      its funny this morning i recieved the winning powerball jackpot numbers in meditation. which is a 1 Billion dollars Jackpot win. i wrote them down.

      then i was asked, you can have this and all that comes with it or you can have the other life i have for you. chose wisely.

      so i thought about it for a while. then burned the paper with Winning powerball numbers and said THY WILL BE DONE. right then and there i decided, I wont ever buy another lotto ticket from this day forward. because i could win and that could fuck everything up.

          The original Fort Lauderdale site lies beneath American suburbia a block or two east of Sailboat Bend and Major William Lauderdale Park beside the New River. Tennessee Militia’s Major Lauderdale faced off against Chief Abiaka at the Battle of Pine Island Ridge in 1838 during the Second Seminole War.   3. Years ago I had an idea for job/business – it was much needed in this area.
    In Seattle a company is building heavy-duty aluminum landing craft – their two largest models also have a small Captain’s Cabin. A twin engine set-up could be installed..,
    What I pictured was one of this engines could be reconfigured to operate a high pressure water cannon. The craft already have a self-tending system to maintain position.., with that stay-put system engaged you could snuggle right up to the shore line and help fight wild fires.., plus drop-off hand crews and rescue stranded home owners.., fuel / food deliveries.., etc.., etc.
    It could easily be serviced out / contracted to the local fire department and Forest Service.
    Sounded like a great ‘job’.
    Never did it.

    Iran is taking a much more aggressive military stance and has just informed the world that there will be no deal with Trump until possibly, maybe 2028.., or so.

    Trump maneuvered himself into a dark political corner., and did not come out fighting. He is now screwed unless he goes full military scorched-earth. Which he won’t do.

        The first thing Trump did was get rid of all the red tape and green adjenda bullshit holding back US companies from Drilling in the US.

        The second step Trump did was meet with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. So he gets the heads up long before the closing of the strait of hormuz.

        The third step Trump did was take over the Oil Reserves in Venezuela by removing its sitting president.

        The 4th Step Trump took was using an attack on Israel as an excuse to go to war with Iran.

        Everything in the modern world uses oil. From the plastics on your cell phone, the paint on your car, the tractor that tills the land to produce the food you eat.

        He who controls the Oil? Controls the banks, the rate of inflation, housing prices, food production, prices of everything from a cup of coffee to the price of a 5 acre plot of land.

        I’m beginning to think, because “Iran doesn’t deal,” Mr. Trump’s ego is driving his action and he’s going to make a deal of some kind, simply because of the challenge. What he doesn’t seem to grasp is he MUST kill every last Iranian Shi’a, or eventually, they will nuke his progeny off the planet. They are driven by an ideology for which they will die without blinking an eye. They will kill their wives, children, parents, and themselves, with absolutely no regard for the human lives they’re taking. You can destroy everything they have, render them completely impotent in the modern world, and they’ll still keep coming. They are like Aahnold’s character in the original Terminator. As long as they can walk, crawl, or drag themselves, they will keep trying to kill us and destroy Israel. We found out a few days ago they have centrifuges up & running in a place we cannot yet touch (just as I said they would) and they’re back, trying to crank out bomb-grade radioactive materials. We won’t know they’ve joined the club until Trump Tower and the White House are smoldering holes in the ground. Only Trump can prevent this eventual outcome. I hope he comes to that realization and gives the Persians some damn’ guns — soon…

          People talk about these massive military decisions — “had to be done,” “all the way” — like they’re describing a weekend home?improvement project instead of a region being turned into a cautionary tale. It’s wild. It’s the geopolitical version of a poison?pawn trap: except instead of losing a bishop, you lose a decade, a fortune, and whatever moral high ground you thought you had.

          And then you get the comparisons that make the whole thing feel even darker — like Gaza, where the situation ends up looking like shooting fish in a fish bowl and calling it strategy. The innocent get crushed while the commentary tries to frame it as noble, necessary, or inevitable. It’s hard not to notice how often the “official narrative” sounds like someone trying to convince themselves the plan made sense.

          It always starts with that confident tone…..
          “We’ve got this. Quick operation. Clean. Necessary in and out.”
          And then the aftermath looks like someone flipped the chessboard, set the table on fire, and declared victory….

          The darkest part is the timing — why now?
          Why this moment?
          Why this escalation?
          The explanations always orbit the same gravitational well.. oil, power, leverage, optics…. Meanwhile the people paying for it — financially, morally, emotionally — are nowhere near the decision making table but expected to pay for it in money and physically..

          I’ll share my honest opinion, like most people, I don’t have a crystal clear view of the true reasons behind all of it…. But from the outside, everything leading up to it — and everything happening now — It feels senseless, avoidable, and completely out of step with the religious and ethical teachings that leaders claim to stand on….

    Waiting on Volume Two – hopefully I will be left alone and have a quiet & slow couple of days to read it without interruptions.

    They have managed to hold the ‘Little Giant Fire’ at 25 Miles Creek Campground – so far – but the heavy smoke is starting to take its toll. Over the past two days 26 people have been admitted to the local hospital.
    There is a friggin’ army – fire is now over 124,000 acres – and growing. Unfortunately, we have a front moving in – we could get some light rain out of it – but also some lightening strikes.., and high winds. Late Thursday thru Saturday.

    We’ll see….

      • Wanna hear a funny… I was really tired one day years ago.. ( now we drink coffee here at the old homestead on the veranda.. I like a darker roast..my favorite bean is Jamaican blue.. the Hawaiian kona..but price sends me towards Ethiopian ) anyway..I bought no doze.. ( basically a cup of coffee in a tablet… took it and fell asleep…lol lol lol.. we measure coffee consumption n pots not cups..we have cut back though..instead of a three pound can a week its now a three pound can every two of the regular foldiers.. ( Costco and Sams has great company brand coffee seen a video once tat said they have their own plantations.. not sure if its true. but hey their coffee is tasty)
        wanna get the old ticker thumping get rolling thunder tea.. ( gave me a bloody nose back in the seventies..they have reduced the caffeine level now to about half of that in a cup of coffee lol..)

    I didn’t go storm-chasing in North-Central Indiana last night — went to SC instead.

    It rained in EC Indiana… A LOT! The local EMAs are calling it a “100 year storm” and damage/flooding predictions are in the category of “catastrophic.” Roads are washed away, flooding is epic. In New Castle, where that chick I dated in college was from, they have standing water in the streets, from 18″ to 48″ deep (probably more, by now.) Decatur (US-224), Muncie (Indiana SR-32), Richmond (US-40 and I-70.) Rushville, Shelbyville, Connersville, Liberty (and the counties they’re in) — all closed, shutting down damn’ near every road south of US-33 and north of Cincinnati which leads from Indiana to Ohio. IN, OH, KY are slated to get catastrophic rains for the next six days, and I’m looking at a 150 mile detour, unless I want to bop over to Bloomington and visit a REAL football coach, while I wait…

  10. I get it though..I wasn’t sure until I went on vacation..then seen it first hand…
    I was visiting with a gent over lasagna.. and he had no idea..The problem with those wage statistics is they don’t “break down the pie” — they take the entire pie, throw it in a blender, hit purée, and then proudly announce, “Look! Everyone gets an equal slice!”
    Meanwhile,I reflect on my daughters best friends dad..we were having an adult beverage while the girls were swimming he had been downsized who was offended because he was only offered half a million a year…while I was over next to him imaking three dollars an hour, wondering if my paycheck was printed on a fortune cookie slip…. technically we were both in the same employment category..

    But according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, we were basically twins — just “average Americans” contributing to that beautiful $37.62/hour number.

    It’s basically statistical cosplay….

    They take the wages of the CEOs, surgeons, software engineers, hedge fund analysts, utility executives, and the guy sweeping a warehouse….…dump them all into one big pot, stir twice, and declare,
    “See…..Everyone’s doing great!”

    It’s like saying the average American owns half a yacht because Jeff Bezos owns several and you own none…..Technically the figures are true…. In reality they are compiled by someone Practically insane….or pumped up on some psychedelic drugs..Young guns scene…

    Unlike the “scary words of the past few years” (like “bomb cyclone”), derecho is an actual part of the meteorologist’s vernacular. It’s rare, but it’s there.

    Technically speaking, a derecho is a sustained straight-line wind which maintains a wind speed of 50kts (or more) over land, over a distance of at least 250 statute miles. I predict “derecho” will begin to show up within two years or less, and will be bastardized into meaninglessness by the lamestream media and a few “evangelical meteorologists” who’re trying to ferret out a way to make a few extra bucks…

      Honestly, “derecho” is just meteorology’s version of the secret nursing note jargon. Every profession has its own polite code words — nurses write “pleasantly confused,” mechanics say “your flux capacitor is unhappy,” Or you need to change the blinker fluid…lol lol…IT techs say “have you tried turning it off,” I get a chuckle out of that one.. a sibling made his fortune in the Silo’s by selling and maintaining them lol lol he was laughing and sniffling in humor about some of the absolute stupid shit government employees do..like a friend living north of Richmond that can’t find anyone around those parts willing to work at all lol lol lol..I did ask him if I should send my grandkids down to never neverbland..anyway one story they sent him almost totally around the globe to go deep in the equipment..to say look this is what you need to do..this part says “OFF… and this position it says ON.. ” flipped the switch and flew back……and when meteorologists say the term “derecho,” which is Latin for “buckle up shits going to fly”, grab your your patio furniture before you have to chase it to the park.”

      I’ll give it a few months and they’ll be calling a mild breeze a “derecho like event,” complete with dramatic graphics and a reporter clinging to a stop sign in 12?mph winds. I totally loved the Anderson Cooper scene where he was talking about the torrential storms effect water flowing waist deep while a kid was riding his bike behind him squatting in a puddle lol lol lol lol

      The term is similar to nursing notes used politely saying “patient is very vocal about needs” when the patient is actually screaming like a banshee disruptive and compatible lol lol..the hidden terms used by staff that are really just so staff knows what they are getting into for a long night..
      While Meteorologists might say “derecho.”
      Nurses say “frequent redirection required.”
      We were just talking about this last night on someone we both know sent to the ER….and my taking a gent to the VA..they do walk ins not emergency..the doctor comes out says it you need to call him an ambulane..I said no..I only had to get him here “S.T.P.” remember the rule ( stabilize and transport patient) let the man making the money make the million dollar decisions..so if you don’t want to do your job..then grab your pickup we will toss him in the back and we can drive him over or..you can call an ambulance.. he did his job..good choice….Frequent redirection “things are about to get interesting.”
      The only problem with the VA healthcare system is its operated as a government office..similar to the gent trying to find anyone willing to work in the Richmond area filled with government workers..rather than it being ran like a medical facility..

      Every field has its secret code words —But don’t worry… nowvthat they know it they’ll use it and butcher it soon enough in almost every news story of a breeze.

      • “Patient screaming like a banshee” has a treatment now, I learned from my nurse when I had gut surgery. Woman admitted in the next room was vocally unhappy about everything and combative. After several hours everything was quiet. I asked the nurse if she got moved. Nope. Turns out Fentanyl has a use besides pain relief. In microdoses it ‘soothes the savage beast’ and improves outlook and rationality.

        I experienced a derecho in Wisconsin before it had a name, I think. They just described straight line winds exceeding 200mph where the wind gauge blew away.

        And I got to teach my TV meteorologist a new (to him) word that he actually used on-air! “Pyrocumulus”…. that tall cloud that forms above a volcanic eruption!

        • Phew I’ve seen aides sent to the ER several times..pain medications don’t have the same effect during times of severe pain..surgeries etc.. sundowners.. had one that was such a hard transfer..hard hard six person transfer at night .then during the day a little gal weighed eighty pounds soaking wet transferring him… got one now..great guy..was Dean of a college smart edjumicated wrote books one I own and love about the history of the wastelands…. has sundowners.. trying to wash his clothes in the toilet one night.. had one years ago..the nurse said..I want his vitals..no he’s asleep..you wake him you watch him..lol lol she woke him up..moaned like Mary in the Christmas carol tried to use her keg as a urinal lol lol….. until the drop and flop law… Haldol IM..(haloperidol)… now that the USA passed the drop and flop law.. you just deal with it and stop worrying …no longer do you worry and no more me and my shadows toting them down tge hall with you lol lol..they have the right to throw themselves on the floor rip out Cathy’s ( got some stories on that that will cuddle your hair on the back of your neck)
          one of my favorite was a label writer by trade..lol lol lol he would crawl into other women’s bed and read lables..a real chall..one night he jumped in a woman’s bed..from 100 feet of hallway I heard the crack nd him flying out of the room landing on his back..I walked down to see if he was hurt and said..hmm crawled the wrong woman’s bed didn’t you..he was ok…. got one now they will give a football helmet to..protect the nogen..always protect the nogen..

        • Side rails trapeezes.. all the good stuff.. when we had someone in the wandering stage here..the social worker wanted us to put in wander guards..we couldn’t afford something like tat so we got air tags so if someone wandered away we could track tgem..gave one to one of my clients that I did homecare for..had a head injury..sawed the windows out if his new car with a circular saw and drove away in the middle if the night..his poor wife is freaking out crying..they live in one of those neighborhoods.. now they cant even afford the taxes on their big beautiful home..she discovered average wages won’t pay rent in a nice apartment..reality sucks at times..doesn’t know what to do..

  12. George, your FLL Economics piece is a masterpiece! The ‘hidden’ piece of life we are all looking (and working) for! Kudos. Speaking from experience, buying a modest home for retirement cash, with no mortgage to service, is the most liberating experience of a lifetime! My quality of life (and time) has actually increased from when I was still working my tail off in the big city for three times the income I now have. Talk about feeling economic freedom…just when it’s needed at retirement.

    We have a tropical storm brewing just a couple days offshore and coming this way. Gonna be a wet & wild (not quite hurricane) weekend. Wish I could fling some up Washington State way.

    With China now threatening to cut off exports of drones, I pulled the trigger on a DJI mini Pro5. Several youTube producers I follow use that model for airborne photography and it looks very good, and stable. So guess who is now studying part 107 to get the pilot’s license? My previous flight certificate expired a half-century ago!
