TL;DR: An amazing level as a daily market peak and the weekly close are about to duke it out. Meanwhile, the web broke Monday and the Ure’s did their doctor visits, too….
Markets: Technical Contradictions
Markets are putting on a better crime drama than anything on streaming, lately. The “crime drama” today is the nearly $100 drop in the price of physical gold. The “crime?” In a word? Rehypothecation. Around here? We call it The Invisible Crime – one that could victimize the whole planet!
Let me slow the roll a bit:
Rehypothecation—the practice of financial institutions reusing collateral pledged by clients for their own borrowing—is one of those elegant sleights of hand that turns real wealth into a hall of mirrors. When applied to physical gold, it crosses a moral and systemic line. But the ultra-pricks have spread around enough grease to keep regulators ignoring this for decades.
Gold’s very purpose is to serve as a tangible, finite store of value, immune to digital legerdemain and fiat dilution. Yet major bullion banks routinely pledge, lend, or “lease” the same bars multiple times, turning ounces into promises. The result is a shadow supply chain of paper claims vastly exceeding the metal actually held in vaults—an illusion of abundance built on counterparty faith rather than elemental reality.
In a just financial order, such multiplication of physical collateral would be illegal, akin to issuing multiple titles to the same plot of land. Instead, regulators tolerate it under the banner of liquidity and “market efficiency.” This permissiveness lets bullion markets appear deep and stable, when in truth they are leveraged to fragility. The gold futures market in London and New York can settle hundreds of contracts with a single ounce moving on paper, undermining the very reason investors hold gold: certainty of ownership. The sleight becomes complete when no criminal statute is triggered—because the system itself was written to protect the illusion, not the integrity of the underlying asset.
Rehypothecation of gold thus stands as the ultimate contradiction in modern finance. The law protects a process that erodes the trust it claims to preserve. Banks profit by turning elemental scarcity into digital derivatives, while the public sleeps under the illusion that their allocated bars exist somewhere, solid and untouched. If a true run on physical delivery ever came, the curtain would drop on the great golden myth of our age: that possession no longer matters in a world ruled by promises.
Ures Core Value Axiom: One LIE is value is made of digits. Another is Gold is made of paper.
Three Market Monte
Let’s see here: paper gold? Check! Bitbulls? Down $2,275 today around $108,362.00 — Check!
Which leaves us laughing at the Stock Market. Why? Well…if the market can close out the week around present levels (and you gotta believe in the Easter Bunny, right?) then we will have the picture-perfect split!
No, we ain’t talking some Hollywood bad dog and his harlot-hotty. Nope – the technical implications of a Double Top (or close enough) on a New Moon!!! This means by the New Moon in December, we should be at a low – just in time for my Slaughter of the Elves, II that I have been nattering on about.

Friend, it doesn’t get more glorious than this among the marketdemic circle jerks. What was the commercial? “Two, two, two tastes in One!” Except it’s Daily versus Weekly charts are ruling – like it matters when the build is about to collapse.
Building collapse did you say? Funny thing about leverage, digital or financial—it always fails quietly, then all at once.
(Partially) Broken Web
You do remember my Peoplenomics reports from back in 2012? The ones where I wrote about my book Broken Web?
Well, tomorrow on Peoplenomics there’s a 20-odd page update to the book.
The Splinternet is where I lay out some of the (few) things Broken Web didn’t get right.
Allow me the privilege of doffing cap, gown, and quoting from the Abstract of tomorrow’s report:
“This paper revisits the original threat matrix from Broken Web, measures which 2012 risks endured or evolved, and introduces the Ure Risk Equation, a Drake-style model for estimating civilization-scale failure probability in an over-connected world. From online radicalization to AI-driven automation of both creation and destruction, the evidence points to a new reality: the Internet has outgrown its human stewards. The question is no longer whether the Net will fail, but whether humanity can remain coherent when it does. In an age where every outage feels normal and every opinion becomes a domain, Splinternet: What Broken Web Got Wrong asks the only question that still matters—Is this progress, or entropy with a user interface?”
Why, that sounds almost too thoughtful and deep for this hour, doesn’t it?

Elaine and I agreed a long time back to use the same PCP. Reason is simple: How much information can be lost when you have to remember all the things your doctor tells you?
Pretty much a non-event, mainly. My blood pressure was 146/71 despite my “white- coat” syndrome. (Where your blood pressure spikes around anyone in white lab coats…)
We found it was pretty interesting that despite our taking lithium orotate (which might have something to do with ALZ onset) both of us were under what are essentially background levels.
My recent cutback in red meat may have contributed to my red blood cell count being low. Still looks like the Omega-3s and solid multi-vits plus the anti-aging protocols are working.
I drank a lot of water before the visit – and asked to use the “facilities” and was directed to the small room, one hall over and two doors away. Returning, I asked the PCP “Got any more of those pee cups? I filled up as many as I could, but if you have more I can finish peeing…please?)
(I’ve gotten used to people rolling their eyes.)
Pappy told me the story of being at Pearl during WW II – nurse came in and handed him a beer glass to pee in (such was the supply chain at the time)/
“Want that poured with, or without a head on it?”
Seems to run in families, huh?
Off to contemplate why – Since science says the Moon is 4.275 billion years old, why do aome people insist we get a New Moon every month? Or, is that an in Ure face hint that everyone on this planet is crazy?

Newsflash : regulators are considering some new fangled ETFs with 5x leverage. WCPGW? E
Recent Filings: Volatility Shares has filed for a suite of 27 new ETFs, including both 3x and 5x leveraged products. These ETFs are designed to amplify the daily returns of their underlying assets by five times, meaning a 2% increase in the asset could result in a 10% increase in the ETF’s value, and vice versa for losses.
2 Targeted Assets: The proposed 5x leveraged ETFs will focus on various high-volatility stocks, including major tech companies like Tesla, Nvidia, Amazon, and Palantir, as well as cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. This diverse range aims to attract speculative investors looking for amplified returns.
.
That’s a wee bit scary.
Casino gambling? Las Vegas on steroids?
So, one wonders if spec gamblers consider a 20% decline at 5×1 would … wipe out the “investor” and leave nothing? E
But why would anyone want to manipulate the price of gold?
Richard Russell (2007): The answer is obvious enough. Rising gold is a red flag… if gold rises too rapidly, it attracts attention, it makes headlines, and then people ask questions. Rising gold might even give the whole plot away. You see, the fiat currency thesis is basically a fraud. It depends on a certain amount of systematic inflation (about 2 percent a year) in order to survive.

re: “Blue Butterfly”, 11/2025
feat: Eindhoven, NL (“End Courts”)
Smiling BCP,
The obscure Trine (“three, trio”) Publishing has announced next month’s release of “Blue Butterfly”. The alleged non-fiction work allegedly may include a president and a prince among others in its storyline.
Trine Publishing appears to be headquartered within a modest office in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It’s situated on a square named after a late Queen of Holland who had become the world’s first woman billionaire. Trine’s Eindhoven office had circa 1934 been the home of a Dutch cigar maker. The smoking concern later became part of a Danish headquartered cigar manufacturer perhaps overseen by a family foundation for good works. Its middle name pays homage to St. Augustine of Hippo from the fifth century ad, patron saint of printers. One of his well-regarded books is “On the City of God Against the Pagans” published in 426 ad. He wrote another famous book which appeared sometime before 428 ad: “De Trinitate” (On the Trinity).
ps:
I forgot to mention that there is a plaque beside the office front door in Eindhoven as follows:

Over my investing career I have observed that at every market bottom there are a hundred reasons to sell. And that at every market top there are exactly one hundred reasons to buy. It finally occurred to me that to call tops and bottoms with accuracy all you have to do is count the reasons to buy or sell. When you hit the magic number of one hundred, you get a turn.
The metals shares seem to have topped on Thursday before taking a swan dive the next day. We must have hit a hundred reasons to be buying resource lottery tickets. And on Friday we may have touched the hundred reasons to buy gold and silver so the metals fell out of bed.
The DSI for gold and silver closed at a reading of 89 on Thursday before plunging on Friday to 73 and 72 respectively. We have not marked a major top in either metal. It will take a DSI of 95 or higher for that to call a top. But it sure looks like a great time for a correction.

“The Republican president had said in July when the project was announced that the ballroom would not interfere with the mansion itself.
“It’ll be near it but not touching it and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of,” he said of the White House.
The East Wing houses several offices, including those of the first lady. It was built in 1902 and and has been renovated over the years, with a second story added in 1942, according to the White House.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said those East Wing offices will be temporarily relocated during construction and that wing of the building will be modernized and renovated.
“Nothing will be torn down,” Leavitt said when she announced the project in July.” https://apnews.com/article/trump-ballroom-white-house-east-wing-demolish-a3efb2973d4d4e45f98b02e55210c538
Every President since Grant has whined that the White House should have a formal ballroom. Trump is spending his own money to make it happen. Because he’s a builder by trade, it will be better than advertised, and be on time and under budget. The WH gets rebuilt every 30-50 years. This is no big deal…
no way . what the pope needs a bigger kitchen or tv room , so he knocks out a dome or 2 . trump would never pay for anything , probably still owes money to contractors from 1990s.as far as builder goes he wrote up his own certificate or found one in a cornflakes packet

Folks,
Those exiting the London Underground at Bank Station may be on their way to visit a Bank of England street neighbor, LBMA (London Bullion Market Association). The latter’s museum website informs that the BofE operated its own gold refinery named St. Luke’s Refinery for a short period following WW1.
The refining operation established itself in an edifice previously purpose-built in 1786 for St. Luke’s Lunatic Hospital in the London suburb of Islington. Modern day followers may recall Islington as the locale of PM Sir Keir’s rented out home firebombed last year allegedly in part by a 21 year old Ukrainian male model. Prior to being housed in Islington, St. Luke’s Hospital had first begun its work near Bedlam in 1751 under the guidance of Dr. William Battie or Batty.
At least the kneelers get to exit the Underground.
The fine folks visiting london bridge/tower – not so much. The associated nursery rhyme VERY Creepy, creepier than “Ring Around the Rosey, Pocketful of Posey’s”

A little help..,
I need a new personal laptop.
I built a Dell laptop last year., with Windows 11 Pro – but that is solely dedicated to my math research projects – and I have had very little interaction with the OS. [ except trying to keep it’s bloody nose out of my business. ]
My dual processor trade station is slowly being converted to an A.I. research station. As my days of being an aggressive stock trader are over., and I have a growing curiosity in taking a deep dive into A.I. and my three monitor, dual processor work station should help tremendously. [ Nvidia graphics card. 4 hot-swap-able 2T SSD drives.., etc etc. It’s a beast.]
So.., my new laptop will either be a Windows 11 Pro., or Ubuntu Linux. This will be my internet computer.., movies., mail., shopping.., here. Going out and about in pixel land.
I have been considering a Dell workstation as it can come with Ubuntu 22 installed.., and I have never had a Linux computer. [ which is a draw for me.]
The help? Which would you consider: Windows 11 Pro – or Ubuntu Linux ??
Any info., suggestions, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Homeowners in Pacific Northwest city are warned their land has now been given to NATIVE TRIBE… and that eviction could soon follow
The mayor of a picturesque city has warned homeowners they could soon lose their properties after a Canadian court ruled the land belongs to a native tribe.
The British Columbia Supreme Court awarded the Cowichan Tribes an Aboriginal title over roughly 800 acres of land in the city of Richmond, a suburb of Vancouver.
The tribe was also given an Aboriginal right to fish for food, according to the court’s August 2025 ruling which was reviewed by the Daily Mail.
