Breaking: BTC
Bitcoin dropped to the vicinity of $66,600 overnight – a drop of more than $2,000 at one point. Bitcoin drops to two-week low as $300 million in longs are liquidated has a summary.
Traction vs. Terror
Earlier features today had the markets trying to stabilize after a terrible drop again Thursday.
By itself, this is disappointing for people with life savings in the care of others. Because, as we warned, when the 200 day moving average is penetrated, a lot of investment policy guidelines in big funds have to flip out of stocks into something else.
I know: what pray-tell might be out there?
For the past couple of years, I have been deeply drawn to food, water, analog radio gear, and local medical supplies and physical condition as the “right moves.” We will get into this in the “At the Ranch” part of the column, but this is the Big Ponder in the weekend ahead.
For starters today, let’s set up the game board and have a look.
Look Over Your Shoulder
I’ve spent a great fraction of my life “looking at indicators” and come to an interesting conclusion. Some people “see indicators” and feel safe ignoring them. While others look and know they will die if they’re ignored.
Soft indicators are the every day stuff: emotions like vengeance, threats, bluster, hate, greed – the whole pile of human folly. Objectively real but not usually fatal, at least in the short-term.
But then there are “killer indicators.” When I’m working on a 2-thousand watt linear amplifier, if I don’t believe my John Fluke meters, I really could die. Same thing while flying all over the country, single engine, single pilot: Lose the discipline of the artificial horizon, airspeed, VSI and compass? Bad things can happen – the kind were you can “do your own burial.”
Here’s the pause on the way to the Ponder for the weekend: Why is there such a spread between people’s reactions to data sets like the ones above? You see, that sets up the “chart problem.” What is this telling us?

This perception gap – and trying to understand the sloped sides of “emergent concern” is a grand area for lifetime study.
Still, it’s not just finance on the brink of replaying earlier disaster timeframes. We see it in the replay of their 1920s Teapot Dome in the Epstein debacle. And the Lindbergh Kidnapping case of ’32 in the Guthrie kidnapping which we said at the time “look for it to go long on the timeline.” And sure enough, Ex-FBI Agent Reveals Why Savannah Guthrie’s Interview Will Leave Her Mother’s Abductors ‘Terrified’.
While we wait for this socioeconomic cycle’s Bruno Hauptman to be nabbed, the Dust Bowl is forming in the emerging Drought map which is spreading quickly. Good news on this front is part of the South is in for a drenching next week – so pencil in flood coverage for your news addiction, say second week of April?
I’m pretty sure our inability to see patters is based on natural selection – how we all “see” differently because of variance in regional predation in antiquity. Still, the predators are afoot. Only now, some of the clever ones are in office.
A Side of War
You want internal or foreign with your hashbrowns?
Internally, Senate votes to fund much of DHS, minus immigration. While this is the (radical left crazies) responding to (pissed, vote ’em out) public pressure from the air travel nightmare, the failure to secure the Border is just what America’s enemies want.
See, here’s the thing: With the Iran War hot, what would be a logical (low-cost, effective) counterstrike? Uh-huh. Strike at the belly of the beast. And here are the traitors to borders getting their way. Sound like we have an opinion? Yep.
The filth of politics continues: Senate approves funding for TSA but not ICE and Donald Trump says he will fund back pay. There’s something seriously FUBAR when political hacks across the spectrum can hold vital services hostage. Ah, but that’s just us.
Trump, Waffles and…Where’s the Syrup?
Second on our war and more bore is a drill down into the Middle East war.
A good starting point is this overview: Iran Update Special Report, March 26, 2026 | ISW.
But the TACO label (Trump Always Chickens Out) gets applied by critics on Trump extending his “deadline.” Which dovetails into Oil prices up: Trump signals Strait of Hormuz easing tensions. Not that this will cure gasoline prices in Asia, or fears of fertilizer costs and shortages, but any port in a glass, eh?
The Instrument Scan
Here’s today’s preview of the next 12-hours of flight time into known terrain:
One of the side impacts of the Iran War may be more nuclear power: Makes a lot of sense: Southeast Asia turns to nuclear as Iran war disrupts energy supplies.
Another impact? US considers sending 10,000 more troops to Middle East. But, that may take the focus off Ukraine.
How big can an ego get? Another metric to ponder. Trump’s signature to appear on US currency in a first for sitting president.
No time for the casino? Here’s an interesting prospect instead: The SpaceX IPO and the Elon Musk Factor.
And a personal health note of interest if you have psoriasis. This skin problem is linked to serious heart diseases. Which we note with some interest because back in the 1960s there were ads for a consumer product that promised to deal with “The heartbreak of psoriasis…” Is this how the global mass consciousness materializes the future based on intent or repeated thought? If you’re young, you may not remember the Tegrin ads. But a reality research note worth remembering, around here.
At the Ranch: The “Noah Problem”
The Ure’s made a decision to “spread the wealth around” a bit this week. Diversifying into another bank. Besides the Big National and the Trading and Checking and whatever else.
It was a logical outcome from study of “The Noah Problem.”
And in the same kind of Tegrin vein, the Ark ponder dates back to the original Bill Cosby skit which runs about 3-minutes if you’re not familiar with it. Before the trials and jail, and all that.
The Noah Problem I’ve been facing in the final half of my life has been “What should I be building?”
A Global Coastal Event means we should be back on a sailboat. Stiks is enjoying northern Australian waters (and land) on his. And there are times I miss “the boat” like crazy.
Drought says I should be working on water capture and most calories per gallon in local food growing around here. Makes perfect sense.
An EMP attack says no, put in more solar panels and protect them all with transient voltage diodes so they will survive. In the world after EMP power will be money. Along with comms.
Solar flare worriers argue that an underground home will be the best possible protection. Dig it in deep enough and it also solves the heating and cooling problems because underground homes (depending on area) will be comfortably 50-65 year round. Friends of ours with an underground home enjoyed a crackling fire in July heat in their bunker-qualified home.
But not so fast! You won’t want to be in an underground home if the New Madrid lights off and we get a 9+ earthquake in the US. You’d have built your own coffin.
And thus, the Big Ponder. One of the cross-platform solutions to times ahead? Building your own serious library. And you have to look at it in terms of what LOOB mentioned in our Comment section today when he wrote:
“Civilizations don’t collapse because of one big event. They fade when the center stops holding — when the habits that kept knowledge alive get replaced by noise and speed. Maybe that’s why our overlooked books matter more than we think. Someone has to keep the lights on in the library, even if the world forgets it’s there.”
But even in massive multi-terabyte data collections the Noah Problem strikes:
Boat building books, or ag books, or electrical systems, or water catchment, or…
It doesn’t keep me up nights, but it sure fills up the days.
Write when you get rich – or hear from Noah,

U.S. Military raises age limit to 42 and lowers standards…
What does that tell you?
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/war/us-military-raises-age-of-enlistment/
Hmm…this isn’t the first time the U.S. has had to stretch its recruitment pool.
This action is pointing us in a similar position of past wars in an attempt to increase military prior to us marching in… During World War II, the country didn’t raise enlistment ages it simply drafted almost every eligible man between 18 and 45. Then during the Korean war…Standards dipped, but the system was already built to pull in whoever was needed. My father was pulled back in even though he had just gotten out of the military..During the Vietnam war there was a lowering of mental and educational standards under programs like Project 100,000 to meet manpower demands…and relied heavily on the draft because of the populations disapproval of the war.
So..from that article and past wars my opinion is also a movie scene….

It tells me not to listen to Armstrong.
All branches of the U.S. Military have already met enlistment requirements for calendar year 2026.
Enlistment age has been 46 forever. Bruce Willis attempted to enlist after 9/11. He had just turned 47, and was therefore declared ineligible. A cursory search would turn up the press release on this, since it was a thing at the time.

Fair enough, and to you I apologize. It doesn’t change my opinion of Armstrong, however.
I see you figured out how to use a search engine… ;-)
Ray,
Believe me, I have my doubts about Armstrong too, he isn’t my hero or anything.
Still waiting for his prediction that Europe would cancel the physical Euro currency, as early as October 2025, January 2026 at the latest.
He’s a mixed bag.
He’s a mixed bag.
I know, and honestly, I ride him because there are some who worship his every word. Understand, I am a seeker of truth and accurate information. I don’t care from where it comes or to what it relates. Martin Armstrong purveys his opinion as truth. Like everyone else, sometimes it is, and sometimes it’s not. I simply can’t stand the sales job…

In WW2 they drafted up to 45 yo. If you were unmarried not supporting a family and didn’t have a critical War Related job and were 44 and 11 months old when the draft too affect on March 1 1942 … OFF TO WAR YOU GO!!
My dad who was unmarried, not supporting a family, and was NOT working in a critical War Related job missed being drafted for his second World War by 1 week. He turned 45 less than a week the March 1 point in time. Born a week later and he would have AGAIN been going through Basic Training … but probably not having to again learn to work with horses and mules (a required skill for WW1)!

A Fistful of Dollars – Get Three Coffins Ready (1964 HD)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-KrsO91mfBw&pp=ygUiRklTVCBmdWxsIG9mIGRvbGxhcnMgZ2V0IDMgY29mZmlucw%3D%3D
The government bunkers.. I believe they will be fancy coffins..when I was in the military.. we received a wonderful areal view of DC. and Area..we wanted to print a nice big picture picture frame it and hang it on the wall.. the brass said NO that photo is confidential, the argument we had was the area we worked in was a confidential area and had a few checkpoints to get access… BUT… if we got one from somewhere else then we could..
One of the lead Petty officers wrote to the Russian embassy asking if they had an areal photo of DC. and area..he received a 30/40 print of DC. and area that had crap listed that no one even knew existed.. the print was framed and hung on the wall..
So in remembering this my thought is they know where all the strategic entrances and exits are to these..We didn’t build to continue on we built to shelter only a few..where other countries built to continue on..
now the other countries built shelters ghost cities ghost factories for a large percentage of their population..so in the event that some event took down their grid or destroyed their factories..it would be a simple task to re start civilization ..
Now for my fifty plus year rant…I think that It’s amazing how vulnerable our electrical grid really is once you step back and look at how it’s built.
We’ve centralized everything into a handful of massive hubs because it’s efficient for profit and easy to manage on paper but that same centralization is exactly what makes the whole system extremely fragile. One bad failure, one overloaded station, one cyber issue, and huge regions go dark.
It doesn’t have to be this way though. If we treated homes and neighborhoods as nodes instead of passive customers with mini?grids designed to keep the nodes operating such as, rooftop solar, local storage, and small?scale distribution towers then a hard grid?down event wouldn’t take the whole country with it. Power would reroute, neighborhoods could island themselves, and national security would actually improve instead of depending on a few giant choke points.
China as an example..They have spent years building out mini?grid operation centers designed to keep running even during catastrophic events. Their model treats neighborhoods and districts as semi?independent power islands that can disconnect, reroute, and keep functioning when the main grid goes down.
Nature figured this out a long time ago…. resilient systems are decentralized. Our grid could be the same but we are focused on the ME.. MY gain My profit. Instead we are one big tree with a weak trunk, we could have a forest of smaller, self?supporting roots. The technology exists its cheaper than what they are presently doing that provides less power… it’s the mindset that needs to catch up. its Making our national security fragile ..
s really It’s hard to imagine that in these big think tanks that they are unable to notice how much of our national vulnerability comes from chasing profit in places that never had real problems to begin with.
Whike we kept squeezing neighborhoods for “more, more, more” to fatten ledgers for the big?buck billies at the top, and in the process of seeking the desired amore for me business model we actually hollowed out the very systems that keep our country strong.
By outsourcing industry, centralizing control, and treating infrastructure like a revenue stream instead of a lifeline, we weakened our own national security. When we designed a system where everything depends on a few giant hubs for power, and outsourced our manufacturing, supply chains…
It places us in the position where one disruption becomes everyone’s problem.
Where If we’d invested in decentralized systems, local production, and resilient mini?grids, the country wouldn’t be one bad day away from a blackout or a shortage. Where if instead we kept our manufacturing and educational system instead of allowing our industrial cities rot..took the pride of our country and dumbed down our children we actually weakened our countries resilience… all for a simple number on a sheet of paper for those that live in areas where the needs of the nation simply don’t exist in their world..
Greed didn’t just widen wallets. It narrowed our safety net….I know more rantings from an unseen located fool in the wastelands..oh but hey I didn’t bring up my rant on air wells feeding the aquifers in the arid regions lol…
Hope not. That’d mean the 800 million MREs FEMA stockpiled in case of a New Madrid quake would be buried in their underground storage…
Yes.. maybe three meals or less per person..my guess is that those at The top of the list would be the benefactors…. where other countries built to protect the core population we built to protect only a few..then if all the academic multi million dollar studies if any of these researchers has any credibility the vast majority of people will be simply dead.. what was it total estimated survivors would be what as many as a small to medium size city.. Stu’s interpretation ..JC just posted it..massive famine..
what I thought..is after the cataclysmic event..they would do a similar thing as Russia did with the usa and China did with Cuba.. when ventilators weren’t available..here let us send you so.e as good neighbors.. then since the prepared to protect the core of their citizens and we didnt..allow nature and sickness do away..then show up as the good guys lending a helping hand..then seal off the entrances and exits to the bunkers for the elite.. the surviving population would be grateful for the help to rebuild..during covid Cuba asked for help..we turned away..while China did exactly that..here let us help..
A lot more than 3 meals. It is for New Madrid basin ONLY, so middle of Tenn and KY, Western Ind and all of Ill, up to US-40 or maybe US-30, then bits of Misery, Arkansas, Okie-dokey, and Mississississippi…
(“A lot more than 3 meals. “)
it totally depends on how many survivors there are.. if the researchers that wrote all the academic studies for congress have any intelligence at all..there’s only going to be a few million that survive..and those will more than likely be homeless that are already living the nomadic life..or if anyone is left alive that knows where they have them stored..kind of like the communications bunker next to a professor friend of mines place..it was decommissioned a couple years ago..fully stocked..big enough to house a small city.. we were looking at it the razor wire etc..I said heck..your set you just have to figure out how to get in the dam thing.. He said they sold it all for about a million dollars..he tried to get the local community to buy it..
or like the seed vault in the arctic circle..nice but totally worthless.. if the scholars have any intelligence at all..we are all screwed..
“if the researchers that wrote all the academic studies for congress have any intelligence at all..there’s only going to be a few million that survive”
I shouldn’t be surprised. There are only a few million people who live within the “devastation zone.” New Madrid rattled dishes in Boston, but it didn’t destroy Vincennes, or even St. Louis. If’fn you live in Memphis or Little Rock or maybe Tulsa, life is gonna suck. In Nashville, Paducah, or Carbondale, it’ll break windows and might hasten the demise of a few questionably-constructed buildings, but it’s not going to kill more than a few who’re in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Remember, the composition and strata of both the New Madrid Basin and the Eastern U.S. are radically different than the North American piece of the Ring of Fire. We extensively study earthquakes from Alaska to Baja. In the middle of the continent — not so much.
Boy its been longer..twenty years ago well maybe twenty three years ago..they were working in an emergency response p ok an for our community a FEMA worker and social worker was working with our communities mayor..when the mayor asked ..would it be ok if you showed them .. sure as I was showing what I had prepared for..the social worker said..dam I only gave a fraction of what you have..the FEMA guy said do you realize what you have here… yes I do..I asked tgem..well did you actually look at your own recommendations..
Then I said..I starved one brutal winter..had to walk many miles just to make pennies..if you’ve ever had to beat grain that you gathered off the ground, scrape fat off road kill to make a few pennies you would be the same way to… its exactly why the LDS push for the congregation to have preparations.. what only 6% have but then they grew up during a time of plenty.. good pay good times and easy credit….then I helped write our communities action plan..you can’t do it by yourself.. its a village reaction..some fish some hunt some sew etc. similar to Greece the people still have their special talents..

In 2012, I published a 5-volume series “Memories of a Coastal Event”. Each novella tells the story of a small group of North American survivors of an event that included, a 300-foot sea level rise, massive volcanic activity that covers a huge part of the country with volcanic ash, and a week of hurricane force winds.
The triggers that started this writing project were posts from Cliff and George. I hope that all the elements of this story remain fiction.
The Global coastal Event will be the pole shift reorienting the north pole. You guys really need to read the Ethical Skeptic and his ECDO theory – the crust will violently reorient prolly 90% of everyone will die unless you are at a particular altitude …….

You know, when I think about Noah, I don’t picture a solemn old man with a blueprint and a halo. I picture a guy out on the high plains, hammering away on a giant boat miles from the nearest puddle, while the whole neighborhood walks by snickering.
“Hey Noah, how’s the boat coming? Looks like rain… ha ha!”
I can practically hear the bakery gossip — “Did you see what that crazy old man is building now?”

Interesting recipe.
Mine is:
1 finely sliced onion, two if small. Not chopped. Sauté until caramelized in a medium sizes pot with butter and corn oil, or cooking oil, olive if you have no other option left. 1/4 teaspoon sugar, optional to help caramelization. Do this first and set aside.
In a separate saucepan heat up to boil and then simmer 1 teaspoon better than bouillon mixed with 1 1/4 cup of tap water, or a can of Campbells beef broth, mixed according to instructions.
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme from the spice rack.
1/4 teaspoon unfashionable, un kosher, iodized salt.
Pinch of ground pepper.
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
Then prepare: Preferably, four or five 1 inch baguette slices, covered in Swiss cheese, or croutons completely covered in Swiss cheese and broiled for four minutes mid rack.
While broiling bread:
Pour broth into onion rings and cook and stir for one or two minutes over heat, to pick up the flavour of the of the onion and oils from the saucepan, and pour into a soup bowl or two or three, depending.
Then remove broiled bread from the oven and place on top of the soup.
Then eat.

Nostradamus Quatrain V-25
The Arab Prince Mars [of war], Sun [Christianity], Venus [Islam], Leo [July 20th – August 20th],
The rule of the Church will succumb by sea:
Diverted the Persians (Iranians) well near a million men,
Byzantium (Istanbul, Turkey), Egypt. the true Serpent invades.
Nostradamus and The Third Age of Mars, The Prophecies of World War III, G. A. Stewart, 2019, Page 796
According to Nostradamus, Israel is not going to be saved by some miraculous, heavenly intervention. Israel’s greatest cities will be devastated by war, and its citizens will flee Israel for what remains of Europe. Historically, the British army evacuation of Dunkirk may pale in comparison.
I believe that if we translate Quatrain V-25, as “diverted the Persians (Iranians) well near a million men”, Nostradamus hints that the Iranian army will be “diverted” from its original intention of defeating NATO and the 41-Nation Sunni Alliance. They will see the conquest of Jerusalem as the new goal.
This is also found in Islamic Hadith. “From Khurasan (Northern, Iran)… a man named Shuayb, the son of Salih, from Tamim… will defeat the companions of The Sufyani… he comes to the House of Jerusalem where he will establish his power for the Mahdi…”

Iran turned away Chinese ships from the Straits of Hormuz – Brent Sea crude went over $111 a barrel [ up 3.5% ] in response. That could be a very bad move on Iran’s part., as China was backing and supplying them.

re: “Measure for Measure”, Isabella, Shakespeare, 1604
feat: “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, 1975
Shakespeare’s audiences of 1604 apparently found full measure of mirth at the offering of a decapitated head as stand-in for a doppelgänger. It seems Isabella’s ‘open silences’ in the play meant an affirmative ‘yes’ answer in the culture of the time.
One of the curious coincidences of today is that a Wikipedia editor bearing a Russian pseudonym translating as “Justin” amended the ‘aragonite (CaCO3)’ page three times. The mineral is namesake of a hazardous waste disposal site in Utah (“those that are higher up”?).
Byzantine Emperor Justin I ruled from 518 to 527 ad during a period of churches being in conflict. His consort Empress Euphemia from Constantinople and born into difficult circumstances took her name from the virgin 4th century martyred saint. Relics of the latter are understood to remain secure within a Russian-constructed vessel situated at Instanbul’s Patriarchal Church of St. George.
Wall grafitti, sprayed opposite the published 2025 Milan crime address Via Iglesias 33 in a 2023 Google capture, appears to translate in ChatGPT as “Wave of James/Jacob”. Apparently Jacob of the The Bible’s Old Testament was grandson to Abraham and Patriarch of the Twelve Tribes.
Digital tourists can inquire of short term apartment rental stays at the building address noted above. Separately according “People” magazine picking up Italian msm reports, the 2025 modelling profession decedent was on the telephone with her second estranged boyfriend when her first estranged boyfriend broke in and allegedly stabbed her fatally. According to Google’s Gemini, the decedent’s name is not particularly common, and may perhaps translate in a Latin-derived fashion as “noble birth” or “twins”.
The property is situated in the mid-20th century Gallaratese expansion belt of Milan which had previously been agricultural land. Gallerata is one its bordering roads which leads to the pre-Roman conquest town then known as Galaratum founded in 200bc. It is believed derived from the proper name Galerius. By coincidence, Roman Emperor Galerius who died in 311 ad was in power when Saint Euphemia was martyred in about 303 ad.
The Milan street name Via Iglesias may take its name from the town of Iglesias on the island of Sardinia which was governed by the Kingdom of Aragon/Spain for almost four centuries. The town had been known as Villa Ecclesiae (lat: “Church House”) from 1258. The invading Iberians renamed it Iglesias (sp:”churches”) after 1327.
King Ferdinand II of Aragon was the secondary financier of the 1492 Christopher Columbus New World voyage. His wife Queen Isabella I of Castile provided primary financing. As an aside, their youngest daughter Catherine of Aragon became the first wife of England’s King Henry VIII.
Charles Lindbergh landed at Madrid Field near the capital of Colombia in January, 1928 during his Goodwill Tour according to the AFSA (American Foreign Service Association) website. His earlier first tour leg had taken him from Washington to Mexico City where he met the youngest daughter of the U.S. Ambassador, Miss Anne Morrow. The pair married in 1929.
Following the tragic death of their son, they took respite at the end of 1935 at Long Barn, Kent, alleged birthplace of William Caxton who brought the printing press to England in 1476. The property belonged to English diplomat Harold Nicolson and his wife Vita Sackville-West, a daughter of the 3rd Baron Sackville and his cousin Victoria brought up in a Parisian convent. One year plus a day following first arrival of the Lindbergh guests, Mrs. Sackville-West published “Pepita”, a biography about her Gypsy Spanish flamenco dancing maternal grandmother from Malaga. As an aside, Vita’s companion Violet was a daughter of Alice Keppel. The latter served as confidante to King Edward VII, and is a great-grandmother of the Queen Consort Camilla.
Prior to current #47’s non-consecutive terms in presidential office, the only other such president has been Grover Cleveland. His loss in the 1888 campaign is blamed on the Murchison Letter scandal involving alleged election interference by the British Ambassador. That ambassador happened to be the 2nd Baron Sackville, maternal grandfather to Mrs. Vita Sackville-West mentioned above.

I’ve thought about any “Global Coastal Event”, or it’s derivatives such as reports from Remote Viewers about some
die-off within a decade or two due to quickly rising sealevels
How Quick?
For a sailor like me, that is the question.
Will there be a giant cresting wave, or a relatively short period of surging, rising water — that’s survivable on a boat.
We can argue about how quickly the existing coastlines get drown, but assuming I make it through the event,
well now … that opens up a host of possibilities.
With a totally new coastline, there will be virgin cruising.
I’ll be Leif Erikson.
Maybe, I can sail to SoCal and surf Malibu point all to myself?
Wait, I guess with the preexisting points and reefs now gone
even surfing spots will be completely rejiggered on the new coastline.
Fanciful musings aside, here’s my choice for the next thing to pop. I don’t even have to state it, the following better makes my point.
——–
“Naturally, the common people don’t want war … but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.”

Raw milk contains every known fat and water soluble vitamin in a bioavailable form. It contains every known essential mineral with the major players being calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, and sulfur. It also contains 24 vital trace minerals. All 60 known enzymes are found intact and functioning in raw milk. All 22 amino acids including 8 essential amino acids which are the building blocks of protein.
Pasteurization (heating the milk above 160F) is literally what causes changes in the whey proteins in milk and its overall nutritional composition. When you heat milk to this degree, you are inevitably going to kill beneficial enzymes, bacteria, immunoglobulins, proteins and nutrients that are very heat-sensitive.
There’s evidence that pasteurization may reduce folate concentrations and vitamins C,E,B2,B1, and B12 (PMID: 32438623, PMID: 27340300)
Researchers have also found that pasteurization destroys an enzyme called alkaline Phosphatase… and when they re-added ALP back into pasteurized milk, it rekindled the milk’s ability to reduce allergies ( ?PMID: 31262028).
In terms of health benefits, if you look at the research on raw milk it’s actually pretty astounding there are many studies showing that kids who grow up drinking raw milk and who live on or off of farms have lower rates of asthma eczema and allergies when they’re adults (PMID: 25441645, PMID: 21875744)
There’s also a significant amount of evidence that raw milk is beneficial in reducing respiratory tract infections in children and thus improving the immune system of children (PMID: 29483908).

Cant tell you how games I spent up in stands listening to New York and Jersey parents complaining about this little speedster who was crushing their precious lil Timmy’s into the boards every chance he got. Not sure where his nasty disposition came from, but later on when my MA advisors’ group got their hands on him, he was all lovey dovey
Raw milk has sent people to the hospital:

‘In general, pasteurization has a little effect on milk vitamin levels (Bendicho et al., 2002; Renner et al., 1989). Vitamins that are present at high levels in milk, such as riboflavin, B6 and B12, are relatively heat stable. Other factors, such as storage temperature, dissolved oxygen, light exposure, packaging, and length of storage can have a much greater impact on milk vitamin stability (Gaylord et al., 1986; Kon, 1972; Lavigne et al., 1989;’

‘From 1998 through 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) documented 202 outbreaks linked to raw milk consumption, resulting in 2,645 people becoming ill and 228 people hospitalized. Additionally, a 2017 study found that unpasteurized dairy products cause 840 times more illnesses and 45 times more hospitalizations than pasteurized products. Advocates of raw milk often falsely claim it contains beneficial bacteria that promote gastrointestinal health. However, the bacteria present in raw milk are typically not probiotic and can include harmful pathogens. ‘

I’m off it. No more suggestions about floating. With 8BB of us skin suits packed on the 25% surface dirt the last thing we want to see is overcrowding OutThere. Happily building a few billion decent craft might be nigh on impossible, especially considering how so much of what has already been consumed to support solid life will largely be unavailable to construct even a fleet of modest vessels.
George’s arguments about safety spots and solutions onshore all point to the same relative end. Of course considering no one gets out alive, the where and how of ending is just a conscious choice at some point. Pre-buried, roasted, desiccated, exploded, pretty much the same result.
Like Sailor says, will it be a huge ass wave? A constant rise? Days of cyclonic wind? I’ll take that end as a choice. A good boat might even get you to that new surf spot. Sail on Sailor… sail on.

Eleanor.. you posted about your friend ordering something and no one having any knowledge of the orders..
I got one..I ordered a tea tray..nothing big jus a little coaster that catches the dew on a pitcher as it sits on the table..they shipped it us postal service..it got to our local hub then bounced to another city in the USA then back..I complained to the company no problem they dent a other of the five dollar pitcher coasters..it to got to our regional postal hub the off..its been almost three and a half months has been redirected from our local hub to parts unknown almost forty times each..I got a hold of the company and told them send it fed ex or ups.. which they did and I got it in four days.. when I called about it..I got someone that couldn’t speak English… I’m curious how long it will take before it finally reaches me lol lol..I wish they’d put a sticker at every city and state it travels to lol
I started to comment on this thread, and decided to sleep on it.
First, in doing Ure own Noah analysis, if you are hearing uncontrolled external chatter in your head giving advise, you will want to lay in a stock of meds before going forward with other preps.
There are two main categories for disasters- survivable, and not survivable.
Expending resources for scenarios that are not survivable is not really money well spent. A nuclear strike in an urban downtown inside the crater is not survivable, at least not with supers. A forty mile rock strike is not survivable in that hemisphere.
One of G___’s other readers preps for a large scale EMP strike, because that covers most all scenarios with at least 10% survivability. I can’t fault his logic.
Prepping for scenarios which require hardened shelters is getting into very low survival scenarios. Heavy radiation fall-out, and EF-5 tornadoes are in this category. I keep an eye out for structures which will provide improvised three day hardened shelter. That is one of the few scenarios where active use of firearms may be required to deal with reptiles and other fauna. Escape and evasion always is more survivable than militia madness.
Next big category is do I stay, or do I go?. Staying is preferable, but I include fuel storage and EMP protection for the primary vehicle in my preps. Long term disasters like extreme prolonged drought favor relocation.
Below these big categories there are plenty of Zon prepping guides.
The one category that is usually avoided in the Noah analysis is economics and debt. The one thing that increases your odds of survival in most circumstance is staying debt free, and keeping up insurance. I have had three serious injury incidents in the last six months. The most severe involved perf’d arteries, and would have potentially killed or bankrupted me without insurance. I am not courting karmic brownie points going forward.
An F-5 tornado is easily-survivable — simply be where it isn’t. If you can’t, any old storm or root cellar will give you about a 98% chance of living to regret the cost of lumber. Heavy fallout requires a couple months of food, water, and toilet disposal, and a really good understanding of radiation and how to use a field meter, for when you break the seal. I can drive about 2500 miles to escape, via multiple routes, because there’s no such thing as an impregnable redoubt and I refuse to be less smart than a rat, but the best way to not have an issue with the zombies is to be, and remain hidden and undetectable. BTW a four mile rock strike is not survivable by anyone or anything. Survival from such an impact, or a full-blown Yellowstone regurgitation, will be completely random because there’ll be nothing to eat for, from 40 to many thousands of years, depending on how long the atmosphere is blocked and how far the ice-age glaciers extend…
No serious argument with you. Rotating gasoline fuel storage and EMP protection for the primary vehicle are in line with your comments. Having a modest trailer preloaded with supplies and ready to load fuel is a good idea.
On EF magnitude ratings- an EF-4 should be survivable in a modest underground (which are still pretty pricey), but from what I think have seen of the EF-5’s, they tend to take up roads, slabs and undergrounds that aren’t buried real deep and secured, but then, you have seen more of it than I ever have or will.
If the F5 rolls over to it’s side … then being just below the surface is OK, as long as the roof doesn’t fall in since it is just like the a rotating brush going along the surface
If the F5 stays upright … yep it will SUCK UP the stuff in the super low pressure area and you would have to be DEEP to survive.
The biggest of the F5’s (those a mile or more across) apparently are survivable since they are crossing the ground in a brush like manner versus a super vacume cleaner with a narrow tip manner.
Obviously I don’t want to be caught in either though.
Having seen many smaller tornadoes over the years those don’t scare me since virtually any ol basement or old root cellar will protect you from them (or if daylight hours you just move out of the way). You just have to stay Weather Alert when tornadoes are about, that is the biggest way you avoid getting hurt.
Bear in-mind the Fujita Scale is a measure of the wind velocity at the leading edge of the vortex. The reason SPC went to the “EF Scale” (enhanced Fujita scale) is they rarely have an anemometer or velocity gauge handy when a tornado hits, so they guess the wind velocity by the damage caused by the leading edge of the vortex. This is why there’ll be a day delay before SPC or the NOAA tell folks how powerful the tornado that relocated their house the previous day, actually was.
I have gone out with the Federal boys a number of times. I’m not qualified to “name” the “EF” or wind velocity of a tornado, but I can do a fair job of guessing them by what I see.
A tornado is not a vacuum cleaner. It has a calm core, and sucks upward on either side of that core, like an itty bitty hurricane. The upflow, both on the outside of the vortex and the inner wall moves a tremendous amount of air, but not necessarily at high velocity. (Think about the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a dust collector. A vacuum cleaner may move a square foot of air at 60mph or 88fps. A dust collector may move 22 square feet at 30mph or 44fps.)
A tornado may lift many thousands of square feet of air (and debris), but only at 3-30fps. It is a wind event — not a suction event.
The “vacuum” of an F-5 can not suck a person out of a hole, without help from the person’s clothes or objects it can throw into said person, to dislodge him. It can (and will) shatter nearly anything it encounters, that’s above ground. If a building is “shatterproof,” the tornado can still toss a tree or car into the building and break it. Once it starts to break, it will then shatter or collapse. According to one of the investigators I toured tornado sites with, about the only exception to this is the venerable laundromat [which was] built between 1946 and about 1960. They are typically concrete pill boxes and overengineered by several factors. The windows go away, of course, but the inner rooms are likely completely safe, even in an F-4. (Just the opinion of one person — not advise.)
Note, I use both “F” and “EF.” I use “F” when I’m talking about an actual storm (like one I’m chasing) and “EF” when I talk about its aftermath…
