I know you have struggled with ADHD. There is nothing in Ure writing that suggests abnormal mental decline. I think you are already indulging in a non-inflammatory diet, which is Ure best defense. When I evaluate new foods (including ones in capsules), I look for evidence of inflammation suppression, anti-cancer, reduction in all cause mortality, and references to potential protection against Alzheimers. Fortunately, these sorts of properties tend to cluster. Not sure how the candidate Japanese Metformin replacement will figure in.

I have read that a Carnivore diet helps ADHD kids behavior by something like 60%. I have also read that a high meat, low carb diet improves Alz memory states sometimes to close to normal. The women in my family who got Alz in their late 80s and 90s all worried about their weight and ate restricted diets throughout their lives.
Once, while in a deep meditative state, I was told I was asleep because I took a deep breath when someone entered my energy field. I was not asleep, but I understand why low oxygen levels would occur when meditating.
Since I was hanging out with people who meditated quite frequently I met quite a few people who talked about energy moving through their bodies, often described as white light. I had two experiences. Once, on a silent extended retreat I saw/experienced white light moving from the base of my spine to my chin. My Spiritual Director laughed and said my energy was blocked because I was unable to express “my truths” completely. Another time I was meditating in a chapel where religious music was playing. I felt the music start at my toes and go straight through my body and out the top of my head. It felt like I had a fist size hole on top of my head. I touched the top of my head to make sure it was still there.
Thinking deeply is a form of meditation or reading religious literature or scripture can put you into an altered mental state or trance. Meditating seems to increase sexual energies even when thinking deeply about non sexual images or topics. I came across a book that described having a man arouse himself but not to the point of ejaculation and maintain that state for as long as possible, as a spiritual exercise.
People having ecstatic experiences tend to have “glowing” faces. Moses was on top of.. that mountain for quite a long time. I can’t imagine being in an ecstatic state for a week or two.

Whether you believe in all the gossip, rumors and conspiracies of the “Epstein Files”., there is one thing you do have to consider. Why are so many in Congress in a permanent state of ‘cringe’ and doing what they can to stop the release of the files, videos and paper work ? Congress has been in a lock-up for nearly two weeks over this., and to avoid a vote now., the Speaker is sending every one home early – so no vote can be taken. To me – that screams that there must be some real damning evidence/names/videos contained in all that data.
I guess it is so everyone will have a moment to calm down, and do what they can to flip other congressional members to their side. I am not sure that is going to work very well. But then again., politicians as a whole, are basically cowards and injecting real chaos into the system by releasing all the Epstein data would back most of them off.
If Trump is as involved and as ‘dirty’ as rumors are making him out to be – a complete halt and possible flip in the government is not something they want to initiate.
