reactions
    Public Perception:
Some might celebrate the relief from debt, while others might criticize the government for allowing external entities to intervene in national matters.
Discussions around wealth inequality and the role of private entities in public governance would likely intensify.
    Legislative and Ethical Challenges:
Laws might be proposed to prevent similar interventions in the future to protect national interests.
While such a scenario is unlikely, it would raise complex questions about sovereignty, fairness, and the balance of power between private wealth and public governance.”)
interesting thought.. I doubt the puppeteers would do any of that..hell they don’t want to negotiate for what they desire now.. the thought of them paying off our deficit that was acquired by endless wars they desired would not be palatable to their greed..buy could possibly stop the free fall of the fiat currencies..reestablish faith in the system and they maintain their position.. undermine the Bric’s push to take over the top of the economic pile..

  16. “I can’t remember who said it., but; “Everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face.” [ Tyson? ]”

Yessir — That was Iron Mike.

All predictive algos have three fatal issues.

The first is lack of data.
The second is the bias of the programmer.
The third is the bias of the user.

Any one of the three renders the algo unreliable. Any two make it worthless. All three make it a boondoggle into which politicians may be induced to pour billions of dollars, until they find someone who’s a good enough liar they can act as a spokesman to convince the masses that the theory behind the boondoggle is solid science. At this point it becomes a part of the budget…

Oh, by the way, a complete dataset is an impossibility…

  17. (“I attended medical school in darkest Brooklyn for three years and left when I realized that the practice of medicine was far less free (for the practitioner) than I’d ever imagined. Perhaps I’d seen too much. To quote a professor: “Medicine is a jealous master”. “)

I absolutely loved that comment..It brought out costs that are seldom considered and has bugged me for years…
is the business model… a confusing dual bite….
the citizens of the USA pays in a couple trillion for health insurances..the government gives out grants of about a hundred billion a year for research on new medicines.. that they say the citizens have to pay tens of thousands a percent more than anyone else globally..
the physician with huge school debt..they have to rent clinic space hire staff , pay for equipment leasing or being owned and wages etc.( depending on whobthey lease space from and conditions etc.).
they cannot afford to take patients that cannot afford the costs, ( depending on where you are there are federal wage li.its something i discovered with one of the gentlemen that stayed in our spare room..he got a bill from a private physician.. the services rendered were covered by the federal government..the price they paidvthe physician was at 3.00 an hour for their service where the average charge was over a hundred dollars an hour.. the specialist I went to in the city charged avthousandca minute..)
so a patient coming in without a substantial amount to pay for services is denied services and sent to the local hospitals ER where the charges are substantially higher..they still don’t have that money..so the hospitals go through the agonizing process of getting it..they in turn cannot operate independently so they charge the physician more for his clinic space.. dual standards since the physician has expenses that need to be met..
one friend a physician graduated from Stanford nice guy sharp as a tack..to get rid of his school loans went to work at a federal hospital (va medical system) they in turn forgives his loans in exchange for his services..
private physicians are put in the same position of the people paying fir insurance rates that shows huge profits by refusing to pay claims ..
both the patient and the medical professional gets hit exactly the same way..
oh forty or so years ago.. a local hospital decided to destroy the biggest clinic in our stste..since most of the insurance here is from those two hospital systems.. they decided that all the physicians in that clinic were out of the list of acceptable physicians… these guys were smart though..
they had an emergency operating room and a very nice clinic.
the doctors there had made a great decision well screw the two hospitals..they decided to create their own system.. family coverage cheaper than anywhere you then become a member with an extremely low copay …. the effect would upset the system both of the hospitals have.. the hospital had a huge meeting with the employees where we were told because of what they were doing the only security they had was to buy the doctors that owned the clinic out and put all the physicians renting clinic space in their acceptable physician circuit..
it’s a dual standard business model..the patient gets nailed and so does the doctor..
whole huge profits are being seen from all sectors..
my wife’s ex boss had to sell all of his facilities.. he wasn’t even taking in enough money to keep the doors open..
why it takes so long is the variable income of funds.. similar to me delivering newspapers..it took six months before I realized I was paying the paper to deliver the papers lol lol..

  18. Yes, remember, we are electrical beings.
I saw in my coma, that when a cell dies, it emits a last gasp of light.

A year or so after my coma, science revealed photographing conception, and how a spark of light was emitted at that exact time.

    God is light.
    God is love.
    God is frequency.
    God is creation.
