Monetizing Racism and Terrorism

Five cops dead, half a dozen wounded at a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Dallas.  Snipers took out the cops. Another half-dozen wounded.

There is a very simple test one can apply when trying to sort out complex questions like those raised by the assassinations overnight:  When does this become domestic terrorism?

18 U.S.C. § 2331 defines “international terrorism” and “domestic terrorism” for purposes of Chapter 113B of the Code, entitled “Terrorism”:

“International terrorism” means activities with the following three characteristics:

?Involve violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;

?Appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and

?Occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S., or transcend national boundaries in terms of the means by which they are accomplished, the persons they appear intended to intimidate or coerce, or the locale in which their perpetrators operate or seek asylum.*

“Domestic terrorism” means activities with the following three characteristics:

?Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;

?Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and

?Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

18 U.S.C. § 2332b defines the term “federal crime of terrorism” as an offense that:

?Is calculated to influence or affect the conduct of government by intimidation or coercion, or to retaliate against government conduct; and

?Is a violation of one of several listed statutes, including § 930(c) (relating to killing or attempted killing during an attack on a federal facility with a dangerous weapon); and § 1114 (relating to killing or attempted killing of officers and employees of the U.S.).

* FISA defines “international terrorism” in a nearly identical way, replacing “primarily” outside the U.S. with “totally” outside the U.S. 50 U.S.C. § 1801(c).”

That Black Lives Matter has denied many people seeking political office access, including famously keeping Bernie Sanders from speaking in Seattle, seems to me to bump right up against some definitions, as I have mentioned previously.

Now, with the feds and Dallas PF reportedly holding suspect information from the public, we have to wonder what, exactly, they don’t want us to know? Are the suspects white crazies, black crazies, or Islamic terrorists who have infiltrated America and have figured this is a path to fomenting civil war in the USA? For now, no details.

Yet another set of bad actors to consider:  California gang members have been charged with targeting blacks.  Is Dallas related?  Again, the surnames may help when released.

That’s a really bad move. Right now we need transparency. *(Remember that joke?)

The problem, from a social-psychology standpoint is that the lack of information simply feeds The Monetizing Monster – the Internet.

With the tragedy in Dallas, organizations already monetizing racism are reported here to have used the Alton Sterling case as a fund-raising rally point.

The American Left magically deifies victims like Sterling, who is pictured by them as a black father of five. But a more evenly read view notes that Sterling had a long rap sheet and reportedly had a gun on him. That’s illegal in Louisiana; for a felon which Sterling was reported to be. Law doesn’t matter to the Left, though, as the Teflon Princess has just rubbed in our faces.

Nevertheless, monetizing the Racial Divide in America marks a new low-point in domestic political relations. If you read that previous link, you find that:

Predictably MoveOn and Color of Change –which was founded by self-described “rowdy black nationalist” Van Jones and MoveOn alumnus James Rucker— didn’t bother waiting for the facts to be known before using the incident to raise money. On Wednesday MoveOn sent out a mass email to members demanding that U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch hold the police officers involved accountable.”

Even entertainment figures, such as Beyonce, are wading into this. New songs equals new revenue. Toss in a Molotov of emotion-marketing and happy endings get to be few and far between.

Still the Progressives continue to inch closer to revolution – which I think is the point. Hillary may be the straw…but we shall see.

Free speech or monetizing racism? It’s an easy sell of the former to the young, who have had understanding of America core values washed out of them by curriculum engineers’ intent on containing American independence of viewpoint and critical thinking.

As always, we support our police, mindful that they can’t take human lives on a whim. However, there is generally still justice when things don’t work as they should.

Which gets us to the opening observation this morning: The United States – thanks to the progressive left and monetizing racism which excuses things like a long-time felon carrying a gun, in order to further their agenda – is sliding us into the new Divided States of America more rapidly than we had anticipated.

The political monetizing, in retrospect, really started with Al Gore and Greenpeace.

Gore may not have invented the Internet, but monetizing “global warming?” Oh yeah. And monetize those whales and seal pups while we’re at it.

The point is this: We are no longer ruled by principles. We are ruled by the Dollar Almighty. We can’t speak of God anymore, but we can speak of cash…that’s just fine.

Having cast off our moorings to the Rule of Law, equality for all, and with the help of the “division monetizers,” we can hardly wait to see if the Nation can survive eight more years of Obama under Hillary.

I have my doubts.

But then again, we have our passports and friends overseas.

The Grand Illusion of Jobs

It is no surprise that the happy talk about jobs will likely power the market up at the open this morning. Here’s the latest govspiel….

“Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 287,000 in June, and the unemployment rate rose to 4.9 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job growth occurred in leisure and hospitality, health care and social assistance, and financial activities.

Employment also increased in information, mostly reflecting the return of workers from a strike. Household Survey Data The unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage point to 4.9 percent in June, and the number of unemployed persons increased by 347,000 to 7.8 million. These increases largely offset declines in May and brought both measures back in line with levels that had prevailed from August 2015 to April. (See table A-1.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult women (4.5 percent) and Whites (4.4 percent) rose in June. The rates for adult men (4.5 percent), teenagers (16.0 percent), Blacks (8.6 percent), Asians (3.5 percent), and Hispanics (5.8 percent) showed little or no change. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

The number of persons unemployed less than 5 weeks increased by 211,000 in June, following a decrease in the prior month. At 2.0 million, the number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) changed little in June and accounted for 25.8 percent of the unemployed. (See table A-12.)

In June, the number of job losers and persons who completed temporary jobs rose by 203,000 to 3.8 million, after a decline in May. (See table A-11.) Both the labor force participation rate, at 62.7 percent, and the employment-population ratio, at 59.6 percent, changed little in June. (See table A-1.)

The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) decreased by 587,000 to 5.8 million in June, offsetting an increase in May. These individuals, who would have preferred full-time employment, were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find a full-time job.”

While the Hallelujah Choir sings songs on praise, a bit of reality sinks in. Not that least of which is we have seen absolutely ZERO POLITICAL LEADERSHIP on the coming mass replacement/obsolescence of humans by robots.

This reinforces our view that politics is reactive (and badly) rather than directive and positive in nature.

Dow futures were up about 40 in the wake of this.

NATO and EU to Play Nicely

The leaders of NATO and the Eur-a-crumbling Union has signed a “such-a-deal.:”

Will the idiots in Washington stop funding the defense of Europe?  Nope.  And we’ll continue giving them breaks right and left.

What’s Left of the GOP

Is not likely to succeed in getting democratic high bidder Hil’s clearance jerked.,

Meantime, Bernie’s throwing in with her.

Like that’s a surprise, eh comrade?

  1. On leaving the country: Please check current law on how much of your money and property you can take with you. Just like Castro did when he took over Cuba, you may only be able to take your clothes by the time you decide to leave. An expat friend of mine left long enough ago that he was able to take his gold bullion with him. I don’t think that is legal anymore. We are so close to the door being changed to “entrance only”.

    • I think it’s still legal – barely, if you fill in the right forms and ship it properly. Never carry it on your person. The other thing is to make sure it’s legal to import to wherever you’re going, and do the proper paperwork on their end. There’s surprisingly little accurate information on moving valuable assets safely and legally internationally.

Yes, the doors are closing, but not quite closed yet. International travel has never been fun, and always traumatic for some of us, but the likely future here may leave us little choice.

  2. RE: Dallas snipers, ‘The Daily Beast’ reports Dallas Police Chief David Brown, who is black, being quoted as saying ” The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.” The suspect was cornered by an armed robotic device and was engaged in extended negotiations with police before being eliminated with a robotic bomb when negotiations reached a stalemate. It will be interesting to see what further affiliations the suspects may have had, such as their source of gun training (civilian gun ranges, military training, etc.), education, group memberships and (if any) public quotes, publications and legally accessible electronic communications. In the meantime, police officers in big cities may think twice about responding to mass protests, which could well lead to the anarchists moving in with misguided attempts to stir up localized revolutions through instigated chaos, violent protest and damage/destruction of corporate properties. “America . . . what a country!” (Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff)

  3. Well George what would one expect for we have little but a war culture for we have had few years of peace since the republic was founded, then toss in the foolish rulings of the high court in the 80’s and we get just what we have,a sick society.!!

  4. Generally speaking one can only ‘make money’ on something when it isn’t free; Not speaking of terrorism as I don’t have much knowledge, in the matter of racism . . . there is in parts of our country a ‘mindset’ I will call ‘casual racism’ which quite pervasive:

So I’m down visiting my in-laws, and I decide to go shopping. I look up some nationally known stores (have them in the PNW too) and find out that they are at a particular mall in the area. My husband and I make plans to shop . . . which is when it gets interesting.

“Oh, that’s the ‘black mall’,” my ever-so-helpful sister-in-law says, “You don’t want to go there.” Turns out that the shop from the same retailer that they do go to is like forty miles away in another town. My husband and I give each other ‘the look’ which means that no matter what someone says, they can go ‘stuff it’. (It was wonderful how often we did that, being in sync. I miss it.)

So we went to ‘the black mall’ and found what we needed – wandered around and saw the various shops – perfectly fine time. Saw people of all types having a good time shopping. Nothing untoward happened, and when we again met up with our in-laws, made a point of mentioning where we went . . .

Racism – no matter what ‘form’ it takes – is something that one needs to be mindful of, at all times. If you do nothing, even in a casual setting than you are promoting it.

In no way am I perfect, I will not ‘buy in to it’ so casually . . .

    • Maybe what she was trying to (indelicately) say is that the mall is in a high-crime neighborhood. Otherwise, nothing else would keep me from my favorite store.

    • Back in the late 90’s early 00’s I was working for a multi national in USA, Mississippi, one week end when wife and I were out driving somewhere we needed petrol(gas?) so seeing a sign to what looked like a town we drove in and pulled up at a pump. within seconds it was obvious we were in a black town, the guy who ran the show came out and politely asked how he could help. when he heard the Australian accent it became a party! There would have been a couple of dozen kids milling around, following my wife into the store, so we stayed quite a while chatting to folk, it was great. Next work morning I mentioned we went into this place, the reaction in the office was one of horror!! You all didn’t go in there did you? They couldn’t believe we were treated so well. Interesting eh?

  5. Or another possibility: it’s an act of the Russian Spetnaz- what they call their “overture” of actions to soften up/distract before a main invasion. Russian military are here, speak accent-free English, and have been freely discussing their plans in the Russian language, assuming no one speaks it. They are wrong.
Otherwise, possibly a rogue element of “our government” getting impatient that their psy ops race war has been tardy, and took action. I ask myself, how many black snipers have there been in history? None that I know of; it’s always been a white guy in my memory, but there’s a first time for everything. Still, my bet is on a white guy.

  6. Well I’ll be dipped…British press identifies him as someone who hates whites, especially cops- and told a negotiator he acted alone. That is, before the police blew him up with a robotic bomb.

  7. The Daily Mail UK has his name, & always seems to have more information than is available in the US press

  8. WARNING! Expatriation is not like you see it in the media. Waiting until you become a refugee instead of an expat will definitely put you on the bottom of the food chain wherever you go.

There is nothing like visiting a known expat destination to get an understanding of what location might be a fit for you. The chances of dropping into a destination and finding a match the first time are just about zero.

  9. East St. Louis, Baltimore, New Orleans, now Dallas (Dallas, why does it have to be Dallas??)
It should be clear by now that we are seeing the end result of LBJ’s (Texas, right?)”Great Society” brought to us by the liberal Dems of the day.
Anyone that thinks this is accidental is brain-dead, this was the PLAN all along!
As to the money aspect of this, the Great Society programs have spent and amount over the years roughly equivalent to our total federal debt, so we have all paid into this with both tax and borrowed $$$ that we will be paying interest on through taxation until the crash comes.
The a$$holes in DC want to start a race war and it won’t be long now.
BTW, the organizing force behind “Black Lives Matter’ is reportedly none other than O’Buddy Van Jones!
    Treason anyone?

    • This Dallas murder incident sure will work well to get Hillary’s and FBI’s treason off of the Sunday AM TV shows!
All of these government “employees” swear an oath to “support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”. If and when they break that oath they have committed Treason against the Constitution. Secondarily they have committed the class I felony of perjury, no different than if any of us don’t tell the truth when under oath, but don’t hold your breath for “equal treatment under law” as we saw this week.

  10. Let’s take it a bit easy on the theories. Police properly withhold some information for identification, so they can sort out the true actors, etc. Mike

  11. It’s a wonder something didn’t happen considering Obama faithfully rationalised it in advance. I’m sure there are abundant examples of police killing of detained white subjects which would equalize the narrative it that was in any way desired.

  12. Some observations from the front lines…When one combines a thoroughly dumbed down, non critical thinking and easily persuaded majority of the populace along with the nanosecond delivery and dissemination of information and a lapdog, complicit media complex, one sees this union as one of the better forms of a contemporary symbiotic relationship. Then the aggrieved special interest group or individual can utilize this catalyst of symbiosis to promote their injustices, real or perceived, via the cause du jour. This use of the “social algorithm” is oft repeated and shall be into the future…..to more fully understand how the image makers perceive me, I have enrolled in the Edward Bernays correspondence course knowing that, upon completion, I will gladly pay more than the suggested retail price…

  13. what continues to baffle me is that racism is still here with us to such a high degree in the year 2016. Seeing the racism today – in a world of high tech that was inconceivable in the 1900s, makes me wonder if somehow I have gone back in time. We, as a society, might have progressed in intelligence as far as tech, but doesn’t seem like we have progressed in accepting each other.

Growing up in the 60’s and 70s in the inner city of a large mid-west town, and having a parent that worked where many from different foreign cultures worked together, I grew up without race or culture prejudices, which, I still hold dear today. In fact, being white poor from the inner-city, I experienced alot of negativity as well from others with pre-conceived beliefs. Thank goodness I didn’t buy into the message but was able to overcome the obstacles set in my way by a judgmental society.

It still is beyond my comprehension that people still judge each other based on skin color. There will always be bad and evil people of all skin colors. A very powerful lesson growing up was while visiting a park, my parent medically help treat a person of color who had been injured in an accident at a park. Afterwards my parent said to me, “you cannot tell the color of someone’s skin by looking at the color of blood they bleed. And when in the hospital operating room, one cannot tell the color of skin when operating on a person. We are all the same- we are all humans. The color of skin only makes a difference when people look at each other with prejudice and hate.”

  14. When it comes voting I will be after 44 years change to a third party. I wont vote for someone above the law. Who I vote for wont win. But it time to get some new parties and that wont happen if do not make effort to rid the two we have.

  15. “We are ruled by the Dollar Almighty. We can’t speak of God anymore, but we can speak of cash…that’s just fine.”

Reminds me of ‘Revolution Calling’ by Queensryche from back in the 80’s:

“But now the holy dollar rules everybody’s lives,
Gotta make a million doesn’t matter who dies.”

    Good song, insightful lyrics:

    • Seriously? Dude WTF? The Greens are just another crop of “Let me be in charge and I will give you an extra helping of free lunch. ”

Give me a budget and a clear policy direction and means to get there without breaking shit and I’m down with that.

But yet another lib tyrant? Pass the di duchy

    • I’ll vote for her if she and the Greens are on our NM ballot. The DemoPubs work hard to keep “third party” candidates far away from ballots though. Makes one wonder what those in power have to fear. That voters might actually see they have a choice?

  16. How much will they make selling copies of The Edwards Commission? They’ve already dropped triangulation, and are now down to one shooter.

  17. What I found worrisome is that police departments in this country have robotic bombs they can set off to assassinate US citizens. That seems like an escalation in force against the citizenry.

Don’t get me wrong. I cry no tears over the sniper that was killed. I just wonder how the deployment of robotic bombs and their detonation is controlled and what checks may be in place. It is a slippery slope.

    • When I heard about the robot and the bomb, it reminded me of an incident from several decades ago in Philadelphia – that MOVE debacle where a radical group in a tightly packed area was ‘bombed’ with the agreement of the authorities, and a whole bunch of row houses got burned out. Innocent children were killed too, and fire personnel stood by and did nothing. (I can’t remember exactly, but I believe the police chief and the mayor might have ended up getting ‘canned’ – I do remember being shocked – what would authorities ‘do’ to get ‘their man’?)

This time why couldn’t they have ‘waited the sniper out’? Something is missing from their explanation of why this action was necessary. This action seems contrary to standard law enforcement mindset . . .

      • Someone, or lots of someones, wanted him dead. LEOs always have flashbangs and teargas.

The robotic bomb makes me think we turned a new corner in law enforcement.

      • It seems to me that whenever someone kills a cop, the cops tend to kill them back. They don’t want a trial. They want the cop killer dead.

    • Would you not also believe that Donald Trump should also be subject to ‘The Rule of Law’? I despise people who fraud people – Trump ‘ripping off’ students at his ‘university’ or his misuse of the legal system i.e. hundreds of lawsuits that he can bully creditors he owes money to . . . both major parties are ‘screwed’!

Yes, the system is broken – and fixing it will take time, sacrifice, and more than a little money . . . and sadly blood probably . . .

By the way, in Dallas when the shots rang out – the police didn’t know who was firing at whom – the protesters – black or white – or the police – felons aren’t terribly picky or smart. “The Rule of Law” as followed by the police can only be what their politicians and communities where they work want it to be. If you want something to change then you must do it!

  18. Since 9/11, white right-wing terrorists have killed almost twice as many Americans in homegrown attacks than radical Islamists have, according to research by the New America Foundation.

    http://time.com/3934980/right-wing-extremists-white-terrorism-islamist-jihadi-dangerous/

…in the two decades since Timothy McVeigh’s attack. Below (taken from SPLC’s records and confirmed by outside news accounts) is a list of 29 deadly attacks since Oklahoma City—comprising a total of 63 victims—carried out or believed to have been carried out by white extremists.

As a matter of fact, toddlers with guns have killed more people in the US than Muslim Terrorists have.

How are you white people monetizing your racism? Oh, that’s right, for-profit prisons, mandatory drug testing, mass media scare mongering and the like.
