Fluff Filter Friday – Omni George

Good Friday, is it?  Well, it depends who you ask.  And the biggest problem is keeping a clear head when news flows are off-point and distorted.

Use the News – from You Out

One of those precious moments of clarity showed up at the liquor store Thursday.  Elaine and I were on our way back from a (routine, preventative) medical check in Tyler, Texas.  We stopped at the “dispensary” of ETOH and the big news everyone was talking about was a six-car accident on FM 315 outside Chandler, Texas.  Four or five injured, one seriously enough to require a Life Flight helo evac.

There was no discussion of Trump, no mention of Ukraine, and certainly not the NY dying paper trying to boss-around who a Supreme Court justice picks to be his law clerk. Even Joe Biden’s (traitorous in our view) scandal of the Open Border was on the low-beam.

Instead, local news ruled.  Because it triggered the “It could have happened to me…” response.  Local matters.

Curiously, the news hadn’t hit local media – didn’t show up (at least that I could see) on the local TV news channel.

Gets me to the point that “police and fire beat” news has really fallen out of favor for the half century plus I’ve been covering things.  But people’s focus – with the overdose of new flows – has been away from the local schools, cops, fires, and accidents.  In its place, gender, scandals, and open borders.  Frankly, not sure what to make of it.

A lot has to do with news economics.  Beat Reporters (which I cut my teeth on) did a morning call list “back in the day.”  We’d touch base with the local cop shop, talk to 9-1-1 dispatch (and drop by with donuts once a month) plus called the Coast Guard and scan surrounding communities for close-in regional news.

It wasn’t hard to write, sometimes there were interesting “man bites dog” angles to it. But people seemed interested in how close uncivility was coming to their home.  Today?  You don’t even have to leave the house – just turn on your phone, hit Farcebook or X and everything cries of alarm, injustice, anger, and fearmongering is right there in your face.

During my days (at the old Selectric) keyboard, we didn’t have the overhead of helicopters, high end electronic news gathering (ENG) equipment, which caused the news to move into an unspoken alliance with the marketers of major industries.  The television empires got oodles of ads for their prime-time TV news shows, and in return, no one questioned the clot shot.  It was not evident to most, though we lost a ton of revenue for not playing-along with the bullshit paradigm of mass thought-control.

Not to begin this “semi-holiday” with a rag on how society changes – slowly enough over time so that we don’t notice it, until someone points it out. But I got more local news picking up a couple of bottles of hooch than 20-years of social media.

When it finally dawns on you – that you can be your own reporter on (and of) Life – you’ll find the people around you, if you listen to what they have to say – rather than laying your own trips on them – will do a great job of keeping you current and “in the local groove.”

The curse of modern media overdosing is that everyone seems to think THEY are the Big Story.

Um, no.

Markets Are Closed Today

However, even so, the “government” offices are open so we will be sending the days carload of press releases to the shredder without taking time to pull more than a few passing headlines.  Because most of it doesn’t really matter.

The small bits that do?

One is the Personal Consumption and Expenditures data.  Which is sketchy because its claims you’ve been saving for that bright future at leaves no one in our circle can even dream of.  Notwithstanding, here’s the hype-sheet:

Personal income increased $66.5 billion (0.3 percent at a monthly rate) in February. Disposable personal income (DPI)—personal income less personal current taxes—increased $50.3 billion (0.2 percent). Consumer spending increased $145.5 billion (0.8 percent). Personal saving was $745.7 billion and the personal saving rate—personal saving as a percentage of disposable personal income—was 3.6 percent in February. Personal outlays—the sum of personal consumption expenditures (PCE), personal interest payments, and personal current transfer payments—increased $149.9 billion.

The runner-up in Economic Fairytales is the glop of International Trade and Inventories from Census.  Fairytale because trade just got whacked this week due to the bridge hit in Baltimore which will hose-up Ex-Im figures for years to come.  Still, in the interests of “urinalism” here’s the already outdated perspective on these:

About all we’re left with is Jerome Powell speaking later today.  Could be fun, too.  Because with markets close for Good Friday, Powell is in a window where he can hint (and maybe more than hint) at where this is all going. Because the market will have a three day weekend to digest it all.  We would not be surprised to see him open the door (in a most circumspect way) to NOT getting to the “possibly three rate cuts” everyone is banking on this year.

We put on a minor short position over the weekend (not all-in, or anything) but with the wars pending, economics arguing inflation is still around, so the Fed logically would raise, except as my consigliere noted, this IS  an Election Year….so it’s like Jimmy Dodd’s old Anything Can Happen Day in the early Disney Musketeer shows back in black and white TV times. Well, except Anything Can Happen was Wednesday, so more correctly Powell’s gig today falls on “Talent Round Up Day.”

Were the Mickey Mouse Clubbers around, they’d have run out of talent to round up several decades back.

Where in the Long Wave?

Feeling lost in Economics, are you?  Well, the Long Waves we follow are still in play.  We can see it in the Dow Jones Industrial Average over time.  Typically, say some authors, you will get five cycles of 9-15 years between Kondratieff long waves.  Our last visit to the crapper was back in 2009 when things bottomed out, which means we are likely in the finishing part of a fifth wave.

I have drawn some blue outlined boxes to help you see it.  Notice, if you will the yellow circles are the big daily volume spikes that typically accompany major wave count directional changes.

Under Elliott, the left (wave 1) can never be the smallest wave, the middle wave must always be larger than it, as well  and the right wave must always be bigger than 1, but it can be smaller than 3.

My consigliere (and others unmentioned) spend time pondering what drives this oddity of human behavior.  Is there an off-planet clock that drives us to repeating behaviors?

The same type of pattern can be seen in Bitcoin, if you look for it.

All just a matter of time, I suppose.

This morning, BTC was slugging it out in the $70,210 area. Yes, we will see if the Fed Boss touches on competition from the crypto con one of these days.

If we still had our airplane, a flight out to the Bay area for the Macroeconomic and Monetary Policy Conference would be in order. But, since we don’t, and policy moves at glacial speeds, we’ll just work on the greenhouse.

Headlines as Indicators

Here are some things to be very afraid of:

They are coming here, Joe! Mob in Mexico brutally beats suspected kidnapper to death hours before Holy Week procession. Open borders means people who engage in mob violence are welcome here.  Or, is that a plan?

U.S. Boots on the Ground in Israel? OK, sure, they are calling it “Gaza” but…it’s now owned (possession is 99 percent of ownership) by Israel and when we read DOD in early talks to fund a peacekeeping force in Gaza we are appalled that we’re going to war.

Another Nostradamus Puzzle Piece

We continue to admire the prescient work of G.A. Stewart whose books and writings on how Nostradamus predictions are lining up to become real in our lifetime has continued sliding into place.  Most recently, his work on “France do not extend there again” was a hand-in-glove hit with the recently militaristic French president Macron talking about raising French troops to fight with Ukraine.

But it wasn’t until I read a Comment from reader J.C. this morning that the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.  For he cited this:

Nostradamus Quatrain VIII-17
The affluent suddenly cast down,
By three brothers the world miserable and troubled,
Marine city seized by enemies,
Famine, fire, blood, pestilence, and all evils doubled.

The attack on a “marine city” seems to be an event that leads to war.

As I described in Chapter VII, “the marine city” may be connected to the terrorist incident at a port city that brings Henri Selin to the public’s attention.

Nostradamus and The Third Age of Mars
The Complete Prophecies of World War III
G. A. Stewart, 2019, Page 536

Surely, a different “marine city” than Baltimore, right?

But how, then, do you explain the part “By three brothers the world miserable and troubled” when this story rolled in such close proximity?  Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and big-name entertainers help Biden raise a record $25 million for his reelection | Mint (livemint.com)

Yeah, there is a way of “sliding the puzzle pieces” that MIGHT be construed as making a fit with Baltimore and the three brothers is liberalism leaders shaking down their affluent friends…

We’ll be checking Stu’s column daily waiting for word on the next puzzle piece moving.

In the meantime, we’ve got France marching to (the former) Macedonian lands which will collide with Putin’s going to Odessa and west from there… We’re wondering if Kazakhstan knows something: Citizens of Kazakhstan are recommended to leave Odessa and Kharkov regions of Ukraine (interfax.kz) The ramp-up is underway Russia again attacked Odesa with rockets overnight on March 28 / The New Voice of Ukraine (nv.ua).

Around the Ranch: Ham Radio Corner

Been debating what to add as my “last radio purchase” to round out the hobby.  At the suggestion of reader Hank, the Icom 7300 was on the short list, but so was the Icom 7610.

Finally got to a decision last week. Picked up a recently serviced and updated TenTec Omni VII.  Not a bad looking radio even though it’s a few years old.  It was also nearly $3,000 cheaper than a 7610.

Big enough display (once you get past my poor photography skills):

There were a number of points that got me into the Omni.  I mean besides the price.

  1. TenTec is an American manufacturer. Of all the radios I’ve had over the years, Collins, Hallicrafters, Hammarlund, National, even World Radio Labs, I still prefer the American rigs.
  2. TenTec is really top shelf for CW (Morse) operations which I dearly love. They have the smoothest break-in keying of the bunch.
  3. Technical numbers are very close, too.  Rob Sherwood is likely the world guru in ham radio receiver rankings and his website here shows the Omni with -140 dbm receiver capability. The 7300 is exactly 1 db better in terms of ultimate sensitivity. So was the second sample of the 7610 reported.
  4. The valuable eHam.net reviews, oddly, were also supportive of the Omni.  The 7300 had reviews of 4.6 stars (out of five), the 7610 received 4.5 stars (which I found surprising).  But the Omni? 4.9 stars.

For $600 saved versus the 7300 – and a lot more compared to the 7610 – seemed like a good choice.

Even as good as it is (the audio is very clean and smooth) there are still some items I wish it had.

  • Both Icom radios have real-time band scopes (spectrum displays).  This is one of those features I seldom use, so pressing the “scan” and waiting 2 seconds isn’t worth a lot of difference in price.
  • Things like dynamic range narrow spaced at 2 KHz bating 80 for the Omni and 84 on the 7300 is awfully close and unlikely to make a discernable difference in normal operations.  In fairness to Icom the IP+ function is a DSP deal having to do with how noise is treated, but a full discussion would be a book and I didn’t care there.
  • Unlike the (spendier) Orion, this radio doesn’t have dual receivers.  Not that I’d use it.  I have that on other radios and it’s kind of like “dual zone a/c in the car.”  Looks good on the sales lit, but when comes to actual use?  The passenger’s likely in the same temp zone as the driver, kind of thing.
  • I’d like some of the smaller memory-function displays on the Omni to be larger.
  • And pressing a knob to shift from Audio gain to RF gain on one knob seemed a little pointless.  Two knobs would have been nice – along with a dedicated CW speed (maybe press that for mode switching autokeyer to bug mode) would be nice.

But overall, very pleased.

Remember, even at a “young 75” I appreciate that as the personal wetware platform ages another decade or three, that the radio will mean less than the condition of the operator behind it. Many hams my age are already in “hearing aid country” and that’s why ham radio with a big screen display and working the digital modes seems to be quickly rising in popularity.

OK, work time…

  1. If people have more money in savings it’s because their income tax check has been deposited and not spent yet. That won’t last long

  2. The Omni VII is great, I paid $2300 I guess for it at the last TenTec sale maybe ? 15 years ago? And 3200 for the Centurion Amp. There is a nice American feel to using it. I got the rear fan for it but still, putting my hand on top of it just receiving, seemed to run hot, so I set a little fan on TOP of it also, blowing air into the top, for additional cooling.

I have joked with my neighbor for a decade about his $3800 hearing aids, teasing him with my $50-$100 Britzgo hearing aids. I recently told him I have quit buying those expensive $50 hearing aids and now have some good $12 ones:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/385425246679?

They really do work well if you give them a chance! Now when I lose a hearing aid working in the garden, it won’t be one of those ridiculously expensive $50 ones!

    • I tried an inexpensive set of hearing aides and still couldn’t hear. The $7,000 pair are definitely worth every penny. Louder isn’t necessarily better but I’m delighted the cheap ones works so well for you.

    • I’ve been wondering if hearing aids might be worth the effort. After a lifetime of loud construction noises and diesel engines, I might try a pair at $12.00 or so. I suppose I can always return them if they don’t work. Unfortunately, they’re ugly unless you have long enough hair to hide them. People might even think you’re OLD!

Contacts and hearing aids? Who’d have ever thought life would come to this?

      • I’m with Eleanor on this one Mike. She certainly has a Cadillac pair at $7,000 but $12 ain’t going to buy you anything but a couple of ear plugs.

When I decided at 65 that I wasn’t going to win any more beauty contests and I was sick and tired of saying “eh?” to every question even though I am a Canadian, I bit the bullet and got good quality hearing aids from a professional audiologist.

These are not sound amplifiers but rather mini-computers with software to match the areas of hearing loss you are experiencing (usually high frequency). The cheap sets just amplify the muffled sounds you already experience and you will quickly ditch them and say hearing aids are no good.

The best analogy I can think of is from 65 years ago when my wife’s (then girlfriend’s) father told me he had a colour TV. When I saw it, it had blue cellophane (remember that) across the top third of the screen, red across the middle third and green across the bottom third. It worked well when there were scenes with lots of sky and grass but not much else.

Joking aside, “after a lifetime of loud construction noises and diesel engines,” do yourself a favour and go to an audiologist, get tested, try out a personalized pair that repairs your hearing loss. Take them back after a month and try out the $12 hearing aids. Make your decision.

One more thing. There is a lot of evidence now that loss of hearing can lead to cognitive decline. You may not need hearing to visit George’s column every day but would be at a serious disadvantage with cognitive decline.

I am sure that Eleanor has a lot more hair to hide her hearing aids than me. Bald since 40.

  4. George,

I found your interpretation of the three brothers interesting. I saw it as the three Superpowers, but your interpretation of Obama, Biden, and Clinton can also be spot on, and it speaks to the multi-dimensional interpretations inside of Nostradamus’ writings, thus proving his Gnostic inclinations by using enfolded information.

The Quatrain that you mention follows the Triplicate Series that I associate with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Pay attention to all of that paragraph that you quote, which I enclose below, because it follows your prediction of a Chinese attack on Taiwan this coming month. That sets up the Nostradamus’ May 10th Los Angeles earthquake as a possible nuclear attack instead of an earthquake; I began writing about that possibility in my 2017 book.

    Here’s the complete series:

BILL CLINTON – THE OFFENSE OF THE ADULTERER

    Nostradamus Quatrain VIII-14
The great credit of gold and abundance of silver,
Honor will be blinded by lust,
The offense of the adulterer shall be known,
That succeeds to his great dishonor.

HILLARY CLINTON – THE MANNISH WOMAN

    Nostradamus Quatrain VIII-15
Towards Aquilon [NATO] great efforts by the mannish woman,
Nearly all of Europe and the Universe vexed,
The two eclipsed such that they become the hunted,
And for Pannon (Hungary) life and death reinforced.

NUCLEAR WAR IN THE AEGEAN SEA
    STATUS 6 POSEIDON NUCLEAR TORPEDO

    Nostradamus Quatrain VIII-16
At the place where HIERON [Jason] had his ship built,
So great a flood and so sudden,
That there will be no land to attack,
The wave climbs Fesulan [Thessalian] Olympic (Mt. Olympus, Greece).

    THE AFFLUENT SUDDENLY CAST DOWN
NATO – RUSSIA – CHINA AT WAR

    Nostradamus Quatrain VIII-17
    The affluent suddenly cast down,
By three brothers the world miserable and troubled,
    Marine city seized by enemies,
Famine, fire, blood, pestilence, and all evils doubled.

Nostradamus and The Third Age of Mars 2024, G. A. Stewart, 2023, Page 1,764

“The affluent suddenly cast down” brings us back to Quatrain VIII-14 and the hint that “the great
credit of gold and abundance of silver” may refer to The Global Economic Collapse.

“Les trois freres” I suspect is Nostradamus’ reference to the three superpowers. Obviously, if they go to war they can bring “misery and trouble to the world”.

The attack on a “marine city” seems to be an event that leads to war.

As I described in Chapter Seven, “the marine city” may be connected to the terrorist incident at a port city that brings Henri Selin to the public’s attention.

However, I am more inclined to believe that “Cité marine” may be the military bases that China has built on made-made islands in the South China Sea, which the United States military has threatened to destroy.

As always, many thanks for the mention!

    • Stu, I am wondering what your thoughts are for the Paris summer Olympics this year, now less than 4 months away. I have a strong feeling they may be cancelled. Russia athletes are required to compete under a neutral flag. Will they be sent at all?

Thank you for your continued great contributions.

    • Gnostic my ass. Try Kabalistic, zioman.
2030 is Ure deadline date..works must be completed. 2 1/2 years prior 3rd temple built on site of dome of the rock,to “enthrone” Ure antichrist figure.

      How’s that for PREdicktion ?

      • LOL, you are an individual who has approached knowledge from a twisted perspective. That makes you worse than the sheep.

Calling me a DICK in your very childish rap allows me to take the gloves off in our discourse. I you still pissed off from my last reply to one of your comments?

You see, I understand that you skirt civility and honest discourse by hiding behind whatever it is that you call this writing style.

Just call me a DICK without hiding behind your abuse of the English language. I’ll be plain, “Man up fucker!”

Awhile back you wrote about the “Left Hand” not knowing what the “Right Hand” was doing. When I read that, I said to myself, “Here is a person how has read the Nag Hammadi.” Unfortunately, you didn’t read much more, so it sound more like you are stuck in the David Icke or Jeff Rense mode.

When I see someone use the word Zionist, I know exactly where that leads. I have been around your kind too long.

Do you use the word Zionist meaning the “Sabbatean Jew Conspiracy Theory” and that its the followers of Sabbatai Zevi who are responsible for the world’s ills, or do you believe that its more inclusive and it’s “Ashkenazi Jews” who are running the world, or is it just that all the Jews in the world are bad?

Funny, my Jewish friends don’t seem to be planning a world takeover.

On my level, I believe that it is the Canaanite followers of Baal who are running the show. And that translates as the Satanist Pedophiles who attend Bohemian Grove parties as the ultimate culprits.

Do you want to limit yourself to the Nag Hammadi texts in any debate on Gnosticism or are you an expert? Show me the goods in plain English.

I like to include the Vedic/Hindu Scriptures.

Here are my cards; throw down Mr. Mouth; show me the Home Work you’ve done.

Nostradamus and The Age of Desolation
The Persian Magi worshiped Ahura Mazda and his son Mithra. It has been suggested that Ahura may also refer to the thirty-three ruling Devas in Vedic mythology.

For the Zoroastrians, the Devas were believed to be former Asuras who had rebelled and were exiled to Earth as evil spirits. Mithra leads the yazatas, or the spirits of Truth.

Zoroastrians have long regarded the Ahuras as beneficial, and the Devas are thought of as demons.

As I have shown in Chapters Four through Seven, in Hindu mythology, the Asuras and Devas take on opposite roles. Also, from the word, Deva, whose root means “shining”, comes the words divine and deity from the Latin deus. All of these names are related to the Indo- European sky god Dyeus, known in Greek mythology as Zeus.

There are some scholars and archeologists who propose that this proto-migrating group originated in Turkmenistan around 2200 BCE. This area is known as the Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex or the Oxus civilization.

The emergence of the Essenes is an important clue to understanding the evolution and purpose of Christianity. It is the continuation of the resurrected god myth that begins with the Sumerian tale of DEMU.ZID and continues with the Egyptian tale of Osiris, and the Akkadian tale of Tammuz.

The Syrians and Greeks recount this story as the myth of Adonis, whom they named after the Phoenician god Adoni.

For the Jewish people, one of the spoken names of G-d is the Phoenician plural form, Adonai.

The ancient Hebrews had seven names for God: Eloah, Elohim, Adonai, Ehyeh-Asher- Ehyeh, YHWH (Yahweh), El Shaddai, and Tzevaot. Tzevaot is translated as Sabaoth and it is used in conjunction with the God of Hosts or Heavenly Host. In The Pistis Sophia, Jesus Christ calls Sabaoth his father in heaven.

The Pistis Sophia is one of the most Gnostic texts. Have you read it?

Therefore, smart person ( I don’t want to misgender), “Saboth” is central to Gnostic writings.

And since I’m calling and showing my cards, come up with an educated answer to that conundrum in plain English, so we can have a reasonable debate, or shut the fuck up. It’s that simple.

        • So, Zoroastrianism goes out into the desert, and reemerges later in a rug merchant’s shop, under new management. The stories continue.

        • Grammatical Errors.. Phew.. I swear there is some guy at google that typed into the auto correct program as a joke.. to switch writing.. I love it and hate it all at the same time.. every time I write something then making sure its ok.. hit send and there are a few if not more errors than I can believe..irritates me.. but then I remember putting a short program on a friends work computer that would remind him of his typing skills.. and spelling.. and think dam there is someone with a sick sense of humor like mine working at google.. LOL I for one appreciate the work you have done and think your a genius for deciphering the works of the ancients in putting the pieces of the puzzle together..

Oh here is the link to the book Pistos.. I have not read that one all the way just snippets of it..

    • My work, which is NON prophesy or psychic based, has identified this coming October +- a couple of weeks as the “idealized” time for a Chinese move on Taiwan.

That timing also matches up with Chris Carolan’s work wrt a potential market crash in 2024 on the order of 1929 (which he made in 1998ish), such crashes 80% of the time in recorded financial history (going back a few hundred years) have come in the fall.

That timing also matches up with Armstrong’s computer program (Socrates) which for the last 8 years or so has been saying that when things “break” in the fall of 2024 it is problematic as to IF the 2024 election will actually be held.

Ray Dalio’s book “The Changing World Order” further reinforces the idea that the current “American Empire” is on it’s last legs though he doesn’t give a date for it’s expiration, just that it won’t be too long in the future unless basic things are changed. (and as he points out in the book when things change wrt Nation States at the basic level they tend to change very very quickly and break a LOT dynamics in the economy and society SUDDENLY – as in weeks/months, not years/decades).

  5. Shortly after the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed, former fraud investigator and veteran Jimmy Corsetti took to X and pointed out that in Obama’s new Netflix movie “Leave the World Behind” there is a scene where a massive cargo ship crashes into the beach after losing power from a cyber attack.

Corsetti added in the thread that the cargo ship in the movie was named the “White Lion” and highlighted that the country of Sri Lanka has a lion on its national flag.

He then noted the Dali cargo ship was en route to Sri Lanka before it tragically crashed into the Key bridge.

In the closing minutes of Obama’s movie “Leave The World Behind,” it was revealed the cargo ship crash and cyber attacks were part of a three-stage plan to destabilize the United States.

    • Based on zero knowledge at all…
I wonder if some (many? nearly all?) big ships
can be remotely commanded – steered.

I mean, bridges now conn the ship with use of on-board networks and remote controls of all sorts. Huge propeller modules – “Azipods” — are controlled by little knobs. Extensive use is made (I think) of automation and auto-pilot.

I guess the question is: Can ships be hacked?

..or is a hand on the tiller still a tight requirement?

  6. WOW.. This will be the first good friday that I haven’t shown kids how to make injection molded easter eggs..

    https://youtu.be/5lVUImt-e0s?si=sWGHuZmM79vr7QYD

to blow out eggs.. the video above is a good simple one.. injection shell.. I won’t go into making chocolate.. that is to time consuming and seriously how many people really have a wet grinder the days when mom sewed clothes and quilted knitted a sweater etc.. is pretty much long gone.. today we run to walmart or some other chain store that buys them and sells them… LOL..
chocolate coating two parts of chocolate .. one part of cocoanut oil .. (may need to sweeten it up a tad.. depending on the chips..) that is your shell material double boil it.. then in ject it into the egg shell blow it out.. with a lens blower.. or you can get a cheap injection blower on the zon..

  7. Another Nostradamus Puzzle Piece:

Could be Baltimore, or… it could be Odessa. Or as the quantum field likes a back up and duality 00. It could be both.

Great call on the three brothers George. The “shakedown” is “economic collapse”.The dual meaning? Grabbing donations..

Smells like a two way match.

    • Interesting. I’ve not watched the movie though I’ve been tempted to, but the Obamas being behind it is a rather sickening thought. I find everything about that family distasteful and gross.

From the moment I saw the video of the Baltimore bridge collapse, I felt it was deliberate. Random floating things would tend to be moved into a channel rather than out of it. It seemed that the ship made an effort to have a direct hit on the pylon, though media claims otherwise. Looking at the collapse frame by frame, it seemed that there were flashes where sections parted, and not all of them were near the high voltage lines. It seemed that the bridge was deliberately dropped in a way that totally closed the channel. It’s dropped out of the major news stream for some reason, though I’d have thought it would be newsworthy on an hour by hour basis. I suppose it wasn’t a major set of towers in downtown NYC.

If it takes more than a week or so to clear the channel, I’m of the opinion that the system is deliberately dragging their heels. The military could clear that channel in a couple of days if they chose to.

      • After reading a lot about cranes arriving and “starting to remove debris”, I’ve yet to find a web cam of the bridge, though the collapse was live streamed from several cameras. I’ve not even seen a picture of a crane at the bridge site with anything at all on hook. It’s been over a day since the big crane arrived and all I see are videos of talking heads. It’s much more useful to see machinery in motion – people talking is simply not useful or interesting.

I’d say that those in charge are doing all they can to delay real action.

      • The bridge must be cut into sections before they can individually lifted out the smaller sections.

Unfortunately it looks like the steel beams are almost ALL under compression stresses of some sort so cutting them with torches would be extremely dangerous for any welders trying to do that since once a beam is cut free it are going to move like a bullet in some unpredictable manner as the compression stresses are removed possible killing the person doing the cutting. (seen the remains some horrific accidents in steel mills when things have gone awry with steel being under compression stresses when the compression is suddenly removed)

Because of the danger of cutting apart the bridge while beams are under compression stresses my guess is that many of the first basic cuts will have to be done by precisely placed Shaped Explosives to cut the beams … and it is going to take a survey of the wreck to see where to place them, and then get them placed (some, maybe most, will have to be placed under water). Once the compression stresses are removed then they can go to work on cutting up the bridge with regular cutting torches.

  8. Oh.. a simple shell mix.. is just a one two three mix..
    1/2 cup corn syrup
    I cup of water
    2 cups of sugar..
Heat this up.. then once your syrup is nice and hot.. take a meat injector.. and inject it in the egg shell.. cover both holes and roll the egg around.. this puts a nice candy shell on the inside of the shell.. also strengthens the shell to..
then take your chocolate shell material and do exactly the same thing.. with the meat injector with the hot chocolate shell coating.. you now have the glossy finish..
after it is cooled down you can inject your caramel or marshmallow cream etc..cap the two holes off with the candy shell material and then decorate your easter eggs.. in the morning you can crack and take off the shell to find a filled easter egg..
    I myself like mounds..
simple recipe.. coconut shredded.. and sweetened condensed milk.. mix till it gets to the consistancy you like.. take your candy mold.. put the coating in it.. swirl it around then dump it in the bowl.. put your filling in the shells and then cap off with chocolate take your frosting knife or spatula and wipe off the excess.. just like you would screed off concrete.. put in the fridge for a bit to cool you have your mounds.. below is a couple of great videos showing the easy parts.. that seem to confuse everyone..
you can blow mold your own bottles.. and stuff to.. heat the plastic up to two fifty then hit is with air in the mold.. but I won’t get into that.. LOL..
the first time I worked with that stuff was long time .. way way long time ago.. when the dairies were changing from glass to plastic jugs.. day labor I worked helping to assemble the first blow injection mold for milk jugs.. now all the molded stuff is done in china.. but in the day we did it here.. including the molding of tv trays and baking dishes.. still got a case of those someplace.. we got to take home the seconds LOL..I used the ziplock plates and tops for lunches..
    https://www.ebay.com/p/1400193956
funny how we use to make that stuff.. now we don’t..
here is the candy filling etc.. have fun anyone that is interested in trying to do it.. it is really easy.. back when the kids were little.. we didn’thave the money to buy store bought chocolate eggs.. the only way the kids would get the same as the rich kids is if I made it.. what surprised me is how often the kids whose parents could afford the store bought were jealous because of what the kids got.. amazing.. one year we only had twenty dollars.. and I made everything and my two youngest siblings were so jealous of the kids.. that they threw a fit.. even though dad spent a fortune on them..

  9. (“news has really fallen out of favor”)

someone just asked me why I don’t watch the local news..
in thirty minutes on MSM news.. you will hear I hate trump 120 times.. it was way worse when he was president.. so I can say.. to myself.. oh they hate trump.. and I have the thirty minutes of news covered.. in one second..
they eliminate the important news.. that isn’t covered.. and if any of it is.. its trumps fault.. there I just gave you the days total news..
Dam trump opened the borders.. its his fault.. trump is supporting illegals its his fault.. the weather.. global warming is trumps fault.. dam him anyway.. Biden is good and honorable and Hunter is going to be the next POPE and he is going to open a daycare.. I can’t wait to see the photo of him with children on his knees.. ( not on theirs ) .. how much more honorable can you get.. than that image.. if you notice.. when they show him out and about he is carrying a child.. the image is what would have been called a subliminal injected just like the photo of Joe on the bed with his two kids in the hospital.. hmm.. that has a nice family emotional ring doesn’t it..

  10. I am getting excited.. two things coming today.. my big horn flame broiler and some good shit….
I wonder how that will taste on burgers in the broiler.. hmm might be a supper idea for tonight.. I just have to pick up some buns..

  11. And … on a serious not serious note: have a great Good Friday all

Tonight we have friends over – Mrs. E is her usual lovable but apoplectic self.

Me? run away, run away. Off to the pole barn to do tractor stuff.

    Always,
    Egor

    • I actually don’t think they have a choice but to be committed to their goal..
the time to back out was at the beginning before they decided to go down this path.. the time to close the borders was before they opened them and started handing out cash.. I read something the other day that said they were going to give green cards away

      • It is like the woman I knew.. she inherited a half million dollars.. her brand new car was paid off.. her job was paying top dollar.. she got SS for the kids that were still young and her late husband was a government worker with a pretty lucritive retirement package.. free medical and dental.. back in the days when a half million was a lot of money..

She started to dump her pocket change into video lottery.. then she would tell us about the winning.. I said come on.. those machines are set to what percentage they pay out.. you are not winning.. then the thousand dollar high interest loan… in three years.. she lost her paid off house.. all the money she had gotten.. cashed in his retirement package.. and lost her car.. living at the local shelter .. she lost it all .. friend of mine did the same thing with Stocks and commodities.. thought he couldn’t lose.. once the interest started to double you have just a short time to get it right..
The usa’s interest started to double last year..now our deficit is going up a trillion every three months.. in thinking about this escalation next year it should be every six weeks.. then every two weeks.. and an administration that has a high interest credic card and is on a shopping spree..
I don’t think he can turn the titanic away from the ice berg right now.. allowing millions of illegals than supporting them with printed numbers.. only quickens the results.. we cannot pay back the results.. its going to be pretty ugly.. trying to print ourselves out.. is only speeding up the journey to zimbabwe and Argintina type monetary value..
I have been in the death spiral.. still pay for it to.. mine was over medical bills.. the USA’s is out of stupidity and vanity.. Even if we pulled back our whole military excursions and cut everyone off.. put the energy back into building america great again.. I don’t think we have enough.. so.. those with no goals.. only has one.. they have to get the raw resources to back the dollar.. Gaza war gets them oil and gas.. raw materials.. I believe that is why they are pushing for war.. to gain value again.. to the victor goes the spoils..

  12. Down the road about 10 miles in the little berg at the crossroads there are what I call the “Ruins” of a small little town. Just a couple old cafe”s, a defunct old gas station and a small grocery store is all that’s left. In front of one of the remaining little buildings known locally as the pitch hall since I assume that it was once a den of iniquity is a hand painted sign that has been there since I was a little boy. Under that is an old bench where several old men and a few scallywags according to my grandfather would sit.The sign says, “Free advice given on any subject.” If you wanted to know anything about anything or anyone that is where you would go for such. As a lad I would accompany grandma to pick up mail. I would sneak over there to hear some of their stories but Grandma would usually be there to snatch me away and tell me not to go near those bad old men. I hold her responsible for any missed education I would have received from those wise old Sages.
    Stay safe. 73

    • Utter bullshit. It might take a fleet of tugs and an UDT, but I’d bet the shipping lanes of the Port could be opened in less than two days, were someone inclined to do so. The bridge can be salvaged at leisure. The important thing is to drag 1000 feet of span out of the shipping lanes: Cut & drag, cut & drag — they can bring it up later.

    • Whoa Nellie!

cant be telling genuflecting kneelers truths during high holidays, they apparently cant handle it.
So no mention of on board redundant ships systems that prevent lose of steering/means of navigation if vessel loses power- installed in all modern ocean going vessels.

Nein, nein, nein cannot let that “cat” outta da bag, what would people think ? That USA and USA Pop. are at WAR and under attack?!
Nein , they must be distracted – more doom porn, more negative energies and fabrications to indulge Ureselves in.

*Baltimore already went to hel, I wanna know when does the London Bridge finally fall down ? Before or after the bloody king kicks the bucket, or has his “noodle” already been cut?

Time be getting trickier, Mandela Effect-ing everything/body..

      • You can clearly see on the videos of the boat hitting the bridge that they directly, intentionally, at a accelerated faster pace, not slower, hit the bridge.

Lights on or off they steered that ship right into the bridge.

Regardless of saying they lost steering ability, it is obvious they did not!!!

That ship was used to demolish that bridge. Insurance will cover the ship.

        What about the bridge?

  13. ham, Ham, HAM!! … It is Friday … do you know where YOUR Discount Ham is this weekend?
(if not why are YOU letting it do an unsupervised Walkabout?)

OK … time to raid the grocery stores for HAM since they are practically giving it away again due to Easter. 80% off of the regular price for meat is imo a GIVE AWAY sale.

Krogers marked down their Honey Baked Sprial Sliced Store Brand Ham from $4.59/lb to $.89/lb, or an 80% off sale (card required but no digital coupon required)

Giant Eagle marked down their Hickory Smoked Sprial Sliced Store Brand Ham from $4.49/lb to $.69/lb and 85% off sale ($25 in other purchases plus card required)

Meijers marked down their Store Brand spiral sliced ham to $.89/lb (no card required). Forgot to look at original price but think it was $4.49/lb so 80% off

Walmart I didn’t get to but it generally marks down their Store Brand spiral sliced ham too but before Easter it tends to run $.30 to $.60 MORE than the other stores … but AFTER Easter they mark it down to LOWER than the other stores sold it at, so thinking before Easter $1.49/lb and $.69 to $.89/lb AFTER Easter (last year as they closed out the final bits I think for a day or so at the end they got it down to $.49/lb)

Anyway … Ham as long as you keep it IN the UNOPENED AIR TIGHT plastic bag it was pressure cooked in should keep 90 AFTER it’s expiration date in just the fridge as long as your frige is COLD. Most hams I looked at this week have a mid to late May expiration date. Freezing of course gives you almost unlimited storage time – only have to worry about freezer burn.

    • But don’t eat your ham today. It’s good Friday. “Fish Fry Friday” Back in the 60s Catholics were forbidden to eat meat on Fridays. Growing up in the midwest every restaurant, bar, and ‘supper club’ had a Friday fish fry. We were not Catholic, but every Friday the family would venture out to some new place to try out their Friday fish specials. In keeping with tradition I will be heading out to our fabulous Fish & Chips place in the village today.

    • GC ,

  14. The bridge bills are starting to be tallied.

Of course it’s a shame when someone dies on the job, we know six people were killed in the bridge collision.

“Claims for damage to the bridge alone could be some $1.2 billion, Barclays’ analysts said in a note Wednesday, with wrongful death liabilities likely totaling between $350 to $700 million. The analysts also expected some to-be-determined business interruption claims.”

Six folks. If I read that correctly the families will be getting between $50,000,000 and $100,000,000 per less a lawyer fee of between $50,000,000 to $100,000,000.

    Point me to Saul.

    • Amazing to me that two people in that crew that went into the water from 185 feet up actually survived! It is reported that the authorities were able to close the bridge traffic due to the early warning from the ship. But looking at the video of the collapse, there are several cars going across the bridge. The last car appeared to be speeding, and made it across just seconds before the collapse.

    • Immigrants are worth LESS than native born types … so 6 immigrants dead shouldn’t total more than $20 million.

What I find interesting about the 6 deaths and 2 saves is that the ENTIRE road crew were immigrants yet Baltimore is 60% Black. umm …. do unskilled Baltimore Blacks NOT do blue collar labor?

Not a SINGLE Black on the road repair crew … and those are GREAT PAYING JOBS due to government pay requirements for contracted labor (or even better paid … actual state or city employees)!! With 60+% of the city being Black you would expect at least some of the repair crew to be Black because of the high paying nature of those jobs.

Draw your own conclusions … but mine is that the company or government entity hired people it knew would WORK! vs Featherbed!

      • “WORK! vs Featherbed!”

Reagan said that about the ‘fuss’.

“When the Labor Department is forced to relent and let these visitors do this work it is of course all legal. But it makes one wonder about the illegal alien fuss. Are great numbers of our unemployed really victims of the illegal alien invasion or are those illegal tourists actually doing work our own people won’t do? One thing is certain in this hungry world; no regulation or law should be allowed if it results in crops rotting in the field for lack of harvesters.”

I see the point by looking out the window. Most everyone at Boeing is slacking so much if we ‘don’t allow tourists’ planes parts fall from the sky.

BK Boeing/auction the means of production/hire people who want to work. We missed the shot with General Motors.

        • The illegal alien job shops pretend to confirm the illegal alien then put them into the construction jobs.

It’s a club, hard for a citizen to get in.

All the illegal women/wives have babies who are born American citizens, and dual Mexican citizens at birth and the USA gives benefits at birth. So the illegal families do very well uplifted by graft good paying jobs for the men and the benefit gravy train by the woman. She pretends she’s not married, the USA can’t track anything including marriage and foreign birth certificates.

It’s a big con job on America.

  17. re: Banderites in London?
    feat: rectified spirits dissolved

    Folks,

Asleep Woke appear to be blissfully unstirred that subtle anti-semitic forces may be shaping up to franchise their way out of Lviv, Ukraine – birthplace of the WW2 nazi Stepan Bandera – in a march across Europe. Today’s “Kyiv Independent” brings word that a first franchisee of Lviv-based Pianavy Shnia (Drunken Cherry) has opened in Soho, London (in a former historical triangle of merchants catering to carnal lust and drug dealing). The space had most recently housed a sex-themed Italian fare restaurant offering diners their selection of organ presented upon plate in any sexual orientation of choice. Further inquiry in support of food science clarified that bj shots were indeed on the bar menu.

Speaking of spicy stuff, a couple of weeks back the London dining blog “Hot Dinners” gave a short spiel on the new Ukrainian kid on the block. They also included a picture showcasing staff in cordial repose. The uniforms were not the blue and yellow of the Ukraine flag, but rather red and black coinciding with Bandero supporter usage.

A further coinkydoink is that the Lviv owner of the Drunken Cherry chain also heads up a restaurant Pid Zolotoju Rozoju (At the Golden Rose) situated across from the Meylakh Sheyket synagogue infamously destroyed by nazi sympathizers in WW2. The “CJN” (Canadian Jewish News) sent an undercover reporter to the Lviv dining establishment eight years ago who wrote of apparent anti-semitic realities being served up.

  18. Well I tried to bring the old man into the present realms of ham radio technology… I tried. Two things I prefer on my 7300:
One is the full time spectrum scope. It’s addictive, and I wouldn’t have a radio without one now. Makes it easy to find signals up and down the band at a glance. Once you’ve used it, you never want to go back.
Second item is the direct RF sampling and SDR works that completely eliminates RF conversion artifacts. Bit slicing is the future of everything. Maybe I’m biased as I had to learn the internal works of digital HDTV before I retired, but I saw a lot of this technology develop well up into microwave frequencies. A studio-feed of full bandwidth HDTV is 1.2 Gigabits. That’s a 1.2Ghz square wave. That’s how fast the IC chips are that bit slice it, compress it, modulate it, and pack it into a 6MHz wide RF channel. Think about that! Freakin’ Magic.

    • Hank, you may find this interesting about an ATSC 1.0 station that is already broadcasting in 4k. (as you are certainly aware ATSC 3.0 is having real teething problems)

From “The Antenna Man’s” YouTube channel:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_94q9TCCDY

“In this video I discuss a TV station that’s broadcasting four channels in 4K, two in 1080p, and eight in 720p all on one single RF channel in the current digital TV standard. These channels can be picked up by most modern TVs without the need for an expensive ATSC 3.0 tuner. I also interview the TV station’s owner with some questions about this miraculous discovery. “

      • The digital compression artists that design these algorithms are nothing short of black arts magicians as far as I’m concerned. It just defies the laws of physics I learned as a young ham geek. If you want a “look into the future” it’s called ‘forward error correction’.

      • This adds to my contention for the last 8 years that instead of phasing out Short Wave Broadcasting, substituting internet delivery, for Voice of America and the old Radio Free Europe. (how is that working out for the US now that China has the Great Firewall … and Russia is implementing the same?) the US SHOULD HAVE come up with a new technical broadcast standard and built 100’s of millions of low cost receivers to distribute FREE OF CHARGE all around the world. In mass the receivers I mention below with custom chips made in mass (tens of millions a year) could probably have been produced for about $10 each.

With the new data compression standards by my calculations of what the new compression can do one could include a reduced quality narrow band AM signal (so old receivers could still receive it) plus a Digital Voice signal with combined Text of what was being said AND a translation chip in the receiver that would simul-translate that text to a number of different verbal languages AND a slower scan TV signal for display on an LCD screen on the receiver at the same time ( a compressed 8fps 160×320 B&W piggybacked onto the rest of the signal)

OH … and the SW digital audio signal would also have forward and trailing error correction built into the voice and digital text part of it to compensate for the fading that AM SW experiences.

All of that can now fit onto a standard SW Broadcast AM bandwidth signal of 6khz.

The only place that type of technology is being pushed (but only partially) is India which is forcing it’s AM stations to switch to an efficient digital format with error correction since distances can be vast in India and they want better distance coverage for their AM stations since FM is only good for the cities. (yes Europe has a digital radio requirement for AM in some countries too now … but it is not as aggressive at compression and doesn’t have FEC requirement like India’s newer standards do)

This 100% reliance upon the Internet for directly communicating to people around the world is going to collapse over time as more and more countries institute Internet restrictions (don’t even need to just talk about China or Russia … just look at how Europe is now trying to prevent X, Google, Facebook as to the content they can allow into their countries – massive fines against ALL of them wrt content have been proposed or imposed in just the last month)

  19. re: “Azira: Blood From the Sand”, 2006
feat: revenge of Chelsea’s wedding guest?

    Folks,

The unraveling has begun in the Americas and Ukraine? “Wired” published its report about a broke data broker emerging as a new entity. The predecessor had encountered difficulties following revelations of cellphone tracking pings which led from Little St. James Island to places high and low. Apparently the data had made its way briefly into the public domain on new entity Azira’s website according to “Wired”.

    https://www.wired.com/story/jeffrey-epstein-island-visitors-data-broker-leak/

We interrupt regularly scheduling programming to join DJ George connecting us with the twilight zone periphery. Here’s Nick Vasallo with “Black Swan Events”.

    https://youtu.be/B0HF0rzbJHo

  20. You can RUN but NOT HIDE

A Data Broker had data for sale as to WHO visited Epstein’s Island … and the data tracked them all the way back to their homes in the US (or elsewhere) so they could be individually identified as well as their movements around ON Epstein’s Island to within just a meter or so while they were there. (July 2016 through July 2019 when Epstein was arrested)

It isn’t just the government that can track you … Data Brokers have that data too and will SELL IT TO ANYBODY that passes their customer screening procedure (why do you think the US Government is using Data Brokers to buy this kind of data? NO Search Warrant required so the government is using Data Brokers a LOT anymore it appears)

    https://www.wired.com/story/jeffrey-epstein-island-visitors-data-broker-leak/

Remember .. even if you put your cell phone on “Airplane Mode” the data as to your travels while it was in airplane mode will still be going to Google or Apple once you turn your phone back to it’s regular mode

You can RUN but NOT HIDE anymore (if you carry your personal location beacon … ala Cell Phone)

    • Take a number…but it still turns on and it’s something I might be able to work on.
And I might buy a couple of 7300s to shut people up – one for g2 aka KF7OCD
