Food Gozo, Food

Things move slow—and then fast—in modelspace.

When we told you several years back that it was time to build on-site food production—even something like a sun porch container garden—you probably laughed your ass off thinking, “My, that old man Ure in the woods of East Texas has really lost it!”

Then, when we began using teamed AIs to run studies of word frequency analysis and temporal directivity, again: “Yep, he’s still nuts!”

And again—when he wrote just last week in Jobs, Hardware, Future Ballistics, Yardening about how much growable food area is wasted because it’s devoted to lawns: “No doubt, the man is crazy!”

Well, now we seem to be seeing the media picking up on a vulnerability we’ve had years to prepare for.

The Drudge Report today headlines “Food Shortage Next?”

And that links to a Wall Street Journal story: Hormuz Gridlock Risks Global Food Crisis, International Chamber of Commerce Chief Says – WSJ.

And—my, oh my—we must be crazier than you feared. Because the “confluence” we’ve been monitoring with our Over-the-Horizon software scans of thousands of sources has been pointing toward winter convergence for how long?

This headline adds another piece to that picture. The timing still has to fully reveal itself.

Complexity is ‘drifty’ until it locks. That explains our fascination with long wave economics, the 1929 replay dynamics, and the spread and positioning of nuclear first-use talk.

For now? Patience, Gozo.  Food.  Water, Seeds, Energy (or insulation), reduce debt – reduce profile.

As we tell our kids—they don’t listen, either—it’s better to live two years in the future than arrive ten minutes late.

So, what’s it like living in yesterday?

  1. The problem with posting an article from “alleged news sites” is most are behind paywalls. And yes, you have been telling us for years, hell, your website name says it. Thank you George.
