Calculus Class

Only this is a “calculus of near future.” not that miserable simultaneous equations crap.  Besides, if you follow our work, there’s a chance that consciousness has other ways than numbers to “understand Big Picture” stuff.  We’ll save that for a different day.

Today’s calculus problem is simple – no numbers needed – just a good gut and a bottle of Maalox, maybe.

“Do you invest in War or Peace?” As we review in the ChartPack today, the odds are pretty well balanced.  Case for new all-time highs and a MAGA triumph is there. But so is the Israel nukes Iran to finish the job (and the country).  We figure tonight or tomorrow night may bring indicators on the live news streamers.

There’s also the little matter of where to from here?  See, in long wave economics, the history books suggest we get a Depression then a War.  But, we tackle that because as my consigliere appropriately worries, maybe there’s a “dark planet” or some celestial object which drives human behaviors and we just don’t get it, yet.

Pour a big cup today, my fellow lemmings.  We’re almost to the edge now…

Thanks George … interested in your water storage ideas …… I do have stored/treated water, now pushing 6-7 yrs stored now (and yes probably should be changed out) …… but I also plan to use the Berkey before drinking any stored water, as a precaution. Again thanks for your ideas on this subject.

    That’s ^ a mouthful in just a few words (out of character for the author? beyond my pay grade). We all have our bias (and bios) but the tsunami of info has most relying on their trusted sites which … may just be feeding the loop.

    Cycles feel stretched / late game / semi frantic despite a lull in one of several shooting wars. I mostly look at charts to find my own conclusions (vs rely on one author, site). Though less “in the game” it appears investor psychology is becoming increasingly extreme.

    Irrational exuberance anyone? Yep.

    Lovely dip in the 4-day scorch today. I’m crossing items off the punch list with family inbound one week from today. A puzzlement. my mooring balls have new lines (painters and the buoy line) which are maybe too slick? The balls have both gone walk-about. Luckily, I put our name on with a Sharpie. They came back.

    Milk jugs will stay forever but spiff TaylorMade balls? Nope. But why?

    We have discussed taxing the machines before.
    The Machines are analogous to the people as the people have a large deductible benefit stack (Health, Life, Vision, Dental, Long Term Care) while the machines have Power Consumption and
    regular PM and CM. Humans work a nominal 40hrsx50wk/yr verses the machines 24/7/365.25 except for PM and CM.
    So the way to recover the machine tax is to charge Full Social Security on the machine for every hour it works at the nominal pay rate for the displaced worker.
    If you take a mid-level manager or a master mechanic is 3x Minimum ($15×3)=$46/hour, and charge that rate into SSI for every displaced worker (including those not hired, the machine just took the place of the job created) you are talking about some real money.
    The other way is to go to Wall Street and look at the nominal 2billion trades they do ever day.
    Probably 10% of these are for the retail trader customer. The rest are trades for the House so to speak, especially front running the customers trades, ot programed trades by the computer watching the moving averages just like we do.
    These we won’t be greedy. We will just ask all trading houses to pay a $1.00 sales tax on any trade that is an automatic computerized trade, not for a retail customer.
    Just one dollar.
    Of course that will be about $1.8 BB/DAY (!) new revenue but Wall street can afford it.

Machines should have to “pay for their own frigging replacements” at a rate equivalent to what a human would be racking up at the same production rate. Good bye to the depreciation scam – which means (Bernie sanders was right on this) we really could go to a 30 hour workweek. As it is, we work to pay corps to buy our repalcements and wonder what that feeling of discomfort is…I for one would love a $1 per share trade. Hell, even a dime would do it – that and end nbaked shorting and…oh what a world we could have had, huh?

    Since when is a good cynical reporter such as your self taking anything the Defense Intelligence agency, the CIA, the FBI, the DOS, the DOD, or any other SEIU staffed federal bureaucracy at face value, especially when they come out contradicting what Trump says? Really?

It’s lengthy and detailed, and includes satellite photos. It does not agree with the earlier leaked defense assessment.
