The general population is not doing well, the housing market is rolling over, and we have the economic problems with China.

     On top of that, Dowd reports “US Disabilities Hit an All-Time High of 37 Million in July: Up 23% Since Feb 2021.” That’s when the CV19 injections rolled out. Dowd says, “This is a trend change. I can confidently say a large percentage of that increase is CV19 vaccine related. This has been well documented, and it’s coming out more and more.

     – Quick math: – Roughly one out of ten Americans are now on disability [ ? ] …, damn !

       What I am paying attention out of the corner of my eye is the new NECESSITY for the US Government to buy it’s own debt, ie: effectively foreigners are NOT showing up to buy it. You can already see Bessett panicking behind the scenes. $1 Trillion in US Govt funds now stand behind the government bond issuance ready to buy if need be? SHEESH!! (and Trump saying he will “Bomb the Bond Market” tells us that behind the scenes he is being warned about major major problems)

       Part of that can be explained by the fact that the oil exporting countries are now having to borrow borrow borrow to support their own economies versus recycling petro dollars into (mostly) the US either directly or directly. How much of a cash flow swing is that? One report I read said that the Saudi’s borrowed $30 billion in the First Quarter … and the oil and raw materials export shock at that point had only started to hit. How bad was the hit in the 2nd Quarter?

       Trump’s War planning in addition to missing item after item clearly did not factor in the effect on the Word’s Capital Markets, and the US Treasury Market in particular, of the shut down of the money recycling that took place via the oil /raw materials sales from the Gulf region. AND … that is only First Order Effects. It has also seriously damaged the economies of every country in East Asia plus India /Pakistan which affects the cash flow available to non-government sources in those countries for buying US Debt.

       A US Debt “BUYER’S STRIKE” by foreigners (mostly because they don’t have the money to buy) now appears to be an actual possibility … an undreamed of situation. No wonder Bessett appears to panicking. (remember as Soros right hand man who did the trading for him for 15 years he KNOWS government debt issues inside and out, probably one of the most knowledge people on the planet wrt that issue since that is where Soros has made most of his money)

         Higher minority share of means-tested rolls is real and mostly eligibility. Higher minority skill at extracting aid is not what the take-up literature says. On several big programs (UI, immigrant SNAP/Medicaid, program knowledge), the measured gap runs the other way. If someone is selling the “they’re just better at working the system” line, they are collapsing poverty rates into a character study.

     • I would think a partial solution might be to have a news source feed into either an AI or even a good program to strip out all adjectives and emotionally hot words. Facts, emotions, judgements and opinions are different things, and only facts matter. The result could be text or dispassionate monotone AI voice. Obviously, ads would be stripped out too. The output might be worth reading or listening to. None of us need prepackaged opinions from talking heads.

   • “News” has always been ideologically shaded. Through Google, you can pull newspaper and magazine issues from the 1700s and 1800s. As you sift back through them, you’ll notice things which are patently wrong or incorrect, simply based on logic and reason (and often physics.) Skim several from the same rag and you’ll begin to notice a writer’s bias toward a certain viewpoint or ideology.

     Leftists have always been better at this (propaganda or agitprop) than Rightists. The farther Left a person’s ideology, the easier their language flow and the more-convincing their propaganda. This is why the Democratic Party is having serious issues with the communists right now. Democrats lie. They have not been able to field an honest agenda since (at least) Truman. They always push hard Left — much harder than they could ever confess to, even their staunchest supporters, if they hoped to be elected to ANY office.

     Now, we have “the Squad” (or “the Squalid,” as I prefer to call them) and from their vile mouths have sprung over a hundred “Democratic Socialists” – full-blown, unabashed Leninist (or Maoist) Marxists whose ideology is fully incompatible with the United States (hence why they want to invalidate the Constitution. Our Constitution is a contract which places limits on Government — what it is, and what it can {and can’t} do. The “Democratic Socialists” deign to replace the Constitution with a document that gives government limitless power, whilst limiting the power and recourse of the governed and eliminating the “checks and balances” built into our system.)

     The communists are using the exact game plan AOC used: Only campaign in heavily Democratic districts, only campaign against lazy or complacent Democrat incumbents, and most importantly, knock on doors and press the flesh. They’ll carry this over into the Fall Election and it remains to be seen, whether their message resonates with voters who’re given a genuine ideological alternative. I suspect in Districts with a 70-80 percent Democrat bias it won’t make a difference and they’ll be elected, but in Statewide campaigns against Republicans who don’t pull a “Joe Crowley” (that’s the Dem AOC primaried the year she got elected) and expect to sit on their hands and win just because they’re “not commies,” the Republicans will smoke the comp, aided by a bunch of Dem crossover voters who love the country more than they love the Party.

     In 10 weeks we’ll see how high the agitprop stacks. If you can’t wait, you can always do what I do and investigate every publication and pundit, determine exactly [where] their biases lie on any given subject, then weight what they say against their internal bias to interpolate actual usable news & information. I’ve been doing this for 35 years, and it doesn’t get easier. It takes a minimum of an hour and a half (and sometimes as much as 10-12 hours) to investigate each individual source. My only shortcuts are

     1) If a reporter ever tells a boldfaced, deliberate lie, they are forever untrustworthy, and everyone who associates with them is suspect.

     2) Anyone who glosses over the negative accomplishments of a known, very bad person (like George or Victoria, or the Gorical), defends them, sides with them, or accepts their opinion (or that of organizations they fund) as gospel, is either too compromised or too stupid to ever have a viable, useful opinion or newsbit.

     3) Believe absolutely nothing you see, hear, or read. Because of advancements in AI it is possible to create any information whatsoever and present it as truthful, accurate, and viable. IF YOU DO NOT WITNESS SOMETHING LIVE AND IN-PERSON, IT DIDN’T HAPPEN AND DOESN’T EXIST! This is extremely difficult for mere mortals to grasp, but unless the Sun throws a killshot our way and knocks Humanity back to the 18th Century, we’re going to have to get our heads wrapped around the fact we’re now living in other people’s simulations.

     • Just finished a book called “Wyatt Earp Speaks”….while it focused on actual words spoken or written by Wyatt, Doc Holliday and others, it also had excerpts from newspapers of the era. Whatever someone, anyone, said about the Earps, Clantons or whomever was printed as fact, and usually picked up and repeated all over the country – depending on the ideology of the particular paper. There was no semblance of objectivity. Not unlike much of today’s media, social and otherwise, just a bit slower.

       I’d say the mid 20th century was the apex of attempts at balanced reporting, but I have a personal example of how it could still get mangled. Returning from a trip (in 1974) to Israel and Europe, I was asked to submit a little blurb to the local weekly paper. I mentioned the gas prices I saw on signs over there – astronomical compared to here. I forgot that I was looking at prices expressed in the local currency, not dollars……but other papers picked that one bit out and ran with it, no questions asked. Crap.
