      Ure assumption is that any of our “leaders” are normal in any sense of the word. They aren’t. You and several hundred million others allow partisan gang lawyers to control the candidate slate on ballots. You get to vote on whomever they think they have under their thumbs.
      So far Trump’s policies in his second term have been working. If he can avoid doing the dirty work of religious wackos, gangsters, socialists and monarchists his predecessors served, he will serve out his term. I am personally more worried about Trump’s kink for public pats on the head by foreign devils than I am about his girlfriends.

  2. I see Ure NASDQ chart and moving avgs. – hard to drill down into fine details, as eyes a lil blurry. Running my own TA and looks like the 50 day moving average is now major Resistance line.
    I would expect the Avg to keep on testing that Line, and failing..one of these attempts at breaching the 50 DMA will be a tradable failure point. At least this is what alter ego (C. Bandicoot) is playing right now. Have put on several new shorts positions past week. including long dated Puts on CME, as I expect troubles ahead for that institution, when Force Majeure is Declared in PM delivery Month (Mar)..
    Also dont expect many of the high flying (stock valuations) to maintain their illusions much longer, and positioned myself accordingly.
    Thankfully – all new Put positions are Profitable as of writing time, with rocketlabs taking the upside down cake..so far.

    The Lindbergh baby was kidnapping totolly disgusted the entire American Society, yep even those who were of a anarchist mindset. As a result, unlike in Europe and South America where Kidnappings of rich people, and trying to assassinate them on the street, were a constant fact in life throughout the 20th century (and into the 21st century) in the US those dynamics totally disappeared from our everyday life after that kidnapping.

    One of the reasons the world’s Rich and Famous have second residences in NYC, LA, and Miami is because those people can come to the US and walk the streets, go to restaurants, let their kids go out on their own do do stuff during their visists, and generally be unmolested not needing security unlike in their home country because American Society has made attacking such people in public Verboten!

    A number of years ago I was out shopping with my two sons on a Saturday and we stopped in a local Wendy’s to eat lunch … and who walks in but Warren Buffet and his long time girlfriend (they didn’t marry until his wife who he had been separated from for 25+ years finally died). NO SECURITY at all. Just the two of them drove their own car over to Wendy’s and walked in to be like every other customer, ordering at the counter, carring their own food to the table, and sitting down to eat. NO SECURITY ANYWHERE! I doubt you would find that happening anywhere else in the world (Warren was probably in town because of a Board Meeting of one of the bigger companies that his holding company owns which was just down the street).

    One of my old client’s #3 corporate exec, not even the top dog, everytime they went to Mexico City where their Mexican Subsidiary was based had to have full time security. Secured floor in the hotel, 4 to 6 armed bodyguards at all times even when in his hotel suite. When he moved around the Mexico City it was in a convoy of 3 armored up vehicles, the one in front with 4 armed men, the one in back with another 4 men, and his armored car with 2 up in the front seat – most with machine guns! Italy and France were the same deal for him, though then it was only one extra armored up car besides his armored up limo.

    From outside appearances sadly it appears that over time Corporate Executives and the Rich and Famous while in the US have felt the need for more and more security, which wasn’t needed in times past. Old JD Rockefeller even in his older age during the depths of the Depression virtually NEVER had any security around him, and everybody knew what he looked like! In fact he used to ride the NY Subway all the time when in the city, even in his older age, since it was cheaper than a cab! (and his kids NEVER had any security around them when they would go into the city … I seem to recall that from the age of 11 on they were allowed to go down to train station and go into NYC on their own to do whatever they wanted to do for the day … though they did have to carry a nickle, which an estate seamstress would sew into their clothes, so as be able to use a pay phone to call the Rockefeller Office in Rockefeller Center if they had any problems.

    The recent killing of the Health Co CEO may well have broken that 90 year run of “Safety” from targeted violence upon the rich and famous in the US (except for crazies – yep crazy people always exist and do crazy stuff which they had to be on the lookout for) but time will tell us if that is the case, I for one hope not.
