’25 Preview: Markets, Data and Fuse Events

Over the past week with our consigliere, some thoughts on near-term future have evolved. Strangely, the year ahead is looking more bi-polar than ever.  The “Reasonable Middle” is still missing in action.

A pick up in the general news flow is cited, too. We begin with today’s ADP report and then launch into a world of yet another play for regime change by some of the forces that brought you Ukraine.

Then there’s our ChartPack.  Which keeps defying gravity. To the point where you’d think the song in the musical Wicked was the new theme in finance.

Fun morning?  Well, tell me what your idea of a good time is, Mr. de Sade?

    * Can anyone name a President in modern history that you could say qualified #1 or #2 ?

    • A possible #1 – Eisenhower
      A possible #2 – FDR
      (Earlier candidates: Washington, Lincoln.)
      A possible #4 – Cho Bi Den

      #3s are by nature inflammatory

    “India”

The Indians are taking over western .gov. Look at the seats of power changing Vs 50 years ago. The ideal for them is Europeans war with Asians and the mantle moves to India.

    • Just so were’s all clear, I sent a note to Newsweek and told them:

““I was not a partner of Clif High. Nor did I participate in any of his computer coding and breakthroughs. I did, from time to time, only speak with him on what some of his models might be pointing at based on my news background. This was – and is – all Clif’s original work and the story should delte any mention of my following it as a time with other news orgs were not. thank you”

      • Curious could Biden’s pardon of the son and probably the whole family in the near future..be considered null and void if they discover that these drones were flying was because of the questionable actions of the administration both past and present..such as the port deal that they made in 2014 and if there had been club k weapons stashed and placed around the country allowing for weapon depots that were brought over for an illegal army allowed into the country by the actions of the heads of agencies weaponized against the citizens and with the full support of the administration placed the country in direct danger from an enemy brought in and supported by smiley and the administration?

      • would that be how they would consider it clandestine Warfare. I was curious because he showed leniency towards a child in a business aspect the he to was allegedly profiting from. it’s just like going and hiring your kid to come work for you I mean some companies look negatively on that because your favoritism towards someone in the family here you’re looking at a situation where it looks like everything that is being done is going to affect the American citizens of our whole country so they could benefit from it. so could they consider that as null a d void if they discover that they were working for profit with countries that intended to use their greed to overthrow the countries stability by using them and their actions to jeopardize the whole country as a nation. similarly now that we’re finding out that Nancy had a whole lot .ore to do with the outcome of January 6th and then you theres that list of people that were operatives of agencies that were there inciting most of this who is liable for all those negative actions is it the people that were dragged in there because they came down there to do a peaceful demonstration or is it the ones that were inciting the negative aspects of that demonstration that they tried to blame on Trump… just curious… this whole thing gets more complicated and bizarre by the day..what about everyone that was put in prison for all the same offenses that the kid was going to be sentenced for next week..do they get out of prison simikarly..that’s what about a hundred billion industry there as well .how many are doing hard prison time for writing a small check that bounced or smoking a dobby at home..
I personally believe in some parts of outsourcing industry..take and have our violent criminals be in foreign prisons ..cheaper and only have a once a year proof of life..
I started pondering all of this when he went and signed that paper giving a free get out of jail card to his son and I thought you know some companies they can’t hire a family member because they show us favoritism and how does that work especially when it’s a family business and everyone in the family is involved.

  4. I don’t (normally) have much to say, politically. (Several former jobs required this; and over time that’s proved to be wise for a number of reasons.) (Also, Confuscious say; “Better to keep mouth shut and be thought stupid, than to open same, and remove all doubt.”)

    Having said that:

Is they are still writing and reading (at all) history in a hundred years, Biden will be regarded as the destroyer of America (with a LOT of assistance) — if not the entire so-called Western World. (AND! It could be that –> If <- there is still enough time — as of December 4th, 2024 — Trump COULD be set down as the guy who saved it (them) from nuclear obliteration.)

I think it's gonna be a "nick of time" — thing: if at all.

    I rate it 50 – 50.

  5. Hmm… interestingness coverage… car sized drones over philly… hmmm..
and an officer of the FSB over ten years ago mentioned that the USA has been staging the coastline with bombs and a year ago a general slipped and mentioned the same thing in an interview!!!!
hmm.. the Obama Biden port deal with the maker and distributed of club k ..
monkey weed has been pointing out nuclear sniffers..crisscrossing the country..silly to me.. if they staged weapons and drones across the country for sleeper warriors brought into and supported by this present administration.. could it be arms stored for when the would do what they have been saying since before I an old man was a twinkle in my parents eye..
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/map-shows-where-mysterious-drones-over-new-jersey-have-been-spotted/ar-AA1vfJHQ?ocid=BingNewsSerp
so did they see these drones entering the airspace from outside the usa. or did these things show up from container holding areas around the east coast..?
now considering that.. and Joe blanket excusing the criminal activities of the family business.. how would that hold up in the event that they prove the present administration openly allowed and financially supported a hidden army posing as an enemy army crossing into the USA illegally?
would his blanket pardon hold up in that instance?
or could it be considered void because of what danger they had implemented in placing the citizens of the country in danger as a political ploy.. would that also put the heads of the agencies that I believe were set up and weaponized to make them the new addition to the three blind mice saga..let them take the blame for what happens ..its pretty obvious that they have not been doing what they were hired to do..the long list of whistle blowers shows that all the agencies personnel have lost their loyalty to those running the show.. the gunmen that have attempted to do away with the president seemed to have alleged alignments and contacts with the powers in the beltway.. could the blanket forgiveness be considered null and void in the event that this administration could be proven as an accomplice against the country?

if the administration is proven to be involved would that be considered misconduct and the forgiveness reversed?
    just curious..

    • The angle missing on the pardon of the younger rotten apple, is yr 2014 and the FUNDING he secured for Metabio biolabs. Can you spell TREASON ?

Remember covert19 got its start in USA at ft detrick, then on to UNC and dr. ralph baric..from there we set up Chinese to steal it..around same time peter daszak-(christian in action) was working 4 eugenists killbill gates in wuhan. Remote Viewers have a silent drone attacking the wuhan lab, starting fire/cover for breakin and subsequent BREAKOUT of Covert19.

  6. They took a record government bail-out to save a “too big to fail” corporation. How did they respond and subsequently treat their employees? They closed down plants in the U.S. and moved manufacturing overseas to China.
GM just announced that they will take a $5-BILLION dollar hit on their China automotive ventures.
As a couple of transportation and automotive analysts said. “There is no ‘come-back story’ from that kind of loss. Combine this with a growing dissatisfaction from U.S. consumers on their rapidly diminishing quality and lack of any kind of global growth – it is very hard to see where GM will be a year from now.”
.., and – Trump and Musk are going to be forced to deal with this. Now that this is a multi-national fiasco – are they still “Too big to fail”.

“100% Bulls**t”: Hegseth Hit Piece Debunked By Over A Dozen Current And Former Fox Employees”

According to NBC, two of their anonymous sources said that “on more than a dozen occasions during Hegseth’s time as a co-host of ‘Fox & Friends Weekend,’ which began in 2017, they smelled alcohol on him before he went on air,”

In response to the hit piece, Hegseth’s co-host Will Cain – who NBC never reached out to – posted to X: “Bullshit. 100 percent bullshit. Actually…horseshit,” adding in a subsequent post, “Your story is horseshit @NBCNews. Put my name on it. On the record. It’ll be your only on the record source.

Rachel Campos Duffy, Hegseth’s other cohost, also chimed in – posting on X: “The losers at @NBCNews never reached out to me either,” adding “Will Cain is right – your story IS horseshit. You now have 2 people who sat next to him 8+ hours a week on the record. Will you retract or correct your story?”

  8. Which is the greater danger ?nuclear warfare or the population explosion? The latter absolutely! To bring about nuclear war, someone has to do something; someone has to press a button. To bring about destruction by overcrowding, mass starvation, anarchy, the destruction of our most cherished values, there is no need to do anything. We need only do nothing except what comes naturally ?and breed. And how easy it is to do nothing.
    Dr. Isaac Asimov

There will always be popular and persuasive technological optimists who believe that population increases are good, and who believe that the human mind has unlimited capacity to find technological solutions to all problems of crowding, environmental destruction, and resource shortages. These technological optimists are usually not biological or physical scientists. Politicians and business people tend to be eager disciples of the technological optimists.
    Dr. Albert Bartlett. 1994

Ure you didn’t live up to your IQ. Dividing one number, land, by another, population, offers a data point.

    But has no relevance.

How about its Ecological Footprint? Very low. Africa cannot sustainably support many people. Far fewer than today.

    How about water?

Land without water is a desert. Africa is mostly dry.

“Here is everything you need to know about the water crisis in Africa: Africa is the second-driest continent globally, behind Australia.”

For a good illustration, “5.52 billion people out of a population of 7.78 billion in 186 countries face water insecurity today. Of these, 1.34 billion are Africans (out of your 1.5 billion), accounting for more than 90% of the continent’s population.

It’s not water shortages; its people longages!

  9. Does it matter?
A lot of talk and doom-&-gloom, but does it actually matter ? All that much ?
We [the U.S.] has been in a few recessions. We weathered it and we always came back even stronger. Something about being bitch-slapped., as a whole, gets a lot people’s tightie-whities all bunched-up and they come out of the corner swinging even harder.
I know that quite a few will suffer, somewhat. Being shown your ignorance and stupidity can often create a lot of problems – but they will work it out., eventually. Usually with the help of others.
I, personally, am not too concerned about a recession – possibly a slight interruption in my bourbon-buying., poker games ? ., time at the pistol range?.., but otherwise I don’t foresee anything insurmountable occurring. If it is handled right., on the federal scale – we will “skate on through to the other side” in a year, or so.. what the problem is whether the recession goes too deep and the cracks that we are ignoring right now and simply stepping over widen to the point that they collapse the economy and we fall into that chasm called a depression. Which is possible on several economic fronts. ., and with China’s help – VERY possible.
Not including an all out war. – that changes everything – and rather quickly. That would be a “Buckle-up.., it’s about to get bumpy out there” , & – “You don’t have enough ammo.”
.., but, we are not there, yet. And hopefully won’t get-there. But, if you are as smart as you seem to be – you have a plan in place., with a Plan-B mapped out., with an emergency Plan-C. You can see., you know., what you need to “get-by” and be “slightly more” then comfortable.
Right now, that is best you can do.
So.., try to chill a bit., go get some nacho’s and beer…,

  10. re: Volgograd, Ru update
    feat: when penguins fly

    Folks,

Hold off lighting the fuse on the hazelnut baileys! Russian msm is reporting on a recent state of affairs in the South Atlantic Ocean. Three Russian women from the aerially-besieged city of Volgograd were aboard the nearly new polar luxury cruise ship Diana which is named after the Roman goddess. The trio had embarked on a hunger strike as the vessel built in 2022 had failed to land as promised at Antarctica following engine problems. The incensed Russians claimed to have paid around 1.2 million roubles (us$11,500) each for a three week cruise.

The ship’s website shows the vessel looking rather posh. There are no inside cabins. The brand had at one time been based in England and owned by a peer in the House of Lords as well as being Honorary Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy. His ship HMS President traced its roots to the original flagship of the US Navy, USS President, launched at New York in 1800. The cruise line is currently headquartered in Cyprus and commanded by a reserve member of the Italian navy now resident in Monaco with unnamed financial backers.
